Casual place serving noodles, curries, fried rice & other Thai favorites in modern surrounds.
Got takeout so not the whole experience, but overall would recommend. Cute inside, friendly staff, and decent food. Peanut curry chicken was tasty. Papaya salad was not exactly what I was expecting- a little more mild in flavor and less variation in the ingredients, but nonetheless still tasted good and spicy.
Our Friends next door The GreyDuck Salon recommended this Amazing Thai restaurant!!
My two sons and I have been working our way through the menu (we have been there 5x's in two weeks) and I have to be honest; as a person who never chooses a favorite anything I am inclined to say this is my favorite restaurant!
I haven't been treated to a meal or service like this since our family friends closed their Vietnamese restaurant many years ago.
This food is Made With LOVE π
Great food all around! It was a little small but decorated very well and so comfortable to do sit in dining. It's a perfect in-between of a casual dinner and a dress up date night. I loved the food, they served a peanut sauce with the mango spring rolls which were to die for! Overall the sauces were runnier and sweeter when compared to the stickier more savory style of pad Thai that I'm used to. It was still delicious! But I know some people have an opinion about that type of thing.
Was craving Thai Food Friday Night for Date Night & we had an amazing experience at Mango Thai - St Paul, MN π€© It's a super small space about 6-8 tables however it's super cozy & the customer service was amazing!
β’ Shrimp Tempura Pad Thai: so UNIQUE the batter of the shrimp tempura was perfect & flavorful! The pad thai noodles itself was very very soft & saucyyyβ¨ with fresh bean sprouts. We didn't think the fish sauce was needed at allπ€
β’ Chicken Tom Yum Soup: very strong lemongrass flavor which I love so much, the sourness was definetly there, so flavorful & definetly needed for the cold weather! Was salty enough to enjoy with rice!
β’ Thai Papaya Salad: Not your original spicy thai papaya however it was still very delicious! The waitress informed us that it's not the traditional style but I loved how extra-peanuty the enhancement was! I didn't mind, it was still very spicy and crunchy!
β’ Green Curry w Beef: we were craving curry & this satisfied our cravings! Defunetly warm, smooth, not too rich and the beef was tendor! Was perfect poured over riceβ¨
β’ Thai Tea: how can you not get thai tea at a thai restaurant? No where else makes perfect thai tea! π₯³
We Bitesquad food in and Mango Thai is great every time. I love the green curry. The right balance of spice, the vegetables are perfect, and the rice to sauce/curry ratio is just right!
Update: we ate in the restaurant today and received exceptional service. Beautiful people, generous portions, fresh ingredients. I was mindfully served the soup as the guest which was impressive. We also appreciated the cast iron kettle the jasmine tea was prepared in and that it was served on a bamboo try with enough mugs for the table. Excellent.
Everything we ordered - satay, pineapple fried rice, pas Thai, Ave massaman curry - were absolutely delicious, and carry out really well. The service was fast, too. So good!

Papaya salad was not exactly what I was expecting- a little more mild in flavor and less variation in the ingredients, but nonetheless still tasted good and spicy.
Service is a bit slow, but the food is worth it!
We really enjoyed our meal. We had the duck with basil entree and a seafood salad. Both were excellent! The atmosphere is lovely.
Great food. Lovely venue. Charming staff
This restaurant is fantastic.
Everything we ordered - satay, pineapple fried rice, pas Thai, Ave massaman curry - were absolutely delicious, and carry out really well. The service was fast, too. So good!
The food is just okay. Staff is very friendly. The place is small and nothing fancy.
Went here on a Friday night date with my partner and we were the only people sitting down to eat there. Strange because this place is so lit!! It's so yummy and the service was so quick. We had thai tea, chicken satay, edamame, panang chicken curry, and mango sticky rice. All of the food was perfect - actually seasoned and fresh!!! The staff is like family vibes and it's a very comfy environment. They have cute plants everywhere and it's very clean. Please don't miss out on this place and their food!
Food tastes good and is made quickly but ordering is always a hassle. Every time that Iβve ordered online, the order is cancelled as Iβm walking up to the doors. Please correct this.
Twice when ordering online (after order is *confirmed*) it gets cancelled. Once before I left to pick it up, was able to call and place it. Seconded it was cancelled when my partner was outside about to pick it up. Great food website NEEDS to be be fixed
This was extremely disappointing. The service was incredibly slow and disorganized. Our fried rice had several pieces of egg shell in it and the boneless duck had bones in it. I would advise anyone against wasting their time here.
My favorite Thai place in the twin cities. I get their green curry with tofu. Everything is always so consistently flavorful and delicious
I've been here 3 times now and every time the food has been good! I love the ladies that work here, and I love the mango sticky rice. I got the panang curry today and it was good but it is SO SWEET. So sweet. Hard to finish.
Very bland and boring pad Thai
Food portions were really small for what we paid. Other than that food was tasty.
When I come here I usually get green curry with fried rice. This time I decided not to due green curry because the chicken is always rubbery and hard like they leave it out for hours uncovered and not in the fridge. Iβve ate that chicken before being like that and I have gotten βSICKβ. This time I just went for fried rice. I asked for it to be no egg due to a severe egg allergy were I go into anaphylactic shock. I make sure to tell them how serious the food allergies are and when I get my food and bring it home it had egg in it. This has happened to me a few times now from here. I called to try to get my money back due to thatβs not what I ordered and they played games telling me each time I had to call back. The lady was very dismissive and rude when I tried to talk to her about the situation she hung up on me. This really could have put me in the hospital. You guys need to due better. I STILL WANT MY MONEY BACK.
The food took forever to arrive
We LOVE the food here, especially the shrimp pad Thai, mango spring rolls, and the rama spinach peanut curry. SO GOOD. Cashew chicken is another favorite. Service however is just okay, and atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Itβs very clean and nicely decorated, there just arenβt ever many people dining in making it feel more like a takeout joint. Despite this, we enjoy coming here.
With lots of choices for Thai nearby, this is a hidden gem. Fresh ingredients, cooked well, and lovely plating. Worth the money and the squeeze into their tiny seating area. I've had a handful of menu items and have yet to be disappointed. Tender chicken and beef, crisp greens and veggies, excellent noodle textures and sauce ratios. The mango in the spring rolls is a great touch!
I absolutely love this little place. The service is fantastic, the food is mouthwateringly delicious, and the atmosphere is serene and relaxing. I highly recommend checking it out!
great food and service.
Wonderful flavors and Thai food.
This is the worst Thai restaurant Iβve ever been to. Spent over $100 on take out with friends and we were all so disappointed. It was very overpriced. The restaurant was pretty much empty when we picked up the food and it reeked of marijuana. The tom yum was literally inedible because it was so so salty and bitter. It came with maybe 1/2 cup of cooked rice. The peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls was just peanut butter and the fish sauce was like sugar water. The pad thai was bright orange, appeared to be made with ketchup, and was not very flavorful. The Singapore noodles were unlike any other Singapore noodles I have ever had and were kinda gummy. The curry fried rice was the only thing that was okay. All of the meat was very dry. I canβt recommend against eating here enough. I would not eat here again even it was free. It was gross and a terrible experience!!
Great food. Tasty and well presented. Good service and flexible on making dietary and protein substitutions. It can get crowded at peak times so recommend reservations. The parking is mostly street side so hit or miss. Highly recommend trying it for smaller parties.
Delicious mango spring rolls. Cozy atmosphere. Looking forward to returning.
We love Mango Thai! Not only is the food exceptional, but the staff goes above and beyond. So lovely to have kind people making amazing food in the neighborhood, will always be our go to spot!
I will not come here again. We arrived at 8:40PM and placed order around 8:50. The food arrived at 9:50. Exactly after 1 hour of placing the order. There is was only 1 person taking the order and attending to customers.
This was great! We were in from out of town and randomly chose this restaurant, it was phenomenal! Donβt listen to the one star reviews! I had the best fried rice here Iβve ever had here. And our server, Summer, was amazing and so kind. It was a wonderful and delicious experience!
Very comforting atmosphere and kind people. Food was tasty! βΊοΈ red curry was delicious
Take Away prices are way too high. When you include tip, you are spending $25+ for curry that comes in the SMALLEST deli container + a single cup (!) of rice. I don't need large portions, but if I'm paying $25 I would expect them.
The food was ok, but not so remarkable that I forgot about the $ I spent π It really feels like I was taken advantage of as a take away customer.
A hidden gem. Very good Thai food. Small and cozy restaurant.
Great food and great service!
Today I drove from 25 minutes away to Mango Thai after ordering online from ChowNow only to discover after arriving and walking in that Mango Thai is closed. What a waste of time and money. If you are closed, please inform the companies that accept your orders so that people donβt show up expecting their food. I have to wait days for my refund when I could have spent $35 somewhere else today. Also, I felt the two ladies who told me the restaurant was closed and hurried me out were rude. They were very dismissive and didnβt offer to make any accommodations despite me being inconvenienced today. I showed my receipt. At least be apologetic and invite me to return another day. I experienced poor service all around from Mango Thai and ChowNow. I donβt intend to return.
EDIT: I see another reviewer mentioned they felt Mango Thai staff was a bit racist. I rarely bring up race in my daily encounters but I honestly have to say I felt a tinge of racism upon being hurried out of Mango Thai today.
My favorite place for Pad Thai in the Twin Cities. The menu is perfectly small because all of their dishes are amazing. The staff was friendly, they can get busy in the weekends!
Me & my Sister have ate at Mango Thai a couple of times, & each time, that we were there, the Restaurant was really dirty, the tables were sticky, there were little flies flying around above our table, our server never came back to take our order, & the tables & chairs were wobbly, I've been to some better Thai Restaurants, & this place is not it!
What an amazing dinner!!! Thanks so much
My favorite Thai place in the Twin Cities! Everything is so fresh, the prices are reasonable, and the presentation of the food is beautiful.
My home away from home π‘
We enjoyed our meals...We will be back.
We had Pad Thai and yellow curry chicken fried rice, which were excellent and also very good Thai iced teas.
This little Gem is truly heaven Send food is delicious every time and service is beyond specially w the way CS has gotten. Lovely energy my place 4 sure worth the 25 min drive
Closed!!! During normal operating hours (7:30 pm) was already closed. I will never be a customer!
Good food!
VIBE CHECK! Result: relaxing, calming, rejuvenating.
We were in town for a convention and on our way back to the hotel for a little withdrawl from the constant bombardment of people and stimuli.
On the way we happened by Mango Thai. We stopped in for a bite and something amazing happened. We were immediately relaxed. The low lights and chill music was an invitation to come in and get exactly what we needed.
We sat down and we were provided piping hot hand towels to warm and wash our hands. We watched our waitress check each of our glasses before pouring water to begin our experience.
A welcoming smile was provided from host stand to table and repeated by our waitress. Nothing over the top, but a simple warm smile that let us know we were in the right place.
My wife and I ordered pot stickers for an appetizer, one of her favorites, and I will eat them. However, when they were delivered to our table, crispy and hot, I took a bite. I now have a place to go that pot stickers are a favorite choice for me. Perfectly cooked and a side of peanut sauce that is mouth watering.
For our main course, my wife ordered the Shrimp and chicken basil, I ordered the Green curry walleye. The portions were fantastic! The presentation was beyond pleasing. Both meals had a slow rise in heat, very slow, that allowed us to enjoy the flavor of the food without destroying our pallet. The walleye was crisp and the shrimp were large. The vegetables were fresh and crisp and the whole dish was NOT drowning in sauce. It was a fantastic portion for the size of the meal.
After eating our main dish we decided we had to have dessert! This is special for us because we will only order dessert if we were impressed with the rest of the meal. There is nothing worse than ending a meal with a lackluster dessert. We chose the fried bananas. The bananas were not mushy (big fear). There was a perfect amount of ice cream and a quartered strawberry for a pop of complimenting flavor. We were more than satisfied.
Although it was peak hour we were not rushed out the door. Instead, the manager (owner?) came over and engaged us with questions about our experience, were we were from, and wanted to know (sincerely) if we would come back.
Our answer "we will drive the 40 minutes to you before the 20 to another (closer) Thai place.
FULL CIRCLE MOMENT:
When we left our cup was filled. We were ready to go straight back to the convention and get to it. Mango Thai provided our R and R as well as the food we needed to enjoy a weekend we were looking forward to.
Thank you Mango Thai.
One of my favorite places. Great flavorful food
We Bitesquad food in and Mango Thai is great every time. I love the green curry. The right balance of spice, the vegetables are perfect, and the rice to sauce/curry ratio is just right!

Delicious dinner
I have come here multiple times for the different curry dishes. They are always excellent. I will continue to come back!
The food was fantastic. We tried the ginger black bean, the panang and the tempura pad Thai. The service was very attentive.
Was just ok. As others have mentioned, the portion sizes don't match the prices.
Incredibly delicious Thai food with super kind service. Weβll be back!
Not warm food and not good. Not authentic Thai.
I told them my order and they brought the wrong order and she didnβt write it down
The best Thai in the metro!!
A little pricey, but takeout service was prompt, ready at the time promised, food was delicious.

I will never go back there that Waitress.... I had was very racist she treated me like I didn't belong there.... I wish this place wasn't in my neighborhood I wish I can rate it as 0
I had an absolutely fabulous lunch today. Potstickers and Panang curry chicken. Very, very, very good! MamaMango (aka Ms. Cindy) was so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!
I previously dined here prior to the pandemic and was not impressed by the curry...but decided to give it another try after a few years, and wow! The curry is now amazing and the food was wonderful. Glad I gave it another chance! Masaman curry was impeccable!

I ate here this past Saturday. We were in the neighborhood originally for Red Cow, but it was a long wait. We were calling around to a few spots and decided on Mango Thai.
Small space but intimate. It wasnβt very busy so our food came out pretty fast. The food was hot and fresh. I recommend the pot stickers or the egg rolls.

My date and I had a terrific lunch with a pumpkin curry and delicious spring rolls. The service was fantastic as was the atmosphere :-)
Delish!
Outstanding every time. Been coming here for a few years now. Overdue for a review.
Food was plated beautifully and was delicious. Treated very kindly.
Delicious! We especially loved the mango spring rolls and the pad see iew. Everything was beautifully presented and the service was so friendly.
Iβve been eating at Mango since they opened and I loved the family service and food was always great. New owners are lazy and unprofessional. Beyond disappointed. The food was over cooked. I called to order and was told 30 minutes ended up waiting 1 hour. Itβs truly sad when money is more important than the customer. You definitely lost a loyal customer.
Affordable and very nice food.
I LOVE this place! The fresh spring rolls with mango and avocado are amazing. The green curry with fresh tofu is my go to. The vegetables are cooked lightly so they still have crunch and texture. I want to eat here every day.
I tied the Mango Sticky Rice & Mango Spring Rolls and I highly recommend. The Mango sticky rice was delicious and very instagrammable. The Spring rolls come with the usual fish sauce but also a nice slightly sweet peanut sauce. I will def. be back, I had to wait a little before someone came to the front but with food this good I don't mind waiting for a minute or two. Call or order ahead.
Good food , Good service.
Shrimp π€ Basil baby!
Amazing food! We got the mango spring rolls, chili mint beef, and cashew chicken (which was a tasty Thai version of the classic dish). Everything was made fast and fresh. The atmosphere is a little diy and they don't serve alcohol so it would make an excellent go-to take out joint.
Easy Street parking and no wait on a Saturday night. Recommended the mango spring rolls and the chili mint beef
The thai tea at this establishment was amazing. I loved how the owner made my visit feel so personal and that is something you don't get often these days!
I drive 20+ minutes to get the thai beef jerky and thai ice tea both are some of the best available in the twin cities
This is hands down THE BEST Thai food you will find! The mango spring rolls, the pad kee mao, ooooh the green sauce and the peanut sauce! You must try it all!!!!!
Food was delicious!
Excellent service from Mama Mango! She cooks everything fresh and the flavors absolutely are divine. All the dishes were exceptional and my favorite was the tom yum soup. I'm picky because some places can be too sweet, or too sour, or plain. You can taste all the fresh ingredients e.g. lemongrass etc. Just right! The Massaman Curry was a tad sweet but nothing to worry about.
Going back for sure! Call to reserve as Mama Mango handles most services and is the chef during weekdays!
Food is constantly good. Very friendly environment. Would recommend togo orders through the cold weather. Seating is uncomfortably cold.
Delicious food! They do not serve Pork which is wonderful as I'm deathly allergic. All of the dishes we have tried were phenomenal. Their food tastes just like what we ate in Thailand. It's like a mini vacation with the wonderful food and aromas.
I got some food to go. when I paid I saw a bunch of flies flying around, got home and found the flies in my food as well. They said they're working on it...
That papaya salad!!!!
All of the fresh dishes are perfect, sauces are great, the proteins were a little tough, but Iβll for sure come back for some fresh veg and spice.
I was disappointed. Spring rolls had something in them that did not taste right. Pad Thai was not very flavorful.
Lovely!
The green curry chicken is amazing! Best in the twin cities!
The service was quick and polite, and the food was delicious!
We have lived and eaten Thai food in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chicago, Los Angeles, Northern California, as well as having visited Thailand. This is in our top three. Besides top notch food, they have excellent service. They were closed due to an unanticipated kitchen shortage and the lady saw that we were looking in the window. She let us in, cooked us amazing food all by herself, and gave our kids free mango drinks. Clean and modern interior, but even if it was not good interior/service (which it is) the food would be worth it.
Delicious & kind staff!Β‘!
Fancy place, great staff and very delicious food
We are from Rochester and just moved here. And the location in Rochester is bigger but the food never disappoints. Great food. Warm customer service
Yumm
The food has GREAT flavor, and the restaurant itself makes a great date night spot. Very intimate and cute!
Nina iz da bezt haha I love Nina!
Small venue. Very quaint. Service was a very good and the food was outstanding.
Great food and service.....
Not as authentic as some other Thai places but pretty good.
Fast Service
I Like the place.
The best
I will go there again and order something different.
Inexpensive, tasty food with great presentation and service.
This used to be my favorite Thai place in the twin cities but on now 3 occasions when I called for takeout they were not open at their advertised time. Super disappointing.
What a great little place to eat! My wife loves Thai food and this is one of her favorite spots! Great service, Great staff and family friendly! I can't say enough about this place!
This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. If I could give zero stars I would. We sat down with one other table. At 545 pm. It took 20 minutes to even get food ordered. We then proceeded to sit until 7pm without ever receiving our app or food. 2 tables who arrived far after us were served before us. We never heard a word from anyone about where our food was. We were only even ever filled with water once. I have never written a review for a dining experience befojre but this was absolutely ridiculous.I would take pictures of the food but I never got it.
DO NOT GET TAKEOUT from this place! Placed my order over the phone, was told it would be ready in 25 minutes, so about 25-30 minutes later I arrive to pick up my food, they hadnβt even started preparing my food until I got there (of course no one told me this) as I proceeded to wait about 30 minutes for my food. No water, drinks or anything offered to me as I waited. Seriously RUDE, and my order wasnβt even right! But really I was just happy to get outta there! Never going back!
Excellent Food, Fabulous Staff π―
Amazing food! Cleand and friendly! Will definitely look forward again.
The food is absolutely amazing! Garlic chicken over steamed vegetable is the best! Egg rolls are amazing!
The waitress was horrible. She was on drugs or drunk. We were the only ones there and It took us 15 mins to get water, then 15 MORE minutes to get our drinks (iced tea). We ordered our food and it came 45 mins later. The chicken was so o overcooked it was like rubber and the curry was super grainy. Then she disappeared for over an hour and we had to go find her to ask for our check TWICE. Then we paid in cash and she went in the bathroom 3 times while we were standing there waiting, saying she was getting our change. She ended the day by breaking most of the dishes on our table as she tried to clean up. I sincerely hope they fire this woman. If that happens I'm guessing the quality will go way up. For now, spend your money and time elsewhere!
Every dish I tried was amazing! Great location, staff and owners are so friendly and the atmosphere tops it all off. Mango Thai Cuisine is by far one of my favorite "Go to" restaurants in the Twin Cities hands down! We highly recommend you try as much food on the menu as possible. Each dish leaves you wanting more.

A group of us ordered takeout last night and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. First of all they miscalculated the cost of our food over the phone by $25. One of the dishes we ordered was the walleye for $28- not cheap obviously. I think it had been fried 8 hours earlier and they microwaved it to heat it up. It was rubbery and tough and tasteless. They said it came in a flavorful black sauce which they forgot to put in our order. I have had better fish at MacDonalds. The spring rolls consisted of lettuce wrapped in rice paper. The fish sauce accompaniment was like corn syrup- sweet and gross. We also ordered a seafood pepper dish which was also sweet and not even a hint of pepper and only had rubbery shrimp in it. The chicken Pad Thai came with one piece of chicken and a shrimp and was also sweet. Perhaps someone confused the fish sauce bottle with a corn syrup bottle?π€ͺ. It was expensive for take out and pretty much inedible. I do t think I will be back. I hope dining in provides a better experience!
Pad Thai is great, but food is definitely overpriced... customer service is the worst however!
Their Tempura Pad Thai and Stick rice with Jerky are frickin amazing!!! 2nd anniversary is tonight and this is my choice!
Jerky and sticky rice was, egg rolls and Curry fried rice was amazing, friendly service and it's right down the street! See you soon! π
Amazing fricking eggrolls!!! I loved them as well as my kids.
I work at clean cuts and I love the experience when I go dine in or if I pick up. I love Ann sheβs great and I also say that as her barberππ
Pa thai tasted a little fishy. Mango spring rolls great.
I'd love to tell you how the food was here, but early on a Saturday night, when this small place was only about half full, we waited a little over an hour after we ordered food and an appetizer before realizing it would just be better to leave. No one spoke to us after we took our order. No one said the kitchen might be slow. No apology.
Not going back.
Great place, enjoyed the duck
The food was great
I used to love this place. The music was way too loud. Service was slow and a bit surly. Two stars only because the food is still really good, but is not enhanced by listening to 80s music at obnoxious levels.
Food is so good.
