I love Thai food and always try it wherever I go. I moved to Kearney for college in May. I stopped here for dinner and was disappointed. The food was too sweet. I liked the service and everything else. The price was a little cheaper than at normal Thai restaurants I had been to.

I had a very good experience for my first time at this restaurant. My waitress was SUPERB!! The appetizers were very delicious. However, the entrées that we chose were very sweet to us. We prefer more of a savory taste. The GREEN CURRY was the better of the two with more flavor and less sugar, THE SEAFOOD IN THE MUD was just too sweet for curry and did not have enough kick.

The curry had just the right amount of heat and sweet. The noodles were drunk, just to her liking. The sliver dollars were perfect as well. 10/10 recommended eating here.

As much as we truly appreciated the comfortable dining room, very clean bathrooms, and attentive server, it was the food that we absolutely *adored*. Strongly recommend the coconut soup and the panang curry - both were fabulous!

My wife and I were extremely disappointed. The food (we ordered Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles) was dry, tasteless, and crumbly. My pad Thai was 98 percent noodles and 2 percent chicken. After forcefully eating a few spoons, we had to put the food aside.

First, my daughter's reaction was priceless—like she’d accidentally sipped something from a science lab. Then, she’s hesitantly testing it again, unsure if she should trust it. By the third try, you can see she's a bit skeptical but goes for it. And the final photo? Big smiles—she ended up loving it!

Suwanee seriously delivers if you’re up for a bit of unpredictability with great flavors. The Thai Tea took my daughter on a mini adventure, but she ended up enjoying every bit.

Definitely recommend for a fun and tasty experience!

Ordered online an hour and an half ahead and still had to wait for 30 mins when I went to pick the food up. When we got home, the food had no sauce on it (literally I think they forgot to put sauce on both our dishes)… we are heading to the grocery store to get some Thai sauce to try to fix it but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I've never had a bad meal here. Everything is freshly made with savory spices blended perfectly for a delicious meal!

Evidently, answering the phone is impossible. So no idea how good the food or service is. Tried for hours to place a order, to-go, during business hours, couldn't get an answer at all. Guess they don't need business.

The food was very good, but it took an hour from the time I sat down to get my entree, Pad Thai. I was a group of 1. Groups of 3 or 4 who came in after me received their food before me. I would order from here again, if it is pickup.

Take out was great. Drunken noodles and dumplings. Peanut sauce for the satay chicken was amazing.

The beef noodle soup is legit! Very fresh and the flavors were right on point.

I had pad thai for the first time and it was delicious! Super sweet, I wasn't expecting that. The waitresses were very friendly. The only negative was the hour wait, but it was worth it.

Food is always very good! I understand the staffing challenges, I really do, but 2 1/2 hours for a family of 5? We ordered an appetizer for our 4 year old as a meal, Our other appetizers came out, and plates were cleared, the rest of the meals came out but no appetizer/meal for the 4 year old we asked twice where it was and each time told it would be right out. Waited 30 minutes after the other meals before she got her appetizer. Disappointed.

The food here is ALWAYS amazing. Love locally owned and operated. The owners are extremely nice and are always so welcoming to our family. I have picky kids and they love the food here.

Do not go during rush hour. You will not get a seat. This place is busy for a reason. I love the Tom, yum soup and spring rolls are excellent but really any dish there is amazing but if you don't like Thai food then it's probably not for you. They used to serve coconut ice cream which was amazing but they don't have it anymore. So go ahead and ask for it so that hopefully they bring it back.

Food was delicious! Pick up order for two dishes and egg rolls was pricey at $44, so with a modest tip you're at $50+ for a couple (takeout). Portions were plentiful and unless I was starving (which I kinda was), there could easily be some leftovers. We ordered by phone at 7:30pm, food wait was an hour, food was handed to me at 8:45. Wait staff were very attentive and helpful.

Not my first time there but had to share.
Went after I had surgery with a family friend who is in his 80s, a Veteran, and had never experienced anything like this kind of food. And I was starving! After telling our server this, we we totally pampered. He was so excited and really didn't want to leave. Food was amazing. It always is. But that kind of service experience is really rare. I wish I could remember that young woman's name. Appetizer platter. Pad Thai. And Fried Rice. And copious amounts of ginger tea. Delicious.

I always enjoy the Thai flavor experience and this was no different. Good food.

The food was great, I had the drunken noodles and they were very flavorful and well prepared. The restaurant is a little on the small side and parking was almost at capacity for the surrounding stores, so I could easily see a wait when busy. The staff were professional, also we had to wait quite a while for our check after we had cleared our plates.

This is a small restaurant with limited seating. But the Thai food is great. Many people call for carryout.

Let me put it this way. When my mom was dying and knew she was having one of her last meals, she wanted chicken Pad Thai from Suwannee. We've gone here for years and the food is amazing. I could drink the peanut sauce with a straw. I would highly recommend the chicken Pad Thai and the spring rolls. So good!

My favorite there is Basil Chicken & I have it almost every time we go there. The serving size & food is great. We go at 530p Thursdays. I do not like to wait for a table. By the time we leave in an hour, the place is full. Still going there 3 years later. Still really like the food.

Kearney is a frequent overnight stop for us while travelling on i-80. I can't believe it took us this long to find Suwannee. We eat Thai all over and this place is one of the all time best. I had the mango chicken and it was off the charts good. Plus great service. Highly recommended.

Food is excellent! Had pad Thai, which was excellent. Pretty small dining room and we waited around 30 minutes for a table. It was worth the wait food wise, but I did see some people leave as closing time approached and it looked like they wouldn't get a table.

One of my favorite restaurants in Kearney. I'm happy we have a little gem like this. The drunken noodles are great.

Excellent little Thai restaurant! I had the crispy chicken which is like a mix of American Chinese food (fried and in a sweet sauce) and Thai food. Definitely a guilty pleasure meal. My partner had the panang curry which I think was one of the best panang curries I’ve had! The sweet and sour soup was also super hearty which we both enjoyed.

First and last time ever going here, went it for lunch waited about 20 minutes just for our drinks, found a hair in our food, the food was brought out cold, I also ordered there roti roti dessert when we were ordering food and told them to bring it out with the food and they didn’t, asked for the dessert and about 5 minutes later asked again and was told it would take another 5-10 minutes, got the check and paid and waited 5-10 minutes and asked once again for the dessert and their response was “another 5-10 minutes”, got up and left, worse customer service ever!!!!!! Would not recommend going here.

Great Thai food... Something you'd never expect in the heart of Nebraska. Big fan of the Pad Thai, Drunkin Noodle, and Mango Chicken. The spring rolls are great too! Not many tables, but if you have to wait, it's worth it.

Very good drunken noodles and friendly staff.

I stopped by before they closed and they were able to quickly make a dish for me (+1 star). Had the basil fried rice. It was sub par. Tasted like the rice was kind of old or not properly mixed with all the other seasonings. I haven't tried enough dishes to give an accurate rating so I gave it 3 stars plus 1 for doing a last minute dish for me. When I'm in the area I'll definitely try different dishes so I can give a more accurate review.

Pretty surprised at how small the portions are here. Maybe this is normal for NE but for $18.31 I was definitely expecting more....Tastes good but would not pay this price for this small amount of food again. :/

I would never have guessed to have such good Thai food in a small town like Kearney. Some of the best dishes we sampled: drunken noodles, Tom Kah soup, Pad Thai.

While driving back home to CA from IA, we stopped by Kearney to rest and grab some dinner. Mind you, I'm from CA so I didn't expect too much from this Thai restaurant in the middle of nowhere. We picked up our food and settled in our hotel. My boyfriend ordered Duck on the Beach and I ordered Spicy Green beans (Phrik Khing). We took the first bite out of our food and OMG! We were blown away by the authentic flavors! Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were on point! We kind of wished then that we should have dined in because I'm sure our food would have tasted even better fresh out of the kitchen. I NEVER leave reviews but this restaurant well deserves the recognition. I wish we would have stayed in town a little longer to try their other dishes, but we had to hit the road due to the limited time we had. With this being said, Suwannee is a must try if you love Thai food!

Fire....best thai for 350 miles

There is no better place anywhere for authentic Thai food. There is a bit of a wait as they prepare each dish as it's ordered and they are usually busy. You can order ahead for take-out though.

Great vegetarian options. Enjoyed the spring rolls, green papaya salad and a tofu noodles dish.

It's a different out look than your regular Chinese food however if you in that mood than it's got what you need than.
