Where this place underwhelms you with the look of the restaurant, they make up for it with the quality and price of the food. I went at lunch time so prices were reduced but still. For $10.95, I got a full bento box consisting of shumai dumplings, seaweed salad, miso soup, spicy tuna roll, white rice and garlic chicken. I mean you just can’t beat that. I wish the tuna roll was not puréed but overall it was really good.

I order from Ginmya about twice a month. They have excellent lunch specials, and you get a nice sized serving for the price. I would highly recommend the sesame chicken, sashimi combo, and the maki combo lunch deal. The quality is excellent for the price. They have speedy service, and I'd highly recommend them.

Nice quiet place, waitress working solo, very friendly and nice, she was also quite busy. Ordered the spicy diced vegetable with chicken, quite good, pricing very fair, will likely be back. Next time I think I will try the white rice instead of the fried rice.

Both front doors were locked and no one answered the phone, no sign on doors, why are they closed during normal business hours?

Friendly service, the sushi is always perfect! Its always perfectly fresh tasting, smooth, buttery, crunchy, and spicy. Everything you need to scratch that sushi itch. I dine solo at the sushi bar and the care and beauty they put into my sushi is truly art, especially giving me my own sushi boat!

Delicious food, great service, and a clean nice atmosphere.

No other things to say but excellent service, people are super friendly (: love the quality of the sushi and quick service. Staff is very warm and inviting, wonderful quality whether you’re eating in or taking out. The menu is a fusion between different types of cuisine so they offer a lot but not overwhelming to pick. Love this place, been coming for years and it never disappoints.

Veggies obviously frozen, general tso chicken was like eating foam balls of old grease. Rice was caked together and soft in a bad way, cheese wontons were full of cheddar?? Awful awful awful.

UPDATE: sorry to see something so essential as a “House salad” is not available. A simple bed of lettuce with delicious ginger dressing is my favorite way to start a sushi dinner experience. Not sure why this is absent from the menu and I hope they will reconsider offering this refreshing menu item!

UPADATE APRIL 2023: Still can’t bring myself to go elsewhere…although I’ve dabbled in some others in Lancaster when joining an invite, I keep coming back. At literally HALF THE PRICE of other sushi restaurants I just can’t deny I’ve found my sushi home. I love this place so much I came back to review again…and that means something!!!

Consistently great sushi. Always friendly staff. They understand customer service. Sushi is fresh and beautifully presented. Generous portions and fair prices. I use to be an Ichban fan, but I have to say this place has surpassed them for my top place for sushi in Lancaster.

They always throw in something extra on the house with my bigger orders. They have an incredible lunch special on select sushi rolls. 3 rolls for $10! And they have that same special on Saturday as well which you don't usually get at restaurants.
Don't pass this place by. It's a slightly hidden gem.

Monday may 13 had my usual mixed vegs waitress was preoccupied short wanted garlic sauce not spicy no what I got was to be brown sauce came almost clear looked like oil no flavor was told that was the brown sauce of the day could not eat it all there was evening dine in

One of the best Sushi places we’ve been to in Lancaster county with super good prices compared to other sushi places. For the quality and price you will not find anything better in Lancaster county! Have been doing dine in and take out for almost 10 years and never had a bad experience. The owner is really sweet and friendly. Would highly recommended supporting their small business!

Ordered takeout at 5:05 they said 20 minutes. I got there at 5:29 and it wasn’t ready yet. I paid and they took a ladies order right after I paid. 15 minutes later her food came out and I was still waiting.
I’d rather it be hot and fresh than sitting there waiting for me.. however 45 minutes for two easy dinners is outrageous. At least let me know it’s going to be that long so I’m not standing around the restaurant.
Half of the restaurant is cluttered with storage like items.. I’d take out again but wouldn’t dine in

Picked up early dinner. Large house special fried rice. They give you a lot of brown rice and that is it. Dry, few baby strips of chicken and three tiny shrimp. Hardly any veggies. How much do peas and a little carrots cost. A lot of places put a little egg in too. Nope. Very disappointed. Left a 30 percent tip too.They used to be good there .

Average Japanese/Asian food. It wasn't bad but I wasn't blown away. I will say that the tempura was not greasy.

Everything I've gotten here has been fine. Usually only eat here if headed to the movies. Never had any problems. Fairly priced for what you get. The second most Chinese restaurant I eat order from in the county. First is Hong Kong Garden, who have been around a long time.

It was fine - not great, not bad. I will say that the bento box had a lot more food than I expected.

Love this place! We are vegetarian and they have an amazing Vegetarian Bento box that has been great for us. They are accommodating to our children as well! Very good service

Great place. Food was flavorful and tasty. Good portion size and quick friendly service.

Food is great and fresh! Employees are always sweet. My go to is the mu shu vegetable, spicy tuna roll, and hot and sour soup! I live only a few minutes away and order from them at least once a week. I also love that they have great vegetarian and special diet menu options for those of us counting calori lovees.
Update: super fresh sushi! I love how warm and fresh the rice is. Spicy tuna roll had little crunchy pieces, love the texture! Tawain mai fun is a fantastic noodle dish.

I usually get vegetable beef with garlic sauce Xtra spicy to me it could be more spicy but overall it's the best vegetable beef garlic I have ever gotten from other places and I been to alot I always get here from now on the people are awesome I also get hot sour soup and shrimp fried rice which is also better then some places I had it's my go to place i highly recommend it to everyone not a fan of sushi but I like the California rolls here to if you haven't tried their food you should I give it 5 stars!

Called to just double check an Uber eats order. Lady was extremely rude and all I wanted to do was confirm what I ordered. I was polite and courteous and basically was yelled at. Sorry you had to work today?

This is our go-to place in Lancaster for sushi. The General Tsao's chicken is also one of the best around.

We I've never eaten inside the establishment. However, we do get regular takeouts and the food is usually always good.

The sushi I ordered for a total of 3 people was put in one container. one person is vegan due to Allergies. The restaurant argued the sushi was not touching so the person would be fine. Obviously they are ignorant to how allergies work and I refuse to take risks with my sons life. In the photo you can see that isn't the case. Thanks for ruining our New Years Eve dinner my son had nothing to eat. Fast forward to April we tried these guys again and they simply refuse to edit their dishes to your tastes. I won’t be burned a 3rd time for sure. I will never order from these guys again, they obviously don’t put the guest first.

It was OK. I know food cost has been extremely high so restaurants have to make the decisions on what product they keep on hand versus what they are willing to run out. I also know my timing wasn't the best to order sushi, one hour before close, but out of the multiple selection of nigiri available on menu versus what I selected, Uni was no longer carried which was disappointing but was on the menu, and three other items (Saba, Ikura, and Botan Ebi were not available being sold out). I felt bad for the waitress that this was not communicated to her so she had to make multiple trips to my table to let me know all of this. If I could go to another sushi restaurant at that time, I would have, but this was only a craving and left a little dissatisfied. The nigiri were an odd shape and felt small but that's just personal preference/ knitpicking.

This place has the best sashimi. I can't explain the proportions are amazing and it's always fresh. I appricate all the hard work and just everything they do. I always prefer them over any place!! Plus u get a miso soup and it's just so awesomeee!!! Honestly I don't make reviews so that's saying something!!

Placed an order. Got a notification 25 minutes later saying it was ready for pickup. I go in, find out they never even entered the order. It's been over an hour now with no end in sight. Don't order here. They already took my money but I've gotten nothing but an empty stomach for my trouble.

Dined today with my daughter. She greatly enjoyed the chicken teriyaki and I, the salmon teriyaki. Both were freshly grilled as evident by the markings and delicious smokey taste. The teriyaki sauce was fantastic! We will be back again and again and again. What a gem in Millersville!

Ginmiya is simply the freshest and tastiest sushi and Chinese cuisine in Lancaster. The Sushi rice is so sweet it sets them apart from all the rest. It is delicious. Having live in LA for a summer, I tried some great sushi, but I will always prefer and recommend Ginmiya over the rest. Portions of fish are generous, service is prompt and pricing is fair. Simply the best, hands-down. I would bet $ that with a blind taste test Ginmiya would win.

If your doing grubhub, make sure you repeat your self over and over.. showed the worker my phone , for two orders for two different customers. They only gave me two bags for one customer. Saying it was for both of the customers, now covid is still going around I do not open up closed bags that have food in it.

I used to love going here for sushi. Not getting any rolls with Spicy Tuna listed anymore as they arent using tuna pieces but pureed tuna instead. The texture is horrible and i had to scrape it off to be edible. The rest of our food was fine and tasty but no more sushi here since we dont know if it is actual sushi grade fish vs pureed meat before we get it home. Mothers day sushi is a bitter disappointment today

So far, this is the only Asian restaurant to give 2 bags of fried wontons with large soups in the area.

I ordered seafood hot and sour soup, and seafood hot and sour soup and received 4 bags of noods. I'm waiting for the day they ask you for how much you want. The restaurant wasn't busy so there was plenty of time for the hostess to talk with me.

Just got delivery and the food is not very good at all! Lo mein noodles are thick and clumped together like they are days old. Spicy cashew chicken has no spicy flavor whatsoever, dumplings are rubbery and cold. Terrible, I can’t eat this. Yesterdays leftover food served today? Just terrible.

I love getting food from here. I usually doordash it, and I get chicken teriyaki and cucumber roll. Today I decided I’d try getting a salmon nigiri and it was very good! Definitely recommend them, especially because they offer Thai, Chinese, and Japanese menu items.

I have liked this place for a while. It used to be my go to but lately everything I've ordered from them has just been disappointing. Maybe it's due to grubhub, idk.
I just ordered green curry and it's missing the eggplant. No big deal, okay I'm upset, yes, but life goes on.
However, there's like no curry. It's more like, a sauce equivalent of curry if anything. There's a ton of everything else but the curry was the whole main attraction.

The flavors and vegetables are all good. Maybe next time I'll get some of that eggplant and more
curry.

We dined in and got the sashimi dinner, raw tuna roll and eel with avocado roll.

It took a little while but it was well worth the wait! The presentation was so beautiful , like a waterfall of sashimi.

Best sushi anywhere

Tried the Fresh Crab California Roll and the Tempura Sweet Potato roll and both were some of the best I've had. Ginger and Wasabi on the side was fresh, the soy sauce was top notch. Can't wait to try more

Did not like the food at all. The chicken was mushy, the sweat & sour sauce was like water and the rice was crunchy. Plus they wanted $10 to delivery across the parking lot!

Very bland Chinese menu. Sushi rolls are thrown together (takeout), this place is average at best. Gave one star to offset the high rating. Many places around are better.

Very good food

I picked up food my first visit and it was very good. I ordered a second day and received a call from a third party. He told me that the menu price was wrong and the restaurant wanted to charge me an additional fee. I cancelled my order as I feel they should honor the price they have set on their menu.

Local fav for SUSHI, never ate inside, always get to go... chicken wings haven't been consistently freshly fried it seemed... appreciate the bonus egg rolls for larger orders.

Ordered and visited for years now. Every now and then I order a ton of sushi and they give you one free when you order about $40-$50 or more which is awesome ♡ Food is always yummy and cleanly and staff is cool and sweet.
