This was my first time trying Thai Esarn - it was very good. I ordered delivery - food was packed nicely and still warm on arrival. I had the pineapple fried rice (which is my go to Thai dish at each Thai restaurant I visit). I got a spice level 2 - I like a mild to medium spice, I should have at least ordered spice level 3. The 2 had barely any spice/kick to it. This was not my favorite pineapple fried rice, although it was very delicious and I will order again. It had a bit more of a sweet taste to it - I prefer a saltier soy sauce when used with fried rice dishes. I also got the fried dumplings that were great! I do prefer a gyoza or dumpling sauce as opposed to the sweet & sour or sweet chili sauce that they come with. I love Thai food, so this place had a lot to live up to, but overall I feel it was good food and will try again.

Yummy, delicious, and reasonably priced! The waiter was polite, friendly, and quick. The sweet rice with ice cream was the strangest dessert, but I'm so enamored by it. Sweet, crunchy, cold, creamy and warm...Overall top notch place! Definitely worth a visit!

I have eaten here several times over the last year and each time is just as good as the last. Great portion size for the money. Tasty entrees and especially delicious coconut soup! Always clean tables and friendly attentive staff. I never feel rushed while dining here no matter how busy they are. The Thai tea is a super tasty too! They have some holiday dining opportunities during the year as well that include dancers and music! Will def return!

Excellent local Thai restaurant in the Pepperwood area. Would highly recommend if in town looking for Thai. Clean restaurant, excellent and friendly service, delicious menu.

Thier southern yellow curry chicken is possibly the greatest thing I have ever eaten, absolutely incredible.

I originally came to this place when the coffee shop I wanted to go to closed at 1. I dealt with the cold of the winter for a while, as I tried to find somewhere to stay before my dad would pick me up. I found this place - and only God himself could create a series of circumstances to take me here. This restaurant is glorious! Perfect Thai cuisine and a great relief from the cold of the winter.

Delicious food & amazing workers. Everyone was so sweet right when we walked in the door. The food was so good, especially the crab rangoon & vegetable stir fry with brocolli. The restaurant was very clean as well.

Best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been too! Appetizers and main entrees were both phenomenal!! Highly recommend the crab Rangoons, fried pork dumplings, and the tempura shrimp for appetizers! Then for the main meal, I highly recommend the yellow curry and basil rice with pork! If you want a soup instead of appetizers, you must try the coconut soup! Great service, truly topped off our experience!

I love this place. I love the vegetarian delight and wish I could replicate the sauce at home. Like I’d barter my soul for the recipe. All the appetizers are good and so is the pad Thai! I’ve liked everything I’ve tried here. Also, it’s spotless in the dining room and great service.

Set out to get Thai food today and the place I went to was no longer there a gentleman in the parking lot suggested Thai Esarn.... Never been here but I definitely will remember it and will be back.... the flavors will titillate the tongue and the craving!!!

Best Thai in Omaha!! My husband and I come here very often and have never left unsatisfied. Drunken noodle, fresh spring roll, fresh tofu and all are amazing! We also enjoy Thai teas on occasion. Worth the wait if ever they are busy. Josh and all the servers are awesome!

Great spot! The atmosphere was nice, the service was impeccable. I ordered the pineapple curry at a spice level of 1. The spice level I was served tasted like a 3 or 4. I was also disappointed that the pineapple on the curry was from a can. I couldn't finish it due to the spice level but other than that it was delicious.

Food is good. The size keeps getting smaller every time I go. And they are closed every time I try to go.

We ordered delivery. We had the Broccoli Stir Fry, Appetizer Combo, Classic Fried Rice and Tempura Shrimp for our family. Everthing was hot and fresh. The shrimp are plump and have a great texture. The app combo has a variety of tasty treats. The white meat chicken was flavorful and tender in the broccoli stir fry, and so was the beef in the fried rice. They prepared the order to our preferences. This is hands down our favorite spot for Thai! Thank you!

If you want a rice or noodle dish drowning in soy sauce, then this is your place. Never before have I had thai fried rice and pad thai so dark brown because it's literally soaked in soy sauce. Both dishes were overwelmingly salty and unedible!! Go anywhere else and your heart will thank you.

We haven't been there for a few years. Decided to try it out again. Seemed like they are under new ownership or management. Regardless, they have really stepped up their game since the last time in. I had the red curry. It was awesome. Wife had cashew chicken. The sauce was some kind of chili paste (no soy sauce either) . It was outstanding. Can't wait to go back to try other things on the menu. Highly recommend!

Solid Thai food.

The food here is great! We've been here twice now and each time the food was as expected. If you try it out you have to get the vegetable balls, just keep in mind they're not actually balls. Will definitely be back!

Omaha has excellent Thai restaurants, and Thai Esarn is among the best. The food is fantastic, fresh, and spicy (but you can order a “zero” spice), and you really have to go to appreciate how good their service is. They are an absolute Go-To for us, stick with green curry, veggie combo curry, or get a bit adventurous and you won’t be disappointed. They are a regular Friday night takeout for us… I love this place, and they deserve 6 stars.

Service was prompt & cheerful on a busy Saturday night. Appetizers were tasty & delicately crisp, w/a lovely sweet chili sauce that was not like thinned jelly. Entrees were generous & flavorful, chock full of one's choice of protein, vegetables, & sauce. Best of all, mango rice: dish-licking good!

First timer. Excellent food. I ordered the garlic chicken mild. The dish was unique as it had plenty of garlic, including fresh and dried garlic on top. They were not skimpy on the portion size or the amount of chicken which was mixed with bamboo shoot, peppers, broccoli, and carrots. Just a mouthful of delicious flavor. Came with a hearty side of steamed twice. I picked it up, but the food was still hot and the workers were friendly. I will be back.

My mom was born and raised in Thailand, so we always look for local authentic Thai food and this has been our go to for years now! The food is great, the service is wonderful, we love it!

The service was VERY SLOW. There was One waitress for the whole place; I'm not sure how many cooks in the kitchen, but the food took awhile too. However, the food is delicious; obviously it comes out piping hot, and is very flavorful. I also have to say that the amount of food you get (at lunch) is huge, probably 3x the amount I get at another Thai restaurant.

This place is a gem! Speedy service and delicious food. We had the Thai beef noodle soup, seafood curry noodles, and pad Thai. All entrees were expertly prepared and perfectly spiced. We will be back!

I am a huge fan of Thai food, but this was way too sweet. Everything I had tasted like it was doused in simple syrup. Had the coconut soup & pad thai and I couldn't finish either. Makes me sad, but I probably won't try it again.

The Thai Beef Noodle Soup is out of this world good. I'm not being dramatic or exaggerating when I say that I request it for dinner about 5 times a week. Also, we only order take out - the food stays hot AND maintains its quality even though we have to drive 25 minutes to get it back home.

The food is always good and the service is spot on. Careful on the spice level, 5 has a good kick. I've been too much of a whimp to go past 7 on the heat scale.

I went to pick up an order that was submitted online. They had told me it would be ready at a certain time. I was lied to three times by three different employees. I had to wait 15 minutes plus before I received my order. I was told there were other orders placed after mine that take precedence over my online order. Will not order online there nor step foot in this place again.

Wish I Could give zero star for the RUDE behavior of the chef when we said that the dish wasn’t the way we asked for. He asked to either to-go or they throw it and still charge for the food.

If someone is looking for heavily Americanized That food, this is a great option. It’s not authentic but a fair introduction to Thai flavors if someone is anxious about trying Thai and doesn’t want to go too far out of American food. Unfortunately we do prefer authentic so this was a very poor match for our expectations.

Staff was great and everything came out in a timely manner, however the only food that was any good were the appetizers. I ordered the Chicken Curry noodles and my husband got the Chicken Pad Thai. When they brought out the Pad Thai, my husband noticed that it smelled very off and after trying it, I noticed it tasted like something had gone bad on it. We decided to send it back and they were very courteous about it and didn't charge us.

We ended up splitting the curry noodles but they were so salty we didn't finish the plate.

Overall, everyone there was very kind and friendly but our food experience was not very good.

A hidden gem. There is wonderful camaraderie amongst the staff the Food was excellent and it was a true delight to be there. They are also very good at adjusting the heat value of your food from 0 to 10.

The staff I encountered were super friendly, food was ready for pick up right when I needed it and the noodles stayed hot the whole drive home. My appetizers were all delicious. I really wanted to try the green drink but they were sold out, maybe next time!

First time coming here and will definitely be back! We ordered the egg rolls as a starter and then we got the Chicken Pad Thai, southern curry, and fried rice with pork which was all amazing. We were surprised with how big the portions were! Not only was the food great but also the service. Shout out to Connie who helped us decide what to order and made us laugh the whole time. Best Thai in Omaha. We have closer Thai restaurants, but we make the longer drive. It’s 100% worth it! I found other restaurants starting to reduce the amount of meat in their curries, not Thai Esarn. Curries are best I’ve had in town.

This place might be a little deceptive at first when you're greeted by two Americans, but I assure you, the food is being prepared by Masters of their Craft. This is THE BEST Thai food I've had in Omaha. I've been eating all sorts of Asian cuisines including Burmese, Nepalese, etc. This is truly a GEM and I highly recommend you put it on your bucket list when you're looking for something exquisite.

Great food with BOLD flavors and fresh ingredients. The Pad Thai is delicious while the Red Curry at a spice level 9 is my wife's favorite. Even my kids love the chicken fried rice with some spice. The owners are very kind and you can tell they love what they do.

Stopped here on a whim, pleasantly surprised with offerings on menu. Our waiter was extremely patient with us as we decided on our heat scale. 2 was perfect for the wonderfully seasoned Pineapple Chicken Curry. What a treat for my tastebuds on such a cold day (8°). My boyfriend had Green Curry Shrimp and enjoyed every bite. We will certainly be back, can't wait. Thank you for sharing your talents !

Best coconut soup with chicken. OMG so good!!! I also love the basil rice. My mother can't get enough of the cashew chicken.

Literally the best Thai Food in Omaha. I have no idea which Karen on here gave this place a 1 star review but they are clearly delusional. Fantastic customer service and even better food! This place will not let you down I promise you!

Definitely won't go back. The waitress actually pulled up a chair and slumped down in it to take our order. She said it was nap time. After we ordered we waited 35 minutes for our appetizer! They brought out undersized portions of chicken satay. The peanut sauce was gloppy with oil pooled in the divets. We waited another 20 minutes for our entrees! They brought out three of them and then the fourth 20 minutes later. Everyone at the table was nearly done with their meal by the time mine arrived. When i did get it, it was wrong. I requested a 3 for spice. My son requested a 5 and my dish was at least 20% hotter. Everyone at the table tasted it to confirm. I went up to tell them and the guy sarcastically said, "umm, ok, i guess I'll remake it. I'll be sure to put down 0 for spice." I told him I didn't want 0, I wanted three. He didn't answer. I went back to sit down and 7 minutes later he came and took my dish away and told me he make another. I'd had enough. I told him to forget it. Take it off the bill. I was ready to go. I will never go back. Terrible service. Unprofessional. Average food. The waitress was also coughing with her mouth uncovered on tables she was clearing. Probably one of the worst eating experiences I've had here in Omaha.

I've had plenty of Thai food in my life and I can honestly say that this restaurant is by far the best Thai food around. Highly recommend the Esarn rice, very delicious! The portions are quite big too, I've had leftovers for days!

We came out to celebrate our daughter's graduation 🥰. We have the Pad Thia, Garlic specialty a total favorite of mine, pineapple rice, Popeye chicken specialty, and chicken noodles, Thai tea, Tia coffee, passion fruit tea drinks were refreshing 😋
And to finish with there famous Mango sticky Rice.
A must stop if you are over this way. You will not be disappointed 🥰🥰🥰😍 Our new favorite spot!!!

Very impressed by this place. My buddy picked up the to go order for us so I cannot attest to that process but the eggplant tofu red curry was insanely delicious. I ordered a 3 (I would say I have average Midwestern white person spice tolerance) and it was perfectly spicy. Rice was also cooked to perfection which is a great bonus. Can’t wait to order again soon.

Ok food and high price

I was looking online for a good place for Thai and came across this restaurant. It was delicious and their portions are generous! And when I asked for box for my curry they gave me extra rice for the road!! And they actually make their food over 10 if asked for !!

This is a favorite for my husband and I. We discovered it when we moved into the area and have become regulars. We typically get the same thing (southern noodles and red curry) but have branched out and tried several dishes. Everything has been delicious and the portions are very generous. We have introduced friends and family to this place as well and everyone has been very impressed! We love supporting local restaurants, especially during the pandemic, but Thai Esarn will continue to be a staple for us as long as we live here.

Got take-out; staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered the crispy tofu appetizer and Thai ramen with chicken. Both were delicious! The broth/creamy base of the ramen was especially tasty. Very good!

We tried Thai Esarn in Pepperwood Village off 156th and Dodge. One word to describe it would be Amazing. If there was a word that took amazing and multipled by 10.. you’d be close to describing how good the food and service was. The gentleman that worked with our server described everything in detail and was very pleasant. We dined in and felt very comfortable doing so. If you are a Ramen fan, try it here, huge and the flavor is out of this world. We also loved the Pineapple Curry. We are curry snobs and this was by far one of the best If not the best. The Pad Thai was very good as well!! A++++

Spice eating dead on!

Ordered takeout recently. Such a friendly greeter / cashier! Felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer. I also felt like there was a lot of attention to cleanliness in light of COVID-19, which I also appreciated. Even though food took a little longer than expected, it was well worth the wait and the greeter was so kind as to bring us free drinks while we waited. Will be back again!

Great Food - Great Service! I actually had never tried Thai food before stopping in to eat at Thai Esarn, I was very impressed with the selection on the menu, service and portions. The food is made to order, and made as hot or mild as you would like. The appetizers are wonderful, We had the crab rangoon and the spring rolls.
The resturant is very clean, and comfortable to dine in. There is so much to choose from on the menu, and its all good!
