this is the second time having WGAF, the first time in person. i went with coworkers at lunchtime to celebrate. it was empty so we were seated right away. there were five of us and we each got two rolls so it took a bit to get our food but it wasn’t too big of a deal. i ordered the honey shrimp roll and king lobster roll. be on the lookout for the surprise from your waiter 😉

honey shrimp: kani, cucumber, avocado and soy bean paper. deep-fried and topped with popcorn shrimp and special sauce.

This place is absolutely incredible! We've been twice and the service is absolutely top notch. Our server has been incredible both times and he even remembered us! The food is amazing. Everything we have had has been amazing. The Singapore noodles are the best we've ever had! The ginger dressing is to die for. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Try it out!!

Food is top notch and so is the service. Lot that they can do soy paper and deep fry any of the sushi - some places won’t do that. We got some chicken friend rice and coconut curry udon noodles. I wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken fried rice, it didn’t have much flavor, but the waiter was great and took the dish back. The noodle soup was delicious and so flavorful. Sushi was amazing too. This is a family owned business and all the waiters were super helpful and were attentive to us. Will definitely come back here again. Price is super reasonable too.

This is our favorite sushi place in Ohio, and it has ruined all "regular" sushi places we were able to go to before. We have come 5 times now since February '24 and every single time, the sushi is amazing, and our waiter is the best and always remembers us. Our youngest got the ramen noodle soup bowl yesterday, August '24, and to quote her "it tastes like an angel in heaven." High praise from a 7 year old who lives for ramen, sushi and rice. Every time we make the trek to Columbus, this is where we eat now, and we always leave happy and so satisfied.

By far the best food I’ve ever had and the waiter was the most personable and kind I’ve encountered as well. I’m keeping this place in mind whenever I’m back in the Columbus area!

I chose the wonton soup as the free side. Also, there were some other choices like miso soup or salads. The chicken rice tasted sweet and flavorful with a few vegetables and pickled ginger. It is definitely not an authentic Chinese dish, but this flavor is unique. The service was great and WiFi was fast. The dining room was amazing, decorated in Japanese style with a good bar.

I ordered here for the first time yesterday. I develop really bad diarrhea one after consuming my food from here. This gave me food poisoning. Will never eat here again.

I never complain but we just got the Samba and Thai pineapple fried rice with shrimp and chicken. It was so crazy fishy and in not in a good way for seafood. I suspect they used fish sauce and WAY too much of it. I would say the shrimp looked delicious and chicken was not dry but the fish taste took over both meals and after spending $60 on pick up we are both so sick to our stomach that I don’t think we can even do it for lunch tomorrow. Also ordered fried rice for Samba but got white. Not a good experience

My tummy buried with hunger upon waiting for food they took almost more than an hour to get food and got cold ones very disappointing and disgusting.!

A restaurant that is 1/4 full should not have a wait time of 45 minutes.

Surprise - stumbled into one of the best meals this year. Fire Wok was 5 stars, above my expectations. 3 companions agreed their meals were well above expectations. Go, try it, and get the WonTon Soup - outstanding 😀sorry no pics.

Update 12/31/24. Open on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I can’t help but order sashimi. It is very rich and generous. I tried out new roll as well three kinds of fish and delicious.

Absolutely phenomenal food and service! We are in town for work and so happy we stopped here! Summer and Michael were amazing! Very professional, kind and friendly. This is how other restaurants should treat their customers! We will be back soon, before we leave. 5 Stars all around!

It’s been good thus far. I had the lunch Sambal Samba last time which was excellent with unique Indonesian spice flavors.

Food was amazing! The menu needs an update, drink ones are nice, but highlighted paper that's stained for food is not.

Because of the highly rated record we tried there as 1st time. The place looked great, clean and pleasantly quite with classic music.
The server/manager was polite and friendly and she provided great service. However, very disappointed with the food we ordered (3 different types of fried rice). Requested for extra spicy. Seemed like Hot oil was poured on as we opened the lid.. the bottom of containers were flooded with hot oil, yet not spicy at all. Fried rice was not fluffy but, soggy. I had to stir fried again to make them fluffy so, I don't waste the food. Not going again :-(

Great food, service & atmosphere. Good prices. I had 7 huge shrimp on my Cashew & veggie plate, my wife couldn’t finish her plate of noodles and shrimp & chicken. I highly recommend!!!

High quality Asian fare! This is the ONLY Asian restaurant that we have ever had such consistently good food and service. Fresh vegetables, fresh meats, take out orders are always 100% correct. The ginger salad dressing is what dreams are made of. Never had a complaint about our experience here. Highly recommend adding Wild Ginger to your restaurant routine!

Food was hot and seemed fresh enough. We got takeout and I was promptly greeted by the host/waiter. He was very nice, knowledgeable and quick. But the food in general was bland. Spring rolls were skinny and not very flavorful. Fried rice was bland and not packed with a lot of veggies/meat. Cashew chicken was not very tasty either. The salad was simply greens with a ginger-ish dressing.

Our waiter was a friend of the owners, apparently. Service was perfect, food didn't take long. We were pleasantly surprised and would go back. Big bowl of noodles was delish.

We brought a friend from out of the country here for dinner. We were waiting on by Jack who is super helpful and very attentive to the fact that I had a gluten allergy. He gave amazing recommendations for each of us. You could tell he loved his job!

The food was soooooooo amazing ! I had summer rolls, Garlic green beans and tofu for dinner and it was probably the best I ever had! Portions were big enough that I have lunch for tomorrow 😀

Excellent lunch! We tried a variety of dishes from sushi rolls to soba noodles and traditional American Chinese food and it was all beautifully cooked and presented. The wait staff were also super friendly and made our visit very pleasant. We’ll definitely be back!

Always the best energy in this place also everything I have tried from here has been great if you’re unsure about what roll to get. I absolutely love the honey shrimp roll.

This was a surprise for us. They had awesome craft beer on draft, the food was AMAZING, and our server (one of two twins who work there) was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Fantastic menu, very friendly staff!

Went for iftar. The food was fresh, tasty and a great quality. The Hostess was very friendly and patient. I had Chicken or Beef Satay Beef and Shrimp Dumplings (Shumai). This is a hidden gem. I will be back.

What a gem! We stumbled on this place as we headed away from the Columbus Airport and it did not disappoint. Possibly the best wonton soup I've ever had plus delicious socy eggplant with chicken and General Tsos. Everything was fresh and arrived hot. Waiters were super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth repeat visits if you're in the area.

Went for early dinner. Ambiance is nice. I experienced an excellent service.
They have extensive menu with mostly east asian dishes. It was right spice level at least for my taste. Foid was hot and fresh. Both Basil chicken and eggplant garlic sause chicken was delicious. Soup comes with some of the dinner menu item, which was nice. Steamed dumpling was ok.

Price $$ is reasonable. I would definitely recommend to try it out.

Take out. Sesame chicken-Chicken dry and lacked taste. Mango Chicken, mango was unripe. Disappointing. For the $$$, it was severely lacking.

The food was fresh and a great quality. The meal includes miso soup or salad, which comes out before your meal. The miso soup was amazing! Full of flavor, it tasted like the base was a fish broth. I absolutely loved it! The Japanese Eggplant dish was delicious! Service was great. The hostess and server were the same person, but she did not disappoint. The server made sure we were taken care of; frequently checking in on our table. The traditional Asian decor inside sets this restaurant apart from the others. It leaves you with something to remember that is greatly enjoyed.

Went in and ordered take away. Loved the interior and friendly service, but the best part was the vegetarian sushi! I will definitely be back and bring some people along. The bar looked really great too.

Best Thai food in Columbus. I had the seafood delight and I’ve honestly never eaten lobster that tasted as good as they made it. The honey ribs were superb and the fried rice decadent. Had to come back the next day. Cocktails could be better but overall still worth all 5 stars

Shrimp fried rice was made without soy sauce and just tasted like rice with egg and some vegetables. The shrimp had no identifiable seasoning. Salad was good but had way too much dressing for the portion. General Tso"s chicken was ok, not outstanding. Service was great, but we were the only people there until we were almost finished eating when someone else came in.

The reason why I gave 4 stars is because it's SO dark inside. If that's your thing, that won't be an issue.
However, the staff is so warm & friendly. We were VERY happy with our food. I feel like prices are competitive with other sushi restaurants.
We were very impressed with how big my husband's Ramen was. So big that he shared with me. Yay!

Atmosphere and service are great, but the food is underwhelming and forgettable. Host and server were very attentive making sure drinks never went dry. Pictured is the avocado salad, spicy singapore rice noodles with chicken, thai spring rolls and the thai curry chicken. Many better restaurants with similar cuisine around. Redeeming quality is large portions and affordable.

We’ve been here a few times now and every time we try something it turns out amazing. I would highly recommend the ribs! The two brothers are always so kind and they remember us when we come in!! Calm and inviting atmosphere. The food is always plated nicely and the portions are worth the money! We will continue to come back!!

My colleague and I have been looking for a new sushi place in the Polaris area to get toro preim tuna. We visited on Sunday evening, March 3. Our experience, both the Japanese and Chinese food, and the service was impeccable! Kudos to the ownership for Ring such an excellent staff and flavorful dishes. Thank you for being open in the Polaris Columbus area. For sushi lovers and Chinese food connoisseurs alike, look no further. We also had the crispy duck, and we enjoyed the spring rolls and dumplings for appetizer. Our dessert was the tempura fried ice cream, another gem. Keep up the great work, we will be back early and often!

First, service was excellent. Attentive and friendly.

Wonton soup was excellent.

Two of us got pan pan noodles. The noodles were not what we expected. Seemed to be taken directly from a package and, uncooked, placed under the freshly made shrimp, chicken and vegetables. Perhaps our expectation of the noodles in the dish was not consistent with how some typically cook the dish, but completely uncooked noodles were not enjoyable. Due to the noodles, I'd rank that dish a 3, only because the quality and flavor of the other ingredients compensate for the negative of the noodles.

General Tso's chicken was both flavorful and tender. I'd rank this a 4.

The beef in the peppersteak was drastically overcooked and overpriced at $32. Flavor of the sauce was good. I'd rank this a 2.

Overall, they seem to use quality ingredients and have excellent service. But not worth the price overall. We may visit again and get the general tso's to go, but I'd be hesitant to try any other dishes.

The Veggie Tempura and Aged Tofu was very good. Hot and Sour Soup was average. The issue was the Curry Chicken. There was no flavor of any Curry and the Green Peppers were soggy and not edible.

My husband picked up takeout from here last night and it was delicious! He said the restaurant was very clean and a nice place for a sit down meal. Everyone that worked there that he encountered was very friendly and kind. The meal was so good-great portion and everything tasted so fresh and light. We will definitely be back.

Honestly not sure what the hype is about. The food is overpriced, and it's not great. We ordered for my daughter's birthday, and had high hopes based on all the reviews, but apart from the sesame chicken, everything else was bland at best. The cashew chicken sauce was clumpy and lacked the rich flavor you'd expect. The sushi was bland and lacked inspiration, and the ramen left plenty to be desired.
On a positive note, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I hate to leave negative reviews, but after seeing a 4.8 overall we thought this was a "can't miss," and it was a miss.

We were visiting Columbus for a youth sports tournament and happened upon some good reviews of Wild Ginger and remembered having driven by it the day before. Our family of 4 ate dinner and everything was perfect from the amazing staff, to the ambiance to the sushi! Absolutely loved our experience and the kids (11 and 9) even wanted to go back again the next night!

Spent years at my former job frequenting Wild Ginger on the west side and couldn't have been happier to see they have a location at Polaris.
The sushi is fresh (highly recommend the Lonely Angel!!), spring rolls, soups and all the entrees I've tried are high quality. The team at the Polaris location is so fast and friendly every time... this place doesn't miss! I'm surprised they aren't packed out every time we go.

Good place to enjoy your food. Many options to choose from. Thai basil curry was delicious. Service was very quick. Overall good.

This is a hidden gem- just waiting to be discovered.

The atmosphere was upscale, the jazz music playing, black napkins and elegant decor all contributed to a sleek vibe.

Bathrooms are well maintained, clean and smelled fresh and pleasant.

They had paper menus for the food and more elegant drink and wine menus, I found this a touch odd.

The sushi bar and adult beverage bar were sectioned off from the tables and booths, giving each section a cozy feel.

The salad was different types of lettuce and that delicious Asian ginger dressing. It was clean tasting and didn't taste of preservatives, and was good. There was no white pepper in the table, I do enjoy a touch of pepper on my salad.

The Singapore noodles with chicken were very delicious and milder than some places. They had some of the best fried rice I have ever had. It truly was spectacular.

The hubs got the beef peppers and it was very nice. The beef was velveted to perfection and the use of Jimica was fresh and delicious.

We will return soon for certain!!

I’ve almost never eaten Asian food before, but I was feeling adventurous today and tried lots of new things. Can’t recommend this place enough!

This restaurant needs more recognition!! We loved it and it was great for our kiddos too! We were able to order some sushi rolls and feel fancy and our 4 year old enjoy some (really good) lo mein noodles. Our 10 month old even had a few bites.
