The restaurant is spacious, quiet, and has a very comfortable atmosphere. Our waiter was friendly, nice, attentive, and overall excellent. The food was great. We got the Crispy Spring Rolls as our appetizer. They were very fresh, hot, crispy, and delicious. For our entrees we got Panang Curry with Chicken and the Thaicoon Sizzling Platter with Pork. I also got a Thai Tea which was perfection.

The Panang Curry was really delicious and creamy. Excellent flavor and perfect spice level at 2 (I didn't feel like going crazy). However, it came with only the chicken and a handful of sliced red bell peppers on top that felt like a garnish. To be fair the menu did not say there were suppose to be vegetables in it but every other restaurant I've gone to makes the dish with more vegetables. There is an option to add vegetables so I may try that next time. I wanted to get the curry with brown rice but they were out of it. We had arrived shortly after they opened for dinner so it was a bit disappointing to hear they were out of things.

I will note, the Thaicoon Sizzling Platter felt very much like a curry dish with the yellow curry in it. If you want another curry option besides Green, Red, and Panang, consider this dish.

Overall we had a very good time and I look forward to dining in or stopping by for takeout in the future.

YAY! I am happy to report that whatever was going on here has been corrected. We've eaten here twice in the past month and both times it was excellent. That said, the kitchen service is slow, so be patient bc there's only one chef.

Restaurants are a tough biz. Even harder when you ignore customers and can't even take a food order. The good news is, your competitor down the street was great.

I come in there all the time for takeout and the recently I went in there to pick up lunch and the owner who is also the cook was so nasty to the only girl working and I was just how appauled at how this woman talked to her employee... They're going to have a hard time keeping servers with the screaming

Best Thai food in town my favorite since the early 2000s!

Had a sinking feeling when I picked up the bag and it felt light. Picture is $16 - chicken pad Thai with 5/5 star spiciness requested.

The chicken is incredibly dry, the egg is spongy. It's cloyingly sweet. I would estimate it's maybe 10oz of food. It's also not spicy. EDIT: I had to drop to 1 star. There were a few thin slices of chicken on top and that was it. Maybe 3/4 of a single tender. Embarrassing.

Go to Kao Gang - for a few $ more it's in every way better. Go literally anywhere else for thai.

A bit of a mixed bag. This used to be my favorite Thai place to go to, especially since it’s right near my house. However, I have noticed that it’s gone downhill a bit sense and are a bit on the pricier side. Prefer other Thai establishments over this one nowadays.

Very good foods, the reason for 4/5 is that they don't have dinner menu online or anyway to look at. Only by phone thru words of mouth, so its very hard to decide what to get without an image or description.

I have been going to this place since the end of high school. I moved away so I normally get excited to come home to go here for their shrimp fried rice, but the other day I went and the food tasted and looked burnt in some spots or like I got the bottom scraps of the pot. I was beyond disappointed but thought maybe I had bad timing or whatever.. went back today and the same thing. I give them a 3 for all the years of great quality, but it sucks because it seems they have fallen off.

Over the past year you will find multiple reviews regarding the service and how bad it recently has become. The purpose of having patrons write reviews is so management can learn what issues may be going on inside their business. Then take the opportunity to correct those issues and "HOPE" the customer who took the time to write a review, will give them a second chance. Apparently the management of Thaicoon does not read these reviews, or care about the opinions of their guests. Because the service still sucks at Thaicoon.

Go there frequently and have always had a great meal. Sometimes its a bit busy and you may have to wait for your meal but it is worth it. If you don't like spicy food keep the heat at level 1 or less. I always do level 2 because I like the heat just a bit turned up. The spring rolls are delicious. I've had Pad Thai, Chicken and Vegies, Combination Fried Rice and all were great. Everything tastes fresh every time.

Stunningly RUDE and poor service! Both the server and manager kept arguing with us for 5 minutes when we requested to be seated at another empty and non-reserved table. They kept saying that the “it’s the same table”. More importantly, they basically asked if we even wanted to eat at the restaurant, at which point we left and vowed to never return.
Beware of this place. If you have company and do not want to be treated poorly, avoid this place at all costs.

First time here. It was recommended by the concierge at our hotel.I could write a negative book about the service but I’ll tell you briefly. They have two servers. They were about 50 people in the restaurant. I said to the waitress that they’re making it tough on her because some people must’ve called out sick. She says we always have two servers and two servers only very rudely. She was extremely rushed. We waited forever for refills of water. We had to get up to get silverware from another table.It’s really a shame because the food was actually very good but the service was poor. They could really expand their business if they brought on more servers and better accommodate their existing customers. What a shame.

I ordered from here off postmates. The order gave me an approximate wait time, which I know is APPROXIMATE, of 45 minutes but the order didn't arrive for over an hour past the given time. The crazy thing about postmates is that restaurants have the ability to update their wait time which they clearly didn't. If they had, I probably would have chosen to order something else as I had a meeting and was not able to leave to grab my lunch. Very inconvenient and deceitful. Bad business practice. WILL NOT ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for over ten years I recently got two items to go and the portions were much smaller. I asked to talk to the owner I waited 15 minutes for her to tell me that this is the new size for the lunch order and also held her hands up and said to me sarcastically "Prepare! because the prices are going up in December". Great attitude to a customer who's brought friends and family there for years. Never going back.

Fantastic family owned restaurant that's been here for 30+ years. Food is consistently good, with authentic Thai recipes. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I've been eating here since I was a small child, and always try to catch a bite when I'm in the area. Lunch specials are a great deal, and they have a full bar.

They used to be my favorite Thai restaurant. Not sure what happened, but recent changes have left them understaffed, rude, and quality has plummeted. It’s quite unfortunate. I give them two stars because their food is decent, but being treated like I’m a burden on the phone because they’re understaffed and busy (far more than once) is a deal breaker for me.

Ordering to go was not a pleasant experience. I was told my order would take 45 minutes (since they were so busy) so I waited before leaving so I would arrive to pick it up at the estimated time. When I got there, the place was a ghost town and my food had been ready for almost half an hour and was marked on the ticket as "promised by" a time only 15 minutes after my call. The bag was stapled shut and no fork, spoon or napkin provided (not that I knew until after I left).
I know flatware is a weird thing to get bent out of shape about, but a fork for my fried rice would have been appreciated.

Been going there every Friday for lunch for 5 years now. It’s typical that the servers slow to get your drink order and the food takes a minute. But recently the service has become ridiculous, having to ask for silver wear even though I’ve been sat for 20 minutes and already have my small pre meal salad, portions have been getting smaller and smaller each week(I know because I get the exact same dish weekly), serving tables that have been sat 15 minutes after you, with not an ounce of understanding that working people don’t have 2 1/2 hours to beat lunch. There are plenty better places with service that doesn’t require you to prep your table, constantly ask for more water, and have a general understanding that those working a 9-5 don’t have all day to get lunch. Avoid like the plague!

Good food

I have been coming to thaicoon since I was six years old. 20 years later and today will be my last time ever going back. I came in for dinner and was greeted by an angry server who was visibly and audibly unhappy to have to clean a table for us to sit. I ordered the same thing I’ve ordered every time that I’ve eaten in ordered or out from Thaicoon - soy sauce noodles with fried tofu and chicken, 2 stars. Spicy enough to clear the sinuses but not enough to be inedible. Tonight it was so incredibly hot it was beyond inedible. Left me feeling like I could breathe fire. I figured it just be because I upset the waitress by coming in during the dinner rush? I tried to fight through the heat but couldn’t bear it after a few bites. I asked the other server if It would be possible to have a new one made since this was unlike the heat I’d ever experienced in my past orders. He was hesitant initially but seeing that if taken less than 5 bites, he agreed to send back and make a new one. Within minutes I could hear screams from the kitchen from what was presumably the chef and possibly the first server: “I’ve never seen her before in my life! She doesn’t know anything!” over and over. So loud that we not only could hear clearly, but were made so uncomfortable we knew we needed to leave. So we did. We paid and we tipped just as we would have if the service was as it should have been. But we will not be back. What a shame that we were not worthy of an ounce of respect. I’ve never written a yelp review before but this was such a horrific experience I felt it was necessary.

We stopped into this little restaurant on a long weekend vacation to Florida. It was very crowded when we went but the food was phenomenal. I had the lobster roll when I would highly recommend it to anyone. Good place for sushi!

Worst Service Ever... I've visited this restaurant on several occasions but my last 3 visits I've had to deal with Chelsey the owners rude daughter. She is not good for the front of the house. I also work in the service industry and every time I go to that restaurant and I see her my experience is bad. The restaurant does however serve great food, and the bartender is very helpful and friendly but seems like he isn't allowed to do anything except refill and make drinks. I would give this restaurant a 5 star review if Chelsey did not have to deal with customers, she needs to learn how to speak to cutomers as well as she seems to have severe anxiety and should get some help with that.

The Combination Rice with a side of the house duck sauce is like no other. The Duck is quite good as well. The owner/manager? waits tables as well and is brisk, efficient, courteous.

Great atmosphere and delicious Thai food. Is now re-open (summer 2018) after a period of closer. Authentic Thai and sushi. Soup of the day is always incredible, Best got and sour I have ever had. I recommend the Drunken noodles as well. Most dishes you can choose to add spice to your tolerance. Also a choice of shrimp, squid, chicken, beef with most noodle dishes like Pad Thai. Friendly and efficient staff. Serves alcohol. Good parking with spaces out in the back of the plaza available with a back entrance that has beautiful plants that greet you at the stairs, especially when the Blue Water Lilly are in bloom.

Had to walk out a second time at this place. Super disappointed. Have been coming her for almost 9 years now. Waited over 20 minutes for a table despite there being open tables. Apparently a party of 3 will not be seated at a table for 5 despite two of those 5 tables were available. All of the other tables had their food and would be leaving soon. We had already waiting 20 minutes. They had the entire back room available as well. Three waiters were goofing off behind the bar and could have easily handled the three of us. So long sausage fried rice. Me and my coworkers have come here and spent money over the years. They are now officially off the lunch rotation.

Someone told me about this place so word of mouth took me 4 times just to eat here place kept being closed and finally was a let down just okay.

Thaicoon was more like Ratcoon. Please don't eat there. Food was disgusting, chicken is not supposed to crumble when you eat it. Rice was the consistency of kindercare school paste. The Resturant overcharged us, lunch specials were doubled compared to the price on the menu. Bottom line, run from this store, run, run like someone is chasing you with an infected hypodermic needle, run.

The food is amazing, best fried rice of any Asian cousine hands down.

However they are very slow, especially at night time. People will often wait around quite a bit not only for their food but to get the check.

If you're not in a rush - this place is for you.
