The atmosphere was welcoming and chill with good music.

The food was amazing. The Teriyaki Salmon with the sauce was phenomenal. Beyond words.

The sushi rolls were so fresh, as was the sashimi. Wow.

The bacon asparagus rice was phenomenal as well. So flavorful. Especially with the Yummy Sauce.

I enjoyed my experience here immensely. Quite the hidden gem in Winona. I'm blown away.

First time eating at this place. I absolutely loved it so does the husband, he's usually not a sushi person, he WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! He ordered the Chicken hibachi, and the plate was as long as his arm, enough for two people to eat it. The husband like the fact that they separated the veggies from the chicken and rice. I ordered the pad Thai and the taste was right on, it wasn't too greasy, again the portions was enough to feed two people. And the platting for the sushi was so pretty, I couldn't even eat it. Most sushi place when you order sushi they put it all together where you cannot grab the sushi without touching the other kind of sushi. This one they, gave the sushi it's space. So when your chopsticks is grabbing the sushi, it's not touching the other sushi.

It's not our first time at this fantastic restaurant because the place never disappoints. Their food is topnotch which is evident as the place is always jam-packed with people. The rolls, Sushi, Sashimi and every item on their quite elaborate menu is worth giving a try. Cherry on top is their working hours! Unlike many Winona restaurants that shut doors on customers by 8 PM, this place allows dine in until 11 PM on weekends. I am definitely recommending this place for all their scrumptious food.

We were drawn to Ocean Sushi because of its favorable reviews. We kept it simple ordering Pad Thai, some dumplings and a sushi roll. Everything arrived quickly and tasted great. Portions were generous and we left content with a sizable doggie bag of the Pad Thai. We definitely plan to come back again to further explore their menu.

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. Drove up from La Crosse, definitely worth the drive. Very fresh, generous, and every piece was quality.

A great place to get reasonably priced Hibachi, Sushi, and other Asian food cravings. They offer pickup and delivery, and they remember regulars and absolutely go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.

What can I say? Pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
I am in town for training and had an urge to splurge on sushi. Im a big fan and have a couple of spots where im from i love to frequent.
This place is in the local mall, and the only reason for the 4/5 for the atmosphere was because the exterior of the apparent entrance is not very well kept. This could possibly could be more for the malls upkeep rather than Oceans, but it was where the entrance appeared to be for their restaurant
I was treated very courteously and took a seat at the bar where i could watch the chefs do their work. They were very busy, but everything was still made with care and with well-earned pride in their work.
I had fried shumai to start (very tasty), and it came very quickly.
I then had 3 house rolls: volcano, godzilla, and i believe what they called sexy tommy. I dont usually go for cooked rolls exclusively, but these were all combinations that i dont recall having, and part of what i love about sushi is variety and trying new things.
The presentation was well done, all the rolls done tightly, balanced, and plated with care and style. While all were easily A tier, the Godzilla roll made it into a new personal favorite spot.
Even though I was stuffed, I ordered some chicken fried rice to-go for lunch tomorrow. I tried a bite (maybe 3) just before writing this, and I was impressed.
The chefs and staff all were courteous and very warm throughout. I was served by four or five different people throughout the meal. Their teamwork and synergy while so busy was professionally admirable.

I may never be back due to circumstance and distance, and that makes me genuinely sad.
But should I ever be back in Winona will definitely be dining at Ocean Sushi again.

For a landlocked small town sushi restaurant, it's amazing. I've never had a bad meal here, and we probably eat here our get take out about once a month.

The food In my opinion was the best in the area. I drove from the La Crosse area. The staff were friendly the atmosphere was awesome. I will be coming back.

Love the sushi here, love to come in and see the family working together with smiles on their faces. Service is very attentive and personal. All take out orders are very prompt as well! I'd recommend Ocean Sushi to everyone!

We went to celebrate my brother and his wife's five year anniversary and this place made it an amazing evening!! They made a gorgeous display for our rolls, they heard it was their anniversary so they gave us a delicious mago cake dessert thing. They made us feel so welcome! The pink lady roll was a collective favorite among our table. So good, I wasn't hesitant with pink seaweed but it took me by surprise and I'm so glad we tried it. The Godzilla roll was my personal favorite, my partner doesn't usually like hot rolls and she found that one unbelievably yummy. If you want really yummy sushi, this is the place to go .

My boyfriend and I LOVE Ocean Sushi!! It’s our favorite restaurant in Winona and it’s my favorite restaurant period. We love the Hibachi, Chicken Yaki Udon, CRAB RANGOONS, the miso soup, Pad Thai, and the Philadelphia Roll. I have never been disappointed when I’ve tried something new. SUCH a good place that I recommend to locals or people visiting. GO TRY IT!!

I have been dining here for many years. I think it is a great place. I enjoy their sushi 🍣 and Pad Thai. The Binto Boxes are wonderful. Definitely a great value with lunch specials. Reasonably priced otherwise. The waitresses are very kind and work hard to be very attentive to everyone. Some staff have very limited English, but don't be discouraged. They are great at taking care of guests and have always satisfied my family, friends, and colleagues.

Bento box lunches give you a good variety

Ordered dinner sashimi deluxe; 3 pcs of salmon, yellowtail, snapper, white tuna, red tuna, everything was fresh and delicious but, the salmon and yellowtail were on another level. Service was fast and attentive. If I lived in Winona I would struggle to not eat here more than once a week.

As always, Ocean Sushi does not disappoint. Whether we want to try something new or order our favorite comfort foods, we know it will be delicious! Oishii!

I had the chicken tearikie with chicken soup and salad, also had fried rice with a coke. The waitress was extremely good and had great customer service skills, the place is excellent clean! If I could give them a 10 star review I would.

Wish more people understood what it means to be employed in the service industry. I am tired of feeling like I am a burden to wait staff. I guess they are just too busy with their own phones to be disturbed by customers.

The food was amazing! Came out quickly, hot, and with a pretty presentation. Very quick and friendly service. One of the tastiest foods we've ever had with a great variety of selections available. We will definitely eat here again!

I order takeout from here regularly. Friendly staff and great food. I remember when they first opened in 2015 I was super excited to have a sushi restaurant in Winona.

The location kept me from trying this place out for a really long time. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE! This is authentic sushi! Everything was fresh, fast, and delicious! Best crab rangoons I've ever had! Hoping they were training new cooks or received low quality ingredients when we went in. Had high hopes with all the positive reviews. Not from the area, so took a gamble on a mainland sushi restaurant. Seems their name missed the mark. Ordered a variety of sushi rolls and Pad Thai. Was very disappointed in what seemed to be the house special "Ocean Roll". Ingredients overall were bland and void of flavor. Service was phenomenal and prices seemed to be reasonable.

Love this place! The owners are wonderful people, and are always taking care of us! There are times when they are super busy, but they always try to make sure that we are given great service. The sushi is excellent. They also have other menu items that have never disappointed us.

Absolutely loved this place! The sushi was not literally the Best Sushi I Have Ever Had, but it was very good, and the plating alone pumps up the experience beautifully. The service was attentive but certainly not invasive. A very welcome place with a surprising variety of sushi, hibachi, and other Japanese and Thai foods. As far as I could tell, one of the owners was our server, and kindly seemed honored to help us on our first visit. We will definitely be back!

When I ordered my food I wasn't told that there was shrimp with it the place was amazing they remade my food for me because of my allergies with no questions asked just be aware that this does come with shrimp this place was very unique and very well taken care of impressed by my meal

I don’t think I’ve ever had an unpleasant dining experience either in-restaurant or via takeout. The plating is always done with care and the way takeout is packed is very secure! Also, of course, delicious food! I’m very pleased that this restaurant seems to thrive despite the ongoing pandemic, and I will continue to dine with them whenever I am able.

There is a negative review claiming this establishment has a buffet. That is probably the restaurant down the road. Ocean Sushi makes their food fresh and is currently carry out only and has no buffet. We order here several times a month and love their food.

This restaurant has the best sushi and fried rice I've ever had! Amazing food, good people.

This Ocean restaraunt quits making fresh food by 8pm and some evenings only have half the items left and half a pan of those items still left with half of the food left being old and cold so I'd suggest not going here after maybe 7pm during dinner time and not paying until you've walked the food bars to see if theirs enough of what you like left and check to see if it is old or cold food.

A couple times after 8pm when they were limited on amounts of fresh and hot food, the gal that always rings you out at the cash register cut a deal for me and only charged me the lunch price of about $11.50 instead of the high dinner price of $16.50.

When the food is fresh and hot they have an extremely good variety of super tasty food.

I've been here 5 times and will go back to.
