Kitchen closed 15 minutes before time!
Food was decent but very expensive! And portion sizes were tiny. And they add a mandatory tip on top. I didn’t expect NYC prices in an NJ suburb. A lot of less expensive options around. They need a reality check.
Sadly, what was once my favorite Thai restaurant has now been officially crossed of my list. Over the years the quality declined but I continued going hoping for better quality. Tonight I stopped by the quiet and empty restaurant at 7:30pm and ordered take out for my family. When I got home and took the containers out of the bag I was extremely surprised to see the portions have now decreased by almost half! Same price, but a lot less food. Our regular order wasn't even enough to feed my family and I had to supplement dinner with sandwiches. A great disappointment and frustration. I'm saddened to have to give this review after so many years, but I do so with the hope that this business will make the much needed improvements.
Over priced and not impressed. The portion sizes are average but the prices are steep. I left with indigestion and disappointment. The dumpling appetizer was really bad. They don't have a kids menu, in case you need one. Just go to the Sushi place next door. You'll be glad you did.
HORRIBLE! The chicken in the red curry and pad thai were these small shavings of tough and dry meat. The grilled shrimp was so over cooked that it was like eating the sole of a shoe. $90 for inedible food. The first and LAST time I ever order from here.
Before Siam House responds with some snarky comment (like they have with other bad reviews) — yes, I’m a real person and this is a REAL review. If you don’t take these more seriously, your business is going to suffer.
This was my first encounter with Thai food, and I couldn't have had a better experience. Everything we ordered was just bursting with flavor. I wanted more and more. I could not get enough. I'll be back soon and often.
The WORST Thai restaurant so have visited in my life - and I am a Thai food lover.
Stale smell and my packed thai red curry had a small cockroach in it. Yechhhh. I feel sick thinking of that food. I was sick that day. My son complained and got a sorry and a refund but I wonder if they did anything about the hygiene of that place.
Maybe someone in the Health Department should take note.
The food is decent - far from "shockingly inedible." I've been a few times, and it's always quiet, which makes the Kenny G playlist a bit annoying. Portions are normal, curries are a bit sweet but better than the next closest place.
The food is stale. The prices are more than what you pay in Manhattan midtown. Haven't seen such a bad quality food vs the price over the last 10 years. we went for dinner. There is no one in the restaurant and we were surprised. and we were not surprised when we left the place. Close to garbage.
They automatically added gratuity when receiving my check for a party of one! Very sleazy business practice. One and done for me

Wow that was awful food. We were craving thai, but after this experience we may never eat thai again. Super disappointed. Will never order again.

Good food and fast service!
Delicious dinner delivered right to our front door in less than 30 minutes. Fresh and flavorful. Will order again.
Food it good got no complain

Decent Thai restaurant option.
Very average food.
Duck Tamarind and Red Curry were great!
This place is amazing, been there three times and everything I have is excellent only thing now that Is wrong as you can smell the cigar place that is next door, but the people are so nice and the soft music and great food puts you in a calm soothing mood.A+++
Very good Curry and Pad Thai, service is excellent.
Food is mediocre. They put automatic gratuity in your check. It is very misleading for people. I almost doubled my tip!
Food is usually great order alot today lady was rude on phone when I ordered I ordered 2 pad se ew 1 chicken 1 shrimp received 1 shrimp 1 beef
I usually eat here twice a week since it's so close to home. The food is ALWAYS delicious and the hostess/waitress wonderful.
I'm surprised that siam house only has 3 star rating maybe i came in at a good time on good staff day but i had a great experiend
I love Asian food especially Thai food and this place is not even close to Thai food. Don't go here if you want to be charged extra for service that is not even up to par! Bad Overall!

The food quality has diminished over time. I normally order take out and the staff is rude. But even worse- this last time- we found a bug in our order!
Staff not friendly! Food was fine!
Atmosphere great food smells great.
These guys charge for food like some fully high-end restaurant !! Thats not it, whatever you say in the food they will charge extra bucks for everything.. I ordered drunken noodles with tofu instead of chicken.. guess what there was $1 extra for tofu.. same thing for curry.. this is 1st thai restaurant EVER that charged for the rice to go with the curry (curry was ~$16 by the way).. Food was very oily and OK.. disappointed with the food.. never again!

Delicius food we tray fish with tamarindo sauce as in Thailand.Original phatai and the Shiam house rice fresh food and familiar service.
