Always delicious.

Diner Review №3

The green curry with chicken was delicious.
I had the pad Thai with chicken and it was the best I have ever had, we will return every time we are in St. Cloud.

Diner Review №4

I didn't care for the food. Wasn't what I expected. My friend ordered chicken wings and they were great! Will go back and try something else.

Diner Review №5

The pad Thai and fried rice were both well made, but it was overpriced and they messed up our appetizer order

Diner Review №6

The food was fantastic. The servers are very nice

Everything was fabulous!
We had the Coconut soup with shrimp, fresh rolls, spring rolls, peanut curry dish, Thai iced tea & sticky rice.
I would love to see 1 open in Baraboo, WI!!!

Diner Review №10

The noodles were over cooked but the hospitality and service was excellent.

Diner Review №11

Diner Review №19

Not a bad place. We were seated right away once we entered. The first dish I ordered was the Panaeng beef curry. I ordered with the spiciest they could make it. The green peppers were the main spice but sadly they only add chili powder that is not spicy at all. So I would say this is American level spicy which is spicy like red pepper flakes. Second I ordered the pad Thai with beef. The portion is great but sadly the protein portion is not that great. There were like 5 thin pieces of beef in there. I wish they could give more beef because noodles & Co gives the same portion with a whole top layer of the bowl of protein for the same price. I like that it was very saucy though. Sadly for a Thai restaurant, the food is catered towards the American community. So do not expect anything to actually be spicy. Overall, great staff and food. I would definitely go for a few more visits to try the rest of the menu.

Diner Review №20

A great hole in the wall restaurant with a ton of character. The food is far from bad, but it won't blow your mind, and the wait staff was very friendly and personable. I'll most likely be a return customer.

Diner Review №21

The new owners really have made this a second place!

The food is delicious, it feels like home, absolutely LOVE supporting these wonderful women!!!

Stop in for some delicious Thai!

Thai it you'll like it!

Diner Review №23

My partner and I were so excited to come eat at Sawatdee St. Cloud, now under management and ownership of Annie and Adrienne! We didn’t expect to sit down and enjoy the tastiest Thai food of our lives thus far. (Obviously we’ll be back for more!)
The atmosphere is super chill, vintage, and has personal style. The music was a sweet treat. Some nice Thai pop and smooth jazz.

Sue’s Egg Rolls are the BEST egg rolls either of us have ever had. They were perfection. The fresh vegetarian spring rolls were amazing as well. The subtle chewiness of the wrap and noodles inside and the crunchiness of the fresh veggies, all ties together with the yummy semi-sweet peanut sauce for a deliciously light appetizer.

We both got the Sweet Green Curry Chicken at a heat level 3/5. It was the perfect amount of spice for us. Grandma might prefer level 1. 😌
The rice was cooked to perfection and the curry was so flavorful and creamy. The veggies were soft but still had a delightful crunch to them. The chicken was tender and great quality as well.

We finished the meal off with the Sawatdee Strawberry Sundae (also available in chocolate and caramel) complete with chopped peanuts and their famous sweet sticky rice. This was the perfect way to cool our tongues after the delicious spiciness. Huge portion and amazing taste was worth the price. I was hesitant to try ice cream with rice but oh my goodness it is heaven in a bowl.

Tl;dr:
Quality fresh ingredients and perfected recipes make Sawatdee a St. Cloud MUST try- again and again and again.

Diner Review №24

Sawatdee is garbage because you cannot trust when they are open (like a lot of places these days). If you want Asian food in St Cloud, go to DK Express.

Diner Review №25

We love the food here!

Diner Review №26

I love the curry they have but lately they have been making it incredibly inconvenient just to eat there.. They purposely leave the phone off the hook during business hours making people be forced to drive all the way there just to place an order they planned to take to go anyway and have to wait 20/30 minutes until the order is ready... I guess they have so many customers during a very financially strapped time for most they can afford to completely alienate long time patrons by making it impossible to order unless you are in person.. I don't think I'll be continuing to eat at this restaurant.

Diner Review №27

Amazing food as usual!

Diner Review №28

Diner Review №29

Owner is out of control. Staff acts like it's an imposition to eat here. Food Okey but not worth the money. Look in kitchen extremely dirty and place should be condemned. I'd you want dust in your food eat here.Again attitude from owner I wish u could give no stars

Diner Review №30

Food is ok I would recommend the noodle soup and chicken wings

Diner Review №31

Large order for my family. Food is always hot and fresh. We had several special requests and they were all done correctly.

Diner Review №32

I really enjoyed every dish I tried from this restaurant. I recommend it to everyone who is looking to try something different.

Diner Review №33

Diner Review №34

Tried different items per our servers recommendation and wasn’t let down. Pad Thai was delicious as well. Impressed and will come back soon!

Diner Review №35

Great food and perfectly seasoned dishes.

Both the hostess and chef are polite and have warming personalities.

I ordered the Pad Thai with pork and it was very very good.

For the heat rating I usually get 3 out of 5.

Which is typically just enough heat to give you more flavor with out it being to over whelming that lead to bites of food between sips of milk.

Diner Review №36

Pricey food with average taste. Take out takes longer than they say. Spicy level is never right or consistent. Service is SLOWWWW. Been waiting 10 minutes for my take out that was supposed to be ready in 25 minutes.

UPDATE: 10/2/2021 busy signal trying to order. Give me a break is it 1992??? Terrible service! I had to drive here to place an order. Waste of my time...

Diner Review №47

Diner Review №48

Pad Thai and Rama Thai Delight, both with shrimp. Yum!

Diner Review №49

Diner Review №50

When dine-in is available, I’m coming in every day.

Diner Review №51

This is some of the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. The broth was extremely high quality, the chicken pieces were large discernible chicken pieces.

The only problem is that they don’t say that they’re an upscale premium Thai restaurant. They make it hard to see the prices, there is nothing on the menu to let you know. So I was quite surprised when dinner for a family of 4 was $80. But the portions were huge and we could have ordered half as much.

Overall it was an extraordinary deal, but I was put off by the lack of transparency on the prices (or portions?) and by the fact that they don’t really accept cash, and their Covid policies (now that there’s a widely available vaccine I don’t get the full lockdown).

Diner Review №52

Food is okay , the wings are amazing! Best in St. Cloud.

Diner Review №53

Diner Review №54

Tried their egg rolls and green curry.the egg rolls were filling and we're up to the mark.the curry was hot and tasty as well. Will try more next time.

Diner Review №55

We ordered delicious meal, including appetizer and dessert. Curbside pickup only. The staff does a wonderful job packing up the food.

I absolutely love Sawatdee, for so many reasons. I remember my first taste of their sweet green curry, it was life-changing. I've been a foodie ever since. I've head Thai all over the place, and largely Sawatdee remains the best. Try the menu, there's so much flavor to discover.

Diner Review №64

Love the food!!!!

Diner Review №65

Always delicious!

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

Diner Review №68

This was the best cooking from here, we've ate in a very long time. Too long. The pad thai had enough chicken, onion, noodle, sauce. It was perfect, and delicious. Staff was super friendly too. Which also has not been the case, for far too long. We stopped coming actually due to the decrease in food quality and customer service. Well, the food, and staff, knocked it outta the park.

Diner Review №69

The Thai Roasted Duck, the Spring Rolls, the Spicy Curry! So good! Love this place so far. Lunch. Blessed! 😇

Diner Review №70

👍👍

Diner Review №71

This place has the Best Spring rolls and regular egg rolls. Must try if you like them.🤤

Diner Review №72

This is our birthday spot we love to have the jerky here as well as mango and sticky rice or custard when mangos are out of season paired with any entre you can't go wrong they are doing take out durring the pandemic, but my most favorite expiriance was when my two oldest 2 boys had worked all summer and asked to take me out, They took me there I felt so loved. They just grew up in a blink that night the food was extra good. I recommend go make some memories. You must try the jerky.

Diner Review №73

Diner Review №74

Foods are delicious .

Diner Review №75

EXPENSIVE!!!!! Order of thai noodles...2 spring rolls...2 egg rolls...29 dollars!!!! Very tasty though

Diner Review №76

I have been eating at Swatdee for several years but have never sat down to write a review. Pre covid I would frequently visit the lunch buffet, which I hope someday can return to do so as it is amazing. Post covid however I continue to support Swatdee as they have a terrific curbside pickup option, no need to enter the store to pay or pick up the food which is a HUGE plus. The food is terrific and I have yet to have anything on the menu that I have not enjoyed. Be aware that if you want spice, they mean spice, and a 5 spicy actually means it is going to be spicy. I cannot recommend Swatdee enough, the portion sizes are generous and the customer service has always been top notch.

Diner Review №77

Really bad customer service and misleading menu descriptions. I ordered their Rama Thai Delight, on menu it says its in peanut curry sauce and coconut milk but when I opened the box it was anything but curry sauce, it looked and tasted exactly like crunchy peanut butter paste and it tasted horrible. When i called them to tell about it, the lady who picked up the phone threw a massive attitude and told me not to order food from their restaurant again. Terrible experience and waste of time & money. Also, the food was to go and I obviously didn’t want to tip before tasting the food but they kind of forced me to add tip while I ordered on phone. Not going back ever.

Diner Review №78

Amazing food, so many favorites. Best pad thai I've had.

Diner Review №79

The Pad Thai is incredible. Good food and good people.

Diner Review №101

I had the lunch buffet which was reasonably priced with a nice little selection of foods for making salads and having rice or noodle entrees with rolls or won tons.

Diner Review №102

Diner Review №103

Usually good. My partner got food poisoning this time around.

Diner Review №104

Amazing food, and has the most gluten free choices of anywhere around town.

Diner Review №105

The best.

Diner Review №106

Diner Review №107

One of my favorite places in town! Vegetarian options are diverse and delicious. Great appetizers, entrees and when mango is in season the dessert is spot on.

Diner Review №108

Food was fine if it wasn't for the lack of cleanliness. Backed up toilet, dirty cup, general disrepair of the place. Will not be going back.

Diner Review №109

The air was out when we were here in August so that wasn't ideal but the food was authentic and good. The service was great, the waiter was very friendly.

Diner Review №110

Diner Review №111

Panang beef curry level 4 is one of the best things I have eaten, order with sticky rice.

Diner Review №114

Diner Review №115

Giving them 5 stars because they have the BEST CHICKEN WINGS I’ve ever had!!!! I didn’t quite like the noodles dish here but the chicken wings tho! Ughhh so good!!!!

Diner Review №116

Great Thai food

Diner Review №117

Diner Review №118

Diner Review №119

Love the food and the service!

Diner Review №120

Not authentic Thai food. But this is the only Thai restaurant in the town.

Diner Review №121

Diner Review №122

TLDR: If you're looking for decent Thai and willing to pay a little extra, this place is pretty good.

If you're looking for great Thai, keep looking.

Remember however that this seems to be the only Thai place in town.

They got my spice level perfect, however there wasnt enough sauce on my noodles to actually flavor everything. Leaving my chicken tasting like slightly dry grilled chicken.

I also got fresh spring rolls which used a fish and sweet soy sauce mix with peanut pieces on top. Although pretty good, not as good as what I'm used to elsewhere.

Overall the food was fresh and well prepared. Wait time was a bit excessive, as was the price.

Portion size seemed pretty good as well.

Diner Review №123

Closest thing to authentic thai food but the taste is a little off.

Diner Review №130

I ordered the pad se ewel . Taste was ok but it was not made the proper way with the wide noodles . I been to Thailand and have this dish many times being its my favorite .

Diner Review №131

Never disappoints and affordable

Diner Review №132

I love Thai food! I think it’s cool how they offer buffet and regular menu.

Diner Review №133

Okay place

Diner Review №134

it was a little expensive but very good food was fresh n flavorful waiter was very nice n on top of his job spring rolls are a must wonton soup was very delicious spicy noodles were good the peanut sauce for the spring rolls was super fire

Diner Review №135

It can take a while to get your food, so make sure you visit when you have time to spare. They offer vegetarian options. You can choose the level of spice as they have a scale of 1 to 5. Order a 4 or 5 if you want a kick!

Diner Review №136

Diner Review №137

Diner Review №138

Lunch buffet is pretty good with fair price. $10 with 7 entree, spring rolls, salad.

Diner Review №139

Diner Review №140

Diner Review №147

Such good food and awesome service too! Pad Thai is amazing! During off times they tend to be a bit faster than the time they give on the phone if it's pickup, and they have a great little lunch buffet that gives people a chance to try stuff without ordering a full meal. 5 STARS!

Diner Review №156

I'm not from Minnesota but this is definitely not authentic Thai food. Well I am not sure but after eating good Thai food in LA, Seattle and New York this tastes so awkward and different.

Service was good. Maybe this taste pallette fits the area and culture but it wasn't for me.

Diner Review №157

Seen this place for years but never tried it. Had the lunch buffet which was pretty good and inexpensive, but was pretty small for a buffet. Service was good too! Will be coming back!

Diner Review №173

We ordered hot tea. The tea was served to us lukewarm. We waited 10 minutes for our server to come back, we explained the tea was not hot, and he shot back at us with an attitude "I don't know why you think it's not hot, the cups are warm!" We got up and left. There is NO excuse for a server to mouth off to a guest. (If the owner is reading this, he was a short skinny guy with black hair in a ponytail, and a goatee, wearing glasses. He should be reprimanded and trained in proper customer service. It's no wonder the place was a ghost town.(

Diner Review №174

Best egg rolls ever!

Diner Review №181

Diner Review №182

My guy picked me up a silver thread noodle salad and there again it was dry no sauce , this happened before also he called it in , came in the restaurant they knew nothing about it so he had to wait all over again I think he needs to be refunded . The salad was so dry and he was working today he didn't need to be waiting there I have said something to owner about the problem she will not refund but just wants to try another one. I would like to be refunded. .

Diner Review №183

Always good food off the menu especially the Rama Thai Delight. Sue's eggrolls are good along with the chicken satay.
Service for me has been generally good. I've never had to wait.
It's a little pricey with appetizers.
The building is outdated and really ready for a remodeling project. The bathrooms need cabinets to hid the cleaning supplies. This place has looked the same for 20 years. Give it a new look please. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.

Diner Review №184

Diner Review №185

The service here was abysmal. We came in a bit of a hurry, and politely informed the waiter. What ensued was an orchestra of antics on his part that both wasted our time, and made us uncomfortable. He wanted to portray that he is in charge, and we were a forced audience to his prepared monologues in response to questions about things such as spice level.

The food was mediocre. The curry was runny, thin.. but the flavor was okay. Not surprising, the pad thai was sweet. When I asked for some Sriracha, I was informed that would be an additional charge. What restaurant charges for a condiment!? I asked him if he was joking, he was then amenable to bring me a spice tray, "free of charge," because he could "let that one slide."

The only beer available was Sam Adams, and the woman gave me strange vibes for ordering one.

The setting was very old fashioned, not at all stimulating. I wouldn't say it was dirty, but felt somewhat drab.

I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. This was one of my strangest dining experiences.

Diner Review №186

Diner Review №187

Poor customer service, part of the service are including tips. And let you guys know this, tips is only on the person if the food is good and the customer is good. The pad Thai are too sweet not recommended for people who don't like sweet food like me. Bangkok soup is okay but the noddle is not pho noddle if you know what I mean, the noddle is pad Thai noddle!!😤😤😤😡😡 oh, plus we wait for very long like 30min until our food has serve.

Diner Review №188

A little more expensive but worth every penny. Able to customize the spiciness of your dish. Stsff was a little on the snobby side. The service was quick. The food was absolutely scrumptiously DELICIOUS! Worth every penny. Try the eggrolls... AMAZING!

Diner Review №189

The staff are friendly. The store is quite clean. Lots of seats of the restaurant.
Meanwhile they don’t have pho anymore. All the pho in St Cloud are too sweet. The authentic pho won’t have calories that much from the sugar in the soup.
The Tum Yum Soup is just fine, best thing is they have tofu.
No bad thing for the restaurant and all they people are kind. I have to give full stars. The food is not awe full but also not attractive.

Diner Review №190

Diner Review №191

Very good service

Diner Review №192

Terrible waiter and mediocre food. The waiter was incredibly unprofessional and annoying. The food was way below what I'd expect from a Sawatdee. The one in Minneapolis is way better than this. The presentation was nonexistent. The brocolli was just cut in half, onion strips over two inches long, cabbage pieces about 1.5' on each side. The curry was too soupy. There's no table service station with things like sriracha or chili garlic sauce (which they said would be available for extra charge). The place was dirty. You could see chunks of dust hanging on the ceiling tiles. Will never go back

Diner Review №193

A zestful lark through time and space

Diner Review №194

Diner Review №195

Diner Review №196

The food was very good. They have several vegan options. We had the fried tofu appatizer and mock duck pad thai (without egg). I ordered mine with spice level 3 (the scale is 1-5).

Diner Review №198

Diner Review №199

I have been coming here for two years and have always enjoyed the food here. It is a place I usually bring out of town guests when they come for a visit. I highly recommend the masaman curry, green curry and thai tea.

Diner Review №200

Nice inviting staff. Had the chicken pad Thai and it was soo good.
