The Sesame Chicken had a tasty roll and crunch. Also, potatoes + chicken were good!

I wished the pork had a better texture. Pork needed more meat as it tasted fatty and soft.

Regardless: It's A Filling Place to Get Chinese-Thai food.

If you want quantity, this is the place! I got the Pad Thai, which is big enough to serve for two people. It had the essence of Pad Thai, but lacking sauce in my opinion. I also got the dumplings, which had a "Thai-ish" after taste to it as well as the Royal Crispy Roll, which were okay.

I'd recommend this place if you have an urge for Thai food.

The food was great I ordered the Hong Sui Gai. It was fantastic. Super hot and fresh. The egg roll was crispy and tasted great. I would definitely ordered it again.

Pad thai have cracker or bread crumbs that is wet and yet the food is dry and tasteless well it tastes bad I spent 60+ dollars and all the food was horrible none of my family wanted to eat. I purchased from them before and they got my order wrong and told me that's how you make it, why I went back well I guess I needed to learn my lesson 🥴💔😔

Definitely good! I use to go to a Thai place downtown in campus Martius almost every day. I stopped going when I changed jobs and haven’t been able to find a Thai place as good as theirs since. Finally found one today! I got drunken noodles, mild with chicken. Super good! Not over nor under cooked just perfect. The only thing I would recommend is more sauce outside of that, I can’t wait to go back. Happy to have found a Thai place with good food!

Not a bad 1st visit, ordered the Thai curry with chicken and shrimp with an order or crab rangoon. The flavors were there with the curry the crab rangoon was decent. Would definitely try some other dishes.

EDIT: I placed an order at 5:10 it’s now 6:00 I left without getting my food. If you are a take out place the order should be complete in bag in 40 minutes max. You have no customers to attend to for dine in. I thought that’s the whole purpose. It’s pretty sad because I love to support small business. But unfortunately I’m not gonna be returning here.

I've been coming to Thai City for over 20 years. I moved away from the area and still come when I want good Chinese/Thai cuisine.

遅くなったランチ、買物中に見つけたお店。to goのみ。定番のパッタイ(Shrimp)とフライドライス(Chicken)両方とも辛さを聞かれてMediumに。量もLaunchかDinnerでLaunchの量にしてもらいました。受け取ったらずっしり重たくびっくりもとても楽しみ！
帰って開けてビックリ、両方ともにめちゃめちゃ多い。2人分以上あります！2食に分けて食べました。
パッタイ→プリプリのエビに、少し酸味の効いたソースにスパイシーがガツンときてとても美味しい！添えてあるライムを絞ると、一気にスパイシーさがマイルドになって爽やかな美味しさになる！ピーナッツの食感も好き。
フライドライス→好みの味付けで、チキンも柔らかくスパイシーも加わりとても美味しかったです。他の物も食べてみたいので、また戻ってきます。

I discovered this restaurant two years ago and I'm so glad that I did! I stopped in one day and ordered and I've been hooked ever since. The service is fast and everyone is friendly. My favorites are the chicken pad Thai and the chicken fried rice. You won't be disappointed!

Chicken/Shrimp Pad Thai was dry. Little to no sauce. Asked for medium spice and due to their being no sauce; no spice. Very large portion of what maybe seemed to be rice noodles cooked earlier in the day, not fresh. The chicken part was ok, shrimp were dry. Disappointing for $15.

The sesame chicken, peanut curry and pad thai are phenomenal, my favorite place.

We ordered carry out, food was great! We had thai fried rice, one with beef and one with chicken, and shrimp red curry pad thai and yellow shrimp curry. Recommend all dishes though the yellow curry was spicier than we prefer (wimp haha) it had great flavor. The other dishes spice were perfect.

The person that took our order was was very nice

The Pad Thai reminds me of Thailand. which is the only place I’ve had Thai food so it’s hard finding the same taste here ..but this one is hard to beat. I didn’t get a fortune cookie but I’ll take that to mean I’m on the right path lol..

Amazing food.

My husband and I are looking for a new Thai/Chinese for our occasional Friday night carry out dinners and this place had good reviews. We were happy with this! I got the sesame chicken (the picture) with medium spice and my husband got general tso mild spice. Mine was very sweet, I would definitely get spicy next time. All in all this was very good and we will definitely be returning to try other dishes.

The best chinese and thai food in town. My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for years and we're never disappointed. Our favorite dishes are the sesame chicken and almond boneless chicken. The food is delicious and satisfying with very nice portions. I also love their crab ragoon too.

Wrong order.
This is a carry out only place so we had to take our order to go. I ordered the Tom Yum soup and received Tom Kha Gai instead. I called to let than know it was wrong and they told me i must have ordered it wrong. I know I did not. They were unwilling to fix the issue. Lost a customer today.

Hard to find decent takeout food nowadays...Very hard to find good Thai food in this area.

I live very close to an "O'sha" Thai place, and after giving the "O'sha" two tries, never again... I just make the 10+ minute drive to pickup from Thai City. Thai city is so much fresher, they use fresher vegetables, and their sauces have a much richer, fresher flavor than the O'Sha.

We usually order on Sundays around 4pm, right when Thai City opens on Sundays, and we have had very fresh, delicious food made right to our specifications.

I will say...If you are the sort of person who likes a bunch of protein with your meal, you will want to order your entree with extra chicken/beef/shrimp/tofu/egg, and pay the extra fee for that.

Personally, I'm OK with the entrees without ordering extra protein. But I'm the type that enjoys my veggies and rice noodles in the yummy sauce, without having my protein in every single bite. I do typically order extra sauce on my pad Thai here.

The leftovers have been even more delicious in the 2 to 3 days after (I heat up in a pan, I cook up some fresh scrambled egg, add part of our leftovers, and add a squeeze of lime juice...and it is delicious). We usually have leftovers for 2 to 3 additional meals. I cannot imagine one person being able to eat the entire entree of the pad Thai, for instance, in one meal.
For two people, we usually order two entrees and share, and we order spring rolls and soup. The two entrees feed us for dinner, lunch the next two to three days.

The service is great and everyone is extremely nice, however the food I had today had no flavor whatsoever. I ordered drunken noodles with tofu and an almond chicken dinner with shrimp fried rice. The food was amazing the few times I had it in the past but today was just not it. The noodles were dry and clumped together and the food was just ingredients, no flavor. Because of this visit, unfortunately I won’t be back.

Best Thai/Chinese in the 48186 area! My boyfriend put me on 2 years ago and we order at least once a week from here! The veggie fried rice is amazing! Spring rolls are the best I’ve ever had. Honestly, nothing we have ordered we have ever regretted. Such sweet people who work hard and provide excellent service and care to their customers. 11/10 do recommend! Don’t forget to tip the carry out jar when you order carry out! No dine in seating since COVID.

Favorite Thai restaurant.

I have eaten at Thai City for years and have always enjoyed it. Yesterday I carryout ordered two different chicken dishes, and neither was very good. The chicken in both dishes, even with sauce, was tough and dry. I hope this was just an off day. I would rather they raise prices then to serve such bad chicken.

I come this restaurant a lot, they have changed some menu items, the staff there does not make u aware of the changes, I ordered beef fried rice, I got beef fried rice with nothing in it no fried egg no vegetables nothing that is usually comes in it, after getting home 30 minutes later to find my food not what I ordered and the young lady wanting to argue with me , so disappointed I will not be returning to Thai city

My usual Thai place was closed. First of all this place is open late during covid-19. Very clean to all necessary precautions. Looks like they have a nice dining room, which many small Thai places don't. Of course at this time everything is carry-out only. You get a ton of food for the money. Great prices. Super fast Service as well Not only quantity but quality this was excellent Thai food and this is now my new Thai place. Ordered food for the family, some of it was mild, others I ordered medium. I prefer medium but both were absolutely great. Five stars and I'm glad my Thai place was closed because I got to experience Thai City.

Shrimp fried was missing the shrimp

While the portion was very generous it was flavorless. Ive never had to put tons of soy sauce on my Thai food to infuse flavor until now.

They didn't give me an cutlery or soy sauces smh....terrible being that they knew it was a carryout order....also for shrimp Pad Thai....there wasnt many shrimp...you could see how many was in it smh
