We are extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and customer care. Their unwillingness to address or rectify the issue was frustrating, and we ended up going to another sushi restaurant where we hoped our request would be better understood.

First time here tonight. It’s right across the Norristown Walmart in the same strip mall with Orange Theory. It’s actually nicer than we expected, very neat small restaurant that seems to be operated by husband and wife.

I had teriyaki chicken poke bowl while my husband had chicken katsu. Both dishes tasted great and are of decent portion. The interior, though small, is tastefully decorated; the layout is efficient so the seating is actually not super tight.

The female owner alone took care of the whole front, waiting all the tables while dealing with takeout orders. She’s very good at what she does and is very friendly. My only reservation is the canned soda price—$2.5/can seems pretty high.

A very delicious, cozy, strip mall surprise! The Mayflower sushi roll, Mango Chicken (Thai section), and my Udon Noodle Chicken Stir-Fry were really well-presented and flavorful.

Since we came after 7pm, the dinner rush was over, but there were still enough people to keep the servers busy. Thus, we waited a little bit longer for someone to come by at first, but the rest of the service was quick and good.

The place is really small and well-decorated, which makes it very nice, but it also causes a lot of noise just from a 5-6 person group talking at the table behind us.

This doesn't make any difference in the experience you'll get from their amazing food, but I've never seen a better looking menu in an Asian restaurant. Strange how other places just don't put any emphasis on this aspect of their presentation.

There was no green or red or basic Thai curry’s in the menu. The food was good enough though. It is just not what I wanted. But this could definitely a place if it’s near by to you and you don’t want tk cook at home.

I popped in last evening while I was waiting for my dog, who was at an emergency appointment, at the Metropolitan Vet, which is nearby. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. I’m so glad I found this restaurant. I have phenomenal sushi and an amazing hibachi dinner meal. The service was phenomenal. The sushi was fresh. I was so grateful to have a wonderful reprieve from my emergency with my dog. Thanks so much everyone I’ll be back!

Great food! The speciality rolls are all awesome.

Went here while on a work trip. Got spicy tuna roll and the tonkatsu. Spicy tuna roll was ok but not spicy at all. The tonkatsu was very tough, the breading fell off of it, and the sauce wasn't particularly tasty. I would not go back.

Sushi was good. Teriyaki chicken was pretty disgusting.

The last two times we ordered two maki combos and some tom yum soup. Delicious and price is fine for todays prices I guess.. I think the sushi has gotten better these last two times, I don't knwo why but it was amazing. Love this place.

This is my favorite sushi spot, as the sushi is always fresh and the quality is spectacular. I eat here at least once a week and have been going here for the past 2 years. It's one of those you wouldn't know it was there, types of places. It's also one of the few places that I know of that sells Yakisoba (this dish is definitely worth trying if you haven't had before.) Lastly, it's a small BYOB, front door is hard to open, seating can be cramped at busy times, and their lunch specials are a bargain, definitely worth trying...

I ate here on my birthday. They intentionally way way over cooked and salted my meal I was sharing with absolute strangers on my birthday meal. I was paying, it was my birthday dinner and the chef acted as I wasn't even there unless he wanted to use me for his lame jokes. He served the person getting my free meal first giving him half of a three portion dinner. (The smiling chef) When I took a bite of my food the person working the floor was watching me and laughed. Then I tasted it. it was all salt. Bloated stomach and headache. Dont forget to Say your grace if you are gonna eat here.
No Full refund? I was made to pay for a meal $130 I didn't eat, strangers did. Happy birthday to me!

This sushi restaurant is fantastic! The fish is incredibly fresh and they provide generous portions at an affordable price. If we hadn't moved away from the area, I would definitely be a regular customer.

best sushi i’ve EVER had!! the fish was practically melting in my mouth and it was so fresh. even the ginger (which i typically hate) was tasty! their customer service was amazing and the waitress working the night shift on 4/23/23 went above and beyond for not only me, but the other customers. although their prices are a bit high and their portions are a bit smaller than expected, it’s understandable with inflation right now. also, the shrimp stir fry we ordered was mainly veggies and didn’t have as much noodles as i’d like. but if you’re in the area and need a new sushi place, THIS IS IT!

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Fast service. The sushi pizza was absolutely delicious. I was expecting to be weirded out but it was fantastic. This place is a must go!

Love this place. We ordered the Sashimi appetizer and the Mayflower, Sunflower, Lemonade and Out of Control rolls. Delicious. If you like spicy, the Mayflower and Out of Control rolls were 👌🏼. The sashimi was also really good. 5 stars for sure. And the fried banana dessert was fantastic.

Sakura is probably my favorite local sushi restaurant. Everything is always delicious, staff is very nice and food is ready on time. They have a very diverse menu of Japanese, Thai etc. so I can bring my husband here who doesn’t eat sushi. Tons of cool special rolls. The thing I am not happy about is recently they raised the prices which is to be expected with the current inflation. There is a sign on the door and at the front counter saying the prices are up as of I think May 2022. However it doesn’t say how much and prices are not readily available online. Their 2 roll lunch combo went from $9.50 to $11.99 and one of the rolls I got was literally half the size it used to be! I am a small person, I normally can’t even finish my food and I was still hungry after eating both rolls, extremely small salad and miso soup. I also had the sweetheart roll a few weeks ago which used to be $13.95 and is now $16.95 - wow. That’s why I ordered only at lunch not being able to afford it anymore. These are VERY significant price increases that should be posted somewhere online. Sushi for me will now just be a “treat” dinner where I have to either really not care about the price or will need to ask the price over the phone for each item before deciding if I want it. Again, understood that the business needs to raise prices but this is takeout sushi and the portions are NOTICEABLY much smaller so it’s a big letdown.

The service was excellent, the food was delicious. There was a decent amount of options on the menu, the restaurant was very clean. There's not an interactive hibachi station. A bit expensive for what you get.

We went here on a whim after an event at the Oaks expo center. The host was very pleasant and our server was as well. The atmosphere was very cozy & the interior decently decorated. I had the "out of control roll", it was delicious. The mango iced tea is great, but very sweet. The rest of my party had the hibachi dinners. Everyone cleared their plates. Imust say the meal was a bit pricey for the portions served.The reason i didn't give this place 5 stars is due to the fact that there's no actually interaction with the hibachi aspect of the restaurant and the food wasn't "sizzling hot" when served. All in all, I'd eat here again if i were in the area.

My favorite Asian/Japanese food in the area. They just reopened for indoor dinning. Looking forward to dinning in again, but takeout was fabulous throughout the pandemic. They always take the time to package all takeout orders nicely and separate the hot food from the cold food in separate to-go bags.

The service is okay. We usually order our food to go. I don't think the food is worth the price. I don't like when restaurants increase their price but the food is the same or worse. Doesn't really make sense to me.

This is some of the best food I've eaten in the United States! Well done! Don't change anything. Fantastic!

Never had a bad dish

Wanted to try some place new so thought I would give it a try. Portions are very small compared to other places and had no taste to it. The sushi that my mom order ended up giving her horrible stomach pain after eating it. I AM NEVER COMING HERE EVER AGAIN !!!

For my surprise this local is"open" for take out only. Many local restaurants are open to the public!

Placed a simple order (Philadelphia rolls), was supposed to be ready in 35 minutes! I am arroving in 50 minutes and the order is not ready yet. The cook just starts to making it ( which took him all together 5 minutes).
Not the service you would expect.
Not comming again and not recommending to anyone!

My wife’s family is from japan and owned a restaurant in downtown Tokyo. They consider this one of the best in the Philly suburbs. Fish is fresh and their nigiri rolled proportionally (not too much rice and good sized fish). Definitely check this place out!

Good ambience and prompt service, but their sushi/sashimi were average at best and served on ice pack that made sashimi a bit too chilled, and not a fan of the battery powered lights on the dish.

One of the best sushi places! We have been to many sushi restaurants in the Philadelphia area. This place is as good as Fat Salmon, our favorite place in Philly. The rolls are large, and not too much rice on the outside like some other places (e.g. Pod in West Philly has more rice than fish). They have high chairs and booster seats. We went for lunch and it was not too busy on a Friday.

Delicious! The specialty rolls we got were amazing-fresh and flavorful. We also got shrimp fried rice - so so delicious, the shrimp is of great quality and the flavor is different from usual fried rice but we enjoyed it so much more. Highly recommend!!! Our new sushi spot!

I used door dash to deliver. The food arrived quickly. Everything was delicious. The portions were a good size. The sushi didn't have too much rice for filler. The shrimp dumplings were good and hot. The miso soup only had a little tofu, though.
