Thai cuisine
This place is phenomenal! The server was super considerate and made sure food was okay for me with my allergies. The prices are also totally reasonable and the food was absolutely delicious! It's clearly a small business that puts a lot of time and consideration into their food.
Oh and the way the pineapple fried rice was plated in a pineapple was so cool!
So amazing! It’s a simple mom and pop restaurant. My parents have gone there for a long time then told me about it. It’s such a simple amazing place.
The food is amazing and so worth every penny. The food comes out in a timely manner and always is timed perfectly. Never was I sold cold food(unless it was supposed to be cold) and I was never served food I needed to send back.
The staff is so kind and friendly and has an upbeat attitude. Cleanliness is on point and ever since COVID hit it’s been easy to know what and what not to do. The menu is fully online/digital. And dining in is such a calming and nice treat.
Would recommend you eat there for dine in or take out! Amazing for catering and amazing for small family meetings.
I wasn't feeling well. I needed a good spicy soup. I called and asked for the coconut chicken soup w/out coconut milk, but it must have galangal. They made it perfectly. It's spicy, delicious and I'm sure I'll be feeling better soon.
Wife and I had lunch here on a Tuesday. We both got the lunch special, which comes with a soup, appetizer and entree. Very reasonable for the price. Wife ordered the lemongrass soup (excellent), Thai dumplings (very good), and red curry (very good). I ordered the coconut soup (excellent), Buddha dumplings (good), and massaman curry (very good). Service was excellent (it was a very light crowd). Overall, I would recommend this place to friends and family.
Pho was great here. Also had my first Thai iced tea and I think I am hooked. But really though, every time I have eaten at this restaurant I've been consistently impressed, give them a shot, you will not be disappointed.
One of the best Thai food I had around Philadelphia. It's a small and quiet place but offers some very tasty recipes. Tried the Pineapple Friend Rice and Panang Veg along with Buddha Dumpling. All very very nicely cooked and rich in flavor! Will definitely recommend to try the deserts as well; I had tropical island that's basically coconut ice cream and friend banana (kind of banana spring rolls). Entree's rates are little bit on higher side but aligned with quality.
I had a delightful dining experience last night at the Thai orchid. The staff was so welcoming and nice. The owner went out of his way to check that they had decaffeinated tea for me which I greatly appreciated. The experience was genuinely refreshing. Then the food came out. The green curry was amazing! So creamy with outstanding flavor. The spice level was just right. Not to hot it was uncomfortable to eat, but just enough to make me sweat a little. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant

First time we had Thai food and it was delicious. Nice restaurant and the service was great.
The food, the staff are amazing!
I love this wonderful restaurant!
The food is great. Service is good and it's not crowded or noisy.
Really good dinner, definitely coming back!

Hi! We order-in and it is excellent. We were originally ordering through door dash and when a dish in our order was forgotten, they drove it to us in under 15 minutes. Really appreciate the service. Highly recommend.
The food is very fresh and tasty. Highly recommendable.
Absolutely wonderful.. The owner Tom greeted us with smiles & warm hospitality… The food is very tasteful & made to perfection . Thankyou Thai Orchid for excellent dinner . Hope to see you again soon. Def encourage to sit & eat for a full experience, this is better then your average Thai restaurant

Got takeout for lunch
Pad Thai was dry and barely edible
Almost $18 and we threw it away
Not happy
BYOB place. Food was decent, but very pricey for the portion size.
Food is an hour late. Goes straight to voice-mail
We went as a fairly large group with four small children. I would first like to mention that the restaurant is not built to serve large parties, but the owner went out of his way to make things work, which was awesome.
Not only that, he suggested dishes that the kids would enjoy and even took the spice out of some of the dishes.
We ordered the spring rolls, sweet and sour fried fish, fried dumplings, green curry and a few other dishes. THEY WERE ALL AMAZING. The seasoning was perfect and delicious and very much close to what one may have in Thailand. The kids loved the chicken satay and pineapple fried rice.
I'm so glad they're in our neighborhood because I'm going to be ordering deliver from them pretty often now.
Good overall experience! Mango sticky rice was delicious.
Family owned restaurant may be. The service was great! Their food was tasty as well. Their pineapple fried rice was served on a pineapple.
I ordered 3 drunken noodles and all i got is mushy combination of chicken and noodles. The noodles were extremely overcooked. Very very disappointed. We literally had to cook to dinner at home as nobody was able to eat this take out.
Excellent!
Definitely one of the better Thai restaurants in the main line
Great little Thai in the Berwyn shopping center
Best Thai
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. High quality food and good service. Wait is usually not long and their food is always with it.
Awesome spicy cusines...
Fantastic Thai cuisine and great service
Vegetarian drunken noodle was awful. The sauce was terrible ... I hope I don’t get food poisoning. I Will NEVER get anything here again.
First time trying this restaurant. I understand it’s a tough time for restaurants right now but the take out was disappointing. The Pad Thai beef had very little beef; you basically pay $16 for a pile of noodles. Now is not the time to short change your customers. We remember.
Very good, even though I was there only customer at the time.
Moved here from LA. Thai food in the PHL suburbs seems difficult to find. This one place stands out. Superb food. Great via Grubhub. The menu has chicken basil but I like beef and basil and they very gladly accommodate. I don't drink alcohol so the BYOB part is cool with me. Also, sometimes eat at the restaurant. Small, quaint ambience adds to the great taste of the food which is authentic Thai to make this a four star place.

I called to purchase some food for lunch and was yelled at by the lady on the phone, gave a loud sigh up and hurry and told me to order when I was literally about to tell her my order. Horrible customer service. I understand that Thai people have a saving face culture and do those kinds of things, but this was almost aggressive. Go to Veekoo next door to them instead, trust me.
Best place for Thai in Berwyn! I’ve gotten a number of things from Thai Orchid and have enjoyed all of them. I highly recommend the Evil Jungle Princess. It is spicy and delicious! The food is always cooked perfectly. The employees are very kind also. Definitely worth checking out if you’ve never been.
Excellent thai food. I had Panang curry duck. It was cooked perfectly. The curry flavor was fantastic.

I had the green curry and it was just the right amount of spiciness! Hot enough to leave a lasting burn, but not so much that it was overpowering. The lemongrass soup was delicious as well! Will definitely be coming back.
I would give them a 5* but they are either closed or don't answer the phone. I love the Crying Tiger, Crispy Rolls, Pad Thai and Dumplings.
They are the closest to the Thai Restaurants I experienced Atlanta where there is a large Thai community. I do hope they haven't shut down.
Pretty disappointing first experience. Ordered a Pad Thai and a Red Curry for delivery through Door Dash.
The Pad Thai reminded me a lot of bad American Chinese flavors; not much taste to it beyond salt and somehow tasted like straight vinegar instead of more robust tang.
The Red Curry came with the promise of "Spicy." Literally the first sentence in the description, but the heat was non existent. Worst part by far was how runny the curry was; it was nothing more than broth. I ended up dumping all my rice in it and still had runny Thai soup. The vegetables had a good texture - not too firm and not too soft, but they didn't meld with the dish at all. Felt as though they filled a to-go container with broth then tossed in boiled chicken and veggies then sent it out the door before cooking it.
Truly confused about all the "best Thai food around" comments. Please say it ain't so!
Service is good and food is excellent .Cooked fresh and piping hot .Always a pleasure dining here .
Tonight was my first time at this restaurant, I got take out and it was excellent. Service was great, they are very kind people. I will definitely be back !!
Best Thai food in the region. Awesome!
Best Thai food in the area. Not a great ambience but it's the taste that makes me visit again and again. A must try for all Thai food lovers.
My favorite for Thai food. Very nice atmosphere and wonderful service. Highly recommend stopping in if you like Thai food
Their hours are posted incorrectly online.
I highly recommended this restaurants due to it's great food, good prices and very friendly staff.
Worst experience I've ever had! I will never dine at this restaurant ever again. The owner insisted that Thai food was far superior to Vietnamese food, so I decided to give it a try. First of all, the place is freezing. I've been there three times, and all instances the heat was completely turned off, the waitress was even using a space heater. The first time I stopped in for take-out, but I was too sure about the menu because it was my first time there. The waitress had no interest in suggesting any entrees to someone who had never eaten there before. So I left. I decided to give the place another try. My boyfriend and I went there for a short lunch date. It turned out the food was pretty good, but the waitress was extremely rude. I mean, she has absolutely no manners. So we left without tipping her. Today, I decided to visit the restaurant again because I'm low on cash and the food is pretty cheap. The food and prices brought me back, NOT THE SERVICE! Well again, when I walked in. The waitress was applying makeup foundation on the restaurant floor in a mirror. I wasn't surprised because she has no restaurant etiquette. I just chose a table and pulled out my laptop to work on a few items while I ate. The entire time I was eating the waitress would go back to the kitchen and there was alot of yelling and commotion going on. When I was ready to leave, I walked up to the waitress stand to pay instead of waiting at my seat. I settled my bill with a credit card because as I mentioned I was low on cash this month. Well, the waitress stopped and said " I don't know if you know but it is policy to tip the wait staff." I was shocked! Here was the world's worst waitress demanding a tip. Then she continued to state that "I should just add the tip on my card!" I thought to myself, why should I borrow $2 plus interest from the bank to tip you after horrible service. Although I was disgusted with the service, I reasoned with myself about breaking my utility bill money to tip her. I thought maybe she having a worst time this month with her finances then I am, so I decided to be a good person and sacrifice a few bucks. Well the waitress started to calculate her own tip! I stop her dead her tracks. I said "Ma'am I know to calculate 20%! My meal came to $11.67, rightfully I only owed her $2.20, but I gave her $5 to satisfy this tip and the last one. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN AND I SUGGEST YOU DON'T EITHER!
Delicious massaman beef curry and pineapple fried rice, served in the pineapple! Best Thai around. Courteous staff, great service. Will definitely be coming back!
Delicious quaint thai restaurant. Love the chicken coconut soup and Thai Basil (if you like spice)
awesome thai food
We love the food at Thai Orvhid. After two years of living in center city we still venture out to Berwyn just to grab lunch! It's that good!!
Decent food, rude staff ruined the entire experience
I've visited a few times now and each time feels like home. The staff is very friendly and treats you like you're in their kitchen. The food is delicious with unique flavors.
The drunken noodles were not hot (temp), the portion size was terrible, the service was horrible and most importantly the food did not taste good. Way too overpriced for what you're getting here.
Great Massaman Curry and Pad Thai
The best thai food in the area, friendly staff and a small place.
Really delicious dinner. The soup was excellent and had the massaman Curry which was perfectly spiced and very flavorful. The bill was incredibly reasonable. We'll definitely be going back!
I have had many dinners here over many years. They recognize my family and know our orders by memory. Very good curries, seafood, tofu. They make it as spicy as I want. Friendly staff. You will find me here at least once a month.
This is our go-to Thai restaurant. Dependable quality, especially duck and lamb dishes, with good prices. It is a BYOB.
Not worth the money! Even basic Thai food items like coconut milk soup and pineapple fried rice are NOT tasty. In pineapple fried rice, I need to look very closely for very small pieces pineapple. I will not visit this restaurant again!
Pad thai was horrible. Missed the mark by alot and wasn't cheap.
