We offer an array of inimitable dishes perfected through the years. Whether you're on-the-go, at home, or just want to eat out, Sa La Thai Restaurant and Noodle House is the perfect place for you. We are a BYOB restaurant. We also offer catering - call us for details.
Always fantastic food — authentic ingredients made to order. Beautiful presentation of ample portions. So flavorful and filling — I always feel good after eating here! The servers are very polite and accommodating. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, but rather dim with forgettable decor. Excellent value for the price!
The drunken noodles are pretty good! My husband and I ordered them 2.5 spicy on a scale of 1-4. Which I think was perfect balance of heat and flavor. For the Drunken Noodles we ordered the pork as our protein choice and I’m glad we did because it paired well with the noodles. We also split the red curry (with chicken as our protein choice) and I was less than impressed. It was decent but not something I would need to order again (and I love red curry). The tasty just felt watered down almost - like there wasn’t enough flavor. Overall not a bad experience but we weren’t blown away. Also, pricing did seem a bit steep…
The food is very good and flavorful. I got one of the curry dishes - it was very good! Definitely recommend it.
I got the"spicy" option (2 out of 4 spice level), and this was spicy and still enjoyable. I think if I got level 3 or 4, it wouldn't be enjoyable anymore. So be careful with the spice level! - it might be spicier than you think!!
The only complaints I have is that some of the portions are a little on the small side, and the service is just okay. The waiter was fine and kind of quiet, and she was the only one attending the entire restaurant, I think!
I would go back though. It's very good overall, with some small complaints!
Great service , friendly , attentive staff at the friend desk. Service was fast though the place had some crowd. Food tasted awesome. Since the parking would be street side , expect some delay on parking. I luckily got the parking space nearby the place , so haven’t tried any paid garage parking. Portions of the food is enough for a person , quality of the food was good, price is upper band.
I hate to write reviews like this - but I can't find anything good to say. We went for first time on Monday 4-22-24 arrived around 5 pm to a very empty restaurant. There was a lot of 'stuff' in the areas they weren't using - giving the place a run down feel. The (child) who seated us was friendly, but our waitress wasn't and wasn't helpful when asked a question. And not well trained - if you laid down your silverware, she wanted to clear the table. Took friends dishes before either of us finished. The prices seemed high as compared to other similar places in the area. Wonton soup in a small soup bowl ($8.85), mediocre wonton and blah broth; but it did have fresh carrot & broccoli pieces. Friend had Crab Randoon App, she said it was OK. I had 'Crispy Bags'. They were plump with filling, very crispy, and did have flavor. I'm sorry I don't have compliments for them. 1 star because there were some good things about some dishes.
The food is delicious, and everyone here is so friendly. I don’t live nearby, but I come so often because the food is amazing! I’ve never been disappointed here.
Update on 5-18-2024: I am so sad to hear about Sa La Thai closing at the end of the month for a while, but I’m so grateful for the warm hospitality, delicious food, and wonderful memories that I made coming here so often with my best friend over the last few years. I’m sad to see you leave, but so grateful you were here! Thank you!
The restaurant was excellent. They have a 3 course lunch special Monday thru Saturday and it is a great deal. The lemon grass soup and wonton soup were flavorful. The crispy wonton and spring rolls crunchy. The drnken noodles and fried rice were well prepared. The servers were excellent... attentive, polite, and helpful. Great experience!

Had a very pleasant holiday dinner there with family. Food was good and plentiful and staff was very friendly.
Food was tasty and the staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make us happy:)
Great good and better service! Enjoyed the green curry fried rice
Semi-pricey, but exquisite.

Such an excellent meal with wonderful service
This is easily the best thai place in this area!! They always use fresh ingredients and everything i’ve had tastes amazing (i’ve been going there over 5 years). Also customer service is super great!! Definitely worth the price, highly recommend.
As usual, superb service and delicious food. My favorite Lancaster restaurant!
Great place to eat.
Great Thai restaurant in Lancaster city. I enjoy how quiet it is in the restaurant. It's very peaceful and the food is great!
COLLEGE KID APPROVED.
As soon as I was sat by a 10-year-old, I knew this place was about to be fire. Bubble tea was a little pretentious looking but it made me giggle. Pad Thai was actually mouth watering. delectable. Seriously some of the best I’ve had in Lancaster. Eat Here.
There deunken noodles seafood was the best i ever had, and I've been to alot of the thai restaurants in York county , so this says alot . They will work with what spice level you want i stayed with 1 , and it was a,little spicey, but just enough .
Lots of fresh veggies used in their dishes and flavors that were delightful. Have eaten here a few times and it never disappoints. This last time I had the Pad See Ew and my dining companion had the Massaman Curry.
Food was good service slow considering we were the only table there but they did just opened for the day weird they had a bunch of boxes storing in other side of restaurant
High quality food, fast service and very friendly. The A/C was out on the night we went and they made sure to let us know at the door in case we didn't want to deal with the heat. They had fans setup though so it wasn't bad and didn't take away from the good food.
Authentic. Very similar to Neisha Thai cuisine from Tyson's Corner in Washington DC which is top.
The food is delicious, and everyone here is so friendly. I don’t live nearby, but I come so often because the food is amazing! I’ve never been disappointed here.

The food is fresh and the presentation is beautiful. The serving size is medium to large. The servers are kind and attentive. There were a lot of people getting takeout but the atmosphere is pleasant for dining within the restaurant.
Loaded with fresh vegetables instead of heavy oils, this is the very best Thai food in Lancaster. They adjust the heat and modify ingredients to suit your taste. Very pleasant people, super clean restaurant. No corking fee.
Delicious green curry here! Very friendly as well! Definitely will return to try the red curry too!

Great service. Family run.
Amazing food.
Loved the flavors. I would recommend going for thai a3picy level 3/4). If you can handle a bit of heat I don't think extra spicy would be too much to handle.
Loved their green curry fried rice.
Delicious! I got the panang curry, lemongrass soup, and crab rangoon. They were all very tasty. Next time I'm in Lancaster, I will eat here again 100%!
A favorite. Within walking distance so excellent for take out or to eat in!
Obsessed with the pad thai and pineapple fried rice!
Incredible food, amazing fast service and the best tasting Korean noodles I’ve ever had
Food was delicious (drunken noodles). Ordered here to tide us over while we got a burger, and it was at least as good as the burger, if not better! Service and ambiance were great! Would definitely recommend it.
While parking can occasionally be a challenge, the food is worth any obstacle. Service was fast and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food. My stir fry was beautiful and delicious. It's definitely a spot you'll want to return to.
Great food and very friendly staff!
Went on a date and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. The pineapple fried rice was the best. So good. I'll be back!!! Very nice staff
Love this place and perfect for a quiet date night. BYOB - and their drunken noodles is one of my favorite dishes in the city. So comforting and I can’t stop eating
I have gotten takeout from here a few times and I am never disappointed! Food is always ready quickly and tastes phenomenal. It was still piping hot by the time I got home. Becoming one of my favorite spots!
Always a pleasure and great dining experience. Staff os so nice and accommodating ive been taking my children there for years. great date night spot or just to drop in for food
to go . highly recommend one of Lancaster s secret gems.
Super good food and awesome people
Great food and service. Family atmosphere.
Best authentic Thai food in lancaster
Really not a good Thai food experience.
Dumplings appeared old, and expensive for the amount, crispy wonton was tiny, compared to price.
We were interested in the Pho soup, which we love, as a family. And the bowl when it came was half full, and lacked the variety of vegetables we were accustomed to in other places in the area. Overall really subpar for the price.
This is some of the best Thai food you're going to find in the area. Compared to the Thai food (street and otherwise) that I've had from being in Thailand multiple times, this is the closest thing I've experienced in the States to the real deal. The owners are also exceptionally pleasant and accommodating - also reminiscent of the Thai people you have the pleasure of meeting abroad.
Absolutely exceptional Thai food at reasonable prices. There is a lot of good food in Lancaster, but this is probably my favorite at the moment. They have an extensive menu, and everything I've tried has exceeded expectations (although it's a *tiny* bit better in person than for take out/delivery). They are also quite good with dietary restrictions, particularly celiac for me (gluten free), and that has made eating here a real treat.
So we arrived at 2.35 and they said that we could only do a take out because they wanted to close at 3.00. We told them we would leave before 3.00 but they wanted to leave early/sooner so they could come back for serving dinner. Very poor customer care. Pls place a board outside and on your website saying people who arrive after 2.15 can not dine in because you need to close at 3.00
I dined with my daughter this evening and we had a great time! I ordered a dish with number four spice and it was absolutely delicious! Discover this hidden jem in Lancaster.
Amazing food with great pricing and portions.
Food was good, however, very overpriced and portions on appetizers were almost pathetic for the price. Very stingy on the sauces with the appetizers ( plum/Soy)
Duck entrees listed as “ Half Duck” but it’s not, it’s a leg and thigh, when I inquired after receiving same, I was told that a leg and thigh was a half duck?
Again good food but obviously very petty when it comes to price Vs value.
One of the best & most authentic Thai (fusion) restaurants in the area. The food is incredible and the service is quick & very respectful and friendly. They make you feel special. I love their Thai Beef Salad...so good!!
Went here today for lunch for a coworker's retirement. Food was Excellent. Most of my coworkers had never been here before but we will definitely come again. Its a little out of the way from the square but they have carry out options. Our server was very polite and explained the lunch menu clearly. I had the glass noodle soup, fried tofu triangles, and basil fried rice with chicken. Everything was so good. The fried rice was actually fried!! Very good. Highly recommend if you are looking for a decent meal in the city.
Great family run Thai spot!

Really good food 😍
Worst experience. The vegetables in my food were stale. I cannot believe this place is up and running and not already shut down by the officials. Why would you feed your customers stale food? Disgusting.
Excellent food , family always love to go here
Fantastic food!
4 years later.......
I've been all over the country and tried many different Thai restaurants and none have matched this restaurant! Truly great quality food cooked to perfection served in a great atmosphere. I also used to deliver their food through carryout courier for them and I really miss talking to the wonderful woman that was always there working!
Everything has amazing flavor. It's just so delicious! It's a BYOB restaurant, and they are very accommodating. I've never had a bad dish here.
Worst green curry I have ever had. Flavor was nill, chicken was tough, "thai hot" was incredibly weak, and worst of all, there was a TON of fibery stuff in it (like bamboo fiber, felt like hair in my mouth). I couldn't even finish it and I'm not a picky eater.
I'm kind of sad to write this review because the lady there was incredibly nice, but the food was just unacceptable.
Stopped in for lunch. All the Thai food you would expect and it came out incredibly fast!
Amazing Thai food. Service was great as well.
Excellent little restaurant, lunch special of appetizer soup and entree is a great deal and nice way to sample a few different things for any newbies, or hit all your favorites. Food will not disappoint

Great service! Amazing food!
Friendliest staff. Great food. Verie relaxing. It'd be a nice date night.
Very small portions compared to the high price. The thai basil stir fry was insanely sweet, as if they seasoned it with a cup of sugar, which was very off puting. Not tasty enough to be worth the price.
Good n best food served in a neat environment.
Good food, crisp veggies. They seem to stay on the least spicy side of all the Thai places in the county. I like spice and some heat in my Thai food. Pricing is similar to Sukhothai which is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area.
Excellent!!!
Yesterday we attended your prestigious restaurant, we loved your culinary art, authentic Thai food, the best we have enjoyed in Asian food ... thank you, thank you very much we enjoyed a good time ... a lady who attended us very nice and explained to us with great patience the types of thai food...thank you always.
Very professional chef.
Overcharged for food
Delicious food and great service as always!
Delicious food and friendly service. I appreciate the ubundant gluten free options!
We’ve been coming for years, and it continues to be my favorite Thai place. Delicious food and courteous service.
I waited until I ordered a few times before writing a review. In my experience with restaurants that offer dishes with varying levels of spice, Thai restaurants in particular, the spice can be inconsistent. I have ordered my favorite meal, Pad See Ew, a few times with spice level 1 and each time it has been excellent and consistent. Just enough spice to add flavor but still be enjoyable. I have had shrimp added each time, which is fresh and cooked very well. The broccoli is tender crisp. What is most impressive is that I've ordered for delivery (20 min away) and each time it arrived piping hot and the veggies still crisp, not soggy. I've also tried the spring rolls, which were very good. The dipping sauce added very little for me in flavor. The crab Rangoon is delicious and crisp. The plum sauce on them is a nice added bonus that I had never had before. I highly recommend.
We just ordered from here and the food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be coming back here!
Hands down the best Thai food I've ever had anywhere, and also the best restaurant in Lancaster. I love Sa La Thai. All of their food is delicious, the service is always wonderdul. I've never had a bad meal or dish here. A must for tourists and locals alike.
The red curry with shrimp was good, but the Thai tea with boba was certainly not the best I've ever had.
Very good food with just the right amount of heat. Staff was friendly. Great dining experience.
It's beautiful and calm
Order two dishes via Door Dash - Steak salad 13 bucks and Thai Basil Stirfry with Seafood (3 shrimps and 2 pieces of squid with a lil bit of vegetables for 23.95 bucks. 1st time order will also be my last. The portion was extremely small and it was way overpriced, feeling like I got scam out of food. I do not recommend this place at all. Sukhothai is way better. Avoid at all cost.
The take out portions are horrible for the price. They also charged me extra for brown rice with my entree. The entree comes with rice then the upgrade for brown rice is like $0.50 or $1 extra but instead she charged me a whole separate fee for brown rice and didn’t even give me the regular rice. Just a rip off. This meal should cost like $8 but i paid $20. Don’t do take out.
Been here several times. Wonderful people and food. Make sure you save room for dessert!
Highly recommend, I’ve been here a couple times and it’s always good. Service is good and the food is extraordinary. They offer a limited lunch menu, which is reasonably priced. Their dinner menu has many options, all really good!
Very tasty and attractive food, great variety, love those tulip dumplings!
Charged 15 for a tiny portion of food. Looks and tastes like fast food also.
Food good as always
My partner and I have eaten a lot of Thai food, and we have frequented many different Thai restaurants in places that have high Asian population density.
We ordered the Massamun curry and Yellow curry at this place, and unfortunately both did not satisfy. Most of the vegetables were undercooked: my fork couldn’t go through the potatoes, the carrots were half raw, and the baby corn was 70% raw. The curry had more sugar than curry paste, and tasted like fruit juice. The portion we received was not proportional to the price we paid, and certainly not worth the quality.
When I mentioned to the waiter that my vegetables were undercooked, she brought my bowl away and eventually brought it back with slightly less curry than I had before. It became apparent that they had probably just microwaved the bowl, because the potatoes on the edge of the bowl were slightly more crumbly, whereas the potatoes in the middle of the curry were still uncooked.
It was also clear that none of the veggies were cooked in the curry, because none of them had absorbed the flavor of the curry.
The only saving grace was the Thai iced tea, which I found to be of an appropriate sweetness; I don’t like my Thai iced tea obnoxiously sweet. But we received small glasses that were about half the size of what I have received at other restaurants for the same price, and the glass was filled with a lot of ice.
Great value for your $$$.
Great food and service
Boring and bland Thai food. Way over priced for the quality.
My go to place for Thai in Lancaster. Staff are super friendly, food is always great, and they are pretty quick for a small place. Can’t go wrong.
Staff is very polite and food was amazing
Tis good! Trust me.
I have no reasons why you should trust me, but just do.
Delicious Drunken noodles. I attended a private party there. The service was excellent. Very accommodating to Gluten free.
always delicious & always friendly n kind
Fantastic food and great service. We had that tea, steamed dumplings, pad Thai, and masaman curry. All of it was great.
If you’re going in person, it’s great. Good food, good portions and worth the price.
If you’re ordering delivery - SKIP IT. The portions are NOT worth the prices. The portions have gotten smaller so you’re paying almost $20 per entree for a container that comes half full (that’s how it looked when it came - like someone had eaten half the order lol).
We ordered $100 worth of food and what came does not reflect that. I’m not sure what changed, but it’s disappointing.
Great food, done very well, well priced and very fresh.
For years I’ve heard great things about Sa La Thai but never tried it until recently. The place was practically empty during late lunch on a Saturday, and a lot of sections closed off for covid. But the food and service were incredible!!! My husband and I both agreed it was the best soup, dumplings, drunken noodles, and pad Thai either of us have ever had. We will absolutely be making this restaurant a regular visit from now on.
This is hands-down my favorite Thai restaurant. Any time I have friends or family come visit me in Lancaster, I take them here. My boyfriend and I also come back often for lunch dates. The staff is so friendly and attentive, the lunch special prices are amazing, and the food is always delicious. I truly can’t recommend it enough.
Took the husband for Father's day lunch. We started off with the Treasure Plare. An excellent sampler plate for the 3 of us. The flavors were full and everything could stand on its own. The additional sauces enhanced the already great flavors.
For the main course, hubby had the Thai Ginger w Chicken, daughter had the Pad Se Ew, and I had the drunken noodle. All served piping hot and delectable. From the appetizers to the meal, presentation was beautiful. Even as we ate through our meal the plate still looked good. How is this even possible? We highly recommend!
Fresh, delicious ABSOLUTELY AMAZING food. Attentive service staff. If you like Thai food, you will love this restaurant.
I order from this restaurant all the time. The food is amazing!! Best Thai restaurant in Lancaster!! The food is absolutely amazing and I find myself craving it often. I love the lemongrass soup and all the curries!
Found this by accident. Good food. Excellent service. Summer Rolls, Green Papaya Salad, Dumplings and Pad Thai Drunken Noodle. Don't forget Coconut Pudding for desert.
I have been here multiple times. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is the star here with everything coming out fresh and fast. I continue to try new things and I have yet to find something that was not excellent. Last time in I had the green curry shrimp and summer rolls. My wife had the fried rice with chicken and pineapple. The portions are huge and we took half of our meal home. Pricing was fair for a single dinner, but given we got 2 meals from each entre I would slide the price scale to excellent. The only downside to this spot is parking is not great (on the street) and because it is so good keeps me from trying other places :-) I will be back!
Very good food, good vegan/vegetarian options
Food is delicious! A lot of choice. Service is good. Personal is friendly. Vegetarians will also find a lot of interesting
Consistently awesome food! I love the variety of items they offer and am so happy any chance i get to eat here. They have gluten free options as well which is important to my family.
I had the soft shell crab lobster and noodles. It was excellent.
Awesome food at awesome prices.
Beef drunken noodles delicious, service fantastic!
This place is a hidden gem!
The pad se ew with beef is to die for!!!!!
Very authentic food!
Awesome hot and very tasty food....🎉🎉🥳
Best pad thai in the world!! Super great service and thai iced tea is also super solid. The place was pretty busy with takeout orders but the server made sure we were well taken care of. 10/10 will be coming again!
We have always enjoyed our meals at Sala Thai. The staff is polite, our water glasses are always full, and the food is excellent. It is beautifully plated, served hot, and their flavors are excellent. A great "go to" restaurant for good Thai food.
Very happy with covid precautions along with excellent food and accuracy of order upon pickup.
La comida es muy buena y el servicio es excelente.
My favorite Thai restaurant ever. Fresh ingredients with amazing flavors. The staff are extremely friendly and genuinely so.
Best thai food ever awesome lunch special
We ordered the pad Thai chicken for pickup. Order total for two people came to $30. We thought we would get AMAZING food for that expensive of a price....Haha we felt like clowns thinking that because When we opened our chicken pad Thai it was all onion, ONE piece of chicken and FIVE big noodles at the most...Worst food experience I have ever had in Lancaster. They basically robbed us of $30 and fed us fried onions....Never eating at this dump ever again.
My family and i recently took a much needed staycation in vacation in Lancaster. Upon checking out the local food scene my wife and I thought Thai. Via grub hub we ordered from Sa La Thai. My wife decided on sweet sausage fried rice "spicy" and I went with sweet n sour chicken and springbrolls. It was Delicious. Right amount of heat, fresh ingredients. We ordered 2 straight nights from you guys and was not disappointed. You guys got something special per my wife! Thank you. Hope to order again soon.
We love eating here! Everything is delicious and tastes freshly made.
Never had a bad experience here. Their takeout set during Covid is pretty good as well.
Food is so good. Best thai in lancaster!
My favorite restaurant in Lancaster by far! Never been disappointed and the staff are so sweet and nice
Great spot to grab some take out on a Friday night. Their Drunken noodle dish is great. Filling and well priced.
