Bay View Thai Kitchen was an amazing find! The menu is impressively accommodating, with many dishes available gluten-free, and I overheard other diners making vegan and allergy-specific modifications with ease. My husband and I enjoyed the pork pad Thai and salad rolls, both of which were absolutely delicious. Atmosphere: the exterior is rather outdated and worn but the interior is nicer. Only a few tables inside have a window seat for you to view the marina — no windows actually face the ocean.

Service: wait to be seated, you will be watered, order at the table, check brought to you (no tax in case you forgot you’re in Oregon).

Menu: short and simple with no images but the descriptions are sufficient. I like how non-spicy is an option. There’s a shorter menu during lunch hour with slightly lower prices. Lunch items come with 2 pieces of gyoza.

Kid Friendliness: high chairs, booster seats, children’s utensils and plates.

The water tasted a bit strange to me. It almost had a salty ocean aroma and aftertaste to it. I wasn’t a fan and pulled out my own water bottle.

Pad Kee Mao: though the noodles were pretty flavorful, I found that the veggies were rather bland and the pork was a bit on the dry side. The dish was very heavy on the noodles, onions, and bamboo slices. I barely had any protein — the pork was gone before I even reached the halfway mark of my meal.

We were excited when we found a Thai restaurant around for lunch. The place was crowded during lunchtime, and we got a place to sit.

Pad Kee Mao was delicious! We also ordered Thai fried rice and Tom Yum soup, which was okay. But not the Thai pineapple fried rice. All fried rice was tasteless and needed more seasoning.

On our mini honeymoon after our wedding, my wife and I did a road trip along the PNW coast and she found this place on google. I cannot say enough about how amazing the food, the service, and the atmosphere of this place is. Not only is this a top Thai restaurant that I've been to (of the maybe 18-20 I’ve been to, mostly in southern California and New York), the customer service was outstanding, all around, of any reasonably priced restaurant that I've been to (we got like 6 things and it was $71, we both had drinks too).
When the owner found out that we had just gotten married, he personally came over to congratulate us and was very genuinely kind and interested. The server was supposedly in training but outshined most servers I've met anywhere. The restaurant is very much a family owned place, but all the more appreciable for this.
Can't recommend enough. A real 5.0/5.0. A gem.

The staff were so nice. I only ordered take out, but the vibes were very warm and friendly while I picked up. We ordered pork Pad Thai with no spice, Beef Pad See Ew mild, Thai iced tea, and mango sticky rice. All the food was delicious, and in very ample portions. I'd definitely love to try eating inside on a return visit.

This restaurant was very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. I have celiac and a severe shellfish allergy. They let me know what dishes they can make gluten free and shellfish free. They were very knowledgeable regarding allergies and food restrictions. My brother is vegan and was able to find something delicious. Great service, atmosphere, and delicious big portioned meals. Would highly recommend.

Just a little place on main Street in Depoe bay but very good! I had the pineapple curry and I almost lost my mind!🤩🥰😁we also had the lemongrass chicken and drunken noodles both were very good, the service was great, the waiter also helped us with picking out the food which was great cause everything sounded so good! Also had a coconut mango juice, yumm! World's smallest harbor out back.

The amount of food you get for the price reminds me of when America cared about each other lmao. But seriously, it was so good! I didn’t expect that big of a plate but wow! The place is a little smaller than you would Hope, so to my neurospicy friends, if you want a quiet comfortable dining experience make sure to go during their slower time… idk when that is but. They also sell super cute mugs and stickers 10/$1. Overall super pleasant experience and glad I ate out.

We went here during our short stay in Depoe Bay and this restaurant was highly recommended…nothing was good about the lemongrass chicken, steam vegetables and peanut sauce. The Pad Thai was not recognizable and not recommendable either. We have no plans of eating here again.

I would recommend that before eating at this place that you use the rest room and look across into the kitchen -absolutely filthy, I can't believe this place would pass a health inspection, and there were rodent droppings all over the bathroom floor -we had already eaten and I went outside and was sick to my stomach -puked all evening!

Chicken Drunken noodle was delicious, good flavor, spice level was good and noodle was cook perfect, noodle looked and tasted stir fried. Yellow curry was sweet, flavorful and great over rice. Namtok beef was a bit over cook, not tender, need more lime and flavor. Papaya was not spicy enough, good taste. Chili table and garlic sude pepper was delicious. Overall food was good.

A favorite for Thai food. My wife’s Yellow Curry was perfect & my Drunken Noodles were to order. It was amusing that I heard others also ordering Drunken Noodles too.

This is the best Thai food IMHO on the coast and it gets busy in the evenings, none the less the food is always fresh and excellent and the wait staff always does a great job. Great view of Depoe Bay too.

In a small town of 1400 people, surprising to find such a great restaurant. Thai food and owned and operated by a Thai family who are there to greet you and serve you.' The food was amazing, great portions, nice view of the inner bay with the fishing boats. Very reasonable priced. It's no wonder that people coming from surrounding towns to eat here. Well done!

Dirty. I walked in and right back out again, which, lest you think I’m a ‘Karen’, I’ve never done before in my life!

There was dirt and stains on the floors, windows were filthy, a bug in the air…not sure what’s going on at this place.

I’m not a neat freak (I’ve got filthy pets and kids lol), but when there’s dirt and grit on the floors that looks like it’s not been swept in weeks in a customer facing area, then I’m too scared to find out what it looks like in the back where my food would be prepared.
The pics and reviews all seemed great, so I’m really confused about this place. Maybe they were having an off time and missing staff or something? Still didn’t make sense with how dirty the building itself was.
Hopefully they see this and clean things up. I adore Thai food and had heard such wonderful things about theirs and had been looking forward to it!

Still a thai food gem. Came back and the quality is just as good. View of the bay and the salmon curry is unforgettable. Tom Yum soup is just perfect balance of not too spicy or too sweet. The savory soup is just as I remembered in thailand when you asked for a mild version. The shrimp basil roll is delicious when dipped in sweet sour chili sauce. Could taste the unique taste of fresh kieffer lime in the curry. Will return for the dish and others on the menu. Absolutely recommend this place.

BEST THAI ON THE COAST. absolutely amazing hot fresh and delicious ingredients. The folks who own it are the sweetest and super hard working. We’ve gotten just about every item on their menu but my tops are the soups, pad Thai lemon grass chicken, crying tiger, and Massuman curry. But honestly everything is good.

The appetizers are all good too, the pot stickers are amazing and the crab puffs and the chicken satay is our favorite.

The Thai ice tea is also so so so good. Love it all, love this place! Best on the coast!

The pad thai was Fantastic!!!

Literally the best Thai food in the US. We live in AZ most of the year but spend summers in Oregon. No matter where we are staying on the coast, even if it’s a 3 hour drive - we always come to bay view Thai as much as we possibly can while here. The owners are incredible people and we love seeing them every year. We always stock up on their house made Thai chili oil to take home with us as well. Been coming for years ever since we stumbled upon this place, and anytime we have guests visiting us from out of state this is the first place we make sure to take them to eat. Everyone we’ve brought has been blown away by the quality of the food. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Waited 30 minutes for frozen spring rolls. 1 hour in and no food. Owner was rude, servers were clueless, served warm soda with very little ice. Possibly worst service ever!

I have had take out from the Bay View Thai Kitchen a few times in the past month. Drunken Noodles, Spring Rolls, Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Green Curry, Tom Yum soup. Each time the food was delicious, savory. fresh, and spices well balanced. This has become my new local favorite.

Ate in tonight with a friend. We had the Spring Rolls, Crab Fried Rice and Thai Iced Tea. As usual, the food was excellent, service prompt and friendly, and the view of Depoe Bay is still one of the best around!

Absolutely phenomenal meal, some of the best Thai I’ve had! We had the Thai teas, massuman curry, pad Thai, and appetizer sampler and all were completely satisfied!! Very friendly and fast service as well and the place was packed- obviously a popular go to spot!

Came in with a larger party and we’re seated pretty quickly. Appetizers came out quick along with drinks. The gentleman helping our table to very nice! Unfortunately everyone got food except for one person in our party, which took them quite some time to realize and we had to ask for the rest of our order. They were generous enough to provide a discount on that meal. The two younger women behind the bar counter were not very friendly and continued to make rude remarks throughout our dinner service, which we could hear as our table was near the bar counter. We took our payment to the bar ourselves since the gentleman helping us seemed a little busy and again the women made snide remarks. Good food and great place but there was an uncomfortable feeling from the female staff.

We look forward to eating at this restaurant when we visit the area. The food always comes out piping hot, fresh & absolutely delicious with very generous portions. This small family business provides a friendly and memorable dining experience. Call ahead for reservations as the restaurant is small and in high demand.

This was the best Tom Kah soup I’ve ever had and the grilled lemon grass chicken with vegetables was amazing too! Fantastic view and location. The outside of the building is deceiving because the inside and bay view WOWed us when we walked in. Location is just across the famous bridge from the popular Depoe Bay tourist area. Prices are very affordable. We spent more on two cocktails at Kyllo’s than we did on our meals and beer here.
We will absolutely return.

I have had a LOT of Thai food, and I consider this place some of the absolute best. It is consistently delicious. Every dish is perfectly flavored. Also, be sure to try the fried banana with ice cream dessert. It's fantastic!

I wish I could give 10 stars!! The food was the best Thai I've ever had. When I requested my pad thai to be extra spicy, it actually came extra spicy. The salad rolls were phenomenal and served with warm peanut sauce (I usually get it cold, and really enjoyed it being warm..and the peanut sauce had amazing flavor). I've been craving more ever since. I can't wait to be back. My only regret, that I didn't eat here sooner!

First visit and would definitely return. Mixed reviews on the food for 4 of us: salad rolls, yellow curry, Tom Ka with shrimp and seafood salad all excellent, crying tiger and drunken noodles disappointed (steak grisly, drunken noodles little dry/noodles soggy). However service was friendly and fast, and atmosphere was lovely, clearly a well loved family owned spot with a great view of the harbor. We will go back for more if that delicious Tom Ka!

We live in Beaverton and stumbled upon this place when visiting the devils punchbowl, now we make a detour anytime we’re within an hour radius of it because it is the best Thai food I’ve had, probably in the US, definitely in Oregon. The portions are also phenomenal.

This place was fantastic. Super friendly staff, delicious food, good beers on tap, fantastic views. Very vegan-friendly menu, with excellent fried / chewy tofu especially. We got Tom Kah soup and pad see ew with tofu. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of the food, it was too delicious and I ate it too quick. I did however get a picture of this epic double rainbow from outside their window. A magical place!

The Absolute BEST Thai food we've ever had, Hands Down!! Generous portions, the flavors of each dish popped in our mouth. We were fortunate to have chosen the chicken lemongrass pad thai, the pineapple fried rice, and a curry chicken dish.
Don't miss out on this restaurant if you are craving Thai food. The owner was our server. He kept our jasmine tea coming during the whole meal, as well as giving me insite to brewing jasmine pearl over tea bags.

This is a smaller place and easy to miss as you drive 101 through Depot Bay and is a must try!
Husband and I have tried different dishes and all have been very good. This is worth a 45 minute drive from home on date night.
Vegan niece really likes this place also as they offer to make most dishes vegan and they are still very flavorful.
Staff is always welcoming and friendly.
We like to watch sea lions play on the marina and have seen bald eagles flying past.
Restrooms aren't pleasant.

Don't eat here if you are looking for real thai food. Tne pad thai was covered in oil and had no flavor. Just oil and noodles with no sauce or anything. We each took one bite and told them that we don't want it. Staff was rude after that and didn't even address us. Let us check out without an apology or saying thanks for coming in. Like they were mad at us because their food is awful. Terrible food and staff. Do not go.

This place is amazing! My brother and I went to the coast today for the King Tides and decided we wanted to try this place for a bite to eat. We ordered spring rolls, Tom yum soup with chicken, and lemongrass chicken pad thai...all to share. We loved everything! It was all delicious and felt so fresh. Didn't leave us feeling heavy like some food does, but definitely very full, and we had some leftovers. Definitely will come back here.

It's not my favorite thai place in Oregon, but it's very nice and they have an amazing view from the dining area. There were tons of locals coming in and out and you can tell it's a pillar of the community.

The outside of this restaurant belies the great food and the nice view of the inner harbor. We enjoyed the spring rolls and were pleased that they would make vegan Thai dishes for us. Drunken noodles and sweet and sour tofu stir fry were our favorite. Family run business we will plan to visit again.

This place is a hidden gem. You can easily miss it while driving along 101. The food was incredible, with a great view of the harbor. The seafood curry alone was worth it. A hollowed out coconut filled with delicious broth, vegetables, and seafood 🙂.

We had the pineapple curry (spicy, but perfect), the lemongrass chicken (delicious peanut sauce) and our kids loved the pot stickers and the yakisoba noodles. The service was great and the prices reasonable.

This is at a nondescript place by Depoe bay and I wasn’t sure what to expect there. However nothing to worry. First off, it does face the bay opposite to the beach. The owner clearly loves plants and succulents - there are house plants all over the restaurant, including the bathroom. They had only a few tables filled in at the late hour that we arrived but they got busier even at 3 pm in the afternoon. We placed an order of basil shrimp rolls for our appetizer. While my husband had a beer, we had Thai ice tea and young coconut water to share. The coconut water was fresh and refreshing!! Perfect. The shrimp rolls were quite good due to the element of the fried Thai basil .
My son had pad kee Mao with chicken and it was as good as we all expected. My husband had the green curry and thought it was excellent. My curry powder fried rice was so good - full of veggies, spice and finger licking good. Because we were in there past lunch hour, unfortunately we had to order the dinner portions which were quite huge. Lot of leftovers! The owner walked around seated tables occasionally checking on everyone.
Later our server took the young coconut to split it and give us the coconut meat. Appreciated it and enjoyed it a lot.

I had the pad Thai lemongrass chicken. It was delicious and generously portioned. Great family run feeling in the restaurant.

Great food lots of curry options, very friendly, very nice staff. We got to watch a seal play in the the little marina from our table. That was special. The place was clean except they need to wipe down the bathroom doors, they looked a little smudged and hopefully the building owner will eventually replace the worn carpet.

You'd miss this even if you're standing in front of it. It's practically invisible, yet probably one of the most authentic Thai restaurants I have experienced. It is unassuming, so you question again if this is the right place. The atmosphere is a bit odd compared to most US restaurants. It's a hidden gem, for sure.

I stopped here with my partner and mom just before closing and got the green curry and tom yum

It was our first time at this restaurant. It's family owned, super friendly staffs and they serve authentic Thai food. We ordered crab fried rice, spicy salmon salad and Thai ice tea. The food and drink were so tasty, nice presentation, generously big portion and reasonable priced. I am Thai so they were so thoughtful to bring us some spoons and the fish sauce for our meal. Highly recommend!

The best Thai food restaurant we have been to! It was recommended to us by a local as we were on vacation and I’m so glad we went there. The front of the building doesn’t look like much, but it was a perfect experience for lunch! Amazing food and amazing service!! Very reasonably priced as well. Definitely recommend!

My first time here and I was really impressed with the quality of the food. Everything I got was vegan. The veggies were fresh and steamed perfectly. Tom kha soup with tofu, garlic stir fry veggies and tofu, was outstanding, and the fresh spring rolls were all really good. Nice view and good service.

I came back a second time and got the pineapple curry, I wasn't as impressed with that as it had a ton of soft long red bell peppers in it. But you try, and see what are your favorites.

What an incredible spread! My fiancé and I decided to try a few different menu items today and they were all phenomenal. The plating is beautiful and very intentional and the portion sizes are filling. The taste is authentic as it reminded me of my time in Thailand. We tried the spring rolls first - what a tasty warm treat to start with! Then, the fresh salad rolls with peanut sauce & tofu because I can never say no to those. The drunken noodles were very flavorful, the beef & broccoli sweet & delicious, and lastly the Crying Tiger chef special was amazing. The steak was tender and I can’t get over the limey spicy fish sauce dip that came with it. If you are looking for comforting flavors that will overload your senses, give this place a try! Not to mention good views & wonderful service. Thank you all very much. We will be back. (:

Great food...

Really good Thai food, as good or better than any that I've had in the city. Definitely give this place a shot if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed. I had the Lemongrass Chicken Pad Thai and the Salad Rolls, and the peanut sauce that came with both was to die for. Pad Thai is a little less sweet than I'm used to, but the flavor is great. My girlfriend got the seafood curry served in a young coconut, and it looked amazing.

We loved this place. We were in the area for three nights and it was so good the first time that we went back a second time before our trip was over. One sniff as you walk in the door and you can tell it’s going to a delicious meal. The owners/staff were wonderful, made great suggestions and even though the place was busy both times we were seated quickly and the food was fast. Their specials were amazing. I would definitely recommend the seafood curry, being served in a young coconut was a really fun and exceptionally tasty twist! The pad Thai was also amazing. We had this mango shrimp special that had unique flavor. Definitely eat here, actually eat here twice if you get the chance. We’ll be back next time we are in the area.

We ordered take out. They were soo busy that she offered to call back when they could get our order in with an estimated time. We received the call that the food was being prepared and we could come and pick it up. Stellar service and amazing food prepared with love. Will always want to eat herebwhen we visit.

Just had the most unpleasant experience at this place. Walked in and wasn't greeted, standing at the door for 10 minutes, not even being acknowledged. Some locals came in and just walked past me. I said I was there first, and the lady working said she knew. Then I proceeded to hear her say to the locals that she guessed the people who made reservations weren't coming and said for them to have a seat. I then asked how long the wait would be. She dismissively shrugged and said, "Well, they are full, and she had no idea how long it would be, but I could sit at the bar", which had stuff all over it and wasn't set up for dinning, I said but the people she just sat, were here after me, and she lied straight to my face, saying they had reservations. I then just left feeling very disrespected. The kicker is, I'm a food critic writing for a gluten-free magazine about places on the Oregon coast to safely eat. I was going to review this place, but now all I'm going to say is to avoid this place. Because if the wait staff can't even seat folks in order or keep a respectful and courteous disposition, they most certainly can't be trusted to prepare food safely for those with allergies or food intolerances.

Soild 5 stars! I'm so happy that I find a true gem situated with a picturesque view of the harbor in Depoe Bay. The owners' warm and welcoming nature creates an atmosphere that makes you feel like part of their family. The menu offers a wide selection of authentic Thai dishes at excellent prices. I thoroughly enjoyed every dish I tried; they were all incredibly delicious. If you're looking for delectable Thai cuisine and a serene setting with lovely water views, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Every time we are in the area (Newport, Depoe, Lincoln City), we will be definitely be having a meal here. This place has great tasting authentic Thai food at really good prices. The portions are big and the service is top notch. Being that this restaurant is on the smaller side, there may be a short wait, but it is well worth it. They are very personable and attentive despite the small amount of employees. What do we recommend trying? Everything!!! If you like fried rice but wanna try something different, try the Basil fried rice. Gotta have seafood while on the coast...the Bay View Seafood Curry was delicious. Pad Thai was great but kids will love the Pad See Ew noodles if they prefer something more sweet, like I do. Oh, leave room for dessert or order it first. I wish I could comment on their famous Crab fried rice but due to the shortage of crab, we were not able to try it out the two times we went...more reason to go back. They have local beer on tap or try a bottle of beer from Thailand....I'm getting thirsty and hungry now. Ok bye

Everything was delicious and service was prompt and friendly. I’m looking forward to returning. I had salad rolls and Tom Kah soup. Both were generous portions and wonderfully presented.
