We specialize in Authentic Thai food from the Northeast region of Thailand. This is where the owner grew up in Buriram and learned E-San style of cooking in her family restaurants. She is excited to share the culture of Thailand with Kansas City through her food.
Several locals suggested this was the best Thai in KC and it didn’t disappoint. Medium Spice builds up over the bites but not overwhelming. Delicious Crispy Spring Rolls, Crab Fried Rice, and Pad Thai. Love me some Iced Thai Coffee & Baramee’s was one of the best. Coming back for soup and Green Curry.
During my recent visit to Baramee Thai Bistro in Kansas City, I had the pleasure of trying their Pad Ka Prao, and it was a delightful experience. The dish featured a flavorful stir-fry of ground meat infused with the aromatic essence of holy basil, delivering a harmonious blend of savory and spicy notes. The accompanying fried egg added a rich, creamy texture that complemented the meal perfectly.
The ambiance of the bistro was inviting, and the staff provided attentive service throughout my visit. The menu offers a variety of classic Thai dishes, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their offerings.
If you're in the mood for Thai in KC, this remains one of the better options. To be frank, this spot couldn't survive if there were better competition. For me, it's hit-or-miss on the menu items: some are solid while others miss the mark.
The pad Thai was solid - a bit too much tamarind sauce but still tasty. The spring rolls were surprisingly good...and larger than usual. The pad kee mao was a miss: it had the heat but not the flavor. The noodles were off as well. I've had a curry dish here before that was just above average.
The service is worth noting: the staff are incredibly nice, welcoming and deliver effectively.
Clean the bathroom! This is not a truck stop!
I loved the flavor of the tom ka gai, the tiger beef and the panang. There was a lot of peanut butter in the panang and most of the food tastes a little gentrified. This seems to be a common theme in KCMO. Still excellent flavor and food quality. I like being able to see the chefs in action.
The service is quick and efficient. At night there is a lot of pick up car traffic so sitting in the window can be blinding at times.
Happy to found this authentic Thai food in Kansas City. Love the concept and friendliness. We ordered some papaya salad, Thom Ka soup as first course, and fried rice also chicken chasew for entree. However our main course come first and we ate more than half portion salad and sup came very late.
Beside those minus things we really enjoyed our food, your papaya salad best!
Delicious pad thai, good atmosphere, super fast service! I will say, I got the medium spice for my pad thai and it was a little too spicy for me. I know that is relative to everyone, but just wanted to point it out in case someone wants to try but is unsure if it'll be spicy.
Second time in Kansas. First time in this restaurant. Food is good. Atmosphere but!
I haven't even finished my good and somebody bring me the terminal to pay and leave. With a face of "pay and get out of here"
There's a sign where they limit you the time for eat up to 90 minutes. Which ok is fine. But I got here at 5.01 and left at 5.39. By the time this person brought me the terminal to pay has passed around 30 minutes or less
I'll think twice to came back
Best pad Thai I’ve had in a looong time! Medium spicy has a pretty decent kick, enough to get the nose running. Absolutely terrific flavor!
Ordered on DoorDash, but arrived hot and fresh. Will definitely order again!

The food was ok. Was very hard to eat using just my hands. The chicken was dry and rubbery.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the KC area. I get a different dish almost every time and each one is great. The staff is kind and accommodating. In the summer their patio is immaculate.
One of my new favorite Thai restaurants in Kansas City!
Sorry folks, what the FRICK was that smell? I have never smelled pad thai that weird/bad before. Poor, tasteless food, with the exception of the chicken skewers, which was the best thing on the menu. Service was not good either, another table who came in after us was serviced before us and our entrees came out before the appetizer. Unfortunately, this was not a good Thai experience, didn't use the bathrooms so can't comment. Good luck if you eat here.

La comida estaba bien con buenas cantidades. La camarera antipática. La temperatura mal regulada haciendo mucho frio o mucho calor. Hemos visto una cucaracha corriendo por el suelo.
Amazing Thai food! We had the Panang Curry and Green Curry, and both were on point – super flavorful and just the right amount of spice.
Service was great too – super friendly and fast. They made us feel right at home.
They have a small selection of drinks, but they’re done with a fun Thai twist, which was cool.
Overall, if you’re craving Thai in KC, definitely check out Baramee. We’ll be back for sure!
The food was really good. I had never tried a Singha before, it was pretty tasty. I ordered the seafood Pad Ka Prau. The pan fried egg went splendidly on top! The edamame is always a must when you're getting thai!
Never had a bad experience here. Staff are always friendly even when busy, & picking up to-gos is never a hassle. When dining in it can be a bit cramped but there's good atmosphere.
Everything was wonderful! This is our second time going there and neither time have we felt disappointed. The Pad Kew Maw with chicken is a go to!
First timer for one who loves Thai food. We were sat quickly and were waited on quickly. We ordered crab rangoons, thai, cream cheese roll, Tom ka seafood.soup, crispy shrimp broccoli stir fry, and veggies fried.rice. The food came fast...too fast! We didn't have time to eat our appetizers before the meals arrived. Not good! We felt very rushed and the servers had no personalities. They sent us a side of veggie.stir.fry and acknowledged that but didn't offer to take it back. I helped them with that decision. The rangoon was ok, the soup was just ok. It tasted watered down. All in all, just ok. Will not go back.
My first Thai experience. The experience was absolutely amazing. The food was soo good I didn't want to leave anything and asked for a to go container. The server was also very friendly and explained/answered all my questions. The decor was also very nice and interesting. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO ANYONE WANTING A NEW THAI EXPERIENCE. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Ordered the menu item specifically labeled “vegan pad sew eaew” and it had eggs in it.
Very pricey and quantity very less; Quality of the food was good! Vegan friendly!

Panang curry and shrimp fried rice were amazing.
I ordered a to-go meal and everything was soooo good! Staff was knowledgeable about vegan restrictions and are able to modify almost anything to accommodate vegans. The atmosphere inside was inviting, and food was prepared quickly.
Best Thai in KC! (Imo) Great Crab Rangoon, too.
This place is legit. A perfect find run by authentic Thai people.
We had the chicken pad thai ( medium spice).and the seafood pad thai. Both were dry, noodles were overcooked. No taste. Crab Rangoon was burnt. My steamed vegetables were ok. Will not eat there again.
Did not send all the dishes we ordered. We I called to discuss they blamed the delivery service an hung up on me. Would not refund.
Tasty and flavourful food.
Every time I come back it is excellent
Om nom nom
It's a Thai restaurant, so obviously great vegetarian and vegan options. Also delicious.
Pretty good food for the price! Everything seemed freshly made, wasn't long of a wait either. Definitely going again!
We were here on a Friday night. About 7:30. We were the first couple in line, ten minute wait. A couple was already seated at the bar. The wait was disorganized. A waitress came by to write down the names of the people in line but then she walked away. I took her pad and wrote down the names of the ten or so people in line.
We then got seated at the bar next to the couple at the bar. We ordered Panang Curry and Chicken Pad Thai. When our food came the couple next to us appeared shocked, because their order still had not been taken. I told one of the waitresses and someone who I don’t think was a waitress took their order. They eventually left without eating and they left a painting behind that they had purchased at the Art Fair. I left it with a waitress.
Our food was good, but similar to what we have had at many other places. I think they reversed the spice levels on our orders.
I would go here again if I had a yearning for Thai food, but I would tend to avoid it because of the disorganization.
Baramee is losing its touch. I ordered Pad Thai to go and this is what it looks like. There is a distinguishable difference between this and what you get when you dine in. I called to ask why there were only noodles and chicken, nothing else, and was told it cost $3 to add any other vegetable. When you go to order online there is no such option! Might be a nice place to eat but their to go service is very different. Not worth the $18.
Paid 18% tip for Dine in order which is valid .When placed a different order and paid seperately for takeout the lady said I have to pay the 18% tip for that to go order as well. Since i sat at the table when placed to go order
Best Thai, period
Great little spot. KC is famous for so many things- I think this little gem is just as important as the bbq and football that’s made KC famous. Enjoyed a wonderful Labb salad on this hot evening and it was just perfect. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy the noodles another time!
I order my food with pork and shrimp and they send only shrimp. When I called, they want me to bring the food so they can see. They lady was so rude and unpleasant instead to fix their mistake.
Very bland pad Thai. Almost no egg sprouts or onions. The boba was quite artificial looking and tasting. Good location but that is about it.
It is a delicious Thai restaurant. The service is great. If you order your dish "Thai hot", your spicy dreams will come true.
Best of the best! Fast service, great quality, dishes never disappoint. This is my go to and everyone I bring loves it. Highly recommend.
We would recommend this place any time. Their dessert mango sticky rice is the best!
Really quick service and super fresh food. Putting this on the rotation.
I’m going to be honest - I’ve tried this place 3 times and there’s nothing here that tastes great or authentic. Everyone suggested we eat here - and my husband lived in Southeast Asia for years and loves Thai - and each time has been worse than the time before.
We’ve tried Tom Yum, Papaya Salad (that was good), pad thai, pad see woo, panang curry, green curry, and mango sticky rice (also good).
The food is never as spicy as you order - so thai hot isn’t hot at all. It all comes out bland, or just not cooked well.
The last time we ordered takeout it was inedible - just bland and cold and slimy. The shrimp wasn’t cleaned, deveined, or de-tailed, and there was no spice to our Thai hot dish. We called, and when we just asked for a refund they said we had to bring back all the food and come in person. To be fair, we’ve never asked for a refund before on a meal, so I don’t know if that’s a typical demand, but it felt unnecessary to bring all the food back and drive 30 minutes with it.
I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but this is absolutely the most overhyped Thai in KC. We will not go back. I would recommend Waldo Thai, Tasty Thai, Spices, and Thai Orchid instead.
This is my favorite Thai place in KC! Their Thai hot is always on point. Crab Rangoons are fire. The indoor/outdoor open seating has a great vibe to it. Thai tea is exceptional also. Highly recommend if you love Thai
It was so hot in there. They brought water with no ice. I couldn't even make it past the appetizer. The chicken satay was alright but was miserable eating it due to the atmosphere.
Top flight thai food! This place knows how to cook that authentic Thai flavors. I came here with my coworkers and everything we tried was bomb. I got the thai fried rice, one of my favorite dishes and I got the hot level spicy and it was perfect. The red curry was also very tasty. Other items tried were pad thai, crispy egg rolls and papaya salad. All are recommended. Would definitely eat here again given the chance.
Food and service were great!
My go to places for Thai food in KC!! Food is amazing, service can be better. Love the fried rices and pad Thai.
Happy to found this authentic Thai food in Kansas City. Love the concept and friendliness. We ordered some papaya salad, Thom Ka soup as first course, and fried rice also chicken chasew for entree. However our main course come first and we ate more than half portion salad and sup came very late.

Delicious and great location
eating while packing Togo food..? I have never seen such kiddish behavior by a waitress..
Baramee rules. My favorite Thai in KCMO
I love this place! Ultimate Thai-comfort food. I can never decide what to order because I want it all. I'm never disappointed.
Visits to Barabee are always enjoyable - no pics this visit. a started with Thai wings and crab Rangoon to share! We had Massaman curry with chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai.
Absolutely delicious! There was no waiting into restaurant on Saturday May 9 :6p. Crowds are usually in abundance...many pick up orders. Patio was open beautiful weather.
Highly recommend
Good.
Third time ordering take out. This time was Pad Thai w/ chicken and drunken noodle with chicken. Spicy powder is $0.75 plus tax she says. She tells me “I’m not the owner and they are not here.” The bill looked high so i discover there is double tax due to “tourism” tax. Can’t get a print out receipt. Also it’s 80 degrees outside but the doors are opened and no AC.
Food quality seems to be continually declining. Chicken is almost jerked dry.
Pad Thai - 6/10
- how do you not have green onions?
- decent.
Drunken noodle - 2/10
- it’s not wide Thai noodle it’s Chinese noodle
- it’s so salty with no spice
I rather go to lulu’s noodle house at this point
Would not recommend. Also prices are $$$ for Thai food but I guess if you don’t have any other choice than get Thai food NOT cooked by Thai cook.
Overrated. The food is decent by midwestern standards but they nickel and dime (extra charge for veggies in the curry, really?). Also the server was rude and inattentive.
My fiance and I love the food here. The curries, fried rice, soup, noodles, all of it. Must try if you enjoy Thai food. We always leave with our bellies full and very happy.
Delicious food! If I ever come back to Kansas I’ll eat there!
We love the food, the service, and the ambiance. The prices are reasonable, and the food comes quickly. Our fave! And we love to see Toon!
After being away from Kansas City for a couple years I have not tried many restaurants in town. So, as I am putting different restaurants on my list this was one of them because I was craving crap fried rice. The atmosphere was great the decorations and the point location downtown Kansas City Missouri. I had attempted to place my order online and for some odd reason, once I arrived at the restaurant I noticed that it did not go through. Prior to noticing that, the service from the manager? Owner? Was very unsavory. Almost a little bit uncomfortable with her aura and unpleasant or maybe I'll just say unhappy service towards me. Like I said, maybe it was because of me not seeing that my order didnt go through and maybe she thought I was trying to get over on her for no reason. Anyway, everything was great minus that service. I'll stick with my regular location for the crab fried rice now that I know I'm not particularly welcomed in there. Great flavor!🦀 Try it out folks!
One of the worst pad Thai I’ve ever had. No cilantro, no peanuts, no lime, no mung bean sprouts or green onion. I ordered it mild but there was zero spice. The sauce was quite bland as well.
The Shrimp fresh rolls were mostly lettuce with no Thai basil, the key ingredient. Quite disappointing and no where near authentic quality.
Also there were no utensils or napkins in the to go bag. I received the order fairly quickly though. I’d prefer quality, however, for $46.00
We went in on Saturday night with a group of 4 people. We had to wait about 15 min for the table but that's understandable. Even tho it was a dinner rush Food came out really fast and everything was really good. Our lady who helped us, eve, was very kind and very attentive. She made sure that we got everything that we ordered. Definitely will be back again!
Baramee smashes it out of the park every visit. Whether you're dining in or taking food to-go, you can expect the food to be of high quality.
The food was good, I definitely will be back, but I will probably order take out because of the service. They zoomed passed us and we had to get their attention and ask for everything because they won't check up on us or fill drinks, etc.. They told us wait 5-10 min. To be seated and then forgot us and sat another couple ahead of us. And after all the poor service they asked for a tip!
They have a limit of 49 people in the main dining area so it is a tight sitting situation but I don't mind but it might bother some. My biggest qualm is the service. Order take out or door dash because the food was amazing and they make it reasonably quick. Parking is also very tight.
From the moment you walk in, you know this place is special. I’ve been to countless Thai restaurants that claim to be AUTHENTIC, but this one takes the cake! When I arrived, I was greeted by kind staff who seated me. I tried the classic drunken noodles and gosh I was surprised. So good!!! It as almost like I was transported to Thailand. This dish paired with my Singha Thai beer was a match made in heaven. The service was top notch, I felt very spoiled as staff buzzed around the restaurant waiting on me hand and foot. I was absolutely thrilled by the care taken by Toon (the manager) and staff provided me during my visit. I would rate Baramee Thai 10/10 on food and service. I couldn’t be more satisfied and will be back!
Food is always amazing! For some reason the past couple visits we have noticed some issues with service. Upon walking in, there was no wait. We, just the two of us noticed three or so tables open. Again, no wait. The hostess/server looked at us a couple of times only to look away. It appeared that they didn’t want to seat us because the tables were larger tables that were open. Finally someone greeted then sat us. We ate our meal rather quickly to be rushed away. We have been to this restaurant Many times. We have also recommended too many family and friends. We are very disappointed in tonight’s experience. One of the waitresses was very cold and didn’t have much to say to us. Again the food was great, but the service was less than mediocre. It’s very disappointing since service is part of the experience! I really hope it improves!
Food was really good, period. That is the only good thing about this restaurant. We walk in and from the get go, the server gave us attitude for some reason. I think it was because it was my wife and I and they only had 4 tops available. We order the food, apps and a pot of soup, which were great!! Nobody came to check on us to see if we needed refills, or how the food was. Had servers eating in the kitchen area and at a table across from us. The whole experience was awful. Service was non existent. And from what I could see there were several health violations during service hours.. will be a long time before we go back.
100/10 on everything. The smells hit me as soon as I got out of my car (down the street!) Wonderful service, food came out so fast, and THE FOOD ITSELF!!! So good! IMO the best Thai food in the city. Just look at this perfect plate of pad see ew. I asked for medium spice and it was just right - enough to make my nose run a bit but not so much that I couldn’t taste anything else. Just so good. I only drank water but they have a good cocktail/wine/beer list.
Excellent food. We r from NJ and r used to very good Burmese and thai food. And this rates right among the best ones in NJ!! Lot of vegetarian choices. The serving size is huge so be careful while ordering!! We could not finish what we ordered! Very satisfied. Glad we ate here!
Our new favorite Thai restaurant!! Like many places downtown, parking can be a hit or miss.
Been going here for lunch every once in a while for the last couple of weeks. After just my 3rd visit, not only was I recognized. But the ladies here 1. Knew that I'm frequently in a hurry, and 2. Knew that I use tap to pay, so when I finished my pork panang curry (phenomenal dish) one of the ladies brought the payment processor over to my table for me to use. That kind of service is unheard of. I love it. Thank you
Baramee has become my new go-to Thai restaurant in town. Great for both weekday lunch option as well as dinner since their service is quick without compromising the quality and taste of food.
Their spice levels are accurate, unlike some Thai places that serve very spicy food as mild or vice versa. Their cocktails are good as well and they don't skimp on their alcohol.
Highly recommend their curries and pad thai, as well as spring rolls. You can taste the freshness in their food. All of the ladies who work there are very courteous and friendly.
Parking is fairly limited, street parking out front but not terrible to park a few blocks away and walk. There are some parking lots closeby, but some are permit only and some are paid parking. Also very close to the streercar station.
We had another fantastic dinner at Baramee. We've eaten here before and certainly will again. Service was attentive and courteous and the prices are very reasonable. Portions are generous and the food is excellent. Another of our party commented that it's the most authentically spicy Thai to be had in KC. I commented to the server that I requested a "gentle medium" as I'm not a fan of overly spicy. Being a white boy, requesting mild at most Thai restaurants results in bland and medium can be risky. The server stated "I got you" and she did; it was perfectly prepared. This was the first time we'd had their crab rangoon and it similarly was amazing - thin crispy wontons with just the right amount of filling and a delicately flavorful sauce. We had nothing missing or that we would change from our meals. As noted, we'll be back!
My go to spot for curry, always a great experience!
We came yesterday for lunch and we had to come back here again today. Service is very good as always and the food is always great. Big thanks to toon she is happy and fun and goes out of her way to make you feel at home.
Since the last time I have been to Baramee the restaurant went downhill. The restrooms were dirty, the dining area was unorganized, the service was horrible and the food was subpar at best. The older lady server was rude and inattentive. I’ll never go back. There are plenty other good Thai restaurants in town.
Went in for lunch and got seated. One side of the restaurant was completely full with people sitting literally one foot from each other, the other side was completely empty. Asked to sit on the other side and was told that it didnt make any difference. Obviously it does if we asked and didnt want to pile in on other people talking and eating without us at their elbows. Eating on top of other people was not desirable when there were plenty of other tables. Then waited 15 mins for someone to come over to take an order so we left. Have eaten here before and the food is good. Just a bad day maybe.
Spent the weekend in Kansas City and this was one of my highlights! The food is absolutely amazing and lived up to all the reviews. Our favorite is the Panang Curry!!!!
Very nice wait staff and some of the best Thai food ive ever had. I always visit this place at least once when i am in town!
Also very reasonably priced for a proper sit down restaurant.
Disgusting doesn’t taste like anything. Noodles extremely dry and bland. Not worth the money at all. Worst Thai place in Kansas City don’t go here and definitely don’t get the pad Thai or pad see ew. Save ur money I had to get something else to eat for lunch.
Tastes amazing
Horrible!! Food smell was the warning the beginning and the ending,Spring rolls veg i paid for, the Pad Thai veg I didn't pay for if I would've tried giving that food to a homeless person It would have been a fight, and a dog would've beaten me.
Great food, terrible cocktails, good atmosphere! I love their food but it’s very $$ for Thai food. We spilt chicken pad Thai and got a cocktail each and it was $40 with out tip.
Nice
Went here on a busy Friday night and the service was extremely fast! Ordered the green curry and crab rangoons and both were delicious and well seasoned. Definitely plan on coming back whenever I’m in the area.
small location with good service and one of the better pad thais I’ve had while traveling. The portion amount is very generous and sauce used was very flavorful and not much of a sweet note I have found at other locations. Lunch on a Saturday was pretty busy, but I sat at the bar with no issue. Service was efficient and they accept contactless payments.
Very good food , it is my first time here . I really like it!!!
Very good, service was good and the place was packed which is always a good sign.
Amazing food, amazing service and a very fun vibe. We love eating in, but we have also had great experiences taking out. Toon is so easy to work with if you are planning a larger event. She helped us plan for a dinner group and a business lunch. Always a hit!
Wow, wow, WOW! I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is insane, the staff is so sweet, and the location is in a great part of downtown. We got here just before the rush, and the line was out the door for good reason! They have a huge menu which is great. The sample appetizer is a must, so good. The inside is very intimate, you can see the kitchen staff cooking while you wait. Very great place and I would absolutely recommend! I will def be coming here and bringing friends every single time! 11/10!
Delish Thai food in the Crossroads! Fast service.
Cozy vibes, delicious food. The mango sticky rice is one of the best I've had.
This place is great and the service is wonderful. Very friendly and the food, so delish!
Really cramped and loud. Wouldn't bother me if the prices weren't so high. When I'm paying 23$ for noodles. I don't want to be a foot away from the next table. My wife has an office in Thailand and said their spices they serve a tray of are spot on. The food is good. Just crowded for my taste but some people like that.
Clear your calendars, get a babysitter and ask off work because it took damn near 3 HOURS to get our food
Small Thai restaurant with genuine, delicious, Thai food.
We had the Tom Kha Gai, one of the curries, and a Pad Thai which were all wonderfully flavorful and spicy in just the right ways.
Piss poor service. They care more about take out orders than they do dine in. They have no idea how to run a restaurant.
I hate to have to leave this review, but this is a health department issue that I can’t ignore. My friends and I ordered for delivery we spent $100, my friend opened their rice to find a live cockroach. We all immediately threw our food out. This is really disgusting. Please beware.
The atmosphere here is very appealing. The service was kind but blunt and slightly off putting. The appetizers were tremendous however, the main pad Thai dish was disappointing.
Amazing pad Thai!!
Solid Thai place that can make it "Thai Spicy"!
Req: Green Curry, Pad See Ew
Very quick service and very good food. Probably one of the better places around KC to have Thai food
Been coming here for years !!!This is the best Thai place to eat in kc the service is allways great the food is heavenly and the Thai Iced tea is a must !!! It's perfect for these cold days :)
The experience wasn't that great. We'd been planning to visit this place for months and it was okay but it's mostly the service that fell short.
They are either not equipped for large groups or they were having an off night. Just about all of our orders were incorrect. I ordered a coke with no ice and they brought it out half filled. I had to ask if there were refills because it seemed like such an odd thing to do (there were). The lady seemed frustrated by this.
They got my other wrong three times and tried to charge me extra for the mistake they made. They finally resolved that. I decided to pay cash for everything else but warning, they will keep your change without asking. Which was kind of rude. Even if it's small change, that adds up when we're already tipping nicely for bad service.
It was pretty busy when we got there and we didn't wait too long for a big group. There was a couple in front of us that had six people and said they were told to call an hour early and they could make reservations. Not true. They waited longer than us to be seated. There are NO reservations, even if it's within an hour. If someone gets there before you then it's theirs.
The food itself was mostly tasty. The shrimp spring rolls were awful but the curry and crab rangoon were good. The atmosphere inside is fun but the area outside could use some love.
I was told there's a parking lot behind or to the side of the building but I parked on the street.
Best Thai in the city
Sitting here waiting on a delivery order that was supposed to be here 30 minutes ago. Tried to call the restaurant and they have apparently taken the phone off the hook. Worst delivery service ever.
This place had really great Panang Curry! Excellent portion size and wonderful deep flavor. The only reason I docked a star in the food section is because their fresh soft spring roll were very bland and didn’t have any herbs in it. Major bummer. The service was quick and that staff was very nice! Would definitely go there again, I just wouldn’t get the fresh spring rolls.
My girlfriend, who has a relatively severe peanut allergy, was assured by our server that the dish she was ordering had no peanuts in it. After two bites, her lips began to swell, at which point we called over the server to confirm again that there were no peanuts in the dish. She walked over to the kitchen and asked, seemingly for the first time, and returned to us with the news that there were, indeed, peanuts in the dish. We of course were forced to leave before she could finish her dinner or drink as the reaction quickly worsened.
Fortunately, she was fine after a miserable night and lots of antihistamines, but this was totally avoidable and extremely frustrating. I understand that peanuts are common in Thai food, but I would still expect some precautions, or at least the tiniest amount of consideration when a patron specifically informs you of their allergy.
Great Thai food - handmade crab rangoons - the little ones that are truly the best! Plus delish steamed veggies/fresh veggies in all their dishes and a great balance of flavors. Super nice staff. Will be back!
Had another meal on the patio here, love this place !!! Panang curry, Thai cashew noodles, papaya salad is my craving
This place has amazing food. Everything tastes incredible. They’re always busy. Only giving 3 stars for the service because one of the servers was pretty rude to one of colleague who was visiting from Mexico.
Very good.
Skip the soft spring rolls. They were plain and needed basil or at least a third veg. Loved the Penang curry and Thai was pretty good too.
IMO This is the best Thai restaurant in KC . Thier pad thai, massaman curry is out of this world.
Very good food and nice service
When I visited with my sister we ordered: the Pad Ka Prao, crunchy spring rolls, Pad thai, and the crab rangoons.
The Pad Ka Prao at a medium spice level was amazing. I am not typically a person who likes spicy things, bit the medium was at a prefect level for me.
The Pad Thai at a mild level spiciness and just not my cup of tea, but my sister thought it was really good. It was not spicy at all which I was totally ok with. My sister thought it would have been even better at a medium spice level though.
The cruchy spring roles where good nothing too special about them. They are exactly what you would expect to get and tasted good.
The Crab Rangoon were really good and they normally serve 8, but my sister and I didn't think we could finish all of them. We asked and they said that they could do a half order for us!
The customer service was great.
The food was good and plenty.
Honestly… I married a winner because my husband ended up sharing his noodles with me.
😋 thankfully the portions were very generous and my husband loves me because the spicy paid Thai was delicious 🤤)
I’m going to give an honest review below…
I did t expect so much iceberg lettuce and the sweet and sour sauce really didn’t help the situation.
This place always delivers; I first went there in 2020 and returned a few months ago. The food was so good my coworker and I went back the second time with other colleagues.
I highly recommend this place.
Such a great Thai Restaurant, open air atmosphere, with a cool vibe, don't be afraid to say hello to your neighbors.
Ordered it for the first time tonight. Ordered a vegetarian pad Thai with tofu, I’m allergic to meat and have never had a problem with finding meat in my food anywhere else. My husband brought it home (he ordered pad Thai with chicken) and mine had tofu in it but I found small pieces of chicken in it after eating a quarter of it. So if you have allergies, this place is not allergy friendly. I haven’t had meat in 9 months, hoping I’m not terribly sick all night. They did refund us for that order that had accidental chicken and were very apologetic. Either way, shouldn’t have had chicken in my dish and won’t be able to go back out of safety precaution
Cute little Thai restaurant in the downtown Kansas City area. Very authentic food, great service, reasonably priced and walking distance to most areas.
One of the best Thai restaurants in the city. Large portions, quick friendly service, cool atmosphere in the Crossroads.
Got takeout. Very tasty and good proportions
Absolutely wonderful food and experience; they had to remake my mom’s dish and they were so nice and gracious about it. Will definitely be back!!
By far one of my favorite Thai spots in KC. I'm here probably 2-3 times a month. All the staff is super amazing, the food is awesome (and authentic) and I just love the atmosphere. Definitely need to go!
My favorite Thai restaurant in Kansas City!
This place is the bees knees. I was introduced to Thai here. Such a fan. Recommend the tiger cry app 100%.
I have gone to lunch here on numerous occasions and the food has always been good. I have consistently eaten the Red Curry with chicken except for this most recent time when I ate the beef. I was pleasantly surprised to say it was even better. The Gang Ke Ree Curry is hearty and flavorful. It is pretty rich. I will say that the calamari were cut into slightly larger portions that I'm used to, but were still quite tender.
My only true reason for only giving a 3 Star review is the service. The service is typically pretty slow. Our most recent visit was the slowest yet with minimal patrons inside. If the service were to improve, my rating would as well. The only other issue was that during this most recent visit, they were out of chicken. Which in turn made my try the beef which I enjoyed
Everything on the menu is fantastic, maybe the best in the city. Service was perfect and the atmosphere inside is so so great.
Toon and her team were AMAZING!! I was recommended to come here from GA and it was worth it!
Favorite place! Eat there all the time!
I just back from town and my first time to come eat with my girlfriend on last Saturday night I was order 2Pad Thai chicken and we’ve to wait 55minute to get my food . But unfortunately the server old lady bring me wrong food she gave me Pad Thai beef and Drunken noodle shimp that very terrible . Very unprofessional as ever seen ,the restaurant very dirty a lot roach and under my table and make me and my girl not hungry any more .I will not back for sure
Perhaps the best Thai spot in KC. Plenty of dish choices and vegetarian options too! Only missing a star because the calamari was indefensibly bad. Waldo Thai has them beat on the calamari by miles.
Love the food here. It’s not as clean as I’d like … but I think it’s because the furniture and table tops are in bad shape- I think they try to keep it clean.
