No dine-in take out and delivery only
This restaurant serves amazing Thai food. The owners of this restaurant are very nice and professional. Unlike many other places, I felt very welcome here, and they treated me like a real customer. The food and service were excellent! I do mean it. I really enjoyed my time here, and I will come back for more Thai food! I highly recommend this family local business.
This was such a wonderful experience. The crew were so lovely, very friendly and helpful. They were beyond welcoming. My friends and I had such a great time. The food was delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions were generous. I was so happy with my evening here. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality.
Definitely the best Thai restaurant in Corvallis. I wasnβt expected they would be good but actually turn out pretty good.
Just so you know the water is $1 per bottle and they donβt have free water for you.
Pineapple fired rice are really good but like why they donβt give a lot of rice tho? LOLOL. And Thai BBQ chicken are so good too!
First time dining out in a couple months, and we picked the right place to get back into the groove. Best Thai food in Corvallis, for sure. I have only been a few times, but it is terrific food, served fresh by very friendly staff. Paht Thai was delicious, with perfect noodles. My favorite was the crispy duck with the Thai basil, so good. And they take cards now to handle all the takeout orders! If you like Thai or just darn good food with fresh ingredients, definitely check it out.
this is the best food in corvallis! the staff are so kind and thoughtful.
The musmun gai curry is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!

Such wonderful people and food! Thank you!
Easily the best Thai food in the valley.
Been a returning customer for a few years now and the place is great! Good food and plenty of options! Great service and generous portions for the money.
Any of their duck dishes are killer! The ownership is directly involved in the day-to-day here, and truly shines through all of their food.
Best Thai restaurant in Corvallis!! Iβve tried many dishes here and I love all of them. The workers are very nice and responsible, and the food is delicious. Highly recommended!
Tom yum soup was tasty. Fried rice was decent. The chow mein wasnβt good at all and barely had any chicken in it. The eggplant and beef dish also only had a few slices of beef in it. The chicken wings had way too much breading and too sweet. Overall, was kind of disappointed in the food. I went here because Thai Chili was closed, but probably wonβt be back.
I didnβt know what happened, the pork skin rice is WAY~~TOO Greasy, which I donβt feel well after eating this. The soup with coconut mushroom basil was too sour, but you can adjust the spice level. The crispy chicken taste similar to Korean fried chicken with orange chicken sauce on it. The most important part I feel extremely weird is that YOU HAVE TO SPENT EXTRA MONEY FOR TAP WATER. The food was super greasy and salty but I canβt have any water unless I paid for it. WEIRD RULE!!!! I will be contemplating over and over to give this restaurant a chance to come back visit again(maybe). Overall, greasy, salty, overpriced, slow served speed, and the most important NO WATER!!!!!!
Best Thai food place in Corvallis or rather in mid Willamette valley. It's authentic Thai. Food tasted like the one I had in Thailand.
Best Thai food in Corvallis by far! Always a treat to come here. They make some incredible pad thai which I have to order every time, because I canβt get enough! A new favorite for my girlfriend and I. :)
Best Thai food I have had in years. Can't wait to go back!
This has been my favorite Thai place throughout my life. Incredible recipes from a sweet Thai family. Consistently delicious.
The honey duck is delicious.
The food is amazing and the waitstaff are phenomenal (shoutout to Hye!) Make sure to take cash as they do not accept cards. Minor inconvenience, worth the dining experience.
Best Thai in Corvallis, and I live with experts. The Duck Curry is phenomenal, and I'm obsessed with the Mango Mousse. The service is amazing, too--one time the person picking up our order forgot the mousse, so the restaurant called us up and drove it to our house *after the restaurant had closed*. Above and beyond. If they were open Mondays (our eat-out day), we'd be dining here every week.
Really didn't enjoy the food. The Pad Thai was lacking flavor but edible but the Pad See Ew smelled like wet dog and barely had flavor. As for appetizers, the tofu was dry and tough and the shrimp was spoungy. I'm sure the atmosphere is better earlier in the evening, and I may have high standards for thai food but this was a miss for me.
These guys are amazing!
This place just does not disappoint! Try the crispy basil duck π€€.
We ordered Mango prons and TarnTip eggplants. They seemed so rushed, the food was not well prepared. Mango prons didn't have all ingredients (missing cashews). Food was not warm! TarnTip eggplant had only a few slices of beef. Totally disappointed.
The salad rolls did not have anything but lettuce, rice, carrots, and rice paper. The pad Thai had No egg in it. Only bottled water was served. Passable but thatβs it
Love this place and its quirks just because the food is so good. Sometimes, your potstickers may come out cold, but that's because the shrimp rolls came out hot for apps. You may not see your server, but you will get your drinks, food, and check eventually. I loved the spicy chili duck, the spicy peanut curry, and whatever I try next time I'm sure I'll love.
The server was very rude. Not returning
Best Thai food in Corvallis. Excellent service. Even for being very busy they did a very good job. Update: still the best Thai food around!!!
Food was good, experience was genuine, and service was timely. Never felt forgotten nor felt over serviced.
Will recommend
Now accepts cards and apple pay. I also wanted to update my review because I have now been eating here for almost four years and it is always consistently delicious and always prepared correctly to my liking. Really a gem in Corvallis. Thank you tarntip
Old review.
Tofu Todd is delicious. Their yellow curry is great too - always be sure to ask for extra spicy if you want spice. Asking for extra veg instead of tofu or protein is also an option - they will sub w cabbage or broccoli or whatever if you ask. I appreciate how accommodating this place is
Amazing food. I Will definitely come back here again.
Cute if slightly cramped restaurant with very nice staff and quick turn over for takeout. The red curry is great!! Good portions too π
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
the tofu dishes here are some of the best I've ever had. Definitely best thai food in corvallis. Lovely staff and great prices, this place is really awesome. I can't wait to come again and try something new!

Very impressed with the fresh rolls & peanut sauce and the spicy peanut curry dish as takeout options!!
Very nice employees and delicious food!! The wait time is not too long and it's decently priced. $20 card minimum though, which is fine because that's about the cost of a meal and a drink anyway. Definitely recommend!!
Very good yellow curry and summer rolls.
The restaurant was short staffed and there were many customers. The waiter was able to take our order and deliver the food very quickly. He was very polite.
Mediocre Thai food. Nearly everything we got was so sugary and salty you couldn't taste much else. The glass noodle salad was drenched in lime juice which made it sour and unbalanced. Vegetables were barely cut, making for giant chunks of barely cooked veg sitting in watery sauces. Bafflingly, the pad Thai had a pile of raw purple cabbage on top which just detracted from the dish. I come here once a year to see if anything's improved and so far nothing. I will say the salad rolls are very nice. The service was also generally good.
Lastly if you do come here, avoid the dining room directly to the left of the entrance. We got seated there and the room had an awful, overpowering odor like mildew mixed with sweat or something. Extremely unpleasant.
The food is decent, not amazing, and they refuse to answer their phone so good luck placing a to-go order!
Everything here is delicious and the service is great. The only reason Iβm giving them a 4 star is because there closed on Sunday, which is when I usually eat out. Love their pad see ewe though.
I haven't gotten many different dishes from this place but their drunken noodles, pad thai, all their Currys, and their spring rolls are excellent!!! I would give them ten stars if I could! I will always love their food and they are also very nice to their costumers.
Favorite restaurant in corvallis! The food is amazing, the staff is so very friendly, and service is fast.
We went for dinner during the week everything was great. Food came fast and it was delicious. I would have liked that the tofu in the curry would be stir fried and not just normal tofu, so it could have had a better texture. I can totally ecommend
Got pad Thai, come out barley warm like they had a big batch made in a bowl, the chicken was dry and no seasoning, they do not offer refills on sodas, and if you ask for soy sause you get one itty bitty Togo packet for your whole plate. Wonβt be going back here.
Awesome authentic Thai food served by friendly staff.
Consistently tasty food. The yellow curry, pad Thai, and pad see ew are all incredible dishes. Order the summer rolls, they are exemplary.
Stop looking and just go. First time in with four people. Everyone enjoyed their meals! Great service even though it was busy! I'll definitely be back next time I'm coming through town.
Love the tofu todd and yellow curry and pad Thai and summer rolls. I love you so much I would be dead without you, GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!Excellent service excellent staff
Not good food, the noodles were disappointing and the veggies weren't well cooked, they tasted raw. They neeed higher heat higher oil for it to be a decent noodle dish.
Excellent food
Such amazing food for very good prices! This is our favorite place in Corvallis, for sure. The Paht Thai has delightful citrus notes and perfectly cooked noodles. The Musmun Gai is just wonderful, and so hard to stop eating. But you will need to stop, because they give generous portions here. We also had their fresh and delicious summer rolls and the siam satay, both of which come with the best peanut sauce you've ever had. Everything we had was gluten free, including the Thai tea that they made with coconut milk for us. You won't be disappointed!
The fried rice was so delicous and flavorful, and the texture was on point
The lady working here was also very sweet and the food came fast! Definitely reccomend
HELLO STAFF: Trying to contact you by phone and it says "call cannot be completed as dialed" just wanted to point it out to you, this is the first time its ever happened.
The food is incredible, service is great, highly recommend!
I always have to go here when I'm in town. There is no other peanut sauce like theirs. Absolutely the best I've ever had no matter where I travel. π
Delicious! Kind of a splurge for me. I don't eat out much, but worth the premium price. Got the Siam satay for an appetizer and it was very tender chicken with a tasty marinade, slightly chunky peanut sauce which I liked and a cucumber onion sweet and sour salad dip. Four skewers of chicken, $8.00.
Then on to the Tom Yum soup. Lots of nice and firm mushrooms and tender shrimp, with lemon grass and onions. Very savory broth, just right sweet and sour. Five shrimp, $16.00.
Finally, the Panang red curry with chicken. So good, slightly hot, not too, balanced well with the coconut milk, with lots of red and green sliced peppers and onions with actually nice and crunchy broccoli- not mushy. Superior, $14.00.
A splurge, but with value.
Good local Thai restaurant serving port much all the standard Thai cuisine. We particularly like their crispy chicken. Note that due to limited staffing, service is a bit slow and it may be best to call ahead to order your food.
I got the avacado curry and my friend got...I forget. But we also got crab Rangoons and the curry pockets( Samosas but Thai?) And it was all delightful. Place got busy around dinner time so get there early to beat the rush. Best Thai I've had in Corvallis so far.
Was in town today.. girlfriend & I wanted Thai for lunch so we went to Tarn Tip Thai Cuisine for our very first time. From the get go we were greeted by very friendly hostess lady(apologies don't recall name) who provided us menus for our dine in lunch & quickly took our food request. No joke we had our steaming hot lunch for two plus drinks within max of 5-8 minutes after food request being taken! Food & drinks were superb in quality, quantity & out the door price! Individual flavors, temperature, moist/cooked quality of EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT & 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!
On way out spoke with Paul (owner/chef) who revealed he prepares his food with Love from the Heart! πππ π
My lunch date & I were truly blessed from the moment we walked in & were treated as personal friends our entire visit. Our few moments conversation with Paul after lunch really touched our heart & spirit for the better! π
*Please note*
At the time my girlfriend & I visited on our lunch date, the restaurant was a little short staffed & hiring help... This being said, the lovely family who owns & runs this beautiful establishment did not let lack of available staff slow them down on delivering a TOP NOTCH EXPERIENCE in every area from service, food delivery to table, quality of food & most importantly the human heart soul connection conversation afterwards. πππ
MUCH MUCH MUCH LOVE!
We will be back very soon many more times during our time in Corvallis!
Best food in Corvallis
Definitely the best Thai restaurant in Corvallis. I wasnβt expected they would be good but actually turn out pretty good.

Pineapple fired rice are really good but like why they donβt give a lot of rice tho? LOLOL. And Thai BBQ chicken are so good too!
Best thai
Today while I was ill my husband ordered to go before Tarntip closes for the afternoon. I asked for it hot. She made it hot and it was such good medicine! Thank You!
Good curries, stir fry, duck, and noodles at a decent price. Sometimes they get too busy to take phone orders, but what are you gonna do.
There is no doubt that this place I could probably give 4 stars. The are several reasons for 3 stars. First, mask mandate is now lifted and should be able to dine in and if not, then attempt to have an outdoors eating area. The reason for this is Asian cuisine isnβt really not good for βto-goβ food esp when you order food with noodles. Secondly, cash ONLY. I understand that this place doesnβt want to pay visa or Mastercard or even debit card fees for their total sales. BUT offering other form of payments is a customer service. It would also drive customers to buy more food if other payments are offered! Who carries large some of cash with them nowadays? I know I donβt. Last, the entrees itself. The barbecue chicken was really tasty and cooked evenly, no blood on the bone which means that they must boiled the chicken before barbecuing. BUT this would make the chicken dry and not moist which is exactly what happen to this dish. I like the dipping sauce and veges (crispy and not too soggy)that came with the chicken. The chicken w/ string beans/nuts is probably the best out of the three entrees. The sauce is really blended well with a hint of spiciness. The string beans is not too soggy and a bit crisp which is really good. The glass noodle soup I would not recommend at all EVER. It is probably the worse soup Iβve ever tasted. It is so bland, taste like plane water with a bit of salt added. No hint of any kind of herbs. The glass noodle was hard and pathetically cooked. I had to boiled it like a spaghetti to make it softer the following day since I donβt like wasting food. I ordered it with tofu and this dish came with carrots and broccoli which was again cooked to perfection (go figure). I think it would have been better if they included some sort of hoisin sauce to go for flavoring for the soup. I also order appetizer, Barbecue chicken on a stick. The sauce that came with this was absolutely fantastic! The rice, please you are an Asian restaurant DO BETTER. Add more water, rice should never been an issue when someone is rating your eatery place. I am sure there are other entrees that might be good but at this time, this will be the last time for us to visit the place for awhile. Disappointing first time eating at this place esp w/ great reviews posted.
Best Thai food in town!
Great food, always friendly and on time.
Best Thai in Corvallis!
One of my favorites here. They now accept cards and are no longer cash only so thats awesome! They're always busy so keep that in mind when ordering
Tasty and quick food!
Almost everyone graduated from Oregon State University probably heard about Tarn Tip. Every time we visit Corvallis, we definitely stop by this restaurant.
Their lunch special has a special place in our memory. They were always fast and could quickly serve our lunch. The price was also reasonable.
The dishes we always ordered: Crispy Chicken and Phat See Ew (thin noodle).
There are no other places that I know in Oregon serving Phat See Ew with thin noodles. Mixed with lots of Siracha, it tasted so good. They have an option for thick noodles now.
Crispy Chicken is also special because they fried the chicken until it was dry and stir fried it with garlic and basil. It's delicious.
Their Tom Yum was also delicious. It was on the sweeter side but the sourness was able to balance it.
If you have kid(s), Gai Yang (BBQ Chicken) is the easiest dish. This dish provided us with enough protein (comes with steamed broccoli and carrots) when we were cash strapped college students.
They have new curry puff. We tried it last weekend. Mungbean filling was not too sweet. We liked it and it reminded us when we were back in Asia.
Yummy Thai food and the service was well on time.
Amazing Thai Tea!
Food is consistently delicious. portions are plentiful. The menu has a wide range of options to fit most eating preferences. Clearly labeled menu makes for easu ordering, and the staff are all freindly and accurate. My favorite thai restaurant in town. I wish an outdoor dine-at option existed. The atmosphere appears nice, sadlt dine-in is still unavailable.
Great tasting food. Unfortunately they keep reducing portion size, and there is hardly any meat, when you order a meat dish. This is especially true if you order shrimp.
Long time favorite of mine, they have been a shining star in the pandemic as far as safety and delicious comforting food
Possibly the best Thai food in Corvallis. Cash only.
This place has fresh made wide noodles. The best pad see ew is from this place.
Best Thai food in Corvallis! Friendly family run business.
Tarn Tip is owned by an incredible family who has brought incredible food and kindness to Corvallis for decades!
My favorites are the Crispy Chicken and Tofu Pad Thai.
Also, it looks like Google has their hours listed wrong right now. I just visited today and can confirm their hours are.
MON-SAT 11:30-2:30pm and 4:30-8:30pm
Thank you Tarn Tip for proving such great food π
Best Thai food place ive had in years. Service was wonderful, food was even better! Great job you guys!
I get the red curry and spring rolls, very delicious.
Really good thai food! I had the drunken noodles and they were delicious.
When I got home, I noticed that my order was wrong. I called the store and she (I'm assuming one of the owners) said to come back sometime and they'll make me another. A few minutes later she called me and asked for my address and said they will deliver me one right now. I gave my address and 20-25 minutes later someone from the restaurant showed up at my door with another meal just how I wanted. Unbelievable service, never seen anything like that before.
As far as the food goes, (i ordered a pad see ew), the noodles were very tender, and the sauce was good tasting. I think the dish would be better with more sauce, and a little bit more egg, but that could just be personal preference.
all in all one of those local restaurants that could use everyones' business. Great people who are clearly passionate about food
The servers were so adorable and nice, very enthusiastic about their food. And the green curry with fried tofu was amazing. The tomatoes in it were new for me, never had it in any green curry before, but it was still delicious.
We're visiting the area and discovered this restaurant. Food was excellent and the service was wonderful.
Spectacular. Prices are reasonable as well.
So much crunch in the pad thai!
Excellent portions and flavorful dishes. Delivery was quick and driver was friendly. My only complaint is that itβs cash only.
Absolutely delicious! I have tried many items on the menu and they are all tasty and well prepared. I highly recommend the chicken/duck crispy basil.
Great quality Thai food! Been a favorite of ours for years and now they deliver! You donβt even need an app just call them and say you want delivery. Perfect serving size and delicious
Excellent quality authentic Thai food. Fresh ingredients great service.
So grateful for this long-time corvallis classic. My personal favorite Thai food in town. Siam noodles and yellow curry are delicious every time I order them. I wish they'd take electronic payments! But they're worth planning and getting cash.
Best Thai food in Corvallis. Their menu is extensive so there's always something new to try
BEST Thai food I have ever had! Even the left overs were amazing. Next time I might have to order two entrees just to have one for later. They do only accept cash but so worth it! There is an atm in the store next door you can use if you dont carry cash like me
Excellent
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Corvallis.
Love Tarntip! β€οΈ
Corvallis wouldnβt be the same without this place. Great Thai food for very reasonable prices! Everyone who works there is so nice.
One of the top fav. Place to eatout. We had Curry and pad Thai. They were so good. It has a decent spicy kick at the end. So good.
Best Thai food around.
Great food.
Green Curry Beef is the best in town!
One of the best Thai restaurant in town
Hands down the best, most consistent takeout restaurant in Corvallis.
I usually order by phone and these folks have never gotten my order wrong, something I value highly due to my dietary restrictions. They are happy to make modifications to accommodate people's dietary restrictions, and are genuinely nice people to interact with over the phone and at the register. I can't stress enough how important I consider business's phone etiquette in these times of COVID-19, and these folks seem to really get it.
Now, for the delicious food: I can't get enough of their yellow curry. I usually get it with no protein or potatoes and add cabbage, broccoli. Their fried tofu is a textural experience that I recommend everybody try at least once. The brown rice blend they use is super tasty and cooked perfectly.
The only downside is I sometimes feel like I don't get much food for the money, but given the service and quality, I really don't mind. Their lunch specials are a great deal if this is a problem for you though. Also they sometimes run out of wide noodles so you can't always expect your favorite noodle dish to be available. Luckily, they answer their phone so you can call ahead to ask.
Corvallis needs more restaurants like this!
Love Tarn Tip and love the people inside. Courteous and pleasant!
I love tarntip. Best place for Thai in a 50 mile radius. Bring cash
The food here is the best and most consistently high quality -- i could not possibly imagine a nicer place, nicer people, or better food for reasonable cost anywhere in the world. My family has been dining at Tarn Tip for literally more than 25 years. We have seen young people in the Tarn Tip family start by bussing tables to waiting on customers and growing up as our family has aged. I do not know all the items on the menu, but we love #48 with asparagus & chicken gluten free and summer rolls and siam salad and pad thai and curry and .... the point is that we have formed a respect for the staff and their families and the food and service. ONce in more than 25 years we were overlooked on a very busy evening, but hey that happens to everyone. Every meal in more than 26 years has beeh first class. The point of this long review is this is a great place for a family meal.
They do deliver.... great food at a Reasonable price.
My favorite place in all of Corvallis! When they are closed I cryβ€οΈ
Delicious food every single time. Sometimes there's a wait but good things take time!
One of the best restaurants in Corvallis. Try the bubble tea!
By far the best Thai Restaurant Iβve ever been to in any town. Staff are really friendly, food usually comes fast, lots of vegetarian and Vegan options, and the food tastes amazing. Been many times and never once had a any problems.
Absolutely love this place. With every visit we get more and more in depth with different incredible flavors, they have amazing customer service and everyone has talked to us about their authentic menu items. Weβre loving the crispy chicken, it has the most unique and addicting flavors, we tried the crispy pork belly recently and again, out of this world flavors and textures. Their more approachable menu items have great flavors as well, but definitely ask about the authentic dishes. Always pair with hot tea! Thai tea is great too, and their Thai coffee.
Really good food. Wanting to go back and try more. I like how the soup is presented.
Yum, family owned, been around a while
Tarntip has excellent food and friendly, efficient service. I love their pad Thai, but the Musmun curry is also a favorite. Cash only means that their prices are very reasonable.
Great food
Absolutely the best Thai food in Corvallis as well as the best prices. The people are also super friendly and if you like Thai food you definitely should try this place.
#73 Musmun gai curry is my go-to. Yum!
It's obvious, after eating their food, tasting three entries, that Corvallis maintains it's reputation for not so great restaurants, sorry this seems like not so much effort went into this food. Just 20 miles away it is awesome.
Website for their food menu doesn't seem to work but I already know what I want. Best Thai food I've had.
My favorite place to get take-out! Love everything that I've tried here. (CASH ONLY, btw)
Good Thai! GO BEAVS!
Best Thai food I've ever had.
