please do better with professionalism. Turning the machine around aggressively, demanding a tip on a take out order. It’s a good gesture but not required. Be kind, listen to your customer on why they couldn’t leave a tip that day. You lost not one but 6 customers that day for the rudeness. Thank you for your service. Food is great that’s why we always came back. But please do better with communicating in a nicer way. My coworker should’ve never felt awful about herself that day.

Tried a bunch of new dishes and they were all so good!

Diner Review №4

I'm just giving a shout out to this restaurant. I went there today with a friend and we both had such wonderful tasty meals and service! They have quite a large menu with so much to pick from. I'll definitely be going back!

Diner Review №5

Small very relaxing and off course awesome food. Very kind, very professional. BEAWARE THEY SPICE ON POINT, so when your asked spicy 1-5. Pay attention.

Diner Review №6

I love Thai sky kitchen. I usually order for pick up as it is in my neighborhood and I get it lunch for a special treat when I’m working from home - Their pad khee mao yakisoba and salad rolls are absolutely delicious. It brightens my day!

Diner Review №7

Pretty good Thai food better than average I'd say.

Diner Review №8

A really lovely little place. They are always friendly and the decor is welcoming.

Tonight I was disappointed because I ordered a Tom Yum soup with coconut, noodles and shrimp. Unfortunately I received chicken instead. And I am one of the few people in America that is a meat eater and doesn’t really care for chicken. And there wasn’t much coconut milk either. I pulled all the chicken out and gave it to my wife.

She got chili basil with chicken and liked it. She gave it a 4.2 out of 5. I think the food wasn’t quite as good as it has been but it’s still worth eating here - especially for their lunch plates.

The tofu salad rolls were fat and delicious. Very good peanut sauce. Maybe the best I’ve had in town!

Diner Review №9

I ordered take out thru Uber Eats and was very impressed with my meal. I ordered the green curry with soy curls. You don’t see them offered as a protein at most thai places so I had high hopes. It was absolutely delicious. I also ordered pad woon sen with tofu. It was also very tasty and packed with fresh veggies. And their tofu salad rolls are massive. I’ll be ordering from here regularly! Super vegetarian and vegan friendly.

Diner Review №10

Their Pad Thai is bomb. Consistently good food and great service.

Diner Review №14

huge w food

Diner Review №15

I ordered take out. Eggplant stir fry and yellow curry. So good! Fresh veggies, great flavor, yummy veggie options, and chicken was not over cooked. Food arrived hot and they gave us plenty of rice for both entrees. Glad I found another great spot for Thai.

Diner Review №16

Good fried rice, would definitely eat again

Diner Review №17

We stopped for lunch. Great food and service!

Diner Review №19

Delicious Thai food, unique and wonderful cocktails, cute atmosphere, friendly staff.

Diner Review №20

Thai food was delicious. My daughter got the wonton soup and loved it. I had the chicken pad Thai and it was yummy as well. My husband had the crispy basil chicken. That dish was delicious as well. Next time I will probably order that one instead. Everything was good. Service was great. I really loved that they have plates, spoons and forks for toddlers. Like the ones we would have at home. Made a mom feel good. It's the little things.

Moved into FoPo this spring and have been trying all the places nearby to find our go-to for to-go Thai. This is it. This is the place. BF says it's nice and cosy for eating in, but we've only ever ordered takeout. Great flavors, a little more complex than the average Portland Thai joint. Not the cheapest and not the hugest portions if those things matter to you, but their prices reflect their quality. Well worth it and delicious!

Diner Review №31

Best Thai take out in the city by a long shot.

Diner Review №32

Very impressed on my first visit. Ordered the Cashew Nut stir fry with chicken and it was absolutely delicious. Large portion, high quality ingredients and great service. This is my go to dish at most Thai restaurants around Portland and this one really delivered. I will definitely be back!

Diner Review №33

Always delicious and service is friendly. Been following this restaurant since it was a food cart in downtown PDX. So happy they were able to relocate to a brick and mortar and it's close to my home!

Diner Review №34

Big portions. Lasted me a few meals.

Diner Review №38

This place is amazing! Family owned, awesome people

Diner Review №39

Horrible experience. The female asked if I wanted my Pad Thai mild, medium, hot, or very hot. I said Medium. It came to me extremely spicy. I could not even eat it and I tried. After sitting there sweating for a bit the young male waiter comes to the table and asks how the food is. I said it’s too spicy. And that I couldn’t eat it. He says “Oh Sorry” and walks away. Didn’t even care! Didn’t offer to replace it for ‘mild’ or no sauce. Nothing. Just walks away like nothing. I still had to pay for it no discount. I left a full plate of pad Thai on the table for the garbage. That’s not a good way to run a business. Because of the food and interaction with the uncaring staff I will not return. And that was my third visit to this place.

Diner Review №42

Food was decent, good vegan options. Service was so-so, server seemed impatient even though we were one of two parties present. This was the first restaurant we checked out in Portland and we were surprised that restaurants here are serving hot food on melamine/plastic.

Diner Review №43

Over all everything was great. The flavors are amazing. The customer service was awesome. Down fall is the crab fried rice was full of shells. The dish I ordered was good not what I thought it was going to be. It was topped with some extremally chewy noodles. That may have just been the dish though. We will definitely be back but will order different food. Also the prices where really reasonable.

Diner Review №44

Delicious food and friendly staff.

Diner Review №45

Food was delicious! I had the salmon special, as pictured, and the salmon was perfectly crispy and the broth/sauce that permeated everything was so perfectly flavored. Jasmine rice was devine. Our waiter was very kind, especially to a group of 4 loud high schoolers.

Diner Review №46

Friendly and yummy thai food
Things you should order:
Seafood fried rice
Curry puffs
Thai sausage
Kao moo Deng (pork satay)

Diner Review №48

First time there. I picked up Laab Gai and Som Tum and asked for it "X Hot." I used to live in Thailand and am picky about Thai food. I found the laab good but not great. Too sweet for my taste and not at all spicy. Still, it was tasty and I enjoyed it. The Som Tum was quite yummy and reasonably spicy. Fresh, crispy and tasty. Good serving sizes and nice presentation. Wish they would go a little less sweet and with more fish sauce (and dried shrimp for the som tum!), but would certainly go back again. Recommended: some of the better Thai food I've had in Portland.

Diner Review №50

Excellent thai spot! The food is crafted with love. I feel like home there.

Diner Review №51

Best pad Thai / pad ke mao take out in SE portland! Glad to have found Thai Sky!!

Diner Review №52

Prompt, friendly service. Large menu. Food could be hotter (thermally).

Diner Review №53

Excellent food! The potstickers were the best I've had in months. Pad sew was very flavorful. My pickup order was ready on time, and piping hot!

Diner Review №54

We love this place and were so happy when they moved into the neighborhood. We are regulars and the food and service are perfection. Today we ordered carry out, letting the owner know we had Covid so we could arrange a distanced pick up. When we opened our food, we saw that she had put some ginger tea in along with a handwritten note. Pure gold! We already loved this place but this type of thoughtfulness goes above and beyond. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try - you will not be disappointed!

Diner Review №55

I’ve ordered from Thai Sky a dozen or so times. It’s consistently delicious, but very spicy! We usually get the “very mild” option and it’s still got a lot of heat. We don’t mind some spice but our little one can’t handle as much. I wish it could be made without making eyes water when it’s no spicy level.

Diner Review №56

Very good food at good prices! Their spot is very inviting with parking, good neighborhood spot, and filled with much devotion from the owners!

Diner Review №57

Thai Sky Kitchen is great food made by some really great people. My family eats here often, one of my favorite dishes is the pineapple fried rice, chicken, medium spicy.

Diner Review №58

Goodness, the interior decoration is phenomenal. It's so pretty and cozy. The staff are amazing and accommodating. Food was very delicious and well priced.

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

Delicious Thai food.
Pleasant surroundings.
Courteous service.

Diner Review №61

I usually love massaman curry. It’s typically full of flavor. This curry was quite tasteless, had only two peanuts, and very few vegetables despite paying for extra carrots and peas. I wanted to like this restaurant because of it’s proximity to home, but as this was my first experience, I doubt I’ll ever go back.

Diner Review №62

Buena atención al cliente, comida muy rica.

Diner Review №63

I’ve become addicted to this place. The food is always delicious and fresh. Generous portions, loads of veggies and flavor, and I never get dry noodles like other spots. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №64

Wonderful nice new Thai restaurant in the South Tabor neighborhood! The best I’ve had in a while.

Diner Review №65

Indeed, the exquisite Thai Sky Kitchen will send your tastebuds into a euphoric frenzy as you chug the pitcher of water (with a slice of lemon) to wash away the Thai hot spices from the mid-15th century Silk Road.

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

Thai Sky is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. We ordered online and did pickup - the food was ready at the stated time, and packed so that it was still fresh-out-of-the-wok hot when it made it home.
Portions were quite large, so our order turned out to be meals for two spread over multiple days. Everything reheated beautifully.
My only heads-up for visitors is to point out that Thai Sky shares a smallish parking lot with Pizzicato next door, and the layout is a one way U shaped lot with narrow parking spaces, so if you have a choice of vehicles, lean towards the smaller one.
The dining area is very nice - I'm looking forward to a time when eating indoors becomes possible again. In the meantime, this is a terrific spot for take out.

Diner Review №71

Fresh prepared food and friendly folks 😊 Ignore the complainers, this place is awesome, 5 stars!

Diner Review №72

I love the lunch specials, especially the cashew nut stir fry. The owners are wonderful people. It’s family owned. They are also one of the few businesses owned by people of color in South Tabor, and the restaurant was recently vandalized. Please support them and let them know that they are welcome and appreciated in our neighborhood!

Diner Review №73

Been really good until tonight, mushy veggies, asked for mild..hot. I understand things are kinda messed up now but....

Diner Review №74

Tofu larb and curry puffs are great! So nice to have a place close by.

Diner Review №75

I loved this place when it was a food cart by my work downtown and I was so excited to see they opened a restaurant! They have the best tofu salad rolls/peanut sauce and delicious, crispy, large veggie spring rolls. Their pineapple fried rice is my favorite!

Diner Review №76

I love thai food and this place is delicious

Diner Review №77

Oh my God. This little hidden gem in South Tabor took me too long to find. Everyone was happy. Priced like the affordable authentic Thai restaurants but the flavors and food quality was more like the higher ticket places. Look at the house specials. Order the Pork Noodle soup. Nothing in town beats it. Right on 60th and Division. Parking by Pizzacato.

Diner Review №78

Excellent food and very friendly service!

Diner Review №80

Yummy yummy! I just visited Thai Sky Kitchen for the first time this evening. I was very impressed with their food. Great portions, good prices, and the food is tasty and fresh. I had the Tofu Salad rolls and Fried Tofu, I highly recommend 👌 The peanut sauce was very good, probably one of the better ones I've had-and I eat a lot of Thai! The restaurant itself was very clean and I loved the asthetic. I can definitely see myself coming back in the near future.

Diner Review №81

They charged me twice, never refunded me.

Diner Review №82

Had a great experience with takeout from Thai Sky. The food was very flavorful and it was the best larb we’ve ever had. The curry puffs were amazing too. I like their 6-point spicy scale, which is very clear. (Very mild, mild, medium, hot, x hot, xx hot)

Diner Review №84

Consistently good. Fresh food and clean restaurant.

Diner Review №85

Love the Beef Salad! Very friendly owners, glad to have a great new place in the neighborhood!

Diner Review №86

This place has the best Thai food. Must try. The real northern part of Thailand food that's being sold are one of the best, making you feeling you are there, back in Chiangmai. The restaurant is very clean and cozy, lots if natural light. The staffs are the family that own it from the chef to your servers. They had operated tge food cart downtown since 2003 until the pandemic. The staffs are very friendly too. This one is very special.

Diner Review №87

I've been eating Nu & Jenny's food since 2003 when they opened their cart downtown and am so happy that they've made the jump to this perfect space just a few blocks from Mt. Tabor Park. Their flavors are a huge cut above the typical thai food you will find around town. Everything has balance and is never too sweet or heavy. Very bright flavors that pop and make you want more. Today we had a Panang curry with shrimp & Larb salad. Both were stellar. The Larb salad was perfectly tangy, slightly sweet & savory with just enogh heat (I ordered medium.) Kafir lime leaves, delicately sliced onion, perfectly cooked ground chicken..the juice alone from this dish is to die for! The sticky rice was perfect and soaked up those juices. The Panang curry was wonderfully balanced and delicious. The shrimp, green beans, peppers and squash were perfectly prepared. Everything, including squash which I normally don't really enjoy, was cooked to that point of still having a slight bit of firmness. Nothing over-cooked or slimy. Just perfection. Considering their flawless flavors, clean & elegant new space and very reasonable prices, there's nowhere else I'd rather go for thai food.

Diner Review №98

Very tasty food in this cozy and lovely family Thai restaurant.

Diner Review №99

A family run restaurant and probably the best Thai food in Portland. The food presentation rivals the best restaurants and the food flavors pop. Great service and a fun time.

Diner Review №100

Very tasty food and nice staff, good service.

Diner Review №101

Thai Sky Kitchen has moved to a new location on Division and it is sooooo cute. The owners are back at it and ready to serve up the most amazing and fresh thai food. My favorites are the pineapple fried rice, peanut curry with chicken and pad kee mao. Other must try items are the egg rolls and OMG rolls. Seriously, you will be addicted. I was sad to see them leave downtown, but I am so very happy the found a great spot in SE. Go check them out and support small businesses!

Great food ~ good prices ~ the restaurant is located on the corner of a one way street, so be on the lookout it's easy to miss or drive right by!

Restaurant is on the left hand side when driving down the one way on 14th St.

Also it is pay to park street parking ~ Do your self a huge favor!
Pay for the parking( $2 per hour) and set a timer 10 to 15 minutes before time expires because this city is all about giving tickets even if you're 1 min past expiration!

Other than that ~ Enjoy ~

Very good Thai food, and the lunch specials are very fast and delicious. Lots of gluten free options

Diner Review №115

I could get better food from the dumpster.

Diner Review №116

I love this place. Great value, friendly staff, and top notch cart Thai food.

The real amazing part is their ability to make gluten-free and vegan dishes. Several other carts nearby suggest they can and I've had wheat reactions as a result, or had confusing changing answers day to day from staff. Not here, they legitimately know what their doing in this regard and are clear to communicate with.

Pro-tips: bring cash to avoid credit card fee, and order over the phone to avoid waiting in line.

Also they support Go-Box here, so use that service and prevent some plastic from ending up in the ocean.
