Authentic Thai cuisine made with fresh ingredients, served in a casual and friendly atmosphere. Dine in or order online for delivery or takeout.
Best Thai by a landslide.
I have had the Pad Thai noodles level 10 heat and the curry chicken white heat.
The Curry chicken was amazing as if it were prepared in a $1000 French restaurant in Paris.
The Pad Thai noodles were awesome with just the right amount heat.

I ordered this restaurant on doordash for lunch one day and it was AMAZING. Despite being 8 miles away the food was still warm and fresh when arriving. The wonton soup is the best wonton soup i think i have ever had in Cleveland. We tried the Vegetable Potstickers, Spicy Wontons and Thai Dumplings. Everything was delicious. The spicy dipping sauce was so tasty and not overly spicy. The Thai Dumplings were so soft & flavorful, They had to be my favorite. The potstickers had a nice subtle crunch and the filling was juicy. I need to come back in person, if this food is so good door-dashed itβs a home run eating in the restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
I ordered through Door Dash so can't say what the ambiance inside is like.
The quantity was good for the price.
Unfortunately their food was not that good. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and it was dry and had no sauce on it. It lacked a lot of flavor. I also tried the spring rolls. Those were good but the sweet and sour sauce was more sour than anything, and no other flavor to describe it. I've had plenty of Thai food in my lifetime but sadly this was not the best. Maybe other items are better.
Rubbery squid and soggy dumplings. I ordered the steam dumplings and the salt and pepper squid. The dumplings were all soggy because they were sitting in the soy sauce that leaked from the container. I was able to salvage 2, but the edges on the dumpling were hard...probably were frozen, not fresh. The salt and pepper squid tasted nothing like what I've gotten in Vegas or Seattle.
The worst part was the squid was old. It was rubbery! I couldn't eat it. The third picture is a picture of all the food in the trash. $16 wasted.
Great host always cheerful and will make you laugh, amazing food and good spice level that leaves a good tingle on the lips but doesn't take away from the flavor. Really well priced too my party of 4 with 3 appetizers and 4 meals was under $80 for lunch. Will visit again
If itβs cold and rainy in independence Ohio come to Thai Gourmet and have their chicken soup. Itβs so uplifting! Coconut milk with lime and pineapple, mushrooms and chicken. I was so surprised at how fabulous it is! Priced at 4 dollars I wanted a tub of it.
Calm place to come after a busy work day. Service was so wonderful, food is great and priced right.
Friendly service, excellent Thai food, great value. Whether Iβm dining in with a friend or picking up a large order for a family gathering, Ariel and his wife make sure that my order is perfect. He knows me by name at this point and makes sure that my experience is welcoming and on point. I recommend the avocado curry, pad thai, hibachi fried rice, and general tsoβs chicken.

Outstanding food and service to our party of 6.
The worst pad see ew Iβve ever had. There was literally no sauce on it. Just oily and no flavor. So disappointed.π’
Wonderful Thai curries, great service. Small cozy dine-in on Rockside. I go when visiting from out of town
Ariel and his wife are the owners and the most genuine people you will ever meet.
My extended family and I have been dining there for at least 10 years. We and EVERYONE I see walking through those doors are always greeted with enthusiasm and treated like family. They don't discriminate. :)
Great food, too!
Great Food
This place serves great food with love. The Wonton Soup was very authentic. The orange chicken was amazing. The owner is a very funny and engaging man. The restaurant is small and intimate, but the friendly staff makes up for its size.
Placed an takeout order on Sunday 8/18/24 @ 5:10 pm, They said 25 Min. We arrived about 5:45, more than enough time, owner said , we are preparing your order wait 10 more min. Wife came to the car and said what do you want to do, I said wait 10 min, if not ready we are leaving, she went back in at 6:00 pm still not ready. Two customers came in to dine inside, however they they were never seated and left as no-one came out to seat them At 6:05 they said working on your order. (what) Owner said someone called off. My point is why not tell us when we ordered the wait would be and hour since we only have 1 cook. I was very disappointed. While wife was still waiting for our order, customer called to place an order owner said 25 Min.. why lie, tell them 1 hour ....all about not losing their business and making $$$$$. I am never going back. I remember in years past food and the dine in service was fast and great. Not anymore.
I ordered through Door Dash so can't say what the ambiance inside is like.

Excellent food and service.
The spiciest item on the menu is like a dessert. Everything we ordered was really sweet and not at all like authentic Asian. The seating area is tiny and crammed and had barely enough room for a normal person to walk.
The lighting is very dim that you can't even see what you are eating, which is concerning.
This place is not suitable to dine here with an infant in high chair as you'd be taking up the entire isle space just for a small high chair.
The owner is the only attraction here, he has good sense of humor and is entertaining.
Will not recommend unless you are used to eating everything and anything really sweet.
Used to be good. No more. Great friendly service. Terrible food. The tom kha was watery. The spring rolls all meat and flavorless. The pad Thai flavorless with none of the five flavors it should have. Tasted like it was stirred in a creamy curry instead of fish and oyster sauce and tamarind. Lots of fresh tender chicken and shrimp. But blah. And mushy noodles. Ordered hot and spicy. Medium at best. Used a whole bowl of sriracha.
Owner is awesome!
I've been here for several dishes and love all of them the Pad Thai is great, Vietnames beef soup is amazing, Patsu is always great and recently had the Avocado Beef stir-fry and that's the picture I'm sharing was so good. My taste buds where working overtime slightly spicy the peanuts added a great texture and the avocado made you feel like you where in heaven. Also in the background we had fried rice with beef, chicken and shrimp
I recommend this place. The staff is always friendly but it is small so it can get busy at peak hours.
We love everything in this restaurant. The service is very good and friendly. The food are flavorful and right to our taste. The owner are very accommodating and are very pleasant. Good customer experience. We will keep on coming back and will highly recommend to all our friends and family.
Mediocre at best
Didnβt get the chance to eat, yet, but the inside looked beautiful and the gentleman who provided a menu was funny, and absolutely refreshing! I look forward to tasting the food during my next visit!
Ordered delivery as a first time customer. All of the food was delicious, delivered nice and hot but missing our spring rolls. Will definitely order or visit again!
Food was delicious and Ariel was SUPER nice and friendly. The ambience is quaint and cozy. Very nice experience.
The food is good and there are a lot of menu options. The staff is friendly, although they could use some additional help. The atmosphere could use some help. There is no background noise most of the time but there is a television that randomly decides to engage and play audio at an uncomfortably loud volume for a couple of minutes before going silent again. I will go back for the food and the service. I have had the same server both times I have been there. I can't remember her name, but she was super helpful with my questions about the menu and tried to assist me with picking something that meets my dietary guidelines.
Honestly my partner and I came here with friends and heβs the only one who got chicken and had horrible food poisoning from it. He was in the hospital for a few days. The doctor said he hasnβt seen this type of bacteria in years and itβs from raw chicken β¦. Be cautions of their meat. We were also told when there that the beef is very low quality and not to give it to our babyβ¦.. yikes!!!!!
Staff was nice and atmosphere was quaint and cozy however I was disappointed with my food. I ordered a shrimp egg roll which was so unnecessarily greasy, the Thai coconut chicken salad which was literally disgusting. The chicken was boiled no seasoning and drenched in coconut milk which was poured over the salad. I wish had just ordered a plane salad. I did have wonton soup which was good. I ordered the chicken wings and they were small and overly drenched in sauce. I really wanted this to be good.
The service was great! However, I ordered the spicy seafood soup. It was not what was advertised on the online menu or the in store paper menu. There were things added in it that I wouldn't eat and had I known that, I wouldnβt have ordered it. I would suggest updating the menu to reflect what is in a dish just in case someone is allergic or just doesnβt eat a particular food.
We are traveling and stopped here on a whim thanks to someone's recommendation for spicy food. Delois was our server, and she was extremely nice and attentive. My husband and I like varying levels of spice, and she even let us try the sauces before committing to Thai hot. The portions were huge, and everything we had was so good. We tried the spicy tofu soup, wonton soup, chicken satay, Szechuan duck, and another duck dish. Everything was fantastic, and the service was unbeatable. Highly recommend!
Attentive to food allergies, which is a big deal in my household. Great portions for the price.
The food is good. The issue is that there seems to be only two people working here. They need to hire additional workers, and if they can't, then they simply aren't paying enough. The food is good but tables need to be bussed and there are a ton of online pickup orders which delay the in-restaurant customers. This place has potential but only if they have more staff.
This is a great little place. The owner and staff were very courteous. The food was excellent. Very authentic. Don't get "Thai Spicy" if you don't know what you are doing. They were very kind and accomodative of all of our requests. I highly recommend this place.
While we were waiting for our food, I overheard them take a phone order so patiently and carefully that I immediately knew the food was going to be amazing. And it was!
After reading reviews I was hoping for something much better! It might have been the worst thai food I ever had.
The crab rangoons are awful, obviously frozen, the shell should be light and crispy, these were tough and hard. The soup was ok.
The pineapple fried rice was greasy and tasteless. Seriously lacking flavor and barely any chicken. The hot tea was lukewarm.
My server and the staff were lovely and the prices are very reasonable, but not when the food is this poorly done.
We sat 45 mins waiting. Once food was served it was blend and lacking flavor. The items was served staggered, it was a catastrophe, to add insult the owner was less then professional!
In town for 3 days, ate here twice. Would have been 3, but didn't find it til the 2nd day! Food was great, best wonton soup i have had. Ordered take-out twice, ready early both times. If in town again, or even close, will be returning!
Dee answered the phone and she was an absolute DEElight. Amazing customer service and hospitality on her end. A great experience overall.
I almost never care enough to leave reviews. But, this place was beyond disappointing. Actually, it was quite disgusting. The basil chicken had not one spec of basil and was more like a bowl full of soy sauce with a few veggies. The Chieng Mai chicken was literally any other Chinese restaurant's to-go Moo Goo Gai pan with a few raw bamboo shoots added. Not even half of either dinner could be stomached before asking for the bill to get out ASAP. Only recommend this restaurant to people you dislike.
Absolutely incredible Pad Thai! Ariel is the man!
I have tried most of the Thai restaurants in the immediate cleveland area. I wouldnβt consider this amongst them as the pad Thai and green curry dishes were largely flavorless and were weak versions not resembling any authentic dish. Tom Yum soup was good.
Great food. One of the best local Thai restaurants
I ordered the General Tso chicken and 2 eggs rolls. The chicken was heavily breaded and very dry and overcooked. It wasnβt spicy and the chicken tasted old. The entire meal was a disappointment! This was my first and last time.
This is now my to go place for "Thai food". Waiting time was more but it was worth it. The server was very friendly. Overall we had a great time!!
Order incomplete. Ordered appetizer and Orange Chicken which was supposed to come with White Rice. Got back to hotel to find out there is no rice to go with the entree. Not worth going back for rice. Accuracy is not their strong point.
The food is delicious, the service is excellent. I love this place.
Food is good. Servings are good. Ambience is cozy and warm. Loved it. The only issue is that they're clearly under-staffed. At least the night I dined in. I ordered Shrimp Puffs. Loved them. And Pad Sew with Shrimp instead of chicken or beef. It was quite fulfilling but it can use some extra teriyaki sauce, though it had a very yummyafter taste. I love the place, but they can definitely use more helping hands. That would make it really gooooood.
I felt like giving 2 stars just because the food looks good in the pictures here lol. Didn't have a chance to taste their food. Walked in for lunch just to see a dark restaurant, dimmed lights (maybe their electricity bills are high), all tables and chairs so scrambled that leave just a small path to walk in between and you can hit anyone who's dining in. 3 guys were waiting for pick up orders and it seemed like only 1 person worked there so everyone had to wait. After 10 minutes, still no greetings or seating and we walked out. One of a few that are totally unwelcoming. Maybe this location only focuses on take out and not much about dine in experience.
Super friendly, delicious food
This restaurant is a small but very nicely decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere. The food is excellent and the staff was warm and inviting.
Meh.
Average priced Thai with a Chinese food menu and a vegetarian section. Must try the rolled tofu. it's on the unique side. Food was way over spiced with peppers, so bring some milk. Pop was on the flatter side. Would consider returning for a second chance. Still search for Great Thai in cleveland.
Wanted to try somewhere new and had seen good reviews however everything was disappointing. The Thai tea was way to sweet. The wonton soup had too much salt which was the only flavor that came through. The coconut soup was bland and so was the Thai spicy seafood, though it did have plenty of seafood which was a plus. We were told the Thai rolls were in rice paper, however they were deep fried and thin pencil sticks with no taste. The Pad See Ew had barely any vegetables and no flavor. We also ordered the Pataya Thai Entree which came with rice. Decent spice and amount of vegetables, just kinda boring. Service OK..new person in training trying their best. With so many places to try, no need to come back to very mediocre food.
THAI GOURMET INDEPENDENCE IS THE BEST ASIAN RESTAURANT IN OHIO!!! EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!!! THAI ROLLS, CRAB RANGOON, BAMBOO SHRIMP, PAD THAI, SPICY SEAFOOD, CURRY FRIED RICE!!!
Excellent vegan - gluten-free choice with flavor and great service!
man sells the best food in this neighborhood .. Thanks for your services.. God bless
Everything is delicious. The pineapple fried rice is bomb.π
This restaurant is WONDERFUL! My family went to the restaurant for my birthday and we had an awesome time! The waiter turned out to be the owner. He was smiling the entire time and was ALWAYS on the move! He was such a sweet guy who is extremely welcoming! He did everything possible to make sure our experience was PERFECT! When leaving, we learned more about him. He is personable and really good hearted. SUPPORT A LOCAL BUSINESS AND AN EXTREMELY DELICIOUS RESTAURANT! Thank you so much Ariel!
Great food, eat take out from here every couple months. The owner and cook are nice people.
One Of my favorites. I travel from Cleveland's westside just to go here. The food is beautifully prepared fresh end quite tasty and the price is right.. They even and allow you to bring in your own wine. The places busy I suggest to get their early.
A family of four ate and enjoyed our meal. Very affordable and our server was such a delight. Definitely will be back very soon
Went for lunch. First time ever there. Place wasnt busy as it was a late lunch. I got the Spicy Noodles as Iβm normally a Drunken Noodle guy. The food was delicious. The service great. The guy who cooked it even asked how it was. Very attentive and it was even cheaper than going to McDonalds or fast food. Paid like $10 for the lunch meal. 10/10 would reccomend.
THE RESTAURANT IS VERY NICE, VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED⦠THE MENU WAS FULL OF SO MANY WONDERFUL AND DELICIOUS CHOICES THAT I ASKED THE OWNERS FOR ADVICE⦠I CHOSE SEVERAL DISHES FOR DINNER!!! THE CURRY FRIED RICE WITH EGGS, CARROTS & PEAS IN THAI CURRY SPICES!!! THEN I HAD THE BEEF AND THE CHICKEN STIR-FRIED WITH LOTS OF JAZMINE RICE AND VEGETABLE!!! EGG ROLLS AND THE OWNERS SPECIAL FROZEN DESSERT!!!
THERE WAS SO MUCH I ASK FOR 2 TAKE HOME CONTAINERS⦠EVERYTHING THERE IS SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS!!!
I WILL BE BACK NEXT WEEK AGAIN!!!
This is a cute hole-in-the-wall Thai place. I picked up a takeout order and the hostess was extremely nice. However, my food was not good. I ordered the pad see ew. It was boiling hot, which I appreciated, but it had no flavor. The sauce wasn't sweet like how pad see ew normally tastes. The vegetables were also kind of mushy, so I wonder if they were frozen. I probably wouldn't order from here again.
The owner is so nice, the beef noodle
Soup and the curry duck are delicious! I was amazed with the total costs of our orders.
Highly recommend this restaurant!
I visited Thai Gourmet in Independence, Ohio last week and it was delicious! The restaurant is small, but cozy. I arrived early around 4:30 pm so I was the only person dining in the restaurant, I was waited on quite quickly even though there seemed to be only one server at the time. I will say that there was a steady flow of food picker-upers coming in.
I ordered the Thai Spring Rolls which were served in a cute boat dish with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. The rolls were very hot and crispy. They were quite good, I was able to take a few home for lunch the next day. Additionally, I ordered the Avocado Thai Entre with beef; it was delicious! The sauce had a pleasant taste and smell of coconut milk which perfectly balanced the spice in the dish. It was served with white rice which came in a separate dish.
Overall I would recommend Thai Gourmet. It is reasonably priced and has a great menu selection. My only criticism would be the portion size of the entre...I ate the whole thing and didn't have leftovers like I usually have from Thai and Chinese restaurants. Maybe it was just that good???
I am sure all the five star reviews are well deserved but this was a rough night for the restaurant and Tony our waiter. Very nice atmosphere and Food was generally tasty but served luke-warm and I was served a chicken dish instead of the shrimp I ordered. While I was offered a replacement dish it had already been too long of a wait for the original order. Perhaps an offer of a side of wok shrimp would have been appropriate - about a two minute effort. Tony, nice enough guy but jump out of your safe zone and show some enthusiasm. Sorry, just trying to be constructive.
Came here on a whim and now we will revisit every time we are in the area. Food was amazing and service was excellent! We ordered the Crab Rangoon, Spicy Wantons, Pad See Ew, and Orange Chicken. Highly recommend!
The Best wonton soup and crab Rangoons! The owner is a joy to have conversations with! Heβs so funny.
A group of us went here from work once every 1-2 weeks. Despite getting different meals, not once did we get anything we didnβt like. My absolute favorite though was their chicken-mango curry β with fresh, sweet chunks of mango in a perfectly creamy, sweet, & slightly spicy sauce on top of a medley of rice and fresh, sautΓ©ed vegetables. It is clearly homemade and I doubt you will find anything quite as good in any other Thai restaurant in Ohio. Once I was introduced to that, I only ordered that going forwardβ¦so flavorful & unique.
Service is always consistently quick and so friendly; the interior is warm and & very tastefully decorated, yet comfortable. The owner clearly takes pride in his lovely restaurant. So donβt let the exterior location in a strip mall on a busy street discourage you -- this is Thai food at itβs best!
Found this place by accident, and so glad we did! It is small and quiet, but friendly. Our food was delicious.
I'm up here for doctor appointment at Clinic. So every town we go to I enjoy finding Thai restaurant. We decided to check this one out this evening while we was up here. I will come again. Food was delicious. Server very nice and friendly.
First time we went there loved it. Had the monogolian beef The meat was tender had a Great taste too it. Our waiter was very nice, and courteous always checking on us to see if we need anything else. Great Service!! We will definitely go back.
Great people.
If they said it will be done in 20 min, come one hour later. You will be waiting, they get one star because they could have not wasted there customers time by telling them it will take an hour rather then 20.
Unacceptable
Fried rice is exceptional! Great food, atmosphere is a little cramped. Very good waiter, Hope to come again...
Excellent food and service. I will definitely be back and recommend to others.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The manager was the nicest person ever! The food, not to mention, was absolutely delicious! Me and my dad ordered the basil vegetables and green Thai curry and it was SO GOOD. We are vegetarian too, so finding vegetarian options that taste great is really hard but this place was absolutely amazing!
Great healthy food and the best service. Highly recommended!
In town for business. Stopped in to try the food. EXCELLENT food, Ariel knows how to engage with friends and customers. Make time to try this Thai food!
If you have not tried out Thai Gourmet in independence, ohio you need to NOW! Have eaten Thai all over the U.S. & Canadaβ¦no comparison! CLEAN. FRIENDLY. FRESHβ¦did i say clean?!!
The best!β¦THE BEST!!!! Thai food in the country! No complaints. Worth the drive wherever you are
Everything my boyfriend and I ordered was fantastic.
Amazing food and the staff are nice and even funny!
I've eaten Thai cuisine in Thailand, Los Angeles, Northern CA, N Las Vegas in addition to other cities I've visited and lived in during my 60 yrs. The meals were prepared both in Thai households - by close friends, and their relatives, in addition to restaurants. This is the WORST Thai? food I've ever tried to eat. Among the 6 items we ordered was chicken larb - consisting of blanched, unseasoned chunks of chicken; strange, coated, tasteless beef?salad (neua yang Nam tok); and a Hunan chicken dish w/super-starchy, artificial brown sauce - all of the sauces used in the entrees, and as accompaniment taste like cheap-bottled product. Even their "Thai roll" (wrapper) was tough, or old - or both? What a major disappointment and waste of $!
I know Aurora, OH may be out of the way for most Clevelanders, but Erwan Thai is definitely worth the trip.
Saw this place and decided to try it out. Best decision I've made in food in this area. Ordered pad Thai and steamed dumplings. Dumplings were good. The dipping sauce had a nice flavor. The pad Thai was amazing. Egg rich and the shrimp were cooked perfectly and sweet. Best pad Thai I've eaten in Ohio. Will be going back just for this alone, can't wait to try out the rest of the menu
Highly recommend. Local place with good selection great taste and friendly service.
Amazing customer service Areal was very courteous . Food is really good highly recommend this gem of a restaurant
The best value, taste, service. Same consistent staff and experience for 10 plus recycled years.
Great Service!!
Nicest waiter ever. Food was on point. Definitely going back. Extensive menu.
It was our first time ordering here. We chose this particular place because of the high rating. Maybe they were having a bad day because we had a few issues with this place.
1) The food came out 30 min later than we were told when ordering online.
2) The food was super salty
3) peanuts missing from every order of pad Thai
Overall my family was disappointed. I hope they improve service and food quality.
Surprisingly good food and nice atmosphere. Overall good thai and chinese food and absolutely love their vegetarian options. Their gourmet tofu is something you can't get elsewhere and definitely worth the trip (I had to double check with the server that it wasn't chicken). Waiting staff very attentive and kind. The owner is also very approachable and funny and will personally meet customers that dine-in. If you create an account online they will send occasional coupons as well!
Food is good, but the young man, who services everyone is fantastic.
Was there last night (9/15/22) and everything was WONDERFUL! My host/server was courteous, friendly and super helpful and the food was GREAT! I had a bowl of Hot & Sour Soup along with the the Yellow Curry Shrimp. Fantastic! Wish I lived closer!!!
I would add photos but the food smelled so good we ate it quick. Very satisfying. Very tasty. Delivered just as we ordered it.
Delicious food and great service!
The food tastes fresh and is really good IMHO ! I am in the area for work. I've been there three times in 10 days lol I've always ordered to go so I cannot comment on wait times.
I picked up vegetable coconut soup. The soup is so delicious, tasty and comforting. I don't live near Independence but I was in the area for a doctor's appointment. I've been craving this everyday since having their soup! Not only that but it has made me want to try other dishes from Thai Gourmet. So far no other coconut soup has come close. I highly recommend you get your Thai on at this restaurant.
Incredible food, the waitress was the nicest person Iβve encountered in the last month, comfortable environment- you should eat here!
Love this place , very friendly and never disappointed with the food quality and service! Many delicious food choices and Vegetarian options as well π 5 STARS π
The owner is really friendly and the food is really good ;)π₯°β€οΈ
The crab rangoons were pretty good. The Pad See was definitely ew, it had like 5 overcooked plain eggs . The food held no flavor and the chicken was questionable. The portion was huge but i only had a few bites and threw it away
Excellent and Quick service! Very flexible with the order when it comes to the heat level. Nice and authentic ambience!
Great food, outstanding service. Definitely stop by a couple times a month, even though it's out of my way.
Order took over 40 minutes which is not the actual problem but still not good. I orered Spicy Noodles with chicken and no vegetables. I received Spicy Noodles with vegetables and no chicken. Ordered Potstickers which were barely fried at all, making them something like a half fried fench fry . Second bad experience, will not be going back.
Absolutely fabulous!! Thank you to Ariel! Great food and great vibes.
I ordered 4 entrees and a side of mixed veggies for delivery. Two of the entrees were fried tofu (general tsoβs and sesame). Instead of cubing tofu and frying it like everyone else in the world, they use extremely thin tofu skin, roll it, then cut that into pieces. Then they batter it and fry it soft, soggy, and somehow a little stretchy. We tried to eat it, butβ¦ itβs got to be impossible to not imagine intestines while eating these. I meanβ¦ look at my pic and itβs even hard not to SEE intestine. The side order of veggies consisted of at least 75% onion, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots. The remainder was soft carrots, a piece of broccoli, a slice of mushroom, and couple snow pea pods. $35 straight to the trash and weβre left queasy and wanting to throw up.
Amazing food, amazing service!
Has my favorite Thai curry in the area!
This food was amazing. We got General Tso tofu and also the Orange Tofu. Both delicious and flavourful. Pot stickers were also tasty according to another member of our group. Highly recommend Thai Gourmet! Great food and great service!
The customer service at the Thai Gourmet restaurant is spot on! The food is always cooked to perfection. When I enter, Iβm always greeted with smiles and positive energy. The green curry with shrimp is by far some of the best in Cleveland. Also their chicken and shrimp curry fried rice is incredible. And donβt forget the bamboo shrimp appetizer, so good. The chocolate lava cake is incredible way to wrap it up. Thanks so much.
I was in the area and decided to stop and try this place and was pleasantly surprised. The staff is great. Very attentive and pleasant. The restaurant is clean and cozy and the food was excellent. So good in fact I came back the next day and the experience was the same. Definitely recommend this place.
Great food, best Thai food in Ohio is my guess.
Combo fried rice and Thai rolls.
I'll keep this straight to the point. Ate here before heading to Top Golf.
Pros:
Great staff
Nice owner
Ok curry
Cons:
The pad see ew was maybe the blandest and worst version I have had out of the 30+ Thai restaurants I have eaten at in the few states I have lived in. If you can go to Erawan in aurora or Peppermint.
Get the curry or maybe try the Chinese food but if you are looking for a Thai noodle dish you will leave severely disappointed
Wow I'm disappointed. I ordered sesame tofu. Got chicken. Asked for broccoli with it. $2 for this tiny amount. There's better places around for $12 a meal.
So I have been visiting Independence for the past week and a half and I have ordered from this wonderful tiny little quaint Thai gourmet restaurant. I can't get enough it is so spectacular in every way from the way they greet you to the food itself which is prepared with love and perfection. You can just tell that this family-owned restaurant really enjoys what they do and it shows in the food and the service. I will definitely be driving here from my new location at least once a week just to grab a bite for sure.
Always great service! Ari is the best!
Order spicy peanut, you won't be disappointed
I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and was greatly disappointed.
Flavors were bland. Portion size was decent but still unbearable.
Every experience at this restaurant has been better than the next. The gentleman that serves me, always provides great customer service. Last time he gave me a free coke. I highly recommend trying the pad Thai. Definitely will be returning back!
It was delicious and hot, I enjoyed everything I had. The waitress Elsa was amazing. I will return
We were on a trip to Cleveland for a day and since my wife was craving for Thai food we stopped here after a quick search. We were welcomed generously. We ordered chicken szechuan and chicken pad thai. We were tired and hungry after a long drive so we just ordered two entries, ate them fast and were gone. We were the only one dining but people kept coming for pickups. It's probably owned by a family and like all other Thai people i have known were extremely courteous and polite. The food was amazing and the service good. The quantity was good too and our server kept coming to check on us. Please visit this gem of a place folks and show them some love.
My favorite Thai place in Cleveland! In addition the great food, the staff is so kind and always provide amazing service. I come here every time Iβm in the area!
Delicious food and amazing staff!! We had pad thai, thai roll, thai pork with pineapple and a super yummy dessert! Elsa and Ariel knows how to make their customers feel welcomed and taken care of. If you're in Ohio, you should DEFINITELY visit this restaurant!!
Always the best Thai on the west side!
Staff was super polite while I waited for my to go order every person offered me something to drink while I waited. Pad thai was fantastic. I will certainly come back again
The BEST Thai food EVER!!! Owner is extremely friendly and fun. Food always comes out spectacular. I have been here many times for dinner and it's always a huge pleasure. 100000/10
This is a perfect place to stop if you want to have Thai food on your way to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We tried their curry fried rice along with red curry. The service and the food quality was excellent. We didnβt have to wait for more than 10 minutes for the food. Highly recommended!
This Place Is My Go To Place For Thai!!!!
Wonderful Customer Service!
Absolutely Love Their Food!
With A Great MENU!!A
You Will Not Be Disappointed Here At All!
Excellent. Always great service. Get the spicy cashew chicken
The service was amazing and the food was soooo delicious! I got the curry fried rice with their ghost pepper powder. The flavor is out of this world. Will definitely be a regular!!
Not a good option for Thai food.
I am highly disappointed in portion size. I put my finger in the picture just to show how small this portion is. I can in at 350 to order general TSO lunch (lunch order is supposed to be 9.95). They charged me 14.95 because it took until after 4 to actually place the order. Ok so I don't complain. .. I heard them say that someone cancelled on a general TSo order and I am under the impression that I got that cancelled order as my food tastes is not freshly made, maybe just reheated.... Anyway, I'll never return and if I miss out due to one bad experience that is enough...15bucks wasted.
Their Pad Thai is amazing, and I get it weekly, and their coconut soup is a velvety dream! And this is coming from someone who doesnβt care for soups. The staff is extremely friendly and so pleasant. I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend π
Their food is phenomenal, I have not had a bad experience.
Amazing food, generous portions, and reasonably priced. It was my first time here and I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!
Best food every, friendly owners and servers, we go there weekly!
This is such a great place friendly people are funny and make the atmosphere you can bring in your own wine no charge
We stopped here on the way back from Cleveland and were throughout impressed.
The waiter was incredibly funny, charismatic, and genuine.
The food was some of the best Thai food we'd had in Ohio. The Pad Thai and Spicy Noodles were amazing!
Just here if you're in Independence!
Highly recommend stopping here! The lunch prices are reasonable with a good portion size, and everything Iβve tried has been delicious. The wonton soup is only $4 and I mean it when I say it will rock your world. The customer service is fantastic as well, which always makes me look forward to stopping in. I attached a photo of the chicken and broccoli lunch special, which taught me today that I love bamboo shoots! Eat here, youβll be glad you did.
Favorite place to get Pad Thai
Best Thai food around
Fast, freindly & curtious. I ordered the curry fried Rice, veggie pot stickers & shrimp puffs. I was very tasty .
Tasty delicious food.
Fresh, hot, and delicious. Great prices for the portions! Visited for the first time tonight and we will certainly be back. The owner was so welcoming and excited to have us!
Great food. Friendly owner. Coconut ice cream is real nice as well.
The rolled gourmet tofu is by far the best tofu I've ever had. Amazing.
I got the veggie coconut soup and the chicken pad thai. Both delicious, and the pad thai portion was HUGE. It was dinner last night and lunch today!
I highly recommend dinning at this establishment. Arielle (not sure if that's how to spell his name) was FANTASTIC. So friendly as well as witty. The food was incredible!! I ordered the Pad Thai and the Beef and peppers, both were incredibly prepared. I stopped in based off other reviews and ended up being so pleased. I DEFINITELY will return..
I love this restaurant. I have been here multiple times both for dine in and take out and have always had a great experience. The owner is so incredibly kind. One time he even offered me a complimentary hot tea while I waited for him to finish up my takeout order. You donβt really find customer service like that anymore. Also, the food is super delicious. The shrimp cucumber soup is by far my favorite. Itβs so flavorful and very comforting, especially on a cold winter day. The avocado chicken dish is also amazing. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!
I recently had a late lunch with my daughter. The hospitality and food were great. We plan to return soon and often.
This was a pleasant stop to eat.
Being vegetarian I am always on the hunt!
The man in charge, who I assume to be the owner, was very kind, rather quick with a joke and fun.
The food was okay.
I'm not being mean in this, it was not bad by any means, however there was no spice to it, which I'm accustomed to when it comes to this genre of food.
I had the baked tofu which came with peanut sauce.
I then had Pad Thai, which is how I always judge a Thai restaurant.
The tofu was baked well, and had the flavors baked right in, which is exactly how I like it done.
In summary: if you are in the area and would like some Thai food, especially if you're not inclined to spicy food, this is a decent stop.
Would I come again?
Yes, if for no other reason then to hear the owner joke some more, what a fun guy!
Always great food. Sometimes, yes, the takeout is longer than expected but the taste, quality and freshness are worth it. One of the few small businesses/restaurants I will visit during the pandemic. Super nice owner and never disappointed in the quality and taste of food.
I went to a Thai restaurant and ordered from the βChinese Foodβ side of the menu. I thought I would regret it, but ended up quite happy.
I ordered the Governorβs Chicken and it was very good. I wish it had a bit of a kick to it, but I guess thatβs what the Sriracha is for.
Next time though, Iβll try some of their curries and see if they are just as impressive.
Our new favorite Thai restaurant! Had the yellow curry chicken and the orange tofu. The flavors are amazing and so delicious. The service is wonderful and very attentive. The owner/manager is so delightful and personable and cares that his customers are happy. He went out of his way to make a special drink for my daughter. He really didnβt have to but he insisted. Will continue to patronize this establishment.
