House curry medium heat is delicious and the salad rolls were massive! Excellent thai food I can't wait to order more!

Wasn’t open had to come back the next day. I expect service with a smile whenever I am a customer at any store or restaurant and the lady didn’t even acknowledge me I had to get her attention. Served my food with container open so it wasted instead of the bag drowning the utensils and napkins. When I took it back she place the original container inside of a bigger container and asked if I still needed a bag. Food was not good neither was the experience. I will not eat there again.

Delicious food, and generous portions which is really nice. Nancy always so nice. Love the eggplant in the red curry!

Diner Review №4

I absolutely love this place! I'm a regular that goes here on my lunch breaks or before work. I've taken my wife here once and she loved it! My work friend showed me this place about 2 and half years ago. Ever since we have been going to this place. Nancy is really sweet as well. So there is excellent customer Service.

This is the worst thai food I have tried. I ordered the pao kee Mao and it had absolutely no sauce. It was so dry and there wad barely any vegetables or chicken in it. I did come at 930 pm, 30 minutes before closing and I understand getting close to that 10 o'clock close mark but damn this was so disappointing. I never eat out and spent $14 on straight trash. Don't go here.

Only tried the Pad Thai so far, but the flavor was top notch super tasty, good portion size, and the lady at the window was so, so friendly. Look forward to going back.

Bai Yok Thai Food is amazing. I started going here back in 2004 when it was still Bai Yok Thai Cuisine. I went there for years, then moved away. 4 years later, I was back in Portland and made sure to stop by. Nancy, the owner, remembered me after all that time away, and even remembered what my favorite dish was. This is one reason why I give her 5 🌟 for service.
Her food is absolutely delicious and made fresh, and is truly 5 🌟 in my opinion. I've had Thai food in most of the states, and it's not very often I consider food to be 5 🌟. This location definitely does.
If you haven't been here, you are missing out.

Diner Review №11

Haven't tried this place before today. Its very flavorful but not overwhelming. The spice is on point. Served streaming hot and quickly. Large portions at a reasonable price. I will definitely be back in the future.

I got curry fried rice with chicken and my dad got pineapple fried rice with beef.

Diner Review №13

The kindest, most hard working lady quickly cranks out amazing dishes every time. Huge fan and loyal customer.

Diner Review №14

My go-to place for Thai food in East Portland. Nancy is the best, her food is delicious and homemade, she works very hard day and night… and if she ever gets that fried chicken going like in the brick and mortar Bai Yok days (RIP) it’s going to be GAME OVER! Loving the green curry, the Rangoon, all the noodles til then! Haven’t had a bad meal here and I’ve ordered from her at least two dozen times!

Nice sweet woman! Fresh food. Best Thai tea in the city!! I wanted 2 more after the 1st. Haha.

Diner Review №16

Nancy was very impatient and rude to the colored folks, but changed her approach when me and my white husband ordered. Everyone should be treated equally!

First time here, got some Rangoon and a noodle dish. Meant to take pics before I dug in, but I was starving and it smelled so good. The entire white bag was filled with Rangoon and I had already eaten some noodles.
Everything was delicious!

Diner Review №24

It was okay. The crab Rangoon was not properly folded, or folded at all really, but the flavor was good and she gave us extra. I really enjoyed their peanut sauce it was very good. The salad rolls were just okay. The communication was also not great but she might have been super busy.

Nothing extraordinary about their House Curry, I suspect they use curry paste

If you are looking for something bland and without flavor, have I got the place for you!

I saw the good reviews and was excited to try this place, but was really disappointed. I'm honestly confused how they got such good reviews if this is their normal food quality. I hope today was a mistake. It sure feels like one to me.

I ordered medium spice on my drunken noodles and it is completely flavorless. My food is completely lacking in sauces or flavors, and has almost no vegetables either. Usually this is a meal that's a little spicy even when it's mild, so I'm confused at the complete lack of flavor.

I also noticed they left my fried food to sit out uncovered while my entree finished cooking, so the appetizers were nearly cold by the time I got them.
I didn't end up eating the food because it was so unflavored (this was a treat for me, I don't normally eat out, so I'm extra bummed to have wasted my money).
Though the prices are reasonable, if you do like bland foods.
The people here seemed nice, so I really wish I could review better, but the food was unfortunately not tasty.

This is the best Pad Thai in NE Portland. Had to get it twice in a week! Flavor is excellent and the cook is a lovely human being. When I picked up a my togo order last night, she sent me home with free egg rolls (5-star) as well. #classy. Looking forward to exploring more things on the menu!

This place goes hard

Diner Review №31

Great food from a really genuine cook. Try asking for curry noodles, they're delicious.

Diner Review №32

Diner Review №33

Delicious vegan tofu salad rolls at a great price, tons of peanut sauce! There are covered picnic tables and a fire pit, with beer/wine/cider available from the cart next door. Can’t wait to come back and try another dish!

Diner Review №34

So good! Highly recommend the noodle dishes! Will definitely be coming back soon 😋

Diner Review №35

Best food cart I've eaten at.....Nancy is an amazing cook!

Diner Review №36

So glad to see that Bai Yok is back as a food cart after the original building burnt down in a fire quite a few yeas back. Her evil jungle noodles is one of my favorite dishes of all time! It hasn't been posted on the menu, but she still lets us order it whenever we visit.

FIRE! This is the same one that was located on this land prior!

After the fire on the same land i was glad to see the owner back in business in the Same place but with a new food cart.

I found out her son had just joined the US Military and she had to deal with this fire alone..

If you eat here please share a good review to help her grow her new venture.

Diner Review №39

Real good standard Thai, large portions, extremely friendly.

Diner Review №40

Pineapple fried rice was amazing. Full of flavor, a lil spicy, a lil umami, juicy shrimp. LOVE! And the crab Rangoon had the perfect crispy edges with a nice sweet touch to the filling.

Definitely coming back!

Diner Review №41

The pad Kee mao with chicken was delicious! Fast and friendly service! Reasonable prices. Will definitely be coming back!

Diner Review №42

Amazing authentic and delicious food. It's one of the things not places in town that does gluten free soy sauce. Nancy is a gem!

Diner Review №44

Delicious food and friendly service. Definitely my go-to for Thai food! Especially pleased that she is back after her restaurant was sadly burned down at this same location several years ago (due to trespasser activity). It's great to have a semblance of resurrection for her business.
