I don’t know what happened but they did something funky to the curry over the last two visits. It’s really starchy and they changed how the carrots are cut into tiny pieces which changes their consistency from a little crunch to mushy soup carrots. Please reverse course. We’ve been coming here for curry for over 5 years.

The Red Curry is to die for. Thanks for opening a second location in Quakertown!!!!!

Diner Review №3

The chicken wings and money bags were pretty good but the overpriced “specialties” were terrible. Under seasoned and non of it tasted fresh. My wife got the mango sticky rice for dessert and I could barely even look at it because it even looked unappetizing. Mangos from a can and warm rice drizzled in simple syrup. Definitely won’t be going back here.

The food is SO GOOD. They have many gluten free options and great drinks including mocktails. The service is always attentive and kind. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №5

Food was just amazing 🤩 we ordered tropical Thai money bags with
Tropical Thai fried rice and Tropical paradise drink 🍹 they were so delicious 😋

My first experience with Thai food was wonderful! I'll definitely eat there again. I loved the Spring Rolls and Drunken Noodles. I wish I would've ordered food spicier. I ordered medium and it was delicious. Next time, I'll go up a notch. Service staff were professional and served with a smile.

Diner Review №8

We went on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The cocktails were awesome and the food even better!

Diner Review №9

The food is pretty good however the prices are a bit high for what you get. Better off going elsewhere if you don't want to over pay.

I had an issue with the server but the management post evening made it right which I deeply appreciate (Allie and Em) food was very delicious and reminded me of when I was in Cheng Mei, Thailand

Diner Review №12

Very bad service and attitude take out order was just a ice cream and they show excuses like kitchen close and in dine food was terrible sweet

So glad to finally have a good Thai restaurant. Tried the Panang curry and it was delicious

I recently dined at The White Orchid and tried the potsticker soup and confit chicken wings. The soup was enjoyable, with a tasty broth. Unfortunately, the chicken wings were disappointing—the chicken lacked flavor, the crust fell off easily, and the accompanying sauce was the saving grace of the dish. My friend ordered the lemongrass soup, but the broth had an overpowering sweet vinegar taste, and the chicken was bland.

On the positive side, the staff were fantastic—attentive and friendly—and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. However, the bathroom needed significant improvement. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend The White Orchid to friends or family.

Diner Review №18

I get takeout from here pretty often but tonight it was not good. I ordered pad see’ew with tofu. The tofu was under the noodles, leaving it very soggy and somehow still tasteless. I always prepare for the worst when ordering vegetarian dishes at restaurants that aren’t specifically vegetarian, however like I said I eat here often and it is always very good. Tonight really missed the mark for me.
However, the front hostess was very kind and the restaurant does have a nice atmosphere. If you are vegetarian and considering the pad see’ew, I would just get it plain and skip the tofu.

One of the best Thai food we ever had. I highly recommend the pad Thai and the papaya salad. So delicious.

Diner Review №21

First time getting takeout, and although the sauce was missed, the food itself was delicious per usual. Can’t say enough kind things about the owner and staff as they were extremely friendly.

Diner Review №22

Diner Review №23

Me and my wife have been in the Lehigh Valley since this restaurant’s inception. Several staple entrées have really gone downhill, but nothing like their service. The hostess turnover rate is inexplicable, which lends to deteriorating service and an inability to listen to the customers requests/needs. Hoping a competitor opens in nearby to offer an option, or have restaurant manager/owner revisit current status.

Diner Review №24

I really like this place, food is so good. I sometimes do take out for lunch. They have a lunch menu special during the week. Feels a bit pricey for lunch but the food is good. Lots of vegan/plant based options. Nice atmosphere if you sit closer to the bar side area, the other side with the booths is more casual. Staff are nice.

Diner Review №25

Cool place! Ordered pot stickers entree and it didn’t have very many for an entree but they were delicious!

Diner Review №26

Diner Review №27

The food was delicious and fresh. The cauliflower appetizer it was absolutely delicious. The drinks were a bit pricey for what they were. All in all a good experience.

It’s a little more pricey than most Thai restaurants but the food quality is amazing. Very pleasant environment and great service too. Best crispy duck with curry I ever had.

Diner Review №35

We arrived today shortly after noon (12:10PM) the waitress came to take our beverage order. Twenty minutes or more before we received them, all the while people were being seated around us. Our waitress took an order for people who were seated after our arrival, I motioned to her and she came over, can you take our order please! 50 minutes went by, people who arrived after us were served. It was one hour before our food came and was terrible, the meat that we selected was so tough we could not chew it at all. I spoke to the manager and she knew that we were not happy and said nothing about it or offered any compensation.

Diner Review №36

Been here twice , i tried crab fried rice , pineapple fried rice , chicken wings ,corn fritters & spring rolls. 5* for crab rice, 3* pineapple rice. CW , CF & SR are excellent 5* for them to.

Diner Review №37

If we’re in the mood for Thai, we go here, every time. And it’s often. Get the Thai wings extra crispy, coconut soup w/ chicken (med spice), drunkin noodles, Panang curry. Amazing!

Diner Review №38

My food was ok, but my husband's protein smelled terrible. When we mentioned it to the waiter, she just said sorry and left. We won't get back.

Diner Review №39

Service was a little slow for a pretty empty restaurant but food was pretty decent.

Diner Review №40

Beware, no quality guarantee whatsoever for takeout orders.

We have dined-in here a number of times in the past and been generally pleased with the food. We decided to order takeout one evening and ordered a dish with the spiciest option ("Hot"). Tasted the food and there was zero spice whatsoever, and the dish lacked seasoning in general. We took it back to the restaurant and was told that, since it was takeout, there was nothing they could do- no refund, voucher, anything. We were told that if we had dined in they could've fixed it for us, but weren't willing to do anything to right the wrong for a takeout order.

Diner Review №42

I had gone thru the reviews of this place on what to order, what to expect, etc. Gladly, almost all the reviews turned out to be true. I ordered a mango duck curry with medium to hot spicy - it was cooked to perfection. They’ve a good selection of wines as well. In our group, there were a few vegetarians also who could find good multiple food and beverage options. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to visit again!

Diner Review №43

A pretty good place for family dinner

Diner Review №44

Food tasted good, but price is very high for what you get. $15 dollars for a slice of carrot cake supposedly for 2 but was a slice for one. And $20 for red curry with shrimp, maybe large 8 shrimp and a small amount of rice wasnt what we expected. Most places in philly give a generous serving of curry and rice since both are very cheap to make so we wwre disappointed. For almost $100 for one order of red shrimp curry, wings, a cup of soup, and carrot cake a little to expensive for Thai food.

Diner Review №45

It’s just not worth the price. I ordered Basil rice 🍚 and 2 eggs 🍳 fried medium-hard $27. As an Asian/Pacific Islander, for those simple ingredients, I can’t see this meal being that expensive. So this place is for the super bougie 🤑 that want a Thai-fusion experience.

Diner Review №46

Ordered two appetizers: calamari and Thai money bags. Calamari was excellent but the Thai money bags were uninteresting -ground chicken in a nicely shaped deep fried dumping. Also ordered mango curry duck and the seafood paella. The mango curry duck was excellent! The seafood paella had shrimp, scallops and calamari, and rice and vegetables. The rice was a little too moist even soggy and this dish overall was a little bland. In any case, the calamari and the duck were outstanding. I will return to try more choices.

Diner Review №50

I have been enjoying the good Thai cuisine and location for lunch meetings for a while. The lunch deal and convenience of getting a table and a relatively quiet atmosphere to meet have been great.

Unfortunately recently I decided to grab dinner take out and was seriously disappointed. The cost compared to other top Thai places in the area is +30% but what was more upsetting is the quality and quantity. No other way to put it. It was shocking and disappointing (see photo). I don’t understand what happened here because lunch portions were generous.

Only thing I can think is the order taker wanted to charge a card on the phone before pick up which is fine. I was asked to add gratuity I had to decline twice. Perhaps this offended them.

The dishes barely filled the containers. On top of all this they charged a 3% takeout service fee when I actually called and gave them my order on the phone (I see this when using a third party online menu and I get that because they have to pay that) but just for calling a take out order?

Either way I will never order take out here again. There are better. Cheaper and more quality options for great Thai food nearby.

Diner Review №51

This was a happy find while traveling for business. Friendly staff, great appetizer and main dish. Try the cauliflower appetizer and the Hawaiian pad Thai. They are both delicious. The portions are large and came out hot. My server was quick and attentive without being intrusive. Great experience overall.

Diner Review №52

Diner Review №53

I ordered the pad thai, drunken noodle, and pineapple rice via grubhub yesterday.

Pineapple rice was good.

The pad thai tasted great but had egg shell in almost every bite. Tiny, tiny pieces. How does that happen??

The drunken noodle (pictured) itself was also very good, and they did not joke about the thai spicy level which was pleasantly surprising.

My problem with this dish was the up-charges: there was an option to substitute the meat with a vegetarian egg option. But unlike a meat substitution, which would be stir-fried into the noodles with the seasonings, they put two fries eggs (cooked expertly with the yolk still runny) right on top with no seasonings. Am I wrong for thinking the proper way to substitute something that would normally be cooked in the dish is to do the same with the alternate ingredient? It was very disappointing.

On top of this, I also added eggplant for a small additional charge because this is a thai restaurant and I LOVE thai eggplant. It said "eggplant" so in their defense, they did not specify a thai eggplant, but i have never had any eggplant other than thai eggplant at a thai place, you must understand. Why is eggplant Parmesan eggplant even in their restaurant? They should not be using it. I was flabbergasted.

And I hate to be so picky, but when you are paying 2-3x the amount you would at your locally owned thai restaurant, to eat food that is sub par in comparison, it's a a huge let down. I would highly recommend going to a real thai place like Thai Kitchen in Bethlehem or Thai Halal on Main in Northampton. Thats some of the best thai food in the valley.

Diner Review №54

Took the wife there for her birthday was very happy

Diner Review №55

Wonderful place for a nice dinner. Highly recommend the pad Thai, and the red curry.

Diner Review №56

Ordered takeout rice dish. Order was incorrect and food bland lacking good flavor. Definitely overpriced and fell short on taste.

Diner Review №57

Had the pork belly, coconut rice, two eggs on top, delicious. had two beers. Ben was awesome. cant wait to go back.

Diner Review №58

Excellent service, stellar old fashions and duck and haddock dish outstanding! Flavors are incredible.

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

My daughter and I had slightly different versions of Pad Thai. I had the Pad Thai Ramen and my daughter had the traditional Pad Thai. Mine had the addition of a fried egg, fried wonton, and fresh mango. The fresh mango was a really nice surprise. We also had the chicken lettuce wraps that comes with a portion of sticky rice. I also had the raspberry tea...sweet much like Thai beverages. All in all a good experience. I would go again but ask for much spicier chili's.

Diner Review №61

Calm cozy comfortable, with no rush service... fair priced.... excellent value. !!

Diner Review №62

As always, a delightful and delicious visit. Everything from the appetizers to the cocktails to the entrees were absolutely on point. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Portions are generous. Will come back.

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Very flavorful and well-prepared. Maybe it's just my experience, but the service from the server could have been better but overall, a good place to have dinner or go on a date. Oh! The drinks could have been more potent for sure. I ordered a lychee daiquiri, and got confused thinking they gave me some other juice instead.

Diner Review №72

A really good dinner experience at the place. Money bags was an appetizing appetizer 😁 but spring rolls are just ok. Tried the drunken noodles, red curry and basil fried rice. Really good. Lemongrass soup is excellent. A bit expensive but food is very good.

Diner Review №73

Our lunch experience was truly memorable, thanks to the delectable food and outstanding customer service, with the waitress providing attentive and exceptional service.

Diner Review №74

Wow! What an amazing find. This is a must if you are in the area or passing through. The cauliflower appetizer was fantastic as was the green papaya salad. Took a chance on the duck and was equally as impressed with both the flavor and the presentation. Portions are generous and the overall value is excellent.

Diner Review №75

Pad Thai and papaya salad Som Tum were phenomenal!!! So delicious, and packaged carefully for takeout so that the peanuts stayed crunchy. Was able to substitute and add on proteins, and options to customize spice level, gluten free options and vegan options!! Best Thai food I’ve ever had, for sure.

Diner Review №76

Service was great, waitress was awesome! Food was really not good at all. Went with my family- we’ve all had Thai before. The Vegetable Curry Dip Appetizer was good, but it was a soup, not a dip. We also ordered the Green Curry, Tom Kha soup with chicken, and Pad Thai. I had the Tom Kha and it tasted bad. Almost rancid. I imagine someone opened a can of coconut milk and it was stuffed in the back of the fridge for a couple weeks, and that was the base for my soup. The Pad Thai was a pile of tasteless noodles. Frozen meals taste better. Had to send back the Green Curry because it had a similar rancid taste to it. Would not recommend unfortunately. Also they have one bathroom in the restaurant, and the door was locked the whole time despite trying to use it 3 times during our time there. Wasted money.

Date night with your partner or girls' night out, White Orchid is the place you're going to want to enjoy! You do not want to miss the calamari -- I've never had anything like it. An awesome atmosphere, day or night, and food that is second-to-none. I've been eating at White Orchid since they first opened and it never disappoints. A regular in our rotation for celebrations or any date night!

Diner Review №79

White Orchids has great Thai food with plenty of options for everyone. They have classics dishes and specialty dishes as well and simple appetizers with a Thai twist. They have a great drink menu as well. Service has always been great here every time I’ve come. Atmosphere is also good.

Diner Review №80

I went here for lunch yesterday. All staff was friendly, helpful, and taking the dishes off the tables. No one stood around except to wait for the food to come out. The food was fresh and superb. The drinks.... well, let's just say after 2 drinks, we were tipsy. They were made to perfection.

Diner Review №81

The only thing I didn't like was that my consumption was 25 dollars and I paid with 100 and I was waiting for my change, so I asked the girl if she could give me my change since I had been waiting for 15 minutes and she told me no. They would give me change because I didn't mention that I wanted it, to which I said it's illogical not to want it.

Diner Review №82

Restaurant was dirty. Cobwebs tangled on light fixtures. Super bright atmosphere. Silverware on floor along with other trash throughout restaurant. Our table was not clean before we sat down. Had a reservation but they forgot about us. Food was good. Waiter was attentive and friendly hence the 3 stars for service.

Diner Review №83

I wish I would’ve taken a picture of what my take out food looked like, because it didn’t look very appetizing like the pictures I see posted here. I ordered the Pad Thai the noodles was over cooked I paid extra for shrimp and five more add on and two weren’t even in my food, customer service was horrible, called and spoke with Katty she gave me the runarounds couldn’t assist me, said I need to speak to another manager 😳 after waiting 3 days I spoke to another manager Avery and she said I needed to speak to another manager 🤣🤣🤣 I spent 75.00 should have just went to a authentic Thai food restaurant for half the price, and better food

Diner Review №84

Best Thai food ever! We had moved out of state and terribly missed this place. No other can compare. We are so happy to be back! Highly recommend!

Diner Review №85

Good food, not best but good. Atmosphere needs a bit cleaning (ie. cobwebs on light posts).

Diner Review №86

Wonderful selection of curry! Amazing and kind staff. Perry was so great and attentive

Diner Review №87

Diner Review №88

Weirdly expensive for the cuisine. I have been here a couple times now for lunch and just beware that the entree options are more expensive than you might expect for a Thai place. The top part of the menu is like a "chefs special" section and are full entree including proteins. These start at $25 and go up to ~$40 for what is ostensibly an entree for one person.
There is a thai noodle and curry section below, but note that the proteins are not included so a pad thai at $15 needs another $6 for Tofu or $7 for chicken making it a $22-$25 option at the end of the day.
Add drinks and appetizer on top of that and you're easily looking at a $50 meal for LUNCH.
That being said the food itself is good. The flavors are all there and the noodles have good texture. So I'm not saying necessarily don't go there, just be prepared to spend more than the $$ might indicate and that to me at least it's not quite worth the price.

Diner Review №89

This place is very beautiful, I sat outside and viewed the mountains as the sunset. The food was thee best thai food Ive ever had! Delicious!

Diner Review №90

They force you to see a credit card and charge extra for takeout but do not disclose ilthen when ordering over the phone..

Diner Review №91

This is not the first time I've eaten here and I had no complaints before. Saturday dinner was not what I expected. I ordered the Pineapple stir fry and paid the extra $10 for Thai sausage with crispy pork belly. My son had the crispy fish but he was excited to try the sausage so we would share our entrees. There was literally one slice of sausage in my dish and I gave it to him. Seriously one little slice not a piece and the crispy pork belly was not crispy. It was soggy fat floating in my bowl. Normally I would have said something but it was my son's birthday and I didn't want to ruin it by having to send it back. Really disappointing. The appetizers were really good though. Especially the chicken wings so I gave three stars.

Diner Review №97

We have been enjoying White Orchid regularly since it opened. Had lunch on month ago, take out lunch yesterday. Something changed, the food is not nearly as good as it once was, ingredients have changed, $80 lunch for two not including tip, not worth what you get.

Diner Review №98

Diner Review №99

I was disappointed to see that this place charges extra for their protein when ordering a curry dish. So i ordered the crispy calamari salad and enjoyed every bite of it. The calamari was crispy, and the Thai dressing came in different levels of spiciness. This salad might be the best calamari salad I've had. I'm sure their entire menu is just as good.

Diner Review №100

Horrible service and average food beef was lacking full of fat too and noodles no flavor and papaya salad little flavor with old tomatoes and warm wine 45 min to wait for chilling at whiteorchids_thaicuisine then they didn’t even clear our plates and brought the main dish in the middle of my salad. Sticky dirty table. $135 for a $50 meal.

Diner Review №101

My Wife and I ordered the Light & Crispy Fried Spring Rolls - Po Pia Tod, Price $11
Described as Clear vermicelli noodles, chicken and mixed vegetables. Served with a light chili & carrot vinegar dipping sauce for an appetizer. The four Spring Rolls came on a oval dish with no garnish and a small tin of a watery substance, that was so diluted that it was tasteless. The Spring Rolls could have come from the frozen food department. Actually, I've had better in the frozen food department.
My Wife's main dish was ordered from the "new menu"(website still shows the old one). She had Bobby's Vegetable Curry. Price $28.00 The curry was so concentrated and downing out the noodles it was inedible, except for the vegetables in the dish. The waitress did offer to take it back, but we didn't want to spend anymore time waiting for a different dish.

I had ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. Price $22.00
Described as Stir-fried vermicelli rice noodles, egg, scallions and bean sprouts. Served with crushed peanuts. It was by far the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. It was an uninspired glutinous heap of rice noodles with some crushed peanuts thrown on one side of the dish. There might have been a scallion or two in the dish. Also, I didn't see any egg, as advertised. Seriously an embarrassment, and a poor excuse for Pad Thai.
I requested the manager. The woman comes over with defensive hands on her hips, and never apologized. The waitress had actually asked if we wanted to take the leftovers home with us!! Really?
As a parting good will gesture, the Manager brings over 2 small flutes of Prosecco. My Wife was already in the car, and I just wanted to leave and never return.

Diner Review №105

This is my favorite place for Thai food. We always reserve a table beforehand. They are usually very busy during the weekends. The food quality is quite amazing! They have a bar as well. They have a great selection of drinks. My favorite is Asian Peartini. We love their Crispy Calamari, Pork Belly Satay, Tom Kah. From entree we have tried their different types of fried rice options. I tried their Green Curry and Masaman Curry both were delicious but I personally liked the Green Curry better. My husband tried their Pad Thai and kids love their fried rice. Their Carrot Cake is absolutely fantastic!

Diner Review №106

The food was awesome and so was the service. Perry provided us excellent service and made us feel very comfortable. There was a young *lady that came around, to see that everything about our experience was great (I didn't get her name) - shout-out to her, too!

Diner Review №107

I’ve been here 3 times and have never had a bad meal. All the food is consistently great. Pictured is the corn fritter appetizer (delicious), and the Green Curry w/ Chicken (also awesome).

Diner Review №108

Amazing Thai place in the town. I wonder if they have another restaurant near my place. The food was amazing and delicious. The people working there are nice and friendly. I went there on week days so got the seating right away. Not sure on the weekend if there is a wait time. Price was okay since food meets up to that price level it's well spent.

I will definitely recommend Thai lovers to visit this place. You will be surprised by their cocktail drinks. I loved it.

Diner Review №109

Very good Thai food. This was my second visit here, and it was just as pleasant as the first. The Thai ice tea is a must to try.

Diner Review №110

I'm never disappointed by the food. Love the curry.

Diner Review №111

Everything about this place was so-so. The hostess didn't offer a seat outside, which we would have preferred. The bar couldn't make my first drink order and then couldn't make my 2nd order (the first drink on their menu). The Tom-ka soup tasted like it was doctored with evaporated milk, an addition my dairy-intolerant friend confirmed and had trouble with later. Our entrees were decent, although I'd ordered a mild dish with extra spice on the side: it came with medium heat and not on the side. My friend ordered medium heat and got mild. So.. not worth returning in my book.

I had the tropical rice. I was surprised that the rice was still a bit white, compared to thinking it was going to be fried rice, but the flavors were fantastic and it felt more like a healthy dish. I brought home leftovers and ate it for two more meals. Definitely expensive there, but obviously they do give you a good size portion. Our server was really good, I forget her name, blonde lady.

Diner Review №118

I've been coming here for at least a decade because they were the only vegan thai around with their own separate vegan menu. The quality of dishes are always the same - amazing flavor, know what to expect each time especially as a repeat pad thai, drunken noodles and tom kha orderer. Fancy cocktails are fun and diverse options. Pricey but always worth it. Id recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner to anyone going to the promenade shops.

Diner Review №119

The food is great, and cocktails are good, too.

Diner Review №120

I have to say My husband and I have been getting takeout here and dining in for the last 7 years, and have to drive 40 minutes to get it even though there’s several other Thai restaurants closer to us. However, they started to sneak in a 7% service fee for takeout, without telling you ahead of time. I’ve never heard of such a thing and I am sure the cost of dining in surpasses the cost of takeout containers when you take everything into consideration. The food has also dropped significantly in their quality, and for $100 for 2 pad Thais, spring rolls, and fried rice, it is simply not good enough to pay that and make the drive. I would not recommend going here anymore, and based off the owners replies to others not do great reviews, he’s not concerned so long as he can keep sneaking in service fees.

Diner Review №124

Food and service was exceptional. I got the green curry and my daughter got the red curry and we both had the coconut rice with it. Both dishes were delicious, as well as being sizable portions.

Diner Review №125

We only had a few appetizers, but all we're flavorful and delicious.

Diner Review №126

Have been a loyal customer of White Orchids for over a decade, but I think I am done with them. The last 3 meals there have been very, very underwhelming. Ordered takeout last night, might I add with a 7% surcharge for to-go on top of the menu prices. My daughter's fried shrimp app was about 15 baby canned shrimp the size of a dime, not a tail to be seen. I ordered the drunken noodles for $15, the added on shrimp for my entree consisted of 4 medium shrimp for $11. This Thai restaurant doesn't even offer fresh spring rolls to go anymore. How? Sad to say food quality has dropped significantly. Thai Origin in Allentown has this place beat by a mile with regard to food quality and cost. Only downside is no full bar but its a BYOB. Bye White Orchids, it was fun while it lasted.

Diner Review №127

A very nice Thai food restaurant in Center Valley. Nice atmosphere, very good food and excellent waitresses!

Diner Review №128

Mediocre food. Pad Thai swimming in oil. ( see picture) . Drained it on paper towels before eating. They sneak in a 7% take out fee. Seriously? Cost of takeout containers insignificant compared to dishwashing ,table bussing, Wait staff .

Diner Review №133

My first time eating Thai food. I don't like spicy food but they ask you how hot you want it do I was able to get my food without any spicy/heat to it. Excellent food!

Diner Review №134

Subpar, slow service, expensive for what you get.

Went there for dinner and did not have a good time. We picked the place because they have vegan options.

I ordered drunken noodles, which were good, but my wife’s massaman curry tasted like just coconut milk. That’s one of my wife’s favorite dishes and she orders it frequently when we get Thai food.

Their service was terrible, the food took a very long time to arrive, and our waitress would disappear for long periods of time, at some point I had to go ask someone to find her because we wanted to talk to her about the food, and even then it took a while for her to come.

They said the dish didn’t taste like it was supposed to because it was made vegan, which doesn’t match with our experience at a number of other Thai restaurants. Either way, by the time we got the waitress to come and talk to us, the food was already cold, everybody else had already finished eating and it was late, so my wife ended up eating it anyway because she was very hungry at this point and it would take too long to get another dish done.

Everything was very good. Really enjoyed that the food was loaded with fresh vegetables. The money bags were my favorite. They were so good.
My drink has a pear vodka with sake and that was also delicious.

Diner Review №136

Very large portions especially for kids. A tad pricey but the food is good and the amount you get is worth the price.

Diner Review №137

Went for dinner first time. We love Thai and eat at many restaurants. I’d say the food flavor and quality is one of the poorest that I have come across. Vegan and veggie entrees were so bland and without any taste. Coconut soup was good. Pad Thai was ok to below average. For the price point that it operates I don’t think there is much value for the taste and flavors of Thai food. The server did the best she could but couldn’t do much.

Diner Review №138

Nice atmosphere. Good food. Enjoyed the fact their ingredients are all fresh and well cooked

Another great visit to White Orchid. Our group had a great time while enjoying bar drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. I personally loved the Crispy Fish... Incredible!

Wonderful service and atmosphere. Our food was great. Had enough to take home for seconds. Avery, was very attentive and helpful. Great experience for our first visit. Definitely not our last.

Diner Review №145

This was some of the best Thai food I have had in awhile. Definitely worthwhile.

Additionally, we went with a gluten-detecting dog and it cleared every dish that was supposed to be prepared that way. Absolutely stellar!

Diner Review №146

We have gone there a couple of times and food and service have been consistently good. We expect to continue to go there.

Diner Review №147

Food is not bad but a little overpriced. Bathroom was dirty and didn't have paper. Wait staff was nice and polite. Plenty of choices.

Very good food....overall solid place.

Diner Review №150

Every time I've gone the food, service, atmosphere, drinks, etc have been exceptional. The thai hot is properly hot and all of the fusion dishes are so well done. It's a little pricey but i never leave without leftovers and a food baby so it's worth it for sure!! It's my go to date night spot.

Diner Review №151

A great Thai food restaurant. The appetizers were great, especially the shrimp and calamari. The service and entrees were top notch as well, especially the Drunken Noodles.

The food was good but on the cool side. I enjoy my meals hot and it was very busy as it was Valentine’s Day so this must have affected it however the wait staff was wonderful

Diner Review №155

Best Thai food in the valley of you ask me!

Diner Review №156

Drinks were perfect.
Thai lemon drop is delicious
Pantera rosa is not boring

Had excellent vegan appetizers

Staff was great
Thank you !

Diner Review №157

We were really looking forward to having a late lunch here but unfortunately never even got to try the food. 3 other tables were sat after us and were all attended while no one ever came to us. We waited a bit and while we were literally next booth over from where the waitress was we still weren't even acknowledged or told it will be a minute. It wasn't busy either so we ended up leaving. I've never had that happen before and found it a bit ridiculous.

Diner Review №158

We ordered 2: The potstickers were delish, steamed and flash fried for a light crunch. So so good! They had a red sauce drizzled on them and were served with shaved carrot and soy sauce. The cornfritters were absolutely scrumptious! Served with cashews, diced peppers and mango. I ordered the panang curry with seared tilapia, crab and lots of vegetables -medium spice level 3 was perfect! Spiced to a savory perfection! I loved the bowl of sweetened coconut rise- perfect for soaking up the curry. Not much crab though so don’t get too excited about that. The crab was fresh and tasty, could’ve eaten a lot more of it. My friend got the padgra’paw -unfortunately it was served with a ground meat that they didn’t ask for. The only addition they asked for was mango which was delicious meaty (no pun intended) chunks of it. The margarita I ordered was unremarkable. The coconut banana dessert with ice cream on the side was unique, won’t be dreaming about returning for that though. Would return here for the appetizers and curry sauces. Friendly server. The bathroom sink was unusual so I took pics & video (lol). The place is a bit pricey (pricier than similar places in my home state of RI).

Diner Review №163

This place has gone downhill over the years it seems… White Orchid use to be a go to spot for special occasions with my family, but based upon my last two visits I can confidently say this place just isn’t the same.

Prices are EXTREME for what you get - place gives the impression it’s going to be something elevated but it’s just unfanciful Thai dishes at jacked up prices. Interior of the restaurant hasn’t been touched in 15 years of going here, basically a diner with Bruce Springsteen over the radio. The last straw was waiting an hour for just entrees for four people my most recent visit. Food is fine but not worth the price.

Have continued to try and give this place a go hoping for the days I remember 10+ years ago but I’m afraid they are long past.

Diner Review №164

We come to this restaurant about 4 times a year. Never disappointed. Great relaxing decor. Food is excellent. Must try Mango Curry Roast Duck. Duck cuisine at its best. Red, Green and Panang curry is exceptional. Finish with Mango with sticky rice or Carrot cake.

Was there 12/31/2022. Service was great by Heidi. Manager walked around to make sure everyone had everything they needed.

Diner Review №166

I would normally have great things to say about this restaurant. They have amazing food. However, I'm frustrated and saddened with their lack of consideration. Their parking out front is always full. I'm a 7mo pregnant mom who had a sleeping toddler in the car. I called ahead and told the hostess my situation to see if they could possibly walk my order out to my car so I wouldn't have to wake up and bring in my 2yo (from all the way around the building) Considering the fact that they make you prepay for take out orders, the only thing I needed to do was sign and pick up my order. They made it clear that they don't do curbside. I understand that this is their policy, but I was hoping for a little understanding and common decency considering it being a difference of 8ft for them to do so. I understand they don't need to do anything if it's not their policy, but the lack of empathy and dignity has me disgusted. They've now lost a loyal customer.

Great food. Great staff. The server spent some time talking to us instead of just taking our order and delivering our food. I wish that it was closer so I could go more frequently.

Diner Review №170

delicious food, wonderful cocktails, friendly staff!

Diner Review №171

I wish I could give zero stars. I’ve been here a handful of times and every single time I am disappointed with the service and food. However, today was genuinely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had here. Our waitress Heidi never came to check on us. She took our order and never once came back unless we asked somebody else to find her. We asked her for refills multiple times and she never once got our drinks. We had to track her down again for drinks and the bill! After we placed our order, we waited an hour and a half for our food! All we ordered was 3 sides of rice, a salad, and one curry. I genuinely considered cancelling the entire order and going somewhere else. Save your money and go to Komé up the street for way better service and food! I will never come back here or recommend this place to anyone looking for an enjoyable dining experience.

Diner Review №172

12/2022 Delicious. The best calamari I have ever had. I had it for dinner as well as my appetizer!
Entrees are pricey but apps are affordable as well as the pad Thai dishes.

Diner Review №173

So great to know my husband and I have a restaurant we can go to whenever we come down to visit the promenade! It was our first visit and we had Perry as our server. He was very kind and attentive! Our food was delicious as well. My husband got the Pad Thai and added beef to it while I got the crab fried rice. You get the option of spice level for both dishes but we chickened out and got zero spice. Just leaves us the opportunity to try spice during our next visit! 😉

Diner Review №184

Not cheap but omg yum. Hands down, the absolute best crabcakes I have had in a very long time (appetizer). The food was amazing, the service was on point, and it was just a lovely experience. If you go with the lunch menu & no booze, you're looking at $40-50. Order from the full menu and you're easily going to double that. Lots of gluten free options, too! (Though sadly the crabcakes are not among them.)

Diner Review №185

I've eaten here a few times, and the food is always good. There are various gluten-free options listed clearly on the menu, but you do need to request that the items be made gluten-free, so speak with your sever.
The Pork Belly Satay is listed as "gluten-free" on the menu, but when I asked my server about it they said it was only "gluten friendly" as it may have shared equipment. However the sever double checked with the kitchen and confirmed the dish was gluten-free. The Pork Belly Satay was delicious, and a large enough portion that I had leftovers to take home.
I also ordered the Thai Coconut Soup - Tom Kah with tofu, and found this dish too sweet to finish (I normally like sweet things), but it did keep me warm while I sat in the outdoor patio.

Definitely worth stopping here while in the area, especially while shopping at the outdoor mall.

The wings in red curry sauce were SO CRISPY and flavorful. Moneybags and the panang curry always on point. The Sober as a Bird drink was tasty and strong. The sweet chili sauce and peanut curry sauce are the best for dipping. Love it here.

I'm editing my original post from 8 years ago because this place has changed for the worst. I've held off on changing my review for awhile now but no longer. WO has been a special place for my wife as we shard our first date here 11 years ago. In the past year we've been here 3 times and each visit there's something that wasn't as good as it use to be. This time the wings, soup, and the Pad Thai were all a disappointment, sadly.
Original post. Always a treat. My girl & i have been here a dozen times...Service can be slow but the food is spot on every time.

Diner Review №199

Excellent quality curries! Spiced just right at level 3 for the Red & 4 for the Panang ❤️
The corn fritters were very nicely done as was the special curried roasted cauliflower. We had a Cilantro Gimlet that was one of the best we've ever tasted, and The Orchid which includes a botanical gin and crème de violet, it was just lovely.
Our waiter Quinn was very attentive and really made excellent suggestions.
It was so nice to be able to truly enjoy quality Thai with my son (something we really missed after moving here from the DC Metro Region)!
