My husband surprised me and took me here for my birthday and OMG it was so amazing! Our bartender/server was the best I've ever had, it was so magical to just sit outside under the strings of lights and eat. And the FOOD! It was to die for. If you like sushi this is where you want to be I'd happily eat there everyday, it's a good thing it's an hour away for us or I'd be in trouble! π€£ But seriously if it's a toss up for you... GO you won't be disappointed!
I always enjoy dining at Simply Thai when in the area. Our food always tastes fresh and flavorful.
The fresh rolls as an app are our favorites , sushi never disappoints and the cocktails are well made, beautiful presentation and fun ! The service was great too. I always recommend Simply Thai .
First visit to this restaurant. We ordered two appetizers, the bang bang shrimp and the vegetable spring rolls. Both were delicious. Seating was a little uncomfortable on wooden seats adventures with no pads. I had red curry shrimp and my associate had the spicy noodle shrimp. I like hers more than mine. And I have to admit their sweet tea was very good. This was a good find.
Tucked away in a charming Jamestown location, Simply Thai offers authentic Thai cuisine & sushi.
The restaurant is fairly small with limited seating, so I would recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit during peak times/on the weekend.
The food & drinks that we ordered were quite delicious and I enjoyed each course!
However, I removed one star because the service was quite unimpressive & we didnβt receive the drinks that we ordered when we first sat down until we had finished our meal and were ordering dessert.
Overall I had a good experience and would recommend if youβre looking for some deliciously authentic Thai food!
Overall a good experience. I had the drunken noodles and the Thai chili margarita which I loved. My husband was disappointed with his duck lad nar. The duck was cooked well but the sauce was a little lacking in flavor, however we definitely would go back! Service was good!
Locals visited for dinner during Furniture Market. (Mistake, we know!)
Waiting 10 min or so for table for 6.
Place was busy but this was furniture market and should not be unexpected. Took 10 min for waitress to come by with menu and drink list. I had finally gone to bar to get the drink list and she arrived when I came back. She left for a few more min while she got us water. Upon return she took app and drink order. 30 min later, we had neither. Apps came out (1 before the other) and it turns out after asking about drinks, that our drink order had been "lost". Drinks arrived shortly after after apps arrived and they were TINY! $15 for a cocktail that had 4 different things in it as was about 3 -5oz total....(Our waitress told us they were proud of thier infusions liquors...and yes they are!) After eating apps and finishing drinks our food finally arrived...most were happy with thier food, but out of the 6 of us, 4 were unable to get what they wanted. They no longer offer yellow curry (on the menu) and they were out of the ingredients for thier pineapple dish. I ordered Pho and it came in what I would consider an "lunch" size portion and was already "built" for me. Traditionally that is not how it comes. My wife curry, while she said it was fine, didn't have much of the curry punch I was expecting. Just kind of blah. We didn't really complain and went about our business. No apologies or money off bill for mishaps and delay. I would expect better...especially at market time. With soon many good Thai restaurants in the area, I doubt I will be going back.
Service is friendly but slow. Prepare for a relaxing (longer) meal and you will enjoy it. Spring rolls and avocado rolls are excellent apps.
A nice, cozy ambiance for an intimate dinner. The duck and pad see ew are delicious.
Tried a couple times to eat here. Website says they are open, but never are.
I always enjoy dining at Simply Thai when in the area. Our food always tastes fresh and flavorful.

Cute, little restaurant with great food and service!
Great food, sushi tasted fresh. Pad Thai was delicious, service was awesome! Highly recommend

Very small portions for the price $27 for pad see ew and not much on the plate but it was delicious. We try to support local but with prices like this not sure we will go back. It was dinner and they served barely a lunch portion.
Always good. Sushi is fresh and well prepared. Inventive with delicious cocktails, using fresh made syrups.
I have been trying to support this restaurant for a long time, years. I have been rooting for it to succeed, but they keep on letting me down, and last night was a bad one. They totally bombed it. My Massaman curry tasted like what you'd get if your 12 year old tried to make it from a Youtube video. I mean I have to give them high marks for the color, I don't know how they nailed the color without including ANY of the usual spices. The food has been poorly executed here in the past, but not like this. I got cinnamon soup. My wife was also not impressed with her Pad See Ew. I haven't even mentioned the take away we got, while it is pretty decent, they forgot to leave the egg out of the fried rice that I ordered. It's tough to botch fried rice, so I can't offset that curry score just because of some passable fried rice.
I have been thinking for a while about what an opportunity this place is missing by only opening for lunch one day a week (Friday), there is a college full of 100's of faculty members minutes away, IDK about you but what does a college professor love more than Thai for lunch? Not much. I wish someone with talent would bring a nice Thai place to within a few minutes of the GTCC campus. Or someone take this place over and straighten it up, please.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, my server was super attentive and made me feel welcome! Will def come back
The salmon was tasteless and the vegetables were undercooked. Culinary skills lacking unfortunately. Disappointed
An excellent service, the good was delicious you can feel that it was made with love and passion, a really good place to enjoy really good food! I recommend you this place if you want to try a lovely thai restaurant.

Usually this is my favorite and go-to restaurant. However, I was really disappointed with our experience last week. We got takeout for my birthday, and our order was really messed up, which we found out of course after we left with our food. The food is absolutely delicious, but when you spend $120, you do expect to get what you ordered. I do think itβs very over priced, but it is USUALLY the best Thai food around.
Good food
Overrated. Food mediocre and very over priced.
Those drunken noodles though. Whew . The atmosphere is a little cold, but still adorable.
At a first glance, I thought they were pricey but after eating there, it is very much worth it. I had the drunken noodle and plum wine. It was so good! They were pretty full when we first arrived but they let us sit at the bar to dine. We had a new guy as our server and he was very nice and attentive. Everyone there was nice honestly and relaxed too. Iβve never given a full 10/10 for a place before but this is definitely a 10/10 for me!
Strongly discourage dining here! Unfortunately, a distressing incident occurred when our waitress engaged in racial profiling towards my brother. When the bill arrived, my brother reached for it, but the waitress abruptly took it back and handed it to our only white friend at the table, insisting he should pay (waiting a bigger tip I guess). Little did she know that my brother very wealthy, a generous tipper, and her actions resulted in her missing out on a good tip. Our white friend chose not to tip her at all $0.
Regrettably, this experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I personally won't be returning to this establishment. I encourage fellow black patrons to consider doing the same.
Love this place! Food is amazing and service is excellent.
Best sushi around! And the dumplings are delicious!
Best sushi I've had in years. Definitely will be back and I'll picks next time. π₯
Great food (I had the Drunken Noodles - really yummy!) and attentive service. I was not as wild about the atmosphere. Decor is rather austere, nothing soft anywhere to absorb the noise so it can be quite loud during meal rush times. Also, the seating is a bit hard on your posterior! Hard benches and chairs with a sharp edge - tough on the backs of your legs and behind.
We lived in Charlotte, a food mecca, for nine years. This Thai restaurant was by far the best Iβve ever had. Got the Pad Woon Sen. Chicken was cut small and not overcooked. Excellent. Will definitely be back.
Anastasia was AMAZING from beginning to end. From helping select a wine for half price wine Wednesday to finding the best choices to please the pallet! This was our first time - but it definitely will not be our last. The food was exquisite- the atmosphere jolly - the service divine!
Sundsy Monday CLOSED βοΈβοΈβοΈ
Last night July 13, at about 8:54pm was my fist time trying simply Thai. I discussed this with the very nice young lady that took my order over the phone. I received the order and get home to find that for my drunken noodle dish all my noodles where extremely over cooked to the point of mush. You know the noodles that have been floating in the water of the pot all day from service yea those noodles that's what you gave me. Now on to the pho that had to be the last in the pot because it was only beef crumbles in my brother that I think was supposed to be some type of sliced beef. Now the worst part of this dish was the herbs the gave me my basil was as brown as I am, and all the other vegetables looked like they came from the bottom of a six pan during pan change of a station. I had really high hopes but sadly I was very much so let down you could tell that if it was made properly it probably would be better but I definitely got the last person order last night where the staff just didn't care about how the product looked or tasted before it went out.
Sushi sat on a counter for 30 minutes before they brought it to the table and then mine and my kids was made wrong so waited another 30 minutes to get the correct sushi. My husband was done eating. Service was horrible. 1 server for the whole restaurant. It was so loud on the restaurant that we could not hear each other speak. Never received any refills. Ask for extra sauce and never got it. Would not recommend.
Says they open at 11am on Tuesdays. Went in at 12pm and all lights are off, all chairs stacked on tables. I heard one person in there washing dishes but no one else. First time going and really WANTED to try their food.
Had an anniversary dinner. Great wait staff.
Great Thai food. Nice atmosphere. About 30-40 dollars a person without alcoholic drinks.
I wish I could give it a higher review. I never received my food. Sat for 45 mins, my kids ate their sushi, but I never was served my dinner. Watched everyone else in the restaurant get served. The wait staff pretended nothing was happening and then seemed annoyed when we asked for our check so we could leave.
Neat probably family owned restaurant. Cozy atmosphere. Great food and quick service. Highly recommend for Thai food. Save room for Mango Sticky Rice.
Another amazing place in Jamestown. I must visit
I tried several cocktails and had the duck pad thai. Very delicious food and amazing cocktails. Josslin was my server and she made the experience above and beyond what I could imagine. Will be returning.
100 percent YES!!! This was a terrific experience and the tuna love bites is the number one thing to order. The best tuna appetizer I have ever ordered. The coconut curry was amazing, and they customize or substitute with no problem. It is very small so we sat at the bar, and the bartender was super friendly and gave great advice. The drinks are creative and yummy, and make sure to ask for white girl hot if you don't like spicy!
Very Good π₯’
Overall a good experience. I had the drunken noodles and the Thai chili margarita which I loved. My husband was disappointed with his duck lad nar. The duck was cooked well but the sauce was a little lacking in flavor, however we definitely would go back! Service was good!
The food! All is prepared fresh and well cooked. The sushi (Philly roll) and the Lad Nar (with duck) is superb! The servers are very friendly and seems to be a family establishment. I would definitely eat here again. The ambiance of the place is quaint for a date with a new someone or a well-established couple. They do reservations, walk in dinners, and take out.
Very small restaurant bar. Several parking spots in the front and a few dozen more at the lower back. Food was amazing, better than most larger places. I had pad Thai chicken and my girlfriend had mild fried rice with chicken. Good drink selection as well.
Always great service and food quality is second to none.
Lacked flavor, terribly expensive for the quality of food. Very large group who were so loud my group couldn't even have a conversation. In too small a space, dining on top of each other. Would not go back.
Delicious food, pretty and welcoming atmosphere, and very pleasant and friendly staff.
The food is very fresh and the restaurant is always impeccably clean. Can't wait to see the new cigar and whiskey bar they're opening next door.
AMAZING food, services, atmosphere, and prices. The food is so beautiful an colorful, the drinks are great. Me and my significant other had a phenomenal time at this establishment.
Always a treat
I have been going here since it has opened. I donβt usually write reviews but I figured it was necessary. The food here is good and the wait staff has been nice. But the turnover is bad. It is poorly managed and unless you are going early on a week night you are going to wait. When I have ordered take out in the past they have messed up my order about every other time I have ordered from there and they have done it so much I have gotten 2 gift cards from them if that tells you how bad it is. But this past time which may be the fifth time it has Happened, I ordered my dinner for both my kids and wife around 5:30 and they told me 20 min. Showed up around 6 to pick it up and waited until about 6:50 before it was ready. Only had maybe 15 people in the restaurant. And when the food finally came out the order was wrong again. So just a heads up. Food is good but something isnβt organized and not managed well.
Great food. Attentive wait staff. Only down side is that it is hard to hear your seat mates when more than a couple dinners are there. It gets loud.
Tasty dishes served piping hot and fresh, reasonably priced, friendly, good natured and attentive staff, yea, this spot is recommended for sure.
Tuna belly!
Simply the Best!!!!
They had taken Tom Kha soup off the menu....but my wife asked about it, and they made some specially for her...and it was Awesome!!!
Good price on Cosmos also!
Bad service... hard rice... fish definitely not fresh.. seaweed was old and smelly...
Nothing was fresh. The worst sushi we've ever had and the waitstaff acted like they would rather not be there and didn't care whether we liked the food or not.
Good food and service. Sushi was great.
Ordered for the first time here and got bad food poisoningβ¦ wonβt be coming back
Delicious
Friendly staff, very accommodating. The food is good, clean upscale ambiance. Light music, great vibes.
Nice customer service good food good location 10/10 loved it
Great Thai food, very good service, all were more than satisfied!
Tasty Asian and sushi options, as well as curry. A bit pricey. Specialty sushi ~$15/roll. The service was a bit slow and scattered. The sushi came out first with at least 10 minutes before the rest of the food came. It was nice to try once, but would go somewhere else before making that our first choice again.
Met a friend for lunch there today and was so glad we chose this place. Very quaint and the food was delicious! The waitress was very efficient and courteous. Will definitely dine here again.
We love this place! Itβs small and intimate, which can sometimes mean itβs hard to get in. We had a sampler appetizer, love the money bag and the spring roll. Three choices of dipping sauces, we had to ask for a refill. We shared the cashew pineapple with chicken. It was just delicious!! I highly recommend!
Really bad service
It was a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The ambiance was peaceful with subtle music. The food is high quality. Would recommend Pan Roasted Salmon as it was perfectly cooked with fried vegetables and white rice. Spicy Noodles dish is the most recommended dish here. Will be trying it soon.
Delicious π
Food (Dumplings, Pho, and Sushi) and drinks (Red wine and Green tea) were all amazing! Service was also great! Can't wait to go back on a Wednesday when their wine bottles are half off!
Oh baby shot, sushi roll is my favorite out of all of the sushi I have ever had...you must try it!!
Gotten take out many times. The last time, they put pineapple and tomatoes in a kid's chicken fried rice. Unimaginable why they would do that. Gave them another shot and they were out of everything and could only fulfill half our order. Then they left half of the existing items out. I've given them multiple chances but sadly I am done coming here :(
Food was very good! However, their website had different prices than the restaurant said when we ordered. The discrepancy was not a small amount. Manager said the prices were changed last week but website had not been updated and he wouldnβt do anything. If a website cannot be updated it should be taken down. Had we been able to order from somewhere else we would have,
Great food in a unique little setting, awesome! :)
Service was very slow.
Food flavor quite acceptable, the spice/star is no joke and a medium spice was equivalent to a 5 star heat Thai item in WA state.
Prices are quite high.
We've been to Simply Thai several times and ALWAYS enjoy it. Always a hit, never a miss. Great food, good service.
Delicious! Small, intimate space. Very friendly staff and family owned/operated. Great spot for date night. The bartender knows his stuff! SUPPORT LOCAL!
Alright Jamestown, I'll be back. Didn't expect you to have a great Thai restaurant hidden in plain sight, but I'm so glad I looked.
I meant to leave about half of my order as lunch for tomorrow...before I knew it though, I had consumed every last bite. The Money Bags were cute and very good. The Yellow Curry Fried Rice with Duck and substituting peppers for the tomatoes was very good. Best duck I have had in a while. After pouring what was left of the sauce served with the money bags, the dish was incredible. Very flavorful.
Service was great. Friendly and helpful staff.
I ordered Tom yum soup w/ shrimp, my sil ordered beef pho. My Tom yum soup was just basically broth which was really good compared to other restaurants. But it had like 3 shrimps and some stringy mushrooms , I ended up just taking it home and adding my own meats and veggies. The pho tasted watered down, it was bland which made the meat bland. According to their online menu our total was supposed to be around $22, and even cheaper if we ordered on grubhub. Our bill came back to $27, I have never paid over $7 for my soup and they wanted $12+. So beware they are expensive.
Great food that offered opportunities for adventure served by helpful staff in a delightful atmosphere.
Donβt waste your time driving here the hours on the door reflect a totally different time than what they let you in for - Got Their At 9:00 they donβt close till 10:00 total waste of time
I love this place! The staff is amazing and the food is incredible. It helps that it's only a 15 min walk from my house.
Loved this place. Will definitely be back. Waitress was so sweet. Visit visit visit.
Absolutely love this place & the other restaurants on Elon. I had to try as much of everything as possible from a short visit. All of the meals were made very fresh & amazing in flavors. The atmosphere comfortable. The staff & service are friendly & helpful. Next time Iβm in town I shall return.
Very nice and delicious food!

This place is TOP NOTCH!!! Very detail oriented with full flavor profiles!!!! The massaman curry was amazing!! Small inside. If you love Thai food you won't be disappointed π€©
My sushi was excelente. Muchos gracias
I really don't like to complain, so to keep a long story short...
(This is for takeout)
- Please tell me if I'm going to be waiting 35+ minutes instead of 15.
- Please open the bag and make sure it looks okay after you drop it (accidentally, I understand) right in front of me after waiting. : (
- Deep fried rolls were terribly inconsistent with some having next to no breading (and the sauce sort of goes everywhere when dropped).
- Staff is VERY kind, but please don't tell me its being cut when I have to wait 20 more minutes. I suppose I was under the impression that means its coming soon, which could be my mistake.
- Prices are okay.
- Crunchy roll was great!
- Some of the better sushi in the area.
If you are eating in person I'm sure you will have a great time, but I think this will be my only visit unfortunately.
Excellent service and food was excellent. The pad thai was delicious. Old fashion was delicious.
Every time I order from here i have to check my bags before i leave because they're always forgetting something like an extra sauce, etc. This last time they messed up an entire entree in the middle of dinner rush & raining outside so i had to drive all the way back just to tell them they lost a customer. There are other Thai restaurants nearby.
Always a pleasure
One of my favorite restaurants in the Jamestown/Greensboro area. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, great drinks and ambiance, and their staff is sweet.
Food good, but didnβt get what ordered for takeout during Covid. First snags, picked up order , gogg Th home andd S.C. no salads. Went back and picked up salads. When went to eat, found thss as t the shrimp Currie, had only chicken and no shrimp . Paid more for the Shrimp!! Well, I guess need to decide what to saβΉοΈ
Great place and the sushi is excellent!!!
Place was really nice. Waiter very accommodating. My husband had the roasted duck. It was perfect. I had the fish with fried rice and vegetables. Very good and plenty of food.
Pretty good
Service good and fast
Price is a little higher then normal.
Fantastic food, great staff. Only "issue" is that sometimes service can be a bit slow as the place gets very busy!
I loved it
Awesome food and service
I loved it
Great service with a good menu selection.
It was great..
Cozy place, good food, good selection of Asian beers and sake. Service has always been good. The wife and I go periodically as it's right down the road from us and she loves the sushi.
My first time going to this establishment has ended up being a terrible situation. The waitress added an extra β0β to the tip tacking a hefty charge to my credit card. After speaking with the manager for multiple days, on a daily basis.. and after being told I was getting a refund. Nothing has happened. DO NOT GO TO THE RESTAURANT.
Feel was good. Small and intimate restaurant. Great for a relaxing evening or even getting a drink. Recommend if looking for good Thai food.
The Tom Kha soup was delicious and my Larb salad was also good, definitely on the salty side. We found service to be friendly but slower than we would have liked. I would love larger water glasses. With spicy food, small water glasses don't cut it if they don't leave a jar of water on the table for you.
Great food... Sometimes slow but worth it.
Very delicious food and friendly staff! Best shrimp pad thai!
Good food and good service.
Food was delicious! Service was great! My only issue was it took 35 minutes for my lunch special to arrive.
Great food. Sushi was wonderful!
Loved the location, atmosphere and food! Will definitely return!
The service was great! And food was A+
My friend was having a Birthday Dinner party and decided to have it at Simply Thai. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. I had the calamari, Pad See Ew and a Thai Tea. The food was delicious and I would recommend this restaurant for anyone craving Thai in the Jamestown area.
Food was good but restaurant was so noisy you could not talk with anyone.
More of a Pub type establishment. Food was ok..calamari rings overcooked. Not my type for Thai food.
This is a wonderful little spot to have some good wine, great food and sit and share time with your friends and loved ones. Small, quaint but always quality food and service. I highly recommend.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
5/5
Charming industrial minimalist look. Staff was friendly and courteous. Cocktails where very well done. I had the Mana Potion. And the panang curry was on point.
Love this place! The food and service are both amazing! Atmosphere is quaint and cozy!
Great drinks and food made with fresh ingredients. Helpful servers. Tasteful decor. Easy parking. Our favorite Thai/ Asian restaurant!
Delicious!!!
