Relaxed restaurant doling out traditional, spiced-to-order Thai dishes in a contemporary space.
So yum!! Went here for a Bday celebration. It was pricier than I expected but worth it. The restaurant was eerily empty late afternoon on a Sunday, but we didn’t mind it; felt like we owned the place. The fooood was delish!! Portions were decent. Next time I want to ask for the fried rice instead of standard white rice with my bowl because it looked so good! Service was speedy and amazing! I would recommended this place and visit again! ;)
Dined here on a Saturday night; service by Anne was outstanding. Highly recommend the steak salad and crab fried rice. Fresh Rolls are a great choice too with the option to pick a protein. Prices are higher than other Thai restaurants in the area, but Sukhothai makes it up with quality and service.
Sukhothai has generous portions good for sharing. The papaya salad ($12.95 plus tax) and the spicy Thai sausage are can’t-miss starters. The drunken noodle with chicken ($15.95) came out with the requested level of heat (I chose “medium”). The interior is modern and understated.
This was my second visit. I remembered it more fondly than this current experience. Given my go to for drunken noodles was closed i needed an alternative. Service was quick but otherwise lacking. We were seated right next to the kitchen/bathroom despite many tables being open. My husband never received his tea he asked for (though we were also not charged). The biggest issue though was the food. Not only was the food not good but I am reasonably sure the shrimp were bad and I had to not eat them. It spoiled my appetite and we ended up leaving after paying. At first I thought it was possible the oil was the issue with our appetizer as my husband thought it might not be up to temperature. However, the shrimp in my entree were equally bad. I am disappointed as I hoped for a good meal after a stressful day.
Service was excellent. The Food came out fast but delicious. The coconut rice was awesome. I had tried different items. The beef stir fry was decent. Tried the Pad Thai Chili. That was very good. Also my favorite was the drunken noodles. It was so savory. I definitely recommend for anybody
We have been to Sukhothai many times over the years, always with a good experience. Most recently we had a table for 6. We made a reservation and the restaurant was full. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. There is something for everyone on the menu. We appreciate that there are 5 levels of spiciness to choose from and also a nice selection of gluten free options. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but our favorites are the Fresh Rolls, Red Curry, & Pad See Ew.
Enjoyed a solo late lunch of two starters and entree. All three were good with quick service. Will definitely return.
The absolute best Thai place. Staff is extremely friendly and the owner is very nice too.
Our favorite rest in Lancaster. Going again and again, never dissapoints!
Great place for an excellent meal.
Perfect portions, very fast, and tasty
Friendly and attentive, the food was delicious!
I love the decor, and the food tastes great
For a combination of food variety and quality, price, service, and atmosphere none match up to this gem in Lancaster! Check out their lunch special!

I ask for duck twice but they make a sweet bail with nothing on it
Have always had a taste for Thai cuisine, and I was very pleased.
This is my favorite restaurant. The staff is attentive and the food is excellent.
This is by far the best Thai food in Lancaster.
My personal go to is the chicken pad thai. Great portions, taste amazing. Very reasonably priced.
They even have an amazing lunch menu.
Highly highly recommend eating here!
My first time here. I had the luncheon special. The Pad Thai was delicious. The service was nice and ambience. I will come back again.
Great Thai food, good prices and very clean.

Service was very efficient and friendly. Food was fresh and delicious. Close to home so I shall return!

The food here is amazing! I ordered several things and everything was just incredible. Special recognition to the mango salad and coconut soup.
Unfortunately, I ordered food at 7:02p (not knowing kitchen closed at 7:30p😢)I’m new to the area. I read the reviews thinking it’s safe..not realizing these views must be from people from the East Coast. Where do I start..okay I’ll start with my $54 order.
Fresh Shrimp Rolls - cold item put in bag with hot food- all wraps were stuck together and could not be taken apart without breaking
Pineapple Fried Rice w Beef - Dry Dry Dry
Shrimp Wraps - Very good
Brown Curry - very sweet, couldn’t eat it..down the garbage disposal it went
I asked for heat…none
Eating food in Thailand..the only authentic I have experienced in USA is San Francisco. I have yet to get good Thai food on the East Coast. I’m retired military and have been all over the world. My opinion is authentic and I’m not going to lie. But remember…this is my opinion ‼️
Very tasty thai food! The crab wontons were excellent, stuffed with krab and perfectly crispy. The green and yellow curries were absolutely incredible and the sweet and sour was also really good. I'd absolutely recommend if you want an upscale thai experience.
The staff was great! They were attentive and helpful. They answered our questions and assisted with extras and questions after ordering food.
The food was great! The food was very delicious. The heat on their hot level was not overwhelming that you couldn't taste anything. They offer five levels ... No heat, mild, moderate, hot, Thai hot.
The place is clean and has a great atmosphere and decorations. The spacing between tables and chairs is more than enough for comfortable movement between tables for anyone.
Great food and excellent service. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Ordered Tofu Panang curry with coconut rice and loved it!
Hands down, BEST Thai food in Lancaster country PA!
This place is not worth the table they seat you at! It’s mediocre at best! They give very little sauce and the waiter service was a joke! I got mango sticky rice and asked for extra sweet sauce cause it came with hardly any! And he handed me straight coconut milk and insisted it was the sauce. Eastern palace is way better all around!!!!!
Ordered fried rice/beef and the food was very dry. Did not eat any or took any home when waitress asked if my wife need a box. My wife told the Waitress that the food is very dry. Never offered a discount or credit for her food.
We were a party of four and the other three was ok. Regret to say that we will not be going there.
Will have a conversation with other friends.
Great food, service and atmosphere
Waiter was horrible! We have eaten there many times. Food and service have always been great but this time service was awful!
FLAVOR! I've been to this place several times & cannot fully express the amazing flavor of the food. It's a favorite spot & worth a drive.
I suggest trying multiple dishes & sharing with your dining companion. Mango salad, hot & sour soup, multiple curries.
Service is always good.
Atmosphere is relaxed, but you could dress up & not feel out of place.
A delightful find in Lancaster PA! My wife and I found this gem of a restaurant while visiting her parents over the weekend. The food was absolutely delicious - flavorful, subtle, and perfectly seasoned. We highly recommend this restaurant.
I have never had a bad meal there.
👍!
Ordered chicken green and red curries, chicken pad Thai, pad see ew, and chicken drunken noodles. Food was delicious but their portions are on the smaller side.
I’ve only ever gotten takeout from here, buts it’s one of the ONLY restaurants worth going to in Lancaster. We have eaten here about a dozen times, and consistently it is great. Ingredients are fresh, orders are prepared correctly, and food is seasoned perfectly. Food is not greasy, over-salted, or covered in sugar. Will recommend every day.
Our first visit. An extremely popular place. The tables turned over as quickly as they became available. My wife and I split the mango salad, which was absolutely delicious. Crisp shreds of mango and a light, well balanced dressing. I had the drunken noodles with shrimp and my wife had red curry with beef. The only negative was I forgot to bring the bottle of wine.
One of my all-time favorite restaurants.
We have been to Sukhothai too many times to count over the last 11 years. You won’t be disappointed! If you really want to treat yourself, order the red curry soup. You won’t find it on the menu, but it’s delicious and more than enough to share with a friend.
We have been coming here for many years. The food has always been fantastic. The service is amazing and the food always comes out fresh and hot. This year my mother was going through Chemo treatments and Sukhothai was one of the few places she had an appetite for. She went several times a week. I thank them for their great service and food helping my mother through her chemo treatments. Nutrition is so important during chemo and as I have learned, finding something you can eat is not always easy.
perfect place for authentic Thai food!! Great service as well.
Everything was on point! Fresh rolls with shrimp, coconut soup and Mango salad were fresh filling and not bloating.
Best thai spot not to miss when you are in the area. Spice levels are customizable and you can make it vegan too which is a boon for all the vegan lovers out there.
My favorite Thai place in the county and in my top 5 restaurants in the county. Love their curries. Their vegetables are always crisp and fresh. And it's one of the only places I ever get dessert at. Actually the only place I always get dessert at. Their fried ice cream ball.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Lancaster. Highly recommend their fresh rolls and various curries. The ambience and service is lovely. Great spot for lunch or dinner.
The food is amazing. Nina are server was awesome. The place was absolutely incredible.
Easy place to grab Thai food in Lancaster city. Ample off street parking on either side of the restaurant (located in a strip mall type setting, but better). Sukhothai offers up your standard Thai fare. Drunken noodles, pad Thai, etc. I enjoy their curries — that’s typically what I get when I come here after having 10+ meals. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I would say also try Oka Asian Fusion which is like two blocks away, or Sala Thai which is downtown. But Suhko doesn’t disappoint in a pinch.
Excellent food and service!
This place is fantastic!
The food is great and for a great price. I usually go around noon for lunch and they have specials that you cannot miss.
Great food, good service. Love the papaya salad and the coconut rice.
I have been here three times and it’s my new favorite place for comfort food! I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and the sweet and sour soup, so delicious and flavorful!!!
The food is absolutely amazing! However, it’s quite expensive. The take out service is terrible. The man that took my order had a difficult time understanding me. I got there in 20 minutes to pick it up. The order was never made or given to someone else. Another person came in and had to ring the bell 3 times before someone came to help him. The manager was arrogant when I complained. He snidely said “These things happen” It was my first time there and last because of terrible customer service. Dining in might be a different experience.
Went for a business lunch. Food was excellent. Portions were sides so that you had enough but we're not overly full. Excellent prices.
Great food
This is absolutely one of the best places to eat. Food is always exceptional and prices are reasonable. Staff very attentive
Outstandingly good food. Everything is so delicious and flavorful. Fresh ingredients and really nice portions. Wonderful service, all the staff were delightful. Cozy relaxed atmosphere. They can adjust and modify to your liking.
Very good place to eat easy to find and park !! Keep up your good work:
Awesome food and service. Love this place
Loved it....great setting, wonderful service & very delicious food which came out pretty quick after we ordered. 👌🏾
Very disappointed with our first experience dinning with this restaurant. The shrimp Pad Thai was cold and had to send back to the kitchen to reheat. Despite the menu stated that they will charge for gratuity 20% party of 5 or more and 25% gratuity with party 20 plus. But the 15% gratuity was already added to our bill and of course we didn’t know about that. Of course it didn’t stated gratuity on the bill , and it only stated 15%. We already paid the waitress cash for the gratuity. Please be careful before paying your bill.
Started eating at this restaurant when they began in Mountville. I arrived this past Friday at 7:12. The sign on the door says they close at 8:00. It took almost 10 minutes for the host to resolve “to-go” order with man waiting in front of me. It wasn’t even 7:30 when I asked for a table of two. I then received a whole speech how they close at 8:00. He guessed he could seat us if we already knew what we want. I don’t need to be treated like a child when I’m a customer that arrives 45 minutes before your posted closing time. Unbelievable. I used to absolutely love this place.
Great meal and exceptional value
Excellent Thai food in a beautiful dining experience. One of my go to places in Lancaster!
First visit and everything was great. All four of us were really happy. Fresh rolls, sweet and sour soup, two pad thai's, a fried rice and a stir fry. Will be back!
It's absolutely delicious every time! I love the coconut rice with green curry shrimp!
The food was excellent. Service couldn't have been any better. We so enjoyed sharing our 10th wedding anniversary together there and will be going back very soon.
Excellent food and staff.
I loved it here and it was such a nice place to visit for thai food!! I love their food here and their staff is also very kind and your food is served very quickly and they have a lot of different options for you to choose!! Definitely one of the higher class thai places in Lancaster!! I recommend checking this place out sometime if you are in the area!!!
This is one of the best Thai experiences in Lancaster! Food & service exceeded our expectations!
This place has lost it's slowly lost its craft when it comes to taste over the years. This year I ordered $60 worth food and it was so bland I didn't even finish it. I didn't want to rule this place out over one experience so I gave them another chance and ordered the same dishes a couple months later, and it was the unfortunately the same turnout. Prices increased, flavors decreased, and my money not well spent. I will not be eating here again.
I went there for the first time and the food was really good and the service. If we are in the area again, we will come back.
Pad Thai always has great flavor but is also always dry. Recommend ordering with extra sauce.
The squid salad is great here.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we loved it! The atmosphere was perfect. Our food was delicious, I got the sweet & sour chicken and my bf got the drunken shrimp noodle. We will absolutely be coming back again 😊
My wife and I were very impressed it was all very clean and the service was excellent right to par and the food completely fresh diced up perfectly it was so beautiful and so delicious haven't had it better than that before I say to you people go there and you will be very happy
Quick service, good food!
We had been looking for twice fried duck sweet basil, This was the closest we found in the area. The duck was moist and tender, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection.
Takeout was very quick. packaging was very nice. They separated the peanuts from the dipping sauce so it wouldnt get soggy and you could add it on your own. They also cut holes in the box for my crab rangoon so they wouldnt get soggy. Nice touch!
This is the best Thai food I've had in Lancaster. I've never had a bad mean and the mango sticky rice dessert is amazing. You must try this place.
One of the finest restaurants!
I enjoyed a lunch here.. Food was amazing. Ambience is good. Friendly staff. Well this is one of those restaurants where they live up to the reviews that you are seeing. I highly recommend to try & experience yourself. Their lunch special is a good deal.
Closed on Monday is a PAIN. Otherwise really like the place.
Really good food! We had the drunken noodles with crab wonton and the brown curry with crispy rolls. I'd recommend all of it.
Great food! I enjoy the Red Curry. My favorite is the Thai Hot and Sour soup. Delicious. Lots of vegetables. I finished with Mango tea. Mmmmm. The atmosphere is very relaxing. If you want to nourish body and soul this is the place to go!!!
Food was some of the best I've had. Or waitress Nina was the best. I'd totally recommend going, the food and the service were top notch.
Probably the best Thai food I've had since moving into central PA.
Nice Thai restaurant. Currently the only one in Lancaster co with authentic Thai cooking.
Everything was fantastic!!
This place has such lovely ambiance and charm which is matched by its wonderfully delicious food and service! Both take-out and dining in experiences have been great! The pad Thai’s and stir fry’s are freshly made and delicious. Dining in is also kid friendly and very welcoming. Love this neighborhood gem!
This place has become a regular for me and a place I take out of town guests! The food is so delicious and fresh and the service is always great
Always great and fresh, the coconut soup and hot and sour soup are the best Ive ever tasted. Green Curry and Pad Thai too. I always get them Thai Hot, perfect if you like spicy. Hot but flavorful
Get the drunken noodle.
The drunken noodle is delicious. I actually stopped eating just to say this right now.
We visited Sukothai for my son's 18th birthday (we are from Canada) they accommodated our large party by setting up a long table in the middle of the restaurant and were able to easily add more people to out table at the last minute.
I had the pad Thai, while others in our group ordered different items. The food was beautifully plated, delicious, and came in a timely manner.
This restaurant is BYOB.
The decor was very tasteful and the bathroom was clean.
Two thumbs up!
Cheers!
Courtney
I am henceforth devoting my life to the worship of the tofu pineapple fried rice served here. There is truly nothing more flavorful, artistic, or divine. (I’ll be back to try the curry soon!)
The waitstaff is responsible, the vibe tasteful, and the prices more than reasonable for the quality of food.
They do get busy though, so calling ahead may be to your benefit. But even if you have an hour wait, take it, nothing deserves the visit more!
Had lunch here today with coworkers. Nice atmosphere, prompt service and Sarah our server was great. ☺️ (My apologies if I misspelled your name Sarah) I had the Coconut soup which was delicious and full of beautiful fresh vegetables. I also had the Vegetable stir fry and added Shrimp to it. The vegetables and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The shrimp they used were a nice size and plump. 😋 It was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to come back and try something else on the menu!
Our favorite Thai place...must try the coconut soup and rice! I call in an order everytime I'm in Lancaster! Lovely staff. Don't forget the calamari...
The food tastes amazing! When I go to a restaurant, I usually order a bunch of different things as I am very picky with my food. Usually I'll only like about half of it. There wasn't one thing that I tried that I didn't love!
I have to say this was the best Thai food I’ve ever had!! Quick service and beautiful dining area! Vegan options too.
Service was good. Food a bit bland
First timer and found a new favorite for fresh Thai cooking!
Nice place for a gather w friends
Amazing Thai food!
Delicious vegan options
Delicious food and friendly staff. Brown Curry and spring rolls are the best around.
Thai tea and food were great just a little pricey.
We visited on a Wednesday around 3 pm and had the place totally to ourselves. We ordered apptizers, curry, noodles, rice, and soup. Everything was delicious and seemed good quality. The coconut rice is the very best I have ever had! The service was fast and friendly. I would go back.
Three starts because our waitress was really nice❤️ But the food was definitely not great. Being tourists who love Thai food and we’re excited to try some for our date. We left full plates of food. We had the pork crispy rolls along with pad Thai…… this is not where it’s at!
The food was DELICIOUS, our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, and the place itself is very clean and cute. Definitely a new favorite place around Lancaster for me!
Very small portion of food. Had little flavor. Won't be returning.
Very good, authentic Thai food. Plenty of vegetarian options. Fast and efficient service. Average prices. Very happy to go again.
The best best best food! The price is amazing and the service is amazing and there's lots of vegan and gluten-free options and it's just so good!
Good service, no matter how busy they are. A little on the pricy side, but always worth it. Never had a mistake on my order in 5 years.
I really enjoyed the Ginger dish. It had more flavor than similar dishes I ordered at other Thai restaurants.
The pad see ew tastes very different from every other pad see ew I have ever had. The food was okay. Vegetable stir fry and pad see ew.
Professional waitstaff. Calming relaxing atmosphere. The food was exceptional. Make reservations as it can get crowded. Highly recommend.
