Thai Yummy has hands down been the best Thai food I have ever had in PDX. It has a cozy atmosphere with immaculate customer experience. I would give up my first unborn child for a single order of the spicy wings. I also heavily recommend the yellow curry, spicy basil fried rice, and crab rangoons— but the list goes on and on. This place is extremely underrated and deserves all the hype!

We got Pad Thai and salad rolls. Those salad rolls with the peanut sauce are probably my new favorite thing. So fresh and the lettuce was super crisp. I got an extra sauce based on some reviews, but one was generous enough for two rolls.

Can’t recommend this place enough. The drive down through Forest Park was lovely too making the entire venture just what I needed.

Excellent food that is under priced for its quality. Everything is delicious. Medium is too spicy for me but they make a mild+ that is perfect. Pad Ginger is my favorite with eggplant mania a close 2nd. The owner Jason is very personable and has a fantastic attitude. They close at 5:30 so get there for lunch or an early dinner. You won’t be disappointed.

Hidden gem in SW Portland frequented by the OHSU crowd. The owner might be the kindest person in town. It’s hard to set yourself apart in a city with so many great Thai options, but Thai Yummy remains at the top of my list. The pad Thai and eggplant special with tofu are my personal favorites, but you can’t miss with anything on the menu. Very budget friendly, with generous portions. I truly don’t know how the pull it all off.

This place seems like a pillar for the OHSU community. Food was great and Jason truly went out of his way to give me a great experience on an otherwise hard day. Give them a try, they deserve it.

When I started working at the hospital on the hill. I kept hearing about the Thai Chart. I finally tried it and they did not disappoint. I had the salad rolls first but honestly the peanut sauce ( I always buy extra) was what really won me over. The Thai tea is the perfect sweetness!! Then enter TOM KAH soup yummmm, when I’m feeling icky or it’s freezing out here in pdx it’s always my go to and it is still delisted warmed up the next day. Jason who owns the cart with his wife is usually at the register and very personable and funny. You have to try it!

I am lucky enough to live across the street and I come here all the time. Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had, and always end up laughing and having a good conversation.

I love this place. Since beginning working up on Marquam Hill almost two years ago, I've had an opportunity to try most of the items on the Thai Yummy menu--everything I've ordered has been delicious and the customer service is exceptional.

The food was delicious, I had a cashew nut stir fry and my wife had a chicken pad Thai both a solid 10/10. The guy at the counter was also very friendly and it was a close walk from OHSU.

Great little food cart. I had the pad see ew with tofu. Delicious with just the right amount of heat. Very large portion and a very reasonable price. The owner was working the window and he was super nice and friendly and funny. Close to OHSU. I'm glad their Cafe was closed. I highly recommend this little gem.

I worked at OHSU and ate Thai Yummy at least every week. I still think this is the best Thai in Portland. Totally worth the trek up Marquam Hill.

This legendary lunch spot is a favorite of community members and OHSU employees. The food is phenomenal and generally less expensive than other dining options on the hill -- including the OHSU cafeteria which has much worse fare, making it a great option for employees or patients who don't mind a short walk.

Includes many Thai classics such as Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, as well less common dishes. I particularly like the Pad Woon Sen, which is loaded with delicious veggies and perfectly fried glass noodles. The salad rolls are practically famous and sell out quickly. Plenty of options for vegetarians, and spice level can be adjusted up or down as necessary. Beverage options include Thai coffee and Thai Ice Tea, which are pleasantly sweet without being overpowering.

Staff is friendly and attentive. I've been dining here for 3+ years and when there has been a mistake (rare) it was quickly fixed. Service is quite quick except at peak hours where wait times can get up to 20 minutes or so.

Overall one of the best (if not the best) options for dining on Marquam Hill.

Jason, the owner is a riot. So funny. You'll have a laughing good time for sure. His Pad Thai is phenomenal. I love the shrimp one. Shrimp as big as my thumb. Even halfway in I'm so full I could go a day without eating. His Oo la la wings are wonderfully messy and slightly spicy. Quite a surprise.

Literally everything that has been suggested exceeds expectations but I’ve mainly stuck to the Pad Woon Sen with tofu and peanut sauce. 😋 it’s the best I’ve ever had! If you like mango sticky rice try this mango drink or you can’t go wrong with a Thai tea either.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST THAI FOOD I'VE EVER HAD!! Missing it from NY unfrotunately. Jason was the best and I had to stop myself from spending so much money here last summer at OHSU. The chicken pad thai was amazing and I haven't had a better thai tea in portland. Need to visit again for a summer, missing it a ton.

I’ve eaten at many Asian restaurants in my life, and I’m struggling to remember any Asian food experience like Thai Yummy. Yeah, I know…a food cart, right?

I have no idea how they make the food this good, but they do! It’s hands down the best Thai I’ve ever eaten, and quite possibly the best Asian food as well. (My wife is Asian, so I’m very familiar with great Asian food).

Work and live up here and this is probably one of my favorite places to grab food at in the Portland Area. Always tastes amazing, the staff are wonderful, and the thai coffee is delicious. Delicious food, big portions, great price, quick service, amazing staff - you literally couldn't ask for anything better. I usually call ahead and ask for pick up, never more than 15 or so minutes but it can get a little busy just on the corner there since it's so popular!

Hands down the best salad rolls in town!

This place is the BEST. If you're on Marquam Hill/around OHSU and need food there is absolutely nowhere better to go than Thai Yummy. I have seen several Thai places with sit-down seating open and fail on the hill simply because they can't compare to the quality, quantity, and affordability of the food here. Everything on their menu is excellent, especially the Pad Krua Gai, Pad See-Ew, and Pad Woon Sen. Also, their "Ooh La La" Wings are absolutely outstanding. Places that specialize in wings don't hold a candle to them. I would give 7 stars if I could.

If you're reading this and wondering, "Hmm, should I (we) go here..." the answer is yes. Yes, your search is over. Make the trip to Thai Yummy. Especially if you're new to OHSU. Portland has tons of good Thai food places, but Thai Yummy is the best. It's sort of a hidden gem because although it's well-known at OHSU, it's the lone food truck up on the hill so a lot of Portlandians don't make the trip up. You should.

I've been coming here for almost 5 years, I've ordered everything from the Basil Fried Rice to the Pad Prik King to the Yellow Curry and they're all fantastic. By far my favorite is the Pineapple Fried Rice (w/ chicken, spice level: medium plus). It is literally my favorite meal in Portland. The chicken is delicious and tender, the initial spiciness from the rice is countered with the tanginess of the pineapples, followed by a hit of sweetness from the raisins and soft cashew nuts (and I don't even like nuts in my food) and a final hit of spiciness from the crunch of flavored onions. All in one bite.

This place is great! We live in Eugene but my wife and daughter found this Thai shop near OHSU a couple years ago year. This was my first time and I ordered the barbecue pork fried rice and loved the fresh flavor. My son got the same but without the onions and they were happy to cater to his mild spice request. My wife had the Pad Woon Sen and thought the sauce on the noodles is the best she's found in Oregon! My daughter got the Pra Ram with chicken and a big side of peanut sauce. She especially loved the fresh carrots and the peanut sauce. We also ordered a side of spring rolls and it came with a side of plum sauce. It came with 4 rolls, one for each of us. For drinks, my wife got a Thai iced tea and my daughter got a Thai lime tea that she thought was fantastic! The Thai lime tea, I think, is a drink we haven't found at any other Thai place. You have got to try this place!

I was craving Chinese food and couldn't find any good places that had the kind of food I wanted, I came here instead and It was even better, my tummy was really happy, plus the view of Mount Helen and Hood knocks other restaurants out of the park.

This is the BEST Thai food in Portland area. Food is always spot on flavor. Plenty for the low cost. Wonderful cook and nicest owner. Can't say enough except wish it closer to home.

Ok, just moved here and I'm starting to get addicted to Thai Yummy. It is truly amazing that they can make everything out of such a tiny food "truck".

The soups look great, but I have been working my way through the fried rice and noodle dishes. All have been solid. I love spice and "hot" has been plenty. "Extra spicy" could cause you some pain.

I recommend calling in your order 10-20 minutes before you will be there, especially during the lunch rush.

Everyone who works here is so friendly and kind. Their Pad Thai is made with fresh, quality ingredients. Just so happens to be conveniently located 5 feet from one of my top 3 dispensaries in Portland. Food is fresh and satisfying. I don't feel so guilty, indulging a bit when I come here. Def recommend

The Pad woon sen is FANTASTIC! Thai Yummy does wonderful noodle dishes and has great people. My favorite carry out only restaurant. Avoid going on the hour to miss OHSU meal break rushes.

I've only eaten here once so far but I just know this is my new favorite spot. The Pad Thai was delicious with the vegetables and tofu and the Salad Rolls were so fresh. Be careful with the spicy levels though, it just might ruin the food for you.

One of my go-to thai places in town. Great family owned business with fast and friendly service right by OHSU. The prices are great for the portion and always satisfies my hunger. My favorite dishes are the Tom Kha Soup, eggplant mania, green curry, pad kee mao, Salad rolls with peanut sauce and thai tea. I have had many other dishes that are also all delicious and very fresh. This Thai food is YUMMY! I had the fried rice with pork. It came hot, and plenty of it. It was raining and the employee brought it out to my truck. Very thoughtful of them. Parking isn't the greatest but the food makes up for it.

Here to leave the perspective of a Marquam Hill neighbor rather than an OHSU employee or a trail hiker. Jason and his cart are an essential part of our neighborhood. He is seeing our children grow. He knows the families. He knows who likes it spicy and who likes it mild. We are fortunate to have one of the best Thai food option in town right next door.

Visit this place if you're hiking the 4T trail. Better than the place across the street. This one has weird hours and is take away only but the food is fantastic. The guy taking orders is very outgoing and sweet. He usually talks to all the patrons while they're waiting for their food to come out.

A combination of good food, good people and good prices make Thai Yummy our favorite take-out in Portlans. Having lived all over the place I spend a lot of time and money searching for "authentic". Solid Thai food stand only a short walk from OHSU. Nothing here will blow your mind, but they do the classics fairly well, and quite fast. Very reasonably priced, even with the recent increase, and a single entree is always enough for 2 lunches. Very friendly to boot!

The owner here is such an amazing host, very personable and always a pleasant interaction. Hard worker who thinks of his customers first. And... he loves reggae music! If that weren't enough, the food is fantastic: well flavored and well priced. Can't do better for great Thai food so close to work.

This place is the bomb. The food is perfect and delicious (they sell out on the peanut sauce every day), the prices are unbeatable ($7 for what should last me two meals but I have no self control), the owner is super friendly, and they will accommodate a whole litany of diets.

Thai Yummy is one of the last surviving things in Portland that still feels authentic, genuine, and awesome.

Wow, been living near this place for 8 months and finally tried it today. Delicious Thai food for an amazing price. I got the pad kee mao and it ranked up there with good brick and mortar Thai places that would have charged $4-$5 more.

Friendly staff, sturdy strong to-go containers, generous with condiments (serve yourself) and even some cold lemon water as I waited on a hot day. Can’t wait to try other items on their menu. Highly recommend. Yummy!
