What a pleasant surprise! I have lived in LIC for 8 years and had been going to other Thai spots in the area. This was recommended by a neighbor and it did not disappoint. The service was fast, the food was delicious and pretty affordable compared to other places. I wish they did something about the sign outside as the restaurant is very easy to miss which is why I had never been. This will be one of my go to spots for Thai from now on.
The service wasn’t the best and had to ask them multiple times for a water refill. The appetizers came pretty quickly and were decent (crispy calamari and chicken curry puffs). The bbq chicken took 25 min (which the server flagged when we ordered) but it was very underwhelming - the chicken was very dry, had no flavor and was burnt.
Very good place with off the beaten path dishes. Not sure I will go out of my way to dine here again simply due to the portion sizes, but if I’m in the neighborhood looking for a place to eat, I would definitely put it on my list. I ordered the beef Khao Soi and as you can see from the photo, it’s mostly broth.
Amazing food! The crispy duck is a must! This will be my go-to Thai spot in the LIC area.
This place has amazing food at reasonable prices. Everything ive had so far has been great, the crispy duck is delicious. They are still working out some things regarding service, and the music choices could be better, but the food is excellent. Better than most of the highly regarded thai places in manhattan, in my opinion.
Very dissatisfied with my order, but don't want to be overly negative about it - hope you can do better next time. The green curry was sour and bland, and the veggies and tofu were stale. Had to throw out a $30 delivery. I did enjoy the brown rice though.
i like the thai iced tea and ground pork over rice!! Most importantly, the service is pretty gooooood!

I’m really disappointed with how this restaurant treats couriers. While I understand that space can be limited, refusing to let delivery drivers wait inside during freezing winter weather is unacceptable. These are hardworking people providing a valuable service, and forcing them to stand outside in harsh conditions shows a complete lack of empathy and respect.
When I tried to talk to them about it, their response was super rude, as if they don’t even think couriers are people and instead treat them like slaves. If the restaurant can’t accommodate couriers inside, they should at least make an effort to provide a sheltered waiting area nearby. Until I see a change in how they treat those who are vital to their business, I won’t be ordering from here again.
Neat thai cuisine with interesting vibes
Very racist employees do not waste your money here they give small portions of food and very rude and disrespectful people that work here and always asking for a tip and saying rude things if you don’t give them it highly don’t recommend
Do Not Go Here If You Are Of Color The employees were very racist to me because I didn’t leave a tip they approached me every time I was getting ready to leave they would to ask for A tip and I asked them if it was mandatory and they said no , but in thier words other people leaves large tips with them they were very racist to me watching me eat and giving me mean looks and rushing me out to leave do not spend a dollar here the customer service is horrible and employees are rude to black people so disappointed in them because resturant has potential to be something
When Ros Niyom first opened, it was my favorite restaurant, I went there a lot and ordered from them all the time. I also took many of my friends and family there. But lately, the quality has really gone downhill. I first noticed it with my online orders and thought maybe it was just a problem with takeout. But a few weeks ago, I went in person, and the food I ordered was way too salty, and the dumplings weren’t even hot. On top of that, the staff doesn’t seem very attentive and seems to care more about new customers than returning ones. I won’t be going there or ordering from them anymore.
Tasty food and fair prices. Fits the category of “cute casual”. It’s clean with modern vibes and decor.
You have very bad employees. Be nice to people. Everyone is working. Everyone is tired. not just you
I am not sure why there are such high raves about this place. The food was so subpar. The pad thai was so mushy and lacking flavor. The fried tofu on top was lumpy and soggy. The green onion pancake was greasy and burnt. The fried dumplings are actually deep-fried and the batter was so heavy… it felt store bought. The chicken coconut soup was the only thing that was actually good. This place is so disappointing which is a bummer because the service is good and atmosphere fun. I would skip this one.
Great Thai food, thank you
Staff are not friendly with attitude may be to cover up for their poor communication in the English language…. Never going there again

This place is so good,
Get the Duck Tamarind, you won't be disappointed
Restaurant employees mistreating delivery people
The restaurant's people don't respect delivery people
Día extremadamente soleado y no quieren que esperes tu orden adentro del restaurante
Pésimo servicio
the food is good and the staff are kind 😌

Been going to the Thai restaurants in the area for their lunch specials while working in LIC this week. So far this was really great - a nice portion of red Thai curry with chicken that was spot on flavor wise and spice level wise. A small spring roll and salad was perfect as a lil lunch appetizer and very tasty. I also had a Thai iced tea and everything came to $19 so it was perfect. The flavor was so good I’ll definitely come back again. I would like to come back when I’m not working to try their cocktails as the cocktails they were advertising looked great. Very clean cute place overall with nice staff. Thank you!
Cute. Fast. Great service.
Follow the stars, they deserve them. A gem of a sit down restaurant without the hustle and bustle you would expect anywhere in NYC. Service was on point and so was the food which score a perfect 10 for both presentation and flavor. I came here with friends yesterday afternoon. The dumplings were fantastic, we had the pad thai which was phenomenal and the salmon was cooked perfect! When in LIC, please give this restaurant a try, you won't regret it.
Amazing food and amazing ambiance. I always have a great time
Don’t order delivery here. Not sure how much they provide in person but protein portion sizes are so ridiculous. Ordered moo grob and basically paid $20 for a container full of cheap white rice and a fried egg. Giving one extra star since delivery was fast.
The Kimao is so good! Would definitely come back for it
So welcoming and delightful. Food is super good, fresh and flavorful . Service is very attentive. Very recommended !!!
Foods okay, very generic tasting. Drinks are pretty weak. Came here to celebrate a birthday and they asked $35 for a small slice and candle
Pretty rude staff. Assumed Im a doordasher. Told me to wait outside in the cold and wouldnt give me my food unless I showed them the app.
Excellent vegetarian dishes.
My absolute favorite. Their noodles really got that wok hei that Im looking for and their portion sizes are very generous. Also their mango sticky rice is a must try. They only put it on the menu when the mangos are perfectly sweet!
I ordered take out for the first time and the duck tamarind was phenomenal! I’ll definitely be back to try their other dishes. I’ve found my new favorite Thai restaurant in the neighborhood.
BEST Thai food I’ve had in NY!
Great food, drinks were great but they did take a bit long to be made. A hidden gem. Service is great as well.
Really good vegan/veggie broth soup 👍
Authentic and delicious. I really enjoyed my coconut curry dish. Will come back again for sure.
I ordered from Uber. I was expressed by the food! Authentic Thai food, very good price. Love the soup and rice noodle. Highly recommended! !
Such tasty Thai food! Flavorful and spicy spring rolls and kee mao noodles, good meat (not cheap tasting) kind staff. Decent value for the price. Will definitely be back!!!!!
One of my new favorite spots in LIC! Delicious food and drinks all for an affordable price. We came without reservations and got seated right away though it got packed towards the ending of the night. The menu is huge and has almost anything you can think of. Looking forward to ordering from here again!
I’ve been here many times, alone, with friends, for lunch and dinner. I’ve also ordered for pickup and delivery. This place never disappoints. The food is delicious, the menu is large so there are plenty of options for everyone, and the service is always outstanding. The portions are generous - I always end up with a to-go container filled with leftovers. I’m so happy this opened up in LIC!
We’ve eaten here at least 4 times. It’s that good. Dine-in, takeout, delivery, all rounder perfect neighbourhood Thai restaurant ❤️
I hesitated to write a review, because although good, we always found the food a bit too salty for our taste.
So this time when we ordered, we asked to make it less salty, and it is just absolutely perfect!!! - Without compromising on the overall flavor as well!
+ Both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are gd 😉
Just a personal thought, hope their store sign stood out more (currently blends into the background color), so more people would notice it!
Consistently great food and one of my favorite places in LIC!
This is in my top 5 local restaurants in LIC at 2023. I’ve been coming back twice a month since their opening and here are my favorites: beef noodle is a must, kamio has become my staple order, and love the crab fried rice! Please put on your adventurous hat here and go for the rich Thai herbs and plates you have not tired. Your taste buds and tummy (always too much to eat) will appreciate it!
Great good - great service.
I ordered over the photo few dishes, one of them was papaya salad. When I came home I saw that the salad they put was a house salad, not a papaya salad. I called straight away and the lady started giving me a problem to exchange it. After I ask to speak with the manager and complaining she was like, ok you can come back and exchange, just because it’s your first time. Excuse me first time?? It’s your fault and you telling me we will exchange because it’s first time. And besides that she added and I have to pay difference(guys, 3$ isn’t a problem) but I have to make another trip, wasting my busy time(cause if I’d have time I’d cook home myself or go eat the restaurant). No surprise they are never busy, after this experience I’d never go there again.
Street Noodle is really good - chewy rice noodles with great wok-hey, slightly on the sweeter side tho. Crab Fried Rice is also pretty tasty. Portion sizes are pretty good and staff are super friendly.
We ate here for the first time tonight. Everything was delicious! It’s also decorated really well for Halloween right now, including a spooky music soundtrack!
The best Thai restaurant in NYC!
On Sept. 26 2023 at 8:30pm. I had the worst experience ever. I asked to use the restroom and I was told by a staff member that restrooms were only for customers. So I asked politely what is the difference between me ordering my food online or for me to dine in? The staff member member that refused to give her name said “like I said it’s for customers only.” So at that point I felt humiliated and a little discriminated which I’ve never ever felt living all my life in LIC. It was disturbing to my wife when I mentioned the issue I had when I got home. Definitely a negative place to go and eat.
The restaurant offers excellent food, friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. I recommend it for a visit.
Great happy hour. Very good food with great portion size.
Stopped in for a quick beer 25 minutes before close and they refused.
Small but nice thai restaurant. The pad thai was excellent.
Food is great and the SERVICE deserves 10 stars.
Nice place to eat Thai food 😋
Fast services, kind staffs and great food !
Overall, it's very good 👍
Great spot for Happy Hour and some appetizers. We came in for their HH we had the shrimp rolls, spring rolls, edamame, and lemon garlic wings which were all great. Service was quick and attentive and plenty of options for their Happy Hour drink specials. Good atmosphere inside with good music to set the vibe. Their main courses looked amazing and will have to try next time we come in. Would recommend swinging in next time you are bouncing around LIC.
Best Thai in LIC. Great service. Friendly atmosphere.
Amazing joint in LIC serving up authentic Thai food - get the duck curry and kanom jeen nam ngiew (northern style noodles with pork) and pad ki mao.
They are rude bad mannered
Service was good. Nice margaritas and delicious fresh food.
I took Kua Gai and It was soooooooooo amazing. Nice service and nice place. Really raccomanded 😌
Great food, really good quality.
Nice little restaurant.
Everything was amazing and the price was totally correct for the experience done.
I will return in this little restaurant with pleasure
The food was absolutely delicious!.
They disrespect to the customer. They judge by the people looking their face and they don’t have good manner and good behavior and they take oder with eating food and they didn’t wash their hand before serving the food to the customer
Everything was amazing, highly recommend!
I've come to Ros Niyom several times, and for good reason–I pretty much think they are the best in the neighborhood. I have to say, that I think their food is better eaten fresh out of the kitchen rather than take-out. Somehow, the pad thai and the noodles just don't travel as well but they are sooo delicious in person.
I highly recommend their Pad Thai (which comes with options in Tofu, Mock Duck and are vegan/vegetarian friendly), Kimao, and their 'Niyom's Attractions' section of their menu, there's a lot of unique dishes there that we are still trying that are super flavorful and unique amongst other thai restaurants.
Staff is always extremely friendly, and I've always been very satisfied. Their portions are decently sized, so I don't think you need to order appetizers unless you're with a group or a big eater.
This place is aesthetically appealing inside & out. Definitely cute date night spot or even good for a girls night.
Good options for Thai food and very reasonable prices.
I had Thai zap wing and Sai Grok E-san for app. The wing was so juicy and flavorful. If you like sour and spicy you must try it. Sai Grok E-san is a northern style thai sausage. It came with side vegetables and pickled. I love it. For my main I had pad Se-ew with beef and shrimp. I have no pictures cause i just dig in the second the serve me. I was so delicious not too sweet.
For drink I had Yuzu drop. It was perfectly balanced and smooth.
Would come back next time ^_^ to try more dishes.
Food and service completely authentic and excellent.
Phenomenal Thai food right in our neighborhood! Highly recommend getting the roti mussaman as an appetizer. And ask for the hot sauce and hot spice!
Great addition to the restaurants in the area. Food was amazing. We'll be back!
Very good service. Spice level was perfect.
Amazing experience! The servers were super attentive and pleasant. We ordered cocktails (which were SO nicely decorated but also delicious) Thai dumplings, chicken satay, chicken coconut soup, udon stir fry, and pork belly wok. Seriously, everything was delicious. Our faves were the coconut soup and dumplings. Of everything we ordered, we would pass on the chicken satay next time and try another appetizer.
The coconut custard pudding is immaculate!!!
The entrees we had were also very delicious :)
I got the khao soi beef which taste just as good as the picture they posted looks and my gf got the crab fried rice (staff recommended) which also slapped hella hard
I LOVE this place!! Best Thai food I’ve tried in lic!!! They have great lunch specials as well
Came during Valentine’s Day and staff were very attentive, professional.
Food was delicious, good amount of spice!
so glad we have another thai place in LIC! everything was so spot on flavor-wise, and it came out really fast, which is great considering we were starving. the spicy chicken wings were bomb. we also got the panaag curry and the pad kee mao. we will definitely be back! I want to try the khao soi, but we wanted to try our thai go-tos first. the menu is extensive, so be prepared to make some tough decisions.
Great service and food!! We had a big group so got to taste many dishes—everything was very solid. Tom yum soup was fragrant and delicious. Also very good were the kua gai, pad thai, pineapple fried rice, duck salad, and panang curry. Can’t wait to come back and try more off the menu!
Yo this place is amazing. If you love flavorful Thai, this is your spot.
My husband and I have eaten here a few times since it opened, and we have been very pleased with all of the food. Recently, we ordered the scallion pancakes and spring rolls for appetizers, and the street noodles (equivalent to pad see ew) and one of the deep friend whole fish (red snapper). The spring rolls were crunchy and the filling was flavorful; the street noodles were delicious; and the best of all was the fish - it was perfectly cooked, crunchy, and the toppings gave it an extra pop of flavor.
Servers were attentive and pleasant. We will be back.
Wow! What a great addition to the neighborhood.
Everything was awesome.
The decor, the ambiance, the cleanliness, the great staff, the cocktails and the food! 5 stars!
I will 100% be going back soon.
We ordered the curry puffs and spring rolls to start. Both were delicious. I love a curry puff, but sometimes they can be under/over cooked. These were perfect. Like legit perfect.
For mains we ordered chicken pad Thai and crab fried rice. They were both delicious. The pad Thai was a tiny bit sweet- we liked it! But wanted to note that Incase it isn't someone's preference.
Happy Hour Specials are available as well!
Please support this new local business. It is very well done & I heard that if everything continues to go well, they will open a lower level too!!
Pad Thai was the worst I've had in years
Wow… how delicious! The warm atmosphere and ambiance of Ros Niyom is a real treat. Best food on the block for sure… maybe even LIC! You’ll have to see for yourself… start with the scallion pancakes and see where that takes you 🫶
This new Thai restaurant is a good addition to LIC. Cozy intimate ambience with soothing music playing in the background. The place is small and clean, the servers are very nice and friendly.
Food are pretty decent. We had the Papaya Salad and Chicken Satay as appetizers. On main course we ordered Pad Thai and Massaman Curry with Shrimp, tasty and shrimp were so fresh. Although I always like the sweetness on both dishes but found that they made it a bit too sweet. We also tried the flavorful Red Snapper Whole Fish with Basil Sauce and Roasted Duck Curry was delicious.
We are happy with this joint and for sure will be back to have a nice and quiet dinner again.
Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and the space felt very cozy especially with the stark temperature difference nowadays between indoors and outdoors. The warm lighting as well as the combination of wood and metal fixtures works cohesively.
Ordered:
-Roti Massaman: roti bread with potato, onion, peanuts in massaman curry sauce garnished with fried onion. Medium spicy.
-Nam Tok Nuer (Beef Salad): Beef flank with dried chili, red onions, toasted rice powder, cilantro, scallion, mints and fish sauce lime dressing. Mild spicy. Gluten free.
The food was okay. Roti was freshly prepared, soft, and flaky. As for the massaman curry sauce, it was too tangy for my liking but the ingredients served with it were cooked perfectly. Also, I thought it was pretty mild in spice even though it is listed as medium spicy on the menu. I appreciated the thinly sliced beef flank for the salad item but it was well-done so it was chewy and made for quite the jaw workout. It would have benefitted with more toasted rice powder. If I were to order this dish in the future, I would ask for some fresh or extra dried chili on the side to spice things up a bit plus a side of sticky rice.
Overall, my dinner experience was not bad and I can see this business doing well in the neighborhood especially with their bar section. The space would be great for hosting small private events or celebrations too.
Have dined here three times since their recent opening, every dish has been a hit. Have tried curries , noodles and meat dishes all of them very fresh and delicious. Friendly service.
The tofu pad Thai can be made vegan and gluten free and is very flavorful and delicious. For those with less dietary restrictions, their menu is extensive and offers a variety of noodles, curries, wok dishes, and much more. Clean and peaceful ambience with great service.
Sooo good. Stumbled upon it while going for a stroll and had a fabulous dinner during their soft opening. Seafood salad wowwwww.
Very cute restaurant with great service. Food was excellent and very authentic. Highly recommend the street noodles and the Thai coconut custards!
Food was excellent! Will definitely be coming back. This may be my new favorite Thai place in LIC
