I was visiting Portland and apparently made it my goal to visit as many food pods as I could. My destination that day: BKK Thai. I don’t even like Pad Thai. It’s usually too oily and sweet for me but I decided to try it anyway. I was blown away 😳 The flavors were perfectly balanced, enough veggies to break up the noodles, and most importantly not too sweet. The Thai tea was the perfect accompaniment to wash it all down. I will say the Satay chicken was on the drier side and I could’ve done without but it didn’t take away from the amazingness of everything else.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the food, I rated it a 4 because, while great, it didn't quite surpass my favorite Thai spot in Portland. Nonetheless, it was an overall fantastic experience.

This was the cart I was most excited to try at cartopia. I patiently waiting for them to open. I absolutely love a great chicken pad Thai... Unfortunately I did not get that here. Everything was reheat and serve. The rice noodles ( which take only a couple minutes to cook ) weren't fresh. And were riddled with nasty tofu. I can't stand tofu; and this was not supposed to be in my order! The sauce was ok I guess. The Sriracha avocado I paid extra for didn't taste like anything but avocado. The biggest let down was the chicken. Two tiny OLD dry flavorless prices of chicken seriously? Nothing took long to cook that I ordered. For 18 bucks I really didn't expect old, left over reheated food. You would be very angry if you were served that after you went out of your way to eat somewhere. I hope this review inspires you to try harder; Cause you won't last long serving the kind of food. Oh. I picked out all the burnt egg and tofu so you can see what I'm talking about. And the clumps of hard, reheated rice noodles.

Love the Thai tofu fried rice here - the cucumbers are marinated and it makes the entire dish delicious. My other favorite is the street Pad Thai.

This place has the best pad thai I’ve ever had. It never misses and the amount of food is perfect. Their thai iced tea and spring rolls are also delicious. Couldn’t recommend more.

I have had my share of Thai food all over the world, including Thailand.

This is the worst ever. Pad thai was literally red with tomato sauce kind of sauce. Ordered chicken pad thai and it had tofu in it and then a chicken skewer on top. The food tasted awful.

Even the chicken was flavourless.

It is an overpriced horrible food at a very good location.

Stay away from it.

Only decent thing is that the person running the cart was very cordial and friendly, i could not say all this on his face.

Delicious vegan pad thai.

Me and my husband don’t miss to order here in BKK whenever we go to Cartopia and crave for pad thai.Our favorites are Chicken satay Pad Thai, chicken satay fried rice, Tofu fried rice and our new one Lumpia- homemade pork spring rolls. My husband likes it so much and said the best lumpia he ever had. It is a must try!

This place had amazing staff. Food was really amazing. I ordered the phad thai and it was pretty ok. They gave me a lot of toppings but the noodles reminded me of a bad instant ramen. 4stars because of that. I would recommend moore places than others.

Went here this afternoon, had the chicken satay pad thai and I have to say it was gorgeous. Lots of chicken, noodles, crunchy veg, ground peanuts and tofu. Plus tasty satay sauce. Well worth the money.

I ordered the chicken pad Thai the taste was okay I guess and I am not sure why there was tofu in my food. I don’t eat tofu or never have. It’s very misleading. And barely any children in my order. Just look at the picture. This for $15 is not worth it.

My Girlfriend ate here a few days ago. We got home a few hours later. She proceeded to vomit off and on for 16 hours. The doctor thinks she must have eaten rotten food. It took her 3 days to recover. So if you want risk vomiting for half a day try this place out.

I couldn't finish the meal it was so gross. Within two hours I was sick. In seven hours after eating here, I ended up in urgent care for food poisoning. Doctor thinks I ate rotten chicken since it’s the only thing I ate that day, and the texture and flavor were poor. Not only was the food not good at all, but now I get to spend the next 48 hours vomiting it up.

ETA: I lost four days of work because of the old, reheated, ROTTEN food BKK serves from their "warming trays." Dude, pad thai and satay were literally made to be cooked up quick, hot and FRESH. BKK, DO BETTER!

Street Pad Thai had flavour, however noodles were all stuck in one large clump.

It will hit the spot but that's about it.

Worst service ever! I ordered and had to wait close to 40 mins to get my food which wasn't even tasty. Everyone was frustrated and check up on their order several times.

Went there to install a fire extinguisher when I was done I thought I’d grab a quick lunch with them haven’t had much Thai food before but thought I would try it it’s pretty good actually it’s very good would recommend it if you’re a vegetarian and you like Thai food stop by and get grab something to eat there. The girls that run the cart are really nice and professional.

We love this place! All of their vegan food is amazing including the plant based pad Thai, curry puffs, and veg rolls. We go here all the time and the quality is consistent and they're always great with allergies for me.

Best Pad Thai I’ve had in multiple US and Canadian cities. Other than great flavours, the addition of fresh veggies (carrots, green onions, bean sprouts, and cabbage) added beautiful textures and made the meal a lot lighter and pleasant than most Pad Thais. The spring rolls were also very fresh and delish and some of the best.

Well above average Pad Thai, and the satay skewer and peanut sauce were delicious.

Come hungry or with a friend cause the portions are very generous. My go-to is the Chicken Pad Thai but tried the egg fried rice this time and it was very flavorful! I will be recommending that to friends now, as well.

I can't wait to go back. We went to the Core location on 82nd and got the crispy chicken Pad Thai and curry puffs. The pad thai comes with a little container of spicy (but not too spicy) sauce. It makes the pad thai irresistible. I usually save part of the meal for the next day, but I couldn't stop eating it. And the curry Puffs were fantastic.
Their menu is limited but I'm grateful for that. I could see eating here everyday.

Only had the chicken satay, but my experience with that was excellent: delicious, great quantity, well spiced, and super fast and friendly service. Definitely want to come back for a full meal!

Our food came out very quick, and while I got the chicken my friend got a vegetarian version with the UNCUT chicken. I thought it tasted pretty good as well. With all the vegan/GF options, I'll definitely be recommended this place to other friends.

I was shocked at how good the vegan pad thai was. Perfect texture, very large portion. They also use a vegan chicken which is pretty good as vegan chicken goes. I think the brand is “uncut.” I asked for the pad thai extra spicy and they were able to deliver. Last thing, they also have a vegan Thai iced tea which is perfect, not overly sweet like most Thai iced tea. So refreshing. I’m not sure what kind of milk replacement it was, I should have asked. Anyway 10/10 I’ll be coming back

Sadly no good, they literally just gave me tofu and broccoli, with a sprinkle of noodles. And my order wasn’t suppose to come with the tofu so I had a lunch less lunch 😂 also flavor was a 5/10

They’re not allergy/food sensitivity friendly and will not adhere to requests to leave things out. I asked for no peanuts, they gave me peanuts, I kindly returned and reminded that I asked for no peanuts- they rudely said they would remake my dish. When I got the dish it was very obvious they just scoop the peanuts out and there was still a couple at the bottom. I wish I could take my tip back. If you can’t or won’t adhere to requests like this, please just be up front when someone asks. I had a whole conversation with your cashier about to to double and triple check before ordering.

BKK Pad Thai is a food cart in the Cartopia Food Cart Pod. This is some of the best pad Thai I have had. It was delicious and I will go back for more.
The only downside is that there is limited seating and very little heated seating. But this falls on the pod itself and not BKK. The food was great and the service amazing.

Been here a few times as always wanting to eat their best pad thai. All the other food in their menu also never fail to make your taste buds happy. Will want to eat more pad thais here.

Really wanted to like it, but this pad Thai was literally inedible. SO sticky and dry, I literally couldn’t chew. I had to swallow noodles whole. Took about four “bites” before I decided it was inedible. Pic is how much was tossed out...and I HATE wasting food. And leaving bad reviews. 😬 on the bright side, the Thai tea was really good. Overall though a waste of money sigh

I usually get food from here, at least twice a week. I love, love, love their pad thai. They also have awesome chicken skewers. The peanut sauce is to die for. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys pad thai as much as I do. If you get the chicken skewers get extra peanut sauce. Trust me. It's addicting haha. Even if you have some left over, you will find something to dip into it.

Pad Thai wasn’t necessarily what I was used to but wasn’t bad. Staff was super friendly. Was caught a little off guard by the mostly vegetarian options. No real chicken pad Thai option. Was a bit annoyed that they sold me a “chicken” pad Thai that was really just chicken satay with peanut sauce on top of the plant based pad Thai. Wish they would’ve mentioned that. Noodles are more angel hair style then what I’m used to.

Don't be deterred by the small menu or the "Plant Based Pad Thai." It's a small menu but what they have they do INCREDIBLY well. This place is amazing with delicious flavors and a twist on the street food classic. If you're not a vegetarian and don't only want the UNCUT chicken (which is delicious vegetarian protein that tastes like fried chicken), then you can get the chicken skewers on the side which were cooked PERFECTLY.

Yummy stuff! Filling and hearty, they’ve got a small menu that aims to hit the spot, and they really do. This is *flavorful* pad Thai, rich and almost smoky, really stands out from the rest.
