Simply appointed Thai eatery offering curries, stir-fries & a large variety of lunch specials.
I was very excited to order Thai tonight. Drunken noodles have been my go to for many years and many different places. I ordered it medium tonight. There was zero spice and zero flavor. It tastes how it looks, bland. I gave the second star because when I ordered awhile back it didn’t stand either way.
Great food and service. Skip the desert.
We had Pad Thai, Pineapple fried rize, and goiza dumplings, chocolate lava cake, and the fried taro with ice cream.
Pros:
The prices were very reasonable.
The food was very tasty. Every dish was flavorful and plentiful.
We were asked what our spice tolerance was before the meal.
The service was excellent.
There's parking right in front and across the street.
Cons:
The desserts weren't really delicious to me. I will probably skip them next time.
Would I recommend? Definitely. Cheap, tasty food? Why wouldn't you want to eat there?
Thai food was our favorite anyway and we had ordered food from this place earlier which was awesome. But eat-in here was the most wonderful experience and this is the best place in the area for Thai food. Portions and their prices are very good. Great interior, clean washrooms, elegant setting, prompt service & amazing food & desserts. Lunch combo offer is also good. We also got a free dessert as we had booked a table for us in advance.
My pad Thai dish was awesome! The young man that answered the phone was so polite and accommodating to my extra requests! When I went to pick up my order, the restaurant was spotless inside! And the young man was even more friendly in person!
First restaurant to give me food poisoning. I don’t know how they prepare their food, but I ended up throwing it up 1 hour later. Still having stomach cramps as I write this. Food tasted mediocre and bland. I don’t hate veggies but they put too many peppers in everything. Not enough sauce. Won’t be ordering from here again anyway.
Avoid this place. See attached picture. When you have to place a disclaimer on page one of the menu then they had many unhappy customers like myself. Ordered one of the dinner specials which was red snapper. I did ask what "whole fish" included in the the dish description. The waiter replied in broken English, "you get fish". Awkward. Didn't want to be impolite so I just nodded it said okay. 30 minutes later he returns with a dish with a full sized fish, head included. It tasted awful and looked gross. When I asked him to take it away the owner came out and started yelling "what's wrong, what's wrong? you should read menu, you should read menu." Ok, calm down. I said I never expected the fish to still have the head attached. She became very aggressive and agitated saying we should have asked. She seemed to exhibit some form of pent up frustration here because her reaction was nothing that you would have expected from a restaurant owner when a customer is unhappy with their meal. No apologies just condescending comments as if it were a cultural thing and not that too many people would like their meal staring back at them. There are other people who experienced a negative reaction from the owner (read other 1 star reviews). The soups also suck, just half cooked veggies in hot water. Blah...
I ordered the Peanut Chicken and I got a take out container of steamed veggies and some steamed chicken pieces. There was some "peanut sauce" on top. It's was more like a paste and didn't cover even half of the chicken and veggies. I've had this before and it wasn't like this. Very disappointing that they would send this food out.
Great food awesome owner

Great food and service!
food is ok.
Summer rolls are great. Seafood Pho is huge and plentiful. Staff is sweet, polite and attentive. Owner is engaged and conscientious.
A hidden gem!
Dinner portions are small and service from a young man is lacking. He tried but didn't even know where to put an appetizer down among a table of 2. Also, do NOT request anything different from the menu. (I asked for crab instead of usual protein choices for their pad thai special- willing to pay the difference and a mix of banana and taro for their dessert. ) Shame bc you'd think a small, not-too-busy family run place would be more accomodating. Days of trying to please the customer no longer exist.
Anyone else start getting “Lazada” charges in their bank account almost immediately after eating here?
We took our grandchildren for a Pho fix last night. They went with the seafood and it was amazing
Will be ordering more Pho soups from here. Thank you!
Always delicious! Loved that it was open on Christmas 😁
My green curry was bland and lacking the complexity of flavor typical of Thai food. I tried the pad Thai and that lacked flavor as well.
Loved larb. Good food. If i could live here i would.
Ordered online. Lunch specials are very good. The spring rolls are very yummy as is the Thai Rice and wonton soup is excellent.
I ordered beef pad thai, cheese steak egg rolls, sticky rice, and crab dumplings. All 3 items were delicious and authentic and the restaurant was clean. The only minor complaint I have is that I wish they would have had more beef in the pad thai, but I do understand restaurants cutting back due to high costs. I will definitely return. Delicious.
Absolutely amazing!! Service was great... super friendly and warm. Food was delicious. Lunch special was a steal. Can't wait to try more items on the menu!
So delicious!!
Waitress was just ok. Seemed she didnt understand n not experienced to the point it was annoying us. Food was good but my friend ordered a hot coffee which was mostly water. We informed waitress but was told no credit but can bring another which we knew would be the same. Maybe they dont know how to make coffee. It was strange.
I wish I could give this place NO STARS. DISGUSTING!
We have been wanting to go here for so long! I was really impressed by how friendly and warm everyone was. I loved all the dishes that came out with very nice presentation The atmosphere was so beautiful, I did feel like I was in another part of the world. We ordered the Shrimp blanket, fried Calamari, Beef salad & they were cooked perfectly, After our appetizer we had Salmon, Chicken fried rice, Rack Of Lamb I loved the pineapple rice with coconut sauce was absolutely delicious. We all enjoyed every moment and enjoyed their service I highly recommended this restaurant I also forgot to mention it is BYOP you can bring your favorite wine or liquor. We would love to go back again.
Thank you very much for the delicious food and service.
Thank you very much chef for the great food.
Ordered the crispy tofu, red curry and pad thai. Atrocious customer service and down right rudeness. It was our first time trying out this restaurant and we will not be back. I regret tipping on the bill before I picked up our food.
Strongly recommend Heng's Thai. It's a little more money but so worth it!
The food is delicious and flavorful. I love to visit this place only during lunches. Because, One out of more than 25 visits during lunches had bad experience. Two out of two were bad experiences during dinners.
So delicious! Best food in Drexel Hill hands down
Our new favorite place! We just moved to the area and are incredibly excited to live a short walking or driving distance to this restaurant! Ordered for dinner and the food was amazing! They give such large portions too so we have tasty leftovers for the next day!
Asian eggplant is phenomenal
Attentive staff
Wonderful restaurant
Ordered via grubhub. Ordered the pad thai. I had ordered from here before about a year ago. Their chef changed or something I am not sure.
They gave what tasted like a week old pad thai and disgusting shrimp. I usually do not rate places but I was very very disappointed. I think since we ordered towards the end of the day, they must have given stale pad thai so they wouldn't have to throw it out or something. It was seriously really bad.
I do not think restaurants should do this. You should make it fresh and not serve customers old food. I could not call the restaurant since it had closed by the time I opened the food.
This place is such a hidden gem. Closer to authentic in taste than Americanized. The foods are a bit pricy especially if you add protein but it's so worth it. Their noodles are absolutely spectacular in taste. The server was super nice, turning on the space heater for us. The place is very cozy and it's a little hard to see if you're just passing by. Only downside to this place is the parking, which is a paid parking in front of the place.
We love this place. Clean, great food and lunch specials, and friendly staff. Try it once, you will be back many times!
Great food 👍🏻 Nice staff clean nice place for a romantic dinner or just a quick bite to eat also it's a B.Y.O.B the greeter said.
This is my new favorite Thai spot! Everything we’ve tried was absolutely delicious!! The service and attentiveness is so appreciated. I love and appreciate the vegan options!
Ordered in. Can easily say it was some of the worst Thai food I’ve had. The peanut sauce for the chicken satay was like a paste and tasted very artificial and the drunken noodles were mostly vegetables (peppers). Prices are on the higher side but very unreasonable for the quality of food. Would not recommend.
Ordered through Uber eats. Food was just Ok. They forgot eating utensils and napkins. I ordered the salmon basil - Salmon was stiff and either over cooked or old. The basil sauce was watery and it wasn't spicy like I ordered. I never had to work so hard to cut salmon with my fork. I had high expectations, I guess I'll return to my normal Thai place: Pattaya!
It was really great, especially the duck
Picked up take out....very disappointed. Papaya salad had a "fishy aftertaste". Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Red curry.....completely unacceptable. The curry sauce was incredibly watered down and bland in taste. Must have changed chefs since I last ate there. All ingredients seemed " out of date". Prices were also on the high side.
Tremendously good vegetarian Thai food. And friendly people too.
Great food and service. Skip the desert.
We had Pad Thai, Pineapple fried rize, and goiza dumplings, chocolate lava cake, and the fried taro with ice cream.

The prices were very reasonable.

Consistently delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the Gyoza Dumpling appetizer. It is not to be missed. Everything I have ever had from Thai Arroy Dee is simply phenomenal. I can personally recommend the Fried Tofu appetizer, Red Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, Crab Pad Thai, and Pad See Euw. You can add any protein you want and any spice level. I usually go with spice level of 2. My kids are not quite as adventurous and usually order the General Thai Chicken, a lighter, Thai version of General Tso’s. Also, don’t miss their seasonal specials. I recently had their wonton soup special for the winter. So good - soup base with shrimp dumplings, noodles, baby bok choy, pork and other mix ins. The only quirk is if you order online and want to pick it up you have to pay cash in the store. No big deal. Just need to be aware
The food was outstanding. Everything was perfect and arrived piping hot. The portions were more than adequate, and I had lunch and dinner for the next day. The food was very fresh and of good quality. This is definitely my spot for Tai food going forward!
I generally like Thai Aroy Dee. Their food is solid. However, I think they may miss the forest for the trees on customer service. I am a semi-regular customer - I live about six blocks away - and tomight ordered about $50 in food. I picked up, tipped $10 on the carry out order, and asked for chopsticks. They gave me one set. I asked for one more set, saying "I am not eating two bags of take out be myself, heh", and was told extra chopsticks - the wooden ones in the red paper - were an extra quarter. I said, "wait, I just bought $50 in takeout, tipped $10 on a to go order, and you want to charge me a quarter for a second set of chopsticks?" Answer: sorry, yes. I said fine, gave the cashier a five dollar bill, and was charged.....50 cents for the second set. Maybe it is me, but I think I could handle providing two sets of wooden chopsticks on a customer who spent $60.
The take out service was good. But the food was not that testy as I expected.
Above avg Thai food. Not as good though as the restaurants in Media.
It could be better.
So disappointing. Called 15 mins after GrubHub's estimated delivery time and was told food was on the way. Called again 30 mins later (restaurant is 1.5 miles from me) and was told they never received the order and not to expect it. I made dinner for my family and we all sat down to eat...and there's a knock at the door because food arrived (over an hour late at this point). We called restaurant, person we spoke to was very nasty and yelled at my husband. No resolution, but we gave up trying to talk to them and attempted to sit down and eat again. All 3 kids see the food and ask for it, so we start looking through the bags. Incorrect order, cold food, and it included a few items we did not order and was missing things we did order. Shrugged and split an egg roll for the kids. Someone knocks on my door AGAIN. Delivery person is standing at my door (so much for contactless delivery...)...and demands to take the food back. I throw everything back in the bag. We call GrubHub ...and they tell us the restaurant is willing to issue a $30 refund for a $70 order. Unbelievable! I understand today is a holiday and we are going through unprecedented times, but this restaurant's service is just awful. All they had to do was explain that they were running behind, instead of playing thisstcat and mouse game. Even worse is that refused to own up to their mistake.
No accountability for their mistakes and lack of communication. Delivery was 15 minutes late for an order. We called to ask when it would be available and were told it is on the way. We live 5 minutes from the them. 20 minutes later, still no food. We called back and were told they never received the order and we want to cancel it. We make dinner ourselves. 10 minutes later our food arrives with several incorrect dishes. I called to complain about discrepancy and manager blamed grub hub and a busy night. 15 minutes later, a person arrives at our door to take food back for a refund. Give them the food, of which we at 1 egg roll and 1 crab rangoon. After calling grub hub they offer a $30 dollar refund on a $70 order! It is absolutely disgusting to put your customer though this and not own up to your mistake. Worst of all, this was on mother's day.
Waitress was nice but food was terrible and the food smelled rotten and tasted old. We paid and ditched just from a tiny bite of the food and had a 8 hour stomach ache.!!! EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK! Like the note said on their menu.
The food was delicious but the service was not quite efficient. Perhaps it was 2:30pm. There was only the only table atm. The server was slow but he’s friendly.
Lunch special is really filling! We got a soup, appetizer and entree for a fixed price. TOM Kha soup was delicious, not overflavored and filled with fresh ingredients. Crispy tofu had a good sauce. Chicken with peanut sauce was so so as the sauce was too thick. Would go again.
Ordered enough take out for 5 people and we ordered 4 entrees. 2x drunken noodle, a pad Thai and a cashew chicken. There were barely any noodles in either of drunken noodles and there was barely any meat in chicken curry. The different spice levels we had request were indistinguishable from any of the dishes and they were mainly just filled with mixed vegetables. The taste was decent but couldn’t help feel cheated out of the lack of any noodles or meat especially at the price we paid. Would not recommend unless it’s your only option and you feel like paying more for less.
Thai Aroy Dee was a pretty good restaurant with decent food but the service wasn't great. The server was comptant but very curt and made minimal effort to communicate with the table. For example, he sat four people at a table set for two and even after the food came out, there still wasn't a napkin roll with silverware for the other two people. It was things like that that were minor but overall but not a super enjoyable time. I would probably go back if I were in the area and looking for Thai food but with lower expectations for the service.
I don't know what's better the presentation or how the food taste.
I found a new Thai restaurant. The food was delicious. I will definitely be going back.
They need to step it up about 3 notches. Everything was just "eh" - from the food to the service. Okay if you want standard no frill thai food, but nothing was any more than mediocre.
Very solid menu and food
Catering was okay.
I used to go here a lot, but after today's experience I will not be back. The waiter was a young kid who mumbled, seemed pretty clueless, and didn't refill our water or take away dirty plates. We waited 40 minutes for our food when we were the only people there. One of the orders never made it to the table, but luckily we weren't charged for it. The shredded cabbage sides were all browned as if it had been sitting out at room temp for a while. The owner saw the two kids on their phones behind the front desk and had to prompt them to give us our check. The food was good for the most part, but not worth the 40 minute wait when we were the only customers. Some of the worst service (or lack thereof) I have ever experienced.
A great experience! There was no wait for a table. The service was excellent. We for appetizer the Goyza dumplings and they were perfectly fried and completely filled with pork. As an entree I had the drunken noodles with pork medium spicy, and they were delicious. My partner had pineapple friend rice with beef and he loved it. For dessert we had the crispy fried taro and the chocolate lava cake, they were alright. Over all it was great and I really recommend it!
Ordered through uber eats. Contacted restaurant to answer question and the staff was very nasty. I almost cancelled my order but im extremely hungry. I hope my meal is good. Ill be back to update my review once received.
It was a wonderful visit and had some great food there.
Great pad Thai and pad ke mao, and reasonable prices with nice size portions.
While visiting the area, I was particularly looking for a Thai restaurant and stopped here for dinner. Quite an impressive establishment and the food is awesome. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, Golden Rings calamari, and Drunken Noodle. Washed it down with a smooth refreshing Thai Iced Tea. My tastebuds were literally breakdancing! Staff is very courteous and very beautiful. Highly recommend.
This place never disappoint. Awesome weekday lunch special.
Great and affordable. The lunch specials are really good.
The worst Thai food I've ever had. I had to ask for the food to have a spice level. They said they don't cook it with any spiciness unless asked for. Ridiculous. The onions were not cooked in my curry. The vegetables were chopped so huge and uneven, like a 6 year old did it. The flavors were so bland. The mango sticky rice was blazing hot like they microwaved a dish that had been sitting around. I was so displeased. I will NEVER ever go back there. It's a shame that they even call themselves a Thai restaurant.
Good thai food
Excellent food and service. Worth a visit ( or two...maybe three or more.)
I ordered a variety of dishes for my family to try and most of the food was okay tasting but heavy. A bit on the greasy side. The flavors could have been more robust for me.
Great food and prices. The customer service is pleasant. Nice portions with a good taste. Ask for Zoey, great customer service. Very clean restuarant. Good blend of food.
I enjoyed the food so much I had to write a review. The menu has several options to fit several different flavor profiles and cravings. The waitress we had was awesome and very attentive. The presentation was well done and the taste matched it as well. I had take out and have dined in and would recommend this place highly.
Wonderful, the Tom yum was perfect for a rainy day. Fresh, bold flavors.
Avoid this place. See attached picture. When you have to place a disclaimer on page one of the menu then they had many unhappy customers like myself. Amazing! Great Food, Atmosphere, Service. Parking can be tricky but well worth it!
This is one of our favorite places for Thai food. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helps you with your order. The environment is nice. Food is delicious. Dine in or takeout, both available. Metered street parking is available infront of the restaurant. Or you can park your car for free at the parking lot infront of Ross.
It’s not authentic thai food like you think. The food was plain and expensive. Totally not worth the money . :)
Quick and easy
Food and service are very good. We eat there a lot.
Good place for Thai food. Seating is comfortable.
I was craving some Thai food and took a chance on this place. My waitress was very pleasant and the food was fantastic!
Great friendly service. Delicious food.
Can't say much about the dining experience as I have only had takeout once. Ordered Chicken Pad Thai for $12 and had a horrible meal. The serving size was horribly small for the price, noodles were okay but scarce and the chicken left a lot to be desired. If you want quality Thai food, I'd look elsewhere.
Great lunch specials.
Food was below basic Thai food. My Penang curry had a frozen vegetable mix (peas and carrots). Also an entree and two apps (crispy tofu was tasteless) was 28$. Incredible waste of money.
My sister and I went in for a quick lunch. It was nice and quiet. The staff very friendly. The food was great and reasonably priced!!
Had the beef pad thai. The meat had a strange taste. It was hard and tasted like it was about to go bad. Later that evening I had an indigestion. If you enjoy good Thai food and care about your health stay away from this place! Two thumbs down
Bad food and even worse service. We went there for wife's birthday. She tried to eat so as not to make me feel bad, but after trying to eat some of the food she finally said "I can not eat this, it has no taste and a funny smell". When I politely told the waiter about the problem and asked if my wife can have something else, the owner came up and said "you shouldn't have eaten so much of it if you didn't like it". The plate was still 75% full. We were offered no exchange, no sincere apology and no effort to make things better. I told them it was my wife's birthday and that this treatment was unacceptable, yet they couldn't care less. They just brought us the bill and we had to pay it. I also left my food almost untouched and we paid and left while the staff and owner did not mind us at all. They ruined my wife's birthday and our whole evening. Clearly the owner doesn't know what kind of customer treatment is minimally expected in a restaurant in the USA. Nobody has ever treated us like this before.
We've had Thai food many times in other places but this place was terrible.
Loved the atmosphere there. Very laid back with amazing food. So delish!!!!
Awesome, great food, so fresh and staff is so nice!! DELICIOUS!!!!!
Great Food, great service and authentic Thai food. You have to try the Pad Thai!
Best Thai food around....
High quality ingredients + Flavorable recipes = EXCELLENT Dishes!
Great food, little expensive for take out, but it's worth it. Paid with a hundred to delivery driver, didn't have change and went to other deliveries to come back with cash. Honest staff, great food. Will be back again. Pad thai is amazing!
Consistently very good and satisfying. Great to have good Thai food in Drexel Hill.
Prices good, clean. Love stir gry asparagus. Staff is friendly.
Decent pad thai. It was flavorful and a bit more on fish sauce. I didn't like the curry. It was too runny and bland, I didn't taste coconut cream.
Yum !!!!
While the employees are a little bit awkward, there's a lot of tasty thai entrees and great portion sizes that make it worth the cost. I'd say you can't miss with the thai coffee, and look for the different curries, especially the pumpkin curry. mango sticky rice ends everything well.
Always come here when I am craving for Thai's food.
This lunch special is so cheap and delicious I'm almost suspicious
Best Thai food I've ever had! I've tried almost the whole pasta menu, and each dish is out of this world (I am partial to the Thai Spaghetti and Spicy Noodles). Great, quick service, and they deliver!
Super nice people food is fantastic!
Very delicious and tasty thai food!! Would come back for sure!!
Seitan Satay!!!
Picked up take-out during their opening week. The restaurant was clean and well-decorated. The hostess/waitress was very attentive, the food was delicious! So happy there's finally a Thai place within walking distance! Hope they do well! I'll definitely be back!
