Familiar Thai standards, including vegetarian fare & seafood served in a casual, airy space.
Loved everything about this place. I can't wait to go back they don't play with their heat levels, so be careful picking.
The soups were great, good flavors, and the spring roll apps were great. I got thai Basil chicken it was fantastic.
Wonderful staff and plenty of sitting area.
Came for lunch, and time on food was a little longer than expected, but it was worth it.
Wide and I went there today after looking for something new to try. We got the cream cheese... appetizer... I can't remember the name and the steak appetizer. We shared the lunch Panang Chicken Curry. 2 beers, a glass of wine, and a Thai Iced Coffee.
The staff was great and friendly, the food was AMAZING, and the bill was shockingly low.
I absolutely recommend stopping in.
I've been here twice now in the last few years. The first time I had Pad Thai which tasted like ketchup... Today we tried it again based on thr menu items listed here but it has completely changed. I'm including pictures of the new menu. We ordered basil spring rolls, cheese rolls and fried tofu. The spring rolls were so bland and dry. They were served all cut up, too, which I found strange. They only contained Vermicelli noodles, basil and plain shrimp. The cheese rolls were strange, like fried spring rolls with melted cream cheese in the middle? The fried tofu was our favorite. It was lightly battered and served burning hot. Probably won't be back.
This is our favorite local Thai restaurant. Tonight my husband and I tried new to us dishes. I got the Pad Woon Sen and my husband got the Mango with Shrimp. We also ordered the basil spring wraps as appetizers. Generous portions were served and the food was delicious and fresh. And I can't forget the Thai Iced Tea! If you've never tried it, you must. It is sweet, creamy deliousness.
Wow.
Everything here was absolutely delicious 😋
We walked in & it wasn’t too crowded but by the time we left it was-& I see why.
Service was a bit slow but the food taste & quality definitely made up for it.
We ordered the fried calamari, cheese rolls, catfish massaman, & the snapper. 🔥
Everything was delicious the calamari was very tasty as well as the cheese rolls , I just wish the cheese rolls were a bit bigger.
The catfish massaman was cooked perfectly-I wish there was more catfish in the dish however.
The snapper smelled & tasted amazing. It was $44.99 & worth every penny.
We will definitely be back!
Food is always good. Portions was a little light.
Great experience,nice people
And delicious food we had the Bangkok chicken and grouper fantastic
The vegetable curry is NOT vegetarian, it contains fish sauce and does not disclose it on the in person menu. The food was pretty good so I'm not rating it poorly, but it seems like common sense that fish is not vegetarian- could be dangerous for people with seafood allergies.
Food is tasteless, basic service and offer nothing to entertain crying and attention seeking children. $64 down the drain
I order Thai basil beef and Pan Thai. The basil beef was horrible. We could not even chew the beef. It was full of peppers and onions, very little beef, no flavor. The Pan Thai had4 shrimps and they taste like they were burned and soak in grease. This is my third try at this restaurant and each time was not good. Know more. Horrible. This was a take out.
Genuinely some of the worst pho I’ve ever had. lol the noodles and broth were disgusting. And I’ve had a lot of pho in life. I couldn’t believe it 😂😂😂 that’s not their forte, but the spring rolls and the mango sticky rice was delish. Would come back to try another dish. Like a rice dish.
Food had no flavor. I come to Thai restaraunt for flavor
The soup tasted like coconut milk
I asked for extra vegetables and I would get more at another restaraunt. It looked like regular vegetable serving.
I havent been here in years. It used to be really good w good flavor.
My all time favorite Thai restaurant. The Pho chicken was just ok.
Shared a quick mini lunch with friends that consisted of calamari, egg fried rice, curry salmon, and spring rolls
Ok place food could be better
Always great food. Very clean atmosphere.
Best Thai I’ve had in Atlanta! This place is absolutely amazing! I had the best Fried Red Snapper ever here and the Penang curry was stunning. I have tried 6 different Thai spots in Atlanta, and this one has them all beat by afar! Loved the service and just how much care is put into the food.
It is consistently good. The food and the service is always great. Linda our favorite waitress is amazing!
Picked up an order of House Pad Thai and cream cheese wontons. It doesn’t taste like they even tried to prepare it. Dry, flavorless, and not worth the money. This taste like a Taste of a place you should not be eating from.
I am a frequent customer and I get the same to go order every time in order. One order of shrimp fried rice, extra onions, spicy. Well this time I ordered an additional order of rice for my daughter but not spicy and no extra onions. I go to pick up my food and neither ones looked like the had the spicy peppers so the cashier said they did not make it spicy and said they could put it back on and add the spice. I didn't want to wait and said no. I then noticed neither looked like they had extra onions so I asked. He went back to ask and his answer from the cook was she didn't know. Just like that. He said a dry sorry and that was that. Well that was enough for me. I am a loyal customer who expects more than that. Although I LOVE the dish I always buy several times a month, this flippant service was enough for me to never return.
Best Thai food I have ever had I eat here at least once a week.
Loved everything about this place. I can't wait to go back they don't play with their heat levels, so be careful picking.
The soups were great, good flavors, and the spring roll apps were great. I got thai Basil chicken it was fantastic.
Wonderful staff and plenty of sitting area.

Wonderful service and excellent food

I absolutely recommend stopping in.
Probably the best food found between Chapel Hill and Bill Arp. Food is fatty, but not overly greasy; very diverse, but not in an archaic or chaotic manner; and consistently great-tasting above all else. The only downside is the wait time, but what is a small restaurant in a large town to do?
The salmon curry was ok, but the ambience could have been nicer. Unfortunately, my server made a couple of comments that I didn’t find to be respectful and I feel it was due to my race and gender. In order to provide all customers with the best experience, all of these things need to be addressed.
I have always loved their food and atmosphere!!
Been eating here for a few years now. Good food, but it's definitely the westernized version. Any suggestions on where to find authentic?
The food was beyond delicious. The mango chicken was so great that I'm smiling just thinking about it! The service was friendly and it was an overall a wonderful experience! I definitely recommend this place!
Food is great! The price is a bit expensive, but so are most places these days. Their "Thai spicy" is laughable... maybe because I'm a white 'merican. Personally, I love the burn of true Thai food. So much so, I order my own ground Thai chili pepper straight from Thailand. Shipping sucks though, takes at least a month to get it...
I liked Thai Jasmine in Fayetteville Ga better. But each person has thier on preferences
Food was perfect, wait time was very little, nice delightful quiet place for lunch and very affordable
Waitress Mulan was absolutely phenomenal. Super friendly and she always had such a sweet, calm smile on her face. The food was amazing! I’d never had authentic Thai food before, but I wasn’t disappointedly in the slightest. The atmosphere is so relaxing and calm, definitely a place that feels on the higher class end, but the prices are so affordable. Definitely recommend for a date night or outing with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Amazing the food her Delicious!
The food was good and so was the service and the atmosphere was nice and I will be returning there to eat
It was ok!
The portions of protein are microscopic.
nice place
Front door impossibke to open if you are a child, a senior, handicapped or not strong. Freezing inside and windy. Service snail paced. Menu under glass on table smart but dirty menu under glass tacky! Have gotten take out ftom there. Food GREAT! Just will never go back to eat inside.
Delicious food every time
The place wasn’t too busy and the service was super quick. The food was fresh and it reminded me of my favorite shop in the city. This place is better because it’s so much closer. Would definitely recommend & will be back soon.
went in to try it while i was in the area the food was pretty good had the papaya salad and the pad Thai. the pad thai was pretty good wish i had asked for it to be a bit spicier but still good. the papaya salad was very good but there was a chunk of cabbage on the side kind of small for the price i paid. i hate cabbage so i threw it out, but i did ask for the spice lvl 2 instead of the refular lvl 1. the spice was great and the tangy flavors worked great. over-all it was a good experience if it hadnt been for the portion and the chunk of cabbage i would have probably gave them 5 stars.
Food was okay, Pad Thai was way too sweet. Their spring rolls were a bit small, but tasted good. Weren't able to finish the Pad Thai though, a little off putting. Been wanting to try this place for awhile, so this was a bit of a let down..
Server was very helpful and great variety of food. Looking forward to going there again soon.
I would recommend it for the price. It's very much worth it.
I have a great time every time I come. The food is great and the service is phenomenal. My family enjoys their food will definitely be back.
This is the Best Thai food around! We have been coming for years. The food is Delicious and light and it never makes me feel bad like many Chinese restaurants. They use really good ingredients and you can tell. No matter what our family has had from here it's Always been Wonderful! Thanks and Keep up the Good Work!!
This is by far one of the absolute best Thai restaurants I’ve ever eaten. It’s small, but packs a lot of atmosphere, and the food is phenomenal… You will want to return
Great meal. Great service.
Always great service. Sometimes takes a little time to get food, but always good. I get pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. Try the cheese roll!
This is one of the most difficult and disappointing reviews I've ever written because Taste of Thai is by far one of my favorite restaurants I've ever eaten at, not just in Douglasville. I have left them positive reviews all over the Internet, suggested them to friends, and eaten here hundreds of times in the 8 years I've lived here, brought countless friends/family/associates here for lunches, and suggested them for the Next Door best restaurant in town every single year I've lived here.
That being said, they have dramatically decreased the portion size of the food you're paying for. I'm talking you're getting less than half of the food you used to get, which is a big issue because their portion sizes were already on the smaller size before the massive reduction. The grouper my wife usually gets is less than half the size. The pepper steak I get is less than half the size and definitely less than 2 ounces of "steak." The yellow curry my daughters usually get, is less than half the size. The Pad Woon Sen, is half the size. We were all still hungry after eating here tonight. The spring rolls and cheese rolls we get for appetizers have not been reduced in size though - although they are already very small - just all of the entrees.
I don't mind paying for the food. If you need to increase prices, increase the price and I'll happily pay it, but to cut the amount of food so dramatically that we have no idea this is going on until these extremely small entrees show up to the table was pretty disappointing. When they were set on the table, we all looked at our plates and then up at each other noticing the gigantic decrease in the portion size from our last time dining. We do not like being tricked.
Disappointingly, we will not be returning, which is a very difficult thing to say. We have eaten here more than any other restaurant not only in Douglasville but in Georgia as a whole. We have brought friends and family here and made memories here. However, to have what were already smaller portion sizes shrunk to a level that they can't possibly fill you up isn't something we appreciate or that we will support in the future.
We ate the meal, which was still tasty, tipped, and left. They got us this time, but there won't be a second. Regardless, we thank Taste of Thai for all the great food and memories over the years and wish them well.
Great place to eat. Staff is easy to work with family owned would recommend.
Amazing!!!
Great service, great prices, amazing food!
Food was delicious. Portion sizes were terribly small.
The food was only bested by the service. This place hits all the marks. I wish I could give it 10 stars. You would not expect this quality in a tucked away location as this, but it is simply amazing! Pictures do not do it justice. The Seafood Soup had actual fresh seafood. Mussels, Clams, Calamari, Shrimp, and on and on. The Coconut Soup is to die for. It was four of us, so we each got something different to be able to try a variety of things. We did not find a dish that was not absolutely delicious.
The flavors were astounding. Our server was impeccable with her timing and we wanted for not a single thing. This may have been one of our best dining experiences, and we eat out a lot. This is definitely a must try place if you are within 20 miles! Keep up the great work on the food and the service. We will always come back!
Good lunch great service.
Whenever we want fresh food, we can always depend on Taste of Thai. We are locals and my husband always gets cashew nut chicken and I love their Thai fried rice with chicken and ALWAYS get their yummy chicken coconut soup. We highly recommend this local business. #journalingjulie
Portion sizes are too small and both my daughter and I ordered separate entrées and they only gave one bowl of rice. I didn't like the ginger beef it had a rancid smell like the meat was old. Not going back I'll continue to take the hike to Noodle in College Park.
Consistently excellent 👌‼️
I never leave a review anywhere ! But this place taste really fresh ! And taste really pleasing to the soul lol . I recommend to everyone!! 😍😍 this is some HEALTHY GOOD food.
They are very stingy with their meats everytime. Mango Thai in Hiram is worth the drive.
Foods bomb, prices are fair, service was quick. Only complaint I ever have when I come here is that it’s super quiet, I wish they’d have some music.
Not great but nice people
This is our favorite local Thai restaurant.
The grouper and jasmine rice plate with the sauce on the side is pretty good. The spring rolls and spicy basil fried rice is ok. Would order again and try other items but definitely would order the grouper again.
Oh goodness, if you go, you will love the coconut chicken soup. It is delicious. Great prices and choices.
Great veggie options! Will be coming back
Casual Thai spot with very reasonable prices. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be returning!
The first time I went, the food was good and the service was great. Went for lunch yesterday and the experience was awful. The poor service was obviously racially motivated, which is why the lady tried to recant as I was walking out the door. Never going back.
The food was horrible and overly priced never coming back!!!
I ordered a Pad Thai, Sesame Chicken w/fried rice, and two Thai Teas. My order arrived with a white rice and fried rice. Which I feel was a lack of attention to detail since I only asked for fried rice. Secondly, one on my teas came with tea spilling on top and down the side of the cup, in which I had to ask the waiter to wipe off. Lastly, I got home, and there were no utensils in my to go bag for either of my orders. Not to mention, it took 30 min for my food to be prepared. As soon as I find another Thai restaurant, I will not be returning to this one. Poor and sloppy service at a ridiculous price. I am not satisfied at all.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! i Tried to walk in and place and order and i was told they where closed. This was almost hour before closing. I will never spend my money here again.
Great food and service!
Soup is nothing but liquid, one piece of chicken, and chopped up mushrooms.
Bare bones.
They need to make real soup
This place is the best! I recently moved to Douglasville from Boston. I fully expected to have to travel a long way for good Thai food. I am thrilled to have a truly top quality Thai restaurant right here!
My favourite menu items are the Thai spring rolls and the Thai fried rice. In fact, I have to force myself not to get the rice every now and then. All the food is amazing, but that rice is an addiction.
The lunch portions are just right and very reasonably priced.
I really can't recommend this restaurant enough.
Teddy [pictured] would give it 5 stars as well, but he's busy sleeping.
I got a large order of chicken coconut soup, spring rolls, and Thai tea. The spring rolls were good. Nice crunch and the veggies inside had a nice crunch. Thai tea was good. The coconut soup had zero flavor. Like none. I've never had to season my coconut soup. The chicken was bland. The soup tasted like nothing. I've been spoiled and I am used to Surin which is top tier Thai, but this didn't even sort of compare. I spent 10 bucks on soup that tastes like nothing. Nice.
Food is delicious - always. Service is great. I am a repeat customer and eat here at least twice a week.
Consistently excellent at fair prices.
I recently had the pleasure of trying the Thai fried rice at Taste of Thai and it is hands down the best Thai fried rice I have ever tasted! The balance of flavors and texture was perfect, it was spicy yet not too overpowering, and the portion size was generous. The restaurant itself was welcoming and inviting, and the staff was friendly and informative. The restaurant was also clean and had a nice ambiance. I highly recommend Taste of Thai for anyone looking for a tasty Thai fried rice experience.
Ppl who give this place rave reviews haven’t had good Thai food before. I’ve never had pad ke mao so horribly made ever before in my life. The flavor profile was all wrong snd it was SALTY!!! The Thai tea was also subpar. I LOVE Thai tea and I didn’t even drink half of it. The spring rolls were doable and the coconut soup was ok but very tart. Never again.
Great Thai food‼️
Me and my family loved it here! Super clean and relaxing environment. The food was fresh, very well prepared, and delicious!! Loved the way they serve and just every detail of service was 5 stars! Honestly probably one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to. I will be coming back soon!
I really like this little place its priced right too.
Use to be a great place to eat but after tonight no thank you 12 bucks wasted the food was bad the chicken that was honey was more like bad chicken and the bang bang was hard as a rock very unhappy no more wasting my money here along with the small amount food you get what a joke . Not sure how they get 4 stars but 2 stars was hard to give only the noodles was worth eaten or taste fresh.
My friend and I went for dinner on Saturday night. We were seated promptly upon arrival at a back table. They had almost every table filled. Our server came to us after a minute or so and took our order. I got the beef pho, which is not like your usual Vietnamese pho, it was good but the noodles themselves were a little salty. The Thai egg rolls were crisp to perfection and my friends fried rice was pretty flavorful. It was quiet with no music but we will definitely be back.
Taste of Thai offered Pho as an entree on their menu. We decided to try it. We ordered the Pho, Pad Mama and Pad Thai. We didn’t have very high expectations since it is a Thai restaurant, however; the Pho was too salty and had terrible flavor. Inedible. We told the waitress. She didn’t care to discuss it and still charged us for it. The other entrees were subpar at best. Needless to say we won’t revisit.
Pho is so amazing, the broth was so flavorful! The Thai fried rice is amazing too, love this place!
Love this place the food is amazing and that red snapper is to die for I go at least 3 times a month
Very nice place and service. I had green vegetable curry with Thai tea. Vegetables were versatile and fresh, but it was not spicy at all. I asked the waiter if it was spicy, and he said will ask the chef to make it less spicy, so guess he decided to skip on spice completely. Maybe lack of communication, as all products were super fresh and juicy, just very flat taste this time.
One of the best places to eat in Douglasville. I love the Pad Woon Sen.
I tried this place today and it exceeded my expectations. The food was very tasty, fresh and simply delicious. The place was calm, clean, and service was great. Definitely recommend it.
Finally making a review for my husband and I’s FAVORITE place to eat in douglasville. We seriously can’t get enough of Taste of Thai!! Their food never lacks and they are such a nice staff!
It has been better in the past. We did go closer to close and got to-go but overall the quality was just ok.
Most recently visited to order food. I waited at the hostess stand for over 5mins. Not one time did any come and greet myself or the other patron that was there to dine. We both ended up leaving. Very disappointed .
The food was delicious as always. I wish they would put the fire back in the coconut chicken soup.
It's the best Tai I've ever had. A must go .
Get the Crispy Basil Duck!
One of the best restaurants in Douglasville. Fast, friendly, reliable service always makes for a great time. The food is always delicious. I’d recommend the Thai Coconut Soup as well as the Basil Beef (with extra veggies). Round it out with a Thai Ice Tea (or coffee).
Whenever I’m in town, I always get ToT.
Wonderful place everything I've ever had was absolutely delicious and everyone is super nice!
Great food and amazing staff
Food was really good I loved my calamari
I ordered sesame chicken too breaded and tastes bitter
Fried rice very bland. Food was nasty dry and rice is hard. I will never order her again. I hate I left a tip.
The food was really good and the service was as well. Will absolutely be back.
Food was great! A great variety of options! Will be coming here more often
This place is so consistent the pad see u is bomb!!
The fried grouper in the basil sauce is sooo good! And the cheese rolls!
Love the food and atmosphere. Very laid back vibe and the service is great as well. Definitely one of my favorite go to places in Douglasville.
I really enjoyed my dinner in the restaurant. Service was prompt, friendly and the food was delicious. We started with spring rolls very tasty I had Pan See U with fresh hot tea; I would recommend that dish to anyone.
This is a garenteed supurb meal. Not many good places to eat in Douglasville. This one is on top of the few places to eat. Terrific customer service and food never disappoints.
First time ordering from here, and the food was sooo good! I gave three stars because the person who takes the orders over the phone is hella rude and rushes you off the phone! Not once but 3 times. Don't think I will keep giving my money to a business whom sounds as if I am bothering them! Will not return!!
This is mainly a customer service critique and error on the business. My friend and I came in around lunch time and were told there was a 20 minute wait. No problem. We stood against the wall and waited. Two people came in about 8 minutes after us and were also told to wait. They waited on the opposite side of us. A few minutes passed and the two people that came in after us were seated before us. I was disgruntled but waited to be seated. Upon being seating I asked our waiter if this business has reservations. He said no and I expressed the concern. He proceeded to attempt to gaslight me and tell me the people came before us. It is very rude to not only lie to your customers due to an error on your business, let alone not honor your customer line. I am very disappointed because if the waiter had apologized and acknowledged the issue then there would not had been a problem. I have come to this restaurant for years and the food is always good. But the customer service on this circumstance was very poorly handled. If you want to be seated on time, make sure to stand in the way of the register so the staff can't get to it. That seems to be what you have to do in order to be seated on time and in order.
Very disappointed, not sure what happened to this place. I ordered Pho and it one of the worst I have ever eaten! It cam in a small bowl and with little vegetables (bean sprouts, basil, etc.). It was salty, tested like one of those instant cup of Pho. I also order curry to go and it was good... For the price they charged, they should give a little more portion.
Service was good but it took some one awhile to come by.
The restaurant was pretty clean but old. The men restroom was a mess and toilet doesn't flush/work. It make me wonder about the kitchen.
I love this place! The food is always fresh and hot and the place is clean! My favorite is the shrimp Pho with extra noodles and lots of siracha!
One person ordered an appetizer plate as an entree and was served in a reasonable time. After more than an hour and a couple of complaints, the other two entrees came. The waitress mumbled something about having to serve takeouts first. No apology or other consideration. We won’t return.
The food was delicious the pricing was very reasonable. However originally I gave it five stars I'm adjusting it down to three because they have since reduced the food portions by 50%. The prices didn't go up but the food portions are very small. I guess this is their way of creating inflation within the restaurant they didn't charge more they just gave you a whole lot less food I won't be going back
I really enjoy this little spot. Small and cozy, quiet and quaint. The food is very good and the service is perfect. I especially love the cashew nut chicken and Thai eggrolls. So good.
Wow. Great service and food. The Bangkok chicken was excellent.
I’ve been eating for years! Always will get the spicy basil rice with shrimp, this time the rice just seemed a bit bland and dry. It’s normally rich and filled with flavor, I know they’re under new management but the recipe seemed to have change with the rice. A bit disappointed.
It was raining hard the day I dined in here because I was craving Thai food. I should have waited a day and just went to Imperial Palace in Hiram or Thai of Austell. Those are really good Thai places. I regret eating here. Small servings for the price. Worst Pad Thai. Super sweet like they use ketchup in it. Bland pineapple fried rice. And you have to hunt for meat in ur curry because they give you 5 pcs cut up chicken in it 🤣
Best Thai food around! Highly recommend! Staff is friendly and accommodating.
I absolutely love this place. I was looking forward to it when coming back to town to visit family. I did notice that the food was not as hot as I'd like it to be this time, but that was probably a one-off. The masaman curry is the best.
EDIT : I came back and asked for it to be spicy, and WOW, they did not disappoint. I was able to finish it all but man was it hot. But even though it was spicy was absolutely amazing.
Great place, love the employees, love the food
If you leave a bad review, you're F'in high. Bet you country bumpkins have never even been out the state (besides Panama beach) never mind to thailand.
