First time customer missing Thai food, so I decided to try them. Heat level was totally inconsistent for the 3 items ordered as little spice. Too much sugar in the Pork Pad Thai dish and when told about the problem they would not remake it! Worst Thai food I have ever eaten! Don’t go here!

Unfortunately, the food was just not up to par for what we’ve seen in other Thai restaurants. The Pad Thai was cloyingly sweet, with a slight ketchupy taste. The Panang Curry was better, but still not at peak flavor, and much more soupy that I’ve come to expect from Thai curries. In addition, we weren’t asked for our preferred spice level for the food, so the panang was mild to medium, and the Pad Thai completely lacked any heat.

Horrible what a rip off stay away overcooked noodles to the point of mush and they put tomato sauce on pad thai i did not even resemble pad thai these people are just taking your money they know nothing about cooking asian food just cook it to death and throw it on a plate

We called to ask if there were any vegan appetizers. They said they could make vegan spring rolls, so we ordered some, but they came with chicken and shrimp in them. Fried tofu appetizer was super soggy as well.

I always enjoy their food. Crabrangoon and their Thai fried rice is delicious and worth every penny.

First time and not the last!

We used to come here a lot. Unfortunately, things are just not the same. This time we ordered the green curry, which tasted like water and hot sauce, along with a fried rice with no spice (asked for medium). When the food was ready and we were doing a carry out, they placed it on a table and let it sit there until I asked for it rather than letting us know it was ready. Unfortunately, like I said, this will be the last time because the time before this, they gave us the wrong food ( which was not able to be eaten due to personal dietary allergies) and they refunded us less than $1.00. Waste of food, money, time and gas to keep getting disappointed. This stinks. It was our go to for out of town guests.

Tonight at 8:40pm I walked into restaurant with 1 other person. There was 2 tables full so about 7 people in restaurant. A brunette women comes from kitchen says we are closed. The open sign is turned off ma’am. I said yes but ur sign says open till 9:30pm still good 45 mins. Oh she says we changed our hours online to 9pm. No you didn’t cuz I checked online on my phone before deciding to come here. Online also says 9:30pm. This is 3 times this has happened to me at Tasty Thai in liberty Mo. 3 times in this year I have walked into restaurant at 8:30-8:45pm and they turn me away! If the sign says open til 9:30pm online says open til 9:30pm then u need to serve till 9:30pm I’m very disappointed and will probably never go back to tasty Thai in liberty .. the brunette women thinking she runs that place is I’m sure turning away a lot of other customers also. This is not how you do business and you don’t belong in the business of serving people. She clearly lied and turned us away due to laziness!

We ordered through Grub Hub this evening. Grub Hub did great! We ordered Pangang pork, substitute chicken and not spicy. Received pork and med. spicy. Not good on either. Ordered a Panang pork, no meat and med. spicy We received it with pork. Another not good. If they don't read the notes with each order, it doesn't make sense to order from them. Not happy campers at this house. Again, Grub Hub did great! It was all the restaurant.

Unfortunately this place has gone a very long way down hill. We have used it for years for a growing family. The service was great. Not anymore. Don't receive all our delivery as some of the order didn't make it out of the restaurant. There was a young person on the phone telling us to come and pick it up. We explained we paid for delivery. There was a manager (we assume) telling the youngster what to say rather than taking the call. Says a lot. We won't be using them again.

I had the Poo Thong two days ago while dining in and they were amazing. I ordered delivery through Door Dash today and the Poo Thong was nothing like it was two days ago. It was basically Crab Rangoon only smaller. Other than that I love this place!

The time said on the door 10pm… never heard of full service kitchen closing at 35mins before 10pm. I understand 15mins before closing. It’s the weekend, and she said she the owner doesn’t care about my business. The tells you HOW they prepare your food with love and respect. Anyway who has passion for cooking knows that a full service kitchen do not close early. Now I see why, this restaurant failing customer service. It’s a shame that they serve great food but horrible service…

We tried Tasty Thai for the first time today. Spring rolls are a must order. Large with shrimp and chicken. My wife has the pad Thai and I had another noodle dish, both were excellent and spiced as we ordered. Great place for Thai food.

This food made me and my bf horribly sick.

The cucumber salad wasn’t my favorite, but I let it sit in the fridge over night in the sauce and it was much better :) The crab ragoons were amazing, I could eat 100 of these. I got the Pad see eiw and it was fantastic, I got medium spicy and it was a little too much for me but was still really good. We also got the pad thai medium spicy, and my gf can handle a lot of spice and it was too much for her as well. So my only recommendation is get the spice level below what you think you can handle! Love this place, will be back for sure.

How this place has 4.5 stars is astonishing. My husband and I just came here for the first time, as we just moved to the area, and we both were pretty disappointed. The kids working there were nice, but it seemed like they didn’t really know what they were doing. My husband’s panang curry tasted freezer burned and my tom yum soup didn’t taste like Tom yum soup at all. I don’t know if they were trying to pull a fast one and didn’t think I would notice but whatever was served to me was awful. Thai food is one of my husband’s and mine favorite food so to have thought we lived close to a Thai place is disappointing. Will not be returning.

Update: Gave it another try. Food was pretty good but Do Not Order Their Boba drinks. Watery and the tapioca balls were rock hard and dry. Couldn't chew them. Paid over $8. That was so disappointing.
*First time here for me. It was okay. Ambiance not much. Very tight space. We ordered the appetizer sampler to try it all once. Nothing on there was memorable enough to try again. I had yellow curry which I asked for with no spice but it was about a 3 so I couldn't enjoy it much. I just don't care for spice much. I want to enjoy the flavors alone. My SO ordered the green curry which he enjoyed. The Thai tea was good.

Food is always hot, fresh and TASTY. They've never made a mistake in our order. They are quick to assist you when you walk in and always friendly. Never dined in but have waited in restaurant for online or call in order and the people dining in seem to be happy and well taken care of. Definitely recommend!

Let’s not start by talking about the food let’s start by talking about the honesty that this restaurant has an integrity that they show. I ordered the fire curry fried rice that I always order from them and I paid with my debit card. It was a cluttered and busy day And they were super slammed. I forgot my card and didn’t even have to call until the next day when I called not only had they forgotten my shrimp on my chicken and shrimp fried rice but they were more than happy to replace it with a new fried rice with the correct proteins , and had my debit card ready and verified my identity prior to giving it to me and did not charge me for the replacement fried rice at all. They were extremely friendly and very kind and understanding of the situation if you’re looking for somewhere to eat or your wife doesn’t know what she wants. Tasty is definitely the spot .

I got the Pad Kee Mao. They put so many chillies in it it was unedible. I like spice but every noodle you could see chillies everywhere. The great thing is there are many places that will treat me respectfully and take my money.

This particular location was very mixed. Excellent food, however they were out of plumb wine on Vallentine’s day, and also out of Thai Tea on Vallentine’s day. For a restraunt one should know to for sure stock for special holidays, and clearly management didn’t bother. Service was very poor, with the woman providing us service literally hiding her face behind her hair when she turned away from every table she interacted with. Kind of hard to serve others when you openly make yourself unable to see them trying to get your attention. It took forever to even get a bill from them, or even a water refill. Honestly? Just take and go, wonderful food Again.

The food here is so good but we always order it and pick it up. Tonight we went into the restaurant. The service was terrible. Like, beyond terrible. The two young girls barely spoke to us, just pointed at a table and put some menus down, didn’t ask us our drink order or anything. We told them we were ready to order and an adult woman came over. We gave our order and still no one asked us our drink order. Another couple came in and were seated but not spoken to and they ended up walking out. We did the same after waiting 20 minutes for food and having no drinks.

Probably won’t order carry out here anymore. So sad because the food is good.

Pad Thai was okay, but had hints of ketchup more than a flavorful sauce. Tom yum soup was a bit watered down on flavor beyond salt.

Though the service was good and the atmosphere, especially the photos on ttje wall...the food was cold in spots. The rice was sticky, almost mushy. Jasmine rice should have a firm texture and be hot and fragrant. I feel they must work on the true consistency of plating food to be hot on delivery to the table.

We’ve gone here for many years and always liked it . However , our visit in Dec 23 was actually the best yet. The Pad Thai was amazing , with an excellent spicy heat and a hint of crunchy peanut. The Panang curry was outstanding with lots of peppers and perfectly spiced.

I always love the food at Tasty Thai on Prairieview. I was looking forward to a delicious Pad Ke Mao. I asked for my dish to be seasoned HOT. What I got was far from delicious or hot. 1) service was terrible. This girl definitely didn’t want to be there. Stood at end of our table to take our order. We had questions. She whispered answers.She put water at the end of our table for us to pass around. 2) Food was cold, mushy & tasted OLD. My HOT wasn’t even seasoned, shrimp was rubbery. The baby corn was missing. 3)the curtain to the kitchen was open. Ok. But the 2 servers were back with the “chef” on their phone. 4) for the $$$ that was spent none of the 7 of us enjoyed a bite!
This is sad. Doubt they will ever read this, but hopefully someone will & avoid eating here in the evening, on a Friday. Waste of time and money!!!!!

Very good service and food. I was very pleased when a man came in and asked for something to eat because he was hungry and staff gave him food.

Good thai restaurant in the Liberty area. They also have a location on Prarie view road by Zona Rosa over there. I've always ordered fromm the liberty place. And I always get the duck curry. It's the best and always consistent flavors, enough for two persons. I have ordered their other dishes like their pad thai and pad see ew along with drunken noodles, tiger cry beef and papaya salad. Their fried noodles dishes were always a little too oily for me, but each their own. I will always go back for the duck curry!

They didn’t include the soup that usually comes with the lunch special. The food is usually good but now I feel like it’s hit or miss. Definitely was a waste of money today.

One of my favorite places to get Thai in the city. The staff is super nice and quick, they have great daily specials to choose from and an overall large menu.

First bite of my chicken pad thai...dry. I asked for more sauce and when it was brought out, it was cold. Poured a little on the pad thai, tasted it, and the flavor was very tomato-y. Since the food was dry and the flavor was off, I asked if I could get a different dish and have the pad thai refunded. Thanks for the less than $4 refund. I decided not to pay more after having two horrible bites of pad thai.

This place sucks! And Horrible customer service! Came here to enjoy some good Thai food and the Pad Thai Chicken food was dry, bland, and cold! The Chicken wings were bland and full of splintered bones. Ask could something else be ordered or compensated and nothing was done. I don’t know where 4.5 star come from but this place is not it! Needed my Thai food fix and found a place. I did like this place. Lunch portion was the right amount. They have medium, hot and Thai hot. I got the hot and would raye it at a 3.5 out of 5. Came with soup, whole was good and I am normally not a fan of soup, an egg roll then Rub curry. I will go back and try more dishes

I'll save you the decision: don't go here. I seriously don't write reviews like this, but I feel like I had to this time.

I will be upfront that it was a Friday night, in a busy area, but the two young people behind the counter only spoke in whispers to me.. I asked a few questions about two different meals and if they had a favorite, and they acted like I was speaking a different language to them. I ended up with Pad Thai, cause I was like, that's pretty hard to mess up... oh was i wrong. The pad thai was SO greasy and oily it immediately hurt my stomach and I had to throw it away. There goes 18 bucks literally down the toilet.

I asked them about how long it would be for my food to be ready, and again, blank stares, and finally said 15-20 minutes.

The only saving is grace is that a different woman brought me my food and was very kind. I was very courteous in the moment, because I don't know the situation of the day, but I would train the two upfront a bit more, tell them to speak up and be welcoming and change whatever oily mess I am cooking the pad thai in.

Best Tom Ka I’ve ever had….hands down.

This is one of my favorite places in Liberty to eat! It’s always delicious and fresh. My favorite things to get are either the Pad Ki Mao or the Panang Curry. Definitely suggest trying this place if you’ve never been here before. Just aim for a less busy time if you’re not a fan of being in a crowd, as the dining room here is fairly limited in seating compared to their other location.

The medium is just enough kick and had a wonderful taste to it. And the crab Rangoon were delicious, most places are hit and miss on them but not here. I will be back to try other menu items! Happened upon this restaurant on a cross country road trip. Soooo very pleasantly surprised. Friendly service. Great food came quickly. Clean restaurant. Highly suggest this restaurant!! Took some extra to go so we had it on our arrival home.

Great thai food! We stopped for some curry on a long road trip, and it was so tasty we even stopped again on our way back home! The yellow and red curry are delicious. We tried the tofu as well as chicken. They were both excellent! You won’t regret going to Tasty Thai!

Great food and great service! If you're looking for super spicy food ask for their Thai hot on any dish. Crab rangoons were also very good.
