Thai Food, Asian Food, Vegetarian option, Seafood Option. Kid friendly environment
The service was very slow, there were only 2 other people dinning but I think they were more busy with take out orders. The phone kept ringing and there were people in and out picking up food.
After ordering our food the waiter (owner I think) never came back to our table to check and refilled water. We tried to flag him down so we can get a to-go box but he never once looked over and just kept on with his business. He was busy at the desk and there were other people who came in and waited a good 10-15 minutes before they placed their orders and I can hear all the whining, huffing/puffing and complaining from their table while waiting to pay which took another 7-9 mins standing in line.
Overall the food was food and the boat noodle had an authentic flavor and you can tell its just a small family own business but they should get some additional help.
We ordered take out and were blown away by the quality of food, the coconut shrimp was amazing and they poked little holes in the top of the to go container so it stayed crispy until it got to us. Mango Rangoon and red curry were other standouts, they have generous veggie portions and the veggies are perfectly cooked. Thanks Laos, we’ll be back!
Love this hole in the wall Thai restaurant! The outside of the building looked worn and the open signs weren't on, but the restaurant was indeed open. It was so clean on the inside, the menus and options were great, and the food was hot and fresh! Prices are similar to other Thai restaurants. You've got to try the mango crab rangoons, so good!
I was driving from CA to PA and stopped here, not expecting great Thai food in Nebraska. This place is amazing. They make their own curry paste as you can see the ground up lemongrass and spices at the bottom. So good...this is the real deal if you know Thai food. Highly recommended.
A bit of food diversity in South O. I'd put this old school, OG, Thai spot up against most others in town.
The yellow curry is superb.
10's across the board. We came in on a busy evening with only 1 server available and still were served quickly and kindly. I want to emphasize how lovely these people are- we unintentionally chatted our way up to closing time before realizing our mistake and not once did they try to push us out (even though we would have understood if they had).
We had a little bit of everything that night and I can honestly say it's all worth trying! The serving sizes are generous with plenty to take home, too. For appetizers- spring rolls and coconut shrimp are the move. Highly, highly recommend. I'm a sucker for a thai tea & I was not disappointed on that front either.
Overall, lovely experience! I'm becoming a regular, trust and believe.

Yum!!
Incredible Thai food. Incredible. We ordered pineapple fried rice, drunken noodles with shrimp and chicken panang curry. All amazing.

Super cute and super tasty, even after nuking the leftovers the following day.
Server was very attentive and prices made me feel like I had a secret.
This place is amazing
AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Food not good
I ordered take out through a delivery app and ordered the pad kee mao (drunken noodles), mango rangoons, crispy spring roll, and Thai iced tea. I love Thai food and I usually try to order Thai once a week. Everything was included in my order and was warm and fresh on arrival! My noodles were not too spicy and were full of flavor. It was a very generous portion size, it’ll likely feed me as lunch or dinner for 2-4 days.
Personally, I did think the noodles were a bit dry. I’m not sure if they soaked up the sauce en route to my home, but if you’ve never had pad kee mao, it’s not a very saucy dish so I wasn’t expecting loads of sauce. It also didn’t contain broccoli, which I feel like most restaurants do. I would have enjoyed more vegetables and broccoli in the noodles. They’re also what I would consider the “typical noodle” for Thai take out. I usually think of the really wide rice noodles (like 1 inch wide and rolled thin) and these were a thinner straight cut noodle (maybe 1/3 inch wide). Still delicious, just different!
The rangoons didn’t have a lot of mango flavor inside but that might be a plus if you’re looking for your classic crab rangoons and they had chunks of crab (or imitation crab?) in them rather than just cream cheese. My spring rolls and Thai tea were both perfect! I am a vegetarian but I do sometimes eat seafood and this was very vegetarian friendly with plenty of tofu options.
Overall, wonderful Thai food and a great opportunity to support a local business, and their dishes are bit different than some of the other local Thai restaurants.
🔥🔥🔥
It's a hidden gem. My family loved it.
Be careful when ordering your heat level! I absolutely love this place and think their Pad Thai is the best! One time I ordered the heat level a 7 (out of 10) And we could not eat the food it was SO HOT!
This was my first time here it won't be my last I really njoyed it! Try it if you have an open platlet like my the food is fresh flavorful no meat opinions! 😋
Good Food. Hospitable and generous.
Great food, friendly staff, & a very clean restaurant!
Hands down one of the top 2-3 Thai restaurants in Omaha. We practically come here every week we can’t stay away. The yellow curry is PERFECT and it’s my favorite dish there. My husband’s favorite is the Tohm Kah coconut soup. He also loves a lot of the stir fry dishes. The service could be quicker however, we usually only see one chef and one server manning the whole restaurant. On busy days/times, you may wait a little longer for food. The staff is always very friendly and they recognize us when we come in. Highly recommend.
Such a wonderful gem! Learned of Laos Thai from a friend's recommendation and can't thank them enough. The service and food are always top notch. If I lived closer I would be a regular for sure!!!
I typically tend to venture only in downtown or midtown Omaha for dining, but this outing was worth it! The restaurant is located not too far from downtown/midtown areas. The service was nice and the vibe was pleasant (relaxing, modern feel with a touch of Thai). The cuisine from Thailand seemed delicious. It was well presented. Nice selection for vegetarians (like me) and those who are not afraid to handle spices. Overall, a delightful experience. Go try it out.
The best Thai I’ve had in Omaha. The tom kha soup is delicious, and we had the custard with sweet rice which was super good! This is going to be one of our favorites.
AMAZING!!!!
EXTRA SPICY⚠️
Incredible food. Had the drunken noodles, pad thai, fresh rolls, and chicken wings. I'm not sure about authentic since I've never been to Laos or Thailand, but I can say this food is top notch and homemade excellence. Very clear the sauces and such were made from scratch and the flavor was unique and not cookie cutter versions of the dishes. This will be my standby Thai spot.
Food was great, took about half an hour to get our food after we ordered. Otherwise, service was also excellent. Very good portion size for the price
The service was very slow, there were only 2 other people dinning but I think they were more busy with take out orders. The phone kept ringing and there were people in and out picking up food.

Credit card is good here and place is a little old inside but the food makes up for it. The Pad Thai was really good with the garlic crumbs on top.
Food very hot. Even number 3 couldn't eat it. Spring rolls are excellent
Really good Green Curry 😋
Fantastic fresh food. Amazing flavors. Pretty quick service. Just okay atmosphere. But you won't care because of the food. Really good sauces and accompaniments. The mango Rangoon is fire. Parking is difficult.
DE-lish! Very attentive and KIND service.
I was a little hesitant eating here because of the recent reviews but let me tell y'all, this place is awesome. Best drunken noodles and lemon grass stir fry we've ever had. Great food
We went here for lunch yesterday and had a wonderful experience. Service was quick and our waitress was attentive and polite. The food we ordered was delicious and generously portioned. I had the Beef Ball Noodle Soup (Kuay Teay Naum Luok Cin Nuea) which was similar to Pho and very tasty. My partner had the Pineapple fried rice and will probably get three meals out of it with the leftovers! All in all a wonderful experience and we will be back.
It’s very authentic fresh. You don’t want to miss out. Service is great.
Absolutely the best Thai in town, excellent service, and the green curry is by far the best I've had.
Loved my first visit and will be back! I had vegetable red curry and mango rangoon. Everything was delicious! I can't wait to try something new next time. Great service, kind people.
You are my favorite tai place in Omaha !!!
This restaurant is in a sketchy area.
Walked up & it was closed when Google says it was open.
Waste of driving 7 miles there on expensive gas, arriving in the hood!
Had to park in the back.
Sidewalks had broken glass every where.
Got a to-go order. Food was fantastic! I ordered the red Thai curry. So flavorful! Probably the best red curry I had In the thai atmosphere
Sincere! Food was delicious. I had the Thai Beef Salad very hot, the fried spring rolls, and the chicken Satay...you know the one with peanut butter sauce. Rather enjoyed this place and price was average. Definitely will be back when in town.
Great people and a good food!!
Legit Laotian food! Authentic and spicy! Will definitely be coming back here once I’m back in town!
The perfect local spot for Thai food! Really refined flavor profiles and a great family place. Awesome!
So yummy!
I always have a good time when I order from there.
My family was driving across the country and after having a nightmarish experience at Sidney, NE, we wanna get out of NE asap. We stopped by this Thai restaurant, wasn’t expecting much, but turned out finding an absolute gem! Every dishes we ordered exceed expectations. The noodle used to make the pad Thai and noodle soup was top notch, and I’ve tried many Thai restaurants all over the world. The waitress and I believe the owner was extremely nice people and had a good chat. A great experience, will definitely come back again when I get the chance!
The mango racoon and drunken noodles are excellent! The Tom yum has so much flavor too. When you ask for 🔥🥵 it will be
Best Thai in Omaha - hands down. Great traditional dishes and excellent menu selection.
Fast Pickup
Absolutely amazing food and very friendly service will be back again soon
Favorite Thai food! Never disappoint
Delicious!!
Awesome food. Large quantities. Worth the price.
Very good, food and service . Want to go back, when in town
This restaurant must’ve changed hands and we didn’t even know it. I tried to keep an open mind and give them the benefit of doubt, but something has changed in the last two years or so. We’ve been probably 5 or 6 times and Uber’d delivery a couple times and the amounts get less and less, while the price gets more and more. A Thai Beef Salad added 6 shrimp and a Thai tea came to $39. That’s quite high considering there use to be so much more to this salad. We used to come here and eat in. The salads were on a oval plate and was heaping with lettuce cucumbers, tomatoes and red onions with green onions or scallions. Now, you can barely see the lettuce. Nor is It heaping. The rice was so dry and hard, more than half of the rice was almost translucent. Myself being a rice l, eater born and raised, this looked to be day old rice that was microwaved. No moisture whatsoever. We sprinkled it on our wooden table and you could hear the “tink, tink, tink” of the rice hitting the table.
Not only was their salad nowhere near what it used to be, but it was more sweet than the umami we remembered it used to be. The salad was sweeter than their Thai Tea. I’m just so disappointed and feel hosed.
Great people. Always fast and friendly service.
The worst Thai food experience I ever had. I don’t recommend wasting your money on it. If you really want to try Thai food go check out Mai Thai in Aksarben.
Amazing food and amazing service!
Sadly I had a very bad experience with this place. I ordered a vegetable stir fry and it came out in a “soup” carton and half liquid.
The worst part was when he asked me how spicy out of 5, I said 3, assuming it would be medium and I can handle a decent level of spice.
Well it was 5/5 so spicy my mouth is still burning on fire even 5 min after I could barely eat half of it. Wow so horrible.
I’m not even going to go in to complain or ask for another because this is a mom and pop place and I can tell by his personality that the older owner will just give me a blank look like, ok that’s your problem you didn’t like it. Now I have to go to another place for dinner.
Best pad Thai in town. Super fresh and made to order
Service was Wonderful and the food was Amazing!!!
Tried noodles in this place after looking at the review but was disappointed. The broccoli noodles was horrible and tasteless. I had many Thai food before but this is the worst and the price is so expensive.
Yummy yummy!
I was driving from CA to PA and stopped here, not expecting great Thai food in Nebraska. This place is amazing. They make their own curry paste as you can see the ground up lemongrass and spices at the bottom. So good...this is the real deal if you know Thai food. Highly recommended.
Sooo good. I really loved their papaya salad and drunken noodles. Spice level is perfect, we asked for very spicy. Food is authentic… it’s a hidden gem. Go try it!
Wow... All I got to say is that was amazing Thai food. Almost every option can be made vegan and they even have a vegan dessert! Crazy! I had the sweet and sour stir fry and it was phenomenal. So spicy which I like. They also ask you how spicy you want it. Just overall a great restaurant, friendly staff as well. On my way out I was given tofu spring rolls because they had left over tofu from our dish and they just decided to give us that. Great experience and completely recommend.
Delicious favorites.
We ordered fresh spring rolls, basil fried rice with chicken (medium hot) and poor man noodles with chicken as well (hot). Meals were plentiful and savory. The spring rolls tasted really fresh. In regard to the heat level, in our humble opinion, the hot level may overwhelm one's palate. I think low or medium heat is good. Lunch prices are average and comparable to other Thai restaurants prices of this area. Pretty fast and servers were helpful.
Excellent food and service! I recommend this place to anyone who loves real Thai food!
Excellent Thai food
Kinda just average. Parking may be a problem at certain times. Friendly staff. It is an old building so not the most aesthetic.
Worst pad thai! Noodles were so dry. Seasoning was awful
Fun little family resteraunt. Food is great and authentic. The owners are very nice. Parking is a little tough. Bring change for the meter.
Great food had fresh spring rolls, chicken satay, pad thai, yellow curry it was great it did take awhile to come out.
Very good
Maybe it was a bad day, or pandemic related...but this was not good. We ordered the pho, some fresh spring rolls, the pad Thai, and a papaya salad. The spring rolls were mostly lettuce, and not even fresh lettuce at that. (Pretty sure it was old, back of the fridge lettuce) The papaya salad just didn’t taste fresh and lacked flavor. The pad Thai (oh wow) you would think it was a day old and reheated, it was so dry that the noodles were sticking together in large hunks. The pho was ok, but the meat in it was over cooked and it was just rather bland. I never post reviews, but for how expensive this place was, I was really expecting a much better experience. Like I said, it may have just been an off day, hopefully I’m right for y’all’s sake.
My favorite Thai place in Omaha.
I discovered Laos when I was Googling for "Thai" food. This area lack Asian-foods so it's nice to see another restaurant catering to that need. I was really craving a beef Pad Thai, so that's what I went with. Ordered it with a 4/10 spicy and it had an OK kick to it if you'd like something milder-spicy (still comfortable to eat). The dish itself was pretty ok, nothing fancy. If you come here I'd highly recommend getting some Crispy Spring Rolls as well, you won't regret it. I'll make sure to try some house specials next time I come here.
Really good food I enjoyed it.
Just ordered ubereats with them and got my food, oh my God this place is awesome I love their food it's very delicious and plenty of portions I'll come back here everytime to eat
Bad experience, why you may ask well i don't speak there thai so i pronounced the noodles wrong but i specifically describe the one i wanted i told him i want the fat noodle and i asked if he understands me he said YES when i got there to pick up my order guess what type of noodles i received... You guess it the skinny ones😀 that's all i had to do...
Great food! Very nice people. One beautiful woman that I have a crush on 😆
Very pricey! 1st time and I paid 38$ and only got some small platters. The food was good but the price is bad. The best Thai food in Omaha is Salween Thai thank me later.
Apps weren't perfect, but best drunken noodles in Omaha.
Don’t even think - just come here and order Thai boba tea and spring rolls and Tom kah Gai.
Oh and also pad Thai.
And when you feel complete you’ll see the bill and realize this is the most amount of happiness on the dollar in America.
The cuisine is authentic and the decor is great.
Love this place! Have been coming here since a kid highly recommend.
Very good. Try the soup.
Authentic and delicious. Just great food. Very unpretentious with genuine people. Try the pho and spring rolls.
Good food, very friendly atmosphere. If you're not used to dt parking, and some crazy noncaring drivers, you may have to walk a few blocks; but I loved the place!
Not everything on the menu is a diamond, but those Spring rolls, though... Amazing how such a simple recipe can taste so good (and be really hard to duplicate at home).
The Green curry is also pretty darn good, but the restaurant has a problem with consistency.
Pat Thai wasn’t so good.. it was too oily and too sweet.
This place used to have the best Asian food ever. Several months ago we tried several times to go again but it was always closed. We went yesterday afternoon and my food was inedible. The Crispy Spring rolls were not good and the Glass Noodle entree was nothing like it used to be. Does it have new owners???
the best i've had in Omaha
Flavor
Great food very spicy but sooo good
Wasn't what i thought. Not as good as i thought it would b .Tooo expensive .I had to pay extra for meat. An when i did. I had 3 peaice s of chicken. Small tiny peaices. I had to pay extra if i wanted fried rice . it wasn't worth the 26 + i payed .Don't now if ill go back .its close. Maybe if im super Hungary
Absolutely the best Thai food. Fresh. Homemade to order. Rarely busy. Looks awful on the outside but the little hole in the wall places are bomb
My meal was ok there was a bone in my sausage half of our chicken wings were raw and bloody in our appetizer ,they did take it off our bill but it took persuading, our waiter was great very personable. The Thai tea was very yummy I doubt we will return
The 2 lady’s that were there are so friendly and very patient when helping me order for the first time. Food and drink i had was amazing and I will definitely be going back.
Don't pass on the soup- especially the Tom Kha Gai. Worth coming here just for that. The green curry dish was great. Probably my favorite Thai food in Omaha.
The owner is super sweet and the food is amazing. Everything is made fresh to order so take a little time but worth it.
"Real Thai Food" years of experience.
Best authentic Thai in town!
Very good food. Friendly service.
Muy bueno
This place is super SHADY! Make sure you bring cash because even though it is 2019, they don't take anything else. The is no organization and a complete lack of management here, please, please take your business somewhere else.
Excellent and I'm not a spicy Tai fan. Great fresh spring rolls and veggies and ginger chicken
Great Thai!!
You know it's authentic Thai when the King's pictures are everywhere. Great place!
This place is deceiving! The outside of it looks pretty modest. Nothing extraordinary to bring you in. I think word of mouth is the main advertising for this place. However, step inside and it is drastically different. The beautiful colors, the gorgeous greenery, and the clean spotless atmosphere make this restaurant one of my new favorite! The waitress was a master of her job. She brought everything right on time and was cordial and helpful throughout the whole time. The food was absolutely perfect! The price is very reasonable. Please don't be fooled by what you see on the outside! Next time I'll take some pictures! I promise!
Love the authentic food...my favorite dish is Pad Thai! 🍜
Great food and the service was great as well as friendly.
Over priced place.
This place is always oh so amazing!!!! Delicious food, no matter what you pick!! Super friendly staff!!!
Excellent food and service!
Best Thai in the city
Really good place! Very kind, very sweet people who love sharing their food arts with you. It's not in a place you'd expect to find it and that makes it even better!!!
Excellent food. Really liked the coconut sweet rice with custard.
Best Thai restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska! Chicken and Fish soup are excellent!
Buena comida china
Best place in Omaha for authentic Thai food. Favorites are the spring rolls, pad thai, and green curry. Great vegan options too. And no joke on the spice factor. When you ask for spicy it actually is. They do not have the biggest portions but they more than make up for it with the service and flavor. Be aware this is a cash only place. There is a sign on the door and ATM machine in the back.
My wife and I have been expanding our mainly American and Italian food traditions by visiting restaurants of other ethnic groups. So far we have visited German, Indian, and Greek restaurants. Today we visited Laos Thai in South Omaha. We will go back to this restaurant.
The facility was clean. The service friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! I asked for 3 on the heat scale. My son asked for 7. My wife for a zero, yet it had just a little bite.
I though the cost was a little high for the serving sizes. But not unreasonable.
Great experience. Thanks Amanda C. for recommending this restaurant. I too recommend it now.
Small portions for the price. We've been to Thailand and Loas both and we weren't impressed with the flavors here. We really wanted to like it but it just didn't fulfill our expectations. The waitress was very friendly.
Cash only
Very good.
Great food and very friendly people work here.
Great food. We stopped by after visiting the Doorly Zoo. Glad we found it. I cannot say enough on how delicious their food was. And great service too. HOWEVER this is a cash only place, I wish they would have mentioned this. Also they do have a ATM machine inside.
Cash only limited parking on street but soooo good!!!
Cash only understaffed mediocre thai
Love the food here and I can pick my own level of hot.
Such great tasting food. Freshly prepared and spiced to your preference. Remember cash only.
