The local delicious Thai cuisine with patio seating
I had an excellent experience dining in here at Charm Thai with a group of friends. It was extremely easy to call in for a reservation (which I recommend). We tried a variety of dishes including pad Thai, fried rice, curry with salmon, and crab sticks. All of the dishes were very fresh and perfectly balanced. I would certainly prefer a bit more flavor/spice however. The Thai iced tea was also great! Service was quick and the servers were very friendly. The ambience was fantastic with their flower decorations. Great for photos. Pricing was extremely extremely reasonable especially for Portland. Would certainly recommend trying charm Thai!
I recently dined at Charm Thai with a team of 17, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic! They graciously accommodated our large group, filling the entire restaurant, all while managing with just one server. Remarkably, they didn’t miss a beat! The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. I was so impressed that I returned just a few days later for the drunken Thai noodles—they're to die for! If you’re craving Thai food, Charm Thai is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
Fins this place with 4.7 Ggoogle review. That's why came with family and friends to try it out. We were very hungry. It wasn't busy at the time when we arrived. Only 1 table and us. We sit down. The waitress asked us for drinks. We ordered couple drinks and at the same time I would like to order a soup for my wife and kids, they were super hungry. The waitress just told us to wait instead of getting the order though at the same time (that was frustrating especially the kids are hungry). Food is ok not 4.7 ( I would say 3.5). Food is salty then we like. Tom yum soup is so so. Noodles were ok. The Tai milk tea is a but refreshing, but is kind of sweet.
Took my friend here for her birthday dinner. We had an amazing time and the service was outstanding and they even gave her a cute little chocolate lava birthday cake!!! They had beautiful decor with all the flower arrangements and the cutest little teacups for our tea! The food was awesome with great flavors, spices, and presentation as well. We had the short rib curry, gyoza, pad Thai, and steak salad! Would definitely go back all the time especially if I lived closer to them.
Had been waiting to come to Charm Thai for a while and the food definitely lived up to the anticipation! The setting is a cute and unassuming home that’s been retrofitted for dining. Very similar to the vibes of the nearby Franks Noodle House. Decor is simple and elegant with flowers adorning the walls and ceiling.
Food was great and they have lots of great options on the menu. We wound up going with the pad see ew and the signature massaman curry. Both dishes were tasty but the curry was definitely the standout with incredibly tender meat! Plating as well was definitely a stand out for what I’d usually expect for Thai food.
Overall great service and will certainly be going back when on the east side.
Food was good but service was trash. Guy working Thursday needs to lock in.
Came to this place and feel like I got kind of Hoodwinked by social media or something. Maybe it was an article. Pretty mediocre. Definitely not bold, exciting flavors. If you find Thai food generally a bit heavy and overly flavorful then you might actually like this place. It is very light and bland. It's like Thai inspired.
And despite being in an old, historic Portland house this place has a zero vibe. The furniture is god-awful and nobody with any taste has really done anything. It's kind of like they went to see rukdiew and then Half-Heartedly attempted to simulate Rukdiew's budget Happy flower! Knick-knack vibe with a quarter of the budget. And in the winter it's cold and drafty because they have a huge door and it doesn't have a closer on it and there's no vestibule and that door just lets in blast of cold air over and over again into the dining area. Service was attentive and the food came out suspiciously fast. So fast that it seemed like it had been made long before and then just reheated.
My family absolutely loves this place and we always go when my parents are in town. The food is incredible, it is super cute inside, and everyone in my family leaves happy! Looking forward to coming back again and again! Also, my boyfriend is gluten free and can always find something to eat!
A charming Thai restaurant! This was great to have after the blazer game. The staff was really kind and the food was amazing 💖
The food was delish! In beautiful old house.
Omg. 1000/10, food was out of this world.

Charm staff was great. We had a nice dinner w/ professional service. Short rib curry was delicious!
We were a group of business associates who originally made reservations for a party of 12 that swelled to a party of 17 by the time we arrived. The hostess was wonderful in accommodating our last minute needs and even managed to seat us together . The service at Charm Thai was extremely fast , the food was excellent and the cook actually came out of the kitchen to ensure that we were satisfied ( and even took a group photo with us ! ). Highly recommend Charm Thai - everything about this restaurant was outstanding!

Horrible food horrible place and service don’t believe the reviews a lot of it is not true not worth the money or time
Some of the most bland Thai food I’ve had in Portland. Crab Fried rice had literally nothing in it but rice and crab. Same with the Tom Kha- it was warm coconut milk. Zero flavor. Especially for the price. It’s an Instagram restaurant and nothing more.
Delicious and beautiful food in a charming setting. The staff was super attentive and helpful.
Came in for a late date night dinner and was blown away by every dish here! We will be back for more 👍👍👍
This place is beautiful!!!! The service was outstanding!!! Perfect professionalism. We felt so welcome, I have to say this is the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. 10/10, will recommend to anyone! This would be the perfect spot for a date.
Their drinks have like 3 different kinds of MSG, had to brush my teeth after taking 1 sip of their berry lemonade. Food of quality this bad should really be illegal, this is 2024. I understand the economy is making it hard for everyone but poisoning people with MSG syrup is really bad business. Mcdonalds is like 10 tiers higher than this place.
Not good, very bland mix veggies and chewy chicken. Veggies were ruin by overcooking and extremely soggy.
I have had my fair share of pad see ew from many Thai restaurants and this one is one of the best!!! Will definitely be back to order more!!
It’s definitely an instagram restaurant meaning it’s pretty to take pictures in, adorable aesthetically but the food was very underwhelming. I got basic pad Thai, the noodles were very thin and slightly over cooked which made it a mushy texture. The staff was very nice!
Awesome Pad Thai & Tom Kah soup! I will definitely come back!
Delicious.
I used to LOVE this place but ever since they changed hands and cooks and menu... No way... Tonight edamame was too cooked, peanut sauce was mediocre and the pad thai... No way... So gross... Not a fan anymore. Also menu online is still old menu now they have a much smaller selection and dirty paper menus... Plus the price for the food... Not a good deal or worth it.
Delicious and charming

Some of the best food in the neighborhood. Every time we eat in the staff are amazing and even remember us. Their curry is super yummy and the location is nice. One of the best late night spots!
Best Thai food I've had outside of having a Thai friend cook at our house, and better than any Thai restaurant I've been in. Scrumptious meals with the perfect balance of flavors, temperature, and spiciness. The staff (owners, I think) just beamed when they served food to us and others and had a happy spring in their step as they went to serve others. Wonderful!!
Masaman short rib curry ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- wow the meat was so tender and worth the price
- flavorful
- love spice but it wasn't overly spicy for no reason, it was spice for depth
Pacific bomb ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- was a little alarmed by the whole fish on the plate
- love the amount of spice
- we loved the amount of fish options here, helped us feel really full
- bright and crisp vegetables
Charmed by love mojito⭐⭐⭐
- didn't love this
- little too sweet and a little cough syrupy
- cute presentation though
Delicious and open until midnight! Flavors are beautifully balanced; nothing too sweet or salty or spicy. Will definitely return in the future.
We had:
1. Panang curry with tofu (pictured): 4.8/5. Coconut flavor was rich but not overwhelming; tofu was firm and didn't break apart; spice had a deliberate but gentle kick (and they gave you chili oil if you wanted to up the spice level). My one qualm: I wish the temperature was a little hotter when it got to the table.
2. Pad Thai with chicken: 5/5
Fantastic flavor, sauce level perfect, wedge of lime for freshness. Good amount of protein that wasn't dry or overcooked.
3. Spicy basil clams: 4.8/5
Really enjoyed the basil flavor; the sauce + rice = deliciousness. Clams were fresh. Only had 3 clams that didn't open, and only one had some residual sand.
4. Mango sticky rice: 4/5
Mangoes were sweet, presentation was nice. Rice felt slightly undercooked/dry.
5. Thai ice tea: 5/5
One of the best I've had, and at a very reasonable price. The dairy flavor was rich, sweet but not too sweet.
6. Bangkok Sweet Night (cocktail): Not my drink, but for the two sips I had, 5/5. Strawberry and basil combo was lovely. The person who drank the rest of it said it did get a little extra boozy at the end, so be sure to mix it up.
I ordered from UberEats and while the service was quick and the food was decent, it wasn’t the medium spice I ordered and the Tom Yum was only broth, shrimps and small enoki mushrooms. Regular Tom yum contains bigger mushrooms and chunks of tomato and onion so for $14 this was disappointing.
Super cute restaurant with a very unique interior. Food was very tasty.
Had a great time here! We walked in and were seated right away. Service was nice and very informative. We ordered the short rib, egg rolls, and two soups: one tom ka and one tom yum. Everything was exceptional and we had only compliments. We live in the neighborhood so can't wait to add this to our date night repertoire.
I ordered the Tom Kha with EXTRA tofu, and 2 Thai teas, the soup was EXTREMELY BLAND, and looked like milk -water with none of the normal veggies-etc that I usually see in EVERY OTHER tom kha soup I've had.... Just had a TRILLION little mushroom looking things a few (like 3) green veggies and a handful of the blandest-wateriest just straight from the box tofu I've ever tasted....
Extremely unhappy & dissatisfied,
Worst $25 I've spent in a LONG time ...
Well ($17, cause their Thai Teas were DELICIOUS, 10 outta 10 for the drinks)
But 0 outta 10 on their Tom Kha....
Top notch service and the food was a solid 10. Would definitely recommend it, and they are open late. Give them a try, you'll love it.
The atmosphere is amazing! I would enjoy bringing my partner here on a date.. this place is beautiful and the music is perfect! The waitress is super helpful, helping me locate the gluten options on the menu! I ordered 3 for here and 4th item to go! I will for bring all here ❤️❤️
The red curry was delicious! Service was excellent & very chill atmosphere. Highly recommend this lovely place!
Truly disappointing. First of all what restaurant has a scented candle burning at the table???
Small portions…4 of us had 4 entrees, and 2 appetizers and we are all still hungry. For the most part food was pretty tasteless except for the spring rolls and drunken noodles. Service was nonexistent, and decor was dated and cheap…definitely wouldn’t recommend.
Food was A-1, very top quality and flavorful! Seen a TikTok on this establishment about 6 months ago and has definitely been on our bucketlist ever since! We live in the couve but just so happened to be in Portland for an event on Halloween eve so we made it a priority. Drinks were very strong and excellent as well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Esthetically was fine but we came for the food and it was all the rave! Anxious to go again so we can try other items on the menu! I think we found our new favorite thai restaurant. Locally. Prices were very reasonable also. Highly recommend.
I love this place. The rib eye salad was amazing.
10/10! Cozy interior and cute patio! The ceramic bowls which some entrees were served in were beautifully made, and did well to complement the food. Staff was friendly, welcoming. During the meal, the chef came out to ask us how the food was and explained the process behind dishes we got. Amazing! Very kind people.
The food was fantastic!!!
One of best Thai food I ever had. We ordered a few plates from the chefs recommendation and they were all excellent. Beautiful presentation and fast service too
The space is really unique, and decorated in a very colorful and inviting way. The food was great. Best Tom Kha I have ever had, and the short ribs were amazing. All the food was plated and served creatively. The chef came to our table and we had a nice long conversation with him. The only issue we had was the spice level. We asked for “very mild” spice level, as my mom who has dementia can’t tolerate spicy food, and it was still quite spicy. Would definitely eat here again!
Super cute venue. The Tom Kha soup, Thai short ribs and Thai lemonade were amazing.
Enjoy!
Wow, I've passed by Charm for years and never stopped. I've been missing out! This food was so good. I'll be back to get more of the Massaman Short ribs.
Great spot. Smaller space inside, very intimate. I feel like it was a house at one time. Service was fantastic, everyone was very friendly and attentive. I went solo and had a great meal. Prices were reasonable.
Really happy to have come across Charm Thai, we ordered take out and the drunken noodles with tofu and massaman curry with short ribs were both fantastic. Perfect flavors and spice, everything really well balanced and delicious. Can’t wait to try again.
Went for a late night option and was pleasantly surprised by table availability, quality of food, and friendly and attentive service despite it being towards the end of their day. It was efficient without feeling rushed, although our intention was to have a quick meal thus the pacing was great. Nice perk - cute space! We enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back.
Short rib curry? Please do yourself a favor and yes. Tom yum? Yasssss. Scallops? They give you more than competitors with a similar or more expensive price and they're amazing. Drunken noodle? Yes, dude. Just go!
I'm literally still here and I couldn't wait to say how good this food is. The scallops with tamarind sauce is delicious as the service is amazing.
Everything was delicious and the presentation was just as good. Beautiful little indoor room with flowers all over the wall. A little loud in the front room but they have outdoor seating if you would like more space for your group. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.
We went there pretty late around 1 AM. Very beautiful place. Ambience was super good. We ordered tom kha soup which was really good. We ordered fried rice and drunken noodles which were okay. We also got mango sticky rice and it was a little too hard to eat because of how it was served. A plate would’ve been better. The chef was very kind and had a chat with us. He keeps changing the menu. So perhaps we may go again when there’s a new menu :)
The service was amazing, always made sure our waters were full and checked in on how we were doing. Very cute and pleasing restaurant! The mango juice was so yummy and so were the drunken noodles with chicken. I also really recommend the thai coconut creme brûlée, such good flavors 🫶🏻
Enorm lekker eten, super fijn en lief personeel.
One of the best customer service and Thai food I’ve ever tasted.
Charm Thai is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai in PDX. The pad thai was light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The panang curry was delightful, but the star of the show was the Massaman Short Rib Curry...WOW. The chef came out before the meal and said it was his favorite dish, so of course, we ordered. It blew us all away!
The service is spectacular–friendly, genuine, and thoughtful. Looking forward to being in town again and heading back. Thanks, Charm Thai!!
what a lovely place! incredible food and service <3
Wow! This is some of the best Thai food I have ever had. I will be coming back every time I am in town. We shared the massamn, pad Thai and one of the curries and each dish was incredible. The chef came out and talked to us multiple times- him and his staff were extremely helpful and kind. I can’t recommend this place more. I could have eaten all three entrees to myself. You can tell so much skill, talent and love goes into these dishes. THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD!
I heard about this restaurant from a TikTok and the food lives up to the hype! I had Pad See Ew and it was my favorite version of Pad See Ew I've ever had. I absolutely will be coming back and trying more of the menu!
Always a good place to eat and love the service definitely always worth the money I work hard for to spend there love this place
It’s oh ok but díswaser
Very nice Thai food here made by Thai folks. The ambience of the restaurant is great. Lots of decorations. They also open late too.
We stopped by on Friday night around 11pm and ordered 8 plates of food. Most plates are $15 with chicken or tofu and a little more for shrimp or fish.
The waitresses were very nice and friendly. After our meal, the chef came out and greeted us too.
This place is wonderful. Very flavorful, made with care. The head chef even came and talked to each table. It's not super expensive, portions great.
I like to go to restaurants that not only have good food, but the atmosphere should have character and the staff should be friendly. The vibe checked out! Great food. Super kind staff. In a quaint old house. Might not be super suitable for littles. It is tight quarters with your neighboring consumer.
This place had the cutest vibe!! Set in an old house they really did a great job with the place with plastic floral bouquets and wisteria flowers hanging from the ceiling. Charms staff were also very attentive and sweet!
We came for the mango sticky rice and sadly, they were sold out. We ended up getting the mango tapioca, which wasnt bad by any means but I felt it could have more tapioca pearls in it as it was quite runny. NBD though! I love all desserts.
Next time, aside from the mango sticky rice, I want to try the thai iced tea lemonade and the coconut creme brulee! Can't wait to return!
Listen, do yourself a favor and order something from the Chef's Recommended section. It's more expensive but it's well worth it. In fact just order the Massaman Curry Short Ribs because it was absolutely phenomenal. Ribs were tender, curry had a rich flavor, and there was plenty to eat. The Pork Cha Shu was also delicious but if you're not a fan of star anise (black liquorice flavor) then you won't like it. We didn't have a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes on a Monday evening. Everyone was kind, the place was clean, a cute little spot for sure.
Lovely time here! The atmosphere and service was great. The chef even said hello to our table! My party of 6 felt very welcomed. Not to mention the food was AMAZING! Even though the menu is on the smaller side, it's still a hard decision to make.
The space is small so there may be a wait if you don't have a reservation. I highly recommend ordering family style as there is too many good choices.
Amazinggggggg Thai food
Seated 30+ mins late for a 7:30 pm reservation, didn't receive our entrees until 9 pm. Service was highly disorganized: host told us they were clearing a table 15 mins before we saw the host clear our actual table and then seat us, two different people asked our drink order in one 10 min span, 4 different people refilled the same full water cups in another 10 min span.
Curry short ribs were well liked, crab fried rice was decent. "Spicy" basil fried rice didn't even have a kick. Drinks were average. Will not go back due to service.
Sawadee krap, hello! This is the best Thai food I have had since Thailand. I have been here twice now and very impressed both times. Thai people are so kind, friendly and hospitable.
We had Pad kra pao which was prepared beautifully. Very similar to what you would get from many street vendors anywhere in Thailand. The only thing I missed was the little bowl of fish sauce and chilis.
We also had egg rolls and Tom yum soup. Egg rolls were perfectly crispy and cooked with very fresh oil. The Tom Yum was probably the most flavorful I have tasted. It’s simple and is a translucent broth but they’ve been able to concentrate and infuse SO much flavor into this soup. Very delicious.
Some people dress up to come here. Great outside seating in summer. I don’t know if you’re supposed to but there is a lot behind the building marked “customers only” no one is ever parked here and we always use this lot!
The chefs recommendations were delectable, the drinks were perfect and the friendly service was warm and engaging. To top it all off, we got to meet Chef Boyd. Phenomenal place, highly recommend.
Let down.. My girlfriend and I were very excited to eat here because of the social media presence making everything look great.
On arriving though, we asked what the wait was, and the host responded that a table is open so we’ll get you once it’s cleaned off - 20 minutes later, they call us in. Turns out, they said this to everyone waiting, kind of a bummer. The service was fine, apologetic for the wait, the drinks and food came pretty quickly. Thai iced teas were pretty watery and bland. They were out of a dish we were wanting to order, so we got our standard dishes for Thai restaurants, yellow curry and Pad Thai (also ordered crab sticks). The Pad Thai was mostly without flavor and very mushy, no textures at all. The curry was also bland with the exception of some spice, vegetables were undercooked and the rice was sticky/chewy. The crab stick was the best thing of the night, which I’d give a 3/10.
Less than halfway through each dish we both started actually feeling sick and didn’t like the flavors anyway, so asked for a check.
The chef was notified we didn’t want to go boxes and wanted to know the issue, so I politely tried to communicate them, but was verbally bulldozed about how I was wrong and the dishes are good / the way they’re supposed to be. As if I haven’t eaten better Thai food in Portland monthly. Awkward.
We paid and within ten minutes of leaving my girlfriend actually threw up from feeling so sick. The total bill came to $55, but I would have paid more to have avoided the entire experience.
This is not you average Thai takeout joint. This is a hidden gem on NE Broadway.
I would recommend calling for reservations or be prepared to put your name on the wait list and then check out one of the nearby bars (Capitol is recommended) for a pre-meal cocktail.
The small restaurant is playfully adorned with copious faux flower arrangements in the entryway, the walls, the ceiling.
The staff is endearing and attentive. They seemed genuinely concerned that we didn’t finish our dishes (we had intentionally over-ordered to try several items) and hoped we had not disliked their food.
The cocktails are worth sampling. We both tried the Mai Tai which is fruity and flowery but not too sweet.
The two appetizers we tried were the tofu fresh rolls and shrimp cake. Little details like a small dollop of a hot pepper reduction behind the tofu rolls or shavings of Lychee on the salad accompanying the shrimp cakes highlight their attention to detail.
The Massaman short ribs were masterfully braised and fork tender with vegetables that were not overdone. The sauce was elevating.
The Pork Cha Shu was also perfectly cooked with its own delicious sauce.
The crème brûlée was prepared in a wide and shallow ramekin to maximize the upper sugary crust .
We will be back. I don’t know why it took us so long to visit here.
Waited 3 hours for average Thai food.
Arrived at 6:30pm on a Monday and were told there’s a 40 minute wait. We asked again at 7:25pm and they said another 35 minutes. We didn’t get seated until 8:30pm so we immediately ordered. Our food didn’t come out until 9:30pm.
I get that the kitchen was busy and we had to wait but THREE HOURS on a MONDAY is wild.
The food itself was very average. We ordered pad see ew and a curry. Nothing to write home about.
Good thing they’re open till midnight cuz you’ll be waiting a while! I won’t be coming back.
I would recommend packing a snack if you don’t have a reservation. Horrible service and seems to be very slow in every aspect. Was told different waiting times just to wait almost 3 hours. I eventually asked how much time was left to be seated and I saw my name and number were crossed off? She claimed she called us but never did and we were waiting by the stairs and I made eye contact with her multiple times… she said she would seat us within 5 minutes yet another 25 minutes went by and we left and I’m glad I did because from some of these other reviews the food is definitely not worth the wait. Also this was a Monday.
I waited 2.5 hours and was still unable to be seated. Each time we asked the hostess for a time frame to be seated she would lie. Initially she told us 40 minutes, then 30, then 5 minutes, then "oh we're clearing your table", then after 25 minutes of them "clearing our table" we asked her to be honest she admitted (with an attitude) it would be a long wait so we left. Again, 2.5 hours.. that is a LONG time to be waiting for a table. We should have left sooner but since the hostess kept telling us sooner times we were reluctant to leave because we thought it was just going to be a couple of minutes until we were seated. I understand restaurants get busy and that's okay, but I really don't appreciate being lied to and having my time wasted when I could have gone elsewhere and made a reservation for another day. It's extremely disappointing because I was so excited to try it here, but the service from the hostess was so bad that I will never go back.
Cute atmosphere. Charming waitstaff. We really liked that the chef came out and made sure we liked our food. They even held the door open for us when we left. You can tell these people have a lot of integrity and take pride in their restaurant. We loved eating here and only wish we were local to Portland so we could dine here more often. Great vegetarian options. Very accommodating.
This place is incredibly underrated. 10/10
A loving brother and sister! Amazing food too. Will return again!
It is a small adorable place, with really tasty food. The food quality was really good and the service was on point. Definitely recommend this place.
Oh, wow, I'm glad we discovered this restaurant! I am a Thai food lover and our dinner was top notch. One dish we shared was Pork Khao Soi from the secret menu. It was the best Khao Soi I've ever eaten. The Chicken Pad Thai was amazing, not overly sweet like others I've had. Chef Boyd came out and talked with us while we sat on the new outdoor seating area. Service was outstanding. We'll definitely be returning because we've found our new favorite Thai restaurant.
Place is cozy and food is yummy!
The food here is incredible and Chef B is so CHARMing!! We ate here during our first visit to Portland and we are so happy to have found it. We got the short rib masaman curry and drunken noodles and were absolutely blown away. Go eat there!!
Banging salad rolls under 8 bucks.
Avacacdo curry with shrimp was amazing. Wonderful atmosphere, presentation. I want their silverwear.
Pad grapao is the best place I’ve had in portland, and I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants here. Incredible food incredible service amazing spot.
Cute as can be, amazing staff! Owner visits each table to ensure everyone is delighted. All food at our table was amazing!
Fresh rolls were a lot of fun!
Went here for a mid week date night, will be back
Amazing food! Open until 12 AM 🤩
Charm Thai Restaurant is a hidden gem in Portland's Irvington neighborhood. The restaurant is small and intimate, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious.
The menu at Charm Thai Restaurant features a wide variety of traditional Thai dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Some of my favorites include the pad thai, the green curry, and the drunken noodles. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.
I highly recommend Charm Thai Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Thai meal. The food is simply amazing, and the service is top-notch. You won't be disappointed!
Here are some specific details about the food and service at Charm Thai Restaurant:
* The food is absolutely delicious. The flavors are bold and flavorful, and the dishes are cooked to perfection.
* The portions are generous. You won't leave hungry!
* The prices are very reasonable. You can get a delicious meal for a fraction of the price you'd pay at other Thai restaurants.
* The service is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to make recommendations.
Overall, Charm Thai Restaurant is a great place to go for a delicious and authentic Thai meal. The food is amazing, the service is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it!
The best Thai food I have ever had! Amazing, everything was so so good. I want to come back everyday!
Delicious and flavorful!
It was alright! The waitress was very nice and attentive. I ordered tea, fresh rolls, and Tom kha. The Tom kha had really yummy broth. The fresh rolls were unusual in that they had no cucumber, mint, cilantro, glass noodles, basically just a ton of lettuce and a piece of tofu. (I wouldn’t order those again and sad because that’s a favorite of mine). I did like the peanut sauce. My friend ordered the chicken yellow curry and loved it, another friend got the Thai iced tea and said it was one of the best he’d had. I would go back and give them another try. The presentation is nice and restaurant is clean so you can tell they care!
Amazing pad se ew and kind staff
Lovely decorations and delicious food with very friendly and attentive service. Excellent creative cocktails too.
Good menu options
Picked up take out. Small portions. Dry pad Thai noodles that seemed to have sat forever. Dessert sticky rice was very undercooked and bland. Will definitely not be going back. But the dining area did have gorgeous flowers.
Went there on Valentine’s Day and wasn’t allowed to order from regular menu. You could only get the $75 per person menu. We even called ahead of time and they made no mention of this, not on their website either. Highly disappointed.
They really should’ve told us about the amount of onions that’s in their Thai fried rice… it’s like a half a onion, which is alot!
Food was amazing! Service left something to be desired due to how busy it was but wouldn't keep me from coming back.
Lovely food. Lovelier people.
I honestly don't know how this place has so many five star reviews. I've eaten a lot of Thai food in my life and this was maybe the worst I've ever had. The food was so sloppily prepared, I could only eat maybe a third of my meal and spit out our appetizer. I don't know what these other reviewers were eating but everything we got was mediocre. In a city bursting with restaurants, I would most definitely skip this one.
The food and the attention is amazing. 💯 recommended.
Sophisticated and well-prepared Thai food in a lovely atmosphere. Everyone here shows great hospitality and kindness. I highly recommend this place for a date night. Beautiful location, great food and people.
It was okay. Not great. I had the pangang curry, not much flavor or heat. Price vs portion is not great. I'll probably give them another shot and try a different menu item in the future.
Everything we ordered was great. My wife and I dined in and enjoyed the aesthetic and vibe of the place. The waitress was very nice as well. Would recommend this new Thai place if you’re in the area!
We stayed near here so walked over for dinner. I had the panang curry which was good. My daughter had the pad see ew which tasted burnt and was not edible. We let our waitress know and she said that was traditional way to make it. I probably will not ever go back.
The ambieance was charming. The food was delicious, very simple and easy menu, the employee and the owner were very nice. If you like Thai food or want to try something new give them a shot, you won't regret it.
Wonderful food! Great quality, superb presentation, and super friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
Literally the best Thai food I have ever had! Presentation, taste, overall environment. All 5 stars! Wish I lived here so I could come back more often!
I have no idea why this place had an empty dining room on a Friday night. I came with a party of 9 people and everything we had was spectacular. Avocado Curry was bomb, so was the Tom Kha and Pork Cha shu. Hidden gem.
I travel a lot for work to different states and always try the local food, this place CHARM THAI in Portland, OR area is a must try. I mean the server is very patient, recommend few options, the food was quick, and the Pad Thai is just amazing and one of the best Pad Thai I ever had. I recommend who ever is around to try out this place. Finally, I finished my dinner and the owner came and talked to me for almost 20 minutes, we spoke about food, their culture and how they started the restaurant. Such a nice story, humble person and a positive vibe.
Charm Thai is a friendly, super cozy, and just nice place to dine. My Pad Thai had fresh ingredients and was one of the best I have eaten. The chicken was cooked perfectly! I highly recommend this new restaurant and will eat there again anytime I am in Portland
This is a fantastic new spot that should be your go-to for Thai in Portland. If you can dine in, the interior design is so cute, very instagramble. If you want takeout, GIRL THEY GOT U UNTIL MIDNIGHT!! Either way, you’ll get great service. Get the braised short rib. Get a dessert. Come back and do it again.
Very chic and intimate setting, friendly staff, but the food itself could use some tweaking. No spice levels here. The pad thai was very sweet, and the tofu was tough and chewy. When I overheard a neighboring table voice similar complaints about the sweetness, the server dismissed the comments, adding that they just needed to squeeze lime on the dish..
Friendly service, food was great. Highly recommend.
We just finished dinner here. The food was delicious! We all cleaned our plates! The dining room was so unique with flowers decorating the ceiling. The chef came out personally to ask us how our meal was. Please support this new neighborhood gem!
We had a very nice time here! The decor is lovely and the food was delicious. The people working there are very pleasant and friendly!
Dishes were simple and delicious. We had edamame, spring rolls, Tom Kha Soup, Drunken noodles with tofu. All very fresh and nicely presented. Very good service as well.
We came out on a 100 degree day, sat outside (our choice), and never saw the bottoms of our lemon water glasses.
