Cooked-to-order fare including Thai BBQ pork & green curry served amid decorative Thai accents.
I came here for lunch and had the Pad Thai. I know standard dish, but it's actually very good here. Lunch comes with the noodles in a med bowl and served with of all things white rice. Why steamed rice with rice noodles? I dunno! The flavor of the noodles is very good, but the price has gone up to $16.00 for the lunch special. Just be aware no cheap lunch anymore. Service is very professional.
We had never been to this place and honestly quite a gem. The price for the lunch special between $11-16 but includes: soup, roll, salad and your main entré. Fresh produce. My husband had the chicken pad Thai and was delicious!! I had the green curry with tofu and a must try. Will for sure go back and started referring others to check it out.
Had the pad thai for lunch. The taste and presentation was good. I like how they have a small pitcher of water on the table so you always have more water on hand. The interior decorations looked nice and made you feel like you were more at a home. I'll have to stop by and try their curry next time.
Cute restaurant with some tables outside. Very nice and friendly staff. I ordered the Khao Kra Prao Gai with level 4 spice. Delicious. For me, a level 4 was a mild spice to maybe a low medium. I could have gone to a level 6. If I lived here in Reno, I'd be a frequent customer.
Pretty decent Thai restaurant for being centrally located. It gets crowded in here even during the week for lunch, so I guess a lot of people like it. I had the standard Pad Thai, dinner portion. It was probably the second best Pad Thai I've had in Reno. It was plated very nice , I'll give it that. The flavor was good too, properly done. My friend had the panang Salmon for about $20. Expensive, but he liked it. Service was fine and no communication probs at all. Very professional.
We had Chef's Special Pad Thai, fried spring rolls, and Panang curry. Everything was delicious though we'd probably skip the spring rolls next time. Disappointed that they were out of fresh spring rolls but we were eating late, so our fault. My wife loves them. Service was attentive without being obnoxious. Will definitely be back.
I absolutely love this restaurant and try to go here or order from here every time I’m in Reno. They have an extensive gluten free menu and work with my food allergies. The ingredients are so fresh and the service is always wonderful. They have awesome lunch specials too!

Best thai food I've ever had
Loved their food and service. We ordered Pad Thai, Chicken Satay, Yellow Noodle Soup & Fried Banana with Icecream for dessert. All of them are a hit, especially the dessert.
Most authentic Thai spot in town, but still plenty of Americanized options good for everyone!
Bonus: Oddcha’s prob my newest fav tea shop in town, with the best executed cheese foam teas in Reno!
Basil chicken was delicious. Ordered spice level 10 which is alledgedly their hottest. Not that hot. Great spring rolls. Soup was meh. Good food and fair price for lunch special. Seating is wide open so you may have others sitting pretty close to you.
Was in Reno for a business trip and was craving some thai food. Found Thai Lotus and wow was it good! Wifey had the Mango Curry and I the Avocado Curry. Super flavorful and very delicious. Highly recommended!
Great place, best Thai food in Reno! Eat here about once a month and have for years. Both takeout and dine in are quick and easy.
We tried the green thai curry and chicken satay. Both were not great. Satay had not much flavor. Bland chicken pieces.
Green curry was very dilute and sweet. Inspite of choosing a spice level 7.

Wow. What a great spot. I was so impressed! I got the Southern Style Beef Curry Noodle, and it was so freaking good. Chunks of fork tender beef in a rich brown broth with potatoes, onions, and bok choy. It was like Thai pot roast! Never seen anything like it. So delicious, I have to try to recreate it at home. Spice is on point, too. I got my meal a 7, and it was exactly what I want a 7 to taste like at a Thai restaurant. Right at that level where it's a little painful, but not ruining your ability to taste the food.
Always perfection. <3
Great food and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Boba tea is one of my favorite drinks! This place has fresh boba. I purchased the Odcha matcha and it is absolutely delicious and tasty, my add ins were boba pearls. I also ordered a passion fruit green tea with boba. Everything was 10 out of 10. In Reno, this is the place to go for good boba teas and slushies.
We got here in time for the lunch special. My husband ordered beef pumpkin curry spice level 4. I ordered chicken mango curry spice level 3. Both were absolutely delicious. Not an improvement to be made. We also ordered curry puffs that were very tasty. Highly recommend (unless you are allergic to peanuts probably).
Gen and Teya were amazing servers. They were friendly and anticipated our needs without us having to ask. Tasty food as well. Will be back for sure!
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in town. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great overall. I tried Thai street chicken for the first time and liked it a lot. On the day of my visit, the temp suddenly dropped. So I ordered ginger tea, which was a perfect accompaniment to my meal that night. Prices were right, too. Will be back with my friend for a nice catching up lunch (I noticed their
lunch specials on the menu)!
Nice service. Food was too sweet in general tho.
Food was good, but took forever. But I'll allow that it was Friday night and very busy.
Never had Thai before. But the food was amazing and the staff was very kind!
Fast and courteous
The food was fresh and full of flavor. Some members of our group didn't like spice and ordered the food mild. Even without spice, the food was flavorful with ginger and garlic. Another person ordered theirs as a 4 and wished they had actually said 5. They had no problem making our dish vegan and knew exactly what they needed to do. They also had a fun drink menu that had some non caffeinated fun iced drinks for kiddos. I would actually come back for drinks another time. They have a children's menu but my youngest actually just had some of our Pad Thai plus a side order of rice;p Great place for dates, families, groups of friends/colleagues, or takeout.
Food was horrible and dry
Food was fabulous. Had the Pad Prik Khing and Pad thai. Everything was really good. Very busy for a Monday night too
My new favorite Thai spot in town. Everything has great! Huge portions great for sharing, amazing boba/drink selection (all delicious), and we went 10 on the spice and it was still Flavorful and delicious. Got the avocado curry, panang curry (the most peanutty ever!), and veggie Tom Kah. I will definitely be back. So happy I found this place!
Red Salmon Curry dish had grateful spice flavor. Green beans could have been a little softer. (Under cooked for myselfLike) but tasty.
Came here to try food from gluten free menu. The sweet & sour chicken is great. I also had chicken satay and it was very good along with fried rice. Woman at the counter was very nice and asked if I wanted ice water as my order was to go.
Excellent food and service as always!
The food was just mediocre. Compared to some other Thai restaurants it just wasn't good. The server was not friendly. Everyone working there looked like they hated their lives and that energy ruins the dining experience. They never refilled our water pitcher, which was warm water without ice. My son's orange chicken was dry as dirt and had no flavor at all. Pad Thai was a pile of mush with no spice and just didn't taste Thai. Atmosphere wouldn't have been bad if the staff could even fake a smile for a minute. After all, they're working for tips, they should act like it. Lastly, is it a bobba shop or a restaurant? Cause it's hard to tell when you walk in. Not very likely I'll go again.
Pineapple fried rice - EXCELLENT
Chicken Panang Curry - EXCELLENT
Shrimp and Calamari - EXCELLENT
Excellent dinner in a casual atmosphere. An unexpected find.
Best Thai food I've had in Reno. Teya was such a kind, wonderful server and made sure we had the best food and experience as possible. Will definitely return.
amazing food .too bad they close sunday ,otherwise i will eat there every Sunday..
This was my 1st visit and I was excited to try the pineapple fired rice. Maybe my expectations, as a foodie, we're a little high. I was expecting diced, charred pieces of pineapple in a classic fried rice, what I got was fried rice with a yellow color and chunks of pineapple with big square pieces of onion in it. 🤣 I had it with chicken, it was still pretty good but below expectations. The customer service was very good, very friendly and prompt. I also had the Reno Refresher, which I asked for no Boba, still got the Boba 🤦🏽♂️🤣 The atmosphere was cool, welcoming, cool place for a 1st time date or casual date, lunch/dinner. Overall I give the place a solid 7 out of 10 for my 1st time visit
This restaurant is one of the best Thai places I have ever been to. The Food was great and rich in flavor, the service was amazing and they were super patient. The atmosphere adds nice surrounding music and a quiet environment. Overall, 10/10
This is hands down my favorite solo lunch spot in Reno. They have wonderful lunch specials but I often order Tom Kha Soup. Everything I have had here is incredible. I love their Thai Iced Tea. Service is always fast and friendly. Great food, great atmosphere!
Had a great dinner tonight at Thai Lotus. The kids loved the pot stickers and honey chicken. Hubby and I enjoyed the green curry. We all got fun tea drinks/ smoothies from the attached drink place. We will definitely return when in Reno.
I will definitely come back to eat here, but for bobas amazing. Taste is on point, perfectly balanced & refreshing. And customer service was great! So kind and helpful.
Thai Lotus is THE BEST Thai food in Reno. The staff is always amazing and super friendly, the food is incredible and reasonably priced (definitely head there for lunch during the week for a great lunch special option), and overall great atmosphere. My favorite dish is the Pad Woon Sen and it’s the best bang for your buck when you order it for a lunch special. I have celiacs and order everything gluten free. They’ve got the best selection for gluten free with a separate menu and they do an awesome job in the kitchen keeping things separate.
This is our favorite Thai place for lunch. Good lunch specials. Fast friendly service.
Had a quick stop for lunch during my recent trip to Truckee, and I love this place because of the taste, quality, and ambiance.
We live 30 miles north of Reno, so when we go into town eating out is a special occasion. We decided to try Thai Lotus. The staff was friendly as well as helpful. The food was exquisite. They also have a new veg drink menu, I had the mango coconut and my wife had dragon fruit. They were amazing.
First time try Thailand food, will be my last time. Worst food I had. Not sure why every food adding sugar
All the food was Bomb
Cute place, yummy food, and very friendly 😊
Best Thai restaurant in Reno.
Amazing service, food was great quality.
Very enjoyable. Delightful staff. The food was good, but a little mundane. Thai food is vibrant, and makes your taste buds so glad to be alive. This was a little tame. But I'm spoiled. I've been fortunate to travel to Thailand a few times and LOVE the food + people. I'd go back, but would prefer the food to be a little more exciting.
Excellent food!! Very clean establishment with a great atmosphere. Outstanding service and attentiveness! I’ve eaten Tom yum and an entree three nights in a row this week. Need extra protein? Have food allergies? No problem, They DO NOT disappoint! Legit favorite place to eat in Reno.
ALWAYS a delicious experience!! Thank you for both the food & the service!
Prompt friendly service, Great food.
Amazing food and great service!! One of the we’ve had!
Delicious! Loved the pumpkin curry.
So friendly, try the Larb it’s delicious
I really enjoyed their Yellow Curry lunch special! Great value and service
One of my favorite Thai places
The new drink area is tacky and greatly diminishes the appeal of the restaurant.
The Thai tea is amazing, the food is great usually, except this last time. We ordered the sticky rice, and both of them were hard in the middle. We didn't find this out till we got home. The last thing is checking out the bring up a tip screen, Why? Tipping is when you wait on me or you deliver my food, you did neither. The food is still amazing. I would recommend the avocado curry with chicken and rice and Aaron Thai tea. The staff is friendly, I just think Tipping has gotten out of hand!!!
Stopped by for a quick lunch during a work trip. Arrived around 1130am and the place was beginning to fill up. I was seated pretty much right away. The menu is pretty extensive as well.
I had the lunch special basil eggplant with a substitute with pad thai instead of rice. The eggplant was very hot in temperature, which is great. Flavor was good. The pad thai was too wet and too sweet. You can tell they pre made a huge batch and kept warm and served when ordered instead of cook to order. The egg roll was good. I didn't care for the peanut dressing in the salad.
The service was great from start to finish. The decor was thai style with a lot of wood. The art pieces were also very nice, which created a friendly ambiance.
Overall, not a bad thai restaurant for Reno.
Hands down best Thai I’ve tried in Reno. So fresh and amazing quality. The larb is my go to!
Best Pad Kee Mao I’ve ever had!
Its been awhile since we have been on this side of town. By far the best Thai food in the Reno area. Service is outstanding.
Great Thai Food and fast service.
Always a great food experience here. Super friendly staff.
The YELLOW CURRY is by far the best in all of Reno. I got it with medium spice and it wasn't overwhelming at all. It was perfect! Thank you for a delicious meal!
1st time here won't be the last. Great food. Good size portions.
We got yellow curry and pad Thai after a long day of travel and it hit the spot. So delicious!
Delicious food but due to popularity the food can take some time to get to you
Food quality was okay. We ordered pad kee maw, and it could have been more saucy and more flavorful. The crispy tofu lacked salt and even with the sauce it was bland. Need a lot of improvement for taste.
This is one of the best restaurants in Reno! Great portions and delicious food. Everything that we’ve ordered here is delicious. We have lived in some big cities and the Thai food at Thai Lotus is as good as anything we’ve had.
Our favorites:
Tom Kha soup
Pad See Ew beef
Spicy Catfish
Green Curry
Pot Roasted Pork Ribs
Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong! We’ve never had a bad dish here.
In my opinion this is the single best Thai restaurant in Reno; for to-go, delivery, or take away. The servers and owners are always kind and patient even on their business days. The food is excellent and consistent: highlights being all appetizers, the tofu pad Thai, any of the curries, and the Thai tea. The prices are reasonable the atmosphere is classic American Thai restaurant.
Authentic, consistent, great vibe. I love this place! I look forward to trying so much more of their tempting menu.
The fact that it’s always busy is a good sign. Means the food is good. Which it is. The waiters do everything they can and the host. But the kitchen has a habit of falling behind. Whenever my family takes us out they always seem to forget to cook at least 2 of our orders. Since they can’t keep up maybe give us a discount?
Nice Thai food.
🚨Triple check your bill!
Over charges on credit card.
Food is ok. Service is horrible.
Best Thai restaurant in Reno. Excellent service! Thanks, Jen and the other servers, for taking care of us. They were so nice and attentive to our orders/requests.
First time I tried this place definitely coming back.
I really love this place! The service is great! If you have a short lunch break it is the perfect place for you!
Just ate here with a party of 3. The food was bad, poorly seasoned, and not authentic. And they overcharged us!
Pad kee mao noodles were super soggy and flavored weird. The tom kha soup was so salty, it was inedible. And the pineapple curry was very watered down, it was more like a broth? What a disappointment.
When our bill came, they charged higher prices for our dishes than what was listed in their menu. So watch out for that! When we pointed this out to them, they said that they raised prices in their system , but not on their menus. Well, that’s a false advertisement problem, isn’t it?
Food was absolutely delicious
I don’t really write reviews anymore but the food was so bad I have to say something. First off, I’ve traveled to Thailand several times, and have traveled and eaten extensively there. That being said, I didn’t expect the food here to be that authentic, but it was just so bad. The pad see yew was overcooked mush that lacked sauce and the quality of the chicken was awful. The broccoli was soggy. Probably frozen before. I took one bite and stopped eating. The pad Thai was as sweet as dessert. Awful. The tom yum soup was the most palatable but still tasted weird. None of these dishes had any depth. It’s food made without respect for the diner or the cuisine. I think it’s the worst Thai food I’ve ever had in the US.
While passing through town, we stopped for dinner at Thai Lotus. It was delicious. I appreciated that you can actually get your food spicy if you want it spicy.
Tom yum soup tastes nothing like it should. Huge bummer. Not any lemongrass flavor at all.
Way worse though just took a sip of Thai tea and it had rotten coconut milk
Spoiled, sour, and chemical tasting. 😭 so sad. Had to throw all my food out. Bf liked his pad Thai
Wonderfull lunch specials, great service and the food is amazing!
Best pad Thai in town. Very accommodating to special diets and excellent cleanliness, I've never gotten sick eating there and I have severe food allergies.
I came in from Susanville,CA. This place is 5 stars. Teya was our server/waitress, she went above and beyond to make our visit pleasant.
I LOVE this place! I'm an army brat....born and raised in Thailand. This is the place!! I'm a pilot, so travel the country often. I'm always looking for the best Thai cuisine in any city I visit.
This is the BEST Thai restaurant I've come across in the US.
I've come back three days in a row for the Thai lotus chicken....and I don't care for chicken.
Their mango sticky rice for desert is Excellent!
Love their food. They are extremely busy even in off peak hours. Waited 1 hr after order called in. Need to be patient. Don't go in if in a hurry and don't go in early. When they say it's going to be 30 mins, it's going to be 30 mins or more. Food is good and that's why they are so packed.
Year after year this place delivers consistently good Thai food. Plenty of parking on site.
This was truly the worst Thai food we have ever eaten. It was very bland and lacked the usual flavor of Thai food. We were very disappointed!
Went during lunch this place was packed got seated fast. To my surprise there were more than 5 people to take orders and it didn’t take long before they took order and deliver food. They serve a hot soup complimentary first. Food was tasty the Qty was lot had to take Togo. Great atmosphere must visit if you love Thai cuisine.
The food had no flavor. I would not eat here again.
Never have eaten inside, I’ve always taken this to go. Spicy levels are an excellent plus and the service is top notch
We came here fpr lunch after doing a research of where to eat Thai food in Reno area. The restaurant looks really Thai-related and authentic with Thai menu options and staffs who speaking Thai language. The food portion here is good for sharing between 2 people. Lunch special is also a nice option to go with. We ordered Tom Kha small size, pinapple fried rice, and pad thai. The taste was great. The decoration of the restaurant makes it a little dark though. It would be great if some small changes in terms of lighting are made.
Amazing food and service
Great food and very friendly staff
Staff was sweet, food was solid. Spice was well measured
The portions are huge! We ordered 2 different kinds of curries, the Lotus crispy chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. My 3 hungry teenagers ate everything up! The Lotus chicken is very unique and crispy. The Panang curry is unique also because it is peanut based. The sweet and sour sauce tasted fresh (not artificial) and not too sweet. Perfect for a family of 5 driving through on a road trip. The service was amazing and they are professional. Our food came out fast which was good because we skipped lunch and we are all hungry! We wished we lived closer to eat here again.
Food are excellent and excellent customer service as well with our server Gena
We’ve loved our take out from Thai Lotus. We’ve ordered pad see ew, basil eggplant, kids pad Thai, sweet and sour chicken (battered). Pad see ew and sweet and sour chicken were amazing, right amount of saltiness, on point with flavors and taste. Kids’ pad Thai was a bit too sour to my taste, but still very good, our son like it. The basil eggplant could have a bit more sweetness and/or sour taste to it, but it still a very good dish. Overall we are very happy with our take out, will come back here and highly recommend to anyone, who loves a good quality Thai food.
Seated first out of all these people and never got our food. Looked around at everyone else with food but us. We walked out. Employees could not understand or explain.
Thai Lotus never disappoints. The food is well prepared and well presented. The staff is friendly But does not intrude on conversations.
The food was good but the servings were a little smaller. Mango sweet rice was amazing.
Ordered food to go but the atmosphere was cool and customer service was good. The food was good although I didn’t care for the broccoli in my basil fried rice. Peanut sauce was like melted peanut butter. Tom Kha soup was delicious. Overall, I liked it.
The place has good food and provide big portions. The restaurant is pretty big but the service can be a little slow. The Thai wait staffs were great but the Philippinos wait staff seems unfriendly. After we ordered, the food did come out fast. The fried rice is great but the curry is a little too molded. The wonton soup is good.
Food was ok at best, but service and atmosphere were outstanding!
First time we came here as we were travelling from Canada and decided to try this restaurant because of the good reviews and it did not disappoint at all!!
We entered the restaurant and the waitress was super welcoming and the atmosphere was one of the best that I’ve ever seen in any restaurants.
The music was very nice and calm.
This is the first restaurant where the workers show a lot of respect to clients and are always very welcoming.
The food was SOOO good and the portion was very big and the price is understandable for such a big portion of food.
When we asked for packages to take home the rest of our food the waitress was very considerate because some of our foods contained soup and they gave us different containers for it.
Will definitely come back if we travel here once again.
Tasty and accommodating. But pad Thai is too sweet & boba has too much ice especially if you add lychee jelly it makes it hard to finish the last half. They made both my husband’s noodles and my rice noodle veggie stir fry all plant based, deleting my crazy food allergies. Good flavor and wonderful customer service. We will definitely be back. Nicky our first waitress is so pleasant and always smiling!
Wonderful spot for lunch! They are busy but impressively efficient and the food is delicious.
Good Thai specialties that you can spice up to taste. They were willing to accommodate a group of a dozen who all wanted separate checks!
Been going here for years and no where near what it used to be. Got to go order and food was barley mediocre. Not only that they only filled up the soups barley past half way. When I called to tell them what happened they claimed they don’t fill it to the top so it won’t spill, which I get. However, as you can see they barley even gave me a medium and left WAY more room than needed to prevent spilling. We also go the clear noodle soup, which was filled to the top, we’re the not concerned with that one spilling? (still could have filled it a bit more with out over flowing. I’ve had many soups sent to me full in the same packaging with no spillage. This is just their way to be cheep) When I told them they used to fill soups to the top they literally ignored me and ended the call. Also, the yellow curry is as as thin as water and lacks flavor. Terrible service, not very good food and even worse experience. Will not be back. Here are pictures you can judge for yourself
EDIT: got to the bottom of the clear noodle soup and found a Long black hair. Nobody eating this dinner has long black hair, this was their hair. Nasty.
Thai Lotus made me the most delish fresh Thai chicken salad with colorful yummy ripe and juicy mangos, Avacado was creamy cumbers refreshing with a pleasant crunch cherry tomatoes hint of sweet peanut dressing on the side served in a biodegradable container lined with aluminum foil that prevented leaks easy to open plastic bag with napkin and fork and a hydrating Thai tea. Thank you for your amazing hospitality. Namaste
I've been here a few times and this is one of my favorite thai places in town! The pad see ew and tom kha are great. Spice level can be improved on because level 5 isn't spicy whatsoever. Highly recommend!!
Nice. A cut above. Not the usual same-as-everywhere-else Thai food. I got the green curry and the presentation was much better than I’m used to, and the flavor was unexpected, but it won me over very quickly. For example: the vegetables are fresh ( not stewed to oblivion, as many are).
Spicy catfish was amazing! The pad siu was rather sweet, which was unfortunate as I love that dish but unfortunately didn't love this one. And my wife wasn't very happy about the green curry lunch special.
Given that, giving 3 stars. I think they probably have some more gems on the menu like the spicy catfish, but I would have to search for them.
Service was actually really good. We probably should have asked for suggestions.
The food here is so delicious. The Ginger Lover is amazingly flavorful - I've ordered it multiple times and it is awesome every time.
I was very impressed with this place. Super fast service and extremely good curry. I had the Avacado Curry Combo and it was delicious. If you're short on time and want good Asian food for lunch, this is the spot!
Fabulous service!
Wait staff is amazing. Food was wonderful.
Welcome surprise. Thai Chicken level 5 was great.
First, I want to share that the people who work here are absolutely lovely. The food is fresh and tasty. Not the best Thai food I’ve had, but it was good and nice during our trip to Reno for volleyball. We ordered the Pad See Ew (Thai stir fried noodles) with chicken and the Thai Basil with Chicken. Both were good. I also ordered a cold Thai beer, because who can have Thai food without beer? If in the area, I would try this spot again.
