Absolutely delicious! Got the beef yellow curry with coconut rice and 2 chicken satay. Only issue was the amount of peanut sauce for the satay. Both little cups were barely filled. There was only enough food 1 piece of chicken per cup so I had 6 without any sauce. Other than that, the food was amazing.

My mom loves the Yellow Curry and I like the Thai Teriyaki and Chicken satay. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and the service is amazing. I usually do takeout and my food is hot and ready when we arrive, but when we dine in the staff is friendly and goes above and beyond. My mom has difficulty using her hands and they helped her box her leftovers.

Kitchen Mae Kong was a great experience!
As soon as we walked in we were greeted and taken to our table. They were attentive and took our order in a timely manner. Both of our servers had great customer service and were friendly. We started with the summer rolls as our appetizer which were delicious. We then ordered pad Thai chicken and shrimp which was delicious as well. For the dessert we ordered the mango 🥭 sticky white rice. We are satisfied with our food and service and definitely recommend this place.

Tried it twice. Service was excellent and presentation was beautiful. Food is good, I enjoyed my meal but some dishes were a little too tomato and mild red pepper forward for my taste. I will probably eat there again.

We love coming to this place for our special occasions. This time I had the crispy duck and he had the pad see ew, those were delicious! You guys always give us the best service!

Good has went downhill in my opinion. Sushi wasn’t bad, but the fried tofu, peanut sauce and spring roll sauce sucks. Would recommend that someone from the restaurant visit Thai House in Charlotte to get some pointers. Very disappointed in my food this evening.

Always good food and quiet atmosphere

Don't order take out here they will ignore you when you come in the door. Doesn't ask if you need help with anything while there literally no one in the restaurant. I can see a bunch of people in the kitchen and yet it take them over 25 min just to complete an order. Needless to say I never got my food because I was ignored and I waited over 45 min and still got ignored. I just left with disgust and will never come back here ever again.

Always fresh food. We are always welcomed with warm friendly staff. Oei is our special friend! She remembers everything from our last visit. Makes us feel so special 💖

The atmosphere is so relaxing here. Beautiful woodwork from Thailand and the painted surfaces are peaceful greens hues. The foods great too. I’ve had the curry,Pad Thai and stir fry and nothing disappoints.

Literally best thai food ever!!! Please get the thai tea it’s so good I almost cried, the aburi sushi roll is AMAZING!! ANDD get the thai wings 🤤that brought me to tears‼️‼️ The workers are so nice as well, they treat me like a queen every time I go👸🏻 I ate so much and the price was SO worth it because the experience I had was phenomenal 🙏🙏

Great atmosphere

Everything with our meal was ok....EXCEPT when it came to the Shrimp Summer roll. We were so disappointed when we got them and saw that each roll had 1 shrimp for each roll. Never have I seen that level of cheap before. Also, when you look inside, it's honestly mostly lettuce. Probably the saddest Shrimp summer rolls I've ever had. It felt like such a waste of money.

Excellent food paired with excellent service is always a winner in my book. I highly recommend the Thai style pad Thai.

I order from here all the time and I love the Tom Yum Shrimp Hot Pot. It is so delicious with the abundance of mouthwatering flavors. I highly recommend this place every time!

Absolutely wonderful food, we especially love the chicken fried rice. It's a bit expensive so we can't come here as often as we'd like. But it's great every time.

The food was very good. The service was a little slow and we had to ask for our check. It was Valentines Day though and we chalked it up to that.

The temperature inside the restaurant was sickly warm and humid; not comfortable at all. The food was just okay. The non-alcoholic drinks are way over priced. The service was good once they noticed we were waiting.

This is our new favorite restaurant. We are door dashing from here at least 2x a week. The shrimp summer roles, the rainbow salad, the sushi are all great. But the pad Thai is over the top delicious.

I'm so happy I found this place. I had the soup which is a complete meal in itself. Delicious broth with meat balls, sliced pork, vegetables, etc. very flavorful. Atmosphere is great and the service was too. I went earlier in the week and I'm going back again today. Nothing like a good hot bowl of soup on a cold day.

Good food

We went thru Gastonia on way to Charlotte. Just happened to Google for some Asian food. We only saw Kitchen Mae Kong. Just in a strip mall area in a small town. OMG food was awesome, service unbelievable, very nicely decorated. This was like finding a needle in a hay stack wow. I will visit again thank to the wonderful ladies waiting on us. Merry Christmas everyone. Let's keep these folks busy here!!!

I had pot stickers and pad Thai. DELICIOUS! The food came out really fast(lunch-time and slow business) but the service was, in true Thai fashion, friendly and with a smile. The atmosphere was calming. I enjoyed my experience.

Almost didn’t stop as we we’re looking for a standby when in the area, Thai House, formerly in this location. Glad we stayed. Potstickers, green and yellow curry all very tasty. Fast friendly service. The fixtures are from the previous restaurant and a bit worn but comfortable.

Absolutely the slowest restaurant I have ever eaten at, sat for at least 45m while the waiter kept saying we so busy with only a handful of people even in the restaurant.......I think she meant our cooks don't know what the hell they're doing, because the food screamed it as well. No apologies or adjustments to the bill for the slow and slack service. Will never visit here again, I've had better at to-go only Asian restaurants.

I love this place. It's great that Gastonia has such a great Thai place close by. I'm a huge fan of curry dishes, so I love the Singapore Noodles and the Yellow Curry, both with chicken. The service is fast and friendly, and the decor inside is really beautiful and intricate. If you like Thai cuisine, you should definitely check out Kitchen Mae Kong!

I'm a regular and absolutely LOVEEEE the Pad Thai!

The Food was great, except that we waited an hour before we got our food. I wanted the Jasmine Tea but was told they didn't serve it after three p m (not sure if she understood the question). So I ordered a sweet tea. To me the sweet tea did not taste good. So I told the waitress that it did not taste good and could I get a Thia Tea in its place? The Thia Tea was very good. I was alittle surprised when I got the ticket to pay that I had been charged for both sweet tea and thia tea after what I had told the waitress.

Ive been here a few times. The prices are great for the high quality of food. The staff are very kind and the restaurant is clean and relaxed.

Ordered carryout. It was all excellent. We ordered red curry with beef, pad talay, and misso ramma. Also ordered a roll (sorry forgot the name) Will definitely be ordering food from here again!

The chicken satay and sushi is pretty good however the pad thai was really oily and was lacking a bit of flavor if I'm honest.

Absolutely loved it. Went for lunch and quick service. Ordered the pork belly chef special with medium spice and it was so flavorful and perfectly textured that I was literally stunned at the first bite. Wait staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, my drink never reached half empty without an offered refill. I tipped 30% and will gladly do so again. Absolutely will be coming back here again and trying more of these incredible dishes.

Clearly this is an authentic Thai restaurant. The atmosphere was incredible. The service was excellent. The food......well.....if you do not like Thai food then you will not like this place. The food was some of the best if not the best Thai food I have eaten. The soup, Coconut Milk Soup, I have never had before and it is absolutely wonderful. I had the Kee Mow and my wife had the Pad Thai Noodles both with chicken and both excellent. A must go for a wonderful expierence.

This place has good food, flavorful pad thai and green curry. However, it is pricey for what you get and their kitchen closes 30 minutes before the restaurant does.

2nd time here. Such a great experience. Pad Thai with chicken, Montana Roll, and Nigiri Unigi were awesome. Ambience is wonderful (love sitting up at the bar, great atmosphere). Service is outstanding. Can't wait to go back. :-)

I can't say enough good things.
Food is always a 10, wait staff is so attentive, they even know our usual order without having to ask.
The only time I've ever had an issue here was because of other patrons being loud.

This picture really doesn't do it justice but literally every chicken wing from the Thai Chicken I ordered wasn't cooked enough. One wing literally was filled with blood. I'm utterly disgusted. This is a serious health issue.

I like to call in my order because I like to change a few things. They get it right every time!!

The food here is always excellent and the service impeccable. The restaurant is clean and well decorated but showing some signs of age. Definitely worth the stop in.

The restaurant itself from the outside seems ordinary and cookie cutter but once you step inside you will feel as if transported to Thailand! The decoration, the ambiance and the beautifully intricate woodwork! And above all the food and service was amazing! A must visit hidden gem!

This is one of my favorite local restaurants. It has excellent veggie sushi and fantastic beverages (iced jasmine sweet tea, iced thai coffee). The pad see ewe with tofu is my favorite dish. The service is spectacular and the environment is luxurious. It's always a good experience here.

My boyfriend and I came here on a whim for lunch one day and the miso ramen was enough to want a second round. Last night was our anniversary so we decided to go there again. Let me tell you, these people do not disappoint. The server recognized us and they were very attentive, the food was sensational. I had the pork belly basil and he had the par som pla. They even remembered the sake that I like ❤️

First experience there as a DoorDash delivery driver, and the staff were very pleasant. The environment was clean and calming, and the service was of excellent quality and prepared in a timely manner.

I went here a few months ago with my boyfriend at the time and it was really good. He had eaten there quite a few times and we finally went together and I was pleasantly surprised. The interior decoration and design was really cool and the waitress was super sweet. Will definitely go back.

Vegan options! Despite not listing tofu on the menu, you can order dishes with tofu as your protein of choice. The yellow and red curry were both flavorful and not too spicy.

This place is amazing! I live in Greenville SC, any time I have to go north to Charlotte or that direction, I always time it so I can stop by for lunch or dinner. Lady who runs s the place is very sweet and always full of advice. Food is top notch! Kudo's!

I don’t like to write bad reviews even when the meal does not meet my expectations 😔 but I have to be honest. i came across Kitchen Mae Kong in a last minute turn while returning home but I had it saved in my “Want to go” list so now I can cross it off my pending list. The place is Beautiful, is very different than anything I have seen in Gastonia so far. The staff is amazing, super attentive, I ordered to go and was sitting at the bar, waiting, and everyone asked me if I have been helped and when I said yes, I was offered water or of I wanted something to drink. That was nice. Now, the food. I ordered two rolls, I think they were the crunchy dragon roll and tempura shrimp roll, can’t read it very well in the receipt but pretty sure those are the names. The rolls are big, the presentation was nice but as difficult as it is for me to say this, they tasted more like the store-bought rolls. I am going to try other rolls later but I think they can be better. I am a sushi lover and never miss the chance to try different places.

I can't say enough good things about this place. We just discovered this recently and have continued to get DoorDash from them ever since. The food is fresh and hot, even when it's being delivered, and the portions are perfect. I feel so lucky to have a place like this in this area as opposed to somewhere like Charlotte. The sushi is also incredibly good and I am extremely picky when it comes to sushi. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Food is great! We had spring rolls first, absolutely delicious! My husband had beef and broccoli. He was disappointed because he said it was too salty. I had it later and liked it! I had the pineapple-fried rice with pork. It was good but they left out the pineapple. I was disappointed that they would forget a major ingredient. And it was canned too! So that was very unfortunate.🤔😖 Also, the tea was not good this visit, too weak. I asked that it be taken off the bill, which it was. But I think we'll go back.
