Homey, modern restaurant serving predominantly Thai curries & noodles, plus a few Chinese dishes.
Looking on from the outside you wouldn't know a great Asian restaurant is inside. The interior is quaint with nice booths for couples or small groups. But get to the food and oh my! You will be dreaming of it for days to come. Always great quality and always great taste. Definitely my favorite Asian restaurant north of the river. Highly recommend you go see for yourself.
We got takeout so I won’t comment on how it came cold and in one large lump of noodles- cause that’s likely not the fault of the restaurant.
This feels like the farthest thing from authentic Thai food I’ve ever had. The noodles are not the usual pad Thai noodles. The sauce is red and sweet. I ordered it spicy and there’s zero spice.
There is a lot. So if you don’t care about how it tastes and you just wanna get a lot of food for your money, this is a really large portion.
However the taste is really lacking. It’s really 1-dimensional. No lime, no peanuts, the noodles are all wrong (they skinny like Pho Noodles). The flavor is flat, bland and watery tasting.
My daughter got the lettuce wraps and the meat was mostly gristle and fat. The flavor of this was also flat and bland (which is ironic given the name of the restaurant)
The spring rolls were really good though.
We had a great first experience at Spices! We were greeted promptly when entering and sat at a bar high top table. Our server was attentive and helpful.
We had calamari, Lao papaya salad, beef jerky, and sticky rice for our appetizers. All of them were excellent and flavorful.
For our main dishes we had the Mee Krati and Three Favorites Crispy Catfish. The Mee Krati was wonderful and full of flavor. Huge portion too! The catfish was tasty, but with the sauce over the top of the catfish fillets, it turned the crispy coating soggy. Overall, the dish was good!
We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!
The Pork gave me an upset stomach. Restaurant very accommodating with diet concerns. Didn't care for the Crab Ragoon ! Taste was good but I think I'll stick with the shrimp. I will order again to see how that goes. Otherwise I'll continue to travel 20 minutes out of my way to the best shrimp fried rice and rice shrimp noodle restaurant Ever !
Always a great place for a quick lunch or dining experience. Staff and owners are very friendly, helpful with making good food selections and describing their food.
Each item I've selected has always been great, packed a good flavor punch, and cooked to perfection.
I'm big on duck and sometimes duck can be fatty, mine has always been very crispy and tasty there.
Pad Thia is amazing. I strongly recommend this atmosphere for team lunches. Small business meetings.
Parking can be a little busy during daytime hours during the week, but spaces will always be available.
My only recommendation is later hours on the weekend.
Came here for my brothers birthday & it was good! We got a variation of things, but to name a few, we ordered the crab rangoon, pad Thai, and seafood fried rice. All tasted great along with the fruit punch! Service was spectacular. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. My only complaint would be that it has limited seating if you're going with a large group, but other than that, overall, it's a great place!
I only suggest this place for take out only. There's a weird smell and the wait staff is rude.

Awful food!!!
They messed up my order the place isn't clean at all.
It was my first and last food not fresh it frozen and microwaved!!

Best curry in KC!
This place is awesome! From the outside it looks pretty nondescript. Once inside it has a great feel, excellent service, and delightful food! Really amazing.
This is a solid place in the north land to get Thai and Laotian food. I like that they have a good selection of options.
Their crab rangoons are 6/10. Nothing special. Good crisp wontons but a bland cream cheese filling. Sauce is basic.
Lao sausage is delicious. I prefer to eat it with some lettuce and and ginger.
The sun dried pork jerky is also very good. I wish the green sauce served with it was slightly spicier.
The Thai papaya salad is ridiculously hot. I love Thai spicy foods, but the heat on this som tum made my gums burn. I had to eat it in small portions and then give my mouth and body 10-20 minutes breaks to recover. Definitely the hottest I’ve had in Kansas City by a long shot.
The food wasn't really hot and they made the wrong dish, took it back to the back, put it on a different plate, and brought it back out to us.
This is one of our favorite Asian food restaurants. Anytime we are near them we stop in. Recommended to all our friends.

Love it so much, if I could I'd eat there every day 🤩
Always excellent food! I love the panang curry with chicken.
Dec 2024: This has become my favorite Thai place! We are here again tonight and the panang curry was made different, with lotus root (I think - it seemed similar to potato but not the same) and carrots, instead of broccoli and peppers like in the past. And I absolutely LOVED IT!!!! It was even better than the panang I've had in the past. Our meal for two, including an appetizer, was less than $40. Highly recommend!
I have had a few Door Dash orders from here and although a few dishes were okay, the others were not. Overall, everything was not well made.
Brought out a dish we did not order. Were told multiple times we did order it, finally spoke to someone who said that it was a ‘similar enough’ to what we ordered (it wasn’t it was a completely different dish). They refused to replace it or take it off of our ticket but they would add some of the ingredients from the other dish. So we wound up with some weird mixed mush. First time I’ve ever experienced anything like this at a restaurant - kind of wild. Stay away.
As a family we've liked everything we've ordered here. The entrees and excellent as are the appetizers (check out the shrimp rolls!)
Service was not good especially when they weren’t busy

The food was excellent. The service was prompt and friendly.
Was not expecting the food to be this good! Staff is friendly and quick, highly recommend this place if you like tasty and authentic food! I had the duck and it might be the best duck I’ve ever had…
Food was delicious, however I ordered for an office and they provided no silverware even when asked. Make sure you have your own dinnerware! I had the yellow curry fried rice and it was amazing
Service was not that good and the food wasn't either. Will not be coming back.
I got a general tso's chicken and a Thai curry for delivery. My general tso's was so watery, literally it was a soup and served in a soup container. The taste was ok, probably would have been good if it wasn't drowned in water. My husband's curry was alright but a bit diluted too.
Horrible food! The chef there treats me badly. I will never eat there again.
Service is terrible, food is disgusting, place is not clean, everything is disgusting, I sat there to eat, they brought me something else that I didn't order, and after I told them what I wanted, it wasn't the same order, the guy who worked there told me there was no such thing, you will eat it, and he also told me you will pay for it. I felt threatened, I really don't recommend going to eat at a place like this.
Love the pad see ew. Went for dinner and the service was excellent. Always nice to support local businesses.
Wow, delicious Is not even Adequate to describe The food at this restaurant. This is one where you go again and again
We picked up the noodle soup with chicken, the chicken was rubbery. You really couldn’t chew it and that broth had an odd taste. Not good at all.
Best Thia Food ever..AWESOME FOOD & SERVICE..we Loved this Restaurant!! Will be back !!
Best place to get shrimp rolls and mytyes!!!!
We haven't been in person, but have had it delivered a few times now. I've been blown away each time. The food shows up still nice and hot, and each dish we've tried has been so so good. The crab rangoon are the best I've had. All of the fried rice, noodle, and chicken dishes we have tried have been fantastic. The broth in the wonton soup is incredible. A+ perfect food.
Worst restaraunt ever. Their food is so bland and it’s so different everytime. One time you can order a hot dish and it’s way too spicy, and the next time you order it it has no flavor at all. Today I ordered a basil fried rice and put spice level as hot, and received an item that literlaly has no flavor to it whatsoever. Forget the spice, there wasn’t even any salt. When I called to complain she told me to bring it back and I said that’s not possible so she said send me a picture because “I remember i’m the one who packed this order” I sent the picture to her and she said “ya I see a whole spoon of spice on it, we always add one whole spoon of spice to our orders”. But there isn’t any spice. & i’ve had spices before and it was actually decent then. Wont be returning, and highly recommend other asian restaraunts in kc/north kc before spending your money here!
Food is great
So good! Food spicy hotness is hit or miss. I order medium and it is sometimes perfect sometimes and then too spicy to eat other times. I do love and recommend this place all the time.
Everything was amazing loved the crab ragoon, shrimp and zucchini tempura, red pork fried rice and chicken pad thai. Must visit again
Fast. Fresh. Tasty. Great prices. Portions are huge.
I only ever get noodle dishes here. But they are delicious every time.
Went here with my two friends. We ordered three dishes to split among us; Combo Rice, Catfish, and General Tso’s. The combination rice was good, but the other two were really oddly textured and tasted rubbery. I told the server and she said she couldn’t do anything about it. I asked if maybe we could just get the Catfish off our tab because no one was going to eat it since it tasted old. She said she couldn’t do anything so I had to get up and talk to the manager (who was on her phone) myself. She said she could only take 15% off of one dish… and that in all their 7 years of having that dish they never had someone not like it. I understand that it’s possible we got a bad batch, but still odd they were so adamant about charging us for a dish that we weren’t going to touch. After some back and forth she gave me 50% off… of just one dish. After driving home each one of us slowly got sick. I personally wouldn’t ever go back. Our servers were sweet, but the service wasn’t the best in the attentiveness and the quality was definitely lacking.
The food is always amazing. The service is always great. You literally cannot go wrong with the food that you order.
The only complaint that I have is that it is a little cold in the restaurant all the time
Delicious food! BEST crab rangoon I’ve ever had! Every dish was better than anticipated. Highly recommend this wonderful, authentic Thai restaurant.
I went to place a order of wonton soup. I never had it before but I was so pleased of how good the soup was. I was sick on 07/17/2024 & thanx to this soup. It gave me comfort & helped me battle this cold. The wonderful broth has ginger in it & I never had such a tasty soup like this before. Spices Asian thanx so much for helping me recover from my cold. I will order this again & recommend people need to order this soup when they are sick.
We just ate at spices, it’s so good and fresh but the service was so great. We have 4 little kids and they treated us so kind! The held our baby and just couldn’t have been more friendly.
Great food and friendly, helpful service. Delicious curries.
Veg friendly options (remember to order without fish sauce, oyster sauce, egg, or shrimp paste if you want your dish veg based - many of their dishes can be made that way). :)
Particularly fond if the Gang Dang / Red Curry, the Panang / Peanut Curry, the Phad See Ew (wide rice noodles with broccoli, tofu, and a dark soy sauce), Phad Woon Sen (skinny bean thread noodle dish), and the fresh sittinge rolls are always good!
Not the very best Thai restaurant in the metro, but we have definitely had some tasty dishes from them and friendly service.
This is the nastiest Asian food I tasted in my life
I had the privilege of having Thai Hot, and Medium flavor Basil Fried Rice and it was exceptional. Always good. Thank you
Food was not good
Excellent appetizers!!
The ladies working there are the worst people, after messing up my order they got hostile with me and when I asked to just get the rest of my order instead they laughed at me and refused to give me service. Horrible people
This the rudest encounter I have ever had with any restaurant. I called in to order and the lady that was taking my order seemed like she was in a rush and hurried off the phone. When I went in to order there were 2 ladies behind the register. One young girl with glasses and an older lady. The older lady was all the way on the other side and I never had an encounter with her. The young girl with glasses was helping at first, after finding out my order was wrong she went to the back and got a short lady that looked like she was in her mid 30’s with side bangs and hair in a ponytail. She walked up and said “you ordered spring rolls” and I said “no I didn’t, I ordered shrimp
Rolls” she looked at the young girl with glasses and they both laughed in my face. No greetings, very hostile, and straight to arguing that I ordered spring rolls instead of shrimps rolls. I calmly told her that is not what I ordered and instead of fixing my order she continued arguing. And when I told her it’s okay I don’t want it and I’ll just take the other thing I ordered she said that she will not be selling to me. Customer service was very horrible could give this place a 0 if I could!
Very unprofessional, and rude staff members. Had dead bugs on the floor of tables. When asked about them the staff member we had was very rude and told us that we can leave if it’s a problem. Would not recommend this place whatsoever and will be contacting the state to shut them down for the public’s safety.
Would give this place zero stars if I could. Food came out late and cold. Waiters are rude and served customers who came after me first. Please stay far from this restaurant !
Very disrespectful and rude. I ordered food and they prepared the wrong order and when i kindly told them they argued with me and said I can leave without ordering. What happened to customer service? Will never go back :(
Good here delicious every time!
Food is great esp the Tom Yum soup. Best I've had. Service can be slow sometimes.
Impromptu dinner date here was amazing! Dinner was awesome, good portion sizes, and the sake is always a good complement to a meal. Service was stellar. Will definitely be back again! Try the gaprow!
Personalized service even on a Saturday evening. Food was made to order, spice level was specific for each member of our party.
I said to myself that if their Shrimp Rolls are good then I will go back and try their food. I tried their Shrimp Rolls today and they exceeded my expectations. I cant wait to go back to try one of their dishes!
Wonderful food and wonderful staff. I've been going here for years and I love it.
charged me for food i didn’t order and one of the workers started giving attitude.
I didn't like my dinner but I think I made a bad choice for myself. Next time I'm going to stay in my comfort zone.
Spices was a great date night. Super delicious, wide selection, and felt very well taken care of by staff.
This place was amazing when it first opened but lately the food has been kind of hit or miss. Some days the flavors are on point, lots of sauce, lots of ingredients. Others things are bland or taste like they needed to cook longer to let flavors meld, hardly any sauce, things are kind of under cooked, and watery. I used to come here all the time but I've been coming less and less lately because of it. Also I still miss the curry puffs.
I love this place. The rice was very light and made without the heavy oil taste you get with most Chinese food places. I like my combo fried rice with extra onion, spicy. I don't think I will ever eat regular Chinese again. This food was a great experience. I go here weekly now!
One of our favorite Asian style restaurants. The chicken Pad Thai is excellent and everything seems cooked to order. They have a great menu.
Do not go there the owner the lady and her daughter are so rude they ripped me off they charged $10 extra to my bill. They forged it to look like I paid $10 extra in tip when I did not. The mother is so rude the daughter was threatening me they just would not stop arguing it was the most uncomfortable experience nobody should go there and get treated like that they're all miserable standing around gossiping. I will be calling my credit card company tomorrow so they can reverse the charges these people are a rip-off
So disappointed! We ate in the restaurant a few months ago and the food was really good. Tonight we got carry out. Our pad see ew had zero sauce, and the phad thai had vermicelli noodles and barely chewable beef.
Just had a lovely dinner here. Wonderful attentive staff and amazing food.
We have been enjoying Spices for years. The food is really good, the service is friendly, and I have yet to be disappointed.
I have been to spices a handful of times but the last two times I have been there in the last 6 months the restaurant reeks of cigarette smoke. I think the kitchen workers are smoking in the back and it's awful. The food is pretty good but I won't waste any more money there until they fix the cigarette problem
Tom Yum soup was perfect. Absolutely incredible balance and flavor 10/10
Fried Chicken dumplings were good. 7.5/10
Yellow Chicken Curry 9/10
I love this place. The the staff is outstanding. They are super friendly and service is amazing. The food is also really good. I typically get the spicy stir fry with fried rice. Love the perfectly stir fried veggies and the spicy sauce is great.
The best kept secret in Northtown
Great little spot with a very convenient location.
Awesome food! Love the Pad Thai!
So for 15.99 I need a full container of soup. Smh give me what I pay for… I would never be petty and lie about something like this, just want what I pay for!
Orange Sesame Chicken: Sauce watery, too salty AND too sweet, chicken dry over-fried so edges would break your teeth. "Fried " rice was NOT FRIED, but white rice overcooked, matted together with 5 peas, 3 carrot shavings in a pint. Waitress saw my cane & took as opportunity to ask me if I was still driving and regale me with story of near accident with elderly man who almost caused her an accident. Have a good day!
Super fantastic Mango Sticky (Black) Rice! Delicious. Thank you so much.
I went for drunken noodles, but they are unavailable during lunch. So, I got the chicken pad Thai. It had so much flavor, with the right amount of spice, and a good size portion. I’ll definitely be back.
Great food friendly service overall amazing experience and the atmosphere is warm . If you are in the area check this amazing Asian restaurant.
My husband and I used to order food from here fairly consistently for take out nights. Unfortunately we found a very large black hair in one of the spring rolls and we have been turned off since. I hope the food has improved
Ima be honest. We spent 80 dollars to feed our family and not one of us (4) people took 5 bites. The food didnt favor my taste buds at all it was horrible no flavor dry I asked for lo mein noodles I received what looked like ramen noodles with no flavor and couldn't pull them lose with a fork. I ordered the general chicken and was disappointed only thing I say were decent were the crab rangoons. Will never be returning. Could of went to the corner asian/Chinese spot for less money and better tasting food. 80 dollars completely wasted!!
Stopped in on a whim and got some lo mein and an order of generals chicken to go. It was super yummy! And ready really fast. I appreciated all the fresh veggies.
Food is a little more fresh than your run-of-mill Chinese take out place. For the $ you’re going to get a nice tasty meal, not a pile of leftovers. It’s also a place I wouldn’t mind sitting down to eat (unlike your average Chinese take-out place!)
We will be back!
We’d been on the hunt for a new Chinese takeout place when someone suggested we try Spices. Though their specialty is Thai, they provide similar Chinese takeout comfort-food menu items and their Thai specialties are lovely. They’re always nice—even bringing food to my car with a sleeping toddler. Tom Yum soup has become a favorite for colds and my partner prefers the spicy chicken. We love supporting them.
Me Gusta la comida tahi
I drive all the way from Belton for the shrimp rolls!!! Those things are amazing!
Food was good but expensive. We got there at 8 pm it's advertised as open till 9. We ordered our food and ate it. Someone tried to come inside at 837 and they told him no we close at 9. I asked our waitress if we could order crab rangoon to go and she came back and said the staff already put cleaning chemicals on the kitchen. In my opinion it's very un professional to close the kitchen before your advertised closing time. Now out daughter wont have anything to eat because the staff didn't want to work until 9. I Won't be back.
I ordered medium spice orange chicken and fried rice after being discouraged from ordering hot. There was no spice… at all. And my “fried” rice was steamed rice with peas and carrots thrown on top. Literally 0 flavor, 0 spices. Crab Rangoons were also flavorless and had a strange texture..
I haven’t been this disappointed by a meal in a long time.
The food was absolutely AMAZING and the people were so friendly!! Just found out new favorite spot
Tried this for the first time as a to go order for work. The lady messed up my dish but offered to fix it and was very respectful and gave great service. The food it's self was ok. The chicken was dry and the sauce was subpar but the fried rice was the best part in which why it was saved from a 1 star. I'll have to go again to try this place again and dine in to see if the food is any better
The first time I had this it was through DoorDash....and it was amazing! I got the medium heat and it was a perfect sweet heat! So...we had to go and eat there...and they did NOT disappoint! Sweet baby jesus they're food is absolutely amazing dining in! The portions are huge! You definitely get your money and your taste buds worth!!! The staff was super friendly as well! Will definitely be going back here....multiple times!
I dine in and take out, I have lunch and dinner here. Love the staff and food !! Phad Thai all the way. Had the fried rice it was very good….. COCONUT ICE CREAM !! I want to find out where thy get it from and buy it myself. It is amazing ! Love this place; if you can’t tell !!
Love their food n Jessy who manages the place I think
Tom kha soup
Unique, perfectly seasoned, scratch pan-Asian cuisine.
We had the tiger cried beef, Tom nua salad with beef, and beef jerky all with sticky rice. Everything was super tasty with the favorite being the salad. The jerky was the only thing that neither of us could really eat. It was very hard to chew. There were lots to try on the menu. We will definitely bring going back.
Food was over cooked.
We usually carry out.
Always really good and super quick.
Would love more detailed descriptions of menu items so we can try some new dishes.
Very good Thai food. I had the pork fried rice. Would devour again.
Such a great restaurant, my 1st visit here and I plan to return soon!
Literally the worst asian food I have ever had delivered to my door. The curry was like water and looked like vomit. The steak was very undercooked. The squid was inedible. Go anywhere else.
Love this place. But I seem to have a lot of trouble with togo orders. Given wrong food or wrong spice level. Don't seem to have these problems with dining in.
First time trying. Various tasty dishes. Will go again
WOW! What a great place for lunch or dinner. The Mee Krati noodle soup is our go to followed by the Phad Thai. A pot of tea or Thai tea rounds and the meal. You won’t be disappointed.
Food was good. Price was reasonable.
Just left there about 15 min ago my gf ordered a large meal and we barely got anything it was like a kids meal I ordered a combo fried rice and it had 2 shrimp only 2 barely any meat in it horrible place
Some of the best Thai curry in the city. It’s fantastic every time.
Great taste, friendly owner.
Staff Is Rude & Racist So Is The Manager….Ordered Calamari Tasted It , Didn’t Like It Spoke With One Of The Servers To Get The It Off The Table It Remove It From Our Ticket Because No One Was Eating It & We All Didn’t Like It….Staff Came Back Spoke To Me Unprofessionally Told Me “ I Wouldn’t Like The Answer “ & When I Asked To Speak To The Manager She Was Rude , Putting Her Hands In My Face, talking & spiting at the same time …Had Me & My Friends Fearing For Out Safety . & Told Us We Had To Still Pay For It As We Told Her We Didn’t Want It . We Stay To Continue Our Meal & When It Was Time To Pay The Staff Literally Sat & Sideeye Us Because We Was splitting Out Tab 4 Ways, 3 Had Cars While I Had Cash . Our Server Then Started To Speak To Me As I Was Gonna Run Off A Already 75% Paid Tab & When We Processed To Give Her All Our Cards & Cash Since She Claimed She Couldn’t Run The Transaction Without Everything….Went Up Front & Charged One Card The Entire Amount Of Our Meal & When We Asked To Speak To The Manger Again Staff Told Us She Wasn’t Gonna Speak To Us & When I Seen Her Come Up From & Asked To Speak To Her Cause How Do You Not Split A 400 Tab 4 Ways & We Specifically Told You That’s What We Was Doing, The Manager At The Establishment Told Me Straight To My Face She Didn’t Have To Speak To Me & Also Never Did Nothing About Carding One Card The Total of The Whole Ticket !!
Good food, good service, atmosphere is OK. Prices are reasonable. I really don't have anything bad to say. The green bean dinner and fried egg rolls were good. I had a couple of bites of the red curry soup, and that was quite good. I would probably have that the next time. I always appreciate vegan options, and the tofu was a good addition.
We got the basil fried rice and it was top 5 fried rices ever. Warning: if you can’t handle spice, go down a spice level. Awesome food and great service!
The food here is pretty good, I've had generals chicken and orange chicken along with a few random sides. The waiting staff was friendly and fast, the prices werent crazy and the food came out quickly. Spices is everything you want if you are looking for a decent place to eat.
Very good food, location, quality and pricing. We dine in and order food to go
Great food & service! I loved the Penang & sticky rice, as well as the crab rangoon. My husband & I plan to return soon.
Very rude the owner daughter.
It was a lovely experience. I visited Spices with my friends and their moms for my birthday. The staff was amazing and so was the food! The staff all worked together to serve us, and they were so sincere in everything they did. They surprised me with their yummy Taro ice cream on the house and gave my mom their coconut ice cream. I would TOTALLY visit again and recommend Spices. Delicious food and kindhearted people 10/10
The best crab Rangoon on Burlington! Sweet and sour chicken is ok. The meat chunks should be smaller in my opinion. Each piece of meat is the size of a
The food here is WONDERFUL! I've had roast duck other places, but this is by far the best (and most consistent) I've found.
They have larger portions at a very reasonable price, and all the food is what you would expect when ordering. There is a lot of flavor, and nothing on the menu has disappointed.
Got the general tso, and no one ever makes it spicy.... well they did and it was amazing.
It is rare in this day and age to find true comrades behind the bar at a restaurant, much less people who will extend a helping hand to you in a time of need. My best friend and I had just enjoyed another delicious meal on par with the other exquisite dishes we’ve had at spices, when, upon sticking the key in the ignition we found his car to be dead as a doornail. We went inside to ask for a jump and the boys at spices went above and beyond. Nate came out and used our jumper cables, and despite valiant attempts, our car would not start. Now, at this point, the shop had closed, and we were just waiting for our ride home, which we could’ve done in the car, but because these champs are ambassadors of service, they invited us inside to wait. While we waited on our ride, these guys made us feel right at home, and made us permanent fanboys of this culinary institute. Thank you for all the help tonight. Good luck in Alaska to Nate and Long love spices!!
Didn’t receive the crab rangoon I ordered. This happens ALL the time with DoorDash. Is it really that hard to check that all ordered items have been included in the delivery?
Good Thai food, the better half loved their Tom yum soup. I liked the red curry.
Service was very slow. There were three of us and I was almost done when the last in our party got their food. Phad Thai smelled and tasted smokey like something burned next to it. Sesame orange chicken was dry and tough. Shrimp rolls were very good, though. Should have just ordered appetizers I guess. Won't be back. Too bad. Wait staff were very courteous.
Server was good, but the food took quite a while to prepare and was unimpressive when it finally arrived.
First of all the restaurant was tastefully decorated, clean and liked the booths for more privacy. The service was just right. The Red Curry was excellent and compared or exceeded my other favorite Thai. Crab Rangoon was light and tasty as were the spring rolls. The 4 piece Chicken Satay was equivalent to two whole chicken breasts and would be perfect for those not into Asian food and needed an alternative entree. The menu selections were numerous, would be almost impossible not to find something to your liking. Lunch selections were $2 less than at dinner and overall for this kind of food the prices were reasonable. Oh and their tea was different from other Jasmines delicious. Needless to say I will be back many times. This place is a treasure for the Northland
Great food. Service was pretty good—served quickly.
Food was good boba tea was trash the boba was clumpy and old like candy that sat in water too long
Service was awesome, food was fantastic, prices were very reasonable. It came out fast, hot, and tasty. I was pleasantly surprised w my visit and will be back when I’m in town next.
The flavors are delicious. Hot tea was rich and good. Fried chicken dumplings amazing! Definitely recommend this place!
If I can give it zero I would like to give it
This used to be my favorite restaurant but now not anymore i went there with my 2 kid we went there at the last hour b4 it close we thought we going to have a yummy dinner and we order duck noodle soup and some other noodles the soup are so cold and the meat un cook it kinda smell like left over food my kids don’t like it and we don’t finish the food. That was the last time I go.
This place made me feel so close to home💕 I’m from Idaho and my family is Laotian and not having family here makes me really miss my family but tasting this food made me really feel close to my family by far the best Thai restaurant!! The Larb was amazing!! The thum mak hoong was amazing!! The fried rice was amazing!!! The steak was perfect to perfection, and everything else was perfect!!! I will be going back again soon!!
Spices is a nice little restaurant tucked into a strip mall next to a gas station in NKC.
I used to frequent more often with coworkers when I worked down the road, but yesterday was my first time back after being away for a year or two.
Luckily, their food is still good! The service was fairly quick and friendly enough. They list on their website that they have vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes. I think the main thing is to ask them to omit egg and/or fish sauce from certain dishes.
I had the massaman curry (the waiter confirmed it was vegan as-is) and found it to be delicious. I ordered it "Thai hot" however, I didn't find it overpoweringly spicy, but then again, I'm (more than) a bit of a spice junkie. My friend got the Pad Thai medium and said it was burning her tongue and that she wished she had gotten it mild. YMMV.
Best Thai food I've ever had!!! Expand your horizon and try spring other than pad thai, everything on the menu is fabulous
Great service, nice environment. Our food came out very quickly, even tho they were understaffed. Food was great. Would definitely try again.
I use to give them 1 start because I was new in town I didn't know thing was expensive but now I know and live here for 3 years I think spices Asian I give them a 4 star there good and tasty for the price your paying 😋. I have recommended people here more then 50 people and they like it !! I recommend u too!!
