Thai food
Yummy! Delicious food and lovely service. The hostess/waitress was so nice! Even gave us her recommendations. The lychee juice was so good and refreshing. All of our items were delicious highly recommend to anyone looking for a yummy place to eat without breaking the budget!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Buffs. From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was bursting with flavor and freshness. Whether you’re a fan of Thai cuisine or prefer something more adventurous, their menu has something for everyone.
The service was impeccable throughout our visit.
I highly recommend The Buffs to anyone looking for a delicious Thai food and great service dining experience. We can’t wait to return!
We had dinner here recently. I picked this spot because it had the best reviews in the area and it absolutely lived up to the ratings! The restaurant is small but very welcoming and had a fun cute vibe. We ordered a bunch of apps and curry. Everything was hot fresh and really flavorful. Service was quick attentive and friendly. We loved all the food and it was well priced with big portions. Definitely recommended!
My wife by chance found this place, as we were staying close by. What a gem!! You need to ring to be let in, and when we entered, I was surprised how small it was. However, we had no problems getting a table, as we were pretty early (5pm), having spent the day wandering Manhattan. What a lovely little place, very atmospheric. Our server was so helpful and attentive. I ordered the mango curry and a Thai tea, the curry was amazing, so spicy. If we ever visit NYC again, we will be coming back.
This has made it to my top NYC Thai list. The food was amazing and service was great. They couldn’t have been nicer. Also, if you are looking for a whole in the wall spot this is definitely one. There may be seats for 15 people in the restaurant. The fun part is, you have to ring the door bell to get in. That might be for security purposes though. Solid 9/10. This will be a go to spot for me. Oh, and last, super inexpensive.

Great authentic Thai food. Unfortunately it's super small and has no bathroom.
Everything was so good! This plan is awesome. I had the Drunken Noodle, salad with Thai peanut sauce, and Thai Iced Tea. Owner was also very nice!
This so far is my favorite Thai spot in LIC! It’s a small but cozy atmosphere. I went for the 3rd time and it did not disappoint! Previously I’ve had take out here but today I dined in. The hostess was so sweet and attentive and the food was slap yourself delicious!!! We had the red curry lunch special with the spring roll, wings, and crab Rangoon along with Thai iced tea. The price was right and Everything was scrumptious!! Be sure to stop by here and try their food!!!
The food was great - flavors were sublime. The proprietor's service was very friendly. Lovely presentation. On a snowy night, we loved beef noodle and tom ka soups, ginger tea, coconut pudding, and the Khao soi soup
Yummy! Delicious food and lovely service. The hostess/waitress was so nice! Even gave us her recommendations. The lychee juice was so good and refreshing. All of our items were delicious highly recommend to anyone looking for a yummy place to eat without breaking the budget!
Magical food. After traveling from Australia, it was a delight to find a little gem like this.
Locals know this is *the* best Thai food in the neighborhood. For delivery especially, the food comes so fast it’s almost scary (did they know my order before I ordered it? How else could they get here so fast?). But the food is delicious and the portions are huge.
In person, Buffs is equally great. The vibes are fun and the service is super friendly and nice.
I go here all the time. Love the food and people working here
Delicious food, good price, and Katie the owner is so warm and welcoming!
Always reliable delivery - fresh, hot, and delicious every time! Tom Yum Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are top notch, best Thai in LIC. Received a nice happy holidays note with my last order - thanks Kate!
Always great food, prices, service and delivery. Thank you for the nice holiday gift bag
Nice
Best Pad Thai ever in Long Island City, Queens. There are too many options for customers, such as a vegan-friendly menu, gluten-free food, and so on.! Very good food and knowledgeable waitress. Will come back for sure
Hidden spot gem, a Thai restaurant with good food and service. It's kind of busy at the restaurant, but there was not a long wait time. Highly recommended
Do t even know it’s a restaurant or not. Stay away from, looks very shady
Very small but super good Thai place with original taste. Be a little carefully with the spice level. Order mild when you are sensitive. 😁
This place is fantastic. I don’t know a lot about Thai food ,but this was amazing. People were super friendly and actually had beef curry. If you’re in Queens drop in and they have a solid play list going !

Special gem here. Amazing food & staff. Very warm & filling each time I come here. I guess it's because the food is made with love. Thanks y'alls for always a great meal & caring service. Highly recommend!!!
Small, unassuming Thai diner with excellent flavors in every dish! Chicken Red Curry and chicken lettuce wraps and pad Thai could not have been prepared better or with more love and care!
An adorable restaurant. Not too flashy but makes up for it with food. One of the best massaman curries I’ve eaten. Excellent pad Thai too. Excellent mock duck.
Excellent
Tiny restaurant. Ring the bell to get in. Great service. Good Thai food. We tried green curry, calamari, and noodles with gravy, broccoli and mushrooms.
Great food, good prices and portions and sweet staff!!
A hidden gem, one of the best Thai spots in the country. The green curry with the eggplant is a true delicacy.

I highly recommend The Buffs to anyone looking for a delicious Thai food and great service dining experience. We can’t wait to return!
Super leckeres Curry und die Bedienung war sehr nett. Ein Geheimtipp
Food was incredibly delicious, every dish was executed so well, and our waitress was so lovely and sweet as well. Highly recommend!
Amazing authentic food. Chicken wings and mango Thai fried fish dish was so good !

This place is awesome. It was our first location in NYC after arriving during a major thunderstorm. We really liked the atmosphere and the outstanding service. If the time allows, we will come back during our stay here in New York. 🫶 Thank you so mich for having us.
The food and service are amazing! I eat here often and have enjoyed everything I've gotten so far! The prices are also very reasonable. The only downside is that the restaurant is very small, only about 6 tables, so if it's busy it can get crowded fast, but it's so delicious I don't mind! Just something to keep in mind if you're planning on bringing a group
NOTE: there's also no bathroom so make sure you plan ahead!
I am thrilled to have stumbled upon this hidden gem in Queens during our trip to NYC. Don't be put off by having to ring the doorbell to get in. As far as I understand, this is done for security reasons, but it adds to the quaint charm and intimacy of this tiny place. The decor is eclectic, the service is great, and the food is incredible (some of the best Thai my family and I have eaten). So sad I won't be able to come back here on a regular basis. They will just have to open a location in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada! 😄
It's very small, so seating is not guaranteed, but the food and service are great. Most people do take out.
This is the best Thai food I’ve had in the city, hands down. It’s our favorite place to order delivery from in the neighborhood. It has always been a go-to for the quality of the food, but I also recently had an excellent experience with an employee who was so helpful in advising about and accommodating my gluten free diet. She answered all my questions, was super knowledgeable, and was just so kind about it. She even called me back to make sure she knew when I was submitting my order online so that she could flag it to the chef and oversee the gf adjustment. I’m new to a gf diet, and I’m so thankful I can still order some dishes from here and feel confident about what I’m getting. Thank you to the nice employee who helped me!!
The food was incredible. The staff were very pleasant. It is a very popular place
for the police, which we spoke to while eating there and the hotel staff where we stayed. Can't go wrong!
Best Thai place in LIC!!! Cozy, chic, small but full of love. It was my first time in-person in this hidden gem. I've been ordering food since 2018 -deliveries to my hotel that was 3 blocks away from the Bluffs. Today I decided to eat in, such a great time, we enjoyed our duck wraps and curry puffs. Delicious, fresh, and affordable. I do recommend the whole menu- love this place.
Thank you for bringing a piece of Thai to our community.
Small place, but food is excellent and yummy. Service is fast. We tried soup, red curry, and drunken noodles. All three orders were 5 out of 5. Pricing is also recommended. Room has been nicely and tastefully decorated.
Muy hermoso lugar lo recomiendo para compartir en familia
Amazing authentic Thai. All of the dishes we tried were delicious. Roti, Thai iced tea, and pad z ew were my favorite.
One of the best Thai food in NYC for sure. Relatively affordable and amazing food. Definitely try the papaya salad with pickled fish.
A fantastic thai restaurant. We visited NYC from west coast, being warned about the skyrocketed living cost here. Went to The Buffs in the late evening (because most other restaurants were closed). The prices on their menu were so friendly! We ordered Mango rice fish sauce, and the portion is so big and taste is soooo good! The decoration in the store is fantastic, and the owner is very nice. We went their again the second night to try other dishes. I would say, most thei restaurants in the US have adjusted their flavor to please the US mouths. But for The buffs, all flavors are at their authentic places - spicy dishes are not sweet, sweet dishes are not salty, etc... Overall so good food at so good price. Please go there and try yourself!
Such an awesome hole in the wall place with authentic Thai dishes by a lovely couple! The drunken noodles are SOOOO GOOD! Sprinkle some of their Thai pepper powder on it, and it's truly delicious!
Delicious and authentic thai food with excellent service. Just perfect and not to expensive. Highly recommended from germany
Super Essen und sehr freundlicher Service. Wir waren an zwei Tagen nacheinander hier. Perfekt
We got take out from here, and their mild is actually very spicy so approach with caution! The lychee sticky rice is one of the best Thai desserts I have had in my life.
This is my first review. The first time I came to The Buffs, I was impressed by the service and delicious food during my holiday last month, and it was by mistake. Last week, the company had a board of directors meeting. Therefore, I suggested this restaurant for catering, and my boss approved the budget. I wanted a set menu, but the restaurant only offered large trays. Hence, I sent an email to inquire and received an impressive response, as shown in the picture. I wanted to share this. Impressive service and delicious taste are guaranteed, and they can also accommodate vegetarians.
I came from Thailand to visit New York and found myself missing Thai food after not having eaten it for many days. That changed when I came across The Buffs restaurant, where I discovered that both the taste and service are excellent. Understanding the high demand, I couldn't help but lend a hand. Despite the large number of customers, the wait isn't very long, which is appreciable. Should I visit again, I will definitely make it a point to stop by this restaurant.
Store employees treat customers extremely badly
They don't respect the customer
The woman in the shop is very naughty.
Which is very sad
Super tasty, authentic food. Small, typical New York restaurant. I have not eaten such a good mango curry for a long time!
We spent 5 days in New York and we found this Restaurant. Authentic Thai Food, nice Location, the owner is very friendly. Absolute recommendation.
It was a great pleasure for us to have been with you!Excellent!
Ordered green curry, papaya salad, drunken noodles. Authentic and delicious Thai food! Surprisingly tasty. Highly recommended.
The meals is a big WOW I love this place
The food is very good but the portion was very small for $15. I got the dinner portion but it was more like a kids dinner portion. The lady working there was nice to her credit. Overall there are definitely better Thai places in the city.
Best thai food I’ve tasted in NYC. I haven’t been able to find anything else quite like it.
First off I’m going to start with the food. I got the chili mango, vegetable spring rolls, and a mango Thai iced tea.
The spring rolls were super crispy and fresh. I think they just rolled them on the spot instead of buying precooked.
The chili mango (I got medium spicy) was outstanding. Perfect combination of sweet spicy and savory. Slight Smokey flavor to it. Amazing juicy, perfectly cut chicken which made it easy to eat. They served it on a plate that was very artsy giving that homey type of vibe.
The Mango Thai tea had just the right amount of sweetness and it had this sweet type boba in it (correct me if I’m wrong)
The atmosphere was a little sketchy at first because you have to ring the doorbell to get in (never rang a doorbell to come in a restaurant before) but once you get in there, it’s a warm cozy homey type of vibe. Nice decor and excellent customer service. Everybody was friendly and attentive! The name of restaurant isn’t your average Thai restaurant (which also threw me off) nonetheless, excellent vibe.
I checked the reviews online before I came in and I came to the conclusion that I’m DEFINITELY coming back here again. Definitely worth the hype and stars.
outstanding! you won’t find better drunken noodles on the streets of Bangkok! the place and proprietor or a little quirky but in a way that makes me think I’d find it endearing in both if I lived closer and could eat here often (and I would eat here very often!).. the thai iced tea is equally impressive.
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Everything was thoughtfully presented, full of flavor, and the service was great. 100% worth going a little out of the way for - an excellent meal.
So make sure you wait to have someone let you in. Walking in you are greeted with tightly arranged seating and decor which seems extremely cluttering the already tight space. The host and waitress (same young lady) was very pleasant and nice but the food was not a true Thailand experience. I’ve had Thai food like from Thai and although the menu options were fabulous the flavors were not. I’ve never had pad Thai taste just like hoisin sauce, with some soy sauce and spice but not no peanut taste other than the crushed ones on top. The Pad Thai sauce tasted just like the peanut sauce for soft rolls. The crab ragoons were tasty but extremely small. The tofu in my stir fry was cold like they cook and prepare some items before, store it and then just as to platters. I ordered the tofu garlic sauce stir fry and it was super small portion and cold. The sauce was very tasty. This place was not cheap and portions so small I went to eat afterwards.
I work in the area from time to time and frequent this restaurant every chance I get for lunch. In my opinion it’s the best Thai food in the city and possibly that I’ve ever had!
Recently stopped here after a coffee tasting. It's a small spot, but the food is good. We got the curry puffs. They were cooked perfectly. I got the beef basil as my dish and my brother got the ginger. He cleaned his plate. Also recommend the thai ice coffee. The only issue is that it was a little cold in the place, but I'm definitely coming back if I'm in the area.
klein aber top 👍
The food and service here is fantastic. Last tuesday i ordered tom yum noodle soup with chicken. The soup is spicy and very tasty.
The Buffs is the most impressive meal I took in the 10 days of visits in the States. Delicious noodles, good service, and high-quality chef politeness. I will come back to this area because of 'you'.
Great authentic thai food. Didnt have high expectations for asian food in this area, but this one exceeds. Great service too. We came from hong kong, would come if we ever vist nyc again.
Diamond in the rough
Nothing short of amazing Thai food. Wow.
Great food but no bathroom. They also wouldn't refused to swap out white rice for brown despite having it for some reason.
Great food, really cozy vibe, and the head chef women was so kind!
This is by far the best Thai restaurant in NYC. Every dish I've tried is truly delicious and authentic. Particularly, their noodle dishes (like Pad Thai and drunken noodles) are cooked with fresh noodles and heated with high temperature woks in order to create a fantastic crispy texture and browning. (In contrast to other Thai restaurants where you usually get steamed noodles with no texture and bland tastes.) Their curries (like green curry, khao soi, massaman curry) have just the right balance of different flavors with fresh ingredients. You can also get roasted ducks with any of your dishes (and they are on point!). Would definitely continue to come back here!
Loved this hole in the wall. Got the duck red curry and it was fantastic. Nailed the flavors and spice. The waitress was so nice! Some out of towners might find the area sketch but it's typical NY.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon.
Small little place but food was so amazing and flavorful
It seems like a family owned small little thai restaurant.
The woman serving us was really nice and friendly.
The pad this noodles were my favorite, will definitely come back.
You need to ring the bell in order to get in
Little gem in the Long Island, definitely a must try.
Great food very nice people definitely worth going hear for dinner
Great place: welcoming and cost, with really tasty food. For drinks, the honey ginger is to die for.
Edit:9/30/23 I cannot post the pictures for some reason but whoever replied to my review please provide an email I will gladly give you my uber eats receipts.. I am a well known reviewer and I have no reason to lie. Even my coworkers were surprised to see how little my food was compared to the pricing. I've been eating here for years and I know you have lunch specials. The people ordering at fullcpeive through uber shouldn't have to settle for a half full plate for full price. I support all restaurants but to charge someone for a large portion and you don't fill up the soup all thw way and barely put chicken or vegetables isn't honest.. sorry but not sorry! Please provide an email I will gladly send pictures!
I had to update my review because I'm really getting tired of paying full price for items on ubereats and they don't fill up my soup or plate... if I'm paying full price for a large soup why aren't you filling it up? I ordered chicken vegetable soup yesterday and had a very small amount of veggies and a bit of chicken and the large container is filled up half way.. why am I paying $3 extra for this??? I ordered pad see ew 2 weeks ago and literally it was like 2 pieces of noodles diced up with some chicken. Literally broad day robbery.. so sad because I loved this place for years.. I'll have to look elsewhere now.
Just ate here and everything was delicious and the people were so kind! Best Thai spot in queens!
I'm a huge foodie whose been living in NYC for over 12 years. I can safely say that this is the best Thai food in New York, full stop. The staff are also incredibly friendly. If you're thinking about trying The Buffs, don't hesitate and go for it!
Noodles delivered burnt :(
As good as in Thailand
Great food and Service. Chay was a great server and host!!! Wpuld recommended
The food here is awesome. Best Thai food i had here in NYC. The 2 ladies who attend me and my girlfriend were amazing and friendly. I'll come back as many times possible. Flavors so on top and fresh products. Must try!
I was sooo looking forward to come back to this place! Food is made at the moment, everything was on point and they are so very friendly! The place is small with simple/authentic decoration, please dont go by the appearance because it is not fancy but trust me, you will
Not be disappointed! Their fried rice with Duck is by far my favorite combination. And their Tomka soup! Cant wait to be back!
Underrated hole in the wall restaurant with amazing vibes and even better food
Always a must go to when in the area
I enjoyed the service and food everyone was so polite and friendly and the food was tasty. The decorations were also cute.
Good food and cute location! Support locals❤️🥰
The food is so tasty and amazing value for money. The appetizer portions were really big. I want to shoutout the decor. Everything from the ceiling to the walls, the chairs, and the plates are curated and bring a cozy and cute vibe to the restaurant. The service is kind and attentive.
The best Thai food in queens... the proof is in the taste...
Fantastic hole in the wall Thai spot! Great value and high quality options. Menu is marked with gluten free and vegan options. Extremely knowledgeable and accommodating of allergies.
Very good..... 👍
excellent services and delicious food
I have never disappointed with both of food and services here. Super authentic Thai food and cozy dining area with a good atmosphere inside. The Buffs has no bathroom but you can use the bathroom nearby.
Ordered take out for lunch: vegetable dumplings, chive pancakes, and the summer tofu roll. I’m vegan and appreciate the clearly labeled items on the menu. Service was on time and very nice. Items packed well with no leakage. I took out 1 star because all the sauces were way too sweet for my tastes. Other than that, the flavors and food were fresh and tasty!
Probably the best Pad Thai I've ever had. Plenty of other delicious items on the menu as well incl appetizers. It's very hard to go wrong with this place. We have only ordered delivery from there, haven't tried in person yet.
really cute restaurant, cozy and relaxing, not busy at all
welcoming, cheerful staff
got our food quickly, was tasty and stayed warm
many menu options
Just nice
We got the surprise for two and it was awesome. All the apps are amazing including the curry puffs and roti. Can’t wait to go back for all the desserts.
Delicious! Got the roti dip curry for appetizer, lots of bread and plenty of curry leftover to bring home. Also got the surprise set (it was curry puff, Massaman curry, and sweet and sour stir fry chicken today) - also a good portion and delicious!
As other reviews have mentioned, the Tom Yum Soup was a little strong, but we just diluted it with some water and it was fine.
Service was great, thank you for the great experience tonight!
Small little hidden restaurant with friendly service. In my opinion, portions are smaller than expected and they don’t have restrooms (not even for guests).
Pros: Very cozy and sweet spot! Thai fried rice was a little bit oily than my usual Thai craving but still good food! SUPER friendly staffs and fast service. Great price. Very pretty vibe. Great photos! 😄😄 Overall, great experience. If you are around the area- definately recommend.
Cons: No bathroom. Space is tiny so not suitable for big parties... but perfect for 2 or 4. In my opinion.
I instantly added this place to my Favorites list. Very cute decorations in a cozy little restaurant. Get the “surprise me” option with a friend, you get a huge amount of delicious food for just $15/person! Sweet staff and amazing meals, definitely going back!
Their own website says they open at 11 am but when I showed up at 12 they said they open at 12:30. It was unfortunate because we wasted quite some time to get here.
Great food and service. Walked in from the cold and it was just fun. Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. Jenn was great.
This place is a real hidden gem. The food is great, prices are very good. Strongly recommended 👍
Amazing comfort food. Great spot for real foodies. Like eating at home. An obligated spot.
My favorite thai spot! Food was really good and staff was friendly.
Lugar pequeño pero en el que te sientes bienvenido y te atienden muy bien. Los platos que pedimos, muy bien hechos. Nuestra favorita, la Tom Kah de camarones y fideos, excelente. Buenos precios, buen servicio y deliciosa comida.
This place makes one of the best Pad Thai ever!! Would recommend it :)
En skjult perle i New York! Anbefales. Nevnte jeg den supre spillelista?
$39 for three people. We ordered take out with three entrees. It was very tasty! The person was so smiley and nice~ it was a great vibe 🧡 would go again
Tiny place that you almost miss when walking past, but lovely service and very delicious, authentic food.
Love this placee
Delicious Thai food! They were kind and were able to sell us take out past their opening hours and the food was so good we came back today. Tom Yom Soup was so flavourful and warming. Pad Thai was on the sweeter side but also tasted well although the noodles did congeal a bit. The Ka Pao Kai Tray was a good rice dish for two. The 4 (!) fried eggs were perfectly fried and the rice was very fragrant. Finally the prices were good value. Highly recommended and would come here any time I’m in NYC.
Ordered pineapple fried rice, pretty good
Quality food and the best fried ice cream I have ever tried.
Bonus points for the cute menu too
I order online from here all of the time. They have a phenomenal pad Thai that’s almost sweet. Five stars!
Great pad Thai. Fast friendly service.
Really lovely spot in LIC. Charming interior, above and beyond friendly service and delicious food. We loved the summer rolls, basil fried rice and Penang curry.
It’s been awhile since I’ve had good Thai food, and The Buffs exceeded what I needed! We got edamame, fried veggie dumplings, yellow curry with tofu, sweet iced pink milk, and Kow Soi. Holy smokes everything was incredibly delicious that we ended up having dessert to go because my tummy was so full and so happy.
The folks running this place are beyond kind. I hope everyone has a chance to come here and enjoy everything just like we did tonight!
The Buffs In LIC, transports your tastebuds right to Thailand. Super authentic cuisine with all fresh ingredients. Taste like a home cooked meal from your Aunty! Small location but, you feel like you’re eating with family! Chef Chayanan & Pao even come out, greets you and ensures you are enjoying your meal. Amazing Pad Thai. Fried rice is super good too! You won’t be disappointed!
