The best service I have ever experienced. I have a lot of food allergies & because basically everything here is homemade they were able to accommodate my needs. The chef & the waitress are so kind & accommodating.
All fresh ingredients, the vegetables were crispy. The dishes are tasty & well balanced.
While the restaurant has a high score, my recent visit was unfortunately disappointing.
There was too much soup/water in the Panang Curry, which was different from other Thai places I’ve been to. They were out of papaya salad as well.
The restaurant was pretty empty on a Saturday night.
Free parking was available behind the restaurant.
Another stop on the Twin Cites Vegan Chef Challenge list!
Their challenge dish:
Thai Sweet Chili Tofu
Stir-fried tofu, mixed vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, bell pepper, onion, carrot and green beans), sesame seed topping
Thoughts:
The green beans were perfectly cooked for this dish and the portion was generous.
While I enjoyed this dish, I’m more excited to have found another St. Paul restaurant with plenty of veggie options. I’m a fan of curry and that’s what I’ll try next! The menu was clearly labeled to show which options could be made vegan. The fresh spring rolls were my favorite that I’ve had around town.
Service was kind and enthusiastic, the chef even came out and asked what we thought of the new dish and was excited about it!
Patio seating is available and there’s a large parking lot behind this stretch of businesses which made parking easy.
Updated 2024: Thai Garden is my absolute favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. I have been coming here since the day they opened, and I show it to everyone who visits and wants to try local food. Long and Ginger, the owners, are the kindest people, always friendly and welcoming whenever we visit.
My favorite dish here is the Pad Lard Na, a hearty noodle dish with a flavorful brown gravy, veggies, and the protein of your choice. The noodles are homemade daily, thick and delicious. The presentation is impeccable, every detail beautifully arranged for aesthetic perfection.
That said, I often still have a hard time deciding what to order, as there are so many amazing options for the current mood and context. The noodle dishes are always solid, the curries and stir fries are amazing, and the pho is top notch.
We always get an order of the spring rolls, which are a superb start to any meal. We also often like to order a Thai coffee, a beautiful and delicious cool drink with swirling white and orange, a kick of flavor, and plenty of spirit.
I recommend this place to everyone. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring everyone you know. We love Thai Garden!
The Thai garden staff worked with us to cater a wonderful take out meal for 10 for a special celebration. We ordered several delicious entrees, including Thai basil stir fry, a fabulous green curry, and cashew fried rice with chicken. The owners made it really easy for us to choose a good menu and pick it up within our party's time frame. We were able to offer plenty of food for a very reasonable price, and our guests raved. They went back for seconds and thirds. We'll definitely be back.
Pretty basic, got combo fried rice and pork belly with vegetables. Both the rice and pork belly dishes were a bit too over sauced and salty, the pork itself is very dry and hard to chew through so overall meh probably better to order another dish. Not to mention they auto add tip
This place is stellar! We had awesome food but my husband had really bad motion sickness from the ride over so the chef made him a chicken soup to help settle his stomach. It was such a sweet gesture! I would 100% recommend! Pictured is the drunken noodles with their fresh, house-made noodles. It was excellent!
Update 04/2024
Best Thai ever! Listen, if I could give this place 6 stars, I would! It was so good the first time I was here that I had to come back and bring my son. We drove 2 hours one way just to eat here. This place doesn't disappoint. I have traveled all over the U.S. and this restaurant has the best Thai food and Larb thay I have ever tried. The staff was amazing, and the chef greeted us, and once he heard how far we came, he had us try some of his favorite dishes. I have never received such amazing service anywhere.
1st trip: March 2024
Oh my goodness!! Absolutely delicious! Clean establishment, parking was easy, and the service was good. The food was the best I have had in a while. I ordered larb, spring rolls, and ginseng coffee. I love spicy food, and the larb was truly spicy and full of flavor! I will return here for sure! If you are in the area, it is a must try. This is my favorite restaurant in MN.

The only reason you need to come to Thai Garden is the hand-made in house wide rice noodles. The most delicious I’ve had anywhere. Get the pad see ew or drunken noodles, or any of several dishes with them, for a real treat. Lots of Thai places are more or less the same, even if they’re delicious. These noodles are special! Also, for gluten free people, the chefs son is celiac and he is as diligent as they come about avoiding contamination.
You ask for spicy... You get spicy. They understand me here.
I came here to eat with my grandparents for their birthday, we had their amazing fried rice with their soup, and it was AMAZING! I highly recommend this place to eat, if you want some warm comfort food, or something new to try this is where to go.
The boat noodle hade chicken liver in it, (terrible) barely had any broth. The pad Ka pow was not good, real pad Ka pow is mince pork. They use big chunks of pork. This place is a never go for me. First and last for me!!

This is the best Thai place in the TC that I know of.
The kitchen isn't phoning it in - they really seem to care about what they send out. What really stood out on my last visit was how fresh the ingredients tasted.
The dining room is cozy, maybe even a little romantic, and the menu is very vegan-friendly.

Pho and the curry soup(kapoon) was average at best. Probably our first and last here!
Delicious, authentic food. The chef came out from the kitchen to make sure we were happy with our food, and boy were we. I've eaten here twice, and will absolutely return...with friends! The Pad See Ieu is fantastic!
Food it great. Love the green tea cheese cake.. hope to come back and try other dish. So far the best for me is the black pepper dish.
Thai Garden has delicious food. Because I am a vegetarian, it’s my go to place for Thai because it serves vegan Thai with no animal by products. It has a great chef, who prepares healthy food and often customizes it for customers. The waitress is extremely capable, has a great memory, sense of humor, and is just darn nice.
We went here after reading they were able to make gluten free. Myself as well as two of my children have celiac and finding a safe place to eat out is hard. The owner and chef came out and spoke with us explaining his own son had celiac and he started the business so he had a place to eat and actually grow. Not only was the food delicious but all felt well after eating. We will definitely be back, a true gem!
Poor service!
Terrible place. They just rob money here. The portions they serve are way too less. And every dish is over priced. As if that is not enough they forcefully charge tip which is automatically added to your bill. You like the service or not, you end up paying 20% tip. The server was rude, made racist comments that cannot be tolerated. Just stay away if you do not want to have a bad day.
Delicious, lots of options, most can be made gluten free / vegan, outdoor seating, great service. 5/5 would recommend!

One of the cutest restaurants I’ve been to! Loved all of the food we tired and the portions sizes were big! Highly highly recommend coming here if you want some AMAZING Thai food with great service!
I have allergies to nuts & soy that bother my asthma, yet I LOVE Thai food. When I told them about my allergies, instead of telling me about how little options I have, the chef came out and discussed my allergies and his options with me. How sweet! The result was a delicious Thai meal from anything on the menu that was catered to what I could eat. And, believe me, it was YUMMY! I could have licked my plate!
Pretty basic, got combo fried rice and pork belly with vegetables. Both the rice and pork belly dishes were a bit too over sauced and salty, the pork itself is very dry and hard to chew through so overall meh probably better to order another dish. Not to mention they auto add tip
My favorite Thai place in the cities! Serves AMAZING food and everyone is super friendly and cool! The vegan options are also exceptional if you have dietary needs!
Great, fresh Thai cuisine prepared and served by great people. The chef talked with us re: his style which is healthy food with no msg and his mother's recipes. He takes great pride in his food. We will definitely be back. Try the brown sauce - it's fantastic.
Food was good got curry and some spring rolls but not nothing to write home about though just decent food

This is a hidden gem. If you are looking for a unique, cozy, and comfortable place with quality Thai food, this is a great choice. Great service and ownership. Also, they add more veggies than other restaurants, which is a nice surprise. They are very good at what they do.

Oh wow!
I can’t even begin to describe how amazing my experience was here!
First of all, Long (the owner & Chef), and Ginger (the waitress that took care of me during my visit) were aaaaabsolutely incredible.
Long went out of his way to make my dishes exactly how I had hoped to have them made.
Not only was he patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating to my vegan needs, but he also took the time to explain how he made the green curry that I ordered (in comparison to how it’s “commonly made” at other establishments).
He also asked if I wanted to try a substitute to the msg generally added to their Thai papaya salad (when I asked for mine to be made without msg), and to my surprise it was made from mushrooms—which I absolutely love! So, perfection there as well👌🏽
Now, the flaaaavors were divine! Such a colorful explosion on my tastebuds! of sweet, salty, tart, and spicy all at the same time! 🔥🤤
Lastly, the atmosphere🥹
From the decor, the music, and the overall energy was just… literally exactly what I needed yesterday afternoon/evening🙏🏽
Such a kind, warm, and welcoming place.
Clean, calm, flavorful, and authentic.
Thank you endlessly Long and Ginger for making my experience one of my best ones in quite a long time.
I will see you both again soon!
Warmly,
Kai
This place doesn't have cooks in the back. They have a professional chef who makes everything from scratch, and then comes out and asks the guests how everything is. The food couldn't be better, top notch.
Ordered Pho & spring rolls - were good!
Finding vegan options is getting much easier, however, being served the same quality dishes in any restaurant can be rare. The Thai Garden made our dining experience feel normal and the food was exceptional! The ingredients were very fresh! The server was friendly and attentive, and the chef even made an appearance to check in with us. I will definitely be back again and recommend this gem to those like me who eat strictly plants.
The food was very good. The staff was fantastic and honest. When I ordered dessert, the waitress told me it wouldn't be as good as usual because the mangos are not in season. I got it anyway and she was right. I like honestly. Would go there again and would recommend them to anyone.
I was sold a soggy fried rice, I didn’t enjoy it. O had to trash it and slept hungry. Not worth the $52 I paid. Just really bad.
Update - I never said I got only fried rice for $52. Not sure you can accept such soggy rice for $18 and 4 shrimp ???? Seriously ??????
I buy curry rice from other restaurants and it has never ever turn out this way. Why sell soggy rice to customers because you added coconut milk????? DO BETTER !!!!! And DONT EVER CALL ME A LIAR.
Thai Garden has always been our favorite and we drive from Eden Prairie when we want Thai food. The last couple of times have been off. The panang curry was watery as was the dipping sauce for the cream cheese wontons. The drunken noodle sauce was also runny and just pooled at the bottom of the plate. I asked the waitress if the chef had changed and she said no. Not sure what happened. Maybe with inflation they are watering things down? Makes me sad.
The food was realy ok aswel the service.
Ordered a regular Coca Cola and this was a machine one badly regulated: no gaz, over swetened…
Ordered a Pho soup and is realu important the taste of the broth.
Let me tell you that this is beter on an other thai restaurant realy close by (by respect will not name it).
This why i can not rate both in the same way!
Other minus point: no wifi.
But yes founded also the real Thai streetfood taste!
Talented chef, supports low to no gluten options when asked, always kind service. Best phó in town. Only a few tables but worth the wait.
Place was a little small, but we got seated as soon as we walked in the door. We ordered the drunken noodles and cream cheese wonton.
The food did take some time to arrive, but it was still warm. The noodles were soft and flavorful. Cream cheese wontons filling were also good, but the wrapper was a bit hard and overcooked. Staff was friendly and attentive. They have outside seating for warmer days.
Best Thai food in the Twin Cities! Try a dish with their homemade wide noodles, such as their "Drunken Noodles."
Very clean restaurant with delicious food and wonderful staff, will definitely be going here more!
We had the massaman curry and the peanut pad thai. Both were great! Service was good too. We will certainly go back.
The chef is accommodating to gluten allergies and is very welcoming. He checks with us every time we eat there.
We.orseres fries rice and sauteed vegetables with beef. Both dishes were tasty , the portions are big.
I literally have brought friends and family here for the last 10 years because of the insane brown sauce and the authenticity of the owners and menu. We are lucky to have them here in MN!
Absolutely fantastic. Best massaman curry I’ve ever had. One of MN’s best Thai restaurants.
This restaurant has a serene setting, friendly staff, and exceptional flavos everytime.
Excellent food!
The owner greeted us and was really welcoming. The foods and service was good.
Thai garden pho was delicious!
Their drunken noodles are the BEST. Very aromatic basil flavor (!!!) and so much beef in your food. Also great costumer service.
So first of all I want to say that their bathroom is very clean the floors in the dining room are very clean tables are clean silverware is very clean. I was feeling a little bit under the weather I am 4 months pregnant and have an allergy to gluten soy Dairy and fish. I was diagnosed with celiac in the beginning of my pregnancy. The chef came out to talk to me out of courtesy and I had a very good conversation about the diet that I am in and how serious he takes allergies. He told me he has about three to four different pots and pans where he cooks separate food due to dietary allergies. Him and the lady who took my order were very kind and empathetic compassionate understanding and patient and professional. I am coming here every time I am craving soup. I recommend this place 10 out of 10. Very very professional 👏 👌 👍 😀
I have been going to this restaurant for years now and it's always the same experience every time- great food and great service. Ginger and Long know me by name now and when I call to order, Ginger knows my order by heart. I hope this place stays open for many more years because this is the best Thai place in the cities!
Great place for great food and great service. The menu is extensive with so many options. I ordered the Chue Chee Curry. Was phenomenal. 10/10 would go again.
Best customer service experience on University! Warm, inviting, patience! They have a patio. I only wish they had beer and wine. Great lunch spot tho.
I order something for $12.87. The machine charge me $16.87 and instead of trying to compensate me for the almost 3 dollars they charge me they refunded me and took my Fuh back that I waited 4 1/2 an hour for very rude.
Absolutely adored this Thai restaurant! My partner and I had Thai Iced tea, an appetizer of cream cheese wontons, green curry and yellow curry. It's a small restaurant, but was very cozy and inviting. Service was spectacular! There were only two people working, one cooking, one waiting but they were doing great and were super friendly! My partner's green curry was amazing, my yellow curry was absolutely delicious and creamy. I think this is some of the best Thai food I've every had! It felt almost like I was invited over to someone's house for a meal! We will for sure be back to eat again if we're ever in the area!
Best Thai food I have ever had! Picked up take out today and the service was fast, the people were nice, and the food was delicious. Best I have had in the twin cities. Don't make the mistake we did and wait too long to venture out...because this place is a gem
The staff at Thai Garden knocked it out of the park tonight! We had a big takeout order (8 entrees and a few appetizers), including a couple modifications and no-sugar requests (which I recognize is pretty difficult with Thai food), and the chef accommodated all our requests. Thank you! Every dish was so delicious and full of flavor, especially the House Spicy Noodle. I also appreciate that all the takeout containers are reusable. Can't say enough great things about this place – we will be back soon!
Attention fellow foodies! Despite some recent whispers and outdated reviews suggesting Thai Garden is closed due to construction, I'm pleased to confirm it's very much open and welcoming guests. The back patio construction has been completed, so please adjust any reviews to reflect this.
Venturing inside, I noticed the décor felt a bit dated, reminiscent of the broader street ambiance, but let's be honest, I was there for the food. And oh, what a treat it was! The dishes were so impeccable that I contemplated tipping the chef separately for the culinary journey he sent me on. I even entertained the idea of taking some home, so I could prolong the delightful experience.
Although we dined during a quieter mid-afternoon period, the service was swift and met every need. There was a minor hiccup concerning the bathroom - a confusing setup and a lock issue my friend encountered. But that's a minor fix in the grand scheme of things.
Thai Garden isn't just a place to grab a bite; it's an experience. Their prices are reasonable for the generous portions, and it's the tantalizing flavors that will undoubtedly have me returning. Do yourself a favor and head on over; you won't be disappointed.
Excellent, fast service and fresh, delicious food. Lots of vegan options and a huge menu! Most of the noodle, curry and stir fry is different vegetables and sauce and you pick your protein (tofu or mock duck are the vegan options). The brown sauce isn't vegan but upon request they have a vegan sauce too! The noodles are homemade and delicious. The vegetables are in season and the peanut sauce was delicious. I ordered mild spice level since it was a new place and you never know, glad I did: mild is like a medium most other places. They use spice well, but a little hotter than most places (although not unbearable or overspiced). If you're a Midwesterner...order mild. Haha
I'll definitely be back!
This is our go-to for Thai. We love supporting small businesses and we have built a rapport with the owners as we do somewhat frequently dine here.
Having been to and eaten in Thailand several times, it's hard to come home and find "authentic" Thai. I feel this is pretty darn close to authentic Thai. It's a smaller place that does a lot of takeaway, but we always dine in as home if 45 minutes away. Yes, we drive past several other Thai places to come here! My husband gets the same dish every time, the spicy green beans with beef, and it is a tasty dish. I switch it up, pad thai, curry, and stir frys with chicken or tofu.
The food is good to great. When they are too not busy it is amazing!! They will create any dish with any allergy requests and are very thorough about making the dish tasty without all the normal ingredients. Very vegan friendly as well.
The wait staff is unpleasant and blunt at times but we still like the atmosphere. Chef is out and about checking on tables after meals as well and he is a very friendly man.
Great food, good atmosphere and very friendly service and chef!
Tonight was my first time at Thai Garden. It was such a great evening to sit outside and enjoy their amazing peanut sauce pad Thai, full of veggies and chicken, amazing! Great service and super reasonable prices for the large portions. Looking forward to my next visit!
This place is straight up the best Thai place I've ever been to. The fried rice is superb! A true family staple
Delicious food. Plenty of veggies. Decently healthy options.
First time here and the ambiance inside and the food were amazing!!! Love the coconut shrimp, Thai ice tea, our noodle and fried rice!!!
The host and the chef are both super nice tooo!!! Already planning another visit back!!!😊
Thank you so much!!! 🙏🙏🙏
I was really excited to try this place after reading so many amazing reviews. I love Thai food and have gone to so many places not just in Minnesota but all over. I got the pad Thai as that’s my favorite and all the reviewers said how amazing it was. Along with the pineapple fried rice and the cashew nut stir fry.
Very unimpressed, either the chef wasn’t there on Sunday or maybe an off day. All the food lacked flavor. The padthai had zero flavor and barely any sauce, when I got home later on when I was hungry I added more chili oil but there was still no flavor.
I love raisins in pineapple fried rice but this also had no real flavor either.
The cashew nut was the best of the 3.
Will not be returning 80 bucks with tip and all I got was bland tasteless food unfortunately.
Delicious and fresh Thai food!
I thought the meal portion was quite little and overpriced. The service was adequate, the chef came over to greet us and check on us. I understand why it took so long because there were only two people working, but perhaps it would take less time if there were more people working. The pricing range should be set, for example, 4 chicken wings for $8.97! To be honest, the beginning course was quite pricey for such an insignificant amount of food.
I believe the portion are too small for the prices. I don't think they are up to date with their prices & menu as well. Service was okay but took a while to get noticed although it wasn't busy.
& with the prices being high for a small portion, This is straight stingy. $3 for rice that can only feed a 12 months old. Seriously, the small rice was ridiculous.
I understand inflation but I don't understand not being up to date with your menu. Please reconsider.
Great little restaurant, the food was FANTASTIC! The folks who work there are so kind. Many vegetarian and vegan options.
After a little chat and knowing that we weren’t locals the chef went out of his way and made us one of signature dish 👍
Unlike some places I’ve been, I requested for my food to be spicy and they delivered.
It was a good experience.
Had a delicious pho the first time. Got takeout green curry the second... watery zucchini instead of eggplant, green instead of red pepper, very light on the protein. More heat than flavor. Bummer.
Good food. Affordable price. Friendly takeout staff
This place is amazing! Service is top notch, food is amazing. Came here for work and I would come here every day hands down. Thank you guys for the experience.
Always amazing
This place is amazing! Went during “late lunch” kind of time and there weren’t many people there. The chef came out and asked everyone how their food was (it was delicious) and we had such a great conversation with him! Love supporting small businesses like this!
The BEST pad Thai I've ever had (and I typically order it when it's on the menu). The chef came out and chatted with us; he said he tried every pad Thai near by and he agrees his is the best! Lol love the confidence in his product!
Awesome vegan options.
This is probably my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Also, it’s not too spicy.
The most delicious green curry in town. This place has a nice atmosphere. The owners provided great service. We will be back.
I was very impressed with the food and presentation. Excellent khao soi and kanom jeen — both are highly recommended!
Very sweet people who run this place. The atmosphere is very calming and the flavors are phenomenal!
I lived in Mpls/St. Paul for 6 years and Thai Garden was mine and my partners favorite restaurant. We took all our friends and family here and everyone loved it. They knew our favorite orders by heart. One day I stopped for soup when I was sick and they made an extra chicken noodle soup to help me get well faster. 4 years ago my partner and I moved away out of state. While in town for Christmas last month we came back to get our favorite Thai food, and Ginger recognized us as soon as we walked in the door, she even remembered my go-to order. Chef Long came out to say hi and chat with us and catch up. The food was even better than we remembered, and Chef Long has even added more vegan and allergy friendly options to the menu and made it so easy for me to order around some new allergies I have. The food is so fresh and well made, it really can’t be beat. We had such a great time catching up and eating our favorite foods, and I cannot say enough good things about Thai Garden. I love this restaurant, the food, and the people!
Delicious! Pad See Ew with mock duck was freshly made with tender noodles and savory sauce. We will be back for sure. Clearly a talented chef!
Their vegan Pho was delicious!!!!!
A gem of a place. We got there just as they opened and were personally welcomed by the chef as we walked in. I loved that I could get most of the menu, as I am gluten-free.
The ginger tea was subtle and refreshing, and I thoroughly enjoyed my food (I got the Pad Kra Pao, and my husband got the drunken noodles). It was wonderfully flavorful.
I will warn though -- if you have the stereotypical Minnesota spice tolerance, go mild or less. I thought the medium was great because it gave me enough heat, but didn't cover the flavor. But if you have a low spice tolerance, it may seem like too much.
Thai peanut my favorite!
Household favorite Thai spot. Incredible flavor while tasting light and healthy and always at a great price. Would highly recommend the green, pannang curry, and pad Thai!
What a find! The chef came out to greet us, the server was very knowledgeable, and the food was fantastic. Definitely will be back.
Food was fresh, tasty, beautifully presented and prepared to order. Lots of vegan and gluten free options. The chef even came out to ask if we liked our food! Outdoor seating available as well. Did see several though.
Best thai food I've ever had! Really good prices and the staff were very nice. The chef came out shortly after our food was served and checked on us - so nice!
We got the vegetarian pad thai (both regular and peanut) as well as wonton and spring rolls and EVERYTHING was delicious!
Best Thai food in the twin cities! Staff was amazing and the chef even asked how our food was!
I really enjoyed my experience here, and the chef was absolutely amazing! I recommend you try the Tom Yum (i added coconut milk and it was heavenly) truly one of the best soups i’ve had in a long time.
Tasty food, good vegan options! The chef brought us a sample of something new he is working on which was a nice surprise!
Great food and service! Best Tie food I have had so far!
Wonderful vegan food!! When we were finished with our meal the chef came out and asked how the food was. All meals were made vegan. He shared his philosophy behind how he creates the flavors and the “why” animal products aren’t needed. They’re opening another location (Cottage Grove) that will offer more vegan options as well where you’ll be able to watch the meals get prepared. Wonderful food and delightful experience!
Best Thai noodles in the twin cities. The noodles have lots of fresh vegetables, the Tofu is perfectly fried, and the sauces are perfect.
We were very pleased with our food. I had a whole red snapper dep fried and with sweet and sour soup. It was delicious. The fried tofu and the spring rolls were good as well. The chef even came out to say hi and ask us about our meal. We will be back. Sorry, my picture of the fish does not do it justice. I was hungry and ate half of it before I took the picture. It was so good.
Wow! This place is incredible! The waitress was so kind. The food was delicious and huge portions. I had a tom kha tofu and made it extra spicy. It did not disappoint. Great vegan options!
Great services, is what you expected from a Thai restaurant
Tried the River monster fish, the red snapper was delicious! Crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside.
Everything was fantastic. The service was very friendly. Almost everything on the menu can be made vegan.
Very good food in a cozy location right off the light rail. The mango sticky rice was an excellent dessert.
Had the green curry and drunken noodles. Food came out hot and delicious. My new favorite Thai restaurant.
I've ordered from this restaurant for over four years and it never disappoints. It's wonderfully decorated, has a nice little patio, and is clearly small business run- the chef will even come out to talk to you if you have questions about ingredients. The food tastes fantastic and the prices are adorable. Easily my favorite restaurant.
They make the wide rice noodles in house, and they're worth the trip!
My husband and I were pretty impressed with the foods. Not to mention the variety is great! We have order done in and take out and both were prepared within 10-15 mins which was great! They also have great vegan adjustments which I love! The owner is also so friendly he’s come to check up on his customers frequently and seems to love what he does! Would def recommend this place. It’s cute and quite a suggestible socialable place. There’s even a small dinning area that fits 10 ppl for a small party. Would def recommend this place 💛
Food was fresh and delicious and beautifully presented! Chef came out to check on us, which was a nice touch. Lots of vegan and gluten free options. Did see a few flies, though.
Chef and staff were very friendly. Food was amazing and presented nicely
Best pad see ew I’ve ever had.
Great! Chef is super knowledgeable about allergies, we were able to eat here safely with gluten and dairy allergies in the family. Highly recommend. Great food, friendly, clean bathrooms.
This cozy restaurant exceeded our expectations from the start. It's wam and pleasant on the inside, and they have four tables outside for seating on the patio. Everything we've had there so far has been excellent, and is largely made from scratch. The clearly labeled menu has been updated recently, and of the items can be made vegan and/or gluten free. Both the chef owner and his host wife have been very friendly and informative, offering up a wide variety options. A great find!
Super flavorful Thai in the twin cities, does real spice and best khao soi we’ve found in Minnesota so far.
I order from here at least monthly if not weekly and the quality of food is always perfect. The chef and the lady who takes my order is always friendly and know me by name now lol. The food here is delicious and I will keep coming here as long as they are open!
This is literally probably my favorite restaurant ever. Every single thing I’ve tried I love. The flavor and how everything is cooked is always delicious. Plus we are a vegan family and the fact that they offer so many vegan options is amazing. If you order from them you need to get the Thai egg rolls because those are the best things I’ve ever had.
The best Thai food in the Twin Cities. Able to make most dishes vegan upon request!
Food is good, but service is very slow.
The Quality and Quantity of the food was absolutely worth it's price point. An amazing and eye catching interior, inside was very clean. The Chef was nice and seems very passionate about his work along with our Waitress. An obscure place on the outside when theirs a liquor store next door and all those boarded up windows. However an extremely pleasant experience and Great food. Exceeded all of my expectations and will certainly be back.
Delicious Thai food! Lots of fresh vegetables. Owner came to be sure we liked our entrees. We ordered mild spice. Chicken wings are great here as an appetizer.
2 Words “ Vegan Pho”! Maybe 10th time here and haven’t missed the spot once. Genuine service and hospitality. Try their vegan Pad Thai or Papaya!!!
Delicious food. Most of the menu can be made vegan, and items that can be made vegan are clearly marked on the menu.
Great food, the Thai Garden pho and fried rice with chili paste, delicious. Great service, too. They were busy but we were never forgotten. Thanks.
Did research for this place everything looked excellent from reviews. Got seated right away. Only 2 other people in the restaurant. 15 minutes went by finally got water. Then was told that there was going to be a 15-20 minute wait before they could start on our order because they were backed up for take out orders. 1 why not say when we first come in that it’s going to be a 30 minute wait before we can even start your order. 2 we told her that we had a show to go to and could our order be put on a rush, no she said. Either be a dine in or just do take out.
I've tried the pad see ew at a least a dozen different spots in the Twin Cities and nothing is even close to as good as Thai Garden. The food is always fresh and hot, reasonably priced and the staff is extremely friendly. The chef regularly comes out and checks on you to make sure you're enjoying your meal. Huge menu where everything is good from the pho, to the peanut sauce, noodle dishes, curries and stir fries. Thai Garden is a St. Paul gem and definitely worth checking out!
Enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. Try their coconut soup.
Delicious food and very kind staff. Wide variety of dishes and clean interior. Definitey make a stop here!
Love this restaurant, the owner is personable and helpful if you don’t know what you want to order. It’s probably my favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. Highly recommend.
Great food with reasonable prices and good attitude service
We got the most amazing Thai food ❤️ The phó and our favorite chicken pad thai is beyond amazing 🤩 We are now friends with the owner. They’re very nice people and of course the chef is very traditional guy, he comes out and greet his customers and giving some knowledge of what he’s cooking. Highly recommended!!! Specially their Thai Iced Tea 😍
Can't find a nice place like this anywhere else. Everything is fresh and tasty. Although I was my first time visiting after pandemic, I told my 5 friends at the table that feels like you can't go wrong with any menu item here. At the end, we all gave 5 stars to our dinner. Soups, noodles, steak, rolls...all were really 👌 and yummy 😋.
Small place but food was pretty good. Pho garden combo was good although the large bowl looked more like a medium. The broth was tasty, clear and not oily. Good balance of spices.
I love Long and Ginger 😍 they’re so sweet, and I would give my money to this establishment any day. The food is top notch, I loveeeeeee the pho! Definitely the best in the Twin Cities by far ❤️❤️❤️
Probably my favorite Pho in all of the Twin Cities
