Chill, intimate choice serving traditional Northern Thai cuisine with locally sourced ingredients.
After reading the good reviews I went here, and I had the spring rolls, the red curry with beef, and also spearmint tea. Food was decent, the place was cold on a chilly day, they could have turned the heat up. The one thing I don't like about places like this is that when you get the check they already assume you're going to pay with a credit card and if you look at the bill you'll see cash discount and an amount. I paid with cash and the lady asked if I wanted change back, and I said yes because I wanted to tip you a five but she didn't understand me so she got less of a tip because she didn't know how to make change. I tried it once, I wouldn't go back.
Went to this quaint eatery on Delmar for dinner. The ambiance was pleasant with only a few tables. The place feels cozy.
We were seated right away. The service was attentive. Our server made excellent recommendations.
The menu is somewhat limited but carries all of the staples. Got Phad Kaprao. Was disappointed by the small portion. Chicken was minced, which was nice. The meat was a touch overcoooked. The dish felt under seasoned and lacked flavor. Had ordered medium spice level.
Overall, a good place to visit for a romantic dinner or an evening with friends. If you are very picky about your Thai food, may want to give this place a miss.
Servers are always so friendly and sweet. The ambience is sooo cute with little candles and tastefully dim lighting which makes it one of my favorite date night spots. I like to try different appetizers every time and haven’t been disappointed yet. The chicken khao soi is my go-to and my partner gets the hung le curry. Food is incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The only thing better than eating here is eating the leftovers the next day as a little treat. Absolutely my favorite place!! (Carry out is just as good and portions are great too )
DO NOT LET PICTURES FOOL YOU! TASTELESS FOOD.
I really wanted to like this place but the food was very bland and tasteless.
However, drinks were really good. So, i recommend avoiding food and go there for drinks only but they close at 9. Lol
The server tried to take my plate away while I am dipping my spring rolls in the sauce!!! Rude!
This was our first time, and we were impressed! The cocktails, Midnight in Morocco and Chai Mezcalita, were artistically adorned and flavorful. The entrees, Pad See Eq and Hung Leh Curry, were equally beautiful and delicious. The spring rolls were standard fare. Service was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the guests, and we’ll definitely return.

To be honest, one of the best coffees in the city
Haven't been here? You are missing out! Food and drinks all tucked away in a nice intimate location!

Man. Flavor, flavor, Love.
What a great place, if your ever at the Pageant it’s a few blocks. Worth a 30 mile trip too. While situation was excellent.
The curry soup was amazing!!

The food was average and there was nothing to write home about. My Laab Gai was average. Really needed a more citrus kick to it. The Hoy Jaw was bland. Do not recommend at all.
We came here for dinner and this place is so dark, I can barely see my food. Automatic 20% gratuity for a table of 4+ which seems a little excessive.
Love this little place at the far end of the U. City Loop. My wife and I have been going there for years, lunches and dinners. The food is always freshly prepared and always delicious.
Their choice of background music is excellent and really adds to the ambiance.
The best Thai food in Saint Louis. Bring the whole family. Great service. Better food. Outdoor seating in nice days is highly recommended. Great for pre-concert dinners. The Khao Soi is a must try.

Such a cool little spot to get some amazing food. The staff were so nice and the service was great.
The food was good except the tofu was overcooked
Wonderful service. Very tasty too!
Wonderful People - Fantastic Food!
Tucked away just off the main thoroughfare of Delmar Blvd, the restaurant was packed at 7:30pm on a Friday. My husband and I were excited! A local eatery that is so busy that they are bursting at the seams was promising. The food at fork and stix did not disappoint. The menu is small so anything you order is prepared with precision and care. The hungh Leh curry was rich and thick and warm with huge chunks of soft stewed pork shoulder. The green curry with shrimp was aromatic, spicy, and so filling. We also ordered spring rolls and muu ping skewers for appetizers and they were almost a meal in themselves as they come with a side of sticky rice. We ate until we were so full we could hardly walk out. The prices are terrific for the quality and amount of the food. Service needs work, but they were very busy. We didn’t get even a glass of water until about 20 minutes after we finished our appetizers and my husband had to go up and ask for it. That small oversight is not a reason to miss out on some of the best curry I’ve ever eaten and I will try to go again when it isn’t peak service.
Wow. Wow. I regret not going to this place earlier. I 100% recommend the khao soi. It is now considered my favorite food. I will be coming back for more. There was little to no wait and the servers were very attentive to the water levels in our cup. The wait for the food was not long as well.
Bloody exceptional, authentic as heck. I have no other words to say
Small but great! Plus, they typically have outdoor sear8ng to expand their services.
Second time at this restaurant. First visit was ok. Not the best Thai I’ve had, but cute little spot. This visit the place was packed, got seats pretty fast. Sat for 30 minutes before getting water. Ordered a Paloma which tasted like they left the tequila out. Meanwhile, two workers are behind the bar the entire time just processing take out orders.
Food comes out just prior to an hour being there, after tables that sat after us got served. The food was meh, green chili too hot for one companion to eat (didn’t get asked what heat level we wanted). So then we finish, wait a bit and get the tickets. They’ve added 20% gratuity to us. I asked about this and was told “we add this to any table of 4 or more.” Thats insane! So can’t even. Tip appropriate to our service, and it wasn’t noted on the menu that this is their practice. I’m generally a generous tipper but not for this kind of service. Definitely won’t be coming back to this spot. They seems more focused on fulfilling take out orders than serving customers in the restaurant.
I really found the experience to be lackluster. While the flavors were acceptable, there was simply too little food to justify the price. After ordering an appetizer to share and personal entrees, two people left still hungry. The flavor was also not so good that we felt content enough to overlook this. I would not return unless looking for somewhere casual while being not too hungry.
Fabulous service for dinner and the food was excellent as well. I met a friend here for dinner with me arriving early. So I started off with a beer and the "Hoy Jaw" dumplings that arrived a few minutes later. Shrimp, crab, pork all mixed and served with a sweet Thai chili mix that was perfect for dipping. Yummy and it was my intention to save half for my friend, I ended up eating them all. Oops.
I heard that it was the Khao Soi was the thing to have, so that's what I ordered with chicken. It was flavorful, loaded with texture and delicious. A curry soup with Thai egg noodles and greens, I'd skip the crispy egg noodles on top next time as they were in the way a lot.
My friend ordered a Pad Thai, asking for "9" level of heat. He spent the first half of his meal saying that he couldn't find the hot and the second half asking for more water. Funny. So there you go.
A fantastic meal in a cozy little restaurant with excellent service from all the staff. Perfect!
Awfully expensive for food that lacks depth. Service was great, but the restaurant is difficult to reach/park/etc.
Enjoy coming for an early lunch. Restaurant is quiet and pleasant. Enjoy the music playing, jazzy mellow covers of pop songs. Food is tasty and presentation is excellent. Staff attentive and helpful.
You know the food is good when the place is packed. All the food was very good.
Just left 15 min ago. Got home opened bag and received they smallest Barbie sized rice. Rice is cheap. I just wish I had more to soak up the raging inferno of unenjoyable curry.
Great Thai, slightly off the beaten path in the East Loop, worth going around the corner. The de facto "medium" is the perfect heat.
Been holding out for Fork & Stix and finally went. The staff was incredibly accommodating, holding a table for our group of 10. This is a laid-back no frills Thai restaurant in University City’s Delmar Loop community in St. Louis, offering classic Northern Thailand dishes—a staple spot for many.
We tried all the things. My favorites include:
🥢 Thai Stix
Cream cheese & Crab mixed wrapped in wonton wrapper and deep fried. Serve with Thai sweet chili sauce.
🥢 Pad Kee Mao with Shrimp
Stir fry spicy egg noodles, bell pepper, green beans, onions, basil, gluten free soy sauce.
🥢 Som Tum add Crab
Spicy green papaya salad. tomato, green beans, fish sauce, garlic, peanuts.
Generally small and expensive portions of under seasoned dishes.
Without a doubt some of the best Thai food is St Louis. The food is always cooked to perfection and seasoned so well. Definitely worth the money. And the atmosphere and decor is so comforting and eclectic it makes it really feel like you're being invited into someone's kitchen. If you love Thai food and especially Thai curry like I do you have to check out Fork and Stix.
The fried rice was really disappointing, super bland and didn't taste "Thai" at all but the minced pork dish I got the previous trip was excellent. So don't get the fried rice.
Total disappointment with the food. Chicken tasted old or reheated, pad Thai had a bland taste. I’m definitely not a Thai food expert but I had never had bad tasting tai food. Service was friendly and the place is cozy (although a bit dark). For the food, there are plenty other local places to try.
Ok food, but takeout portions were extremely small for the price.
The food is incredible the staff are excellent and it's very cozy and welcoming.
Delicious food, great ambience, and friendly staff
The atmosphere and food are okay, food is getting way more expensive than before. Service was not a strong point at all, plenty of waiters but are very slow to get seat and get the orders out even though it is pretty much empty inside.
This was my first time having Thai. Chicken Pad kee mao was good. But for the price you would think more would’ve came in it. Spent almost $20 for half of a portion and a lot of cilantro. Personally it’s overpriced.won’t be back
Jennifer Blew posting. I’m not sure where to begin. I brought my sister in law here before Sylvan Esso at the Pageant last night. The whole experience was substandard. They were busy which was fine but the service was so slow. Once we were seated it took over 20 minutes to get a glass of water. After 15 I walked up to the bar to ask for 2 glasses and got a glare and she said yes but then didn’t give me the glasses. We waited several more minutes before the server brought them. The food was…not great. In fact the green curry was inedible. The chicken tasted old, bland and over cooked. Just like boiled chicken in some thin curry water. I will never return. It had come so highly recommended but there are MUCH better Thai places in STL. Don’t waste your time or money. Believe the 1 star reviews.
Best kept thai secret in town
As someone moved from Thai-town Cali. I was really missing Northern Thai food. So i excited to find a restaurant who served this type of cuisine.
However, the Khao Soi was disappointing. The dish was very watery and bland. The didnt add enough paste, used the wrong type of noodles and missing the pickled mustard greens. The fried noodles they used on top were undercooked and chewy. They used more of a Szechuan-based chili oil then the thai khao paste. Also I’ve never been to a Thai restaurant that doesn’t allow you to customize the spice level. My partner’s Pad Thai was very dry and bland.
On positive note the staff and customer service was amazing and the place is beautiful.
Trash server
Food is good, prices high, portion small
The vegetarian Khao Soi is the best I've ever had. This place is the best.
So I wanted to try something new and saw great reviews for this place so decided to try it. I haven’t had good Thai in a little while and this place was so good. We got the special orange and strawberry cocktails and they were super yummy. All the appetizers and dinners we had were so delicious and well cooked. I will warn you, the medium is still very hot for the average person in my opinion.
This food was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had and I have sampled plenty. Me and my wife were passing through St. louis and found this place. Location is nice, relaxing, and laidback, servers are kind, and most of all the food is insanely good. My wife said the crab rangoon was the best she ever had (I couldn’t eat it because of dietary allergies) but i could see the fried portion and the inside was incredible well done. The Pad Thai, papaya salad, and crab fried rice were fantastic… as in “lick the plate” good. If you are a local or visiting PLEASE stop into this wonderful place!
Ok Thai food with VERY small portions.
My beef curry had 6 quarter-sized pieces of meat, 4 pieces of bell pepper, and a bunch of bamboo shoots. Not nearly enough for a main course. The city was watery.
I'll not be back.
My husband, son and I came here before a concert at the Pagent. The food was amazing. And the staff were very friendly. I would definitely go back.
tasty food! would recommend.
This is the best northern Thai food I have had in the US since visiting Thailand 16 years ago. We are visiting from out of town and ate there two nights in a row because we liked it so much the first time.
Nice place to visit and order a salad
Great food. A little pricey but the taste is definitely worth every penny.
This is my new favorite place. Lots of options to order vegan, just ask your server. My favorite is the green curry.
The call and attitude were so rude. I have call them about kitchen close time. We told them our arrive time before the kitchen close. They refused us. Never go to this restaurant again. I used to love this place
Pretty darn good. Would repeat.
My favorite Thai in the city! Every server here is so nice, the food is always phenomenal even when they are really busy and the atmosphere is just perfect. I try things here I would never try anywhere else because I know it’s just remarkable! But the pad see ew is my go to dish paired with the Tom yum it’s just perfection. I’ve had multiple long conversations with the lady who runs a place and she is so thoughtful and cares so much about the food and the community- absolutely adore y’all ❤️
All of our food was delicious!
Love this quaint little thia place! Their food was excellent and I can't wait to take the rest of my family there!
This place is so much fun! Great atmosphere and food.
If you’re looking for the best, this is where you eat
Very mid for the expensive price. They don’t add extra spice and have added a “cash savings” charge on your bill.
Since a lot of other Thai places nearby tend to be closed on Tuesdays, we decided to try Fork & Stix, but we probably won’t be going back. The serving sizes are way smaller than other Thai places, when the food is not nearly as good and still notably more expensive. Overall just disappointed in the lack of flavor in their curry and noodle dishes. The only real saving grace was that their spring rolls were pretty decent.
We had the chicken satay and the hoy jaw as apps and both were excellent. Even my picky eater soon sure the satay! We split the pork pad Thai and were underwhelmed. It may have been lacking in fish sauce maybe not; either way it wasn't as complex a flavor as we are used to and prefer. It was still small in portion size though good but we prefer others in the St. Louis area such as King and I.
What is worth mentioning is the service. We asked for a scrambled egg for the aforementioned picky eater and they accommodated with a smile. Many thanks!
Great cafe style family owned eatery in the loop. Hidden in a corner and finding parking can be a chore. Food is great though! One of the best spring roll and Tom Yum soup in the town. Make sure you order the spice level carefully as even moderate level is very spicy!! We had green curry, Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao for entrees and they were average. Service is fast, place is clean and they have a twist to their utensils: steel mugs and steel soup spoon! A place worth trying for a spicy Thai cuisine!
Good food, good vibes, but bad drinks(alc).
Definitely recommend checking it out; they have good food and good plating.
Love the Thai food here! Authentic dishes and flavors.
Food was fresh and delicious. Loved the pad Thai!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Mediocre food quality/taste, ridiculous prices, very small portion sizes. Worst combination. I would never ever go back to this restaurant. The dishes are no where close to authentic. Their own versions. Really regretting choosing this place over Thai Country or any other Thai restaurant on Delmar. Ideal for people who have no sense of taste or appreciation for Thai food
We have declared Fork and Stix the best restaurant in St. Louis, with every item popping wiťh flavor.
Individual ingredients were noteworthy. The coffee with concentrated milk (iced or hot) was delightful. The Crab Rangoon equivalent was perfect. We had an appetiser wrapped in tofu that was delicious, and the pork stuffing was the best ever! Tomatoes, lemongrass, etc., were so fresh and full of flavor that they required picking out and savoring! Yet the overall blend of flavors was excellent.
This will be my Go-To place for the forseeable future!
The pad see ew is just absolutely mouth watering! Though the menu is smaller than almost any Thai restaurant I’ve been to, trust me when I say master of few here. Thai has always been one of my favorite cuisines, and Fork and Stix is hands down my favorite. It helps that everyone there is really friendly and welcoming! I actually went the first time only because everyone was always so nice when I picked up Postmates there (and the smell didn’t hurt lol), but one visit and it quickly became my new favorite Thai spot! Thai Kitchen is definitely close second, and they have some things you can’t get here so that’s my next go to for the Maryland heights area, but Fork and Stix won me over for life lol
Pad see ew with tofu was pretty bland.
Would highly recommend avoiding this place. I ordered Tofu Pad Kee Mao. Descriptions show veggies with noodles but veggies were no where to be found. There was maybe 2 - 3 tiny pieces of tofu. It was simply an over priced dish with minimum flavor.
Wonderful food and thoughtful, efficient service. The entrees were excellent but the Snacks were truly awesome. Terrific experience.
We got the chicken pad thai and chicken green curry. Both were delicious! Fast turnaround for our pickup order.
This is our favorite spot, every dish is spot on delicious, service is great.
Delicious!!! Very friendly servers! A wonderful place to get some amazing Thai food!!
This place has it all - good quick service, delicious food, and a good vibe. Wish I lived in the city so I could come here all the time!
This is a great find in the Delmar Loop! It's some of the best South Asian food in the city, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The smaller dining room makes it a cozy experience, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time if there is a wait. Parking is also tight, but you can park on the street behind the restaurant. Feel free to experiment and try several options because you will not be disappointed!
Hardly a few vegan options but food was really good!!
good food, but portions too small compared to price.
Dishes are very well executed. Flavors are balanced and harmonious. Proteins and veggies are tender and very flavorful. Cute cozy vibe perfect for one on one dinners.
Three words: Chicken Khao Soi. Thats it...thats the review.
Pretty good! I would come back for sure!
Awesome spot with amazing food and a great little date spot.
Horrible customer service, the food was good but the asian lady waitress was really rude. The first time I was there, I thought she was just having a bad day, but nope she still being rude to us the second time. Will never go back.
I love fork and stix. The food is amazing and the staff are always super nice. Can't recommend this place enough.
So the overall rating is an average of how the food was, a 5 out of 5, combined with the service, which I rate a 2 out of 5. I'm rounding down cause I don't think my experience deserves a 4. Despite the 3 rating, I believe it is a good place to get Thai food from.
So we came from out of town and we ordered the Pad Ka Prao, the Kao Pad, and the Pad Thai. For the taste and the quantity, relative to the price, the food was quite good. My mother and wife got the Pad Thai and fried rice (the Kao Pad) respectively, and they were both pleased. For myself, the Pad Ka Prao hit all the right spots as well.
About the service: it mostly boils down to the server so it may not reflect the place as a whole. The server made the mistake of inputting a previous table's order as our own, so when they came out with the wrong food, they ended up having to take our order again. If we hadn't been waiting 30-40 minutes already, this wouldn't have been as big of a deal but that soured our experience. Another thing was, for my order, I had specified mild, and when I ate my food I noticed it was kind of spicy for mild. I can handle my spice so I thought that maybe that level of spice was mild but looking at the receipt, it specified medium. Meaning it was inputted incorrectly. Lastly, the server was relaxing behind the counter when our table had already finished eating and I walked up to pay our bill (this place has the server bring out the check to the table).
The only saving aspect of their conduct was suggesting getting a juice for our 2 year old, which may have been just upselling, but considering our son liked it, it was satisfying.
So overall, our food experience would have been nice if it hadn't been tainted by the server's behavior. Also, I believe this server was not new as they were handling the lunch crowd by themselves (it wasn't busy enough to give them the benefit of the doubt; source: I am a former server) so I expected something greater from our time there.
Cozy. northern style Thai food. Very authentic. Delicious 😋
Staff was nice and food was delicious!
Wonderful tastes. Tum yam soup is genuinely tasty and very hot.
The Khao Soi is incredible!! I have never ordered anything that I didn’t like.
The food is good but expensive
When this place was new, it was stellar: great flavors, fresh ingredients, perfect portions, really great prices. I realize the pandemic has affected all restaurants, and I fully understand and support increased pricing. But Fork&Stix started going downhill well before the pandemic. The portions are sloppy, the ingredients are no longer fresh, very little veg in the dishes that should have them, and mostly everything just tastes really salty. Tonight was the last time I will ever give this place a chance: take out Pad Thai box was only half full, veggies were stingy & soggy, and noodles did not have that nice toasty flavor that true pad thai should have. Also, 1 sad small cube of tofu for the protein. The vegetable stir fry was not stir fried, it was soggy steamed maybe 10 green beans, half a small green pepper, 5 pieces of onion and a couple of stringy leaves of basil in a salty liquid. . Really really disappointed and sad. I will not be eating here again.
Delicious Thai food. Our server was knowledgeable and explained every item on the menu (clearly and concisely) Fair sized servings. Greens were fresh. The staff made sure our water glasses were full at all times. Small but cozy. Felt like a family run operation. On a dead end street but easy to park on the main drag.
Delicious food and excellent service are both consistent here. Work your way down the menu, and believe them if they suggest mild.
A wonderful spin on classic dishes with plenty of new favorites on the menu as well!
Really incredible Thai food. Some of the best in STL, and certainly the best on the loop. I really love their green curry; it’s very light and the ingredients are very fresh.
The beef pad thai wasn't bad, but not amazing either. Small portion and overpriced. I prefer Sweetie Cup or Pad Thai St. Louis down in west valley.
Extremely bland/flavorless. Horrible customer service. Worst thai food we've ever had. Period.
great food for a great price. always friendly staff. wish the parking situation was a bit better, but that's not their fault
It was couple years back since I ate here but service was great, food was even better. Had a cozy little spot in the corner and my wife and I had an excellent date night. Good drinks too. I always recommend Pad Kee Mao with Pork.
The good was good but the service was bad. The server got a bad attitude. We ordered a pick up order, it was missing utensils and napkins we asked for it and they said that why didn't tell them that we wanted utensils when we ordered which we actually did (Additionally, even if we didn't, they should had put them in anyway).
And then we asked for chili sauce, the girl didn't want to give it out too. We left the place feeling sad and don't think that we would be back.
Flavor is good but portion is too small for the price your pay.
This is my first experience with Thai food. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal, the service and the atmosphere at Fork & Stix. I work right around the corner and will definitely support this restaurant on a more regular basis. Highly recommend checking them out if you have not already.
Pretty good thai food for a good price, but there are better thai places in St. Louis that cost a little more. If you like spicy food, their hot isn't very hot, and hits in the middle of places that bring the heat.
Food was outstanding. Service wasn't as food as good but still pretty decent. Definitely going there again.
5/5, easy. Been here throughout 2020 about 5-6 times now. Food is all delicious, never ever disappoints. The staff is as good as the food. The young lady who works days and whose name I must find out is so sweet and friendly. She seems to know me by name and even recalls that I like hot chili sauce with my order. Very impressed with everything, will return many more times and recommend this place to anyone in the area!
The pad thai here is good. I am also a fan of the Thai tea and the curry.
Came in with a friend and was told that I had to sit by the window on stoles in an empty restaurant because I didn't have a reservation at 6pm. Get real. There was 3 people in the whole place. Shameful!
Delicious food and great staff. I found their Pad Thai to be less oily than a lot of other places. Other dishes are good too. Reasonable prices too. Nothing too expensive. The interior of the restaurant is good too. It has the small restaurant vibe.
Not fresh imo
Such good food!
Consistently good experience. We enjoy so many menu items, it's hard to decide!
Great Thai place, nice patio and friendly prices!
Best Thai food in STL. I’ve never felt so strongly about fried rice until trying theirs. Khao soi is top-shelf, too! The staff is so kind and so pleasant. 5 star meal and service every time!
Fast, friendly and made everything fresh! Ordered the vegetable pad Thai. And Honestly speaking it was one of the best pad Thai I have ever eaten! The presentation was beautiful and portion size was more than I expected! Definitely going there again to try different dishes!
Fork & Stix was one of the few restaurants that was open in a rainy and icy evening. The restaurant was full when we got there. We ordered curry, noodles, and beer - everything was delicious!
Fast friendly service. Ordered Khao Soi. Toppings were fresh and tasty; however, the broth itself was somewhat bland. A few more pickled mustard greens and a teaspoon or two more of fish sauce would have really brought this dish up a level (I actually added some fish sauce when I got home!) Otherwise I’ll look forward to trying their other dishes in the future.
Delicious and great display every single time!
Maybe the best pad thai I've ever had. Great location on the loop.
I never write reviews but had to after today’s experience. The food was good and the place itself looks nice but the service was terrible. When we entered, the two servers at the counter barely looked at us so we had to seat ourselves and no server approached us for five mins with the menu. Appetizers came late and bc we were all hungry we ordered another appetizer that came earlier then the food which took a long time to come out. When I asked for spices, which the server said she would give but didn’t give, the server looked annoyed. My friend asked for a spoon and chopsticks, she only gave her a spoon (it would’ve been fine if they didn’t have chopsticks, but at least tell us). When we asked for water (which when we tried to order they ignored us several times), she was very annoyed and passive aggressive. Never checked up on us and when we wanted service, would make eye contact and ignore.
Tl;dr= terrible service (server was constantly annoyed and passive aggressive) for was okay
Great food and great service! Everyone is so friendly.
Best damned Thai in St Louis!
