Wow, where to begin. The pork was tender and flavorful. The papaya salad was so fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I haven't had Thai food like this since being in Thailand. This isn't a watered down version of Thai cuisine. It's authentic. Give it a try.

Let me start off by saying that the Thai Lime Tea and the Grilled Pork are fantastic and I definitely plan on ordering them again. The customer service is great, the location is convenient, and I love having another Thai restaurant to choose from.

The only dish that wasn’t what I hoped it would be was my favorite soup ever, Tom Kha Gai. The soup here definitely tasted like sweet coconut, but it was missing the other flavors I love about Tom Kha Gai soup such as lime, chilis, and fish sauce. Overall though, the curry and grilled pork were amazing and we will definitely be coming back!

Later in the evening. They told me to stay warm in my car and brought me my order. The Moo Ping. There are only so many ways to perfectly prepare food. This is one of them. My only regret is forgetting to ask for a side of the tamarind sauce. My failure

Good food. I always get the peanut curry. I would say the customer service is decent. I had ordered a pick up order and had someone pick it up because I’m sick. And they said there was no order under the name so they left and I called and asked why they said there was no order under that name when I just ordered 30 mins ago. They are really nice people who make delicious, authentic Thai food for very affordable prices. In particular, the BBQ Pork Special #1 is just ridiculously good, and it is my favorite Thai dish, period, which says a lot. Their peanut curry is my wife's favorite. Look no further if you like Thai and want to support local businesses.

Food was delicious! Meat served hot and fresh off the grill. The salad was very tasty, the sauce perfect and the rice was just the way I like it. The staff were very helpful and kind. Went out to personally help a handicapped person who drove up so that he wouldn't need to get out of the car. Highly recommend it!

A buddy told me about this spot, and we finally got a chance to try it out. Decided on the Moo Ping "grilled pork", Neau Ping "grilled steak" and a spicy papaya salad. Everything was excellent!!! Went with medium spicy on the papaya salad, and was really good. Never had it before. The grilled meats are super tasty, with the lime dipping sauce. Steak was tender and seasoned well, along with the pork. I'd definitely recommend stopping by, you won't regret it.

Amazing food and service. The sauces are very flavourful. When I asked for something spicy on the side, they brought me red chili's, as well as their own home made chili powder. The peanut curry is delicious. The fresh garden rolls are so perfect and the pork in them was very flavorful. We are only in Oregon for a couple days, wish we could be here longer to eat this every day!

Big Blue Thai BBQ is Outstanding. I was lured over to Big Blue by simply driving by & smelling the aroma that wafted out from that tiny blue food trailer. I met the owner Ray & his lovely wife and now I go out of my way whenever I'm in Salem to grab a bite to eat. I bring a friend along when I can so they can experience the same enjoyment that I do. My go to is Beef Skewers and Blue/Green Curry Soup(I'm pretty sure that's what it's called). I bought the curry soup for a friend of mine on one of these visits, she texted me later and said: "Holy Hell that's G*d*mn good". Lol. If you read this Ray, this is Damon the transport driver. Really delicious. Somewhat high prices, but that's the standard these days. I recommend getting the lunch serving of the BBQ Pork. The dinner portion comes with a large papaya and arugula salad, while the lunch size has a small side salad. Same size meat and rice. The spice level is about perfect. Hot enough to add a lot of flavor, but not so hot you have a runny nose and need water between bites. High end flavor, probably not great for people who can't handle heat.

Okayyyy can we please just take a minute and juuuuuuuuust😩 Y'all when I say that this plate is blessed, it's not an exaggeration. The Thai grilled pork plate was highly marinated and flavored. Whatever, just get here and order something you won't be disappointed 🌊🚣🌊

When I was stationed in Guam my buddy and I would surf the boat basin on the weekends and when we finished for the day, there were all these food trailers lining the parking lot. We were starving after surfing all morning, and the smell wafting off of the grills from those trailers was irresistible. The food they made was so fresh, delicious and nourishing. Really, really good. And the people were local, friendly and proud of the work they put out. This place is like that. Highly recommend.

This might be the best bbq in town- it certainly is one of Salem's best-kept secrets! My 12 yo can't stop talking about how good the bbq pork was- fresh off the grill, juicy, with the perfect amount of char.... the kind of bbq that makes you emotional.
I can't stop thinking about the Thai iced tea, and we fought over the sweet mango sticky rice (after my son at his, he ate half of mine). We will be going back regularly. Thank you!

The rice is great, but the price for a plate is too high for what it's worth. If you're into sour game flavor, I say go for it, but not for me. Everything is fresh, but the fermented taste overtook my tongue. Maybe I'm just not use to authentic Thai BBQ palet.

Figured a food truck would be a safer option to get take out during a pandemic but was incredibly disappointed to pull up and find that no employees were wearing masks and interacting with customers who also weren’t wearing masks. No Thai bbq is good enough to risk getting COVID.

Ate here for the first time today. I had the BBQ chicken skewers. It was sooooo good! The chicken was good, the salad and dressing was good and of course the steamed rice was perfect. I work about a mile and a half from here, so I'll be eating here at least once a week.

When Big Blue Thai BBQ came into my radar, I already had a favorite Salem area restaurant. But this is hands down the best food I have ever had.

They weren't wearing masks or enforcing social distancing during the pandemic. I understand it makes it uncomfortable to breathe but a mandate is a mandate and you lost a family's business.

Wow, flavor was amazing in every dish! Tom Kha soup is unlike any other I've tasted, creamy and delicious. Thai Sausage is smoky, spicy and savory. Blue Thai is a gem. The folls are so nice and the food is off the hook. I’m from out of town and come to Salem often to visit family. Blue Thai is always a highlight meal that we all look forward to enjoying together.

Green papaya salad may not sound delicious, but it is and Big Blue Thai Barbecue does it right! Their chicken satay is also a favorite of mine and their grilled ribs are amazing! This is my go to place for Thai food since they opened. The owners are kind and generous and always remember my name. The food is outstanding and and so is the service.

This place does it right. They don't have a massive menu with every thai dish available, but they do have a smaller list of perfect 5/5 items. I would much rather a place choose a few perfect dishes, than have a ton of sub-par options. Their pork is wonderful.

Delicious, fresh, perfectly cooked, this is a true rare find! Happened to stop here - hungry, tired, zeroed out - and I enjoyed the meal so throughly that I not only left recharged but joyful. Had to order seconds. Owned and operated by a super sweet family. If they were local, I wouldn't be able to stay away. I think about this place. Plans to branch out?

I was blown away by this place. The flavors are authentic and deep. Better food than almost all sit down Thai restaurants I've been to. I will come back for sure. Delicious.

Best peanut sauce I've had in a long time!

Ridiculously good. I had the $9 BBQ pork plate for lunch and I'm blown away. Simple meat, veggies, & rice but the flavors combined with the tamarind sauce make it incredible. Highly recommend!

This place was Ahhh-mazing! I've never been before and when the woman working found out, she started giving me samples of sausages to try and showing me what the food portions look like :-) While I was waiting for our food to cook, I googled the place and read an article about it and realized that the people working were the owners! How cool is that, they are hands-on in their business and so friendly. Food was great too! I saw a few reviews here that it was pricey, but I wouldn't say it was too bad. We ordered two entrees (ribs and sausage), an appetizer (Coconut shrimp) and two drinks (thai tea and soda) and with a tip, it came in under $40. That's no different than any other restaurant and the food here was DELICIOUS.

I love the spicy pork salad, but really everything I have eaten at this place is delicious, I have followed the cart since they were on silverton road unfortunately I have to drive to south salem to get my fix on some delicious Thai food, but it's worth the trip I have never been dissatisfied with the service or food quality

This is easily my favorite place to eat in Salem. The food is amazing, health, and fresh. The owners and staff are always friendly and just all around great people. Highly recommended.
