Based in Eugene, OR - Ubon Thai Kitchen is a craft filled eatery with a casual atmosphere, great Thai cuisine, and friendly service. Home of the renowned "Eugene Pad Thai" - healthy, authentic, and delicious Asian cuisine. You can even order online from Grub Hub, Doordash, or Direct.
My partner and I stopped here on our way to Portland recently and it was so good. I ordered the red curry dish and my partner ordered the pad thai. They do not mess around about their spice levels, so be cautious when deciding your spice level. All around the flavors were absolutely divine and our food arrived very quickly. The place itself is very cute and has a lot of art to look at/purchase. Would definitely stop here again on our travels.
Amazing Thai place in the middle of Eugene. Despite the extensive menu, our food came out unbelievably fast. It felt like 5 minutes before our meals and appetizer came out, hot and ready to eat. Prices are nice, and they have some interesting options I haven't seen before such as avocado curry. Cheese wontons were my favorite part of the meal and I highly recommend them. Love the heat scale here, and even though the avocado curry wasn't my favorite I'm sure I'll be back here before long. The ambience alone make it worth a visit for a nice lunch or dinner.
Good price, lot of options, extremely fast service, and beautiful outdoor seating make this a great meal option just outside of the downtown core.
Our first time here! We dined in and loved all the art for sale inside! If you are looking for a thoughtful present, I would definitely recommend the art and sculptures they have there! So beautiful! And the food was great! They had like a little room you could eat in with a beautiful table! It was about $14, $15 a plate. We will be back!
Today, I bought Original Pad Thai with Chicken. I also bought extra peanut sauce & also a deep fried Spring Roll with a scrumptious dipping sauce. My dining partner today, had the same as I did & we shared the deep fried Spring Roll. Honestly, if I could eat here every day I would.
Last time I went, my Son got the Eugene Pad Thai & my Daughter in Law, got the Special Pad Thai. We also shared fresh salad rolls. They NEVER, EVER, disappoint & their portions are huge. So many choices to have in your Pad Thai too. Chicken, Tofu, Pork & mixed Veggies are free in your Pad Thai. The add ons, for a small upcharge, are Shrimp, Beef, Scallops, Salmon & Squid. I eat half & take half home. I always get the Chicken in my Pad Thai & its consistantly, all premium breast meat, never any fat or gristle & the entire delicious meal, just melts in your mouth. I know, folks talk a lot, about other places, which have a longtime standing, in this community, but if y'all tried Ubon Thai Kitchen, you would forever be hooked. The prices are lower. The portions are larger & the highest quality of ingredients are always used. I am a forever fan & now my Son & his Wife are too!
Love this place! I try and order different things when I go, but I often end up with the Cashew Stir Fry with a protein. I love it so much. The owners are super awesome and I've talked to the husband multiple times in the past. This last visit the guy working was really friendly. It wasn't busy yet, so we talked to him for a bit while ordering. Just a genuinely nice guy. I didn't catch his name though. The food comes out quickly and hot. If you like spicy, I recommend starting with a medium. It's fairly spicy for the average person. I think it's a bit hotter than most mediums, but I enjoy it quite a bit. They also have a fantastic outdoor seating area during the spring and summer. Inside there is a neat little bay room to sit in and eat and they also have a tv at the bar that usually has sports on it. My favorite sit down Thai place in Eugene and one of my two favorite Thai places in Eugene.
Lots of indoor and some outdoor seating. The woman taking our orders was very pleasant. You take a number, find a spot and wait for your food to come.
The food was pretty good; I tried the special pad Thai with beef and pork which was actually a little bit too much for me. We also tried the Cashiew tofu stir fry: also good. Still, I guess Thai food isn't my favorite as I would prefer to have something else overall.
They have hot Jasmine tea which complements the food well. A nice experience all things considered; I'll probably end up here again sometime.
Staff was great. Very welcoming atmosphere all around. Food presentation was great! Spicy level for food is accurate. Over all on food it was good not great but not bad. Dessert was good. Tamarind sauce was overpowering. Very sugary and watery. The jungle noodles were okay. The spiciness overpowered the plate, if there was any flavor to begin within.
Good food, nice people what's not to like? And they are consistent
I love their food! I came here for year! Love the owners, they built this business from food truck dates.. Which I ate there since they were there.
But I want to give no star for service. This waitress was harassing us for being our birthday cake? And said “ it the lawyer you need to follow.” And us like what?! we looked up the Oregon food service LAW. It didn’t say that. I’m sorry to say that!
The fact is, she keeps coming back and look at us really nasty! We are customers we are not need to treat like this way. And we spent 20+ per person!!
I hope the owner say this post and do something about this old lady. Go back if they want have customers come back. Especially long time customers who always been there for It was them.
FYI when we were leaving, she said “ you guys need to follow what we said and the rule. “
Delicious food came quickly the staff was very friendly
Best Thai in Eugene!
Nice staff, good food, and a cute lil spot to eat and drink
Still the best place for grab & growl!! I've only ate in three times, but almost once a week I get an order for pickup. Occasionally human error plays a part, but 98% of the time; tip top, cream of the crop, Ubon Thai, and there we stop!
I ordered the Tofu pad Thai and specifically stated I'd like it to be made vegan multiple times, as Ubon is has been accommodating in the past, but when I got home after a few bites I noticed egg in the dish. This makes me feel like I can't trust what else they might be adding or failing to mention isn't vegan, they offered to remake the order after I came back, but the whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth that can be fixed by going to the many other Thai restaurants that take these things seriously. A refund was given, but I feel shorted for the time lost.
I enjoyed the Panang Chicken Curry, fried spring roll, and chicken satay. All of it was fresh, hot, and flavorful without being too salty. I particularly loved the mango sticky rice, which had coconut cream, perfectly prepared (not too sweet) rice, and a generous amount of ripe, soft mango. The sauces that came with the dish were multidimensional. I will definitely be a repeat customer if this quality is maintained!
Portion size was on the smaller side but still big enough to be satiated. High quality, highly recommend 👌
A charming little place with great food.
They just closed when I showed up to get our food. They were friendly and did not rush me out the door. They were very nice.
We went to Ubon one night at 8:30, thirty minutes before they closed. They very graciously allowed us in, and well after nine, we were on the patio, and even though they had closed the rest of the restaurant, they made sure to keep our section open and never hurried us once in spoken or unspoken ways. We had gotten lost in conversation and realized it was 9:45. They were very hospitable the entire time.
The food was absolutely spectacular as well, and arrived quite soon (which was great because we were starving lol). Couldn't have been more impressed by the vibe, service and food at Ubon!
The Pad Thai dish I had was delicious! Almost downed the whole container and still have lunch for tomorrow. Will definitely be back.
Everything we’ve eaten here has been very good.
I have noticed as the prices increase, the portions are getting smaller.
Decent Thai food.
It's one of my favorite places to eat! They are always so kind and fast. If you get the chance to come in and sit down, I highly recommend it. They have lots of trinkets to purchase inside and some nice seating as well, plus they always play some good music.
Took Mom here for a late Mother’s Day dinner before our long drive and we were delighted with Ubon. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the service was great. We were warned ahead of time that the wait for food might be long but it was reasonable and we appreciated the heads up. My brother’s dish was not as spicy as he ordered but that was quickly resolved with a side of Thai siracha. Will definitely be back when we return to Eugene!
Great service nice place but unfortunately our portion was insanely small. The spring rolls were $8 for 2 tiny spring rolls which is insane. The spring rolls were consumed by a huge bed of romaine like spilling out of the container. The portion for $15 for the meal was half the size container as it was a few months ago. We both got the pumpkin curry and in each dish had 3 small pinkie size slices of pumpkin. Super dissapointed and cant justify coming back with so many other thai options. This use to be our goto for thai food but not anymore. The flavor was good overall but again not for the price.
Best Thai food ever!! I don’t venture on the menu as I have my favorite dish and it’s my treat💛but it is consistently good time and time again for over 10years🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thanks for being the best and killing for Thai food you all rock from food to atmosphere👊
Best thai food in town with the best prices. Tons of options for anyone who's vegetarian. Can't go wrong with a side of the fried tofu here, hits the spot
My favorite Thai place in Lane county
Great tasting food. Be aware that the spice levels are different than other restaurants.
My only complaint is the their take-out portions have been getting smaller and smaller. Last time, each of our containers was less than half full and mostly carrots.
Bar None, the very best Thai food in the entire Willamette Valley!!
Excellent, Authentic, Presentation, flavors were delicate yet distinct with delightful staff. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
The food is so so good but the gal that answered the phone tonight to take our orders was not very nice. Kind of rude actually. That’s a bummer.
Pad thai was pretty decent, glass noodle stir fry was OK, paid extra for shrimp, got 3...
Salad rolls were the most bland, boiled chicken and 0 seasoning. Don't know if that's how they're supposed to be, but not how I thought they'd be.
Best Pad Thai & peanut sauce I've tried in Eugene! I always get extra peanut sauce, too. Great people working there, always a friendly face & can offer help in ordering & with spice levels. I quickly became a regular & often stop in during the summer on our way out to the coast to grab lunch for picnics by the beach.🏖
Bathroom is in need of a major upgrade. Black mold all inside the crevices of the floor 🤢 Also reeks of mildew.
I really love this place, the peanut sauce is definitely one of the best parts but everything I've ordered so far has been amazing!
don't miss out on the larb salad. I got medium plus on the heat level and it is amazing. hot hot. but so good. Definitely in the running for best thai place in town in my opinion.
Place is clean, ok atmosphere. The food we got was edible but I wouldn’t call it good. Ordered the “jungle rice” - the rice was cooked to the consistency of glue paste. It had bits of charred rice in it. There was only 2-3 of each vegetable that was listed on the menu for the dish and the vegetables were cut tiny. So it was mostly over cooked rice. Chicken was dry and flavorless. Dish was overall flavorless with a hint of …soy sauce. Dish was greasy.
Yellow curry dish my husband had was edible but not great. Not flavorful just spicy. Nothing green or no great presentation just a blob of white rice surrounded by large chunks of potato in a yellow-y beige sauce.
Restaurant would do better to cut 1/3 of the dishes offered on the menu and focus on the food taste and presentation of the remaining dishes.
We won’t be going back.
My partner and I stopped here on our way to Portland recently and it was so good. I ordered the red curry dish and my partner ordered the pad thai. They do not mess around about their spice levels, so be cautious when deciding your spice level. All around the flavors were absolutely divine and our food arrived very quickly. Hard to describe the vibe of this place where the walls are covered with an eclectic selection of art imported from Bali and the smell of wonderful Thai cuisine infuses the rooms so check out the pictures too. A great place to spend a cold dreary afternoon with friends and family.
Food was delicious and fast. Great customer service! Definitely recommend
Very cute little restaurant staff were very responsive. Food came quickly And what's quite tasty all in all. I would recommend this place.
Great massaman curry. Haven't been there since just after they moved from Hwy 99. Glad to see they seem to be doing well and still making excellent food.
Always great when we go here, that's why they've been around so long!
Disappointed. Food was sitting in oil and tasted like dirty pans. Peanut sauce was cold and grainy.
Pad Thai was delicious!!
Take the time to look at the unique items for sale throughout.
Food was not good at all. Better off going to Sabai. I also ordered chicken wings & they were all skin and bone literally no meat. Total rip off.
Ubon has been good alternative to some of the other locations around town.
But unfortunately their food has not kept up with their prices. They're nearing charging Ta Ra Rin prices, with Tasty Thai food. It just doesn't line up. But my four stars comes from the service.
The woman on the phone was very kind, easy to talk to, and had a comedic touch that made me want to write a review.
Then when I walked in to pick up the food, it was even better. Great conversation, easy to work with, and got me all the extra stuff I needed quickly. Slipped in a couple jokes and seemed very genuine. She was a red haired woman, overall just a cool gal. So I applaud her service. My family and I called into Ta Ra a while back, and the woman on the phone was horrible to my mom. So thank you Ubon for having way better folks on your team.
The food was delicious! I usually don't eat the peanut sauce, but this was so delicious. You could tell they made it from scratch. Will be taking family and friends here.
My favorite Thai place in town! The prices are good, the servings are generous, and the staff is very friendly, but most importantly the flavors are delicious. Their spicy peanut sauce is great, especially on the pad thai. The tom kha is another particular favorite, but I've never had anything I didn't like! Lovely outdoor seating area, too.
I’m… confused. This is by far the worst Thai food I have ever had. I have no grudge against the staff or anything, had no issues with anything there. It all went well until I actually got the food. It was just… unfathomably bad. No exaggeration here - the curries were 90% water, and the lettuce wrap filler was almost literally beef vegetable soup. How is that supposed to work? It doesn’t even taste like Thai food. Honestly just so confused at how what we ordered translated to what came in the bag(?). It’s the kind of quality you could expect from a summer camp feeding 200 people… for free. Just a bizarre experience.
I was excited to eat here after reading all of the positive reviews, but it was the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. The curry was watery, not spicy, and the lettuce wrap sauce smelled like the sea. I’m honestly baffled by all of the great reviews. Customer service over the phone was excellent though. I never leave one star reviews, but I wouldn’t want anyone else to have that experience :(
Amazing food! This has been a go to for my family a lot recently. Our only complaint is the portions are on the smaller side compared to other Thai restaurants especially factoring in the price per dish. Other than that amazing
No air conditioning....too hot!!!
Lady taking orders was rude. Sorry to say I won't go back.
Food taste not that bad
If they can give little more portion
Its good for them
And customer service need to be more welcoming i guess
Lot of food silections than other thai places and place looks good and clean
They have interesting spicy levels dont be afraid to try hottest meal its not that hot as they mention.
good quality but meager portions. the smallest take-out container was only 2/3 full of the stir fry, and the noodle take was insufficient. small portions may be justified if exceptional, but this is not.
Always have a good experience whenever I come here! They also have delicious food. Been there so many times that they recognize me absolutely love it!
Amazing food with great spice! Friendly atmosphere with attentive staff.
Patio is awesome
We'd go back .
The food was definitely good, but being our first time ordering here, we thought 'medium' spicy might be more median than on the level of fire out the a**. I enjoy spicy, but I can't imagine how hot anything over that could be. I regularly pick up here for delivery, and it's consistently quick and never a long wait in the few instances where the food isn't already done. We will go back, but obviously we'll probably start at mild and add our own level of spice so I don't have to get up multiple times in the night to lay out lava. Really decent pricing, got an appetizer, 2 dishes and 2 Thai teas for $45.
Good luck with DoorDash orders. Didn’t get some jungle fried rice, when DoorDash went to reprocess a new order it showed the restaurant no longer accepting orders. When I called the gentlemen put me on hold twice while he said technical issues then offered to make the food for pickup or have DoorDash compensate. I spoke for a moment with my fiancé to see if we were going to get it and when I came back on the phone the gentlemen had either transferred me or put me on hold with an automatic system. Terrible experience all around.

Good good good!!
Ubon Thai is a restaurant we have on repeat we go and then we go again. Tell a homie because we wanna party for breakfast. only complaint is they need to extend hours and work all days
One of my favs for pad thai
fav thai in town
this is one of the best thai places i’ve ever been to. the tom ka and red curry were a 10/10. the only reason i’m not giving 5 stars is bc i think their spice scale is a little off. my medium was packing HEAT, and that’s coming from someone who regularly uses habanero hot sauce. i think they could stand to adjust it for that reason, but it was seriously so delicious regardless!! also, the ambience is amazing and they have the cutest outdoor area. lots of thought was put into the dish wear, furniture and decor. kudos to the owner(s) for that reason. you have a beautiful restaurant.
Best pad thai I’ve ever had obsessed and addicted!
Good food, good customer service.

This is a fantastic Restaurant. I have every reason to believe you'll enjoy it. They have sun room seating, Brown rice that's actually Brown, and service that's impeccable.
Absolutely Stellar!!! We just keep coming back. My whole family loves this place. There are a ton of things I want to try on the menu but I can't keep myself from ordering the Jungle fried rice everytime. It's so flipping delicious!! The staff are always really friendly. It's always clean. They are really fast for the level of food they serve. Great job 🙌❤️
Simply 1 of the best Thai food in the Eugene area.
Pretty average Thai food. Probably won't go again.
Loved everything especially the service we received by Cassie!
Hidden gem of Eugene. Unassuming from the road, but once you walk in, it's really special.
Вкусная еда, приятные цены, большой выбор, но грустненькая атмосфера. Было очень пусто, никакой музыки, ничего:(
Great Thai food on an inland boat. They set the bar for home based Thai around here with an adaptive menu and beer
Very tasty and fast! Was exactly what we were looking for. Had chicken pad Thai, pad se-ew and jungle fried rice all between 1-2 on spice level. They can make things crazy spicy! The staff is so nice and the prices are good for the portions! We'll be back!
Small portion for the price and the spring rolls tasted funny.
We absolutely love this place. Never had a bad meal. We don't get to Eugene often, but when we do, we keep Ubon high in our rotation.
I consider, this particular Tai Food Restaurant, as being one of the best, if not the best, Tai Food Restaurant, in Eugene, Oregon, at the top of my list....
If you're a Sea Food Lover, I highly recommend, the Stir Fry Glass Noodles, with Sea Food...❤️
Honestly really disappointing. Noodles came super slimy and barely filled the takeout box half way. I’ve heard this place used to be really good when the original owners worked, and now it’s just the kids that run it. Disgusting pad Thai. Seriously, not worth spending your money here.
side of sticky rice came in microwaved plastic wrap and inedible, the "peanut sauce" is watery and NOT peanuty, the spring rolls were super chewy and were 90% lettuce... the pad thai was ok but not worth the price.
Great food and friendly service. Pad kemao and calamari was fantastic
Authentic Thai food. I had the glass noodles. Full plate, helpful staff. Absolutely beautiful setting outside with fountain and stone work. Inside was nicely done as well. The front street side doesn't do the place justice.
Absolutely delicious
Excellent curry, large menu but look in advance if you are unsure, because it is large.
This place was recommended to me by a friend, and now I cannot recommend it enough to other people! In my opinion Ubon is the best Thai in Eugene. I get the Glass Noodle Stir Fry, which is perfectly coated in sauce with delicious colorful vegetables. The Pad Thai is also very good, especially at the spice level 2 (although the spice is no joke!). Have not dined in yet but have hopes to in the future.
Delicious! Always get such great service & food 🙂
Ok Vegan food!! We ordered Vegan food, we felt taste was ok!
Really good Thai that can be as spicy as you want to be. They offer a variety of seafood too.
We used to LOVE it here! Back before covid changed everything. Now their focus is on to go orders and door dash. Nobody even serves your table anymore - you get your own waters, you bus your own table. We decided to dine in this time and were one of just a few tables dining inside the actual restaurant Sunday - we waited over an hour for our food and we had to ask when it was coming. One of our kids was literally in tears because we sat there so long. Our plates finally came and they were so skimpy. It looked honestly like they plucked it off another order and sprinkle it into our plates! We've been eating here for years, this was not the same. My pumpkin curry tasted so salty :( Idk what's going on but if in house customers aren't treated as a priority then they're lost forever.
Outstanding food. They said 10 min for pick-up, we were there in 15... it took 35! Allow extra time!
I ate there yesterday and it gave me stomach cramps and diarrhea within an hour. Went right through me. Tasted OK, but wow! I won't be back. I called and told them last night. They took my info, but didn't call me back. Something is wrong here.
I was disappointed by the lack of flavor. The enticing outdoor patio was also closed to my dismay. I saved my appetite for the fries next door.
Great food and service. Not a Long wait either
Fast preparation but the food is really not great. 2nd time I've eaten there (went back because I thought the first time was a fluke)
Friendly service. Tasty dishes with a challenging spice scale. Good drinks too.
Great experience good Thia food in Eugene Oregon. Bathrooms were clean. We got a lot of food. Service was a little slow but I understand staffing issues. Not all dishes needed to be spicy. Much better then the seafood place.
Delicious
Delicious, decent price and quantity, fast
This place is GREAT! Been dining at Ubon for many years & its good every single time 😌! Very nice staff great ya upon your arrival & seem anxious to serve a fabulous meal. Thank you Ubon Thai!
Always my go to Thai spot. Consistent, tasty, food. Update: Portions have gotten smaller, prices appear to have gone up...overall value, is declining.
Best pad Thai in Eugene
delicious food and fast, friendly service
Since leaving Eugene I have realized what a gem this place is. I have yet to find Thai half as good. Really miss the food here. You can’t go wrong with anything you order from here, even the drinks are super good.
Nothing to complain. Just tasty food.
Great food at a reasonable price.
The food is delicious! I ordered on grubhub and it came still very hot and packaged well. Everything tastes so freshly made and very flavorful! I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place has the best pad see ew in Eugene!!!! They were able to make it vegan too and the flavor was still excellent. Can’t believe I had never been there before, this is my new favorite Thai restaurant in town !
Super delicious, super reasonable prices, very nice staff who seem to care.
It is OK, but not outstanding. We like the Thai restaurant across the street - Chao Pra Ya - but thought we'd try something different. We prefer a full service restaurant where they seat you, take your order, bring your food, etc. This is a hybrid.
Yesterday 10.17.21, at 5pm, my wife stated she would like to have some Thai food for dinner. We have not eaten any Thai food since Charlie and his wife sold their cart 1 1/2 years ago. So, my wife said she had heard that UBon was OK. She went online to order 3 different dishes. Price stated was $9.00 each. When she picked up the order it was $12.00 each. Hmmmmm. My order was for Pad Thai with #4.
After a 10 mile drive she got home, we opened our meals, she had asked for yakisoba on each dish, no . Lets focus on my dish as thats where I got Food Poisoning. I opened my dish, it smelled good, I first tried a shrimp , the sauce tasted good, however, the shrimp was tough, I could barely chew it, I could tell the shrimp was freezer burnt. I spit it out, I tried another , (4), same thing. Things only get worse. My veggies were not even cooked. My dish was the WORST I have EVER had. I threw mine in the garbage because thats what it was. Now my wife and her friends food was OK, (it was a different dish). It only gets worse. I went to bed at 9pm. I awoke at 12pm with SEVERE stomach cramping, SEVERE diarrhea. Terrible stomach cramping bending me over at times. On and off the toilet 2-4 times an hour from 12pm until 7am. I slept until noon today and it looks like it has passed. I tried calling the restaurant but the female owner is not answering. No email contact. I will never eat there again, Bar None, and I will spread my experience to thousands of people. My wife works for the Lane County Sheriffs Dept. and she will spread the word there, BEWARE. I write opinion columns for various publications, I will spread the word to thousands, BEWARE.
10/19 update: I called the Lane County Health Dept. and spoke to a food inspector. They took my report and said they would do an inspection | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Cramps
Food was OK. We were there last customer and the only ones there for lunch. Woman cold as ice, even when I said we had seen them and decided to try them out.
Best Thai in town
Tasty Thai with fresh ingredients... we love the currys!
Great food and very friendly service.
I eat here often.
We discovered this place by accident since the neighbouring restaurant had no dine in . We were glad it happened, the food here was amazing and the service was very quick. Probably the fastest I've ever seen in a really long time!!
The Food is Fresh, delicious, prepared with love & served with care. The atmosphere is an absolute oasis. 5 stars on all levels.
This was my wife's Birthday Dinner. so, that says alot. Grateful Ubon Thai Kitchen exists.
Best weekly thai place in town, always tasty and dependable
My family ordered Ubon for the first time in a while and couldn't have been more disappointed. I called in the order for pickup, and used my husband's name like I always do. When I came in to pick up the order, after I had paid, the cashier made a comment making fun of my husband's name. I laughed it off, but left feeling extremely uncomfortable and upset. When I got home, I became even more upset when I saw the mess we got for entrees. They were unappetizing, small portions and extremely overcooked. I was extremely underwhelmed with the flavor, it was just really spicy. They lost me and my family as customers forever tonight. This is a picture of the pad thai with tempeh. There were 4 pieces of tempeh total.
Overall, isn't wasn't that great. The Thai Iced tea was subpar, the Yellow Curry was okay, and the Tom Ka was TERRIBLE (the broth tasted like coconut and chicken stock seasoned with salt and chili. The medium was absurdly spicy, and the mild was really bland). The pad thai was delicious! Can't say I'd choose to come here a second time though.
So disappointed. Tried to deliver wrong order to us, then when our food was brought they forgot the appetizer. When we mentioned it was missing, the server walked away with our cutlery and we were left sitting with our food but no way to eat it. When I called for him to leave the cutlery with us he said that he would be back in a minute and walked away with it! He returned with cutlery and our appetizer after we had sat with our food unable to eat it. The real disappointment starts here. Servings were small and the Salmon Salad was bland and flavorless- huge wedges of tomato to deal with and only given a spoon and a fork- no knife. Glass Noodle Salad had good flavor but the seafood was old-frozen tasting and tasted so bad I could not eat it. It was served on whole large lettuce leaves which were hard to wrangle without a knife.. The calamari was also bad- weird over seasoned batter, dry and seemed like a frozen product that had been deep fried. We left not full and out over $50 bucks. Never going back.
Absolutely delicious! Stopped here on our transamerica bike ride and had some of the best Pad See Ew ever! Also very accommodating for vegan/veg diners.
Had this place delivered, I thought it was delicious! Delivery can be hit or miss, a lot of variables. This food was awesome! I will definitely be going to this restaurant in person. Keep up the great work!
I'm going to go broke with this Tom Khai addiction!!
This place is top notch!
Super disappointing- I was so excited to try this place after reading the positive reviews, BUT when I opened my to-go box I was truly LET DOWN.
While the food was delicious, the portion sizes are TINY.
I was told later by another customer that if I wanted more food, the "trick" is to dine in. Apparently the serving sizes differ by a lot.
I paid $11 for 2 scoops of noodles... and this was "extra" veggies.... uh where?
Prices are also raising in July... Are portions also increasing?
Ubon Thai is delicious! We have loved everything we have ordered here. They are very concious of vegan and gluten free dietary restrictions and their menu is clearly marked to notate these options. They have a really cute courtyard with a fountain. It's nice to be able to "dine in" safely and in such a nice atmosphere.
Great options and noodles, stir fry was oily ask for low oil. Great service.
there are a lot of thai restaurants in Eugene, but this is one of the best. clean food (not all oily) a ton of flavor and variety.
Honestly won’t go back here. The salad rolls had no herbs therefore no flavor. Also they were super nice about trying to accommodate for my friends dietary needs but then just ended up making her noodles with no sauce on them which was kind of disappointing and we wished they would have told us that when they said they could make something without soy that just meant without any sauce at all. They ended up giving us lime juice from the bar... lol. they were very very nice and did their best but it’s just not great quality compared to other Thai restaurants in town
I totally recommend this place! We were in a pinch and desperately trying to find a place to set up office for a couple hours while our internet was out! But so many places are closed to inside dining, or super crowded. But we called Ubon, and they reserved us the sweetest little atrium All to ourselves, with an outlet, because our batteries are ancient, and it was perfect! Oh! And the food was amazing too, and reasonably priced! I had the massaman curry, because that's all I ever get, cuz I'm boring, and my partner and kiddo got some yummy pad Thai. They have a spice scale to ten, but 4 was pretty hot! And two wasn't quite spicey enough. Oh, and good Thai iced tea! 10/10
Loved the sauce on my eggplant dish
Pineapple curry was delicious, with the watermelon rhubarb cider. Mango rice was terrific.
I'm blown away every time I eat here.
Best pad thai ever
The pad thai is really good... when I actually get what I ordered. Every single time I go here they screw up my order. Today I got home with a bunch of fried rice, I can only assume it was someone else's order. If you get take out make sure you check to see if it's right before you drive all the way home.
Great food and value. Rocking staff.
I have an addiction to this restaurant. I probably go 2-3 times a week. Although it’s draining my account, it’s worth it. Quality Thai food that has a diverse option of deliciousness. I would recommend the Eggplant Stir Fry with chicken.
