Women led, local Thai restaurant serving fresh, made-to-order Thai dishes since 1995. Our mission is to offer solid meals in a fuss-free environment. Proudly Thai. Proudly Omahan.
My dad has been coming to this location for a couple of decades, and in my 30+ years of life, I have never had better thai food. The staff always remembers us when we pop in and it always feels like visiting our home away from home when we get a meal here.
Our favorites are always the hot and sour soup, the veggie balls, the fried rice, and the pepper steak.
We decided to try Thai Spice because we love Thai food and it is not far from our house. We were not disappointed! We started with spring rolls, which were fried to perfection. The veggies inside were not mushy and tasted very fresh. The honey chili dipping sauce was amazing!! The yellow curry was delicious and you get a generous portion! The shrimp pineapple curry was delicious as well! We will definitely be back soon and definitely recommend!!
I always get Southwest Chicken
(Chicken potatoes and carrots and onion soup in yellow curry)
Or
Pepper shrimp
Brown sauce soup with veggies
Or
Chicken PadThai
And you must have Thai Tea (it is like a sweet and similar to creamy cold boba tea but it is orange and peanut flavor)
Spicy level in all dishes I get 3, but you might wanna go with level 2 if it’s your first time.
Appetizers:
Chicken Satay
Or
Vegetable balls (shredded veggies in a doughnut type of form that you dip in peanut sauce)
Or spring rolls
Yummmmm
The service was excellent! The food delicious! Me ances my husband have been looking for a good thai restaurant, and we've now found one! The photos were screenshot from a snap video. The thai tea is a must! If you're not big into spicy, i would recommend from 1-10, pick 4 or less. Highly recommend it!
Got the pad Thai chicken and basil chicken from the lunch menu. I'm not a fan of sugary dishes and both were very sweet. The pad thai is what I would describe as ketchup noodles and the basil chicken was both watery and suck-the-moistute-from-your-mouth dry. It wasn't for me.
So good!

Tasty, cheap ( $7.5 for my Noodles with Gravy ) and huge portions, will be coming back!
Carry out for the first time at Thai spice! Great food! Best spring rolls ever!
Our favorite Thai restaurant in town!
First time. Outstanding service and food. I will definitely be back. Should come out and try it. You will not be disappointed.

Food was great, all three of us were highly satisfied.
Delicious made to order vegetarian curry dishes! The substitute bamboo shoots for broccoli no problem. Loved the red and green curry with tofu.
Omaha has a lot of interesting Thai places but we keep coming back here because the food is really good. I particularly like their version of papaya salad or som tum, which can be adjusted in heat level and has a good texture. Spring rolls and all of the other basic noodle dishes and curries are great. Prices are good as well.
Great! one of my favorite restaurants I’ve ever been.
The Southern Chicken lunch was so good. The coconut-curry flavor was perfect. There was a good amount of chicken and potatoes in the dish. I would have liked more peppers in it. If I get it to go, I would put carrots, raisins and more green peppers in it.
One of the worst experience. We ordered a red curry and fried rice. When they ask about feed back we told that fried rice is good and red curry is having some different stale taste. We returned the dish without touching it. The waitress told not to come back and this is how they make the food. Even while paying the bill too they were very rude by pointing out not to come back. If this is how they run a restuarant definitely i would recommend every one to don’t go that thai spice restaurant as the food and atmosphere are worst. They are even arguing when we questioned them saying not to come back. I really had a long day at work, want to eat some good thai food but this is one of worst restaurant and worst staff.
I have eaten here and gotten takeout many times. I have to find a different Thai restaurant to frequent. I treated guests to food from this restaurant a while back, and one got food poisoning as a result. That guest is married to a nurse, so there can be no doubt as to the diagnosis. I also have a terrible time getting a hold of them to order takeout. I have tried 20 minutes before they pick up. Today I left a message at 12:30 for a 5:15 order. I showed up to pick it up, and they hadn't checked their messages when they close down for several hours in the afternoon. Their excuse was that they were busy. That's the worst thing you can say to a customer. You are telling them that you neither have time to serve them nor value their business. I'll just go elsewhere next time and go without Thai food this evening.
Best Thai food in Omaha! Service is always fantastic and food tastes fresh! Please help keep local business thriving. Eat here before you visit a chain restaurant.
My girlfriend’s family have been long time patrons of Thai Spice and you can count me as a fan as well! Very chill, laid back, kind of vintage feeling atmosphere. Quick service and very good food. The shrimp are always huge and delicious! Love the spring rolls and pad Thai too!
I was underwhelmed by the food and service. I also would’ve preferred culturally suited music playing instead of infomercials.
We eat here fairly often and it is always very good. Their lunch specials are inexpensive and more than enough to eat as well as being consistently delicious!
This place has an amazing collection of Thai foods. If you're in to Showering Rama, they have it! They call it Popeye. It's amazing. If you're new to Thai food, I definitely recommend this dish. 10/10☆'s.
Fantastic green papaya salad 💚
Not a fan. We love Thai and eat it a lot. Menu looked good but service was poor. Wouldn't give us individual plates. Made us use plates food was on. Nothing tasted right. Meat was hard to chew. Very salty.
I've eaten at Thai Spice many times over the years and I've never, NEVER, had a bad experience. I've tried almost everything on the menu, my favorite right now is the Popeye.
It was a very gorgeous place, I absolutely loved their Thai tea and Sticky Mango. Their Tofu Rolls with Peanut sauce are amazing as well! Just didn’t like the Pad Thai that’s why I gave it a 4 star the sauce was overly sweet and the noodles were mushy. Besides the pad Thai everything else was amazing! Will definitely be back to try another entree.
My first time here. I will make this a regular stop.
I had the U-Don dinner (I wanted to try the spring rolls and vegetable balls) pad Thai chicken. Also had Tom Kha Gai soup to start. The soup was amazing. The pad Thai was excellent as well.
Their menu is extensive so I’ll be back to try more.
Pad Thai + Chicken, Mango w/ Sweet Rice. Absolutely amazing, delicious and just the right amount of spice. Atmosphere is quaint and cozy. Service during lunch rush was good.
The food is lacking seasoning and spice for Thai food and the spring rolls are filled with 100% cabbage and nothing else. The noodles are overcooked and were a sticky ball of mush. The food that has coconut milk in them is overly sweetened - the food is just OK overall and I wouldn't recommend this place.
Nice people. Food is ok. Far from being the best padthai, although I haven't found a great Thai restaurant in Omaha, yet.
Food was not very spicy😔
Always a great place for delicious food! All my visiting family always want to eat here when they visit. Great food at a great price, always.
This is my favorite place. It’s my comfort food.
We ordered takeout. Nicely seasoned. They had not prepared our order (lost ticket, maybe? ) And quickly got to work on it upon our arrival, which was 20 minutes after we called it in.
Always a great place to eat
Bad food. Not up to authentic thai.. maybe for white people its okay.
Stupid good
Overall the food is great. Service is ok, it would've been great but no hot tea was available. It appears that it would be a great place for carry out not dine in.
Literally the BEST THAI FOOD IN OMAHA! The food is great with great portions and Ms.Brenda makes sure u are happy once you get there and happy when you leave!Bangkok Beef is my favorite but everything that I have tried has been beyond amazing.
The food is as good as any place, but the service was terrible. My order was taken promptly enough over the phone, and was ready on time. The service I received from the front of house staff ruined the entire experience. The were terse, snappy, and unwelcoming. I am a tipper to a fault. That service warranted no tip, whatsoever.
Absolutely love this place! The waitress is my favorite waitress I’ve had at any restaurant. Always leave satisfied and beyond happy. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Always get the Bangkok chicken and chicken satay. I’ve tried many other Thai restaurants and none of them ever compare to how good this place is, always recommend to everyone I know. Major kudos to you guys❤️
Went there while visiting Omaha. Food was very yummy! Order the Bangkok beef, really good lunch deal !!!!!!
Bottom of the barrel when it comes to Thai food in Omaha. Veg curry stir fry was very bland, lacked every flavor you can think of (mainly curry), I had to put salt in it..basically I ate a bowl of white rice and bland veges with salt. The rice was dry as it lacked sauce. The red curry was off, seemed like it had a chicken or vege paste in it and was really greasy. I don’t know wth they gave me, but it wasn’t red curry. On another note…be prepared to be spoken down to in a rushed condescending manner by a woman taking orders over the phone.
Food and service was exceptional
One of the best Thai restaurants in the U.S. Food is tasty and priced like a Fast food.very courteous waiting staff.
Their salads are amazing! Very friendly staff.
Every time we eat here, both takeout and eating in, the food is delicious and the service is prompt and courteous! We love this place!
Great spring rolls!! Get them once a month 😍😍
Always greeted when I walk into the restaurant if they are busy with someone else they will let you know give you a menu so you can be making your decision while they are busy. And the food is fire. I love this place being going here for years.
Good experience.
Best Thai food in Omaha hands down! Gem in Omaha simply put.
Do not go to this restaurant! So disappointed. I ordered some food for pick up but the lady on the phone yelled all the time and pushed me to order quickly. I had some questions on the menu because she told me I have to choose the spicy level from 1-10 and I didn’t know which level is spicy and which is not. but the staff didn't even know about it and kept pushing me to order. Their pad Thai was just noodles with ketchup. I don't even understand why they ask me to choose the spicy level. If the food was good, I could move on but the food was also bad.
Delicious!
It's been awesome Thai food everytime for the last 7 years '
Absolutely amazing food first time trying Thai and I have fallen in love!!
Good Thai in basic ambience. Didn't get it as spicy as requested, but overall quality was very good.
Food was not that good this first time ate here gave me really bad heartburn hiccups staff working seemed friendly....
Their services okay the food is delicious I go back every so often cuz I live out of town if I was closer I may be there more often
wow. really great Thai food. Left there full and satisfied.
It's a staple in my life I've been going there since I was in 6th grade pineapple fried rice Thai iced tea with sweet rice and mango heat level 3
My all time favorite Thai restaurant! Generous portions, developed and complex flavors, and excellent customer service.
So,. Curry powder and cayenne do not make a proper Thai curry. Disappointed. Tablemates commented on pad Thai being too sweet. Server seemed over whelmed with managing three to four tables and take out. Not recommended.
Consistently great!!
Very good meal even quicker service very friendly and polite service . I frequent them quite often
Excellent staff, follows safety guidelines, clean, great food, great experience.
Thai Spice is amazing. Always trying something different. The spring rolls with the honey chili sauce are so good. My go to from this establishment is the chicken fried rice with extra chicken, and level 6 spice.
Fresh &delicious!
Love Thai Spice. I took my boyfriend there for the 1st time and he loved it, too!
Buy far the best place in Omaha.
Good portions but very bland.
The food was disappointing. We threw it all away after several bites. It was bland. Maybe we should have order with more spice level but I don't think that would have helped it much.
My favorite Thai place. Inexpensive and great food. Nice little family owned restaurants.
Always good... lots of ways to eat vegan, also...
Outstanding service and food, love this place!
I always have a very tasty neal 8+ on the heat scale great
Thai Spice is my go-to Thai place, and has been for over ten years. The vegetable balls are amazing! The staff is happy to customize your order if you have special requests, and they always have the food ready on time if you order takeout.
Excellent food
A friend and I went the for the first time and ordered the shrimp pad thai... it was so freaking good! I was surprised at how large the shrimp were and they were cooked perfectly. We just wish they served duck too! I’ll definitely be going back to try more dishes.
Words cannot Express how happy Thai Spice makes me. Amazing food, great staff, BEST Pad Thai EVER!!
Great food, quick service, and pleasant atmosphere. The vegetable balls are fantastic!
I dont think they hear about spice level ask for spice 3 and you get burning hot food with chilli sauce
Delicious food, clean, and fast and friendly service.
The food we ordered was named as spicy noodle and few other dishes and told them to make it spicy, but the food we got was so sweet. The service is so bad. The lady over there is so arrogant. We have never had this bad experience in any restaurant.
Veggie balls are awesome! Love the soup and curry. Drunk noodles all day long!
Awesome restaraunt ....good food and service with smiles
My favorite Thai restaurant in town. Stop as often as I can. Very friendly.
Great food, awesome lunch deals. Never spend more than 10 dollars for lunch here.
First time ordering. I got a 2 star phad Thai and spring rolls.
The Phad Thai was about as flavorful as cardboard. No spice whatsoever, lots of bland noodles, and that’s it. That was my dish. The chicken was good in it but the rest was absolutely flavorless noodles.
The spring rolls are what’s getting two stars. They were pretty decent.
I’m struggling to find a good place for Phad Thai around here.
Excellent food and service
Best curries in town, even before mother India and kurry Xpress changed ownership. The curries are thicker and really tasty, I recommend the Bangkok Chicken and the Southern Chicken.
Love this little local place. Food is great, nice staff.
Good food great prices friendly staff
My fave Thai place in Omaha. Super fast and friendly service. Each entree comes with spring roll and a veggie ball. Thai basil and drunken noodles are my go-tos but everything is delish.
A1
Ordered takeout. Food was ready when we arrived and still hot when we got home. Spring rolls were great. Best yellow curry that I’ve had in quite a while. Also had the ginger beef that was excellent.
Delicious, friendly, and spicy! Can't wait to go back.
Wonderful food for my first time having Thai. It was wonderful to my eat-anything palate, in any case.
The chicken satay was AMMMMAZING and great with Pad Thai. This will be my regular spot.
Consistently great Thai food.
I've only gone once but it was so good that I will never forget it! Amazing!
Pretty disappointing. Though our fault, we forgot to specify spiciness, so that meant everything was about as spicy as ketchup, not good for Thai food. Pad Thai said it comes with chicken and we paid extra to add shrimp, but only got shrimp. Pad Thai was way too sweet. No lime, fish sauce or fried flavors, like it was mixed in a bowl. Papaya salad also was missing the funkiness from fish sauce and I had to add my own. Red curry was tolerable. No Thai tea when we ordered online. Will definitely do Salween instead next time.
New favorite Thai restaurant in Omaha
My favorite Thai food in Omaha and you can’t beat the price. Looking forward to seeing the renovations. Good luck.
Their Pad Thai had very little in the way of vegetables but it had lots of noodles. We added shrimp which were plentiful and very tasty. The Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice was really bad. The chicken was old and dry, so basically inedible. The peas were shriveled and tasteless. Fresh Spring rolls were good but lukewarm to cold. I have eaten in the restaurant before and was never disappointed like this. Maybe they don't try as hard for take-out?!
Really good food and fast and friendly service.
Very flavorful!
Always awesome... love
Best Thai food in town. Try the Popeye chicken with broccoli instead of spinach. Incredible
Always the best. Authentic Thai cuisine .
Excellent food and service
Everything was hot and fresh. Very tasty food. Pick your own level of spice.
Very good food and friendly service! Definitely recommend!
Tasted drunken noodles which is awesome
Fast service and comfortable atmosphere. The food was excellent, although not as spicy as I anticipated.
Wonderful food and desserts! Great service!
Looks like a hole in the wall, but food and service is great
Fast service. . And was suprisingly real good for this picky eater! First time trying thai and the sauce was great.
Great fopd
Good place, fast service, good food.
Good food
Chicken pad Thai heat level 10
Nice variety of food. Has lunch menu with smaller servings. Eating there every 3-4 weeks. Has fresh, not fried, spring rolls. Also love the "vegetable balls."
Loved the pad Thai. Everything tasted delicious. Service was exceptional! We will definitely be back.
The food was good but there was only one person serving. Should be more customer friendly.
This was my daughter's first time eating Thai food. She loved it. We went with a milder spice just in case and it was perfect. The server was friendly, atmosphere very Thai, and food excellent. We aren't big eaters and shared fresh rolls as an appetizer, a spinach and peanut chicken dish over Jasmine rice, and fresh mango over coconut sweet rice. I am stuffed and we even had leftovers. Only thing that was distracting was a big TV playing up on the wall. I know some people like that but we aren't used to it.
Great Thai food prepared quickly. Great spot for lunch.
I have nothing bad to say about this place. My wife and I go here every time we want thai. They have the best spring rolls hands down. The chicken pad thai is delicious. We usually get a spice level six.
Great restaurant! We were ordering the papaya salad and the owner notified us that it’s not really Thai papaya salad, but somewhat Americanized. Much appreciated! We will definitely come back.
Super nice people and the best Thai food I've ever had.
Great food and service. One of my fav parts is when they ask you how spicy you want your food on scale of 1 to 10. It's bomb.
