Chic cafe with exposed-brick walls & contemporary decor offering inventive Thai cuisine & cocktails.
We’ve been here many times and we always enjoyed the food. They have many vegetarian dishes and the desserts are delicious. The restaurant is also in a great location but a little difficult to find a parking spot though. The team is also nice and friendly. Have plenty of dishes to try … just keep in mind some soups are big enough for sharing. You may want to try the sticky rice Mango!
It was our last night in Rochester and this was the restaurant that my friend recommended to try and I'm so glad he did! Their food was superb 👌🏻!
We ordered thai tea (it was a little bit on the sweet side in my opinion). My friend ordered the **Massaman Curry**, it was good. The sauce was creamy, has a little bit of spice and the beef was tender!
I ordered **Chicken Satay**, I've been craving one for a while and this sure satisfied it! Their peanut sauce is really good, has a hint of spice and the cucumber onion salad that came with it was yummy!
I also ordered **Thai Beef Jerky** it reminded me of Filipino Tapa a little nit. It was great, it came with sticky rice I wish it was just regular rice, but it was still good and I ate all of it. It has Sriracha dipping sauce.
We ordered **mango 🥭 sticky rice** for dessert and it was yum!! The kids enjoyed it as well! Loved the presentation it was so pretty and the mango was really sweet!
Top of my places to visit again for sure! If I'm in town again this will surely be on my list! 💯
Our server was really nice! He checked and made sure we got everything and that we're satisfied with our meal. 👏
Stopped with a group of 8 for lunch @ 11:30 on a Wednesday. There was only one other occupied table. They do have carry out, it would be a great option if you’re in a hurry or on a lunch break. The food we got was exactly as requested to be prepared and delicious. I was very impressed with each dish and will for sure be returning. I felt like the menu had something for everyone. Even the one person who was vegan enjoyed her dish.
Our food was prepared quickly. Most of us just had water to drink. I appreciated the server leaving a water container for us to refill as needed. Server was quick to refill water container when empty as well.
We enjoyed our meal, received our individual bills quickly so we could get back to work. I was worried we could do on a lunch break- they are very quick.
I only wish I had time to try more of the food. All seasoned well.
Kinda fancy place. We waited quite long for our table but it was worth it. Everything is delicious! Their drinks are impressive and tastes so good. I have tried their Lychee Martini, Mango Mojito, of course, Spiked Thai Tea. I highly recommend this place. Haven't able to take photos of the rest of our orders. But here's a few.
Mago Thai was found when another Thai place we were trying to eat at was closed for the holiday. My son and daughter love Thai and wanted me to experience the cuisine as I have never eaten Thai. Restaurant was very clean an modern looking we were seated in the very first table which seemed to have more comfy fabric seats than the other tables. There is also an L shaped couch with table for larger groups as well as outdoor seating if you prefer. It was at least 90 the day we stopped in and were thankful for the air-conditioning. Drinks menu had sodas and tea along with several Asian beers. They did also have wine. Our server was kind and gave us extra time when we told him we had never been there. For appetizers we had the spring rolls and beef jerky. Both were very tasty they jerky was served with a spicy sauce for dipping and sticky rice.
My kids ordered a broad noodle 3 chili heat dish that was very flavorful (one chose tofu and the other did chicken options). I really preferred their dish over mine. I had tempura shrimp over tangy noodles. There was nothing wrong with my dish. The shrimp was great but I found the sauce on the noodles just not to my liking. I did prefer the taste of their dishes. Overall a good experience for our first time at this resteraunt and my first introduction to Thai.
This will be a short review. I really like Mango Thai and had the desire to have dinner there tonight. All three of us were hungry and we split a starter: pot stickers which were very nice and the peanut sauce was wonderful. My wife ordered a shrimp dish that was good.My son and I each ordered green curry salmon. This was also very good: tasty curry sauce, a nice spice level, vegetables, and rice. But there was one problem; my salmon was not cooked, in fact portions were raw and cold. Oh well, they cooked some of it and it was fine. The rest came home with us to be cooked as left overs. This, unfortunately, made for a less than stellar of a night out.
Memorably appalling service from the front of house. Loudly plonking down drinks, glued to their phones throughout our stay so we always had to physically go to them, and had an overall lack of interest in answering questions about the menu.
Decent food but it does not make up for the lack of service
Every order I’ve placed for pickup (I’ve never dined in) has taken double the estimated time so I’m left waiting when I arrive for the pickup order. It’s as if they make the food when I arrive to get it. Please do better at managing your time.
This is probably one of my favorite places to order food. The price is great. The quality is fantastic! I order togo more than I eat in and the quality is the same as if i was eating in the restaurant.
Delicious Thai food - best meal I’ve had in America
Enjoyable restaurant. Mango spring rolls were surprising and tasty. Garlic Duck was good, duck needed to be rendered better-a but fatty but the dish was good overall. Fried bananas were great with food vanilla ice cream.

The best thai food in rochester. Hands down. I can confidently say that some of the menus are the best in Minnesota.
If you don't go here, I feel very bad for you. Maybe the best Thai I've had ever!

Ask for the Thai tea if u like to drink syrup!
Otherwise the food was good.
Mango Thai is one of the best dining experiences in the entire Rochester.
From the minute you enter this incredible space you will be treated to some of the best restaurant staff around. Mango Thai is an enormous space filled with natural light and plants that create an incredible ambience.
As it was my first time at the restaurant our waitress did an incredible job providing all sorts of helpful information about the menu.
I will return for dinner entrees I was only able to try some appetizers and a cocktail yesterday however, I was absolutely blown away.
This is an absolutely gorgeous patio, other than the occasional bee attracted by the beautiful flowers this was a perfect experience.
Had a lovely time at Mango Thai and I will definitely be returning.
I have always enjoyed coming here. I have loved my food, and the presentation. That being said, on too many occasions, the service, attitude and lack of attentiveness on the part of two male wait staff was off-putting enough, that I will not be returning. Service is a major part of the whole (not inexpensive) experience.

Best Thai curry in town. Also good Tom Yum soup.
Really amazing and delicious food!! So authentic! I would go here for food anytime!
Excellent food! We had chicken anyang curry, and the shrimp and scallops with snow peas. Atmosphere was very nice, service was great. Very clean. The food was delicious. We will definitely return when we are here again.

Easily among the top restaurants in Rochester
wonderful atmosphere! food was great
perfect everything, i enjoyed my experience, best thai restaurant
Sad to see the menu limited compared to what we experienced in the past and whats posted on line. We really enjoyed the Tom Yum seafood soup and the red curry sea bass. However, our server was clueless and the other server and table setter were no help to him. We saw another couple leave complaining that they sat and waited 1/2 hour and never got served. They were only 1/2 full at 7 pm on a Friday. When we didn't get our 2nd glass of wine after waiting at least 20 minutes, the server said the problem was that he didn't have any clean wine glasses. While the table setter was wiping and restocking water glasses. I would love to go back for the food but they won't survive with the service we saw and experienced.
Some of the best food in Rochester!
Ordered a Curry and the rice was over cooked, peppers are under cooked, got 4 small pieces of chicken in my meal that was $20. The service was good! The actual Atmosphere felt like I was sitting in a run of the mill bar. Nothing in the whole place said that they served Thai Food..
We were staying at Hotel Indigo, and this was only a 3 minute walk from our hotel. I ordered carry out because my husband just had surgery today. The staff was very friendly, and my order was ready even quicker than I expected! We ordered cashew chicken, and it was very fresh and absolutely delicious! We will definitely plan to eat here again when we are in the area!
Absolutely appalled with my experience here. As an avid walleye fisherman, I was looking forward to eating walleye. I have no idea what type of fish they served me, but it was NOT walleye. The young server had no personality and was not helpful. It wasn’t that he wasn’t trying, it was just not a good fit. Honestly, I’m surprised people have rated this place so high. I will not be coming back.
Fabulous food, great atmosphere and service! Best Thai food this side of Bangkok where I spent 16 months 50 years ago in the Army.
The best thai restaurant in Minnesota
Good Thai food in a calm quiet atmosphere. Good servers and very clean.
Stopped in for a quick dinner without a reservation, and we were lucky. Food was amazing!
Good was absolutely delicious!

This is my favorite Thai place in Rochester. It is so fresh and I leave happy every single time. Cute vibe and awesome food!
Food was a little disappointing... was hoping for a somewhat authentic taste, but many if the dishes didn't quite get it there. We were extremely saddened by the chicken laab, as it was super watery and the chicken didn't taste right.
So good!
Always love going here! Food is flavorful and the staff is friendly.
So so so so so good! Best Thai in Roch! Be sure to get the spring rolls!
Nice and spicy!
Everything was delicious. We ordered the Thai beef jerky, papaya shrimp salad, nam tok, tom kha, and green curry walleye. We'll definitely be back.
That pad thai & green curry we're off the freaking charts delicious- so good.
The best food in Rochester! Its our go-to when visiting Mayo.
Ok food, terrible management and servers. No respect for food health violations either. Every visit I’ve had here for the last year has been a bad one. I hope for better.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Very nice vibe to the place.
A good dining place for… mice? Was eating food and saw a mouse roaming around. It had a cute face but it’s bad for our health. Food was average. Waiter gave 25% off our order and was calm about the situation.
Really good food but even takeout takes a LONG time to be cooked and ready (45 min for 3 entrees and 1 app?!), which is absurd when there are only 2 people actually dining in (at 8:30pm on a Wednesday). Most of our meal waited on a cold metal counter for 10 min while I waited for the rest of it to be done.
The music is also super loud (tough to hear other people or servers talking) and it's really dim inside too so folks who have a harder time seeing will have troubles. Love the food but the wait time is a bit silly.
Food was very delicious 😋 all are fresh and 😋

Nice place, great food, good service, reasonably priced. Pad Thai was a little more on the sweet side than I prefer, but still good. Would definitely come again.
Staff came up to me asking if I need anything. I told them I was waiting to be seated. The staff member goes “oh… we have a bar” so then I sit down at the bar.. assuming you’re supposed to seat yourself. Was completely disregarded and ignored after that, wasnt given a menu. Got up and left. Ridiculous
Amazing food and atmosphere
I had the pepper steak and it was delicious. The server was helpful and very nice. Highly recommend.
Good food, service is okay, pleasing and chic atmosphere.
Very very good!! Food was superb, wait staff delightful, music perfect, atmosphere wonderful! Well worth it!!!
I definitely prefer Mango Thai to the other Thai places in the city - the atmosphere is cozy and warm without being too loud. It was perfect for a celebratory fine-dine with a friend, on a student's budget! As an Asian food spot, they could definitely work on having more vegetarian options, though. Particularly enjoyed trying their drinks and desserts (mango with sticky rice was a total 10/10)!
Amazing food, amazing service, and the perfect ambiance. Honestly. My favorite Thai place I have ever been to. And the family that owns and runs the restaurant are so nice.
Loved this place. The Pad Thai is wonderful. Unfortunately, I live seven hours away and may never visit Rochester again.
Second time in. Food was great. Servers just don't come back.
Food was good. Service was seriously lacking. Five servers standing behind the bar and I turned around and stared at them for a good couple of minutes before anyone acknowledged. I didn't feel like I should have to get up and get someone for service.
Awesome 👍 Fresh warm food.Delicios egg rolls.
My wifes favourite place in rochester. Food is good. We did order takeout once and my wife had something with shrimp and mentioned it only had two shrimp. The food is good.
A very stylish and beautiful restaurant. Service is quality and fast. The waiters are kind and caring. The food was quite delicious. I tried the dish with peanut, but it wasn't for me. Cocktails are good. If you like Thai food, this is the place for you. Let give it a chance and try here.
Absolutely wonderful in spite of the parking challenges
Maybe the best family owned restaurant in Rochester. Love the curry and soup options. Couldn’t recommend more.
Such a zenful vibe. Not overly crowded. I recommend the lychee martini. 10/10
First time at this restaurant for my husband and I. Waiter was fabulous. He tended to us quite frequently and so helpful with the menu. Food and presentation was also fabulous. Would definitely eat here again!
Ordered the green curry, cashew chicken and the pad Thai to go. Everything was yummy but for the Pad Thai.
Great service and Thai food
I would give this place more stars if I could, the atmosphere and food is absolutely incredible. It’s a perfect place for a date night, or just a casual dining experience that will please your taste buds with every wonderful option they have. Possibly the best curry I have ever had, the beef appetizer is marinated perfectly and delicious! Parking in back from 3rd street to the alley.
Love the food here. Always top tier service.
Great waiter, very good food
We had a lovely birthday dinner tonight at Mango Thai. The restaurant was super busy, but our waitress Janae was very attentive and hardworking, as was the other young woman working with her, who unfortunately was dealing with an incredibly rude customer. I appreciate how this restaurant has many delicious options with tofu that can easily be made vegan (just subtract the egg and fish sauce).
Get the Singapore noodles with tofu! So good!
Really good food. Really nice people working there. 😊😊😊
We've been here several times in the last few years. The place is always clean, the service good, and the food fresh and delicious. There is a small bar area. We were there on a Thursday evening and did not have to wait for a table at 6:00 p.m. We noticed several people come in for to-go orders.
Absolutely worst service out there this place must make fake reviews, as it cannot have a 4.2 star rating, be warned you will have a frustrating evening ruining the taste of your meal before you even get your water glass.
Pleasant atmosphere and delicious food. Will definitely come back for more.
Great place to eat in downtown. It wasn’t too busy, the service was fast, and the food was delicious. I wish there were a few more vegetarian options though.
Delicious Thai food! I brought my hubby here because some girl friends and I loved it. They have scrumptious sushi rolls and I had a spicy type curry with pineapple in it and other tropical ingredients. The dessert with fresh strawberries was Amazing and so refreshing on the palate! Thank you for the nice, clean environment too! Highly recommend this tasty place! We will be back :D
Fantastic food and our waitress was a blast! My only criticism is that I wish it was a bit bigger floorplan to accommodate a handful more of patrons.
I haven’t had Thai before and decided to try the cashew chicken. It was SO GOOD!! Everyone at our table loved what they got! I also loved the atmosphere & music! Our group of 8 had a great time!
VERY Unprofessional! The Labor Department must be informed that the Employer is NOT paying employees for their time. My friend was overly sick and they are withholding her paycheck. Poor management , sick people. And my name is HALEY . thanks
Delicious food and friendly service!
Best curry In town!
I really enjoyed my visit to Mango Thai. I ordered shrimp and chicken Pad Thai. The presentation was amazingly beautiful. The noodles were flavorful and everything was prepared perfectly. Their Jasmine Tea was served in a large tall mug which was comfortable to hold and stayed warm for the entire meal. I highly recommend Mango Thai. Great atmosphere, great food, and really wonderful service!
Was really good this. Had the Tom Yum soup and Basil curry chicken
Best duck curry in MN.
Party of 4, all the dishes were very good. Perfect flavors, had curry, and pad Thai. The service was also spot on, would definitely recommend and eat there again!!!
The panang curry was delicious, just bear in mind that if you’re not used to spice, it might be very hot even when they can make it mild. The Seanad with red curry was really good as well but it was the same curry as the panang curry, I wish the waitress would have said that since we were sharing food. The ambience was a little boring but it was a Monday evening in Rochester. The decor is kind of old but pretty and the place is a little dark. The server was friendly and the food came out fast.
Best Thai in Rochester
This was our first time at Mango Thai. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive,
the food was incredible. We really like Thai food and so happy to have this restaurant here in Rochester.
Delicious food, and friendly service.
Good vibe, friendly attentive staff! The pad tie was a little sweet, but my friend enjoyed it!
They are welcome us like family.
The food are delicious, real Thai food 😋
Terrible, terrible, terrible
The food I could eat was fine but the rice they served me for takeout was inedible. I know it was the end of the day but to serve a solid block of rice is unexcusable. Make a substitution for the rice if you don't have rice that is worth serving.
Update: I know my rice and the difference between different preparations. This was old stale rice.
I've been eating at Mango Thai since 2014, and as a life-long vegetarian, I can say that the owners have always been respectful and more than happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions! I'm picky too, even for a vegetarian!
Both my wife and I traveled all over during our professional careers, and of all the restaurants we've been to...
From the food, to the wonderful owners, Mango Thai is one of, if not THE best!
In fact, I'm eating Mango Thai right now!
Rochester is LUCKY to have them!
If I could give negative stars, I would. This is not a safe place to eat if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the instance where a mistake is made in the food preparation, expect the owner's demeanor to be rude and condescending. Apparently, the owner sees being in business for 20 years means as an okay to make mistakes, even if the mistake means serving a known allergen when asked to omit it..... that sums up what I was told by her.
Very good food. Nice people. Would recommend them.
Hubby and I tried this place last nite for some healthy takeout. Was too hungry to take pics, but wanted to call it out. Will definitely go back!
When ordered online it said one hour, but they immediately called back and said ready in 20 minutes. Yeah!
We had the fresh mango spring rolls which were so amazing, crisp and fresh! Garlic shrimp on perfectly cooked broccoli and pea pods that were still crispy. My carnivore husband said “even the broccoli is fantastic!” Second choice was mild peanut spinach chicken with bean sprouts. Loved the flavor, but spice wimp, so a little spicy for me. Rice was gooey and delish, but I think they were stingy (my only real complaint as my husband dove in and I barely got any). We shared the mango sticky rice which needed more coconut juice and mango was not very ripe.
Keeping it on the list!
Great experience for are family great and nice staff
شوربه التم يم خطيره كذالك النودلز
I travel a lot and order a lot of Thai food from all over. These prices are excessive.
mediocre
Absolutely delicious! Went there for supper and had the BBQ duck, highly recommend! Super friendly waitstaff and great atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back
Great food
Serene atmosphere, high quality food and great service. Highly recommend for overall excellence.
Pretty good! We got a takeout order with the Mango Spring Rolls, the “Beef Jerky”, and Panang Curry with chicken. Our order was ready when we came to pick it up and the staff was attentive. The Spring Rolls were awesome (they have shrimp, mango, and avocado in them & come with two dipping sauces) - the only down side is you only get two in an order and they cost $8. We ordered the curry ‘mild’ and it was still really spicy but had good flavor. Was kind of expecting it to still be pretty spicy being that this is a Thai restaurant. We tried the Beef Jerky because of what other reviewers said... it was pretty dry and served with rice. Not sure if it was supposed to be on the dryer side and that’s why it was labeled “Beef Jerky”? Just wasn’t as expected. The portions here are okay. Would recommend they add descriptions to the items on the online ordering system.
Classic, comforting Thai food in a chic, modern and minimalist atmosphere. Great value for the portions and quality of the food. Service was quick and friendly. Table seating filled up quickly but there were always seats available at the bar. There's a public parking lot just behind the building, look for the entrance on the corner of the block by Terza. The bar boasts an extensive menu as well.
The egg rolls were soggy, the beef fried rice had no beef. It did have lime and some green tomatoes. Total waste of time and money. Never ever again.
Great place. Great drinks - mango mojito. Incredible avocado roll, tuna, mint chicken. Get crab cakes
Everything about this place is 5 stars. The food took me back to my childhood (although it was considerably better than my mom's cooking, it gave me serious nastalgia (my mom is from Asia)). The service was awesome too. We came in 45 before they closed and they were so chill about it. Our server (Victoria) even told us that she didn't want to rush us. 10/10 would recommend.
Nicely poured cocktails. Chill ambiance. Nice balance in flavors, good food. Very nice
Every item I've ever had from here is delicious! The green and panang chicken curries have amazing flavor. Pad Kee Mow with fresh tofu is my new favorite. I also recommend the mango springs rolls, Thai beef jerkey, and chicken laab salad.
Still the best Thai restaurant in Rochester with a wide menu and a willing Chef who caters to your allergies.
The food is AMAZING
The waiters are super nice
Great desserts!
Best Thai /S.E. Asian in Rochester! Highly recommend the Thai “beef jerky” app…it is almost an entire steak’s work of meat and it is delicious. Fantastic curries. A bit pricey, but I have not had a bad meal there yet.
