Cozy Thai Restaurant! We cook every dishes with love.
Place is a hidden gem. Had the pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles. Both dishes were excellent, fresh, and flavorful. Drunken noodles were level two and provided some serious pop. Almost ordered level 3 and that would have been too much for my palette.
My new favorite Thai place! The food was delicious and the staff was friendly when I picked up the takeout order. I certainly plan to come back soon. I'm not sure I'd plan to dine in, since it is a small space. But you can if you want to.
Amazing food!! We got the Beef Pad Thai spice level 5 and it was super super spicy and super good! This is my first time ordering from here and I will definitely be ordering more! One of the best Pad Thai ! The portions are huge ! But very filling and highly recommended! Must try and glad this place is local to us. These pictures represent just one serving
Just WOW!
The atmosphere was cozy, intimate, and inviting. The service was 5-star. The dish-ware was adorable, aesthetically appealing, and of high quality. The food was some of- if not- the best I’ve ever had. I ordered the Yellow Curry with chicken and my friend got the Pad Thai.
We also got Green Tea and it did not disappoint. The delightful woman running the show made it perfectly and informed us the tea was all done up and complete upon receiving it. She was very kind and so appreciative, an exceptional host. Later, a gentleman assisted in finishing off the experience and closing out our bill. He too was very kind and hospitable.
What a wonderful experience, I can’t wait to go back! Bring a friend and have a great time at this hidden gem in Drexel Hill. 💎
My wife and I visited Thailand and, as huge foodies, we can attest that this restaurant is genuinely authentic, including its spice levels (consider yourself warned). After experiencing the real thing, it's difficult to be satisfied with most "Thai" restaurants. I was nearly ready to give up on them entirely, but this place is truly special.
While the Pad Thai is a classic dish, my personal favorites are the Massaman curry, papaya salad, and pineapple fried rice.
Odie does everything herself and does it perfectly! She is a wonderful cook, service was great, and it was a pleasure to find such authentic and delicious Thai food (or as my people call it, "food" lol) near me. We will definitely be back again and again!
10/10 Highly Recommended!!!
Note: Seating is limited, takeout or delivery may be needed
Wonderful hole in the wall neighborhood spot! Owner is so lovely, and the dishes are so much tastier and authentic than a lot of surrounding restaurants. This is real Thai. It's a small spot, so we always get takeout.

I'm using my mom's phone to write a review. This is a really good restaurant the food is amazing, and the manager is really nice and you'll get your food faster than other restaurants the manager always put smiles on people's face. 😊 🥰🤗
Amazing food and service. The lady working here was so kind and we had a great experience.
Delicious, strong flavor.
Good portion for the price.
Wont be disappointed 👍🏼
I just had the chicken with cashew nuts and it was AWESOME. I’ve lived in Thailand for 5+ years and the flavor here is legit. It’s a small place with a homey feel.

Amazing small restaurant! The owner is so great and friendly and every meal is cooked to perfection. Haven’t had a bad meal and I’ve gone five or six times and gotten something different every time.
The owner is extraordinarily kind. I can’t go without getting the awesome thai tea she makes!
Excellent food, if you eat there it’s comfortable as well. By far the best thai spot in the area!
This place is amazing. We are creatures of habit and always order the same things and the proprietor remembers us, haha. I am lactose intolerant and my husband asked if it was possible to have red curry with no dairy (I know, you're horrified that we are so entitled that we would even ask) and she did it! I was shocked! Everything is always fresh, you will never have mushy shrimp or taste anything that seems "off" or "old". Please let's give them all of our money so they stay in business forever.
My husband and I LOVE Green Herb Thai. The owner is so sweet, personable and man, can she cook!! She uses fresh ingredients and we’ve never had a bad meal. Highly recommend this restaurant!
I ordered food from here and verified that it came with other items by calling and they still only sent me beef and that was it.
One of the best Thai dining experiences I’ve had! Food was amazing and the owner is such a sweet woman !!! Will be going back for sure and highly recommend
Most Delicious curry!!

Ordered take out everything was delicious just be warned i order 3 for spicy green curry. It was REAL hot. I thought 3 would be a little more than medium. Delicious but damn spicy
Fantastic little Thai spot. Four tables is all there are, but a bunch of to-go came through. People, this is real deal Thai. Green curry and Panang Curry were bright and vibrant. Dishes were loaded with meat and vegetables. Seriously worth your time to go in.
Staff was phenomenal and engaging. We walked out and talked about this place for about 20-30 min AFTER we left and got home.
We ordered there tonight! The food was so delicious and fresh:) We had Pad thai, chicken Satay and Cashew chicken…all were AMAZING! Will definitely be back:)
Just WOW!

Dined in on a Saturday night and the service and food was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and eager to provide us with great service. We had the Pad Thai and Green Curry which we found to be super tasty. It’s definitely small inside but we were the only couple sitting down. It’s well worth a try!
The food was Amazing!!
I asked for the hottest spice they had, I heard lv4, and immediately regretted my life choices. Flavors complemented spice.
10/10 would eat again
The food is really good. อาหารเป็นสิ่งที่ดีจริงๆ
new owners. The food isn’t as good as the last owners :(
Food was delicious. We were only ones in there and cook was great!
Good food and hospitality
My favorite Thai food in delco. Always a good amount of spice and decent portions.
I really loved the food. Their drunken noodle is delicious and they made it extra spicy as I asked! And the mango sticky rice was amazing. Will go back, especially for the mango sticky rice!
UPDATE: New owner/chef. Only been there once and they had only been open 3 weeks, but it wasn't the same experience. GF liked the basil lovers but I thought it was wierd. The pineapple fried rice was OK, but pretty generic. The vermicelli salad was fresh and tasty. Somehow they were out of rice and we had to wait almost half an hour extra for the food. They gave us some dumplings on the house while we waited, but still. And those 3 things were $44.xx.
The food is always awesome. In particular, as a rule I don't order pad Thai because it's usually just a sticky bunch of peanut butter and sadness, but their pad Thai is fantastic. I will give them that fifth star when they are consistently open.
Excellent food - the drunken noodles and red curry we're really good. If I didn't live in DC I'd be a regular
10/10 the food tasted incredible I got their a little early and she offered me some fried shrimp while I waited, which was so kind and tasted great! I’d recommend this place and will definitely be coming back
Best Thai food ever! Everything is fresh and yummy. New owners are so friendly and welcoming.
Great Food. Fresh and delicious. The staff is great as well. Definitely worth checking out. 2nd time in 2 weeks eating there.
**New Owners. Their hours and menu items are limited for now. But they have a decent amount of food to order. They have specials for a good price. They’ll be up and running full time in a week or so. But they are open.
Delicious Thai food with fresh brewed Thai tea! Super reasonable prices and fantastic food! 10/10 recommend!
I went for pickup on Wednesday evening. Needed to call in another order. No answer . Called twice more no answer. When I arrived completely understood why there was no answer. The cook was waitress, cashier,, and order taker. Thus the food was not as great. Requested spicy on all dishes and was barely, had to adjust at home. The curry’s green and red were too lose and beef Thai salad you could not find greens only tomatoes and onions. Spring rolls we’re frozen brand. It’s a small place and with take out and eat in a little to tight to enjoy eat in. Hire some help so there isn’t overflow into the street. Thus I will not be going back. Am still looking for decent Thai in Delaware County!
Loved the pad thai. Got level spice 2. Really good compared to another local restaurant
they have not been answering the phone and been closed for weeks on ubereats & doordash etc. did they shut down?
Spicy! Great to have a Thai place nearby for some heat to go. Quick service and pretty big menu. Have not been disappointed.
SO yummy! And the owner was kind to accommodate us even though she was the only one in.
We just discovered this small restaurant and were very excited about it. It is great to have it in the neighborhood. The food was really good and the waitress was friendly and funny. We definitely will come back!
Food was good but the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and inattentive. She was also very unpleasant in person. I called around 7:20 and she sounded irritated with me just because I wanted to call to place an order when they close at 8. If you're going to be so irritated then don't take the order and make the experience unpleasant for the customer, I could easily have gotten takeout elsewhere. So I probably won't be back even though the food was delicious.
A little gem in Drexel Hill !! We ordered fried calamaries for appetizer, so good. Then we ordered chicken Green Curry and chicken Larb (they don't have beef lamb). Both were delicious! Authentic Thai food. The owner/chef is a Thai person. We are glad and satisfy that we discovered this restaurant.
Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever found. The food is fantastic, the quality is consistent, and they always pay attention to special requests/modifications. I have literally never had a bad meal here and I cannot recommend Green Herb highly enough!!
I enjoyed half of what I ate. Not to say that the cooking in anyway was bad, but I made a choice of food that I didn't care for at all. The place is quaint and comfortable. The hostess was amazing. She was nice, courteous, and attentive to us. If you are ever looking for a snack business with food that comes out quick - stop by. The shrimp is really amazing
Absolutely delicious. Terrific Pad Thai, wonderful Wonton soup, super spring rolls!
Nice clean restuarant.
Best drunken noodles 😍😍
This place is fantastic! It’s the best Thai I’ve had in so long, and wonderfully spicy. This is my go to spot for take out.
I didn't enjoy their Panang Curry, my favorite dish, it lack flavor.
wow! highly recommend! I ordered for the first time and i am really impressed with every aspect. The food was so flavorful and fresh, it was so quickly prepared, the owner was wearing a mask while cooking the food, and was simply lovely to talk with! we tried 7 dishes and every one was spectacular! i can't wait to keep ordering from there.
Great food and great service!!! One of the few laces with good food around here.
Flavor, taste, and smell.of food was not appetizing...
My first time coming into this restaurant was with my family some months ago. Since than this spot has become an instant favorite. The food is excellent the service is great. I order from here regularly and will continue doing so. If you enjoy Thai food this is definitely a spot I would recommend.
They can never seem to get the spice levels correct. The last time we ordered I requested a spice level of 2, and it was so unbearably hot neither my wife or I could stand to finish the dish.
Good
Delicious!!!
Rather bland and salty.
Great every time
Order early
Delicious food, excellent service! Best mango & sticky rice in Delco/Philly! Best mango & sticky rice I’ve tasted outside of what I tasted in Thailand!
Yummy
The dumplings and spring rolls are the best around Upper Darby/Drexel Hill/Lansdowne.
Just getting over the flu, I needed something delivered that would knock my socks off. THEY DO NOT @#$% AROUND. I ordered a Green Tofu Curry with Vermicelli and a Green Papaya Salad (Spice level 3) and it is SO gloriously spicy and flavorful and delicious that I ate it instead of taking pictures. This was literally the best decision I've made all day
Green Herb has become my new favorite spot in Drexel Hill.
Love their curries!
I ordered Pad Thai and it was good.
I am vegan and gluten free. I have a real allergy but not celiac. I called and the woman who answered the phone knew what gluten free meant and knew not to put soy sauce in the food. She cooked for me and it was pretty good. It was a little bit bland but it was tastier than a lot of the soggy stuff I've gotten other places when I said no soy sauce. The veggies were fresh and not overcooked. I asked for salt and spicy sauce on the side which considerably improved the taste. This place is small and neat and they were responsive to my needs. I would go back when in this area.
I just had the best Thai food ever! Excellent service. I love this place so much. I have to come back when I’m in the area!!!
Really kind owners, good food at a great price.
We have eaten here two times and the food is delicious. We love it! The service is great and very accommodating.
Tiny, and beautiful food, prepared well. Lots of ambiance. I recommend
Service was good. The pad Thai was decent but would recommend some spice to it. The drunken noodles spice 2 and chicken satay app were great. We will be back again
The food was really good and as the restaurant was small, we had really great service. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Food yummy! And chef is so kind!
I called to ask if they could make something gluten free. They refused to cook for me. Very dissapointing.
Birthday lunch today here. We just googled Thai near by and this place came up.
Parking: Metered Street
Atmosphere: Home kitchen. Mom & Pop. Very small in there. A group would not be able to fit comfortably. It's B.Y.O.B though!!
Service: The woman who assisted us was very helpful and engaging.
Food:
DECLICOUS!!
I ordered for starters the Shrimp Dumpling (6 Pcs) which is Steamed or
| Fried minced chicken and shrimp wrapped in wonton skin. I had the fried. Great flavor.
Meal:
I ordered the Panang Curry with shrimp. It had sweet curry, made from dried red chili with sweet basil, bell pepper, broccoli, green bean, ground peanut, carrots, zucchini and coconut milk. Very flavorful! every ingredient danced on my pallet. The sweet and spicy went so well together. I'm not a fan of curry so I was glad that I did not taste any. I did not see any zucchini in my bowl so I was disappointed. The vegetables were fresh and cooked just right.
My friend had the vegetable fried rice with chicken and he said it was very good. He cleaned his plate.
It's my birthday and the woman who served us was nice and brought us out sticky rice and mango with a candle. Soooo sweet of her.
Overall my experience here was very good and I appreciated the home kitchen feel. Care was put into the food. I look forward to going back and trying a different dish.
Enjoy!
Wonderful Thai food made by the friendly owner! We look forward to returning. I highly and unequivocally recommend dining here to delight your tastebuds. Lots of flavor! ♥️
I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants and this one is hands down the best. So flavorful and each dish authentic and unique!
Went with the basics..satay, spring rolls, pad Thai..all very good! Will get more adventurous on next visit
Amazing....... !!!!!!! Food they nailed the spice not to much not to less just perfect !!!... this is definitely a hidden treasure 😛 the price is low and the food is just mouthwatering good... will be here often!!!!
Extremely nice staff. Good and reasonably priced food. Overall a really good experience . Don't be judgemental by the looks.
Tried this place for the first time to say-automatic fave. Ive had a lot of thai food and im not exaggerating when i say this place exceeded expectations and is now my number one for thai food /curry
We ordered the:
Chive dumplings
Chicken Satay
Fried Banana
Red curry with beef and shrimp
Orange chicken
+a thai ice tea
Everything was beyond flavorful. They give you options for spiciness and the thai ice tea is made in house, thai ice tea from my experience usually has a watered down flavor but this was a delightful punch in the tastebuds. So much so that I'll for sure be sure to stop by on my drives. Their thai ice tea is a necessity
Do not miss this place.
My favorite Thai!
Dont let the size fool you may be small but the food is amazing
Excellent! Order on Uber eats. Fast preparation, great flavor, fresh! I love it!
Worst food i never had this before in my whole life. I don't know how it's been rated 4.7 stars god knows...
Worst food. Dont go and waste money
Wow. Fantastic Thai. We went on a busy Friday night and enjoyed the mixed veggies and orange chicken. Both were amazing wi incredible sauces and seasonings. It's a small place but very cozy with excellent service. Definitely a good takeout option, too!
Ordered delivery last night, and all meals were delicious! Best spring rolls I've had in the area. Drunken noodle with chicken, Thai fried rice were both spiced perfectly and the veggies were fresh. I'll definitely order again.
Small, cozy place. BYOB. Somewhat limited seating and parking, so get there early for dinner and you won't be disappointed! The food is very good and the staff is friendly and attentive. If you like finding a small gem, you will like this establishment! They have a very brisk take-out business too. Bottom line - if you want real Thai food prepared well, this is the place to dine. We've been to several Thai restaurants in the area and none compare well to Green Herb.
Love this place. Authentic food, good service, reasonable prices.
Food was pretty good, very spicy. I was just really surprised how small the portions are. Would never order here again.
We dined here for the first time as a whole family. We ordered 3 entrees and it was perfect. The kids had the orange chicken with white rice while my hubby ordered the Kapow.
The Kapow is stir fried sweet basil, garlic, bell pepper, onion, green bean with spicy brown sauce. He chose to enjoy with beef. The spice and flavor was very tasty and the basil was very aromatic. It definitely had a bite.
The Pad thai was delicious and not so sweet. It was nuttier. I added chicken and tofu but it was not spicy. It needed more tamarind or fish sauce. Either way, it was tasty.
The place is small. It seats 12 people and its warm, so beware. It's new all it's exciting. Looking forward coming back!
Fantastic food! They are the only place in the area that I've tried that actually prepares their food according to the level of requested spiciness! I'm so used to ordering the highest level of spiciness and getting bland heat.... But at Green Herb Thai, they do it right!
The food we ordered was all great.
I haven't eat there yet, mainly because the place looks small and uncomfortable from the outside (abd according to the pictures), but the delivery person was unfriendly. She called twice without ever bothering to come up to the door, knock, or ring the doorbell. But the food made up for it, and I'll definitely give their delivery person another shot.
Delicious steaming hot delivery, incredible for take out Thai. It blew me away. Watch out for their spice meter! a 3 is equivalent to an 8 at The Han-Dy-Nasty
Shrimp dumplings, amazing would definitely recommend this spot
So this is a place to eat!!! Hey, DelCo make sure you stop in or order out so this place stays open!!
Great food (I liked the Pad Thai) and the Chicken Satay.
Great service and very tasty food
The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and they have an excellent website. The space is a bit small, but its bright and clean. As long as you do not have a big group its not an issue. But seriously, treat yourself to ordering from their website (and maybe some crispy egg rolls while you're at it).
So excellent - food amazing, service stellar, atmosphere so excellent. loved it!
Small and cozy place with dine in and take out. The yellow curry, panang curry and spring rolls were really good.
Great thai food and right by where I live!
First visit, all was great!
I began with spicy sour soup, while my fiance had the coconut soup. Both came with richly flavored broth cented with wonderful herbs; mine with Thai Basil in particular and my fiance's with lemongrass. Both came with the meat of our choice; shrimp, beef pork, or chicken. I chose chicken for mine while he had shrimp; both were excellent and very satisfying.
Next were my fried calamari, which were battered with the lightness of a cloud, and perfrctly textured, while his summer rolls, were light, cool and crunchy delight. The peanut dipping sauce was a good pairing.
My Pad See Ew was great; broad noodles wuth egg, and broccoli, in brown sauce with shrimp. His chicken Bamboo Stir Fry came full of bamboo, green pepper, and a peppery broth redolent of lemmon grass and just enough heat at #1.
Green Herb Thai is a
"Must Try"
for anyone !
Best Thai food in the area! Haven’t had Thai food this good since I’ve been to the country...this food is authentic and doesn’t cave in to “Americanize” their food. As good as it gets and I should know, I’m Thai!
Great new addition to the Drexel Hill restaurant scene. The food is very good, portions just a little smaller than other Thai restaurants in the area. There Thai tea is a MUST try. The triangle tofu is equally delicious. Don't feel like going out, no problem they also deliver through UberEats.
My wife and I had the green and red curry. Both were excellent. The fried calamari starter was also delicious. Not a lot of space for large groups, but great food and friendly staff make it perfect for date night. Highly recommended.
