My friends and I decided to go out to lunch to this place, we saw good reviews so we proceeded to go. The food was okay, the service however was unprofessional. The waitress came over and took two of my friends check (not mine) she came back and started saying how there was no tip without even taking mine. She kept persisting on giving a tip and started saying we were not nice and she needs money. She did all of this without looking at my check and I left a tip for all of us. Around 30 dollars! That’s a good tip for her and the chef. We will not be going back.

The food is very good! Best scallops I have ever eaten!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Website and when you call the restaurant, they say they do NOT take reservations. So we were a walk in. Right off the bat, my family was not treated correctly. We waited 1 hr and a half to get our party sat . We had to wait til the other reservations showed up. See the problem? Advertisement and the employee said they don’t take reservations. Host guy was SUPER RUDE! Then we were rushed after waiting for so long. Everyone swarmed us with to go boxes when we didn’t even eat two bites, taking plates, etc Worse experience ever!!!! Especially for a birthday

This location selects who can make a reservation. We litterally called and they stated no reservations. We show up are waiting to be seated and there ia a party that had a reservation. Service gets no star if I could give zero.

Pathetic wait time. Front staff was very rude. We were a party of 12 with prior reservation but were made to wait 45+ minutes and still could not get a table. The reason given was we were 5 mins late. Never going back again. 0 stars for the handling of situation by front desk.

The food is on point

Fried rice and steak were bland. No flavor.

They don't really cook the food long enough on the hibachis. So it just ends up as greasy hog slop. Our whole party got Ill after eating basic stuff like chicken and beef with noodles and rice.

I would recommend anywhere else for the party.

Not amazing food, made me a little sick. Very greasy, not a ton of effort was put into it. Maybe just stick to the chicken? Service was a little fast and furious, which was probably the best part.

I'm so happy to have found a new regular sushi spot to visit in Harrisburg. I dined in at about 4pm on a Thursday and had no wait of any kind. The order of drink and food came out incredibly fast and everything was delicious. The cocktails are yummy and the sushi is very fresh. I'm excited to come here again.

They offer several styles of Asian Cuisine, like delicious sushi from Japan, Chinese classics, and of course, the full interactive Chef Show at the Hibachi Grill that will give you life long memories of laughter and "Ahh" along with a full belly of outstanding food prepared directly in front of you. They also offer a full bar, which includes both cold and hot sake. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and separates the dining side from the Hibachi side. Shogun created such a fun and exciting atmosphere while being catered to by 5-Star customer service from all of their staff. I highly recommend this Golden location for all people and even those with children. The young ones love watching the professional Hibachi Chef's displaying their spectacular art of cooking along with their fun and on the spot comedy.

Fun, great food, quick with order. Affordable prices.

I’ve been here twice and both times the service was terrible. Two different servers had the worst attitude ever. Rolling their eyes when we couldn’t understand them or taking a look at the menu to make sure that’s what we actually want. No patience at all. I mostly would not come back due to making my family uncomfortable the first time and the second time making my mother feel uncomfortable.

My waitress was not organized. She brought Sushi when I ordered a Philadelphia Cheese Steak Egg Roll. Clearly, they are not the same. I had my 4 year old and the chef wanted to squirt Socki... inappropriate!

Overall, the experience was pretty fun, but the food for me tasted off. My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed the food. So I would say come here to at least experience it.And maybe you'll like the food better than I did. The restaurant was nice and clean.The service was friendly, and it was just a fun experience altogether. You'll never know if you like something if you don't try!

Absolutely loved this place. My daughter wanted sushi, my son and I got hibachi. The serving size was over filling. We all left stuffed and enjoyed it all. Defiantly would love to go again.

we came in to the restaurant.. and the server was already very disrespectful and prior we booked a reservation to the restaurant but while we were in the car, we called them and they said there was a 15 minute wait. However, once we come in, they tell us there’s no reservation and that we had to have a one hour wait. We try to use the bathroom while waiting for our table and allegedly had claimed we were being loud and disruptive and had threatened to call the cops on us when we tried to politely converse with the rude manager on how those claims were false. From the very start we were treated with disrespect. Me and my family only wanted to go to the restaurant to enjoy my sister’s birthday. Do not come here if you have a big party! 😡😡

My husband and I have been coming here for years and absolutely love the food and atmosphere. I'm not a hibachi person so I can't speak to that, but I love the sushi here. It's delicious and the prices are reasonable.

Went here for a birthday celebration and it was delicious. The food was great and it was so fun to see it made right in front of you. The proportions were huge. Only negative was you can't call ahead for reservations. But very worth the wait.

Amazing food. It's a little pricey but you get so much food and it's delish. Been going for years, and I've never had a bad meal here. Hibachi great! Pad Thai, excellent! Sushi amazing!

I order their sushi often. The three roll lunch special is reasonably priced, and the sushi is delicious. My go-to items are the Spicy Kani Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and California Roll. And last but certainly not least, their Hibachi menu is also delicious.

Used to be a great restaurant for hibachi and sushi. I am not giving up. Hopefully last night was just one bad experience. The place really could use a deep cleaning. Floors are sticky, tables have permanent stains on them.
Sushi was good as always.
I ordered Thai pineapple fried rice. It was HORRIBLE! I guarantee they no longer have an Asian chef. It tasted like they poured a two cups of tumeric into the rice. That's all I tasted. It was 😞
However The waitress was accommodating and took it back. Got the coconut shrimp. That wasn't great either but it was edible.

Favorite hibachi in Harrisburg!

If you want Hibachi, make sure your entire group is present. They don't take reservations. Fine. We had 14 people in our party and 2 were running about 5 minutes late but the hostess (who was rude AF) would not let the rest of us go to our table to be comfortable and order drinks. Then our waitress, while she was very nice, only came to our table to check on us 1 time! I had to hunt down one of the Hibachi chefs to ask where 2 of our guest's sushi orders were. The sushi was very good but the Hibachi was just adequate. It was good, but I've had better. I wish I could say better things but this was my experience.

It was freezing cold!!! You need to order hot tea and alcohol just to be comfortable! They were very stingy on vegetables prices where way to high for what they were offering. Waitress didn't want to answer questions about anything did not like her service, no spoons I stirred my tea with a fork! Chef couldn't do egg trick! It was awful...1st and last time for me!!

We like the noodles in addition to the rice and the prices are very reasonable.

Shogun Asian Fusion is a nice restaurant, they have a lovely fountain as you walk in that is nice with the relaxing sound of the flowing water. The restaurant is clean and nice looking on the inside. We were greeted and seated promptly. There is two sides to the restaurant one side is for those wishing to enjoy the hibachi food and show while the other side is for other menu items like steak egg rolls, fried rice, sushi and such. We decided to do the hibachi side. The room was kind of dark and it was absolutely freezing in that room! It was so cold it felt like we were sitting outside with no coats on in the winter! I was ready to go over to the other side of the restaurant but stayed on the hibachi side despite the cold but we didn't stay to finish our food there, we got it to go! The food was good and the little show they put on while cooking was nice but short and simple! I would not eat on that hibachi side again with it being that cold over on that side! But I would eat on the other side where they have tables and chairs and normal temperature room! The chairs on the hibachi side were low and hard to get up from if you have a knee or hip problem! The bathroom was pretty, warm and clean. Good food but cold on hibachi side! I had the NY strip steak from the hibachi from the lunch menu!

Lazy Host. Came in for my 6 years old bday, first time she asked to go eat somewhere. She wanted hibachi. When he went to seat us at the hibachi table he sat us on the far side.... I asked if we could move to the middle since it being my daughters bday. He said he had to fill us in far side first and that if there was a couple of two he would allow us to move to middle seating. Whole hibachi table could fit over 9 people. Anyways 2 people showed up and he sat them right in the middle.... and noone else showed up..... soon 5 people total... could have really sat us in middle. Or even came to tell us we could move.

Great food, a regular date night venue for us.. I wish they served French fries for my picky eater 7 year old so the whole family could go eat there.

So good we came back and ordered exactly what we got last time. Only problem is they DONT celebrate birthdays for dine in. But they USED to. Come to eat sushi but don’t expect to get celebrated on your day if you’re dining in.

The food is awesome. The hibachi grill performance is always great. The service in general...eh. Don't bring a large party. You can't get reservations so 18 of us sat in our cars for nearly an hour. Then they let us come in but they still had one party in front of us. Yeah. The group that walked in AFTER we arrived. So, not cool guys. But. The food is terrific.

Listen I’m not poor or anything but if your gonna charge 18% mandatory tip because I have 4 adults and 2 kids at least have good service then ..not sure how that’s a big table…also ordered off the lunch menu but then later was given dinner prices mind you this was before 3pm…I have social anxiety and was with guest so I let it go but I’m leaving my review now and won’t return…totally fine with paying extra all that jazz is fine with me if the food and service is good but it’s just not…food is half as good as it used to be and service was poor

First time going and the food and service were not up to par at all. The waitress didn’t understand anything and was rushing us the entire time. When the chef finally arrived he was a clumsy mess. He kept dropping his utensils so that totally ruined the experience. To make this even worse; someone at my table was allergic to shrimp and even after repeatedly saying this….the chef forgot and threw two shrimps on top of his plate of food. It happened so quickly. Everyone else at the table remembered he couldn’t have shrimp except the chef. Needless to say I will not be returning. The food had no flavor. My salad was pre-made and sitting in a cold fridge. There was literally no crisp left in the lettuce. It was a soggy sad salad.
Don’t waste your money here!!!!

I used to love this place, but the quality of food has dropped DRAMATICALLY in the past year. Smaller servings of yellowtail jalepeno, flavorless vegetable tempura, flavorless spring rolls, shredded crab on top of rolls that tastes and feels like rubber. A 0/10 experience. This place used to be the cream of the crop, and now it is not worth a passing stop.

Visited the place several times... always good food, a good show with hibachi, the sushi rolls are always good and fresh. It always feels expensive, but is similarly priced to other hibachi/sushi places.
