I was in the area for a bike meet and needed a lunch spot. What a great choice. Small place big menu. I had an order of tepanyaki one of the best I've had. Teriyaki crispy duck with white rice. Looking forward to a ride in the area again.

Lanna Thai is in my opinion, one of the best places to eat in Laconia. The food is fantastic, the service is exceptional and I'm always glad having ordered there.

Called in a takeout order. I was told the food would be ready in 15 minutes. Showed up 20 minutes later and was welcomed with a friendly employee. Food was ready and packaged well. Got home and everything I ordered was perfect! 100% recommend getting food here

The food is fantastic! Flavorful, not too spice. The owner made me sashimi even though it wasn’t on the menu. The size of the meals are great for the price. The staff is very pleasant. The service for take out was as quoted and fast. Definitely a place not to miss trying.

A year ago, when I first tried this place, the food was amazing and the portions were huge. But recently, I've noticed the portions have gotten smaller. When I ordered the seafood yellow curry, I was surprised by how little seafood was in it. It was mostly just curry soup with very few scallops. It really didn't feel worth the money. I will try later again to see what truth is… but the staff was very friendly!

First time trying this place, it wasn’t bad per se but I found it to be quite expensive for what you get. Got a couple of things to share between two people and found that we were both left still a bit hungry, for the price I expected a bit more in the dishes. The service was good though, friendly enough. Probably closer to 2.5 stars but 3 because the lady behind the counter was super friendly. Don’t think we will be going again, unfortunately.

I decided to visit this place as it was on my way to lakes. The food was delicious and staff was warm and friendly. The taste was awesome! I also got a to go for later use. Would highly recommend this place

So I used to love this place with the old owners. Went there a lot. Never had problems and the food was amazing!
Last night I got the food I used to order and it was terrible. The tofu pad thai had soggy tofu, no vegetables (and maybe saw one scallion), and way too much egg. The bottom had a greasy liquid and the sauce didn’t taste like any pad thai I’d ever had and it’s my favorite so I’ve had it a lot. It also had a type of noodle I didn’t recognize and had never seen used in this dish before. The fried tofu was soggy (again) and it seemed to have some type of batter on it that I’d never seen before. It was barely fried and had no crunch. The spring rolls were edible, but they had almost no filling.
The only thing that was awesome was the Thai iced tea. They didn’t make it ahead of time so there was no melting of the ice cubes and I appreciated that.
The iced tea and the service are the only reasons it’s not getting 1 star. The woman who took my order, made my Thai iced tea, and brought out my food was so kind and helpful. She even got the door for me and warned me about the step which was nice because I forgot.
All in all, I will probably only come by when I want a Thai iced tea because the food quality has gone down so much I don’t even find it edible.u

This restaurant was incredible years ago, under the old ownership. There were nice little touches, like free spring rolls with every order and the food was delicious. Alas, all of that is gone now with the new owners. The last time we got take out there, we had to throw it away. The crab ragoons, which used to be the best you could get anywhere, were filled with a strange off tasting substance. Inedible. My sweet and sour rice dish also was not good. We are going to have to make Thai Smile in Plymouth our go-to Thai restaurant now. Sad....

Just stopped in to try Lanna Thai since the new owners took over. The food was Divine and staff is very friendly. Every sauce and dish had distinct exciting flavor. The restaurant is clean and the prices are extremely fair for the portions. We will be back!

The woman working at the front desk was so pleasant and sweet! She came out and held the door so I could carry out my two bags of food. This was our first time dining here as we are from out of town, but our family who lives in town will definitely return! The food was delicious, and the spring rolls were a crowd favorite. The portion sizes and flavor were perfect.

Cost is definitely at higher end of the spectrum and service is at lower. Definitely overrated and overpriced for the quality and quantity provided. Some friendly suggestions to improve are here. Take it or leave it. Please provide a numbers on menu for phone orders because owner struggles in understanding English. Cost of dish is definitely overpriced. Please provide complimentary salad, spring rolls or soup like other Asian restaurants in the area. Size is shrimp seafood is relatively smaller than other and taste is less flavorful due to excessive water. You may ask customers about their preference mild, medium or hot etc. Hope we see a much improved nice balance soon.

The best Thai food around

We went there for lunch. Had Spring Rolls, Thai Fried Rice and Pad Thai(tofu). Spring roll was soft crispy and delicious. Our 2 year old liked it a lot.. Thai fried rice was delicious too.. however pad Thai was bit soggy and was not good. Still it tasted fine. It is self service restaurant, but the lady over there served us and was very kind. 5 star for their service and they way treat customers. Would definitely recommend this place.

Lanna Thai was incredible!!! The service was awesome as well as the food! The server was extremely kind and attentive. We ordered way too much: steak teriyaki, tofu salad, basil chicken, salmon rolls, Tom kha soup! But we aren't sad about this at all: The reheat value on this food is top notch! We will absolutely be be back when we visit this area.. highly recommend eating here. They do not serve adult beverages... But you must try the Thai lemon tea!! It was out of this world!!!

Great fresh food at reasonable prices!

We were looking to eat in but then when we went in there was a sign stating that there were only taking take out orders.

Since it was lunch, we did the lunch specials and the bento box. We did the red curry, pad thai and the temperature bento box. The bento box came with a salad, California roll while the lunch specials came with a rice on the side.

The food was good and I was torn between a 4 star and a 5 star but ended up going for a 5 as the service was excellent. The reason I did lean to a 4 was because I have had better thai food and the restaurant looked more like a Chinese takeout, that could need some work on the ambience.

Going with five stars--it was tasty and I enjoyed it for both dinner and as leftovers. It's not gourmet big city Thai, but if you're looking for Thai in Lake Winnipesaukee, I absolutely recommend this particular spot.

I ordered pad thai, pad se ew, crab rangoons and two different sushi rolls. Everything was delicious. I really hope these guys make it through this because it's my favorite restaurant to visit.

Lanna Thai is open during the shutdown and has new owners who are trying to keep thier restaurant in business. I had take out and the portions are larger than the old LT. The Pad Thai was delicious and had plenty of plump shrimp in it and my Tom Yum soup was good and spicy. My wife enjoyed the Pineapple Fried Rice. Help the new owners survive this terrible downturn and give them some business. You'll have an enjoyable meal and help keep open the only Thai restaurant in Laconia.

I just ordered a few dishes off the old menu. I was told that there are now new owners, and some items would not be the same. I wanted to say the food was amazing!! Not dissapointed at all. Very happy. Thank you so much. I will be back regularly. Great great job!!

This just reopened under new management on Thursday April 2, 2020. The new owners had signed a contract before the virus hit. Since I love Thai, I thought I would do what I could to help them. Am I happy I did. They are excellent. I pray they won't go under. I usually judge a thai rest. by their Pad Thai and theirs was great. I also had the green curry which was outstanding. Portions were very good. I also tried the tempura and they were very flavorful but because it was take out and covered, it lost its crispness but again had great flavor. I hope you will help them out. I'm afraid we will lose them. They are a hair more expensive then others but I will definately go back

This place is amazing. I always go here but have never done a review until now. I have nothing but good things to say about this. I have tried the Pad Thai, the pad see ew, the pad woonsen, the spring rolls, the summer rolls, the phò soup, the miso soup, the crispy wontons, the drunken noodles and the noodle dish with duck in it and I have yet to find a dish that isn't amazing. The owner works very hard to make sure that you are happy and this place is very clean out on the floor and in the kitchen, which is better than every other foreign restaurant in this area (I will not name any names on this review!) I would give more reviews on other dishes served here, but it's hard to try other dishes when I keep getting stuck on my favorite ones so far which has been what I have listed above! I plan on trying most everything on this menu. Wonderful service.

A great little hole in the wall restaurant. Don’t let the looks of the outside fool you. The inside is very clean and tastefully decorated. Food is fresh and delicious. My table ordered Thai spring rolls, Kanom-Jeep (homemade steamed dumplings) for appetizers. Shared entrees of basil fried rice with pork (cooked to spicey as requested) and a chicken and spinach entree from the Chef’s Specials list. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. Service very good in spite of one person managing entire front of restaurant. If you are dining in it can get busy and patience is key. I look forward to a return visit. It does have a limited beer and wine selection but they offer several non alcoholic beverages including several types of Thai teas.

I love this place!! It's one of the only options in the area for Thai, but the food never disappoints! It's always the same lady running the entire front of the restaurant, and sometimes it does get a bit busy, but she is so nice about it and is obviously trying to get to everyone asap.
