Outpost of a small vegan chain serving reinterpreted Thai classics, along with wraps & burgers.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience dining here! The place was empty when we got there. The waitress was super friendly and the food was delicious! The best Golden Tofu was the best I’ve ever had! Not surprised that halfway through our meal the restaurant started to fill up
I am always down with dining in a Route 66 business, especially one that is not a corporate chain. It’s not that I despise them. It’s just that the smaller businesses need our support, too, and often have far better food anyway.
And that’s exactly what I think about Thai Heritage and Vegan, a place I have now dined at three times. Located on Central SE in the Nob Hill area (and thus right on the Mother Road), it has a ring side seat to the mix of locals and heritage tourists making their way down this road.
This time I had the Green Curry Pad Thai, and it did not disappoint. Service was fast, the presentation top shelf, and the flavor spot on. My Pad Thai packed just enough heat to make it memorable, but not so much that I left crying. I especially liked how I was brought several Thai and southeast Asian chile sauces so that I could flavor my meal as I deemed fit.
The decor of this restaurant is very elaborate. The bar indicates that this is not a run-of-the-mill Thai establishment, but one of the finer. I marveled at the statuary and art, all conveying an atmosphere that was far from Albuquerque.
Yes, I will be back again. This is a great place, and if you fancy a vegan twist on Thai favorites, you cannot go wrong here.
The restaurant is big and has a quirky vibe. Service was ok.
Food was delicious. We had a veggie curry and a veggie stir fry, both with fried tofu. We are vegan and we're glad to see several dishes clearly marked on the menu.
We ordered for dessert fried bananas wrapped in Philo dough.
Bathrooms very clean.
This place was solid. We ordered the chicken pad Thai and we were not disappointed. Keep in mind it’s vegan but even then my husband really loved it. I look forward to going back and trying more of their options. Service was remarkable as well. Decor was interesting. We will be back.
Passed by here on a road trip. So awesome to find some really good fresh vegan food on the road. It was really good. I even took pictures. Everything we got was Fire ❤️🔥The curry’s were so good! The Tom kha soup was excellent. My non vegan road mates got the ginger steak and curry dumplings and loved it too. Will remember this place for the future!
The curry is absolutely incredible! We thought there were no more decent Thai restaurants in Albuquerque after our favorite one closed, let alone one that is this AMAZING. Absolutely authentic and delicious. Check this place out for the best Thai in Albuquerque!
Horrible food. the public health dep should go check them out
Excellent vegan food and amazing service!
THE best Pad thai in TOWN!
Food was not fresh.
The curry is absolutely incredible! We thought there were no more decent Thai restaurants in Albuquerque after our favorite one closed, let alone one that is this AMAZING. Absolutely authentic and delicious. Check this place out for the best Thai in Albuquerque!
Disappointing and overrated. Too little food for the price, too little taste, not very authentic. I went home hungry. The spicy noodles were not at all spicy. True Thai food is among the hotted cuisines in the world. I also didn't appreciate having to listen to a Christian radio station while I ate. I don't want to be proselytized when I'm paying for dinner.
The best food in town.
Sign states they open at 11 they didn't open till 1130 was waiting for a door dash order. Had to deal with an upset customer for their problems like it's my fault. Idk if I'd order them at alll
Great place to dine in and food is amazing! We will definitely be going back!
Amazing food!!! Great staff. Amazing curry and tofu!
The first thing I noticed as I arrived was the friendliness. The ladies assisting us were so kind and attentive. The attention to detail and the food is out of this world. The food fed my soul! Thank you for the contribution to the community. It’s places like these that restore my hope in humanity 🫶✨🙏✨🦋
The food was excellent. I’m not vegan but was very impressed. The desserts were SO good and the service was awesome. I will be going back.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience dining here! The place was empty when we got there. The waitress was super friendly and the food was delicious! The best Golden Tofu was the best I’ve ever had! Not surprised that halfway through our meal the restaurant started to fill up
A little run down, but great food!
The new server is an improvement. She's from Costa Rica and provided great service. The salmon special was great. This place is not overpriced, which is appreciated. They also do a good job with tofu, according to my wife.
This is one of my favorite places ever! Absolutely delicious food! I recommend the drinks too.
It's obvious that they put a lot of care into what they do. Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly people.
Amazing food!!! Amazing service!!! Thank you!!!
This place is absolutely incredible. It is hard sometimes to find good fake meats, but if you have the red curry with the pepper steak, your mind will be blown! It is beautifully spicy and I am dreaming about it right now because I am in Florida!
Our waitress was new so she kept having to go back and forth to ask questions about our order then still messed it up lol
She then brought out a smoothie instead of a juice and then brought me out a drink after I specified I was vegan that contained dairy chocolate. I assumed it was vegan being that it is a vegan restaurant and had absolutely no mention of the drinks not being vegan!
The tom ka soup tastes like wet dog and wasn't very delicious at all
The dumplings were bland
The waitress then left and we got someone else who wasn't much help
They offered to remove the drink from my bill for me and then didn't lol I had to go to the register and ask them about it.. which the tall dark haired guy behind the counter was super rude about as if the restaurant didn't severely mess up.. he should really check himself before talking to people like that bc you don't know who might not be so calm about the situation. Raising your voice and yelling "it'll get taken care of" was pretty crazy. Giving someone milk chocolate in a vegan restaurant was also pretty crazy. Hope he gets the customer service training and the future he deserves which hopefully is being fired.
The bathroom was dirty and the soap dispenser was empty
This place just wasn't it for me. Everyone in there just sucked.
Decent thai food. All vegan. Amazing miso. Sadly only 4 pieces of tofu in my curry
My and wife and I were here just the other day. The food was good. Infact pretty great but unfortunately a tall unprofessional male left a bad taste in my mouth. One of ur employees a tall male with long dark hair was super rude and snarky. My wife and I were completely amazed by this young man's actions and behavior. He messed up multiple times and made no effort to actually help us. My wife left super offended and me very disappointed. I would like to mention this man was also extremely slow and seemed a bit dull and lazy. It's a shame. This place has potential with the food they just need to hire better service staff.
I came last week to this place with my family to sit down and dine. We noticed this place offered vegan food so we decided to check it out. The food overall was all right but the staff was awful. We got a lot of attitude from everyone and seemed extremely unprofessional. Our server Gabrielle was the exception. She was super nice and did a good job trying to make us feel comfortable and getting us what we needed as soon as POSSIBLE. Unfortunately everyone else was unpleasant.
5pm is the best time to eat. Quick, quiet dinner after work. I'm not vegan but it is worth trying.
Not clearly labeled. WHY IS “THAI VEGAN” SERVING REAL SALMON? Ridiculous
None of our food was very good and we were over charged. We had been one time before and it was good so we were disappointed about the experience this time. There was also essentially no wait service and we were not given plates or bowls for the food and soup we shared. All of our food came out at different times and everything tasted “off”. The atmosphere was also just creepily quiet because there was no music. Overall we won’t be returning.
This place is absolutely incredible! Satay soy chicken skewers 😋 red curry with pepper steak😋 orange chicken 😋😋😋 all with no meat! They also have drinks such as boba and Thai tea and wonderful service from the staff as well. A must!
Update: Thank you for addressing this! I came in and had the exact same meal and it was perfect (as is usual). Thank you for making this right!
It was terrible tonight. I called in an order for the pad thai dinner, choc chip banana and thai iced tea. My bananas were made early. I said twice that they'd be cold by the time I got my food and got home. Nothing was done or offered. My dinner was supposed to have an eggroll, no eggroll was provided. The tofu was burnt. No dressing for the salad. Very negative experience tonight. I know it was busy, but this is inexcusable. 😕
Reminded me of being in Thailand for tom yum. Had the curry lunch combo and a thai tea and it took me back in flavor. The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive and polite. Might be the best Thai place in ABQ!
I am always down with dining in a Route 66 business, especially one that is not a corporate chain. It’s not that I despise them. It’s just that the smaller businesses need our support, too, and often have far better food anyway.

Best vegan restaurant

5 years later and it's still putting out amazing food.
We ordered food everything was quick and fast but, the waitress isn't doing her job. she mess up my friend order try to ask her co worker if this is right!! You the one who did order by yourself no other co worker is around you is soy chicken not soy shrimp!! Always own up your mistakes!!
The restaurant is big and has a quirky vibe. Service was ok.

We ordered for dessert fried bananas wrapped in Philo dough.
Bathrooms very clean.
I really like this place. I have eaten here twice now. Service is good and prompt. Food is excellent. Quality of food seems really high too. I recommend this place.
A go to place when in Albuquerque.
A beautiful place and kind staff who care about my experience and enjoyment of the food. I only wish is more plates with no sugar ☺️ option.
What is this? Pad se ew was not that at all, and I ordered fried chicken and NOT the vegan, I got fried battered carrots... change your name there's nothing heritage about this place. 2 thumbs down!
The best vegan restaurant in New Mexico hands down.
Nice lady who helped us (lunch 12-2pm on Saturday Oct 21,2023)- my apologies I forgot her name but definitely a GREAT place and will go back!
Service was horrible. The lady seemed very rushed, which would be understandable if they were busy. But she was also very short and very rude.
Best Thai vegan food ever😁 i miss you Tan🙏😌🙏
My pictures do not do this food justice. The won ton soup is SO flavorful. I got the vegan version. The potstickers were in a separate container in case you don’t like them soggy. The broth was amazing, and full of veggies.
The edamame was also very good with the perfect amount of saltiness.
The restaurant smelled so good when I went in to pick up my food!
Awful. Absolutely worst thai food I've ever had in abq. And remarkably small portions to boot. Avoid.
We ordered: papaya salad - literally maybe 3 forkfuls / way too much fish sauce; salmon curry - absolutely awful overcooked salmon; fried rice beef - literally one piece of beef in the entire very small container of food.
Awesome place to get your Thai fix.
Amazing food and out of the world music by Sinister Veil. They have Vegan options for everything but their soy orange chicken and spicy noodles were really good. must go!!!
Not just vegan food anymore.
My mother and I had the pleasure of having Mo, one of the managers as our waitress for the evening and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable staff, and super friendly. I would recommend this place to other Celiacs out there, they have great GF options.
A good amount of gluten free pad thai for the price. 2 meals in one!
They seem to understand vegan and gluten free very well. I state that as the first thing because while there are many other local options in that, most of the time it feels they offer but don't understand (I'm definitely looking at you Thai vegan) . As a vegan with Celiac's it's important to me to not get tainted food which happens when the staff doesn't really understand. The food also tastes amazing and they make their own sauces gluten free so I can have pretty much anything I want. The whole family has really enjoyed this place .
Very delicious and cheap. Go here for cheap vegan food on the go. The dumplings were my favorite. The hot and sour was very good as well.
Interesting Thai place on Nob Hill. The dishes are all generally vegan with some having the option to add meat if you really want to.
We thought the food was generally good. The papaya salad was crisp and felt fresh, and the see-ew was well balanced in my opinion. The pad Thai did feel a bit sweeter (and doesn't have eggs due to the vegan part for those who care). As far as portion size, I was pretty hungry and left pretty full, but it is a bit on the smaller side.
A bit of a downside is the decor felt, for a lack of better word, downtrodden. Perhaps it is because we went when there were few people, but without ambient music and half the lights turned off, it felt a bit like an abandoned hotel.
Loved the food and great service. I will most definitely go back.
One of my favorite places to eat in ABQ!
The restaurant is spacious and perfect to go out with a big party. I really enjoyed the rice they served with curry dishes. Usually, in Thai restaurants, they'd serve white rice, but at this establishment, they served us wild rice (if I am not mistaken). The portion sizes of the dishes we ordered were pretty large to feed two. We loved it. Although all their dishes are good, don't forget to order their chicken satay. I'd say it's a must.
This business is a shell of its former self. They have removed their signature vegan dishes from their menu, and now serve typical American Thai food priced at a premium. Don't bother, just go to the original Thai Vegan on Osuna
Delicious Thai curry and vegan protein options! Great space too
Looking for Thai but need animal free food? Or maybe you're allergic to eggs and need to make sure the food has none, check it out here. I love the pad thai and pineapple fried rice
Great selection. Fast, friendly service.
Be wary of ordering food here if you’re a vegan. Ordered what we thought was “lightly fried soy chicken” for delivery and they sent us real chicken with the rest of our obviously vegan order.
Birthday dinner was amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly. I will be back there with my friends on a regular basis. Absolutely.
Great food consistently. Friendly service
Great food, service and prices.
Amazing! My food was so so good. I loved the atmosphere and the staff. The prices were less than I would expect for such high quality food! Definitely my favorite Thai place in town.
I get this place all the time, their curry and mushroom steak is to die for.
Some of the best vegan food in town
What a disappointment! Lunch on a Saturday the seaweed soup was very underwhelming and the Stir Fried Chili Basil was just so so. But, the worst part was the service from Hispanic women who brought the food and never came back in fact I had to get up and to the the cash register in order to get her attention. While standing there waiting for her I could see the cook smoking her Vape pen right in the kitchen above food.
We will never be back for sure and I advise anyone to look into several other Thai restaurants. Here is a list.
Thai House on Carlisle.
Thai Tip on Wyoming.
Let's Eat Thai on Sam Mateo.
Bangkok Bite.
Thai Kitchen in Corrales.
All of these places server excellent Thai food and make service and kitchen safety a priority.
The food was good but my mother didn't get what she ordered and we had to ask more than once for a refill which is important for my diet I drink more water with each meal. We still tipped the waiter average but it wasn't worth recommending.
OMG! Had to go to Abq twice in a month so i brought home carryout from here both times. The three items i got, i cant begin to tell you how delicious all of them are. Pineapple fried rice...WOW! The red and green curry i could drink. I had both with the chicken.
I used to eat at this restaurant once a week. Always had a good experience and the food is great.
Not the best pre-race dinner but delicious none the same.
Ordered for pickup and the order was filled quicker than the time listed, which is a plus. We ordered brown rice and were given white rice. The lunch combo says it came with a spring roll and I was expecting a fresh roll, not fried, but that’s more on me than the restaurant. The dishes were good tasting, but they were excessively oily. The steamed dumplings were the best thing we ordered.
We got 4 different meals however, 3 of them were exactly the same except for the fact that they added whole cashews to one of them. All of the sauces were open. I asked for peanut sauce and they didn't send it. I asked for cutlery and they didn't send it. FYI..The phone number doesn't work either!
good service excellent Thai offerings
Why does this place have such low reviews??? Lowkey my favorite restaurant in town. Super affordable for the quality and taste of the food, has the energy of bein fancy without killing your wallet. never had something i didnt like. really good for a second or third date.
This place is delicious! The flavors are fresh and true to the Thai profile. I have never been so excited about vegan/vegetarian food. I ordered delivery twice this week.
I loved this place! They were slammed with call in orders but they still did everything to get food to us quickly. Our server, Kenya, was the sweetest ever! My See-Ew was so bomb I ordered a second helping. I'd definitely return here when back in Albuquerque. Even the owner was super sweet and came out to say hi. Check it out Vegan or not!
I had a continuous explosion of flavors in my mouth. Their food is a killer. Nice people, too. (Tons of Vegan options).
Quality vegan food here! Best soy orange chicken ever! Pricey but worth it.
Yea boi
Best orange (soy) chicken I’ve had. It was perfectly crispy and the sauce was tangy but not too sweet. My only complaint was the portion size. I wish I would’ve gotten a little bit more for the $15 I paid but I’ll take quality over quantity. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious vegan food!
I ordered the dumplings over UberEATS and they arrived very nice in a little salad it was delicious and exact what I wanted
Pretty venue and good food
Don’t order online! We ordered four dishes and paid for all four, but the restaurant only gave us three and said the discrepancy was on the website, not on them, and they refused to provide the fourth dish we had paid for. On the positive side, the restaurant has gone badly downhill so it’s not much of a loss to drop it from the Thai restaurant rotation. Lots of other, better places nearby.
Always good food! Ample portions, friendly service.
Always delicious, I go at least once a week. Angelica is our favorite waitress. Easiest vegan options in town.
I once had a vegan lunch set and it was very yummy. Tonight, though, I ordered the vegan red curry for dinner and the curry had very few vegetables in it,. It was mostly bamboo shoots and onion- yuck. Disappointing. Additionally, the rice portion was tiny and sad. I also ordered the vegan pad thai which would be improved upon with vegetables added. It was quite boring with over-fried tofu that was difficult to chew and was the texture of jerky. Please up your game and improve your dish because you can make good food. Thanks.
Update: So I ordered from their website for delivery, about 40 minutes later i get a text from the door dash delivery person saying they have closed their kitchen and are not accepting door dash right now.
No communication from the website, they just changed my order (which is still pending) from delivery to pickup.
At over an hour later the order is marked as (Order Created)
I will disputing this charge and will not order from them again.
Menufy did refund
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did a Grubhub order so I can't say how nice the restaurant is. But the food was delicious. I ordered some veggie fried rice with soy chicken and some orange chicken. Both items were scrumptious. I will totally be ordering from them again.
I'm SO ANGRY! I ordered from these guys on THEIR website to pick up, and got a confirmation with pick up time . I drove over there and they weren't open!! No sign, just closed. I called their number and got some girl's FULL voice-mail box. I'm out $50 and no food. Don't risk your money on ordering online from them.
Delicious food and a delightful server
2 stars because they are soooooooo sloooooow! Food okay.
Lots of people love this place and it's a nice atmosphere. Food is delicious and most satisfying. The service needs improvement but overall worth the Stop
Great restaurant! I ALWAYS make an effort to get to this restaurant when I can!
Always great.
I love this restaurant. The vibe is relaxed and a good location in the heart of Albuquerque. The staff is always friendly and the food is unique, surprising and delicious. Wait time was 8 minutes.
I highly recommend the Pad Thai.
(Really filling and delicious and I paid $13.00 for everything!)
The veggie roll appetizers are addictive.
Chicken skewers are also a must.
They offer meat options but the faux meat is really good.
The waitress told me everything was vegan unless I was to specify I wanted real meat. This makes me extremely happy to have such amazing food that I'm able to enjoy and won't be scared that I could be getting sick in an hour. Everything I've tried so far is so tasty. I have five things picked out for the next few visits. Thank you for serving such fresh and delicious vegan options!!!! My heart and stomach are happy
Food is amazing
Good food for sure try it out
Food and service were excellent
It smelled good 🤷🏽
was told 20 mins on my order showed up 20 mins later and it’s been an additional 30 and i’m still sitting here waiting
It's a great , cozy place - love the vibe. It has an all vegan menu , but there's no compromise on tastes. I went here a few times and it can get a little busy on weekends, so the service wasn't the greatest.
Tasty vegan options! Get the soy chicken. You won't regret it
Prompt and good food. Pretty affordable and the service is excellent. Servers are nice. Only doing take out / carry out. Please tip well during the pandemic. All food came hot and we enjoyed the green curry with soy chicken, orange chicken with broccoli added and pad thai. Even omnivores will like this spot.
Best pad Thai I’ve had in town so far, good portion. The workers are always friendly, whether I’m picking up deliveries or my own food. I recommend trying the butterfly pea tea. Update it’s been six months since I first tried the pad Thai here, I’ve been to many other restaurants and this one has the best recipe. Get the spice at a 4, the flavors are well balanced between spicy salty sweet and a little sour. Reasonable price as well, Thai cuisine 2 down the street charges $17 for shrimp and chicken pad thai, here it was $13 and some change.
I love coming here. The food is great the staff always smiling. A fun atsmophere
This used to be our go-to restaurant for vegan food, but after tonight's meal, I don't think we'll ever spend the money to eat there again. Very, very disappointed. I got the basil leaves combo and tasted absolutely no basil in it whatsoever., with two unidentifiable sauces on the side. About a whopping TBS of each. I asked for extra vegetables. Apparently they put the extra veggies in the side salad in the form of lettuce. And we ordered 4 Fresh rolls. The appetizer say sit comes with hosin sauce, but it came with peanut sauce instead and a very generous 2 TBS...maybe...for 4 rolls. No hosin sauce, although I had asked for some. Not worth the money.
Really good if you want vegan cuisine. One of the few places in town that'll keep you coming back. There is some meat on the menu for your friends who aren't.
Lunch combo is perfect. You get a small main course, flavored rice, salad, and two small spring rolls. Tasty and guilt free.
Ordered carry-out at the recommendation of somebody who knew Thai Vegan pre-split. The two dishes he picked, the pumpkin curry (not true pumpkin, but tastier!) and the creamy chicken were really tasty! The former, which we ordered 4/5 spiciness, balanced richness with spice very well. The creamy chicken (also 4/5) sat comfily in a similarly well-balanced broth of coconut milk with ample veggies! Everything was packaged with care and made the trip home safe and warm (which I can't say for every place's takeout).
While the prices are a moderately high, the flavor and vegan accommodation made it a worthwhile treat. Abq has a lot of good Thai places, and this one joined my favorites over the course of one meal.
Side note: The service was polite and readily offered dining utensils. Don't just take one reviewer's word for it, though. Go try some Thai Heritage yourself!
Ordered from this restaurant last night, the curry, fried rice and spring rolls were fresh and tasted great. I’ll definitely be visiting this place again when I come back to Albuquerque!
Everything was delicious!
Great food
Delicious as always. Too bad no patio dining
If you close at 8 15 then you should put that on your google as well as all your ads u dnt stay open till 9 and you dnt take orders after 8 be more professional and do it right
Definitely not like Thai Vegan was. The spicy noodles were very bland. The service is also very lacking—can’t even get cutlery. This was unexpected because moments before giving me my order, the employee spent 3-4 minutes going through the list with someone else; she even asked about chopsticks three times and then clarifying how many forks were needed. One would have assumed that with one meal and an appetizer they might have just throw in a napkin for the hell of it and something to eat it with.
Food was great! Had red curry.
Great service and the food awesome, I you don't know what you want they help pick what your interested in.
Wasn’t the best flavor, good quantity.
Barbra Montoya probably didn't shower and was smelling herself because I think this restaurant smells like heaven and warmth. My favorite thai restaurant by far. The food touches my soul so much I dream about and crave it. Love the people there one time my order was taking a little more time and they gave me a free thai tea to wait for my to go order and it was AMAZING loved the tea and the food!
I truly enjoy this Tai Vegan Resturant. The food can either have bite or be mellow, Just the one taking your order. The ambiance relaxing. The decore takes me back to the cuisine I enjoyed over seas. Everything about this place and the variety of meals spells Happy Tummy Time. Besides meals an intoxicating exotic drink, they also serve sweet tea that's fantastic. It's a real treat to go here.
Though pricey, the food is always delicious. I prefer their takeout over dining in. Mediocre service but the food makes up for it
Justvwhatcwe ordered. The service guy was super cool. The food clean and tasteful.. will be back. Vegan lifestyle
Excellent food. Very friendly. Love the P.E.T.
It smells like a toilet in here. The other location is terrific. Soy orange chicken is really good. While looking at the reviews someone said that a month ago.
Great food and friendly waiter
The most awesome vegan food!!! Thank you for these fantastic options and for your super friendly staff!
My favorite vegan restaurant with a very long menu.
Visited this on Christmas day when I was in ABQ for holidays. One of the few places which were open that day. Ordered grilled vegan dumplings as appetizers followed by red curry. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. There are plenty of other vegan options on the menu. I wish I had enough time to explore more options. Definitely a must visit restaurant in the town. Very highly recommended.
Really good lunch special in a great atmosphere.
Outstanding food. Great vegan and vegetarian place.
Amazing food!! Exceptional staff
Amazing vegan food. Try the Thai hot wings.
Our party walked in and was seated but the place reeked of a sewage smell. We decided it wasn't worth it and left before ordering food. I'd be wary of visiting here again as a result.
Waited over 36-minutes to get service before deciding to just leave. Very frustrating as my wife and I were the only customers there. Will not come back.
Fabulous food, GREAT waitstaff.
