Relaxing space with bamboo accents features popular Thai standbys including seafood dumplings.
I love the decorations, the design and atmosphere of this little restaurant. The music was soothing and the smells enticing. I ordered from The lunch specials menu. The drunken spaghetti was served without any spices added, so it had a light and subtle nutty flavor from the oil. I particularly like that they serve most meals with a separate tray of spices that you can add yourself. That is brilliant and I hope that innovation spreads to all Thai restaurants soon. No more negotiating with your server as to whether one star or five stars is particularly spicy to you. The total bill came to less than $11. I will definitely be back!
By far my favorite Thai place in Reno. Location and parking can’t be beat. Service, prices, and quality of food are also very good. Very reasonable prices for the scale of restaurant and amount of food you get. The presentation is always fantastic with some sort of nice vegetable embellishment. The service is always very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well presented. Great pad Thai, great appetizers, and the mango sticky rice is killer. They also have amazing ginger tea. This is my regular Thai place and I recommend it a thousand times over.
I ordered the drunken noodles. Taste was good but the noodles were so soggy and mushy there was not actually a single ‘noodle’ in the dish, just squishy mush. I did complain, no compensation was offered.
We actually had combination Pad Thai.
Chicken, beef, and pork. Dining here is a great pleasure. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. They can help you order if you're not familiar with thai cuisine, so you will have a great dining experience. I can easily recommend this restaurant.
Love this place! Amazing food and generous portions. I’ve had panang curry all over the country and Thai chili has always had my favorite take on the dish (more peanut based).
Cool thing about this place is the parking. They have a lot of parking. For an Asian person like me, who eat Asian food all the time; this place isn't as good as the locals says it is. The name is Thai Chili, but they don't have any Thai Chili. I'm used to eating spicy food and I asked for some Thai Chili; all they gave me was powered pepper (not spicy at all), jalapenos in vinegar (weak), garlic chili sauce (more sweet than spicy), and fish sauce with seeds (???). I never been to a Thai restaurant that didn't have Thai Chili. They service is good, not the food.

After a long day on the road from Oregon , my wife and I have gone to serveral Thai restaurant in Reno that were very good. We decided to give Tahi Chilli a try.
My wife had her standard dish Pad Se Eww with Tofu. Wide noodles with Brocolli in a brown gravy sauce.
I had the Vegetable Garden with Chicken and Pork. Brocolli, Zuchhini , Cabbage, Carrots, Mushrooms in a brown gravy sauce. My dish came out of the kitchen maybe 5 minutes after we ordered. My wife's order came out serveral minutes later. That was a telling sign. My dish had some crunchy bits of something I can not say what it was. Both Chicken and Pork were way over cooked. The cabbage was limp. The Brocolli was not cut enough to put a bite in your mouth.
The host/waitris was very unfriendly. Didn't ask us if we liked our meal. I didn't want to leave a tip but I did under tip.
We'll have to got back to Thai Lotus or The Coconut Downtown next time we're in town.
Great thai! High level food.
Very good Thai food and friendly service.
The food here is pretty good. I ordered the seafood pad thai, papaya salad and calamari and wow was it delicious.
Customer service is great however they can mix up orders for take out so definitely check your order before you leave.
The crowd can get hectic at times especially during peak hours so definitely plan ahead.
Good food
Love this place
Would give this place 10 Stars if I could. We've been here a few times. We've had the tofu Todd appetizer, pad thai, yellow curry with chicken and with tofu, sweet and sour chicken, drunken noodles, etc. Have dined in and gotten to go. The food was incredible, so fresh, so flavorful, and came out faster than expected. The lady who served us was so kind and helpful. There's always enough parking despite being in Midtown. The bathrooms were clean, portion sizes were great, and not only fair prices but a cash discount. Can't say enough good things. Highly highly recommend!
Thai Chili is a Reno Institution! The atmosphere is beautiful. The staff are so nice. And the food... well the food is the BEST Thai Food I've ever had, while still being very affordable.
I suggest you go for lunch, they have great lunch specials!
It just seems the food quality has gone down.
This was the first time ever trying their food out. I would have to said it will be the first and last time. Sadly I am a huge fan of Thai food when it comes to buying larb. Bought the chicken and beef larb. And omg all I tasted was just sugar sweet no flavor nothing. Not even the meat flavor left. If your into sweets then this is the plate for you. All I can said was gross. All of the plate went to the trash where they belong!!! Very disappointed!
We shared a tom kha kai and one of the fried dishes. It was actually more than enough. The service was super fast and nice. Thank you!
Always the most authentic Thai in town. I would argue even better than Bangkok cuisine. 5 Stars.
I ordered the green curry. The sauce was adequate but the veggies were overcooked and slimy.
Quality food.
This one is the most worst Thai food I have ever had.fried rice has a smell, seems like rice is cooked last night.the Tom yum soup is way too sweet, they just gave some raw mushroom into coconut milk, don’t even cooked properly.i don’t know why people gave so much false reviews.
The pad Thai is SO DRY. Where is my sauce? It’s really subpar. Maybe an off day for the chef but this sucks. Just got home w/ my to-go order; order was ready quickly & the vegan fried rolls are good but the pad thai is possibly the worst I’ve had. I’ve been here b4 & the food was better, but I’ll reconsider next time I’m looking for pad thai specifically.**
Always a pleasure eating here and the drunken fried rice dish was awesome.
My go to Thai food restaurant in Reno. I have never had bad service or a not satisfactory meal. I have been eating here for the past 7 years and it's still my go to Thai restaurant in Reno. Excellent food and service, thank you Thai Chili for another great meal!!
Foods are not bad, just short staff. 1 people in the front that taking care in the weekday.
Not totally authentic too much sugar. The sweet cucumber dip tasted like a wet dirty rag. I couldn't eat it.
The spring rolls were great, but the main dishes were just not quite there.
The take out food portion were little, nothing compared to a dine in dish and for the price I paid for.
Worst customer service😔
In short...come try this place! Do it...
Otherwise, the staff are very friendly.
They asked everyone if they had questions about the menu, super efficient, and just...happy!
Loved my visit here!
I bet you will too!
Thank you for some awesome food everyone!
I’ve had pad see ew many times and this was horrible. The chicken and the noodles were extremely over cooked that they mushed together and there was absolutely zero sweetness like a typical pad see ew. So disappointed.
Order was wrong. Never confirmed order back to us and wasn’t given a receipt. Got rice instead of our chicken. Portions are very small, definitely not worth the price. Hostess seem to be rushing us to order because we had a big order, (we ordered 9 dishes). Wait time was kind of long. Customer service could be better. Very disappointed.
Arguably one of the best Thai Restaurants in Reno.
Great out-of-the-way place. Best Thai food in Reno so far.
Good service and food. Would like a little more spicy. Ordered spice level 5 and was more like 1.
My food is always great while dining in here! I love their Thai Tea and Green Tea Floats, too. A must try while having a meal here!
The owner helped me last night after a freak accident happened while eating out with my fiance. I had used the restroom, while washing my hands, my engagement ring slipped right off and down the drain. My heart dropped!! Community came in to help though! While the owner was on his way, a gentleman also dining offered to help since he had tools in his truck, with the restaurants approval of course. He didn't have the right size wrench, unfortunately but the owner came right in time and was able to get the sink drain open the rest of the way and retrieved my ring for me! I am so beyond grateful for everyone's help and the kindness I was given by the staff. Thank you Thai Chilli!
We ALWAYS love Thai Chili!!!
Very stingy with the amount of rice they provide with meals, and terrible attitudes towards customers when issues are brought up
Love the food here :-) our waitress was pretty fun :-) not overly but just right 👍▶️👍
Cute cozy atmosphere. Food was delicious.
The pineapple curry never disappoints
Very good curry dishes and the cheese puff appetizer was good. The spice level was on point for us. The waitress was very good warning us on their spice levels. She asked us what spice level we wanted on 1 to 5 scale and we went with level 3 and was perfect.
We actually had combination Pad Thai.
Chicken, beef, and pork. Dining here is a great pleasure. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. They can help you order if you're not familiar with thai cuisine, so you will have a great dining experience. I can easily recommend this restaurant.
Took a friend for her special birthday and it was a total disappointment. The noodles were small little pieces, soft and definitely bottom of the pot. The chicken needed search and rescue because it was missing. I had not been there in awhile and I won't be back.
I literally tell everyone about this place. The food is AMAZING 👏 😋 😍 🙌
I can't believe that I never stopped there before.
Great food, good prices and fast service, perfect for lunch .
I think this is the second best Thai restaurant in all of Reno. It is very consistent I like the prices the food and sometimes some food takes a little longer but it is worth it.
Fresh ingredients!
Ate here for the first time tonight and it was outstanding. Drunkard noodles were to die for and the Tom yum was delightful. Will be back soon!
Great Thai food. My friends love the eggplant and duck dish. I usually go for a green or yellow curry.
Food was very good, a little pricey and small portions.
great little spot
Great variety. Feels like a family run business. Yummy food with all our favorites. The only reason for 4 stars is that we have gone there three times and the flavors are not consistent.. Tom Ka Ga was OK last time... AMAZING the time before that. Definitely our go to Thai in Reno!
I normally don't post negative reviews, but I have to warn people about this place. I was harassed badly in the parking lot by someone claiming to be the owner after I had eaten lunch there. The incident was so bad I called Reno PD. PLEASE do not patronize this establishment. There are several other Thai restaurants in town where customers don't have to be afraid of being abused or assaulted.
We ordered fried shrimp roll, Pad Kee Maw (Stir fried flat noodles with beef and veggies) and Pad prik king (Grren beans with pork). They took a little bit more time to serve us but all the dishes were excellent!
Very small dinner portions. Shrimp was rubbery. Greasy drunken noodles. The portion of rice for the Panang shimp dinner was about 3/4 cup. Not impressed what so ever. Will not go back.
I make it a point to go to Thai Chili every time I’m in Reno. Their food is amazing and service is quick and attentive even with large groups. I get the Tom Ka Talay every time I’m there and can never go wrong with any of the curries.
I love the decorations, the design and atmosphere of this little restaurant. The music was soothing and the smells enticing. I ordered from The lunch specials menu. The drunken spaghetti was served without any spices added, so it had a light and subtle nutty flavor from the oil. Good food and helpful staff. Also fast service.
Thai Chili never disappoints. I've always had great Thai food here, no matter what I order. The mango curry is fantastic. Thai iced tea is really good. Fast, friendly service as well.
Quality has gone down fast but the pricing has gone up. Should be called bland food. Even when I asked for some heat which tahi food is known for nothing nothing I have tried three time and now give up.
Good place to eat, dining conditions vary on day
Food is excellent
Pad Thai so good. Great service, delicious food! 😋
Expensive
We love Thai food. I’ve had Thai food in Thailand. I would drive to Reno just to eat here. SO GOOD!
Awesome food
Our order was online through the website. Everything was fantastic and the order was ready on time when we arrived to pick it up.
The owner of this place is very rude. We’re here just to get our online order and she was just literally don’t appreciate us being there. As soon as we walk in I told her we have pick up order and then she is like here and ignore us.So I don’t ask any questions and left.I notice it doesn’t come with utensils so I went back in and I asked her can I have utensils and she got mad.She yell at me that next time I have to asked her first.Like if she doesn’t ignore us in the first place and being nice to everyone then maybe there won’t be an issue like this.I didn’t expect them to be polite but at least do what you’re supposed to do in restaurant business. We’re stay in a hotel so we at least need Utensils to eat and we paid for it.This is my first time ever getting treated so bad over utensils.
Good, tasty food. Went in on Wed, ordered 4 things for takeout yet got charged for 5. Not real happy today.
I recommend the Prawns in Golden Blankets.
Excellent food Quick Service
The service was good, but the food was most disappointing: Tofu was dry, curry puffs over fried, soup had a weird aftertaste, chicken dishes were dry and overcooked and the pad thai had no flavor. This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in town, but since this lunch, I'm rethinking my $100 lunches here.
I love this place. Tom kha gai soup is to die for. So delicious almost everything on their menu I've tried has been top-notch. My favorite Thai place in town hands down
Pretty expensive. 18 plus dollars for soup that is 75 percent broth. Was very tasty though.
Great food. Love Tomyum, Basil Rice, golden chicken, green Curry. Great Taste.
They always have great food and don't forget to get the Thai tea 😊 they are super nice as well great customer service.
The Thai food is very authentic and delicious. The portion size is very adequate. Service was slightly slow but that's to be expected in these times with the pandemic. I noticed they were quite busy with their take out orders. Again the food is very delicious!
Food's not bad, but prices are high and portions are small.
This place is perfect, great atmosphere, great service and amazing food!
The duck with eggplant was real good but it should have had more duck in it for $17.
I get panang curry almost every time I order Thai food, and this was by far the best I've ever had. Absolutely amazing
VERY GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE - I AM GOING BACK SOON
A quaint, well decorated little place downtown. It's clean with good service and the food is prepared well.
Dingy outside nice inside. Good food and service
My apologies... This is one of the RARE times I actually started eating the food before actually taking a picture of it... THAT'S how good my dish was!!!! Savory, flavorful, traditional Thai 🇹🇭 ingredients in all its complex and simplistic glory. Just remember to snap a pic BEFORE indulging ☺
Good and spicy. Large menu. Great yellow curry and peanut sauce
Don’t bother anymore! Went from loving this spot to being really disappointed after a recent 2021 visit. We order a shrimp dish and it came out with just two shrimp so we said something. The server checked with the cook and said that they only provide 2 shrimp per dish and he counted them… must be under new cheep ownership or it’s just gone downhill. Go to moo dang down the street
The best Thai in Reno that I've tried so far. Spicy and flavorful not just spicy, not white washed thai. Highly recommend the roti with curry sauce to dip. I do like the peanut sauce at Golden Flower better though.
Extremely fast and friendly service. I was in early but 3 other groups came in and service was also very quick for them.
Food was great but services super slow.
Such a lovely restaurant with a nice ambiance and great food. I had the shrimp thai iced coffee, spring rolls, chicken satay, and pineapple fried rice. All of which were delicious. The staff was very friendly as well. I'd recommend this place for sure!
The customer service was quite good and the food was okay
I used to love coming here. I originally gave it 5 stars but the last two times I went the food wasn't great. I don't know what happened but I had been here a few times and it used to be great. I used to really like the pineapple curry and the spring rolls. I'll probably give it another try eventually.
I love this place, get the fresh spring rolls or the pad woon sen. Lots of other great options too!
Great local restaurant. Good service and great food. This place deserves our support!
Good food reasonable prices but the pandemic has strained their welcoming attitude now that indoor dining is back
Food is low quality, taste is really bad too. It used to be good, but I would never come back again after my last dinner there.
Ordered => Fabulous Spicy Tofu, Medium, After pick up, I see it was chicken, was not able to eat :(
postmates #690, 03/26/21
First the lady at the cash register was the only one working, so service was horrible. Second the food was not even close to authentic Thai, I’m from Surin Thailand and grew up on Authentic Thai. I understand you have to Americanize it to an extent but the food was the worst I’ve had. Beef noodle soup, flavors were way off, meat was wrong and they brought none of the stuff that should come with it, I.e. fish sauce, chili sauce, suracha, vinegar etc... super bland. Ordered Larb and papaya salad with sticky rice, no sticky rice available so they just brought the dishes, did not provide rice at all, had to order for extra steamed rice. Ground chicken in Larb tasted boiled, like warm bland chicken, Papaya salad had a thousand peanuts in it and was sweet, super sweet. Shrimp soup no flavor, asked for fish sauce and they brought about a table spoon of vinegar, asked again and they brought about a teaspoon. Everything served on paper plates leaking juice everywhere. Server did not know what she was serving, no knowledge of Thai food, her response to my questions “I’m not Thai” spent close to 100 bucks and we all ate steamed rice for dinner... lovely
Friendly service. Spring rolls are mostly filler veggies and only have 2 small shrimp. Other than that, Thai Chili is usually consistent.
Such great food. I can always count on Thai chili to come through
Maybe the best Thai in reno, just don't take my word for it. Go spicy or go home!
a little slow but worth the wait.
Everything was AMAZING! The staff was friendly and fast; and the food was soooooooo good. If you are in Reno and love Thai, you need to stop her.
Great food, though a tad pricey.
Everything is so good
Good food.
I've had better a little dry for shrimp pad Thai
This place is amazing! I got a medium Tom Yum Pak soup and it was awesome, the customer service was great and the prices fit the portions. I would definitely eat here again with friends.
I love this place. Great food and customer services that we ever had in a long time!
The peanut forest is amazing this is only my second time trying Thai food and I am in love. Will definitely make it an all the time treat. Service was exemplary. A must visit while in Reno
I ordered their pad see ew to go, and it had absolutely no flavor. The broccoli was basically raw. Very disappointed.
Dinner was good but mango with sticky rice was bad.
Excellent Spring rolls & Pad Thai Beef! We did take out, I don't know what restaurant is like
Good portions. Its was a new place for me coming from Vegas. I got the basil fried rice. Was spicy in tasted great
Pleasant. Fresh and good. I cant wait to try another dish.
Great taste ..large menu will eat there again
Has to be one of the best places in Reno for Thai Food. I've only been there 50 times. Plus they carry Scrimshaw beer. Outstanding!!!
Pumpkin curry is amazing
Terrible food, 30 minute wait when we were one of only two tables. I've had better frozen pad thai!
Won't eat here again!
I have been to Thai Chili in Sacramento CA and it was some of the best Thai food I have ever had so when I saw Thai Lotus was closed on sunday I figured I would try here.
I ordered Pad See Ew with chicken. This is my go to so I am really familiar with it. Their version was edible but far from good. The noodle were all stuck together in a solid block and could not be peeled apart. The chicken was over done and the pieces on the top has so much pepper on them they looked burnt and could not be eaten.
I do not plan on returning here.
Have never once been disappointed by their food and their staff is always friendly and charming. Hands down my favorite restaurant.
Lady at the counter was very nice and warm. Food is pretty good, but I wished it was more “Asian” in preparation & taste.
Very tasty food ! Small joint, only doing take out currently. Will definitely be back.
Excellent service. The Thai teas are perfect! The food was not spicy enough but prepared and packaged with care.
This is my favorite Thai place in town! Must try the cheese puffs and Roti appetizers, and the Thai tea is awesome anf served in huge glasses. Reasonable prices too, haven't found a dish that wasn't great!
Great Pad Thai, decent orange chicken, amazing sticky mango rice. Pretty fair price, and easy takeout order.
Great vegan selection and delicious coconut Thai iced tea
Tom Yam soup was not bad. Drunk noodle was with oil taste.
One of my very favorite Thai food places, taste is authentic, portions are great for the price charged. Best Panag Curry in town!! Hope they survive this COVID 19.
