Ordered green curry and wonton noodle soup. It hit the spot so delicious and they threw in a free desert I will be ordering again:)

Diner Review №5

Great food in Ne Portland is a accurate description. You should go it was my first time. I'll be back

Ordered it via an app. Food was not great. The curry was just a bland soup with boiled chicken and veggies. Pass on this spot

Diner Review №9

Diner Review №10

I lobe the food and the service was perfect I will b3 back

Diner Review №11

probably the worst pad Thai I’ve ever had, and by far the worst fresh rolls, the rolls were tiny, and mostly iceberg lettuce. I ordered the hottest pad Thai they had and it was bland and mushy. So be lost my appetite and am super bummed to have spent so much money on bad food. I was really hoping I’d have a favorite Thai place since I live close. I’d give one star but both people there were friendly.

Would not recommend, most likely throwing my food away.

Diner Review №12

This place was a ten out of ten had great service and amazing chicken satay and great orange chicken and I would highly recommend this place

Diner Review №13

Fantastic family owned restaurant. Delicious.

Diner Review №14

Wonderful, family owned and ran.

Diner Review №15

Ordered Pad Thai for takeout, 3 stars with a side of peanut sauce. For $16.95 I was surprised by the size of my portion, but hoped the food made up for it. It did not. Noodles were firm still and uncooked, the tofu was barely fried and the dish had a burned taste. There was almost no spice level. It was really unfortunate. I ended up adding my own sauces from my fridge at home to make it more edible. Won’t be ordering again, bummed I wasted my money treating myself with what turned out to be a mediocre dinner.

Diner Review №17

This restaurant came recommended so I was really surprised and disappointed. The “spicy peanut eggplant” was awful. Tasteless, not enough salt, and no spice at all (I requested mild, but this had none.) The carrots and broccoli were almost raw and the eggplant was incredibly overcooked and tasteless—the dish had no cohesion and no depth of flavors. I had to ask twice to get a chili sauce caddy for the table, which should have been supplied without asking. (And the sauces ended up not helping the dish’s taste.) The orange chicken was the worst I’ve ever tasted—you’re better off with Trader Joe’s or Costco’s version. The soft shell crab dish was too salty to finish. So really poor cooking with no consistency and no tastes worth going back for. The staff were pleasant. The décor had a lot of undustable dust-catching paper decorations hanging over the tables, so that was also unsavory. This restaurant has location location location but I won’t be back.

Diner Review №19

just left here and the beef & broccoli 🥦 was wonderful 😊

The welcome is very much felt and the food is flavorful but could be spicier and please don't skimp on chicken when the meal is sold as the main protein. because that is all the chicken in the picture.

Diner Review №20

Extremely polite and joyful family working hard in their family business. Delicious pad tai, chicken satay, and tom kha soup. Despite the ice storms of January 2024, they were dedicated to staying open every day to make sure stranded people had food options. They even invited local families without power to walk over for free food. We spoke with the family matriarch for about 10 minutes at our table and what a loving and good humored human! With so many people without power and stranded, I’m so grateful to be nibbling on leftover chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce for breakfast while we hunker down until our flight.

Diner Review №21

Me and my partner have been here plenty of times he always says they have the best orange chicken he’s ever had! Even though the pricing is quite high for the portions they serve here we have came back multiple times. But today? Today when we went in the ragoons were great as always but the chicken satay that was always get had a old taste that made us feel ill, the chicken was quite firm and seemed like it hasn’t been seasoned- the flavors where completely off. We also ordered the garlic soft shell crab that tasted like it was rotten, overwhelming fishy flavor like it sat in the back for awhile..didn’t taste like garlic AT ALL just straight fish. The meat was wayyyy too dark to even resemble crab it was basically black. We were also so excited for the orange chicken that we both love so much but it came out looking very bright orange, it was not crispy at all and was very soft and did not have the right texture and we both felt very sick after one bite. Luckily the staff was super understanding after we voiced our complaints. (We also offered to pay for the crab ragoons that we did eat) all the food had a slight fishy smell.

Diner Review №22

You can taste the love. Unbelievable food in an atmosphere that feels like the home of a beloved relative. Will go there again and again and again.

Diner Review №23

Diner Review №24

Diner Review №25

I've eaten here like five times. The portions are just to small for $16+ a plate. It was good food, but we can't be paying this much for how skimpy their portions were. $19 for crab fried rice and you get like three cups. We are going to have to pass on this place in the future.

Diner Review №26

Diner Review №27

Food is delicious as always. Would definitely recommend

Diner Review №28

walked over on my lunch break and asked the cashier if they could do a vegan pad thai w tofu and veggies. cashier said yes and asked how spicy I wanted. I said medium. order was ready v quick. walk back to work and see that my order has egg in it.
take order back to restaurant and ask for a remake. staff is apologetic. order comes out quickly, walk back to work. order has no veggies. only noodles, tofu, and green onion shoots. take a bite and order had no spice and was so sweet I couldn't eat it as is.
walked back over again and asked if I could eat my order there, doctoring it w table condiments of chili spice and soy sauce.
staff was friendly and restaurant was clean but my experience was disappointing.

edited to add: the portion was small for the price ($15 plus tip) - especially when my order was essentially only noodles and tofu. if there had been veggies, it would have felt more worth the cost but I'd still have noticed the smaller sized to go container.

This is our local go to spot for Thai food. Very consistent and yummy!

Diner Review №33

Incredible. Don’t miss this place. Whatever you’re looking to eat for dinner, just stop looking and come here.

Diner Review №34

Sat down to drink a beer and order takeout, some special coconut chicken curry with noodles on the board caught my eye, an boy am I glad it did. We also ordered the usual pad se ew and it was all very tasty.

Diner Review №35

I've ordered out plenty of times but finally sat down to eat inside. Best neighborhood Thai!! The food is amazingly good, the interior is cozy and cute, and the staff is wonderfully attentive. Do yourself a favor and plan a nice but casual date here—they'll be impressed.

Diner Review №36

Absolutely amazing dinner. I didn’t see what I wanted on the menu but after describing it to the waiter, the dish that he brought me was exactly what I wanted! I truly satisfied my every expectation! Wonderful! Highly recommend!

Diner Review №37

One of the best Panang curries I've had.

Diner Review №38

Really good food

Diner Review №39

This is my go-to Thai restaurant in Portland. The staff are super friendly, the food is always delicious and it’s reasonably priced.

Diner Review №40

Low key restaurant with delicious comforting food.

Diner Review №41

Pretty run of the mill Thai. Potatoes in my Massaman curry were completely undercooked. Maybe it was a bad night, would try again because it’s close to my house and decent enough.

Diner Review №42

Great little local spot that serves delicious food! Definitely a great neighborhood joint with great service! Definitely going to making return trips!

Diner Review №43

Diner Review №51

I would recommend this place to any fan of Thai food. I can't claim to know how authentic the food is but after trying meals from many other local spots this one is definitely a favorite. We dined in for a dinner and tried three main dishes including a curry, soup, and stir fry, additional appetizers and the on the house salad roll and dessert that comes with the dinner meal. Every dish was fresh and full of flavor and hard to choose a favorite! Staff was attentive and the food came out super fast. So glad to have discovered this place.

Diner Review №52

Diner Review №53

Excellent service and food.

Diner Review №54

My friend and I came for lunch. The dining area was spacious. The ladies who were working were attentive and have great recommendations. I got the beef rad nah, and it was so good! Would recommend!

Diner Review №55

We love to go there every other week, very good service, very nice people... and excellent food.. thanks Guys!!
The green coconut rice delicious 😋

Diner Review №56

I went there after work after a stressful day and I am so glad I did! The service was super friendly and fast! The food was amazing! We had the peanut lover, pad Thai, the fresh rolls and some Thai donuts for dessert!! The donuts were out of this world! Definitely don’t pass up dessert here! We will be going back to try the orange tofu and the curry next!

Diner Review №57

Cute little spot with excellent service. One extremely drunk and excessively LOUD woman kinda ruined the dine-in experience. Staff handled it as best they could given that she was giving every signal that she'd be a handful if told to quiet down. Food was good but a little overcooked. That being said, the portion sizes are quite large, leaving plenty for leftovers. We'll definitely try it again.

Diner Review №58

The yellow curry was amazing, same with the Thai iced tea. Great in taste and presentation. The atmosphere really was the cherry on top. Jen was fantastic, so sweet, hospitable. Really great experience.

Diner Review №59

I’ve been coming here a few times a month for lunch. The owner is so sweet and attentive. Everything I’ve had has been delicious. Some of my faves are the soft shell crab special and the sukhothai pork noodle soup, which is really yummy and interesting. I’ve also had some traditional noodle and rice dishes that were spot on. After every meal, they always bring over a small sweet sticky rice with pandan (I think) to end the meal with something sweet.

Diner Review №60

I came here on a business lunch and everything about this restaurant was incredible! The service was very friendly and quick, the food was delicious! I had curry and the cashew nut entree with pork! Not too spicy, and the food presentation put it over the top!

Diner Review №61

I had dinner with my parents so the three of us ordered 5 items. It was 2 appetizers and 3 main dishes. We got take out and I didn't think to check the food before we left the restaurant. When we got home to serve dinner we realized we were missing one of the appetizers, which were the dumplings. My mom called back on the phone and we were offered to go back to the restaurant, but at that point it wasn't worth it. She asked for a refund and the employee said he didn't know how to do it, would ask the manager and would call her back. We never got the call back. It's fine to make mistakes sometimes but when there is no effort to redeem that mistake then that is a problem. I said we should not go back to this place for dinner.

My mom got the refund so all is better. Thank you.

Diner Review №62

Very friendly and great food.

Diner Review №63

Food came out cold. Other than that it was ok. Nice wait staff.

Diner Review №64

Awesome Thai food. Cozy interior. Friendly staff.

Diner Review №65

Some of the best thai I have gotten in a while. Have ordered takeout from them on several occasions and each time was been amazing. The pad thai has a lot of flavor and the Thai Tea is one of my favorites. As well the portions are good for what you're getting

Diner Review №70

Best Tom Yum Seafood I have had in a long time!

Diner Review №71

Great food and wonderful people

Diner Review №72

Food was good.

Diner Review №73

Very nice folks and excellent fresh Pad Ped with Eggplant and Tofu. Probably the best Thai dish I've ordered all year. Medium spicy is just right for me at this place - it's not wildly hot.

Diner Review №74

First time visiting. Had a recommendation from a local. Possibly the best Tom Kha soup ever. Staff was attentive and efficient. And they played wonderful music!

Diner Review №75

Greatest Thai restaurant of all time 🐐. Couldn’t imagine going to any other Portland Thai place, especially not Drunken noodle.

Diner Review №76

went here on a wednesday night; super quiet but really delightful! the restaurant is very cute and cozy on the inside. our waiter was the absolute sweetest; he was very kind and friendly (we adored him). the portions were large enough for leftovers and both dishes were super tasty. the complimentary mango sticky rice was a great unexpected treat. highly recommend!

Diner Review №77

Excellent Thai, with extremely good service, and very friendly staff.

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №79

one of the coziest thai resturaunts ive been to in portland! portion sizes were big and everything tasted amazing, we brought home leftovers. the waitress was super sweet and even gave us a complimentry mango sticky rice! would def reccomend

I follow them from Orlando.
Miss their gourmet cooking.
The taste of Thai.
They are the best!

Diner Review №81

Diner Review №82

Recently remodeled and with several new dishes on the menu Sabiang Thai is a pleasant spot for some tasty Thai treats.

We had the place to ourselves which was nice in that we didn't need to worry over much about distancing and masks. The wait staff always wore masks and were both attentive and helpful.

The food was wonderful. Very fresh and perfectly seasoned, every mouthful was a delght.

Diner Review №87

Gave me and my partner food poisoning.

Diner Review №88

This place is great! Food is wonderful, staff are great, and many renovations were made!
Just a word of caution to people reading the reviews. Sabiang Thai opened for business on March 25, 2020. Any reviews older than that are for the previous Thai restaurant that occupied that space, Tuk Tuk. While their food was good, the upkeep of the restaurant was sorely neglected and filthy.

Diner Review №89

Delicious soup and salad

Diner Review №90

Love these people and their food, always fresh, flavorful and friendly! Best Massman Curry in town.

Diner Review №91

Have to edit my review. I had 5 stars for the previous establishment (tuk tuk) and loved it. Just went for my first time since they switched and am throughly disappointed. Way less veggies in the pad thai and it wasn't nearly as flavorful as it used to be. The salad rolls fell apart and had mushy tofu inside. And lastly, the peanut sauce was super liquidy.

Supper bummed out. Had been going to Tuk Tuk for about 15 years and unfortunately, I think I'm gonna have to find a new thai food place

Diner Review №92

Diner Review №93

We eat here every couple of weeks! Fantastic staff and great Thai food. Highly recommend as a neighborhood staple. Always happy with Sabiang Thai!

Diner Review №94

Love the owners! Very kind and the food was delicious too!

Diner Review №95

Working late and needed food to power through the rest of the night slinging ice cream. Sabaing Thai did not disappoint. Quick, tasty food, friendly FOH, and reasonably priced. Great people too!

Diner Review №96

Was a regular when it was Tuk Tuk, so of course had to try it. Being sensitive to spice I order my curry 0* (I always make a joke of wanting -5*. 😜)

The server was polite but had a very thick accent so ordering was difficult for me, so I just went with a favorite, yellow curry. Not sure if he heard my 0* preference, but it ended up being a bit too spicy for my taste. The curry was pretty good, veggies not too mushy and but needed a little salt. I took a star off because the amt of rice in the lunch serving was seriously lacking, and for the spice in my 0* lunch. Maybe if I would have read their disclaimer of "No refunds for food too spicy" I would have ordered differently. 🤦😂

Diner Review №97

Great prices. Absolutely fantastic food.

Diner Review №98

Watered down curry small portions. Dinner was a dissapointment.

Diner Review №99

Great take out and excellent service! The pad kee mao and the rad an gravy were delicious. Can’t wait to order from them again!

Diner Review №100

Really enjoyed my to-go lunch from here today. Sabiang Thai's food has some good heat to it; if you find most Thai food around Portland insufficiently spicy unless you order Hot (at least), then you'll be happy at Sabiang Thai with a Medium and might be pushing yourself at Hot.

Really friendly staff and good flavors. Highly recommend.

Diner Review №101

orange chicken and dumplings are what secured my future business, will definitely send friends their direction .

Diner Review №102

Friendly staff, authentic seasoning, large portions. If you are not used to authentic Thai seasoning, don't go above medium on the spicing. Medium will give you a wonderful blend of spices with a substantial kick. The Portland location only opened in April 2020, replacing Tuk Tuk. Reviews from a year ago are for their family's other restaurant by the same name somewhere on the East Coast.

Diner Review №103

Got takeout last week here, and it was great! The folks were friendly and gave surprisingly big portions that were delicious. If I lived in this neighborhood, this would be my to-go Thai place.

Diner Review №104

Just tried this new restaurant after having come to this place back when it was Tuk Tuk, and I am amazed by how good everything was. I liked Tuk Tuk, but Sabiang blows it out of the water in comparison. Every dish we ordered was amazingly flavorful and fresh. I can't wait to order from here again!

Diner Review №105

Best Curried rice I've ever had! Don't go any higher than 3 on the got scale if you know what's good for you 😂

Diner Review №106

Service was top notch. Food was spicier than expected, I'm a lite weight for heat. Others at table thought it just right.

Diner Review №107

Good food and price for lunch to working class. The prices are decent compared to a lot of places nowadays. The place need some facelift, but I love the owner who does good deed for community.🥰

Very tasteful Drunken Noodles, Papaya Salad, and Tom Yum Soup in NE Portland.

I go here at least once a month but just noticed that the last time I went here in October. Comparing my hard copy receipt to my bank statement that there was additional tip added.

Not sure if this was a mistake but giving the benefit of the doubt that it was?

NOTE to management, please ensure to only add the tip amount stated on the signed receipt.

Diner Review №112

Diner Review №119

I had never regretted going to a Thai restaurant until now. Some people praised the food while criticizing the atmosphere. I honestly saw nothing worth giving prompts to. There was one host that could use a training of how to attend the only two table she was assigned to. The food was horrifying. I could not bite into the broccok6because it was too stringy. The pad Thai was overflowing with water. The atmosphere made me lose my appetite. The carpeting looks like dead animals were dragged on. The leather on the benches look like it hasn't been changed since this city was built. And the table tops have food stuck on its cracks. T bathroom, well... just hold it in. Trust me it's not worth the nightmare. Bottom line, I don't know why this place is still open.

Diner Review №120

Diner Review №129

This place is dirty and we saw a mouse by the bathrooms. They messed up our takeout order and then blamed us and made us pay for them to fix it. There are so many better places around the area.

Diner Review №130

Huge Portions, great sauce. Cooler with coconut water, sodas etc. Nice art on the walls.

Diner Review №131

Your classic Thai menu, very well prepared and served. It's a bit of a tired place though, the hostess needs a vacation. The place needs some freshening up with the carpet, seat covers end table tops. The carpet lends a little bit of a aroma to the place. I think I would get take away food there next time.

Diner Review №132

I live nearby and this place is a go to! Large portions, delicious!

Diner Review №133

Diner Review №134

Service was terrible, I had to ask for the check after waiting 20 minutes at the table and then another 10 at the counter. It was really cold inside, everyone was wearing their coats. The food was good, but much better places within close proximity.

Diner Review №135

Diner Review №136

Good food

Diner Review №137

Kind of hit and miss with this place and the lady up front isn't super nice. Take out was excellent tonight. Chicken pad Thai.

Diner Review №138

Asome food and a good price for the amount that you get

Diner Review №139

This is my favorite thai place in the area. Super delicious food. I come here everytime I'm in the area.

Diner Review №140

Food was good. Service was not good. Had to get my own plate, was served wrong soup. Had to ask for 2 go boxes. Difficult to put soup in container. Have been done away from the table because it spills all over you. Had to ask for a bag. Had to go to the counter to pay. And there was no one else in the restaurant so not sure where she disappeared to. Would not go back there again because the service was so bad.

Diner Review №141

Diner Review №142

Lemon chicken was very dry no flavor , but, I'll go back to try another dish

Diner Review №143

the guy was really nice he didn't care that we broke a plate I'm not a huge fan but the food wasn't bad

Diner Review №144

Great fried rice

Diner Review №145

Best yellow curry

Diner Review №146

We love this place. Tasty food, large portions and nice staff. Nothing really fancy, but comfy and yummy.

Diner Review №147

Curries are consistently excellent, and I'd rate this place 5 stars if those were the only thing I'd tried here. The problem is that none of their other menu items are predictable. The best and worst Pad Thai that I've had in Portland both came from Tuk-Tuk on Fremont, and they were ordered two weeks apart. (Notably, spice levels are also unpredictable: "medium" can be anything from "Midwestern mild" to steeped in chili oil, inclusive, even for the same dish.)

Diner Review №148

Good Thai food in a not so great locale. The physical structure needs updating but the food is good. Service is not overly friendly but they are efficient and helpful in choosing dishes. Great place in the neighborhood.

Diner Review №149

Diner Review №150

I made only a brief stop today with a friend but expect to be back. There isn't a lot of ambiance but the space is nice -- and clean, and the restrooms are tiny, but my friend tells me that the $ the owners have saved in decorating has gone into the food and I can believe it!

Diner Review №151

Diner Review №152

Best pad thi in town imo

Diner Review №153

Diner Review №154

I recommend to order to-go! The food was delicious- I had the Pad Thai. However, the lady at the front was super unfriendly and seemed cranky and annoyed.

Again, food is great though and reasonably priced. Order to-go and get outta there. ;)

Diner Review №163

Diner Review №164

I ordered Kang Massaman. It was basically boiled potatoes, carrots with rubbery chicken with the sauce, and burnt peanuts. I told my waiter and he didn't understand. Upon leaving I pointed it out again, I think he understood but I am not sure. The bathroom was not clean, a little scary and the chairs material cracked and blinds are uneven. The whole place looked like it needed to be cleaned.

I have been going to Tuk-Tuk for over 20 years and several owners/management changes. This will be my last time until ownership changes and a remodel.

Bottom line, one should not be served burnt nuts and rubbery chicken.

Diner Review №165

This used to be our regular dinner spot for take out but the last 3-4 times we have gotten food from them we have ordered no spicey they have made it extremely spicey. It just ends up in the trash from house spicey it is.

Diner Review №176

Diner Review №177

Diner Review №178

Diner Review №179

Great food, no having to wait on line on a Saturday night, prompt service, large portions. I had the Pad Thai, which was great even though it had no cilantro. Service is not that good, the lady who waited on us seemed to be annoyed and sometimes downright mad, unfortunately. It's worth a visit or two if you can put up with that for the sake of a good meal

Diner Review №180

Portions are big, delicious food even though my Pad Thai was missing cilantro. Service not that good, waitress seemed annoyed in taking our order and waiting on us, didn't feel good. Still worth paying it a visit, though

Diner Review №181

Great chicken Pad Thai!

Diner Review №182

Diner Review №183

Great restaurant for Thai food. We love the curries.

Diner Review №184

Wanted to celebrate my college graduation. Went in at 8:45 and the woman didn't want us to stay and dine in even though they close at 9:30. She grumbled loudly that we would not have enough time, but did seat us and began sighing loudly while she slammed dishes around tidying table near us. Then another couple came in. She told them rudely they were closed, take-out only. They decided to stay and get take out and she sighed loudly and began grumbling. Then she came to take our otake. After she took it, we decided to get our food to go because we felt really uncomfortable staying. She seemed put out to have to change our order from dine in even though we felt like we were ruining her life by staying. She yelled to the kitchen to change order so the whole restaurant could hear and then wasnt happy about double bagging the food, the bag was really flimsy plastic and already had a tear and we were on motorcycles. No napkins, sauces or utensils. The food was absolutely MEH. Rubbery fishcakes and flavorless flaming beef. Will never return. Try "Monsoon Thai" on Mississippi you wont be disappointed!

Diner Review №185

My favorite Thai food restaurant in Portland

Diner Review №186

I think this shines as a take-out option..
Food was great and plentiful, but dining in we seldom got service.

I mentioned my drink order twice but never got it, and the 'appetizer' came right before meal, which was 20+ minutes in.
There seemed to be one guy doing everything in the room, so as more people showed up, we got less and less attention.
The decor needs work and the booth I sat in was oddly away from the table, even for a rotund guy like myself there was lots of space

HOWEVER!

Again the food was really good, I would have liked more noodles instead of peppers in my Pad Kee Mao but it was hardly an issue because I enjoyed it so much.
It was a big portion and despite my hunger I couldn't eat it all.

Really what I want you to get is this sounds perfect for ordering over the phone, but you may wait alot if you have to sit in.

Diner Review №187

The food was really tasty and the hostess was very accommodating and helpful. My wife needs to avoid shellfish which isn't easy to do with Thai.

Diner Review №188

Diner Review №189

Great food

Diner Review №190

Diner Review №191

The food here is always delicious! Great place for take-out or sit down. Great prices too. I recommend the pad Thai, the thai iced tea, and any of the curries but especially the Pumpkin curry and the one with egg plant. Yum!

Diner Review №192

Diner Review №193

This is one of my current go-to lunch spots. Really affordable and consistently good food. I typically get their curry dishes, which are big enough for me to get two meals out of, and a glass of their house wine which is only $5 and is a giant pour.

Diner Review №194

A typical dime-a-dozen thai place, but still somehow comforting enough to become a regular on our take out list.

Diner Review №195

we have been going to tuk tuk for several years now. their food is consistently delicious! i highly recommend the yellow curry and the the tom kah (both with tofu). no one in portland has a better tom kah!

Diner Review №196

Amazing value, & great food

Diner Review №197

This is my general neighborhood Thai joint. This is where I call in to order Tom Yum soup when I'm getting sick or on the go.

They are fast and friendly and have never messed up an order. Average prices and if you're in the neighborhood it's probably the best Thai close to us!

Foods ok. Not the best in the world.

Diner Review №199

We love this place and go often. The portions are some of the largest around in PDX and the price is about 10$ per plate, which can easily feed 2 people. This is our favorite Thai. You must try the peanut sauce, it is some of the best around.

Parking can be tight, particularly on weekend evenings when the Beaumont area is packed. You may have to walk a few blocks after parking nearby.

The staff is attentive and friendly, and multiple generations are working here . We rarely wait for a table, but don't go on Fri, or Sat nights so YMMV. Take out seems to be popular here.
