BYOB
I loved this place. It was on a Sunday afternoon. I went to church alone and found myself craving something afterwards. It was supposed to snow that day, and I wanted to come home quickly, but I decided to go against it for some reason and found this gem of a restaurant.
The food was incredible and beautifully plated. The artistic direction was appreciated, especially after realizing several other restaurants I wanted to go to were closed. And the taste of the appetizer and meal were better than the presentation.
The service was perfect, considering I was the only person there on the starting to snow afternoon. The waitress served me with attention and detail, making me feel special and cared for throughout the entire time I was there. Could be chalked up to me being the only person there, but it doesn't take away from my review.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was divine with the decorations and the serenity of the empty space. As pictured below, it was a lovely time to be there. I was the only person there, replicating a scene from a movie. It was magical because of the circumstances of the day, but I still give it 5 stars because of my willingness to try a new restaurant!
I would recommend! Bring friends and family to enjoy!
Every time I have been here I have enjoyed amazing food, from their curries to their appetizers. I always did wish they offered more dishes, but to my delight they have specials on a smaller menu! From there, I got the taro rolls. These were really good, thin crispy wrap with mashed taro and soft carrots, and there was chicken in there but I really couldn’t tell, not a bad thing. I also got the red curry duck from the specials. This was amazing! The sauce was sweet and spicy and creamy, the vegetables included peppers and pineapples, adding extra sweetness. The risotto with it was cooked well and had soft mushrooms inside and added to the texture with the crunchy pineapples and the tender duck. The duck was fatty and flavorful. I have enjoyed their curries but this was really next level good! Service is always good here too, and it’s a relaxing, beautiful restaurant!
I went here today with my boyfriend. All the workers were very nice. The woman at the door was very welcoming and greeted us when we walked in. The atmosphere felt very relaxing. There was soft music playing in the background and the decor was very nice😍
The food was amazing. The appetizers, entree, everything! It was a pleasant experience and I will definitely be going again.
Oh this place is a delight! Hidden gem 💎. My friend and I were walking down Mainstreet and stumbled upon this restaurant. The service was amazing !! So friendly and warm! We got the sampler which was amazing! Super tasty. The Tom yum soup was the absolute best soup I have ever had! So flavorful, so light and so fresh! We ate it with a side of sticky rice 🍚 and it paired so well with the broth. The seafood fried rice was so delicious 😭😭. Enough for 2 people. It wasn’t heavy and the flavor were out of this world! Definitely will be back !
I really tried to like this place given how nicely decorated it is and the relaxing ambiance. The Pad Thai was good, portion is big, and the plating looks great as well. However their special/signature dish Panang Beef was a huge let down. There are 4 gigantic pieces of beef and they are the toughest and driest beef I had. They don't even provide a knife so I'm trying to break it apart with my fork and spoon. It's difficult to swallow them as they're so dense and hard. I hope the chef can do a better job actually tasting and checking the quality of their food because there's definitely something wrong if this is what their signature dish is like

Very good, service at lunch was a little slow
I had some of my favorite thai food in the city here! Myself and two other vegans had red and panang curry with tofu (delicious) and an amazing mango sticky rice. SO TASTY!! The aesthetic in there is also lovely and the servers were delightful. IMO this place should have a higher rating!
Been here a few times and it was great. Unfortunately this past visit I got sick very rapidly and intensly after my meal. Likely was food poisoning, and I ordered pretty much what I always order. Not sure if I'll come back here.
Great Thai food and amazing ambience.
Chabaa Thai is our favorite Thai restaurant. Moon, the woman who runs things smoothly even with crowds is fantastic! Prices are super fair. Food is delicious.
The food is 4/5 but their website is broken. Two times I have ordered on their website for pickup and both times they did not receive the order and I end up waiting in person at the restaurant. They need to fix their website ordering.
We had a party of 8 for Sunday lunch but were able to order from both the lunch and dinner menus. Restaurant was beautiful with calm attentive service and knowledge of the menu. The food was excellent with reasonably sized portions and plated elegantly. Thank you for a perfect birthday celebration!
Not yummy. I tried two apps and two entrees on a Friday night, and it was all underwhelming.
I used to live in a neighborhood of Seattle with nine Thai restaurants in a one-mile radius. Chabaa can go toe to toe with any of them. The drunken noodles are especially good.
I also appreciate that you can order from the Yanako sushi menu as well (at least at lunchtime). The only thing that could possibly make this better is a combined delivery menu!
So dining at Chabaa was a happy accident! I wanted sushi and my husband wanted thai and we read the sign as we were walking past at lunch one weekend and saw that chabaa would serve sushi from next door as well as their thai menu. We went in and my husband began to rave about the food. I was shocked. He spent over a decade on the west coast USA eating amazing thai food. He has been in Philly for 20 years and always complains about Thai food here. Until Chabaa! The waiter told us that chef Moon makes regular trips back to Thailand to get more inspiration every year. I tried some of his plate and also thought it delicious. I came back with friends a month later and we had a Thai feast. We finished up with sharing two mochi “flights.” Delicious. It’s BYOB as well. This is going to be a restaurant i frequent on the regular now!! I hope you get to dine there as well.

The food was amazing. The appetizers, entree, everything! It was a pleasant experience and I will definitely be going again.
The literal best ribs I've ever tasted. I will be back to this place often.
Prices were a too high, and waiters didn’t ask if we wanted anything to drink, but the food was phenomenal.

Really nice place to eat, cute atmosphere and good food. Prices are a bit high but the portions are good too. If you like sushi, they have a secret sushi menu that you just have to ask for. We liked the crazy noodles and chicken pad thai.
The food and service really sing here. Atmosphere is light and open... very nice. The menu is not 'expansive', but what they have is all very well prepared. Service is on point. Timely, good with recommendations, relaxed. Chabaa is one of my regulars.
My husband and I LOVED this restaurant! We had thai iced teas, green curry, and crispy duck pad thai - and I recommend them all. The interior of the restaurant itself is also gorgeous and the service was incredibly friendly.
Best Thai food in the area, we've tried quite a few places and this is definitely our favorite. The Pad Thai is so good.
Excellent food, nice restaurant, and very friendly staff! I got the red curry and it was very good.
The food was good tasting but literally there was no chicken in the curry dish just a couple tiny pieces and just a few onions and peppers.
Blind order via Door Dash....1st try.
Called to vet the spot.. I got questions!
Septo picked up... he was super cool and advised me that they were closing for the day at 3pm and assured me that if I ordered they would deliver by 530 ish as they reopen at 5pm He answered my questions and we hung up. Order pre placed and I waited. Nervous as my stomach doesn't like surprises lol
Food came...it was still on the warm side and I tasted.. wow I was happy.
I requested my onions be chopped down finely.. and asked for sweet and sour sauce.. they missed the mark on those but food was tasty. Thai Fried Rice with Extra Chicken...no tomatoes No Broccoli. Simple like I like it.
Thank you! I will visit & Order again.
Best Thai food in Philly!!! Honestly, my favorite restaurant in Philly. Such a fun place to dine in. Gorgeous decor and BYOB.
Not a bad dish on the menu — The Beef Panang Curry and Spicy basil fried rice are absolute showstoppers.
I really tried to like this place given how nicely decorated it is and the relaxing ambiance. The Pad Thai was good, portion is big, and the plating looks great as well. Good food. They are not open for dine in during lunch hours but Yanako, the next door serves lunch menu of Chabaa.

Best cow soy in Philadelphia, almost as good as the ones I had in Thailand. Chabaa Thai fries all the noodles vs the Chiang Mai ones I had had the boiled rice noodle in the bottom and only a handful of fried noodles on top. I am a happy camper though. The picture is from one of their appetizers as I forgot to snap a picture of the cow soy. My friends really like the pad Thai and is one of the reasons we visit also
The waiters are nice and pleasant.
A bit pricey, but enjoyed the Pad Thai with salmon.
I don't remember what I had took a picture of it it was excellent ain't really good completely different spices the waitstaff help me pick out a know the dish I had and you can bring your own bottle of alcohol
so good
Edit from below original review: I ordered again. The $20 curry had 9 very small pieces of chicken in the entire thing (I took them all out to count). Still hungry and very disappointed, this place could be very good if they weren’t so laughably cheap with portions. If you really want to order from them, order 3 $20 entrees + 1 app for 2 people.
The flavor is 10/10, really is the best Thai around. However, they short you on the protein. $20 for a curry should have at least the equivalent to small chicken breast but mine had about 10 tiny paper thin bites. I’m still hungry after curry and dumplings.
We will order from them again and if they aren’t so cheap with the chicken I will revise to 5/5 stars.
Amazing service and food. We were blown away.
Delicious 🤤 we got the Po Tek to go. It’s a 2 person seafood soup.
I was so happy there were two of each type of seafood (and 4 large shrimp!) or else my husband and I would have done battle lol
Friendly and patient (I went to the wrong door first) pick up staff. Interior looked beautiful from what I could see. I’m glad we decided on chabaa thai 😄
I am and have been a big fan of Chabaa and Yanako for 15 years i think at this point. We went to Yanako 2 nights ago and had a great time. Tonight at Chabaa i ordered the Chef's Special Beef Panang. The flavors were amazing, however the texture of the beef, which was a roast beef cut, meant to be cooked low and slow and should fall apart was still restricted by it's fat and tendon and very dry despite the delicious sauce. I had to ask for a steak knife. It didn't help. The beef had excellent flavor, I told the waiter. Moon was there that night and we spoke, because we had seen her and eaten at Yanakoa a couple of nights before. Sadly, my experience was not resolved. I made my complaint and no one higher on the food chain came to explain my disatisfaction .
The food was amazing and our server was so nice and helpful. However the hostess was quite rude. We arrived at 545 and we did not have a reservation. She told us we needed to be out by 730 because of later reservations. It would have been nice if the website suggested you to make reservations and the hostess could have been a bit nicer about it. We will know better for the future though.
One of the best restaurants in Manayunk. We ordered 6-7 dishes to share and everything was excellent. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite restaurants in the world, and I've done a lot of traveling
I’ve been eating here almost weekly for months. It’s my favorite restaurant in the Philly area, probably anywhere. Best Thai food I’ve ever had. The chaabas mild chicken soup and red Thai curry are my go to. But their spring rolls, specials, and drunken noodles are all always delicious. Their spice is no joke either.
We order Chabaa takeout 2-3 times a month and are obsessed. The flavor is outstanding and the dishes are consistent.
This is not "cheap" takeout, it is decadent and worth the money. We always get Panang Curry Tofu, Red Curry, Pad Thai, and extra rice. For two people, that is enough food that it stretches up to 3 meals.
Whenever we have friends over, we order from here & every time they come back that's their first request - it is a total crowd pleaser!! We sometimes joke that Chabaa is the reason our friends make the trek to Manayunk & deal with the parking lol.
Chef Moon, who I have met personally, is lovely and so personable. If you see her in the restaurant everyone will be saying hi to her; she's very well loved!
I thought this joint was amazing good wait staff and food was great
Chabaa Thai is always amazing! Any time I have friends in town, I take them here because the food is so consistently good. It’s also phenomenal for groups with different food preferences (plenty of meat and vegetarian options). Service is friendly and attentive, and the owner is just lovely. It’s byob and everything’s very reasonably priced. I recommend trying the specials because they always have new ones! Truly a gem in Manayunk.
Fantastic! Ordered the crispy spring rolls and the green chicken curry. DELICIOUS.
Calm and warm atmosphere. Just right amount of variety on the menu. Food was great! We had the Tom yum and the Tom kha soups — the Tom yum was really comforting! Green curry (shrimp) and spicy basil fried rice were amazing too! They offer a 1-5 spice level. If you regularly eat spicy food, start with 3. 4 is pretty spicy (could work with sides of plain rice). 5 could be unbearable. We did 3 and 4.
The staff here, though very kind, has not been properly trained about the items on their menu and their kitchen is not accommodating for vegetarians. The first time we ate here, we specifically asked the waitress if their curries were completely vegetarian - no animal broths, no fish sauce, etc. She assured us it was. We went back and clarified before ordering a second time and were told "I don't know who would tell you that, it cannot be made vegetarian." Due to an utter lack of communication with the staff and the customers, we ate an entire curry with fish sauce. I have never experienced give such false information about a dish without even checking with the kitchen, a lack of labeling on the menu regarding vegetarianism, and an inability to alter the dishes (only 2 entrees were vegetarian) - something extremely common these days. We reached out to the management to clarify or rectify the situation and they haven't responded. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions - be careful!
The only good thing for this restaurant is server very nice. Food is very pricy, even higher than some fine dining in center city. We spent over $200, and left with hungry. Small portions. Chicken skewer(sate) is dry, and dipping sauce is weird. Pad thai cost $24???. Soup with stinky flavor. Will not be back, don’t waste your hard work money. Seriously.
I've never left a bad review for a restaurant before but this one was necessary. The waiter was very polite and attentive. When my food came out I could immediately smell something that didn't seem right. I ordered the Duck Pad Thai and it tasted too gamey to consume. The smell was nauseating to me. I've ordered Duck before at many different Thai restaurants but this plate did not smell right. After one bite I decided I simply cannot and will not eat it. I politely asked my waiter if he could take the dish away and I order something different. When the Chef/Owner comes to my table she was very defensive and confrontational. She tells me she will still charge me full price for the dish and I can order something else off of the menu and pay for that too. When I expressed my disappointment with how she was handling the situation and treating me as a patron she only became more defensive and unpleasant. She tried to get me to take the disgusting dish home and I further explained immediately that I had no desire to do that since I refuse to consume it. Once I realized this was going no where I opted to take the check and leave immediately. I will NEVER ever come back here again. I will NEVER recommend this place!
We came here for dinner for the first time. The servers and hostess were very polite. We ordered two appetizers and two main entrees. One of the entrees which was a Duck Pad Thai did not taste right or smell right. We have eaten at many Thai restaurants and have ordered duck and was very pleased. This duck however didn't smell or taste as expected. After only two bites we asked if we could order a different entree. We were not treated with accommodations or pleasantly. Disappointedly the "chef manager" said you can take the dish home but you will be charged full price and will need to pay for a new entree. We explained that we don't want to take it home because we won't eat it since it did not taste or smell right. She was very defensive and offered a discounted entree. We immediately decided to pay our check and leave. We will NEVER come here again or recommend this place to anyone we know. Their attitude and the other food was at best - simply subpar. We've had much better Thai food AND overall service downtown Philadelphia and South Philadlephia. This place is a no thanks- strong pass! NEVER AGAIN!
food is delicious & the restaurant is super cute inside
Some of the best Thai food I've had in quite a long time, all of the food here was wonderful, the iced Thai tea was absolutely delicious if you like Thai tea its a must try, and all of the food was wonderfully crafter, very nice staff, the waitress ran out for me because I accidentally left my card on the table, the ambiance in there is beautiful very lovely resturant.
5 Shrimps in a watery sauce with some vegetables isn't what I expected for $24. The pineapple shrimp dish was listed on the 'chef's recommended' list so I gave it a try.
Maybe it would have been different if I dined in but my first experience with this restaurant has been subpar at best.
Great service. Food is generally very tasty, but it could be quite a bit spicier.
Dry food, and over priced for appetizers
Very solid Thai location. Great spot for a date with a partner or friends !
BYOB is an initialism meant to stand for "bring your own bottle". For me, It's a little funny when I'm sitting at a table and suddenly my table or another table pulls out a liter of a bag or a purse and staff doesn't mind that you did that. The place have a nice and beautiful decoration although the bad do not have television although that brings us closer to the people that we are having dinner with.
For my appetizer, I had the Spring Rolls, Thai sweet vegetable chili sauce very crispy and delicious, there were 3 and they were pretty big.
A had the Pineapple Fried Rice (with shrimp and chicken) ... In a REAL PINEAPPLE!! Yes, the rice was inside of pineapple making this a lovely experience. The portion is not that big as I had in others places, but it had a decent amount of meat both chicken and shrimp, and the curry rice had a good taste, it was cooked to perfection. Both chicken and shrimp were juicy, tender and very yummy. I really recommend the Pineapple Fried Rice, with whatever you want to have it. Is really delicious.
The staff is great, very efficient, friendly and generous, attentive, and accommodating always seeing that their table has everything they need.
Should fire the waiter who is taking care the phone . She hung up when I tried to order. How on earth if staffs refuse customers because they do not recognize the name of the dish? this is a thai restaurant and some dishes can be hard to pronounce. I think she should relearn the names of the dishes.
By far my favorite place to eat on Main Street. I could eat the green curry for every meal for the rest of my life and be ok with that lol. The serving is so huge that I can break it up into 4 different meals. Highly recommend Chabaa Thai. I like to order when I want to treat myself it's SO good!
When you enter the restaurant, you pass under an archway that invites you to their cozy but warm interior. Accompanied by the soft ambience, pleasant instrumental music and eastern artwork, dinner just can't get better. The food itself was delicious. I wish the sampler plate had been bigger or we'd gotten two. The chicken satay skewers were really good. But it was nice to try everything else too; the fried tofu starter was a pleasant surprise. For the main entree, I ordered a pad krapao, but realized that unlike when I've eaten it on the other side of the world, they didn't have a fried egg accompanying it. But the kitchen was very accommodating when I asked for the fried egg on the side and I even got complimented on knowing how to properly order the dish. The perfect ending was the mochi; we got the mango flavored one.
This place is amazing. Was able to sit outside during Covid. Had some dietary restrictions due to sensitive stomach. To chef actually came to my table to make sure what she was going to prepare for me was going to be ok. I can't remember the last time the chef came out of the kitchen to make sure I would be ok. Can you? The food was amazing (had Wild Salmon). Their white rice is amazing, which to me is the litmus test of a good Asian/Thai restaurant :)
This is what I got after asking for more tea in my half way filled thai tea cup. Found papaya salad to be bland compared to other restaurants but was ok I guess. Won't return.
Update:
whats the point to respond to dispute the customers opinion. Never asked for a free refill just what I paid for. As far as the bland papaya salad your other customers didn't have the same experience I did. It was bland and portion were small. Nothing to dispute your not a perfect establishment. Admit a mistake and fix it. That simple. Keep your free drink not worth my business. BTW I also own and run a restaurant. This is not how you respond!
Adorable BYO with some of the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had!
Delicious Thai food! Everything we had I would have again! Especially the crazy noodles and curry!
Excellent service, exquisite food. We got Spring Rolls, amazing. Fried tofu, also amazing. My entree was Crispy Duck Pad Thai, a divine experience. I got Thai hot, it was a journey of flavor with gradual slow burn. Definitely will return!
The food was fine, a bit on the bland side though. Green curry is not really green, way too much cream sauce, scant vegetables.
The drunken noodles were bland not a hint of chili pepper. The Po Tek was delicious but if your charging 18 dollars for a soup the quart container should be filled to top, not three quarters. Ingredients were fresh gave 3 stars due to truly meager portions for what is being charged. Might, might not give them another shot, maybe in dining experience is better.
Vegan friendly , the red curry was amazingly good . :) cute spot , friendly staff
Really tasty 😋 food
The best pad thai EVER! Chef Moon takes such pride in her food. She takes the time to educate her staff on food sensitivities which is amazing. A quick call for vegan pad thai with no fish sauce and I am in heaven.
Tonight was the first time I have ever ordered from Chaabaa Thai. I had read the raving reviews and crossed my fingers that it would be true for me too. And I can confidently say that I fell in love with the food as soon as it arrived!
Each dish was delicious, flavorful and arranged with true artistry. I will be ordering from them again via their site! The delivery person was great as well. 10/10 experience start to finish.
Absolutely delicious! Pad thai is amazing as well as everything else I’ve had here(spring rolls, dumplings etc), even with it being take out. My go-to manayunk restaurant!
I ordered the pad Thai tonight and it inspired me to write my second ever food review. It was so delicious. It was takeout, yet when I opened it the presentation was still amazing. Two bites in and I knew it was the best I’ve ever had. Not too sweet, tofu has a little nice crisp on the outside, and doesn’t even need a meat. I ordered mine with shrimp, which was amazing, but you don’t need another protein cause this is that good.
Best Thai food in the area! Steamed dumplings and Pad Thai are my go-to!
Food is always amazing. Check them out when you are in town!
The worst service I have ever seen. First they told me that your order would be ready in 20 min. After 45 min my order was not ready, when I asked again the phone girl told me that cancel your order. That is not professionalism.
Great food! Handsome servers! Amazing outdoor and indoor ambiance!
Food is amazing. Service is struggling to keep up.
The food is always good but the service by the waiters was terrible. I have had several bad experiences with one waiter ad asked not to be served by that waiter however the request was ignored. The waiter that I had a bad experience slammed my food on the table with an attitude and when I told the manager I was just simply seated somewhere else. Also the silverware was dirty. Although the food is awesome I'm not sure I would return.
One of the most extraordinary places you'd ever visit. If you are looking to try new things that you have never tasted before, this is the place. You can't go wrong with anything you order. Service is amazing.
The best fried rice!
Awesome pad Thai
We had a fantastic dinner !! The salad with the peanut dave and curry chicken were incredible!! Love this place. We will definitely be back soon!!!
Best Thai food in Philly! I have never been disappointed and you can never go wrong with anything you order. I have been going here for about 6 years and it has always been consistent with amazing food! My favorites are the steamed Chicken Dumplings, Crazy Noodles, Green Curry, and Pad Thai.
Location is super cool. I like that they have a parking place beside them and you buy the ticket and park your car safe. They have different restaurants in that area. I see all foreigners in that area. Chabaa is closed when we went, but the menu is served in yonkie( if im not wrong) beside chabaa.
Overall, Food is yum.
Tried appetizer sampler and thai friedrice with chicken and egg. I just loved it.
We wanted extra spicy but wasnt that spicy we expected. so 4/5. Would recommend.
I just went today for my friend's son 8years old birthday party... it was the most delicious Thai foods i've ever had in PA. Let me tell you what i had, chicken satay was sooo good, not too greasy. Sushi was delicious, spring rolls, shumai, Chicken pad thai, Beef curry, and King crab fried rice was soooo delicious. The restaurant itself very beautiful from the inside. Not forget to mention the dessert, Mango sticky rice was taste exactly the same like the one that i had in Thailand. The owner herself great everyone of us from each table to the other table. She is very sweet and warm. Definitely will go back to this restaurant whenever i go to Manayunk ❤
Great tasty food and good service! Clean and inviting :)
Great food, great service. Mix of everything you want in a Thai place.
Love! Love! Love! This Thai place.
I along with a friend of mine, stumbled upon this place after discovering our choosen place to have dinner was closed.
Everything from the ambience, service, hygience, portion size and taste was on point. We had the red curry and crazy noodles. It was hands down one of the best Thai food I've had in a long time. Can't wait to come back to this again
Great food and good service
Pretty good cuisine, reasonably priced, and BYOB.
Got the pad thai and it smelled like a dirty kitchen mop/rag. Def overpriced
The food was tasty, traditional and fusion Thai food were both good. It's BYOB but beware of the cork fee.
Ambiance is nice but food is just ok quality for too high prices. Also 'spicy' is toned down for sure, not true thai spicy. Recommend phu fa thai up on lyceum for takeout instead.
The food was really good but the waitress was a bit pushy. Not the cheapest Thai I've ever had but really like the pad Thai. Panang was good too.
Great food and service and drinks
Delicious.
Not crowded if you go 5-6pm. Food great, friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, relaxing.
Slow service despite server working incredibly fast and efficiently. Food fresh and unremarkable, yet moderately priced. Nice decor. No bar.
Stopped in with a large group for dinner. Staff was very friendly and food was served quickly. It’s also BYOB!!
Thai tea is the best of all
The best i every had a little pricey but worth it and the shrimp had a godly smokey taste and was huge pad thai was very good thank you
Very nice restaurant pleasant staff food is really good I know the owner Moon, and she is an excellent cook you will not be disappointed with her food.
Foods are taste good , noce place.
Much roo loud and uncomfortable. Food is good.
Never disappoints. Still my favorite spot for Thai in Philly.
The staff are very friendly. The ambiance was great and food was amazing! Planing on going back again even though we live almost an hour away.
I order from here all the time, and today the chicken in my curry was undercooked and inedible. I understand mistakes happen and I can live with that, BUT I hate when someone won’t immediately try to fix it. When I called to let the restaurant know, the woman made me wait on the phone while she talked to her kitchen staff to ask if they had undercooked the chicken. Of course, they said no, which she reported back to me. What was her point in doing that? To prove that I’m a liar? Also, she should handle that on her own time, not while a customer is on the phone concerned about the health risks of eating raw chicken. I can’t stand when a place has bad customer service, I really can’t. Not a favorite anymore.
For vegetarian people drunken noodles and vegetable fried rice is the best option.
Appetizer was wonderful, service perfect, ambiance special, soup was delicious, presentation "artfull". All went well till they brought out the entree "special", their Thai Surf and Turf. Lobster was perfect. Filet was NOT cooked "medium". It was bone dry (no sign of anything resembling pink, at all), and tough as shoe leather. I had to "saw" through it, to eat a bite. Not even smothering it in the wonderful sauces they brought or the gravy helped. I should have dined at Carmen's shoe repair in Chestnut Hill. Carmen's fine leathers are softer than Chabba's "special" steak! I'm an easy grader, usually assigning more stars than I should, but the 2 stars here is being generous.
UPDATE: Owner apologized and offered to make it right by recooking me another steak or refunding my money. She seemed sincere and truly concerned. Mishaps happen. How they're handled DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE.! UPGRADING TO 3 STARS!
Made me love thai food.
Good ambiance, service, and food
Great food.
WONDERFUL!
Love the panang curry! Everything on the menu is great. Relaxing atmosphere. A little on the pricey side though.
Good food; friendly service
Excellent service and great staff with knowledgeable recommendations.
