Homey restaurant serving classic Thai noodles, curries & stir-fries in a laid-back setting.
In my search for vegan options in the Burnsville/Eagan area, I ended up here.
Finally found some fresh tofu spring rolls on a menu 🙏 (I didn’t have to ask for tofu to be added). Unfortunately I was either too hungry or too excited about this appetizer and forgot to take photos.
I ordered yellow curry, hot on the spice level. It was only tofu and potatoes in the curry, which, in my opinion is all you need. I think I could have gone up a spice level to Thai hot. The coconut milk in the curry added a nice balancing sweetness. Generous portions and good service. I look forward to going back.
Had been wanting to try this place for a while and was glad tonight offered me the chance. Staff was attentive and friendly. Ordered Thai wings, Pad Thai with pork, and Spice Thai Sweet Chili Sauce with Chicken. I ordered heat level *** on the two entrees. The Pad Thai had the spicier kick of the two. Guessing that’s probably due to how the dishes are prepared. I’ll definitely be ordering the Thai Sweet Chili Sauce again as the breading on the chicken was light and tasty. Wasn’t a huge fan of the wings but only because they didn’t fall off the bone. There’s definitely enough meat on them. Portions were more than generous.
Pad Thai. Very filling, not super tasty, chicken and beef tough as rocks. Friend rice, some of the best I have had. I think this is a great place but not for me and I buy pad Thai often. Everyone was very happy. Rated 4 for service because I had to go back to get forgotten food to go.
Stopped in here due to work and needing something quick to eat. The service was quick and the food was descent the fried rice was sweet for my taste but the pho made up for it. They definitely have a good standard of heat. Would recommend this place to check out only have it 3 stars due to the visual presentation of the building very run down and grimy in the inside.
i loveeeee this place for both dine in and take out!!! the service is so crazy quick. the curries here are super good, as well as the egg rolls, spring rolls and cream cheese puffs (which you get SIX of in one order!!!). super generous portions. my one comment- if you get the pad thai, order it a level spicier than u expect. its a little flavorless without a bit of spice.
Stopped by for the first time in several years. Ordered the tofu paid Thai challenging hot, and it was delicious! Spice level was perfect and the tofu/noodles were flavorful! Portions are generous. Lots of vegetarian options also.
Only call out is there is a $1.50 convenience fee for ordering take out items online.
Will definitely recommend to all and we look forward to returning in the near future!
Had a wonderful experience at this location! Kate was very accommodating and was quite impressed with those spice levels🔥 especially level 6👀
I order takeout from here often. Love the food and the service.
This place has the best Thai curry and spring rolls in the Twin Cities. I’ve tried at least six different Thai restaurants in the cities and none of the others come close for curry or spring rolls. The pad Thai is a little bit on the dry side but still pretty good. The service is solid. Atmosphere definitely is a bit hole in the wall, but with Asian food places that’s how you know it’s good.
Food is solid, when ordering online make sure you ordered the correct protein and the broswer doesn't reset. ALL entries online default to tofu as the protein 🤢. Will return.
Food is excellent and service is excellent
We did not care for their Pad Thai. It tasted like ketchup. The egg rolls were just okay.
Food is fantastic, service is good. The decor is dated but they make up for it in a quality product and good prices.

My preference is for lunch but at the same time you can order off the dinner menu if desired. Food is great and the spice is individually prepared. This was the first place we visited after returning from Bangkok.
Food and service was good. We ordered with “Thai hot” spice level but felt we could have ordered medium or hot. Coconut custard dessert was good. They have special lunch menu too.
Wrong food for delivery.
Try the yellow curry or red curry.
I love there food that is all can’t say much more about it they just have amazing food ……I always eat here and enjoy it
The yellow curry here is very good. And the food comes out very very quickly.
Pho was tasteless, no flavor with old thick slices of meat. Some noodles were discolored and the sprouts and greens were very old.
Green curry was ok, but rice looked old and discolored.
I couldn’t finish even 1/4 of the pho.
Worst pai thai I've ever had. Dry and seemed like it was made the day before and microwaved. Plus they got the meat wrong.
In my search for vegan options in the Burnsville/Eagan area, I ended up here.

It's been a few years since I've been there so things might have changed but I remember the food was good service was quick and staff was great.
Excellent food, prompt service! Will definitely return for lunch again!
Stumbled in at 2:32pm and they still gave me a lunch specials menu! Great deal! Veg and tofu, rice, and two cream cheese wontons for under $10 when you pay with cash. Quiet atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, cute decor. Absolutely wonderful place for a quick lunch when you're out that way.
Best chicken Pad Thai around. The curries are great too.
Pad Thai. Very filling, not super tasty, chicken and beef tough as rocks. Friend rice, some of the best I have had. I think this is a great place but not for me and I buy pad Thai often. Everyone was very happy. Rated 4 for service because I had to go back to get forgotten food to go.
This is just a cute little restaurant with great food. We don't go to Burnsville/Savage often, but this is the second time eating there. They have a lot of vegetarian options, so it's great for me.
I had Pad Vegetable with Tofu and my husband had basil chicken pad Thaï. I normally prefer a curry at Thai restaurants, but I decided to try something else. They were both delicious.
I only wish it weren't right next to the hookah shop.
Their Curry is the best in the metro!
The staff is nice and ordering online or by phone is super easy. Food is ready quick and it’s absolutely delicious. This is some of the best Thai in the burbs.
I feel like the food and service here varies greatly between visits depending who's working. Medium heat can sometimes be none existant or melt your mouth off which is disappointing since there aren't many good Thai places in town.
Great Thai food, decent prices
Right out of the gate, our server was eager to answer questions about the menu and had a really good attitude. I liked the style of decorations in the dining area.
The Pad Young Ginger is superb and the cooks are not shy with the amount of ginger, mushrooms, and tofu they put on it! For the price (about $13 not including tax), it surprised me. I have paid more money for less food before. Concerning the pineapple fried rice: unlike my expectation, it didn't have a strong pineapple flavor (just my opinion though). The cream cheese wontons weren't the best I've ever had, but delicious nonetheless. Though the sauce that came on the side was a clear liquid that didn't have a lot of flavor. I was expecting a cup of the red sweet-and-sour sauce, which didn't happens so you might have to ask specifically for that.
The menu is basically a choose-your-own-adventure since you can change the meat and spice level each time you order a dish.
In conclusion, I would eat here again!
Service has been spotty in the past but is generally good. The pad Thai isn't very good (don't recommend, my suggestion is to add peanut sauce and lime), but the spring rolls and yellow curry are definitely worth getting.
Horrible. Had takeout and the pad Thai was inedible. Completely dry.
Pad Thai seemed like it was made with sauce from a jar. Pineapple Fried Rice was fried rice I could have made at home with frozen veggies and only had 3 pieces of pineapple in the entire dish.
I don't even go, here I go to the tshop next door
Best Curry ever. Definitely recommend, we got take out and it was a great amount for the price!
Just....No.
I know people got bills to pay, they might be trying hard as hell,or they might actually think it tastes really great..and I'm trying not to be hella rude because the staff was great. But no. Don't go. The food you're buying will actually just turn out to be a disappointing large donation to the restaurant, in exchange for a "meal". And maybe some bubbling guts. 😮💨
Food tastes good but the establishment is SOOO dirty, I won't be coming back.
I ordered a to go order if pork egg rolls. I guess I was expecting to see pork in there. They were good; however, just no meat.
We are looking for some good Vietnamese food and we really enjoyed what we found here at spice Thai. Our server Justin was very attentive and very pleasant.
A fixed set of probably Thai dishes. Choices from mild to death. Hot is mild to me, but I'm from New Mexico. Excellent egg rolls. Lunch menu for two feeds dinner with doggie bag (Styrofoam boxes). Will be back.
This is the BEST curry in Minnesota. I always order the g3 with chicken. Staff is friendly and food is amazing.
The food is so good! Comes out quick. Large portions, fairly priced, and offers cash discount for dine in
The lady yesterday that was serving food was very rude 😭 and unprofessional and no matter what we did to try to be nice to her she kept being rude and did everything 😭 she could to make our lunch 😭 very uncomfortable I really like this place but I have never seen such a disrespectful and evil 🙈 lady before in my life she really hurt 🤕 my feelings and I wish I never meet her
Always great food! Love the crispy egg rolls (no yucky breading)!
Food made me Vomit!! Won't never try AGAIN
Hands down, the best Massamon curry and Panang curry in Minnesota. Have tried every other Thai restaurant in the state but nothing comes close to this. Service is awesome too, smiling faces are rare to see these days. Best ask for Medium and then add some chilly flakes, this gives the best combo of flavor and heat. Please keep on cooking the best curries. 💪
Totally loved it.
Always amazing food.
Enjoyed the lunch portions!
Food was very good and the server was very nice
Yummy
Tried this place for the first time since changing roles in my career and working at an office very nearby, and I must say it was everything I expected plus some! I recommend the Pho. I like that you have options for spice level and then even the option to get spice on the side in cute, little to go cups. The portions are very generous. The associate was very helpful over the phone when ordering and I love her personality in person when picking up. I will be eating here again and often! Thank you.
Great food and great service!!!
Aweful food! Very dirty atmosphere
Have eatenuch here more than 100 times in the last few years. Always delicious and special.
Ordered chicken pad Thai spice level three for carry out. Order was ready and on time. Pad Thai was very dry and bland. There was barely any chicken in the dish. It’s a big serving but unfortunately it’s just a big serving of dry noodles mostly. Spice wise it feels like a 1/5. Also got fried egg rolls which were also bland.
5 stars for 5 star hot. Can always count on this place to make me sweat (don’t ask for it if you can’t handle it lol). Also they have the best vegan options around!!
Disgusting. Gross. I'm astonished at the good reviews because the entry and interior were so filthy. How can anyone feel comfortable eating in such filth? I can't believe the health department allows such poor standards. The handle coming in was disgusting. The door was disgusting. The carpet was disgusting and the windows and walls were as well. The backs of all the chairs had grime so thick, my stomach turned. I ordered take-out and the food wasn't edible. The chicken tasted tainted and spoiled. The pork egg roll had nothing but noodles. On top of all of this, I was charged a "convenience fee" in addition to the tip I left when ordering. I cannot imagine folks eating inside this restaurant and saying it doesn't disappoint. Whaaat???!!! $25 later and the whole lot of food went right down the disposal.
Love the yellow curry, love the basil fried rice, love the crispy spring rolls. The blended bubble tea is usually awesome.
Wonderful service and love their cream cheese wontons!!!
This place is always spot on with every meal. The Tom Yum soup is amazing, get shrimp added and you will thank me later. They have the best pad basil I've tasted thus far. I always do carry out so I can't speak for the dine in experience. The staff are always super friendly and courteous. I highly recommend anyone to stop in. The food is fresh and flavorful
The staff was phenomenal. The food was meh at best. Everything was very bland in terms of flavor and definitely did not taste authentic. The menu is very limited in terms of Thai items. The Sushi Rolls were pretty good.
We ordered Phat Thai Chicken / Egg Wrapped Pad Thai Vegetarian / Thai Style Fried Rice with Chicken / Thai Style Fried Rice Vegetarian / Tom Kha Gai Chicken / Tom Kha Gai Vegetarian / Tom Yum w/ Chicken / Mango Sticky Rice / Mini-Spring Rolls / Spicy Tuna Roll / Mini Advocado Roll / Philly Roll / Thai Iced Tea.
Would not return.
This is a real gem and rare find. We love going here for lunches and takeouts. The food is freshly prepared and to our liking. Real Thai taste... Great staff who are courteous and welcoming. My wife is vegetarian and she loves those options as well. Portion size is good too for the price. we recommended this place to our friends in the circle and they loved it too!!
Really good food!
Wasn’t a huge fan of the wings but only because they didn’t fall off the bone. There’s definitely enough meat on them. Portions were more than generous.
The Gaeng Kung Supparos is my favorite new curry! Good food all around, kids loved the wontons.
Every time my little family and I come there, it's always good customer service and fast service. Food is on point! Especially love their vermicelli and their pad thai.
Go help support!
the thai soup is always good.
It's my first visit to this place and it wouldn't be my last. Ordered Thai basil fried rice and Panang curry. Loved the food and service was great as well.
Very good family owned restaurant.
The server must be family members, very polite, listened to, and accommodate our requests.
Excellent food..
We ordered catering from Spuce Thai for a wedding shower, and all the food was wonderful! The food was ready for pick up when they said it would be. The guests loved the chicken green curry, the chicken pad thai and the chicken skewers and tofu pad thai. This is the second event that we have used Spice Thai for and we will use them again! Thank you Spice Thai!
Amazing fried rice. Have come back multiple times just to get my fix. Always a ton of takeout orders leaving when we dine in. I warn caution if you can't handle your spice (order 0-1)
Food is pretty good for most part, the people there are nice. What our group really like is the affordable lunch menu.
Our server was Elizabeth and the service was amazing! Food came quickly, was light but filling, had bright flavors and I can't say enough how satisfying it was. The menu was extensive and we cannot wait to try more! Husband and I are both VERY impressed!
The last few times I've visited, the L5 - tamarin chicken has not been great. It has been very chewy like it has been over cooked. The fried rice was also dried out. We came in around 11:30, so things should have been more fresh.
Fresh ingredients, everything very tasty
I goofed up placing my order today and they were able to fix it without delay. I eat here like once a month and every time it is off the hook. Thank you SPICE!!!
Awesome food, great service, nice quiet atmosphere
Nice little place. Good food and nice people. Perfect spot to stop on the way home from work after a long day
Good curry noodles 🍜
Too expensive. $50 for an order of pho and fried rice for carry out.
Love this place, I go weekly
Love their Thai fried rice and Wonton soup!!!
Spice used to serve my favorite chicken pad Thai in the area but the last two times it's been awful. Tonight it was too dry, too bland, overcooked and not at the spice level I requested. It was like it was made several hours ago and heated up in the microwave prior to serving. We've gone to Spice many, many times in the past but at this point I'm not sure we'll be going back.
Worse pad Thai ever. Ordered medium spicy pad Thai with pork and It looks and tastes like rice noodles was boiled and sprinkled with lots of ground red peppers and served. You can taste red peppers in every bites. Can’t remember if there was any pork since it only had few pieces on it.
Food was a disgrace.
Favorite Thai food in the area. The pad thai is amazing. Gang dang is my other go to if I don't get the pad thai
Fantastic food and service!
Hands down best pineapple 🍍 fried rice 🍚 😋 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorite restaurants! Always amazing food and service!
I came here for my birthday dinner as I was badly missing delicious yellow curry. There isn't any good Thai where I live in Illinois. A cousin recommended this place and I'm so glad she did. The yellow curry was perfect! Balanced very well with the sweet and spice (I got a spicy level 1). The pad thai was a winner as well and my husband was very happy with his panang curry. We will definitely be back next time we're visiting the Twin Cities. Our waiter was also very attentive and friendly.
I travel though out Minneapolis an I try new places I see. First let me say I love Thai food. Today I got Tom Yum soup with chicken and mushrooms some cilantro and spinach. I had it spicy (3out of 5) amazingly fresh I would call perfect. Not to forget the sticky rice on the side.
Elizabeth my server recommended it and wow!
I also ordered some PAD SEE EWE Their version was very good added spinach Napa Cabbagei recommend this with extra spicy sauce (again I got it 3 out of 5) I love this place! Thank you do a great job!
I love Thai food, and was very excited to get some after a 2+ year dry spell due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The restaurant didn't appear to be very clean, the service was off (1 entree came out before the appetizers and the rest of the food), and the food was ok (e.g. chicken satay had clearly been cooked earlier and was put in a fryer - stick and all - to reheat it). The waiter was young and eager, but basically said unapologetically "I can't control the kitchen."
Not the same Spice Thai, I remember. The staff was nice but we were very disappointed with the cheap and soggy noodles used as well as the spice - it just wasn't there. 2 pad thais and wontons - $41.
The only thing that tasted good were the wontons.
Very bummed. Won't go back unless the owners return. Follow me on Instagram if you're looking for great places to go @ northernfoodiewithabooty
Big disappointment with not having sticky rice anywhere on menu.
My red curry dish had great flavor, husbands order was less desirable.
What has happened to one of our very favorite restaurants? While the ordering and pickup has vastly improved, the food and its packaging has deteriorated. One of our entree orders was put in a takeout box. When I started to remove the plastic covering, all of the sauce poured out of the container and onto the counter and floor below. We frantically attempted to transfer the content into a bowl, but by then the dish was totally dry. While the other entree was placed in one of the takeout boxes, the sauce in that dish had also poured out into the plastic bag. We were able to place all of the contents into a bowl before losing ALL of the sauce. I suggest they invest in better LEAK PROOF takeout containers. The Satay appetizer was cold, the peanut sauce was runny and way too sweet, and the Chinese pork fried rice (which was formerly DELICIOUS) was barely edible. I suggest they return to the former recipe for Chinese pork fried rice. I am tempted to return the entire order and demand our money be refunded. As it is I will be asking for more sauce to replace that which I had to clean up from my kitchen floor. needless to say, I won't be giving them any more business.
Pho is really good and very generous on noodles and meat. Great customer service
Fresh coconut water was the highlight. Bubble tea with multiple flavors are also available. Thai fried rice we ordered was slightly burned. Walleye fish with coconut curry was tasty.
Service...nice but so-ooo slow. Only 3 tables in the restaurant and 2 servers...but hard to get their attention.
Iced Thai Tea, boba smoothie & wonton-potstickers were delicious. We should've stopped there.
The meat in the glass noodle bowl was tough & inedible.
The pineapple & chicken fried rice was lacking ANY pieces of pineapple or any pineapple flavor. I asked the server for sauteed/heated pineapple so I could add to my dish. She then brought me ice cold pineapple. So then I had to wait again...for warm pineapple. I boxed it up & we left.
$50 (before tip) for a disappointing meal.
Guess this is what a post-pandemic world looks like...so sad. I no longer miss eating out...back to home cooking I go.
1st & last visit.
The quality of this place has plummeted. What once was my every couple week go to, has become not again. Chicken Pad Thai had 4 pieces of chicken (yes, I counted) and was dry.
Worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Wait staff acted like that's how it always looks and tastes. Was very orange and just tasted not right. Didn't even offer to take it off the bill. The Pad Thai sat at the end of the table as it was not even edible....
The red curry was very tasty though.
Wow is all I can say...
Red curry is amazing! One of the best restaurants out here in the ‘burbs. Support small vs chain ppl 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Very good shrimp Thai basil
Best red chicken curry I’ve had in the metro area. Fresh spring rolls and chicken wings are great too. Always friendly and fast service.
One thing I don’t like is that the Pad Thai is not consistent. Sometimes good. Sometimes below average.
Amazing chicken dumplings and pad Thai
Good food, pretty sure they gave all the wrong spice levels. Nothing to rave about, though absolutely not a bad place to go. Just know you aren going there for the consistency, you're going for the solid Thai Cuisine.
Why answer the phone at 7:45.
You're open till 8. Pretty stupid I hope the owners figure it out. Kitchen shouldn't close before 8.
I am a firm believer that we all deserve a second chance. So I gave Spice Thai a second chance after a few years. I must say once again NO, NO. Please do not waste your hard earned money at this restaurant. The food was tasteless, greasy and the restaurant needs a good deep cleaning. NO, I do not recommend this restaurant.
The worst "pad thai" I've ever had. Pad thai Is a staple in thai cuisine. I don't know how you can butcher it so bad. Flavor was so off I felt like I was eating another dish, a very bad one. Beef was also very dry.
Incredible food, clear menu with pictures for newbies to Thai cuisine and how to order, fast and friendly service. All in all, a great restaurant that I will be returning to.
We used to frequent this restaurant weekly, but the quality of the food has suffered. We gave it three or four additional attempts after we noticed a change in the food, but I can’t afford to buy anymore curries I end up having to throw away. I think part of it was denial that my favorite Thai place isn’t what it once was.
Fresh, flavorful, clean. Must try for Thai in the twin cities. Favs are som tum, red curry, spring rolls, and when they have it, mango sticky rice.
Can't miss!! Wonderful thai food.
delicious 100%
Good food, friendly staff.
We frequent this place for lunch, a lot of food for a very reasonable price. Their curry is awesome and I highly recommend it.
2nd time ordering for delivery, again it took twice as long as it said it would. Almost 2 hours. Food is all very watery and delivered in paper takeout containers put in plastic bags. Each container is sitting in half a cup of liquid in the bag, what a mess!! Almost impossible to eat. By the time we got it it was cold and the papaya salad was warm because it was in a bag next to the food that was originally hot. $50 worth of cold messy slop. Please start using plastic containers!!
Great service and food
Absolutely delicious and great service!
Some like it hot. Good food.
I ordered the Chinese Style Fried Rice with Chicken at the Thai Spicy heat level for takeout. The single employee I interacted with was quick to help and friendly. The spice level was perfect and the chicken in it was really tender and good. There wasn't a lot of meat, but there usually isn't so that's to be expected. The carrots were undercooked though and it had a slightly odd sweetness I couldn't quite place that held it back from a full 5 stars. Good enough that I'll go back, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order here if you're looking for a good fried rice.
Have had green curry and cream cheese wontons here and both were delicious! Always friendly staff and quick service. Will continue to go back, especially for the green curry!
This food was so gross! What's with the high reviews? I waited 15 min for Pad Thai. I got home opened it up and had overload of nasty noodles. I dug for the chicken which was nonexistent (about 5 tiny pieces) cut one open and it was like rubber.then I had to inconveniently drive back and wait for a refund. I felt so ripped off of course I wasn't going to pay 15$ for the worst pad Thai ever! I'll never go back they didnt even apologize to me or even look at the food that I brought back. I said look at it and where's the chicken and why'd I wait so long for this garbage food? So unbelievably frustrating. The food was so gross I drove to McDonald's across the street and I hate McDonald's and the first bite of that was like heaven. I told the girl I would be writing a bad review. Also what's with the family having their baby there so late at night like so awkward walking in there. Poor customer service and disgusting pad Thai the worst I've ever ordered
This place is the best, period. Spicy pork wonton are amazing, sticky rice side dish with peanut dipping sauce from satay is beautiful...
Good food, nice people, willing to please their customers.
Tom yum soup too spicy to eat. Dirty interior and flies distracts from having a very positive experience. Will not return.
Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff.
Got the pad thai and spring roll. My 4 year old and I both loved it. Will go back to try more things!
I hate to leave negative posts, but I truthfully didn't care for Spice Thai. I've had Thai a thousand times. I've traveled Thailand. I wasn't expecting that... But honestly the Pad Thai was just not good. I got the lunch special and as you can see from the menu, you can pick a few varieties of dishes, then your protein, then your spice level and sides. If I'm brutally honest, the chicken just had no flavor. It felt like it was cooked separately and just thrown in to make a fast combo. I don't know that that's how it's made but point is....the chicken was just really bland. The spice level was off too. I asked for medium; mine had none....zero. You couldn't have made it less spicy.
That said -- the fresh spring rolls were nice. Very large. You don't need to order an extra if you are doing the lunch combo. One is enough.
The service was really attentive and good. Very sweet gal seated me and checked in an appropriate number of times to make sure I was doing ok.
I'll maybe consider trying them for dinner sometime but if that's not a slam dunk, this place is finished for me. 😢
Horrible. Shrimp way over cooked, not edible. I ordered shrimp pad thai and added 5 extra shrimp, there were only 4 small dry shrimp that came as part of the order. Haven't went there in over a year, will not go back.
