Pho. Need to do more cleaning. If dining room needs clean.

Diner Review №3

The best I've had in a long time. Great price and great portions.

Diner Review №4

Diner Review №5

Always inconsistent with their spiciness level. It’s infuriating. They also prioritize DoorDash orders over their own site.

Diner Review №6

Food is good and consistent.

Diner Review №7

Favorite place to order thai on the east side

Diner Review №8

It's a good place try it out you will be happy and want to go back

Diner Review №9

Great food, ready in a flash. Great place to go with friends and share food.

Diner Review №10

Diner Review №11

Good food.

Diner Review №12

We love the large portions of pho 🍜

Diner Review №13

Food was very bland. Chicken dishes were lacking meat. Very little vegetables also. Staff was very friendly.

Diner Review №14

Very good experience

Diner Review №15

The food was not at all tasty or flavorful. Did not taste anything like Thai food. Everything tasted very artificial and weird. and Seems they just put whatever they had in kitchen an gave us the order. Wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone looking for good Thai food.

Diner Review №16

BEST and most authentic Thai food in the cities. My favorite is the shrimp laab. I don’t even live in the area but I look forward to the days I work in Saint Paul because I can come grab lunch here.

Diner Review №17

My favorite Thai restaurant, and I have gone to many. All dishes are good, but the sesame chicken is my favorite!

Diner Review №18

Food is great! However, some of their employees are very rude. I often do take out and when I arrive the same 2 employees give attitude and are rude. Today I asked the lady that handed me my order if I could get some hot sauce, she rolled her eyes and said, sriracha or chili oil? When I said both she again rolled her eyes and did it all rudely. Same response when I asked for silverware.

Diner Review №19

Second time visiting this place and both my wife and I really love its unique uncomplicated charm and delicious food. We’ve tried a few of the curry dishes as well as the fried rice dishes and some other as well and everything we’ve had so far has been really great. Can’t wait to head back for visit #3 sometime soon.

Diner Review №20

Trash service. If you know you're busy and behind, you should communicate that. Waited 45 minutes. I understand maybe the stir-fried dish we order can take longer, but the 2 pho ?? Also to mention, about 5-7 to go orders went out. And the table that was seated before us just got their pho.

Diner Review №21

Basic, no frills kind of place. Good food and decent service. I got the Pad see ew and was pleased. Cream cheese wonton were also yummy. Prices are decent. Husband got the Pad Thai and said it was also good. We also got an order of fried egg rolls which were delicious. Overall recommend.

The beef salad and pineapple fried rice is bomb wouldn't mind going there again

Diner Review №26

Ordered online, took them over an hour to make my food. Never ordering from here ever again.

Ordered the pad thai and pork belly fried rice. Both was covered in alot of soy sauce. The pad thai was not pad thai. It was so dark and salty. If ur expecting thai food, this is not the place to eat at.

Diner Review №27

I wish they didn’t have such bad service because their food is actually ok. I dined in and asked for Thai style papaya to go. They brought out Lao style papaya and the ticket even said it was Lao style. The server took the papaya, walked to the kitchen, then came back with the same exact container of papaya and said it was Thai style papaya. Lol. I was in a good mood so I didn’t press them any further and just took the papaya. I returned a week later and ordered Thai style papaya for pick up and lo and behold! They actually gave me Thai style papaya. You can tell the Thai style is a lot lighter than the Lao style. They’re both good, but some people just prefer the less fishy Thai version.

Diner Review №28

Decided to dine in for lunch today and did not have a good experience. Server sat me quickly but service after that was slow. I ordered the pork belly fried rice that everyone talks about and it was not great. Fried rice was definitely on the sweeter side and the pork belly tasted old and was super hard and dry. I felt sick after eating it. I don't think I'll be back to dine here again.

Appetizers:
cream cheese wontons (I’m not a fan of cream cheese but my friend rates them 10/10)
Spring rolls w/ no lettuce. (I loved this, I don’t like lettuce because it’s always being recalled. The peanut sauce really complimented these).
Main:
Combination pho (Fair warning the shrimp come with tail on, so I recommend removing before you start eating. The broth is rich and flavorful, you won’t even feel like you need to add anything to your pho!)

Diner Review №32

Diner Review №33

I ordered shrimp fried rice and cream cheese wontons for pick up, service was ok and timing was good but, the fried rice was bland and flavorless I was so disappointed because it looked so good, the color was perfect however as we all know looks can be deceiving and this was one of those. I had to pull out my garlic butter and a couple of my Asian seasoning’s and completely refried it. So disappointed!

Diner Review №34

The Tom Yam and Sesame Chicken were delicious. We were in the area and looking for something Thai and happy we came across this place. Will definitely be back if we are ever this way again. Was not very busy in the restaurant, but they were doing TONS of takeout.

Diner Review №35

Stopped in for pick up, very short wait, had some tea while i waited

Diner Review №36

Friendly staff & relaxed atmosphere, no bougie nonsense here.

Diner Review №37

Diner Review №38

Ordered Pad Thai hoping it would be a Pad Thai, but since this is Hmong owned/operated, the Pad Thai dish is more of a "Fawm Kib" in Hmong. It didn't taste bad, I was just hoping for a true pad thai taste. The sesame chicken was alright and the red curry was also decent- a little thick (but I'd rather that versus a super water thinned out curry). The cream cheese wontons were simple- the sauce is the sweet chili eggroll sauce you get from the grocery store so nothing special or unique about it. The sticky rice was pretty hard and it seemed old like it was sitting there for a day or two already. The edges were crusty and some parts of the middle were soggy so I ended up throwing it away. The regular rice was also a little on the harder side. If you're Hmong, make sure you have your own rice ready at home. :)

Diner Review №39

I've been going here for years. If you are tired of sweet, light pho and need something beefy, this is the go-to. Small, family-friendly restaurant.

I ordered this food through Door Dash. I got Chicken Pad Thai and it is amazing! My husband got the combination Pho and he said the pork belly was to die for. Legit Thai food that you will come back for.

Diner Review №43

I went to this place a lot during college because I used to live on the East side of Saint Paul but I've moved out the suburbs for a few years now. Decided to go back today, I'm 30 now, and it was still as good as I remember it. We got the pho, pad thai, chicken wings, pork belly, egg rolls and sticky rice. Everything was really good. The pork belly was super crispy and crunchy. The pho broth was delicious. The pad thai was my favorite because I've still yet to find another place that makes good padthai like Eastside Thai. Chicken wings and eggrolls were crispy and delicious. Definitely gonna make the trip to this restaurant and remains an oldie but a goody.

Diner Review №44

Great food.

Diner Review №45

It's a quiet, quaint, little asian restaurant that delivers great food 😋 👌
We were there with friends who wanted to check it out and we loved it ❤️

Diner Review №46

Diner Review №47

Great customer service and food is delicious

Diner Review №48

First time ordering from there. I ordered a tray of pork belly stir fry with chinese broccoli for my sons birthday. The order was not ready when we got there at the appointed time. They had to cook it. When we got home the dish was very watered plain and pork bellies were very hard and dry. After the party ended it was basically the only tray there that nobody touched. Definitely a wasted tray and I would not recommend ordering from there nor would I ever again.

Diner Review №49

I've been going here for many years.
Food is always wonderful, flavorful, and served in proper temperature

Diner Review №50

Diner Review №51

Got takeout and it wasn’t very good. Pad Thai tasted more like soy sauce and the cheese wontons didn’t have any flavor (no chives in them). The holy basil stir fry didn’t even come with the rice! Super disappointed.

Diner Review №52

Mrs precious was amazing and the rice was off the chain. Great place to eat

Diner Review №53

I was eager to try this place after hearing great things about its food. Exploring new local restaurants is something we enjoy, but our visit turned out to be a regrettable choice. From the moment we entered, the person at the front, possibly the owner, displayed extreme rudeness with no greeting. The menu is small and was presented by a gal without much enthusiasm, she looked mad.

The small, cramped space coupled with a lack of gratitude from the staff left us unimpressed. The spring rolls, they fell short in flavor compared to others I've tried. While the food was acceptable, the overall experience was marred by the disappointing customer service. It felt as if our presence wasn't valued. Its a small tight place. I would try other similar restaurants in the area.

Diner Review №54

They don't always answer their phone for carryout hours. Update review, my last order was vegan but I found chunks of chicken in my food. I'm not going back ever again!

Diner Review №55

Diner Review №56

The food here is bangin'. Eastside is the standard I hold every other Thai place too. I can't speak to authenticity as I'm not exactly a connosieur but the food is damn good and other Thai places dont hit the same.

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

Been coming here for years and the food is always great. Our go-to’s are pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and the coconut curry. We also always get the spring rolls. The place could be a little bit more clean and the sauce trays more organized and freshened up, but since the food never misses we look past it.

Diner Review №59

As a pho lover, a good friend brought me here to try something different (Thai/Hmong style) from the classic Vietnamese pho. Ordered combination pho which includes beef slices, beef meatballs and pork belly. Very tasty. Doesn’t need any other condiments besides lime or mint according taste otherwise maybe a bit too salty. Would definitely come back again.

Diner Review №60

This establishment charges extra to customers who pay with a credit card and the food was greasy.

Diner Review №61

We’ve been here a few times for lunch. Bathroom is downstairs. Limited parking. They do have Pho and tri color even though this is more of a Thai place. Pho is probably better elsewhere but it’s not terrible.

Diner Review №62

Diner Review №63

I travel all over the country for work and the best Thai food is in my hometown. Small place with a comfortable atmosphere and awesome food.

Diner Review №64

Food is perfect everytime whether we eat in or take out.

Diner Review №65

Food and service were terrific! Place could use an update, but it was still nice.

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

Diner Review №68

Food and especially service has gone down a lot from when they were still new years ago. The food is not consistent in taste/flavor but when you get lucky and go in on a day that the food is good then it’s great. Service is horrible, you have to consistently ask for refills on water and all the waiters/waitresses are usually sitting at a table together just on their phones and they would just let their restaurant phone ring and ring and ring. I don’t know how anyone gets through to make take out orders. I’ve even called before to try and order food for pick up and the phone just kept ringing, called again two more times and still no answer but if you drive to the restaurant they’re there. At that point I just decided they didn’t need my business and went elsewhere.

Diner Review №69

Diner Review №70

Won’t answer their phone, hours might be wrong

Diner Review №71

Diner Review №72

Got there when they opened. We were a big group. The only complaint I had was the pho. It tasted weird. It's give you an awful aftertaste. Idk if the noodle was bad or the broth.
The portion is big.

Diner Review №73

Tried the pork belly fried rice and it was delicious! Extra large combination pho was a big portion and pretty good for restaurant pho. Only con for the pho is that there could've been more shrimp, beef and pork belly. The place is a little old, outdated and small but overall great experience and would definitely come back for the food!

Diner Review №74

This my favorite pho place. This is the spot

Diner Review №75

Their wings and spring rolls are really good. Also, nice place to dine in for lunch.

Diner Review №76

I never knew about this place until but parents introduced me to it. I love the fried rice, it was so different and I loved the brown rice. The cream cheese wontons were great. The fried chickens were bomb, took it home to eat! Loved it, I would come back again! ❤️

Diner Review №77

This was my favorite place to eat before I moved away 3 years ago. I recently moved back 2 weeks ago and decided to go back to this place for some of my favorite food. The service has gone down a whole lot. Walked in, owner just looked up and stared at us, looked around and then finally got up to grab us a seat. Didn’t greet us, nada. Just told us in a mumble voice saying sit anywhere and then we sat and he walked away. Waitress came, took our order, brought us drinks. Waited for a good 10-15mins before we got our food which was fine. Water was out, no refill. There was a waiter and two other waitresses that walked by us a number of time and did not give us water refill until we finally asked. There was one dish that we never received which I think was given to another customer (because I saw the two waitress looking at the order slip and then chatting, staring/pointing at us and then staring and pointing at the other customer). They didn’t come say anything to us at all about our missing dish until we almost got done eating and had asked why it hasn’t come out. The waitress gave no explanation except “umm, oh yeah, ok”. My husband and I just told them to cancel that dish since we no longer want it cause we were almost done eating and didn’t want to sit around waiting for it.
When I went to pay for our tab, the owner was standing at the register doing something and did not bother to look up to say anything to us. He kept us standing there waiting for a good 5mins or so before he took our tab to ring us up (even when he took the tab to ring us up, he still didn’t say anything. Only thing he said was the total cost). They added a card charge of 2.xx to the tab which I paid with cash and didn’t realize the charge until I had left. This should’ve been taken off. After I paid for our meal, he didn’t say anything such as “thank you come again or have a good day.”Nothing. He handed me my change and continue to what he was doing before. Worse customer service ever and didn’t even get the dish that I wanted to eat. The dishes that we did eat, I feel like the flavor wasn’t on point like how I’ve had it in the past. Won’t be going back again. Almost forgot to mention, they didn’t clean the bamboo container that was used for sticky rice cause when we were eating our rice, my husband flipped the bamboo cover over and there was a chunk of super dried sticky rice under the cover from who knows how long ago.

Diner Review №79

Great place to enjoy farm to table food and some fantastic drinks.

Diner Review №80

I love the heat level of all their dishes.

Diner Review №81

Wish I could rate 0 stars 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Diner Review №82

Waited almost 1 hour for food. But pickup orders were consistently and constantly being brought out. Food was cold, unsure when it was made or how long it's been set out. Curry was way to sour. Flavor and service are not there yet. Didn't finish our food, just paid and left.

Diner Review №83

Tastiest clear tofu soup I had. The meat had this subtle sweetness and deep savory profile. Lovely casual spot.

Diner Review №84

Please replace furnitures

Diner Review №85

Seated when empty. Two other tables seated. Employee went in back looking at his phone. Different server came out minutes later and took order of others. We left.

Diner Review №86

By the grace of god, there go I…. To east side Thai!

Diner Review №87

Diner Review №88

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. The food is fabulous and big portions. It's not close to my house so sadly I don't get there often. Love the Loa Green Salad. The Drunkards Noodles were wonderful their pork belly.

Family also loved the shrimp fried rice and Pad Thai.

Diner Review №89

House sitting in the area and wanted to try some local fried rice. Made the right choice. Was fresh, delicious, and they even made it spicy for me. 10/10 chicken fried rice, Recommend.

Diner Review №90

Service is not very personal. I didn’t feel welcomed. Food was good.

Diner Review №91

Delicious food and sweet people

Diner Review №92

My family and I have been coming here for some time now, dining in and take out. The food is delicious, with my favorite being the egg rolls and crispy pork belly fried rice. Great service and nice little place to eat in.

Diner Review №93

Food is great, Family owned so sometimes might need to wait
But food comes fast once ordered

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №99

Diner Review №100

Had their Pho and tastes like drinking salt water.

Diner Review №101

Food and service was great! The only thing that worries me a bit is the floor. It's quite slippery 🤕

Diner Review №102

Pain trying to call for take out. Service always slow. 1 hour wait time for takeout.

Diner Review №103

Excellent dining experience all around! The food was well-prepared and the portions were generous. My wife and I, in addition to our entrées, got an order of fried rice to share. It was not only HUGE but the best we've ever had!!! We definitely will be recommending Eastside Thai to others.

Diner Review №104

First time going . Good service . The bathroom in the basement is a little musty , but some of the best sesame chicken , soup and cream cheese wontons we’ve ever had . I ordered an ice tea and although very yummy I could swear it was a powder tea ? A fun time !

Diner Review №105

Pretty good food and service the music in the background wasn't inclusive to a dinning experience

Diner Review №106

You wanna think about going here

Diner Review №107

Don’t know where all the high reviews are coming from. Maybe dinning in is better than pick-up or delivery. I ordered $90 worth of food and am disappointed in all the dishes. Everything was salty. Only thing that was decent was the fried chicken wings and sticky rice.

Diner Review №108

Pad thai was tasteless.

Diner Review №109

Been doing takeout here since supatra closed. Good food and pad thai, best veggie stir fry I've ever had. Veggies are all done perfectly and just tastes perfect

Diner Review №110

Food was excellent and service was great. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Thai food.

Diner Review №111

Very good food, and listens to special instructions. I’ve gotten great food and service while dining in and taking out several times. My favorite is the combination pho (no pork belly). Very flavorful broth and I never have to add fish sauce. I also enjoy their fried rice and fried chicken. Every once and a while I also order their Kapoon and it tastes delicious. Whenever I’m craving Burmese Ohn no khao swè (Coconut noodles) and don’t have quick access to some I always order some kapoon from eastside Thai as a replacement. Of course it is not the same, but gets the job done. Their kapoon is on the savory side rather than the bitter side which I enjoy. It is really up to your taste preference. Though I usually don’t order the pad thai, my father enjoys it extra spicy and orders it often. There is usually a diverse group of people who eat here, and I don’t remember ever feeling discriminated against at Eastside Thai. Definitely one of my East side favorites!

Diner Review №112

I have gone to east side thai for years and it has been great. But the past two times i’ve gone to them the spring rolls have been hard and rubbery, you can tell they’re not fresh. And the most recent time i’ve gone my mom and I got really bad food poisoning from the pad thai. I don’t know what the deal is with east side thai lately but I don’t see myself coming back.

Diner Review №113

A nice neighborhood spot. Good food and service, large portions, and reasonable prices.

Loved the pad thai and cream cheese wontons. The tom kha here seems thicker and creamier than at other places, but we enjoyed it.

Diner Review №114

Our FAVORITE Thai food restaurant <3

Diner Review №115

Love the pineapple red curry so much! I always get it with chicken. The only thing is that sometimes it’s spicier than other times. So you don’t really know what you’re going to get. I also don’t like that you can’t substitute for sticky rice. You have to buy it separately. But the curry is my absolute favorite!

Diner Review №116

Best egg rolls I’ve had and the Laab is yummy!

Diner Review №117

The spring rolls were fresh & tasty (but too bad they didn't have real peanut sauce), and the egg rolls weren't bad.

Diner Review №118

Shrimp Fried rice salty and only 4 pieces of shrimp. Could’ve added more veggies If I wanted plain fried rice I could’ve made that at home. Disappointed.

Diner Review №119

Yummy

Diner Review №120

Food was OK. Service was OK. Restroom lock does not work. For being a family restaurant, sucked that there isn't a changing table for toddlers/babies.

Diner Review №121

The servers could be a little more attentive about water refills but other than that this is my go to place for my favorite dish "Khaub Poob". I usually ask for a little less veggies or to put it on the side because they do use a lot to garnish sometimes but the broth is the best in town next to my homemade version! I'm super picky because it's my favorite dish and I'll only eat it here if I'm too lazy to make it myself. Khaub Poob is a very hearty and delicious coconut curry vermicelli rice noodle dish with chicken. It's so amazing, I personally prefer it over pho because I love that it's already made good to eat and I normally don't need to sit for 10 minutes flavoring it like with Pho.. their other side dishes are tasty too but I just loveeeeee me my Khaub Poob! Haha

Diner Review №122

Some of the very best!!

Diner Review №123

Diner Review №124

Always has amazing food and very friendly staff. One time we arrived late close to closing and still was treated like they appreciated us. Friendly to my baby too. I always recommend

Diner Review №125

We ordered a bunch of food for an event we were having at our body shop and it was a smash hit with everyone that came by. The Event was for auto hail damaged vehicles and we were able to feed a bunch of people for a very reasonable price.

Highly recemend them.

Diner Review №126

2.5 stars food was decent. Pork fried rice was on the sweeter side for fried rice it was good just seemed a bit on the sweet side for fried rice. Egg rolls were meh. Spring rolls were good the sauce was lacking though. The shrimp laab was about 25% shrimp and 75 beansprouts and onions. The shrimp were also cut in half not sure If this was to give the impression of more shrimp but for $16 I'd expect more shrimp. Not sure if the quality is different when eating in as this was a bite squad/delivery order.

Diner Review №127

Diner Review №128

Everything I've had is great. Only bummer is they use styrofoam. Please stop.

Diner Review №129

A great place for food, nice little no frills but great flavor spot. Super friendly helpful staff.

Diner Review №130

First time here and it was a good experience. If I have the chance to visit again, I would try other items on their menu. (I'm not from the area.)

The space is cozy, nicely decorated. Staff during our time there was attentive. It was empty coming on a Sunday right when they opened; the space gradually got fuller when we were done with our meal.

We ordered tri-color, pho combo, pork belly drunkard's noodle, meat combo Thai fried rice, catfish curry, beef pad Thai, and a to-go order of crispy pork belly fried rice.

Tri-color was the perfect amount of sweetness; a very refreshing balance with the savory dishes.

We agreed that the catfish curry was a great dish with it's sweet and savory heat pairing well with the white rice that came with it.

Noodle dishes were good as well. Wish there were the traditional extras that usually comes with pad Thai like lime and red pepper flakes, but it did not.

Overall, it was over $95, without tip. Cash tip was provided.

Diner Review №131

I've lived in the area for almost 2 years now. I, for months have come here at least 1 or 2 times a week. Their Rama Curry, and Pad Ka Praw are to die for, truly a must try (don't forget to add some spice to the Pad Ka Praw). Service is excellent, prices are very fair. Don't miss some of the best and most authentic Thai food on the East Side!

Diner Review №132

AMAZING FOOD

Diner Review №133

Perfect fish dishes! Everything was spot on. I purposely ordered tamarind vs tomato versions. They did a splendid job on differentiating their flavors. Big portion. Flavorful with reasonable price.

Diner Review №134

One of my favorite Thai Fried Rice place. The one I usually get is the Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice, for take out. The portion is a good amount. If one day down the line they decided to lower the portion, I would not be sure if I would order anymore. Also their Pho is great too. But it would be great if for take out, they included just a bit more broth. I found the broth not enough most of the time I order for take out (Pho).

Diner Review №135

My coworker used to always order from here, so I figured it was great. It was ok at best. A little pricey for what you get. A bit underseasoned for me.

Diner Review №136

I got to the restaurant early for my doordash pick up ..... So I order chicken fried rice.....
Wow it was delicious..... So sweet and full of vegetable..... It's for sure the best fried rice I had ....... Thank you very much.... Will comeback

Diner Review №137

The pho isn't gluten free. Bummer

Diner Review №138

The food was good, but my other half swears its the best 😁! Service was good, and it was a very chill atmosphere.

Diner Review №139

Love their food! Their pork belly is amazing!

Diner Review №140

Sad that they make the spring rolls not fresh n da outer layer were very hard meat has a smell to it...only thing gd was da pho...

Diner Review №141

Everything about my order was wrong. Ordered spring rolls, got egg rolls. Ordered vermicelli salad, came with NO dressing or sauce. Entire dinner is unedible. And cold. They weren't even sorry.

Diner Review №142

Food was wonderful! It was very flavorful without being overly spicy.

Diner Review №143

Had to ask for utensils.
Had to wait for all the food to eat together.
Food was all lukewarm, at best.
Nothing was piping, off the grill, hot like it usually is. Even the appetizers weren’t very appetizing.
Just way off for what is usually a great experience . Very disappointing this time around.

Diner Review №144

Diner Review №147

My favorite place for pho in the twin cities thus far! Would recommend to anyone who wants some good pho!

Diner Review №148

I love this restaurant! I’ve been coming here since high school and the quality of the food has always been excellent. Their pad Thai noodles are the best and I love that you can accommodate the spicy levels. The broccoli in oyster sauce is another favorite. This place is definitely a staple for the East Side!

Diner Review №149

Diner Review №150

Very delicious!

Diner Review №151

The food was nice 👍

Diner Review №152

Ordered off of door dash, I got pad thai, eggrolls and the wontons. Everything was INCREDIBLE

Diner Review №153

Great local shop with some food that will hit the spot.

Diner Review №154

Ordered pad ka pow, pad ew see, and pho combination. Both pad ka pow and pad ew see where decent enough to eat. However, the Pho combination was terrible. Pretty much water and a pinch of beef chili paste. It was so watered down that I took one bite and stopped eating because it had no flavor at all. Would not recommend the Pho at all. All the good Pho reviews are probably fake.

Diner Review №155

The best

Diner Review №157

Something about restaurants on Payne. They are all great and this place is no exception. Always a pleasure to visit for some delicious Thai food.

Diner Review №158

Diner Review №159

Always a great place to visit occasionally. The food hits the spot, and the staff are friendly. I always gravitate towards their fried rice dishes.

Diner Review №160

Everything we ordered was delicious and portions are generous. 6 of us shared 2 orders of Drunk noodles with shrimp, 1 pineapple fried rice, 1 regular fried rice w/ added vegetables, and 2 orders of pad Thai—one chicken and one with vegetables. We had enough leftover for three more meals. Dishes were aromatic, not too spicy (but I believe you can request more heat if desired), and there are plenty of options for those who are gluten free or vegetarian. Will definitely order from East Side Thai again soon!

Diner Review №161

Diner Review №162

So freaking delicious. The food is soul warning . Cute chill relaxing vibes and fast service. Loved it

Diner Review №163

Nice local Thai restaurant. Nothing too fancy. I got the fresh young ginger stir fry with Thai tea

Diner Review №164

Diner Review №165

Fourth time I've had been here and I already got food poisoning. Haven't had food poisoning in the past 10+ yrs from restaraunts. Vomiting, diarrhea, fever, chills. I got it from the chicken laab....

Pork belly are rocks. Chicken laab was obviously a fail. Sticky rice is not sticky rice. It sticks to your fingers and doesn't have the correct texture. Lao style Papaya was decent and dark broth pho was decent too. I'd only come here for the dark broth pho. Nothing else.

Had a pick up order the other day for papaya salad. Called twice and no one picked up then sent a Facebook message. Message said they were open and for us to call to place an order and then after calling twice they finally pick up. I arrive and go in to get my order and she just stares at me as if she was irritated that I walked in while she was putting up chairs. She goes to check me out very fast and as I ask for fork and spoons she looks at me then walks off. I stand there waiting but she just takes another look and continues to clean. Not returning to this restaurant again.

Their drunken noodles are not drunken noodles. Idk what it is, but it is not good. Sorry. It was plain, salty, dry, had like three pieces of tofu… the other dishes were not good either. Will not return.

Diner Review №178

I ordered drunken noodles, the noodles came out extremely greasy and not very flavorful. The plate was 90% noodles and very little veggies or meat. The server and host seemed unhappy and barely spoke to us other than what was needed to take our order. Looking at the pho on someone else's table it seemed good but from my experience this was not a good place to eat. Also next day I had indigestion and general icky feeling.

I really hate leaving this review because this used to be my favorite Thai spot but things have went really downhill in the past year. Prices have gone up and portions have went down? Today I ordered an extra large pho like I normally do and they used to give you 2 containers of broth but apparently it's only 1 now and they only fill the container 2/3 of the way but the noodles and meat still have the same quantity. I barely have enough broth for all the ingredients. Last time I ordered a drunken noodle and paid for extra chicken and there was barely any chicken and it was super dry. Hopefully things go back to normal soon or I'll be going elsewhere

I remember this place use to be good, haven't ordered here in awhile, had the pad kra pow, thai papaya salad , fried rice and sticky rice. Everything was a disappointment. Either it was too sweet or too salty. Sorry but Krungthap will be my go to now.

This rating goes towards their employee Pakou. Called into make an order. If any of you know vermicelli salad is also called and is also known as Bun. She didn’t seem to understand and said kapoon, I politely told her no that wasn’t it and as I started to say vermicelli she cut me off and hangs up. Her extract words “no we don’t” and hung up. That was rude and uncalled for. I feel that if you are unfamiliar with the menu or unsure please just ask. If you are just rude please do not work at a job that you’ll have to deal with customers. I understand if I was rude and disrespectful but I was none of that. As I called back to speak with the manager she stated that the manager was too busy to talk. I don’t know if she was just having a bad day but don’t be rude. Since the manager was too busy I hope he’ll see this post and have a conversation with his staff about being polite. I did not write this to bash on her or anything but just so she can improve in her customer service skills.

We got lunch delivered and it was fantastic. I was really impressed with the laab and the papaya salad -- very fresh, and a great balance of flavors and textures.

I ordered my Pad Thai extra spicy and was not disappointed! I also appreciated that it was not too sweet, and the chicken tasted fresh.

We also had chicken wings, and they tasted quite fresh as well.

Overall, the food exceeded my expectations, and I got the sense that all of our dishes were made lovingly and thoughtfully. Great prices, too. We will be going back!

Small portions. The dishware such as plates, bowls, and utensils is like the ones at the cheap grocery store. Old plates, cups and bowls. Taste in some of their menu food is Good, but not all such as their Pho.
Order Chicken curry and you get a tiny small cup of rice🤦‍♂️

Their sticky rice is heated for way too long that it is mushy when you grab it into your hands and some parts of the sticky rice has dried up hard.
Food and atmosphere not worth the money. For me I rather go else where. For what they are it's like eating at the Mall.

They need to upgrade and update. I expect a little more from a restaurant if I am going Out to Eat. I get that they are small and is no 5 star restaurant with executive chefs but just a simple Line Cook in the back. But east side thai is boring and old in all categories: food, dishware and atmosphere. That is how I feel about them as of now until they update.😐

They have THE BEST KHAOPOON. Hands down.

Diner Review №191

Good food and portions.
Polite staff

Good food and service. Have been there 3 or 4 times. But the interior is very old. They need remodeling. And everything is not very clean. I would go here more often but I wish that the dine in experience will be better…

Diner Review №193

We drove 45 minutes to order take out from East Side Thai and everything was savory and delicious as usual. Quality is great and my orders are always fresh and hot. We ordered pork belly fried rice, spring rolls, pad see yew and jumbo pho. The jumbo pho was split into two bowls when we got home and it was more than enough to feed two big adults. I like everything I've tried so far but the pork belly fried rice draws me back every time. The kapoon is usually top notch too, you really can't go wrong with anything.

Despite an amazing menu, I've never had anything but the crispy pork belly fried rice. Every. Time. Because it's that good.
