Terrible inedible food, not authentic Thai. We ordered Drunken Noodles and a green curry. Both were extremely salty and lacking standard ingredients. Drunken Noodles did not come with wide ride noodles (instead used fettuccine) or egg or basil. The green curry had no eggplant and was too salty to eat. Total waste of money. Do not eat here.
Decided to visit on a whim and ordered Tom Yum and bubble tea to share with a friend. And MAN it was delicious. The boba was flavorful, and the tom yum excellent and a really large size, easily lasting one person 2 or more meals.
One warning: this place actually caters to asian spice levels, so unless you have HIGH HIGH HIGH spice tolerance, I'd suggest treating the level 3 as hot, level 2 as medium, and level 1 as mild (which is not the same as no spice). I have a decent spice tolerance and liked the level 3, but 3 was at my white friend's top limit. Keep that in mind when ordering.
I definitely am planning to come again!
Ordered pad Thai and lo mein. Pad thai was fine and flavors good but using spaghetti noodles for lo mein was a disappointment.
We have been here twice and have tried the Fried rice chicken and boba. Both times did not disappoint. They are super friendly and helpful

Been here 3 times this past week visiting my uncle in the hospital. Good boba spot.

Terrible pad thai. Tasted old and strangely bitter. Did not eat.
worst pad tai I've ever had
I love their Chicken Drunken Noodles! I always get it spicy. The Lo Mein and Shrimp Fried Rice are great options too.
This is the only restaurant besides phams that’s still open from when I worked at mama Ds kitchen. I always loved the fried rice especially shrimp the shrimp are big and they give you your money worth! The boba is amazing thick juicy sweet! I just love sabbai Chinese! Please don’t ever shut down!
Worst pad thai I've ever had, it was tasteless
Spend $35 on Shrimp fried rice and cheese wantons. Which is overly pricey. I asked for extra shrimp and never got them. I had a total of 5 shrimp in my bowl which was the normal serving I had the last time I visit. This place is to pricey for the food they serve. DONT GO HERE
Drunken noodles tasted old and had weird bitter flavor. Food came out way too quick to be made fresh. Seemed like it was made and had been sitting there. Chicken was not fresh. I've had several drunken noodles though out the cities and I didn't finish this, was the worst
Ordered the pad thai. The person taking and making the order claimed it was the best in Minnesota. I dont know if it's the best but it was pretty darn good (only had one other in MN). Highly recommend.
Waited in line and completely ignored me when I asked I need to order he shrugged his shoulders. Completely rude and unprofessional
BEST BOBA AND FOOD! The workers are always so nice! I love this place! 10/10 recommend! If you can’t handle spice please let them know!
I ordered 2 chicken dishes. 1 was kung pao and the other was orange chicken. As soon as me and my friend put the chicken in our mouths we knew something was off. The chicken tasted like it was going bad and it was chewy and stringy. I can deal with food not being good, but this was liable to make us sick. So I returned the food and asked for a refund, the guy at the counter didn't want to give me a refund but I insisted. He agreed and supposedly I would get the money back, its been over 7 days and I still don't have the money in my account. I called and asked what happened and they acted like they had no dea what I was talking about. Will never eat there again, and you shouldn't either.

I love to eat fresh Thai peppers, so I think I have a high spice tolerance. This place is not afraid to make it spicy when you request it spicy. I ordered super spicy and it was actually super spicy to me. Delicious. :)
Sesame tofu 10/10. Drunken noodles 10/10. amazing food, quick service, crispy tofu. With Sabbai Express you cannot go wrong.
This is the best Thai food in the twin cities. Wonderful service that’s quick yet made-to-order.
Amazing Donuts, the flavor is top notch
Their food is so so delicious!! I ordered the Phad Thai noodles mild and the fried spring rolls! Seasoned to perfection! Great customer service! This is my second time ordering and I love it!
My husband went and picked up some food for us and we ordered the Che Lomein and sesame chicken. My lo mein was so spicy it was not even edible to eat. My husband said 1 spicy, OMG could not taste food and it was bu horrible. Husband ordered sesame chicken and the chicken was gross and stringy. We try to support business during this Pandemic!! Will never ever go get food from there again. Nothing was edible, except egg rolls.
Yummy. Great wings here.
Good food, AMAZING bubble tea.
I ordered the drunken noodles with mock duck and no eggs, and I'm pretty dang happy. There is a fair amount of food for the price, although the veggies are lacking in quantity, and the taste is excellent. Noodles are cooked well and veggies seem pretty fresh to me.
The spice is serious. They don't mess around here. My dish was a three star, and at any other MN restaurant it would be a 5 star. Really, really grateful for spicy food here!
Two complaints: the drunken noodles did just not have enough vegetables. There are literally 11 veggies in the whole dish split between carrots, cauliflower & broccoli. The second thing is the straws for the bubble tea are too small for the pearls, which is a first world bummer.
Don't believe the five star reviews. They are fake. I've probably eaten at a few hundred Thai restaurants and this is the worst. Pad Thai had no flavor except salt. None. There were two tiny shreds of carrot. And a few bean sprouts and no other veggies. Avoid this place, there are many better choices nearby.
Love this place, go here often for their Shrimp and Tofu Pad-Ti or their Shrimp and/or Tofu Green Curry. Love it all, oh and I love their bubble teas - yummy! Highly recommend to anyone who wants great food. The facility in Minneapolis is within the Global Market building. You should check it out the stores near them are also nice I've purchased a few items from the surrounding stores as well.
Some of the best sesame chicken I have had in Minnesota. Fair price and had enough food for 2 meals.
I used to love going to Sabbai Express for bubble tea and stirfry. I'm disappointed to say I will not be back. Yesterday I ordered a red curry and it tasted like it was going bad, and that it had been prepared a very long time ago. I kept trying to eat it but I could tell something was not right. I brought it back to Sabbai staff to let them know it was bad and they completely shut me down, claiming it was prepared that morning and the staff person ate it for lunch so they knew for a fact it was fine. They refused to give me a replacement or refund. Today I woke up with food poisoning. So I won't be returning.
Had the Pad Thai and shrimp fried rice, with a tasty Thai Tea bubble tea. They make it fresh and quick, and it tastes amazing. Spicy levels come out just the way you want (medium has a solid kick but is not overpowering). One of the best spots in Midtown.
Beef pad thai is the best dish on the menu.
Orange chicken taste like rubber covered in ketchup and they overcharge you check your receipt! even the egg roll dipping sweet and sour sauce taste like ketchup.
The person at the counter covered all over the basics: Asking me if I want a receipt, telling me how long the food would take, and going ahead with bagging it for me when I was unsure whether or not I want to take out, if that was the best option. I ordered the shrimp Tom Yum, and it was a good amount of food for the price! The quality of the food was also acceptable!
We were desperate for a thai fix on a Sunday afternoon and this was a great choice. The medium was a perfect heat level. I'd suggest the Cambodian Lo Mein which was excellent, also passable Pad Thai and Fried Rice dishes. Perfectly solid food in a great location in the Midtown Global Market. Staff was super friendly and provided extra limes and condiments. A great choice!
I absolutely love their taro bubble tea!
Great food and amazing service. The bubble tea is amazing and the staff was nothing short of exceptional
Pad Thai was great. Very good for the price.
I ordered orange chicken with white rice, egg rolls and wontons on my anniversary with my girlfriend. The orange chicken sauce was very thick with no taste, the white rice was overcooked, mushy and parts of the rice were also charred. The sweet and sour sauce was not sweet nor sour, but instead watered down ketchup, the egg rolls were indescribably gross. They have a sign that reads no refunds, I still wanted to let the manager know the food was disgusting and she just shook her head and said ok. Stay away from this place it is a waste of money. I wish there was an option to give this place zero stars and that I uploaded the images I took of the food onto my google account, check them out please.
The best Pad Thai I have ever had! I'm docking one star off because they should be open on Sundays but decide to close on random Sundays.
Ate here, after eating at very authentic and delicious thai places.
Definitely will not choose to eat here again unless there are some Major menu (and customer service) changes.
I had a similar experience to another reviewer (where i felt they definitely should have refunded my partner and I for the food we received) they refused. That was their opportunity to at least get the service part right.... not the case service: 2 stars. food 1 star.
Delicious AUTHENTIC Thai/Cambodian food! They offer different spice levels for each dish which is GREAT because many places either don't or Americanize the food so it really isn't even spicy. The family/staff are fun and easy to talk to. Prices are very affordable and receive bigger portions of food.
I went to the sabbi express in global market and specifically asked the man that works there if the mango was fresh to make the mango smoothies he replied with yes. I watched him make the smoothie and put a juice in there and some powder. There are no refunds allowed. Absolutely ridiculous.
